Key west pinks and lobster tails cooked on the grill with a lot of lemon and a little garlic butter. Our favorite meal of the trip we prepared ourselves thanks to Joe's high quality seafood. Preservative free shrimp- healthy and great tasting! Thanks again Joe!

Reviews:
Wife and I stayed at Parmer's for a week, in the Dolphin room. Clean room, and simple. Was worried about comments about decor, but actually the decor was lovely - (well-shot) photos of the property on the walls. Simple decor, but the whole place is simple, and that's the point - no flash, just laid-back. Room was an efficiency, and so had a stove, fridge, silverware, etc., all very clean. Bed was firm, which we like, but could have used extra pillows. Really comfortable rocker/glider in the room, too. Bathroom was clean, showerhead was a little low, but considering both my wife and I are at 6 feet, we're always running into that problem, ha! Daily continental breakfast was good, better than most. Free wifi is in the room and around it (outside), but on some nights was wonky. Expanding the wifi range would be SUCH a bonus to this place, but I don't know how expensive that would be. Pool was lovely, with a nice 6 foot "deep" end - many hotels now are getting rid of their "deep ends", probably for insurance reasons, I like that Parmer's still has theirs. The biggest draws? One - the cute, 50's / 60's beach-bungalow feel of the place. Don Draper would be right at home vacationing here. You just don't see this anymore, and considering we're a half-century since the aesthetic, I feel like this is a conscious move - keep going with it, love the vibe. But mostly? The waterfront! Man, the orange hammock between the trees right on the water? Divine! The sun rising over the water every morning, man I'll never forget it. Good dock space, too, for boaters. We didn't use it, but a lot of boaters did, so if you're on a boat looking for a room, motor on over to Parmer's!
On the water? - check Boat slip? - check Full kitchen? - check Super clean and chill place? - check Outdoor grill? - check Outside deck overlooking the water? - check Hot powerful shower with nice amenities in the bathroom? - check Sleepy? - maybe a bit much.. But who cares Restaurants nearby? - nope. Taxi required or car Will we return here again??? - Check and double check
Great place to stay when visiting the keys. had our own private boat dock for many diving and fishing trips. very friendly staff wonderful room's with full kitchen and bathroom. clean pool for the family time on shore and breakfast every morning. We have stayed here many times and always come back five stars

The food was good with a typical island atmosphere. It wasn't amazing but good. We had blackened mahi sandwich, conch sandwich and conch stew. Service was good. The key lime pie was good but expensive at nearly 6 bucks a slice
On the way back from a Key West wedding, my wife and I stopped for brunch. And oh what a brunch it was. Starting off with the "Bloody Bar" to benefit Save the Reef and then moving on to the "Steak Benedict", everything was fresh and tasty. I have *already* recommended Mangrove Mamma's to the bride and groom, and will be recommending MM to anyone I hear is going south to the Keys. Do yourself a favor and stop and at mile marker 20 for all kind of good eats.
So glad this place was by where we stayed! Stayed 4 nights, went here twice. Their food is some of the best we had in the Keys. The key lime martini was great, seafood quesadilla was great, they caught our fresh catch. The owner actually hangs around so that's cool. Live music every night is really cool, helps the locals out. The rum drink with 4 runs, can't even remember the name, but didn't taste like it had much rum at all. Overall, great place.

Best seafood you can have in the keys. I have been there 4 or 5 times and food is consistently good. We bring all the friends and family down, and now it is their favorite place. Biggest portions of fish and expertly prepared. I love the blackened mahi and wife loves the lobster. Deserts will make you feel guilty they are so good. Just don't sit outside during the summer afternoon or the flies will be dining with you.
This is an amazing restaurant! It doesn't look friendly... but take a chance and you will be amazed - organic foods - completely homemade - local fish market so the fish is the freshest
This place used to be really great. Fresh caught fish daily and wonderful staff. The new owner that bought the place seems to want to run it into the ground. The fish is now all frozen, this kitchen is very slow which causes lots of meal issues, this in turn makes a bad place to work. Consequently most of the good staff have quit. As a local who has been coming weekly for a couple of years I am very disappointed

Looe Key Reef Resort & Dive Center

RJ and I did the snorkel trip to Looe Key. What a super fun trip!! James the captain and his 1st mate Katie were great, and gave us all the info we needed on the way out. We saw dolphins on the ride there, and when we got to the reef, James said he would give us our money back if we didn't see a fish. I saw fish before I even jumped in! It's like swimming in a fish bowl!! We saw thousands of fish, a sting ray, and 2 black tip sharks. The large one swam under me and it was so beautiful! At the 2nd snorkel spot, RJ and I swam out to the buoy that marked the channel. On the way back, another boat whistled to get my attention, and asked me if I saw the goliath grouper under their boat. I swam over to the boat and could not believe my eyes. I couldn't believe he was real, he was 6ft long and 650lbs!! He swam right up to my face and cocked his head like he was a dog that wanted me to pet him!! It was so mind blowing to be in the water with him! RJ had already swam too far past to come back, I wish he could have seen it. And this is exactly why I need a Go-Pro!! On the way back in, we got complimentary drink tickets for the Tiki Bar...yes please!! I would definitely do this trip again!!
I stayed at this resort for 2 weeks, I wanted a place with night life, somewhere I could grab something quick to eat and yet close to Key West. All the staff were excellent, if you act like a butt head then expect the service to be reflective . The bands each night were pretty good and the gals on the dance floor were pretty good too. Food was good, drinks were good but yes the service was a little slow because they only had one bartender and she was running to keep up, the place was packed almost every night. If you want top of the line rooms, then go pay $250 a night in Key West. If you need some place to crash as you party along on your vacation, then this is the place to play and stay. Pool was always nice and clean and so were the grounds. The Captain on the boat was named James and he was so very helpful the entire time we were on the boat. All in all, it's just what I wanted and got. If your too old, snoby or just a pain in the butt, please go somewhere else so you don't spoil my vacation the next time I stay there with your bad attatude.
The Looe Key reef itself was very, very cool. The rays and sharks I saw are the only reasons this place gets more than one star. The "resort" was filthy. If the food had been free, I still would not have eaten it. The snorkeling tour was just awful. Our "guides" clearly wanted to operate a party boat, rather than a professional diving/snorkeling boat. As a result, I had some real concerns about going into the water: serving beer and margaritas to snorkelers in the open ocean was a pretty big red flag; giving them "pool noodles" rather than proper flotation vests was another. One of our guides was much more interested in flexing for various girls in bikinis, rather than watching the clearly inexperienced snorkelers in the water. I'm somewhat amazed that profuse vomiting was the worst thing that happened to anyone--but given the amount of alcohol served, the vomiting itself didn't surprise me at all. There was absolutely no dress code on the boat. The profound abundance of ass crack on board probably did not help the profound abundance of nausea and vomiting among the passengers. I would not recommend this tour to children, or anyone else with eyes. The party boat also ruined much of the snorkeling itself. I explained several times that the yelling and squealing coming from our group was scaring away all of the fish we'd come to see--but it's very difficult to reason with drunk people. By the end of our tour, the only fish remaining were the ones eating the vomit that kept falling off the boat.

Boondocks is always fun with a great atmosphere. The panko wassabi crusted tuna appetizer is great. We were happy with our dinner and had a good time. We also visited for Trivia Night, which is always a fun time, can't beat the $5 bang bang shrimp
Review strictly for the restaurant. Visually, this restaurant is definitely eye catching driving my way to or from the keys. This place is HUGE, bigger than you think. A big and long connected tiki hut style to a mini golf course and they have a gift store. Pretty cool stuff. This is an outdoor restaurant with a bar upstairs and more seating and tables down below where you find yourself in front of a band stage. I am a huge fan of the setup. We had a party of 5 and have never been here before. They have a pretty regular menu and an extensive drink menu. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, bang bang shrimp, crab cakes with mango salsa and some sandwiches. The food was okay. A little too pricey for the taste and size of the food. The crab cakes were pretty good though. But it's only two. The bang bang shrimp however tasted like someone just poured some hot sauce on the shrimp and that's it. Service was okay. Our waitress was quick but did not check on our table as much. I do not really recommend the restaurant to but I think this place would be good for drinks and friends looking for a good time and live music.
Great tourist attraction if you want to play mini golf in the keys, it's the only one.... I'm guessing for a reason. A tiki bar with a retail store charging 400% over costs. It is no means a reasonably priced place for drinks or dinner. I've compared prices between all the local places in the area as this is home for me. Most of the prep work for meals is done way to early not allowing substitutions or changes. All of the meals (10 maybe) that I've had have been sub-par. I was there for the music so I did my best to enjoy. The straw that broke the camels back for me is the fact that they started hiring out of town musicians because they are cheaper. Now we have to pay top dollar for beers and drinks and listen to musicians that couldn't make it in Nashville and are contracted out through a promoter. An older classic place that's been purchased and changed for the worse.

The pizza here is horrible. It really tastes like something you would buy in the frozen section of your local grocery store. The pizza is overpriced and smaller than a large pie you would find in most other pizzerias. It's basically a take out or delivery type place as well with only 2 small 2 chair tables inside and a bench out back. I cannot comment on the other food it may be good it may be bad. If they couldn't get the pizza right I wasn't about to test out more complex menu fair.
The 5 stars is for the calzone and beef subs. These were excellent. Pizza...not so much. Excellent service and friendly staff. Would eat here again.
Ordered a pizza and salad with no olives. Was told the salad did not come with olives. The salad came with olives. I usually wouldn't care, but I was tailgated for about 5 miles by one of their delivery cars. Despite a couple break checks, no apologies by the driver once we pulled into the parking lot. Pizza isn't good enough for that type of service. Will head somewhere else during the rest of our visit (hopefully we won't be tailgated anymore by Slice of Paradise delivery vehicles).
