Great folks and food. Love the Philly steak and sausage onions and pepper hogies. Great little neighborhood spot, with good food and you can eat outside.

Awesome food at great prices! Philly cheese steak breakfast sandwich on a kaiser is the best thing to eat there.

Nice place to grab breakfast. Warning though; they don't serve pancakes or waffles!!! They do serve great scrambled eggs, great bacon, and have a good selection of sides (country potato, home style fries, or grits). It's not a full serve place, which was perfectly fine to us.

Breakfast was perfectly cooked eggs, toast, grits, service is friendly and atmosphere is fun and funky, clean and comfortable. I have had lunch there also and that too was great. Cute local place to,have a home style meal and appreciate what Port Salerno area has to offer. Great for visitors from other areas, so bring your friends and family here !

Simple and fast breakfast meal. The menu and food was exactly what you would expect from a small breakfast diner! I would recommend for anyone in the area that is looking for good predictable breakfast food (ie. Eggs, toasts etc)

We just relocated from Fort Lauderdale to Port Salerno. Having tried most the restaurants on this block (King Neptunes, Fins, Shrimpers), I had been yearning to check out this quaint diner. My husband and his Mom had just visited yesterday and raved about their food (they had the train wreck breakfast and an omelet). So I was sure to have them take me there for breakfast/brunch today! I ordered a regular breakfast of eggs, toast, hash browns but also ordered a side of their home made cheese sauce and biscuits & gravy...hey, I am pregnant & I wanted to sample a variety. The breakfast was cooked perfect, the hash browns were delicious and that home made cheese sauce...divine on everything (I think I could have used a straw a slurped it up). I also tried a bite of my husbands Philly (home made) cheese steak...the best I have tried! I was not surprised to learn the Owner who is cooking those delish sandwiches was born in Philly...that talent must be just in that man's blood. I must say even the Iced Tea was freshly brewed (those of you Iced Tea drinkers out there know the importance on fresh tea. Some restaurants serve "stale" tasting tea...not here!) On top of the great food, the atmosphere is a quaint, locals diner surrounded by a white picket fence. YOu order off the menu with a cashier & they wil bring your food to you. You have small 3 areas you can eat: The "breakfast bar" room where you can watch them cook your food, the "porch" room (which they are pumping AC into), or the outdoor seating in front of the diner. Just as important are the people. This family run place are welcoming when you walk through those doors. This is my new favorite place and I would suggest you stop in there soon too...& get that side order of cheese sauce for whatever you order!

Big Whistle Stop fan! For a fast, consistently good and fairly-priced snack, sandwich or dinner this spot fills the bill. Informal and friendly, the menu has a variety of subs, burgers, daily special plates, including roast turkey w/dressing every Thursday. My personal favorite is the Philly cheese steak. Every bit as good as Jeno's in South Philly only without the cold weather. Served "wid" or "widout." Looking for formal dining and snooty people? Go somewhere else.

Haven't been here in a long time. Food has always been great. Breakfast, lunch and all sandwiches. They have expanded since my last visit. Still have outside seating. And as always the kids love to see the trains go by.

Love this place! Friendly environment with great sandwiches. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. The hot pastrami sandwich and fries is a must. A bit hard to find if you don't know the area, but its a gem of a place if you do.

Stopped in while in a bike ride to refuel. Lived here for over 20 years and had never tried them. Weather was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying our lunch. They serve breakfast all day! Friendly, fast, and good.

Yum! Our favorite stop for a quick after-church snack. Love the Philly Cheesesteaks here, and their mac and cheese was quite delish as well. I haven't sampled much else (I order the Philly every time), but they do have quite a few subs and other offerings. Menu ranges from traditional American to southern style dishes. The building itself isn't much, located off the side of the road with a small parking lot. I've never eaten there, but it has an open kitchen style and some tables, but again, we always get ours to go as my Mom's house is just around the corner.

Went last week on recommendation of friends who work nearby. Easy to find, and easy parking. You order at the cash register; this is not fancy dining. Can eat inside or out. I had tried Philly's at several other places, and wondered what the big deal was. But our friends had raved about the Philly's there, so we tried it. OMG what a WONDERFUL thing this was! I had green peppers and mushrooms added to mine (no extra charge; you could get jalapenos as well. They are famous also for their own cheese sauce, and there was plenty on the sandwich. I loved it, sort of a smooth Velveeta type flavor. (Back to childhood!) My fries were hot, golden, crisp, and not greasy. Better than MickieD's! The food is wonderful, and it is a downhome family type place, and this is what we like. My only negative is the bathroom; so tiny, toilet low, door hit my knees. I am handicapped, and getting up and then out of there was very difficult. If it weren't for the bathroom issue, I would have given 5 stars. We plan to go back often; live 14 minutes away. That Philly was to die for!

Have had breakfast there twice, have not had lunch, or sandwiches. From the reviews I had read, I was expecting a really delicious breakfast, but found the food just so-so both times I was there. Last time I ordered a cheese omelet with biscuit and home fries. The omelet was somewhat tasteless and had an odd consistency. It was on the dry side and "spongy" is the only word I can think of to describe it. It wasn't like a fresh egg omelet at all, more like yellow styrofoam (some kind of frozen product? I don't know.) The home fries and biscuits were edible, but nothing special and the biscuits were dense and heavy, not the flaky homemade type I look for. The employees were friendly and polite, at least, which was a plus. Perhaps I will try a sandwich there sometime and have better luck with that, but I will not be back for breakfast.

The Philly w/ Fried Onions and Homemade Cheese Sauce is as good, if not better, than the authentic cheese steaks from Geno's & Pat's in Philly! They take your order at the counter when you walk in and cook it right in front of you and they bake their bread fresh daily - yum! You can chose from Hoagies, Wraps, Deli sandwiches or the Daily Specials which are comfort food heaven; Homemade Meatloaf w/Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Chicken w/Parsley Potatoes & Veggies, Open Face Hot Roast Beef w/ Mashed Potatoes, Turkey Dinner w/Stuffing - Are you Hungry Yet? The worst part about going here will be, what to order!

Food was decent. Nice people. Hot in there. Sit in the adjacent room with A/C. I had the BBQ Plate. Beans were Luke warm and prob from a can. All in all I'd return. Cheap too

The Philly Cheesesteak is the best in Florida, easily. Coming from someone who has lived in Philly and hates most cheesesteaks down here this one is a good one. Highly recommend it and the breakfast burritos.

Was really disappointed in the Philly which obviously the people raving about it have never had a real philly. I've only found one place in Florida that comes close to a real philly and the is at Gentiles in Sarasota. The place itself wasn't too clean and noticed they leave their kitchen back door open which is never ever a good sign.

They have a pretty great grilled cinnamon bun. I haven't really had the chance to have too much more there. My only issue with heading down to this joint is that you can see right into their kitchen. There shouldn't be a problem with that...but this place is pretty dirty. So although I enjoyed my cinnamon bun, I am not likely to return.
