The Twisted Tuna Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Not sure if there's a bad omen or curse on this location, but each restaurant here has failed impeccably, and quite humorously. I'll never understand why Rich: a) decides to employ not only so many people (who each just walk around to LOOK busy), but also YOUNG people who don't know their stuff; b) tries to use the same generic response to poor reviews on Yelp with little customization or genuineness. The first time I went to Tuna, we were sat on the water. Waited 10 minutes before we were frustrated and went to fetch one of those girls in uniform who don't really know what they're doing. After a snotty reply when we said we hadn't met our server ("well, did you seat yourselves?" "No!"), we left. No questions about why we were leaving, and no attempt to make our experience better. Second shot: showed up on a Thursday afternoon, waited 10 minutes to be asked our drink order, waited 10 minutes to get our drinks, waitress was just unhappy to be there as we were, and we left. We had to chase the waitress because she didn't bring us the check (for only 3 iced teas and a mojito, may I add) enough. Again, no questions on why we were upset. My advice for Twisted Tuna: treat today's customer as if he could be your last. You need to take the customers who are leaving your restaurant before they place food orders (and subsequently writing you bad reviews in Yelp - ahem) and transform them into loyal customers. Do that by showing unprecedented commitment to a good experience. Fire 10 young college servers/hosts because they don't know what they're doing. When a customer leaves early or writes a bad Yelp review, entice them with incentives to come back and give Tuna another try, ensuring (and delivering) a second better experience. Rich needs to pick up on the lessons of JetBlue. Also, cut down the menu. Sushi, fish, steak, meat, pizza -- you're trying to do too many things at once, and they will all be equally bad and disappointing. Otherwise, Tuna is and will only ever be a drinking hole, which, is great; but you will lose the location without the families and young couples market. Oh, and fire that photographer. Why the hell do you need a photographer? Are you paying her?

Great view! Food and service was the worst! Went there with my wife and son.... what a waste of time and $$$$ Fire the manager NOW! Good reviews must of came from friends and family because everything was horrible! I'm a local and don't think i'll be giving this place a 2nd chance! Maybe trust them with a beer!? Oh yeah that was even warm!!!! Good luck... I don't think a restaurant can run on luck? Time will tell...

I have been going here for over ten years when it was Fin's. I was looking forward to the meal but after waiting 20 minutes for drinks I knew it was going to be a long night. It did indeed get worse from there, a shrimp cocktail took over 30 minutes and then the worse happened. My nine year old son went to the bathroom and another patron called him a little s$&t. That is when I had to end my night and leave. Low class establishment with not a kids friendly atmosphere. Go across they way to Shrimpers. Too bad but a places like this deserve to go out of business.

So far very disappointed. Very slow service. Waited so long for drinks. We asked for limes and the beers were done before she brought the limes. Finally had to walk to the bar and get our own beer that they kept running out of. When they finally brought my meal it was one little piece of fish in a flour taco shell...no other ingredients on my fish tacos....nothing!!!!!! This doesn't even deserve one star! I would rather have a picnic at the Martin County Sewer Plant then eat here.

Went back 2nd time. This time sushi California rolls were terrible. Server was a cocky a hole. Place isn't constant. Too many friends had bad experiences that we won't be back. Too many places far better to waste my money here. Only reason had decent time was friends we were with, and sitting out on dock. Over rated.

Well this was a second attempt - first attempt had gorgonzola stuffed rosemary burger asked for well done came back medium .Second attempt ordered same thing asked for well done and came back pretty pink and way undercooked - sent back and when i got it back it wasn't the right burger no gorgonzola . The sweetener for sweet tea is a cheap syrup that is just gross. Sorry , we won't be back. This place won't last long - can't even get a burger right

Ok, so just left after my second visit to TT. I must say I am as disappointed as I was the first time. Took my daughter and grandchildren for lunch today.....the best meal was the kids food... Chicken fingers and pizza. Although fries came out cold, my granddaughter did like the chicken fingers and grandson liked the pizza. However, the house salad with grilled chicken was totally flavorless. My burger was lukewarm served with cold fries. The coleslaw tasted old and actually was turning brown. The first time I went, had sesame seared tuna.... It was tasteless ....the calamari was overcooked and too breaded. I was hoping that it was the "just opening" jitters . I will say that the bar did have a good pour and the service was ok.... Also the wine selection is one of the better ones in the pocket. I do feel bad for the owners and hope that they can get it together. Maybe a smaller menu would help. The location is too good to give up on. Find a few good menu items and make them awesome. Until then I will take my money elsewhere.

At first we were unsure the meals would be good here. When there are pizza, burgers, sushi, seafood, and pasta on the menu we wonder... Will the sushi will be good? However we were pleasantly surprised! Three in our party ordered sushi and it was excellent, two in our party ordered seafood, grouper and mahi mahi, and they said it was delicious too! The manager, Maria, came to our table and shared that there is a large group space on the second floor so this is perfect for functions. She also told us that the sushi chefs came from a Sushi restaurant that closed and are authentic, as well as the Italian food chefs. There are separate kitchens for the sushi, Italian and the main restaurant items. That is how they have such a large menu! Our server, Scott, was very helpful! There was a band playing outside by the waterfront bar and there is music seven days a week - DJ during the early evening and then later live music. The only thing that could be improved is the cocktails. We are martinis buffs but found these cocktails to be average only and small size for the price in his area. We expected at least a good value, if not a great tasting drink and were disappointed in both. We will go back and order beer or wine next time and definitely enjoy more of the fresh, generous portions of seafood and sushi!

Well the second visit didn't go any better than the first and from the looks of the majority of the reviews most customers have the same disappointed reaction -- Finz fizzled -- looks like Twisted Tuna will tank -- you just wonder how long it will take. Our server came up with every clichéd excuse for poor service -- plus the food was cold when it finally got to the table and the seafood salad didn't even have all the ingredients in it from the menu -- twice is enough for us -- good luck to TT -- but I'd bet it'll have the same fate as the last few trys !!

Love their lobster tacos!! Rum buckets are awesome! Enjoyed the sushi nothing to brag about but it's good.

Food was so-so. Grilled swordfish was pretty flavorless. Friend's Greek salad was yummy. Other friend's seafood alfredo was ok. Little flavor to the meals. Limited beer selection. Looks like decent wine selection (lots of choices) but I'm no wino. Meal wasn't worth the $22 I paid for it.

Read the reviews that were awful, so felt daring and adventurous, such a great looking place on the water could not be that bad. Our waitress , Kara was fantastic, and made our visit a huge success, she was very attentive and personally stuffed our olives with bleu cheese for our dirty martinis, what a girl. We had various apps and sushi , all were tasty and served on time. The outdoor singer was fantastic and versatile, the harbor view and the bar crowd, made it festive, but Kara was the best attraction, ask for her, she will make your visit a good one. We give this place 4 stars for our visit, and 5 stars to Kara, And PS she is Not a Relative or friend

Lively lunch crowd, music and a great view. What else could you ask for? Oh yeah... delicious food. We only waited about 15 minutes to be seated even though they were busy. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Rosemary burger, gator bites, nachos and grouper sandwiches. Everything was awesome and the service was good and fast. We will be back.

I loved the atmosphere and location!!! Food was good, enjoyed the meatballs and sushi rolls, ceviche had no flavor and overpriced for what you received basically a plate of tortilla chips. The service is horrible, bartenders have no clue, ignore you with not eye contact and they run around just clueless. At least look at me and acknowledged me, they need John Taffer to come in and reorganize the place. Little secret we learned is to run over to the Grove Bar and get a Wine or Beer and then you can come back and enjoy the band. Don't expect much out of the staff and you won't be disappointed, just walk in expecting to be annoyed.... Hope they get better or it will be another one down in this location....

My girl friend and I come by boat and its always a fun adventure. Everything I have had to eat so far has been very good! The wait staff has been friendly and cheerful. The feeling is like the Keys with good food! Im sure there are those out there who are hard to please and complain about everything, to those people just put on your little Polo horse shirt and drive to Del Ray or Boca cause yr no fun any way. To all fun loving people come on in and Im sure you will enjoy the food and casual relaxed atmosphere !!!! Gary W Palm City Fl

The worst greasy butter laden food. Ordered steamed seafood came soaked in butter spoke to understand grateful Manger who did not care and took half off the bill for that disgusting entree. No apologies from her. Do not waste your money! !!!!

My son was visiting from out of state and we wanted to have lunch by the water on a Sunday. It wasn't packed and we had a table inside with a view of the water. No real view since the plastic is so scratched you can't really see. Air conditioning was inadequate and it was very warm - although this was an overcast, cooler, day. Service was SLOW. I had grilled mahi which was obviously frozen and totally tasteless. Iced tea was tasteless. My son's coconut shrimp was also frozen and then fried. The only "fresh" thing I saw was how one of the waitresses was dressed. I ordered the "special" Bloody Mary. Absolutely nothing special about it except for the $11 price! Lunch was $70 and we would have done better at Chilis 2 for $20. I will not go back.

Waited 50 minutes for an order of buffalo chicken wings. Never came out. Bartender made many excuses. Don't think she really much cared. Never again. Just there to hustle tips. The place could use a new manager.

    (1)
  • Dawn P.

The tuna was fatty and flavorless. The lobster salad was orange and over salted. The windows were dirty. But the shrimp cocktail and the drinks were good. If I come back, I'm only ordering a Bloody Mary and I'll eat elsewhere.

Although this place had only 3 stars, my family was forced to try it when Gettin Crabby could not accommodate 7. The beer on tap was an issue, but the food was good. A little pricey for some items, but all in all not bad.

From the moment you give the valet your car, you are in for a great evening. Service was very good. The server seemed alittle rushed considering most of the dining room was empty at 7:30.She ,and her crew took very good care of this party of 6.Food was excellent.Tuna the best we've had since our return south. No views as it was dark out. Only negative was a guy trying to sell me drugs in the men's room.Guess I should shave and get a haircut.

GREAT atmosphere, average service (they tried hard), out of food on daily specials menu, no catch of the day available, out of anything that included crab, other food was marginal after finding anything else that might be okay on menu.

We tried this out on "official" opening day, the Friday before Memorial Day for lunch. Obviously the regular kinks of opening a new place were visible to all and to be expected. Our server was good and he tried really hard to make us happy. We do know him from another restaurant he works at too. The restaurant is in a great location with nice views of the Manatee Pocket. Unfortunately, the last 2 restaurants here did not make it and while I hope this ones does I just don't have a good feeling about it. The reason I say that is because of the menu. The menu is far too big and makes it impossible to make a decision. Also, I don't think that any restaurant can do that many things and do them perfectly. Fried baskets, pizza, pasta, sushi, raw bar, nachos, ceviche, salads, wraps, subs, tacos, seafood entrees, rice & risotto entrees, zuppa, lamb ribs, surf & turf, pork and the list goes on and on and on. What we had.......meatball appetizer which we both enjoyed. 4 meatballs in sauce with a dollop of ricotta cheese on top. Would order this again. I had the fried shrimp and chicken basket that comes with fries and onion rings. It was good and your typical fried food. A great choice for bigger kids. My daughter loved the chicken fingers. My husband had the seafood risotto which had shrimp, clams, scallops and fish. It was ok, not great. Risotto is one of those things that has to be done right and with everything else going on with the menu I just don't see how dishes like this can be done properly. Again, the menu is too busy. The hostess really needs a shot of life. No smile & no hello. Just "how many" in your party? We will wait a couple of weeks and then try it again. We certainly want a restaurant this close to home to make it. Time will tell.

I just got home from this place and I thought it was really awesome. We were actually intending to go to King Neptune, but decided to try this place instead. Man, am I glad we did. We started with the blue point oysters, which were awesome. For entrees we got the fish and chips and the conch ceviche. The food was freaking fantastic. Our server was a friendly guy, and the atmosphere was really pleasant. The live music was nice and at a good volume. My only recommendations would be for a bigger beer selection with more micro brews. I'll definitely be going back.

First off there's no 0 star rating. After watching a fist fight in the parking lot we waited an hour to get a table only to be seated to be in sparsely filled function room. After being seated for 20 minutes we finally got the attention of a waitress (she was the only good part about the night.) Several parties had already left in anger without being served. We finally gave our order and then 15 minutes later the waitress returned to inform us that our food wouldn't be ready for at least an hour and forty five minutes. Needless to say we followed suit and left. It was opening night but I'm pretty positive we won't return anytime soon. I can't speak about the food but menus with such a HUGE selections is always suspect. Good luck.

I had a good experience. The food and service was great, and I thought the improvements to the space were nice. I was surprised to see the bad reviews. Hopefully that means they've taken notice and improved.

I liked Twisted Tuna. We spent Thanksgiving in Florida and they had a special buffet Turkey dinner on Thanksgiving. Food was quite good - basic American food done fine, nothing spectacular but very good variety. The view from the upstairs dining room is amazing. Great place to chill and watch the boats on the water. The views/ambiance probably make the food taste better- from 3 star to 4. I prefer more ethnic restaurants or authentic BBQ, but for basic American fare TT is fine. Excellent service from a friendly staff, especially considering they were open and working on Thanksgiving. I would go out of my way to return again

We waited for the place to be open for a while before we tried it. Realizing that a place has a lot to things to work out when it first opens. We were rewarded with good service food and drinks. It was taco Tuesday so we had the blackened dolphin and tuna . Both were fresh and delicious . The key lime pie was great.

I have spent a couple of weeks in the Stuart area and tried a lot of places and this was my favorite. I found myself going back instead of trying new ones... I read some of the earlier reviews and whatever issues they had during their opening they seem to have worked out. On Sunday there was a big group of us at the bar and we tried all the appies.. The crawfish dip appetizer was my favorite followed by the pork wings although the Gator bites were the best gator I have ever eaten. The calamari was perfect and that is my usual litmus test for a restaurant. There were a lot of boats tied up so there was a good energy outside and we had a drink out there before heading in. It was a really fun day. Zac the bartender was attentive, funny and pretty talented with the pours... it was entertaining to watch him. On another night we had a dinner meeting there and I had the mahi francese and one of the other guys had the seafood risotto. We traded tastes and declared both excellent. I love Risotto but few places get it right. There was so much that I took it back to the hotel and had it for lunch the next day. The service was also very good and our wait wasn't bad at all. Yesterday I had the gorgonzola rosemary burger for lunch. I enjoy my burgers medium-rare and this one was spot on. The gorgonzola was inside the burger and it gave a nice flavor to each bite. The fries were unique, kind of a thick spiral but really good. Another person ordered the pizza which was also darn good. The crust was really good and when we asked about it we were told they make there own dough. Each visit I met new people and enjoyed talking to them. My only wish is that they had a better beer selection on draft at lunch although they made up for it with their wine selection for dinner. We are coming back in October and can't wait to visit here again.

  • Pen P.

The food was OK on my last visit, but this time it left a lot to be desired. Ordered the gorgonzola burger, medium. It came well done and dryish (which is why I don't order burgers well-done). There was some kind of cheese on top, but no gorgonzola to be found on, or inside. So, don't know which burger I had, but no Gorgonzola anywhere. Service was polite, but slow and waited way too long for the check. I am a local and would like this enterprise to succeed, but from reading reviews here and from my own experience the service and food are both INCONSISTENT! Inconsistent will not keep you in business in this market. There are too many other eating establishments competing for the public's restaurant dollar! Heck, I can literally throw a rock from TT and hit THREE other restaurants with IMHO better food, service, and value. This location has a lot going for it, on the water and all, BUT if they don't get their act together I don't see how they will survive. Both the wait staff and kitchen staff need better training. Both kitchen and front of house need supervisors to step up and ensure that EVERY guest gets good food and good service. It's a hospitality business! Good luck.

Great location and ambiance. Live music and a great bar on the water is what this place does well. Didn't try the food. It was easy to get cold bottled beer and the prices were like being back in college!

As a party of 6 we all enjoyed our meals. The soups came out piping hot and all meals were served together. Food was very good in a very friendly relaxed atmosphere. The Twisted Eggplant was excellent. We will all very satisfied and felt the prices for the food and service were very fair.

Second and last time here. Ordered a pocket salad with seared tuna and an ice tea on a quiet Friday afternoon and waited 40 minutes to get it. Over priced and so slow. I can't see how this place will make a go of it here with the poor service. The "kinks" should be worked out by now.

  • Danielle B.

The hostess and valet were great for starters. We asked to sit outside, but were told it was full. We got a table next to the door which was nice, but the whole place was pretty empty... Including the outside. Drinks were so strong we didn't even drink them, we told the waitress, she didn't offer to adjust or let us try something new, and she left them at the table throughout the duration of the meal (and after dropping our check, but that wasn't a big deal). We ordered the gator bites as an app, and they were great. I had the blackened mahi for dinner which lacked flavor, and the mahi itself was dry. Waitress didn't pre-bus our table at all (I'm assuming it was because there was a busser on -- a real team player she was!) When we left the table our awfully strong drinks were still full and sitting there, our appetizer plate was still there, and both dinner plates. I'd try the place again because my boyfriend likes it, but it wouldn't be my first choice.

  • Kelly B.

Was not a good experience. The service was horrible. It took way to long for anything to come to the table and when we reordered the servers kept forgetting our drinks. The food wasn't good. When the food finally came out it was cold as well. They deff need to get it together.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon ~ beautiful location, beautiful restaurant. Service was fair and friendly so decided to order a little appetizer at the bar. By far the worst calamari I have ever tried. The "crusting" was over cooked, tasteless and the marinara was the same, tasteless. The platter was piled high with calamari enough for a small army which was extremely unappealing seeing how I ordered an appetizer, a small plate is just that, no? If I had wanted a huge portion I would had ordered one. Tried one piece, than another- that was it, horrible, paid my check, left. If TT is still open within the year I'll assume they hired a new chef & perhaps a restaurant consultant and I'll give it another try. Till then I think it's going to be a long long summer for TT ON THE POCKET.

Came to this restaurant looking forward to a nice dinner on the water. We were seated after only a short wait on the water. A great table. Our waiter came over and introduced himself but seemed distracted. Received our cocktails in a timely fashion. My husband ordered oysters for an appetizer. There were numerous varieties so he chose the one he wanted. The waiter came back and explained they did not of those. Husband ordered another type of oyster. Soon the waiter came back and we went through the same thing. This happened a total of 3 times before my husband finally received his appetizer. We asked for bread 3 times and finally got it right before our dinners arrived. My meal was excellent but our waiter wrote down my husband's choice wrong. He ate it anyways and it was good but once again not what he wanted. The waiter apologized numerous times. Our check was given to us immediately but had to for a take home box. When we received it the waiter he said he would bring a bag for the box. He rushed by at least 3 times and said he would get the bag but never did. Atmosphere is nice but I felt more people were drinking than eating. Granted it was a Friday night but there were a lot of people just milling around having cocktails. So overall the food was good but numerous items on the menu were missing. The wait staff should be more attentive. I might try this restaurant again but during lunch hours.

The service is very slow. Our waiter took our drink order which was a cornarita then came back saying they were out of sparkling water so we said that just tap or bottled water is fine. He has never brought our cornarita and we had to order our food from the sushi chef. Sushi is really good but service is bad, and it's not busy today.

As an industry professional and promoter of successful businesses in my community, I am speaking directly to the management in this rant. Looks great from the outside, kudos. Upon entering the front desk was disorganized to say the least. We waited for a few minutes minutes for three girls looking at the floor plan on the monitor to acknowledge me and my family and this is after I spoke up. Being sat in an upstairs "function" room was surely not expected, there's plenty of room downstairs. (I'm familiar with the restaurant layout as I met my now wife there when it was Finz). Anyway, longer than normal to order, much longer waiting for food; my father in laws wing entree came out before the rest of the entrées and long before my 3 yr old sons pizza, which is surely not kids size AND was ordered with the apps. Ok, the apps. You cannot serve tuna fish salad as fish dip. I say this because Amy right minded Floridian knows the difference between fish dip am tuna salad. The entrees were so so, I wondered where the "stuffed" part of my burger was and I found it hidden under the cheese. Fries on every plate were cold, slaw was bland and I could go on about the others. Now look, you may by a small margin see a profit in the long run or you may close your doors like the few before you but a least put your best foot forward. 1) Manager at the door ALWAYS until your front door staff is on point. It's a bad first impression, right? 2) Do not open the whole restaurant on a Tuesday night. Do you really think you'll fill the WHOLE restaurant? On a Tuesday? No way. 3) All food that leaves the kitchen goes past by the expo, be it a manager or hourly, it's their job to be the last eyes before it hits the table. Do you know how pissed off people get when there fries are cold? Everything else could be on point but they'll tell their friends about the cold fries. You all have a lot of work to do before winning back my business. Good luck.

Loved it! Impressive improvement from the previous restaurants! The sushi was delicious and my friend had the mahi also delicious. It was wonderful to sit outside on the deck by the water and watch all the boats go by. Will definitely be back.

I've been to this restaurant. The sushi and shrimp cocktail were the best I've ever had. The atmosphere is beautiful and my server was so sweet. Yes.... The food took a while ( shrimp tacos) but come on... Give them a chance! The minute they opened they were packed !!! This place is gonna rock!!!!

Visited this new offering last Friday night -- I wanted to take out of town guests to a location on the water and having previously been at Finz I figured we'd give this a try. I'm glad I didn't read the majority of reviews already posted, I may not have gone. There were four adults in our party and we were seated immediately - upstairs - at our request. We wanted to be away from the live music offering. The server arrived promptly and took drink and appetizer orders. Everyone was very pleased with the calamari - taste and texture, no complaints. Two "fire burgers" were ordered as well as a Salerno Basket (shrimp, chicken, onion rings, and fries) and a tuna steak sandwich. Both reviews for the fire burger were, "wow, that was the best burger I ever had". I was pleased with the Salerno basket, especially how the chicken fingers were actually chicken and not a lot of breading. The tuna steak was served on what appeared to be a roll that had mold on it. We thought maybe it was grill marks from the tuna steak, but the smell was mold. Our server sent a manager to our table to talk about it who basically did nothing more than tell us that the bread was fresh every day. They replaced the roll, problem solved. Not worth getting upset about. Life's too short. Overall, we were very happy and will definitely be back. Customers that attended during an opening weekend - that happened to be a holiday weekend also - need to have a little patience and cut them some slack. Now that they've been open almost a month - I think they have most of the kinks worked out. This could be a great offering for our community - why drive business away with the low reviews??

So we went to twisted tuna last night. We decided to wait for a little while so they could work all their kinks out. We went for Taco Tuesday and got a couple margaritas and some fish tacos. I have to say it was delicious! Our server was very good and the food and drinks came out right on schedule. Nice atmosphere too. I'll be there more often I live right across the water!

My husband and I were on our way to another restaurant this past Monday, but it was closed. I suggested giving Twisted Tuna a try. We had been there recently for Happy Hour and the service, drinks and atomosphere were all very good. The restaurant was quiet but there were quite a few people outside at the bar. We opted to eat inside, near a window with a scenic view. Our first choice was oysters on the half shell. They were good size, very fresh and delicious. We then had the lightly fried grouper sandwich, with melted swiss cheese, a cilantro slaw, sweet remoulade sauce and twisted fries. The fish was absolutely fresh and delicious. I had them put the slaw on the side as I didn't know how I would like it on the sandwich. I then proceeded to put some on the sandwich and it was perfect! Everything was hot and very tasty. And for the french fry aficiondos out there (of which I admit to being one!) they are homemade and actually taste like potatoes! This place got some bad reviews when it first opened, but as our server, told us, the wait staff and chef were quickly replaced. Prices are reasonable, the view from the restaurant or outside is fabulous (right on the water), the food was great and the service was top notch. Needless to say, we cannot wait to return!

Great food and beautiful ambiance! The ahí tuna tacos and the house bloody marys are absolutely the best in the Treasure Coast! Love this place and definitely recommend it to everyone I know.

Well.... We gave it another shot and I ordered the prime rib sandwich. Only was prepared what looked like well done and store beef-au-jus-sauce and not made from scratch in house. I couldn't finish the 2nd half! The outside atmosphere was perfect and out server was fantastic!! Food on the other hand I would recommend eating somewhere else though. My sons shrimp were good and had fries with him that were prepped in house from the looks of them. Very good- Will only be back to have drinks at outside bar unfortunately-

I met some friends there today for a few drinks and snacks. The place was right on the water with a lovely breeze, the bartender was sweet and fun to chat with. Shortly after receiving my second drink it was nailed by a frisbee which put all but of a sip of it into my lap soaking my shirt, pants and everything under them. Come to find it was the "owner" that threw it, he came over to apologize but it was way to soon for me to even look at him. He then handed me two bar towels and t shirt and laughed it off, Then I was charged for my 3 beers and 6 oysters. I work in the industry and have never heard of anything so unprofessional in my life. The least I would have done(which would've kept this review positive) is offer the patron a free drink but more then likely I would have paid for their whole tab out of pocket to keep the restaurant from suffering from the incompetence of one person. In the end I'd never return and recommend others to go elsewhere as there are several respectable restaurants within walking distance. It's obviously run by a guy that cares more about his time in the gym then his interactions with his patrons.

Was in town visiting a friend and we decided to stop in here as recommended by her mom. It was a Friday afternoon around 3pm so it shouldn't have been too busy, but the front staff took a while seating us for some reason. Our waiter was thankfully more quick and pleasant. We started off with drinks, the one I ordered had real fruit juice, but I unfortunately I don't recall the name of it. It wasn't part of their regular menu since was separate from their standard bar offerings/pre-mixed selections. They also have rum buckets which my friend's mom had 2 of - so if you're into drinking fruity rum drinks, Twisted Tuna is what you're looking for. As for food, we shared fried conch which was really good. For the main course I'll preface this review and say normally I don't go for fish and chips (ever) but my friend insisted since it was mahi mahi fish and chips that it would likely be good - and she was right! It was hands down the best meal at our table. So, if it's on the menu when you go GET THIS. You won't be disappointed. The outdoor seating area is nice with a view of the water and we saw several people paddle boarding their way through. Definitely be mindful of where you choose to sit outside because the sun at one point it was blaring down even though we had an umbrella. In short: after a morning at the beach soaking up sun and being in the water, the Twisted Tuna delivered in satisfying the ideal post-beach hunger and thirst needs.

I love their personal pizza and fresh clams on the half shell. So nice to find thin and crispy pizza with great seasonings. They are out of clams sometimes though. The waiters and bartenders are friendly and attentive. There is often live music and clown on Wednesday evening for children. There is valet parking which is a huge plus. This is a great place to take visitors as it is on the water.

This place is big and exactly where you want to go on a Friday night if you live in the area. Live music, great large outside area with a couple dining tables on the patio and big bar right by the stage. Waited about 30 min for our table (not bad at all) and the hostess was really sweet when we requested inside instead of outside. Sat us immediately and our server came right over. We started with the cracked conch with calypso spicy mayo sauce - typical cracked conch. Good though because you don't find it on many menus. Ordered 6 dozen blue point oysters which were $21.99, that's roughly $3.50 an oyster - a bit steep for that. Still tasty though. For entrees I ordered the steamed and twisted - snow crab, mussels, shrimp, crawfish, clams with roasted potatoes and corn. I was really looking forward to this plate until it came to our table. It was as if someone had taken a full cup of drawn butter and poured it over everything. I was super bummed as I prefer to have the option to dip my seafood (which I never do because I like the way the food tastes on its own) rather than fish it out of butter. I mentioned casually and nicely to the server that maybe next time someone orders the plate relay that they pour butter all over everything and instead give the customer the option? He agreed and left - didn't bother to ask just how dissatisfied I was with my dish - in his defense I could've come straight out and said something but did not. My husband ordered the broiled red snapper thru the servers suggestion. He was also disappointed as the fish came out very dry. I offered him some of my butter but he declined. We noticed some sandwiches (possibly grouper and/or mahi) come out that looked delicious. Sushi looked good too. If/when we come back we'll definitely change it up. Otherwise, I would hands down suggest this place for a happy hour and night spot - food I am on the fence with. Staff super nice!

Atmosphere is shabby with weird plastic windows that were dirty. I ordered the mahi and it tasted awful! I sent it back immediately and asked for a burger, which was much better. The fish tasted frozen, not fresh at all. Not impressed.

I've been here a couple of times and have been happy with each visit. The first time we sat out by the water to listen to the band. We ate great food and had a couple of drinks. It's a small outdoor area though so if you want to sit outside, grab a table fast! Sitting inside for my last two visits was still nice because each time we had a view of the water. They have a nice selection of food, pretty much can please anyone by eating here. The service is great and the servers have always been upbeat and quick.

I gave twisted tuna four stars over five for the valet parking only, a bit of a nuisance. Other than that, it deserves five stars for the ambiance and food. This is a great place with great food and spectacular views. We sat at the bar (inside). the bartender made great recommendations, she was all smiles and friendly. we had an order of California rolls, (plentiful), the dragon special (shrimp roll topped with fresh tuna) and an order of lobster tacos (very very tasty). all that was plenty for two people and there is a Sunday sushi special. the views are second to nowhere, with DJ, dancing on the dock and corn hole toss.... yes, did not expect that. ... loved this new place, which will be our Sunday hang. P.S. the guy next to us had a burger, which looked great and a few people down the bar had some great looking bar pies....

We wanted to go here on Mother's Day and we had called ahead & was informed that we didn't have to make reservations by the manager. We get there on Mother's Day and we are told that we had to have reservations and would not let us eat there. So stupid....The employees were extremely rude!!! We left, and will never coming back there. They can twist their tuna and shove it up their you know what!!!!

Awesome place! Sat at the outside bar, great view of the water and all the yhats. Food was delish! We had the gator bites and the grouper tacos. Loved both! One of the best meals I had in Florida. The bartender was very personable also, gave us some recommendations to go into downtown Stuart and where to go. We followed his directions and it was worth it. Cute little downtown. Would definitely come back here!

The Captains Platter had cracked conch, conch critters, shrimp, and fish with fries for $21.99, not really as much food as you think, I think there was like 3 pieces of each. The food was ok, not a huge difference in flavors, not sure I'd they fry everything in the same grease. The hostess was very unfriendly, acted put out because we requested to sit outside, where there were takes available. And the first person to come to the table and our server were extremely unfriendly as well. It was actually an embarrassment since I brought my family from it of town for lunch. I may cone back for a beer just to enjoy the beauty of the marina, but definitely not for the service or the over-priced food. They will not last long if they don't get some customer service training for their staff asap as well as new bartender for the sloppy drinks we were served, actually sent the first back bc it looked horrible.

I read all the mostly negative reviews of this spot and I had been here back during tre past two ventures. With that being said I was invited to a birthday party being held here so I had zero expectations. We arrived and were with a party of 14. We wanted the amazing view so we hung out at the bar on the back deck. The bartenders were ok, not overly friendly and not rude. Drinks were ok, nothing to rave about. Prices for drinks were fair compared to other places with less of a view. We ordered steamed clams, conch fritters and Mahi Taco's. The food took longer than expected and when it came out the presentation was great but it was all blah. Nothing great and nothing horrible. I was actually ok with it because of all the bad reviews I had read. Long story short, the view is amazing, atmosphere good, staff was adequate but eat somewhere else. I wish TT nothing but the best as the location is amazing.

After watching Finz and The Reef close due to poor execution all the way around, I had high hopes for this place. I went with my husband and a good friend, we were seated and drinks came out quickly! Good pour too! We ordered the portobella mushroom appetizer and it was pretty good! Off to a good start. We should have left after that. We decided to order three different dishes and share everything. I ordered salmon sushi and a California roll, husband ordered fish tacos and A ordered the Margherita Pizza. Mine came out first, the salmon was OK but the California roll was terrible, not to get too picky but the rice wasn't even close to sushi rice rolled about an inch thick with some twigs of crab and avocado in the middle. The pizza came out second and was the worst looking Margherita pizza I've ever seen......now the taste, tasted like nothing. We had to add salt, red pepper, and hot sauce to get some flavor. The strange part is I've never seen watery dough on the top of a pizza before? After another 45 minutes we had to remind the server we never got the fish tacos. About 15 minutes later she brought out an inedible plate that had been sitting under the heating lamp for the last hour. I have to say the wait staff was incredible. They never lost their cool and where able to keep the drinks coming to the table! The manager was nice enough to come over and comp the tacos. She also asked for some constructive criticism: Pair down the menu, you don't have to try to appeal to everyone.

I never thought that a restaurant could actually make me feel sorry for it as a customer, not angry, not disappointed just that feeling of just feeling bad. I have now had that experience when a chef came over and asked how everything was. We couldn't even muster a polite response of "everything is OK" or "fine" or "good". We just shrugged and made the "ehhhhhhhh" sound with the upward palms. Let's go back to the beginning. Now we did happen on this place during their soft opening so we didn't have the biggest expectations. Also, the previous failed restaurants in this space left the bar pretty low. We were sat immediately at a table by the bar. The first table out of the pass. I only say that because most of the dishes that came out of the pass approached our table and we were asked if we ordered them. We did not. Understandable as this placed was overwhelmed by people checking out a new spot. We ordered our drinks two vodkas and lemon, and a mojito. The vodkas came and we were told that they didn't have mint. Three vodkas then. Great pour on drinks and a very pleasant server. We looked at the menu online before heading out and we were a little worried that it was very huge and didn't seem to have focus. We ordered dishes from three Continents. Margherita pizza, Salmon Sushi, California Roll, Mahi Tacos and the Crab Portobello app. The appetizer wasn't bad and had a nice Florida on the water feel. Nice flavors with the added pineapple on top. The flavor and seasoning stopped there. The pizza came wet on top with diced salad tomatoes thrown at it and mozzarella cheese that had no flavor. I personally have cooked pizza on stone, fry pan, barbecue, gas oven, electric oven and yes, a brick oven. I have never seen a wet pizza come out of one. If there is exposed dough on top usually it bubbles and sears. This was not the case for this pizza. I was excited to see real crab California rolls. That's a rare find around this area. The roll had again, no flavor and was served with sticky rice and not a flavorful Sushi rice. The only thing I could taste were the sesame seeds. Passed on those. The drinks were coming out furiously and quick. No problems there. After a long wait, our server asked if there was anything else we needed. I said the Mahi Tacos. She apologized and went to get them. They found them under the heat lamps for 45 minutes and took them to my table. I put the back of my hand on them, the rice, the beans and the cilantro, slaw and plate they were all the same equal temperature of HOT. When the tortilla turned to powder when I pinched it I knew I would not be eating these. Too bad because they didn't LOOK terrible. They took them away and offered to make more. I said no. I was already full from the wait and previous food sampling. The manager came to our table and asked us for constructive criticism. We obliged. The Tacos were offered again, I declined and they took them off the bill. We did come back a week later for the bar to survey any changes. First drink no problem we couldn't seem to order a second round standing at the bar. When we finally did get noticed we closed out the check. I can't imagine how it is to run a 10000sqft restaurant. I am just left with the word overwhelming.

Really, 1.5 stars, but I'm trying to be nice. Oh, where to start... I've been to this place three times, trying to give it a fair chance to wow me, but nope. Each time was worse than the one before. Visit 1: I came with two friends on their first soft opening night (Wednesday 21 May). The place was very crowded, so we weren't expecting perfection. We were seated quickly and had drinks in our hands pretty fast. Good pours on the vodka. We ordered a mushroom appetizer, some sushi, a margherita pizza, and a mahi taco. The appetizer was fine. The sushi was "meh" -- I've honestly had better taste and quality from Publix! The pizza was terrible. Really terrible. It was like eating wet cardboard. There was absolutely NO flavor. How can mozzarella and tomatoes have no flavor? I even tried putting salt on my pizza to help bring out any hint of flavor, and -- nope. I then resorted to pouring on some hot sauce because I was hungry and wanted to eat something. And those tacos? Never appeared. We asked our server about them some 45 minutes into the meal, and then they came out looking like they had been sitting around for a while. Plus, the entire plate and its contents was hot, like it had been sitting under the heat lamps for the whole 45 minutes. We sent those back. The manager stopped by our table to ask how things were. We were honest and she seemed defeated to hear this. I didn't get the feeling like she was interested in making things better, or even knows how to fix these problems. Bright side of the evening: our server Lauren was great (she's honestly the reason I'm giving this two stars instead of one). Visit 2: Grand opening Saturday night of Memorial Day Weekend. We had a large group (11). We met at the outside bar and got drinks. Well, we tried to get drinks. The bar was VERY slow on pouring mixed drinks, so we resorted to just grabbing beers from the temporary pop-up bar. We asked to be seated around 6:30pm and were accommodated quickly, upstairs on the top level. Our server got our drink orders taken promptly. Drinks delivered and dinner orders taken. We were advised that there would be about an hour wait for dinner to be delivered as they were busy. Ok, fine. But dinner took almost two hours to be delivered. I think the sushi dishes came out around 1.5 hours, then the kitchen/cooked items came out around 2 hours. However, two of our 11 dishes never even appeared! 2.5 hours into this adventure, they brought bread for everyone. Bread! Like that was going to make up for missing meals. And why wasn't the bread given when we were seated? Plus, the meals that were delivered were once again tasteless. French fries were clearly old, room temperature, and had no seasoning. Burger that was asked to be done medium came well done and dry; plus it also was unseasoned. Wings were blah. All the sushi that was ordered was ok, but again lacking in flavor. I don't think they're using true sushi rice (with vinegar). The half chicken was also dull on flavor. I really don't know what's going on in the kitchen -- everything is bland and unseasoned. Again the manager appeared and gave off a general feeling of being in over her head; I just don't see her knowing how to fix any of this. Visit 3: Memorial Day Monday. My friends and I (same crew as visit 1) stopped by for drinks only. After the poor food, we figured we'd just try drinks at the bar. We really do want this place to survive! We opened a tab and got round one of drinks. These weren't as good as the drinks from our dinner. We wandered around to check out the scene and people watch. When we returned to the bar, we got no service. We stood there for quite a while trying to make eye contact with the bartenders, but no luck. By the time we were finally helped, we decided to close out the tab and head home. Look -- I understand it's new and there are kinks to work out. But something serious needs to be done to fix the quality of the food. Be honest with yourself, TT -- maybe you're just meant to be a kick ass bar with very limited and focused food selections. Don't try to have a menu with 100 items; focus on the booze! You've got a great location, and as a local, I want you to succeed. Get it together! I honestly doubt I'll ever be back. Maybe I'll brave it again in six months and hope they've figured out the food issues. Or maybe it won't even be there in six months! The building may be cursed (hello, Finz and the Reef!). For now I'm staying away from the Tragic Tuna.

Great service if you go ask for Ryan R he is a awesome server! Food is good and so are the drinks! It's right on the water so if your looking for a good night out and some good music I would highly recommend going here. And if your looking to have a beautiful dinner with your family and love ones go upstairs.. great atmosphere! Also they have great pizza if your just in the mood for something to eat while you have a drink and listen to music.

The location gets five stars. The outside bartenders one star for bad attitudes. Sorry I sat down at the bar, and you didn't clean it yet. You called it Murphy's Law. Purple hair bartender. Food was a three. Overall I was bummed. This place could be the best place around. The first change I'd make would be with staff. Service is everything.

I've been to twisted tuna a couple times for lunch service but Monday night was my first night for dinner. I went with a girlfriend and we were greeted rudely by the hostess, "You need a table?" She sat us at a visibly dirty table outside. There were crumbs all over it and water rings. We thought she was going to come back to wipe it off but she never did. I can't remember her name but she had short blonde hair. Thankfully, our server turned it all around by being so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We had the fried avocado for an appetizer, it was on their special list. I had the grouper sandwich which was huge and my friend had a pizza which she enjoyed.

Parking at this place is a pain in the ass. We were lucky enough to find the ONLY available spot. Otherwise, you have to use their valet service. The food was so-so. I had the Mahi francese. The person I was with got the Salerno basket. His chicken and fries were ok, but the onions in the onion rings were slimy. Gross! And the battered shrimp was chewy. Our server was only 50% attentive. She walked away as I was trying to tell her "No lemon" in my tea and, sure enough, I got a lemon in my tea. It wasn't even busy, lots of empty tables. I won't be going back.

Ambience = Great, Food = Great, Service = Eh! Traveling for business - decided to look these guys up. Arrival: complementary valet service available. Hostess: welcomed me and offered me a seat immediately. Nice warm welcome. Food: delicious Service: Sucked - the waiter I had was not great at all. I had to ask for refills several times. I ordered an appetizer and dinner. They both came out at the same time. The waiter did not even offer me desert. The food was so good I was willing to try the desert, but was never offered any. Price: the amount of food and quality of food provided for the cost is good. Closing the tab: fast - but again - not offered desk rt.

We ate outdoors and though it had a relatively low review we gave it a shot. It was absolutely excellent. My drink was a bit pricey at $10 but then I don't get out much. I got fried grouper tacos, my wife got coconut shrimp and the best most different version of fries I've ever had. My daughter had 3 cheese ravioli. I'd have given it 4.5 stars for some small things (like the fried grouper taco could have used a sauce if some kind) but didn't want to drop it to 4. The location is superb on the water with a a live act playing beach music. It's what I like when I visit florida.

great seafood. My family & I enjoyed the pleasant service. Only thing I did not like was the mens bathroom due to the urine on the floor almost causing me to fall. Also while washing your hands you must get out of the way for incoming/outgoing traffic into the bathroom. Other than that, food was great!

Location is great. 5 stars. Our service was good and food was tasty. There was a lovely breeze and the crowd was lively. My only bad comment is the entertainment. I don't know who hired this band, but the female singer sounded like a cat with his tail being run over by a car. I am no singing expert by far, but seriously, this girl actually ruined my dining experience.

I was so excited to check out this place when I heard they opened. Boy was I wrong, that's two hours of my life that I'll never get back. Let's start at the beginning. You know the saying brains vs. beauty? Well the host is lucky she has her beauty. I walked in and told her of my reservation. She told me my table was ready. I went and gathered my group and when I walked in 2 minutes later she didn't recall just talking to me. Now my table was not ready. We finally sat. Mission accomplished. Nope. 16 minutes later and we still didn't have a server. No greeting, not even water. Finally a server came over after I had requested one and she acting like we were inconveniencing her. Came over and said "do you know what you want?" No hello, nothing. But wait, it gets better. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and the gator bites that people raved about came out burnt. Twice. A minute after our appetizers were finished, our (cold) entrees came out. The bartender Courtney was awesome. I will say that. She must have seen that our server was overwhelmed with her one table and came over to refill our drinks. Side note: the floor was filthy and the soap dispensers and paper towels in the bathroom were empty. Let's give a 2 thumbs up for the atmosphere and live band.... They were good. And another 2 thumbs up Courtney. Otherwise... No. Never again.

After we sat down (late afternoon) it took us 45 minutes to get our food after we ordered. Food wasn't even that impressive for all the trouble.
