Best seafood you can have in the keys. I have been there 4 or 5 times and food is consistently good. We bring all the friends and family down, and now it is their favorite place. Biggest portions of fish and expertly prepared. I love the blackened mahi and wife loves the lobster. Deserts will make you feel guilty they are so good. Just don't sit outside during the summer afternoon or the flies will be dining with you.

This is an amazing restaurant! It doesn't look friendly... but take a chance and you will be amazed - organic foods - completely homemade - local fish market so the fish is the freshest

This place used to be really great. Fresh caught fish daily and wonderful staff. The new owner that bought the place seems to want to run it into the ground. The fish is now all frozen, this kitchen is very slow which causes lots of meal issues, this in turn makes a bad place to work. Consequently most of the good staff have quit. As a local who has been coming weekly for a couple of years I am very disappointed

If we're talking about the young girl at the bar, 5 star, very friendly and sweet. The food, not so much. I probably wouldn't have written a review if the "manager" had attempted to do some sort of service recovery. I wanted nothing back, money, because I had eaten everything. Just a simple jester to acknowledge my opinion would have been fine. The nice girl asked about the food so I told her, it wasn't very good. She left the bar to try to make it right, even though I insisted she do nothing. It was when she came back that I finally had an issue. She said the "manger" tasted the shrimp and he thought it was just fine. Okay again, I wanted nothing but now you've insulted me. The shrimp was over cooked and tasted funny and the couch chowder was way too greasy, sorry. The funny thing is, my friends oyster Po boy was good and he was the one who ended up on the toilet afterwards.

Snuck in about 30 minutes before closing. We had just drove into sugarloaf so we were happy to be seated. Place is kinda dive but with heart. Awesome service from the waitress. She didnt mind that we came in a little later. She was super helpful and very nice. Looked amazing in those cutoff Jean shorts too.. (don't tell my gf) She told us some great sightseeing places to hit up and to avoid which were nice. Food was great! Definitely set the standard that has yet to be met elsewhere in the keys thus far. Try the bacon wrapped shrimp kabobs! I'm still craving more of those.. All in all, doesn't look like much from the outside but don't be fooled. So worth it.. see you next time.

Location is super nice, but the disappointment started with the service. Our server was kinda slow, didn't show herself too often outside. Later we noticed that other tables were waiting for orders for ever and ever as well - this place has a service problem! The food was an overall meh as well. I had the blackened mahi mahi (dry, done) and my company had an okay shrimp salad with a super garlicy dressing which we had to exchange. Value not reflected in price :(.

RJ and I didn't stop here in Feb because we read some bad reviews after our Oct visit, and we were afraid that it was ruined! But we decided to give it a try and I'm so glad we did. We sat at our same table as our other visits, right by the water. RJ had the grilled grouper and I had the blackened grouper. They came with salads, I got the house and he got the Caesar. The menu didn't say the house comes with blue cheese which I really hate. I was going to see if they could make me a new one but RJ just switched with me. The grouper was the best I have ever had. Huge, juicy chunks of sweet fresh fish. It also came with garlic mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables which were delicious. We shared the key lime pie for dessert which was heavenly!! This is still one of my favorite places in all of the Keys!

Wow. This place issued be be fantastic. Clearly the new owner made some changes for the worse. Specials are gone from the menu, the whole long term staff is gone, service tanked, beer selection shrank, and food quality has plummeted. This was one of my all time favorite places to eat- now I'm just waiting to find something to replace it.

Just had lunch here and it was amazing! Our waiter Colby was awesome! Had the shrimp and the blackened hog fish sandwich. First I don't love fish sandwiches but this one I would order again! My shrimp was good but had food envy when my boyfriend was eating it !!! Cool atmosphere , great service , and super great find! A must !

Ok, used to frequent this place a few years back, it was one of the best fresh seafood places in the keys. Today that isn't true. We couldn't wait to eat here after a 3 year absence, the shrimp basket contained large overcooked, greasy shrimp with a small helping of bland frozen, cardboard fries. The fish sandwich was under cooked and fishy. They used to sell reasonably priced food, not anymore. Service was slow and sparse at best. The really sad part was watching the bartender cleaning the outside tables, emptying glasses with ice, fruit and who knows what into the canal a Manatee just swam down and fish frequent. It was disgusting to see the limes and lemons floating in the canal next to our table! Classless.

We went to The Wharf tonight because this is the place I wanted to eat at for my birthday. It was the worst experience I have had there. It took forever just to get a drink after my husband went inside and asked the bartender for a server. She came out, with an attitude, and took our drink order. She then proceeded to talk about us to the people at the bar. Our food, took an hour, and we just ordered appetizers, and didn't get them. We asked for the check for our drinks and started to leave when the GM came out telling us our food was FINALLY coming out. Nope, sorry. Had words with my husband, really? Courtney, our server, was the only one there, nobody helped her, bartender wouldn't help her. She was very nice, needs to find a new job. It's my birthday, was looking forward to the dinner, will never go back, and we live here.

Good atmosphere, great food, and great staff. I was turn between the Lobster basket and the BLT (bacon/lobster/tomato) and the waitress steered me towards the cheaper BLT with no debate. And it was amazing!! Then for dessert I was torn again. She told me that the Carrot Cake was the easy answer again, and boy was she right!! We sat outside next to the water (a small access channel but with a good view of the larger water). Prices were quite reasonable and we definitely plan on going back there! Good lunch and dinner food! And amazingly awesome carrot cake!!

The Wharf is a local bar near our home in Summerland Key and we've had issues there before. With the new owners and convenience we decided to give it another go. Not a good idea. There were 3 of us and we all put in our order. We got a smoked fish dip appetizer. I ordered the Grilled Hogfish with garlic mashed potatoes, another member of my party ordered the Fried oyster basket with fries and the last person ordered the Snapper special which was Tomato Basil Snapper with rice and vegetables. The smoked fish dip was good, but it was served with corn chips when it would have been much better with crackers like most other places in the Keys serve it. When we received our dinner, a different waitress came out and delivered it. The first thing she said was "oh that doesn't look like the special, let me check", OK, so she checks and comes back and says ,"Yup that's the special," but it wasn't. The meal was supposed to come with rice, but instead it had mashed potatoes. This was just the beginning of the confusion....I instantly knew that the dish provided to me was not Hogfish. When we asked the waitress she said, "Oh I don't know what fish looks like," so she got her manager, who brought out a Hogfish filet to prove it to us and ensured me rather rudely that my fish was Hogfish. Now, I live down here and know the difference between fish, and he was treating me like someone who didn't know better. This was unacceptable. What we realized shortly after was the fish the manager "swore" was Hogfish was actually the Yellowtail snapper "special" from the other member of our party. When we switched plates, it was clear that her plate...(the same one the last waitress ensured her was her snapper special!) was actually my Hogfish plate. Both plates had mashed potatoes so my dish didn't seem to be her special either, the fish was just grilled like my Hogfish but of course it cost an extra $5 because it was the "special." Lastly the fried oysters were inedible. They were overfried, sandy and disgusting. The waitress came over and said "Oh you guys don't look too satisfied" and we explained to her the fish situation and she just said "Oh sorry" and walked away. My biggest gripe here is how does your waitstaff AND MANAGER not know which fish is which?!?!? Also how can your waitstaff not know the difference between plates? Luckily our plates were switched because substituting cheaper fish for better fish is totally illegal, but the management not correctly knowing the difference should be even more illegal. How can you trust what a restaurant serves you when they don't know themselves. Unacceptable.

We liked this very casual local hangout with fresh fish and a nice patio by the water. It seems like the locals enjoy it too and the seafood was quite fresh. Reasonable prices and friendly (albeit forgetful) service make this a reliable stop-in. Good weather means a good time at the Wharf. One of the better spots around. Not fancy, but friendly.

Not sure what five stars looks like here, but GREAT dinner. Started with fried plantains. Never had one. Only exposure to Plantains eas on Seinfeld. Yummy! Wife had oysters, I had Lobster BLT. Both great. Oysters farmed a block from our home in Washington State. Go figure. Great service, happy atmosphere.

Found this little gem on the way back from Key West. Everything was awesome. The food, the staff, my chick. Hip outdoor seating right on a canal . These guys just freakin kill it.

While staying on Summerland Key, this was the closest restaurant to our rental house. It was a short 1 mile walk, so we were able to take the kids. We also made it sans kids a couple of times. Patty, the bartender, was hilarious. The menu seemed to be getting smaller as they had blacked out a few items. Pay close attention to the picture of the menu in the picture section. The first time we went was specifically for the ceviche. When we arrived and tried to order it, we were told that it was a special that wasn't always available. Even though that's what we ultimately wanted, we made do with the remaining items on the menu. I had the grilled dolphin po' boy. It was perfect: nice flavor with a little bit of extra heat. The side sauce was just right, and the fries were a mixture of crispy and firm. My wife had the bacon-wrapped shrimp. Her dish was cooked very well, but it didn't taste the way we thought it would. There was a small layer of rich cheese between the bacon and shrimp that you won't notice until you bit into it. If that's something you think you'd like, then order it. They do it perfectly for those with that kind of taste preference. We ordered the coconut shrimp to go for my sis. She said it was fantastic. I'd recommend any/all of these three dishes. For drinks, my wife had the rum punch. It was strong, and perfect for beating the heat. I had the piña colada. It was the absolute best one I've ever had. Patty added a Meyers Rum topper. She mixed a bit too much, so I ended up with a drink-and-a-half for the price of a single drink. You can also order fresh fish to take home and cook yourself. It's all caught right around the area, so it's super fresh. There is a wide selection, so prepare to be overwhelmed. The building is a little divey, and it's hard to get to the first time. Once you've found it, you'll be bookmarking the location. Cheap, fun and just right - I hope Patty is there when you go!!

We were visiting the keys on vacation and coming back from Key West and saw this establishment heading back to Islamorada. Decided to stop because my family was hungry. We get seated and immediately the hostess tells us they are out of chicken because their "truck was late". We then proceed to order and the waitress gets our meal wrong. The food was extremely overpriced and the menu was vastly limited. For a place that touts their food we were very disappointed. Would not recommend.

Was on a shoot in Key West and dined here not once, but TWICE. Had the prime rib which was comparable to eating a cow that had been raised by Shaquille O'neal. The meat was absolutely ridiculously and deliciously juicy that I thought my mouth was tasting the nectar of the cow gods.

We were on the way back to Miami from the keys and decided to grab a little something to snack on. Wharfs was close by, we stopped and ordered their most popular appetizer which is bacon wrapped shrimp - DELICIOUS!!!!!!!! I'm so glad we stopped by on this beautiful day.

Great spot for lunch on the water! The atmosphere was nice, very laid back with outdoor picnic tables and a 'quaint' feel to it overlooking a canal and the Niles Channel. After reading the reviews I just HAD to try the B.L.T. (Bacon/Lobster/Tomato) sandwich! It did not disappoint although for the price I thought it should have more bacon on it (you could barely taste the bacon as the breaded lobster was prominent) and perhaps a heartier roll as it was served on what appeared to be toasted white bread. My husband had the bacon-wrapped shrimp app which was also good and decent sized. This place is not cheap but most places around here that serve seafood aren't. Just check it out!

This place has been a favorite lunch place of ours - the location is awesome and the food is decent. Since the new people took over unfortunately the friendly vibe is gone , the place is poorly run and staff are completely unorganized - very sorry to have lost one of our goto places:(

I do not understand how this place can get more than 1 star. I had the lobster, bacon and tomatoe sandwich. The bread was soggy and the lobster was gritty and tough. My boyfriend had the Captain's Dinner which came with fried conch, hog fish and fried oysters. The oysters were inedible, the looked like mushy pancakes. The French fries were the most edible part of the meal (frozen from a bag). To top it off the bill was $80. Go to The No Name Pub instead!

    (1)
  • Richard H.

I was really disappointed in the Wharf under new management. No fish market. No beer menu. No menu at all actually. Worst French fries ever. Rather than mango Cole slaw they had Winn Dixie cole slaw. The big deal is oysters imported from up north. Imported to the place with the best seafood in the world. Major Buzzkill.

Great little hole in the wall! The best part was that we could order individual fish (I got dolphin, husband got grouper, dad got tuna) and you can have it cooked different ways. Little pricey (20-30 per fish entree) but the meal is so large and the fish so good it was worth it! Relaxed atmosphere and the employees were so kind and flexible.

  • Sarah U.

The food was neither good or bad. We got the fried oyster po boy and 1/2 lb shrimp. Shrimp was bland and po boy was nothing to write home about either. Price was also a little outrageous. $13+ for the po boy and came with a small cup of boring coleslaw and a bag of sun chips. The shrimp was 10+, steamed but then served "cold" (really luke warm) on a bed of cabbage and lacked any seasoning. Waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there. On the upside they have a good beer and wine selection and outdoor seating by a small marina. err, we won't be going back though.

One of my favorites!! I've been going in for over a year now and love the place!! They have some great items on their menu and always have fabulous specials. Lobster BLT is amazing, oysters are fresh, fish comes from our local waters!!! Great indoor or outdoor seating at tables or a bar. Nice friendly service.

Stopped here on a whim, checked out yelp and everyone mentioned the smoked fish dip. Ok, why not? It's raining out and we have no place to be, might as well grab a snack. Heehee! One smoked fish dip (insanely good!), conch chowder (don't bother) and BLT (bacon lobster and tomato - holy sh*t you gotta get this!) we are an extremely full couple of happy campers! Don't miss this spot if you are in the area!!! The food is fantastic and the service is amazing! Happy vacation kids!

This was a perfect find. Outdoor picnic tables overlooking a canal & then the beautiful turquoise waters of the gulf. My dog was even welcome here & was brought a bowl of ice water. I had fish tacos & my husband had the Mexican basket. Both were really good. Great lunch!!

Lobster BLT! Hummus Plate! Grilled Asparagus! Split everything, enjoy the sunset and daily Margarita specials. I love this place -- and their take-home wine & organic veggies cold section. Genius. The view, bartenders, food & location/parking are all wonderful!

Great beer, great fresh seafood, what more could you ask for! Our server was real friendly and went out of his way for us after letting us know they had run out of mussels and scallops. They get fresh catch in each day so make sure you go early so they will have everything. The guy across from us had the mussels app and it smelt so go I couldn't pass it up but unfortunately he got the last one but i got the clams in a white wine sauce and they were excellent. My wife got the fried shrimp and they were huge and made just like we do them at home, so highly recommend. Come in shorts, sandals, and relax and enjoy some good food in a laid back atmosphere.

Margarita a little too sour and fish dip was just ok. Lobster BLT was pretty good but our coconut style grouper was a little burnt. Banana cheesecake just right. Nice food and service with good atmosphere. Loved how the outside seating is along a canal, pretty neat setting with lots to look at.

Spending the weekend in Key West I was told I had to try this place. So I drove up to Summerland Key to check this place out. It is a good thing I was using my GPS maps on my phone or I would have overshot this place. The big sign just says seafood and not the name of the place. I pulled in and found the entrance. At the entrance there was a small sign that had the name of the restaurant. Well we walk in and there was only one group in the bar area. I figured it was not busy based on the time I got there which was about 3pm. The wife ordered the fried shrimp basket and I ordered fired shrimp and fish combo. Boy were we disappointed. The shrimp on both our plates were very rubbery to the point we couldn't eat them. The fish was ok but we were already turned off because of the shrimp. So my advice to you is if you are following your GPS maps to this place ignore them.

Sooooo good. Best food I had our entire stay in Key West. Group of 7 and we all tried each other's food. We all agreed that EVERYTHING was fantastic. We will come here again for sure next time we come down.

Being from Cape Cod, I wasn't sure that I would like their seafood, but I gave it a try. Their scallops were delicious - cooked similar to the way I do them at home, but these were blackened. I do like a bit of kick to my food, but next time I would ask for them to be lightly blackened, as these were quite hot and I needed to scrape off some of the seasoning - but they were cooked perfectly and it was a good sized portion. My husband also had fish and thought it was very good. We will return. Since it was chilly, we ate inside. The decor wasn't very appealing inside, but I think the outdoor seating area is probably much nicer - and the whole place would probably have looked a lot better on a warmer, sunnier evening. Go and enjoy it.

Meh. Wasn't good or bad. Our waitress was yawning and the coconut shrimp was over cooked. We had the oysters and they were decent.

Just as amazing as the first time! The freshest and best tasting coconut encrusted fish that I have ever had, wonderful service, relaxing atmosphere...just can't say enough. We brought 9 hungry and pissed off family members and everyone left happy and laughing...seriously. Worth the drive from Key West or Marathon.

The food was absolutely delicious. Couldn't have been happier with the choices my fiancé and I made. The pomegranate margarita was strong but delicious. The prices were good. And the view was awesome. It's right on a canal.

So I asked a local what the best place was to get local seafood and I was sent to the Wharf. The location is nice and the outdoor and indoor seating is comfortable. They had some nice happy hour drink specials and the wait staff was working hard. However, then I am in the Florida Keys seeking out seafood, I want to be amazed. My food started out at the bottom of the likeable scale. I look forward to Conch fritters when I come to the Keys so we placed and order for some fritters. They were terrible. First they were way over cooked, they tasted like they used really old oil to cook them and then it was the chewiest conch I have ever had. We also ordered the captains platter that include hog fish, coconut shrimp and scallops. The scallops and the hog fish were great. The hog fish had a very mild flavor and great texture. The scallops were a wonderful size, tender and cooked perfectly. The shrimp were good, but did not have a lot a flavor. In addition to tarter sauce they have a Jalapeno chutney that they serve that is a great sweet and spicy flavored sauce. I really enjoyed the jalapeno pepper sauce with my scallops. Since this was all fried fish, I was really glad to see that they must have used different oil than what they cooked the fritters in. The batter was much lighter and did not taste bad. I was still concerned through because there was oil pooled on the plate when I was done eating. The service was quick and friendly. They are trying hard but I think that there needs to be just a little more attention to the details in the cooking process.

I ate here twice last weekend and totally enjoyed both meals. First outing was dinner. Sarah the waitress was fantastic! Super friendly, helpful with the menu and she even brought us bug spray and set out mosquito coils so we could enjoy a little alfresco dining along the waterway! We enjoyed beers (cannot remember which - something toasted? YUM!) and a very large, very potent passionfruit margarita that seemed to be made from REAL passionfruit. Not a kernel of high fructose corn syrup to be found! Food: Smoked fish dip - ranks as one of the best! It came with a generous portion of Cuban crackers, red onion and JALAPEños! Hello! Mussels diablo - amazing sauce and plenty of toasty bread to soak it up. Salad with blackened fish - fish was cooked perfectly! The salad was a bit soggy as it came dressed. Coconut fried lobster - this one didn't entirely work - the lobster was awesome, the coconut breading was awesome, but together it was a bit off. We just picked it apart and ate the components separately though! We returned for lunch a few days later. This time the service was a bit slow. The margaritas were just as strong and delectable though! I believe this time pineapple, key lime and blood orange flavors were sampled! The food was also very good although to be honest, we had spent the morning drinking beer (it's what's for breakfast!!) on a boat, so my recollection of what was consumed is fuzzy. There was a snafu with the credit card machine that took some time to sort out, but they were very apologetic about it.

Wish they didn't overcook the shrimp , but all else was rather tasty. The Keylime pie was great despite the Hershey sauce. They should use Nutella, and they just might have the best in the Keys. Yes, pretty darn good. I had the snapper. It tasted normal like any other frozen grilled fish. Also had the Dolphin fish(Mahi) sandwich, also ok. You get nothing outstanding to make you say hmmmmm except for the pie. But all was ok. Great outside spot to sit and enjoy when you're hungry. Srevice was great also. Being from Cali, I guess we are spoiled.... I think overall, we have fresher fish than all the places I ate in Florida, even had dinner at a top spot with top stars and I have to admit the main course was very good, but the ceviche, the grouper sushi rolls....they were barely just ok. It maybe that the average places here are mediocre, and the decent fresh fish is kept for the super expensive places?( shrugging). Oh, I should add that they make a very good margarita!

On our way down US 1 we saw the Wharf's big SEAFOOD sign up on the roof just after crossing onto Summerland Key. My first thought was "Is this a restaurant or a fish shop?" until I saw the name of the restaurant mostly obscured by big plant beside the front door. I agree with another reviewer they could improve their signage. This restaurant was started by a very experienced restaurateur who claims to have opened the first Mexican place in Key West back in the 70's. Just looking around, you could tell you were in good hands. Casual but professional ambience, service, the whole package. It's a cute little place, I get the impression they don't cut corners to provide locally sourced, fresh ingredients. The wife and I split the fish of the day basket, which featured red snapper on this day. It came fried, but I guess you could also get it grilled (?). We didn't ask. Our daughter got the kid's fish and fries and it was practically the exact same thing for much less money. We can't complain, though, since we all ate fresh fish and fries till we were stuffed for about $20 not counting drinks. Pretty good deal IMO. As for the drinks, they also had a $4 Mango margarita special and it was delicious. Be sure and stop by the Wharf Bar and Grill if you're heading down the highway. I had never heard of Summerland Key, but I think we'll be back.

Location was great. The food is overpriced and very bland. My daughter loves salad and she couldn't even eat it, it was flavor less (house salad). Service was not good. The waitress did not even ask why the salad was barely touched. Will not go back when we return to the the Florida Keys.

Went for Bring your own fish and gave us less than half our OWN fish and charged unreal amount for it. Unbelievable. Horrible and slow service all around. Don't bother stoping in.

We stopped here for some lunch the other day. The special was fish tacos and they were really good. The fish (snapper) was light and flaky and just perfect. We tried an appetizer of the smoked fish dip with cuban crackers and lime and WHOA. We bought some to take home...it was delicious. One of the best margaritas we've had...and they've got a good selection of craft beer as well.

A bit expensive. Food tasted good. For the price you would think they could dress the place up a little.

  • Monica Y.

Great atmosphere, great menu. Grilled shrimp and coconut crusted dolphin were large portions and tasty. Wait staff were not very attentive. We were one of the last tables and had to go inside to get our check. The outside bartender and host walked past us several times but didn't ask us if we needed refills, take out boxes, or our check. We would return, but we wish the wait staff would have worked more as a team so that we weren't waiting...

  • Lydia R.

Meh. 4 of us ate here and only one enjoyed the meal. The server was super nice and polite. The setting on the water was pretty. The bathroom outside was gross and no mirror or hot water. Makes me wonder about the servers only having cold water to wash with - germs. The fish sandwiches (and most of the menu) were was overpriced for a picnic table joint. Margarita was weak.

  • Fort M.

Just had dinner at the outside deck. Our server though friendly and well intentioned had problems remembering requested ice water and limes. My friend had the Captain's Platter which was one of the specials of the day. It consisted of fried scallops, shrimp & lobster. I had the fried lobster basket. Everything was over cooked and the batter totally overwhelmed the taste of the fish. It tasted more like a "fast food" meal than a casual sit down dinner restaurant. Too bad, with the waterside setting it could have a great experience. My suggestion would be to get rid of the short order cook or get someone to manage the kitchen and wait staff who gives a damn.

This place is terrific. Our first time we stopped in for their fish market. They have a large variety of fresh caught, local fish at very reasonable prices. The size of the facility can be deceiving as they had a lot more to choose from than some of the larger markets we visited. The second time we went there to eat and it was fabulous. Their version of the BLT - Bacon, Lobster and Tomato was outstanding. One of the best sandwiches I've eaten. And a lot of lobster. One of our friends had the flounder and it was also very good. Highly recommend for visitors to the Keys looking for good food and good value.

Great location, on the highway but accessible by boat. Got a recommendation from a fellow boater we could pull right up. Island reggae playing lightly in the background, great happy hour deals and the food was good! Ordered the house salad which was okay, if lettuce was crispier it would have been epic. The lobster BLT was super delicious, sweet and great bread, just wish we knew it was fried before we ordered it. Finished it off with key lime pie which was just the right amount of sweet. Definitely would come back to explore more of the menu.

Food was okay, nothing special, and the prices were outrageous for the quality. Who knows, maybe they gave us the tourist menu. My aunt and I both ordered Po Boys. The combination of the size/cut of the bread and the amount of lettuce on the roll, it was just way too big and messy to pick up and eat. I ended up only eating the Mahi and leaving the rest of the sandwich. I'd rather drive up the road to Boondocks Bar and Grill...reasonably priced, delish and live music!

We love The Wharf!! This was a fantastic find for us while visiting the Keys. The atmosphere is really laid back, the staff super fast and friendly...the food...yummy good AND this is a Green restaurant (check out their website). What we ordered: Dr. Pepper $2.25 Chips & Salsa $3.95...Plentiful. Fried Shrimp $11.95...Crispy goodness, these aren't wimpy shrimp! Mussels Diablo $12.95...Fresh and best sauce ever...from what my fiancé says. Triple Fries $6.95....A combo of sweet potato, steak, and crinkle fries, all of which seasoned very well and it comes with 3 different sauces for your dipping pleasure. Special Rita 4 @ $3.00...Hands down, the best margaritas we had in the Keys (multiple flavors to choose from). The Chips and Salsa, Fried Shrimp and Fries were enough for all of us to share while my fiancé hoarded the mussels. You have a choice of seating, outside by the water or pub style indoors. They are also home to a fish market...and NO it did not smell fishy! As Arnold Schwarzenegger said in Terminator, "I'll be back!"

This. Place. Rocks. They have a good selection of craft beer, local fish, and yummy veggies not drowned in butter. Indoor seating as well as waterfront. They also sell organic produce and liquor. Their salads are not organic, but they made me one anyway- no extra charge. Our server was friendly, helpful, and attentive. NOT a tourist trap/ clip joint! We both had grilled snapper. $23, but easily 3/4 - 1 pound of fish. If you like your fish without anything (butter, oil, etc.) you need to be specific (e.g., "naked" as opposed to "butter on the side.") Also, yes, skeeters are a problem, but they have table side mosquito-fighters, coils, and buckets of Off! I wish we had a place this awesome back home.

Delicious fish dip and the lobster BLT was amazing! The tables by the canal, with the bay in the background, are so cute and the server was incredibly friendly. This was such an awesome find in the Keys.

Our favorite restaurant in the keys! Service was great. Very friendly, helpful, and attentive. Food was phenomenal. Very casual feel. Went on "Tijuana Tuesday". DELICIOUS. reasonably priced. For our family of five to eat and DRINK it was under $100. Has a very "fresh" vibe to it. Has a neat little market inside too. Definitely will return if/when we go back to the keys!

Wow, what a fantastic place to find while driving to Key West! We are from out of town and were hoping to find a great place for lunch and we did! This place has great outside seating, right on the water, excellent service and the food is amazing! We had fresh oysters on the half shell( several options to choose from) fresh made on site smoked fish dip, amazing! blackened snapper on a Cesar salad sweet potato fries fresh peel and eat shrimp and chocolate moose. In fact I am pretty sure they made all of the food was made fresh on site and nothing came out of package or was pre-made or was frozen. We also had amazing margaritas that came in variety of flavors which they also made the the juice mix for with fresh fruit ( I think). My favorite was blood orange. This by far is the best road side lunch place I have ever been too! Excellent ambiance, service and food! Definitely stop and enjoy a meal. It is worth it to stop and relax a while. The prices are excellent as well.

First, I think this place needs WAY more signage. If I hadn't looked it up on yelp, I would have never stopped there . . . and if I did, it would not have been in search of a meal....maybe in search of bait. After finding it, I was seating out back. Right on a little canal (and you can pull up in your boat). It actually is really cute in the back and perfect for a lunch in the keys. They also have a bucket with bug spray for you, which is awesome. There were four of us and one person ordered the triple treat fries as part of their meal. It came out first and it was ENORMOUS. (I later found out all of the portions are huge.) The table inhaled the fries (to jokes from our waitress about how we actually finished them all). But they were awesome - wedges, seasoned, and sweet potatoes. Plus, they have three ketchups - habanero, chipotle, and famous house - in order from favorite to least (plus regular Heinz). My suggestion - eat some sweets with the habanero ketchup. It is rockin! For my real meal, I got the fried oyster basket. (which came with crinkle cut fries - why do they have a 4th secret fry!?) The oysters were DELICIOUS. Fried to perfection, perfect taste, perfect everything except for how full I became. Also, we had a skinny blonde waitress who was great. Slightly outspoken, but funny and beyond sufficient at her job. If I were in the keys a few more days I probably would have gone back and ordered the same exact thing.

They have specials for each day of the week, and today was Tijuana Tuesday. I had spicy shrimp fajitas and they were sizzling hot, fresh and delicious. It came with sauteed yellow squash, red bell pepper and red onions, plus refried beans and yellow rice. Excellent degree of spice to enhance the flavors without overpowering the dish.It was tr

Super cute place. A little expensive but when you're in the Keys you usually say "Eff it!" My favorite samich in the Keys was the Lobster Reuben but honestly it has changed. It is now the B.L.T. (bacon, lobster, and tomato) from The Wharf. You can not top fried lobster, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. You just can't. I have included a pic. It speaks for itself. The Muscles Diablo and the Oyster Basket were also amazing. The Mango Coleslaw rules. Went there again for Sunday Brunch. Had the Crab Eggs Benedict and the bf had the Lobster Eggs Benedict.....with home fries....and fresh fruit. Per.fect. It couldn't have had anything to do with the fact that we did the "Duval Crawl" the night before and I was slightly hungover. No, not at all. But it was pretty effing amazing. They're also a "green" kind of place which gets them extra points from me. They use local and organic herbs and produce and other sustainable stuff. They also have a pretty big selection of organic beers and wines.

What a surprisingly nice place. We were met outside by a hostess and escorted indoors and seated. Everyone we met associated with the place is friendly. We dined inside though there is very nice and ample seating outside on the water front. The food here is good, good. The menu isn't huge but there is something sure to please. Large selection of unusual bottle beers and some are micro brews. I'm a non-alcohol beer drinker and was delighted to have three selections offered. This is unheard of, as most places only offer one. My sweetie and I had the basket of shrimp. It includes coleslaw and fries. Sweet Potato fries are offered at an additional charge. We will be back. If you have a dog on a leash you can dine outside.

We didn't enjoy this place at all! The waitress acted like she wished she was elsewhere. The food was just so-so...only one choice for salad dressing (a vinaigrette that really wasn't), coconut shrimp didn't have much coconut, grilled dolphin that was swimming in oil, and no suitable dipping sauce for chicken fingers. We won't be eating here again! It appears that they're trying to be too many things...marina, fish market, bar, restaurant. They need to decide and do one thing well...

The service here was impeccable! Can't say enough about it. However, I don't think the food rating the high price posted for the quality. I'm an excellent chef, so when I go out, I want to be dazzled. Unfortunately, the food was a little bland and basic. It's a neat place and convenient to where we are, but the prices were a bit too high for what we got.

Love this place. After a long day of shark fishing in back country my son and I stop here for peal and eat shrimp and rum punch and virgin piña colata . Highly recommend the grilled Cobia!! Great place to sit outside and soak up true Fl Keys atmosphere!!

We drove by this place a few times during our stay in Little Torch Key. Finally stopped and very glad we did. Had the smoked fish dip to start and it was wonderful. Tuesday's are Tiajuana Tuesday's. They had a great choice of Mexican dishes. I had the Burrito which was great. Not filled with rice but skirt steak and lettuce, peppers and onions. Rice and beans on the side. Great!!! My wife had the Mexican Pizza which was also very good. Took a piece of fried Bannana cheese cake to go. WOW THE BEST!!!

Ordered the grouper with butter & cilantro but came out none of the taste. It was just plain. So either cook was lazy or waiter didn't get the order right. But the fish was fresh and that's made the 3 star, otherwise I'd give a 2 for overall review.

12/31/2011 We got three meals that we didn't order and the waitress said she'd bring us the correct ones and never did. Then we got charged extra. We also ordered a side of fries and asked the waitress twice and she forgot those as well. I think they started their tipsy NYE night early.

This is an incredible place...once people find it, they choose to come back time and time again. Honestly, it's one of the best places in the keys...the fisherman bring the fresh catch into the docks at the Wharf straight to the kitchen. Everything is prepared extremely well, with fresh ingredients. The staff is great...it can accomodate bigger parties...and the happy hour is wonderful. Try the margaritas, they are great...and they serve Bombora Vodka in the well...australian vodka distilled from grapes. Outstanding! the Lobster BLT is great...any fish special will leave you licking the plate..the pasta diablo...outstanding. Cool waterfront seating, and beautiful views! Don't miss this gem in the keys!

OMG...now that was good seafood!! If you get the baskets it is $15. It was a lot of food. My wife had the coconut shrimp basket and I had the blackened dolphin basket...both were excellent...with a happy hour beer (3-6) it was really good!! A must stop!!

We found this restaurant quite by accident on the way to Key West. Just looked around and saw the sign. About 8-10 cars has been parked at place and that's a good sign. Very original restaurant with fresh seafood. Tasty and fairly inexpensive. Came back here again in a few days for lunch. Plan to come again on the road in miami at the end of our holiday. Highly recommended for seafood lovers!

Might be hard to find. Needs a better sign, but worth the effort. Great Bloody Marys. Lunch was very good. Wait staff and bartenders were friendly and helpful. AND the place is dog friendly. Make the effort, punch it in to your phone or GPS.

We have had a vacation home in the lower Keys for 34 years (live in Miami) and have found it very hard to find good dining choices. We were very pleased with The Wharf! it was a great experience. We have seen so many places come, thrive and then close so we hope they are able to stay open because we were very happy with our service, the setting, the ambiance, the wine list and the food....cooked to perfection with cloth napkins to boot and a lovely lantern on our table! we will be back and will support their efforts as we have had so much trouble finding a good place to eat that I have actually had to stay home and cook! ugh!! Loved this place. Shrimp wrapped bacon with Gouda appetizer was yummy. BLT with lobster was great. Mango coleslaw was delicious. The snapper po boy that my sweetie had was very good and the deep fried banana cheesecake was yummy! I'm sure it was all low cal ;). Our waitress made great suggestions and was friendly and efficient.

Perfect place for seaside dinner. Margaritas were very tasty. The grouper and snapper were outstanding. Salads and veggies were tasty. The smoked fish dip was an awesome appetizer, and the key lime pie was the perfect way to finish the meal. Wait staff was great too.

Great place! The owner here is very nice and the staff helpful. The place doesn't look like much from the road, but is very pleasant inside. The food is great. We're here in the Keys working and have found all the best places to eat. This is one of them.

We went for brunch this labor day weekend, first ones there at 10 of 10, bartender was friendly made us a great bloody Mary while we waited for kitchen to prep....order the lobster Benedict or portabella Benedict, unreal...the seasoning on the English muffin was great. Prices on average with rest of the keys.

Great place right on the water ... Fish Sandwich is huge and best one in the keys - good fries too - Fisherman pull right up to deliver fresh catch - Wow. Great selection of Beers but I had bartender make me a awesome drink with Bombora Vodka (from grapes for Australia) it was the perfect drink with my blackened snapper sandwich. Feed the fish your leftovers if you have any ...

We've eaten here twice, and both times we were impressed by the friendly staff. Yesterday was hot and humid so we chose to eat at the Wharf so we didn't have to leave our dog in the car. One of the staff was right on it, bringing our pooch a bowl of ice water first thing! Beers followed for us, which is the appropriate order for a dog lover. We tried the yellowtail snapper and fish tacos. The snapper was cooked perfectly, seasoned well and served with a side of delicious cole slaw. My fried fish tacos appeared to be slightly overcooked, but when I bit into the fish it was moist flakey and delicious. The spanish rice was nice and fluffy with just the right amount of spice, and refried beans contained nice bits of red pepper and fresh onions. We also took home some hogfish, which was beautifully translucent and cooked it up for dinner. Thanks to the owner and staff for two great meals. Go there.
