Pretty Good for Gas Fired BBQ........2.5 Stars An additional .5 stars for the hot sauce it's pretty good. We tried the ribs, brisket and pork, knowing going in the meats are sliced on a mechanical slicer super thin deli style which is against everything I love about BBQ but I decided to give them a try anyway. The restaurant itself is very clean, and there is plenty of self seating to choose from and ample parking so this establishment has everything going for it in that respect. The server was great explaining the choices and giving her honest opinion of her preferences when asked. Opinion #1 Hand Craved meats are better because they stay moist and your able to get the full flavor so unless you have concerns about the quality of meat you receive from your meat purveyor, or the meat is consistently tough or portion control is your concern bbq should be hand sliced with a knife verses a deli meat slicer similar to what is used in a supermarket. Opinion #2 It is impossible to taste the hand rubbed seasoning on deli style sliced meats and it completely eliminates the bark if there is any. It also allows you to skip any trimming that may be needed so you sell all the fat that comes naturally. Sliced Brisket - not much flavor perfect for sandwiches or to drown in sauce if eaten with a fork, very tender just fold and eat, you get it all no trimming required sliced paper thin. Sliced Pork - not much flavor perfect for sandwiches or to drown in sauce if eaten with a fork very tender just fold and eat, you get it all no trimming required sliced paper thin. Spare Ribs - I prefer them naked and I will add the sauce of my choice if required (it was required) absent of any bark or dry rub more roasted than BBQ again it's gas fired and they don't advertise otherwise. Garlic Bread - loved it very similar to Sonny's or Dustin's. Green Beans - nothing outstanding they were pretty good I think they are frozen or canned but prepared in house to try and give them some uniqueness. I would order them again. Mac & Cheese - made in house not a bad choice firm, tender and cheesy. Corn on the Cobb - boiled or steam tender served in butter (throw these in the gas fired pit and you have a winner). Iced Tea - very good and refills to go if you choose. Free Ice Cream - great way to finish up. Nothing was overly disappointing since I knew what to expect, I'd say looking at the reviews most are happy when they leave I believe it's most likely better than most in the area and on par with the two chains I mentioned earlier. Question If a steak house sliced your steak paper thin prior to serving it up to you would you return?

Was looking for a really good BBQ place. I was really disappointed with the ribs. They were dry and tasteless. As others have said it more like a cheap cafeteria experience. For the price there was no value, I could (and do) make a lot better ribs at home. I am sorry that I cannot recommend this restaurant, especially regarding quality BBQ.

We always enjoy a great meal there. Sweet and Tangy St. Louis style ribs are AMAZING!!!!

Not bad. I'm used to KC BBQ, the BBQ capital of the world so my review might be a little picky. Their pulled pork didn't have a lot of flavor and their BBQ sauce was overcompensated with sugar. Customer service was fantastic though. I'm from the Midwest where BBQ is a way of like. Ha ha. Maybe I'm being too hard on them.

Amazing place! I love pulled pork a lot & it was stellar there! The waiters are all really nice too! They give you a big selection of different sauces! Will totally return!

I had high hopes of getting a great meal here. The reviews were positive and the parking lot was packed. However, the overall experience was pretty disappointing. Warning number 1 was the first impression. A packed parking had me smiling with my lunch choice, however, upon walking in, the first thing you see is a sad looking salad bar followed by a buffet style looking restaurant. On tap: Bud, Bud Light or an amber bock. Nothing craft or even creative to pair with the BBQ food. This was warning sign number 2. After picking my own seat, I started to pay more attention to the negative Yelp reviews. Third and final warning. I optimistically ordered half rack of baby back ribs with brisket. Mac & cheese and green beans for sides. While the ribs were cooked nicely, there was a distinct lack of a true smokey flavor. They fell right off the bone but they did not seem to be a high quality meat. Same for the brisket. It was sliced as thin as a piece of roast beef from the deli and barely room temperature. Disappointing. My comparison is Taino Smokehouse in my home state of CT. An amazing restaurant if you are ever in the state. The side mac & cheese was over cooked. The elbows were mushy. As were the green beans. Mushy and over seasoned. Far too salty. I would not recommend SP&CC and am very surprised it has such a high rating.

I was a little thrown with a restaurant that was seat yourself but I liked that we were able to sit wherever we wanted. Our waitress came over within a minute with our menu and was really friendly. The food was really good. Their mac and cheese isn't very flavorful but it was still pretty good. My husband liked his potato salad and it was the kind with eggs in it I think because it was yellowish. I had a small bite and it was very tasty. My pulled pork was very good and not fatty or too greasy. My baked potato was perfectly cooked. For $4.99 you can have unlimited soup and salad bar and they have free vanilla soft serve, serve yourself ice cream. All in all it was pretty good food for a decent price. Service was fast and friendly and the place was pretty clean. I'd eat there again if I was in the area craving BBQ.

It's good to come here once a year and there is a good reason why I say that. Their best meats are the catfish, chopped steak, and bbq ribs. They have four types of sauces; sweet, mild, spicy, and pulled pork. My personal favorite is sweet but that is a biased opinion because I have a sweet tooth. The salad bar doesn't have any plates for you to grab. Your server will give you clean ones and trust me, the plates are freezing cold! The bar has fresh mixed greens and vegetables, fruits, sweet beets, and sprouts. The Southern sweet tea is very sweet and served with ice and lemon. But they do offer regular tea, coffee and other alcoholic beverages. The soup is not pleasant since it made me feel I was eating a spoonful of salt but if you like saltiness, then soup will be delightful for you. The decoration throughout the restaurant is very southern-theme and well-oriented. The staff and service were friendly, patient and honest. We came here to celebrate my roommate's 69th birthday and towards the end of our meal, the entire serving staff came or in a single file line, clapping their hands as they walked up to our table. Our main server, Cherri, handed a birthday cake to my roommate and they all sang a really sweet and short birthday song.

We chose the pulled pork with salad bar option for lunch today. It was really better than most, if not all, the pulled pork we've experienced. The chicken gumbo soup was very good also, just a hint of "heat" to it. The salad bar was fresh as could be, and a great selection of items. They offer complimentary soft ice cream to all guests, also !! Anthony, our server, was very attentive and always nearby. It's a busy place, not a quiet relaxed atmosphere, but a great place to visit.

My boyfriend and I came here for an early dinner. We had been recommended this place by a local salesman a couple months back. We love BBQ and have been disappointed by the lack of good BBQ in the area. We were seated immediately. Our waitress was attentive, informative and prompt with everything. The food was delicious. We had fried okra for an app. They were crispy and well seasoned. We both had a side salad with our meal. The portion was huge and well worth the up charge. I had a beef brisket sandwich on garlic bread and beans. He had rib dinner with French fries. The meat was cooked to perfection and moist. All the sauces are fantastic, in which we really appreciated the hot/spicy BBQ sauce. This is definitely now one of our go to places.

I have gotten takeout from here a couple times now . The food is great,i had a pulled pork sandwich and it was well done. The fries were crisp and cooked in clean oil. The staff were pleasant and fast ,the food was ready in Less then ten min. All in all good eats. I would recommend this place for an affordable good fast lunch if you are in the area.

I stopped in for lunch driving through a few weeks ago and had an awesome lunch. Service was excellent, portions are generous and reasonable. They even have free soft serve ice cream!! Who does that these days? Definitely worth the trip.

After Sonny's changed their menu, which I discovered on a recent & very disappointing dinner there. I figured I would give this restaurant a try. It was delicious! I had the pulled pork with collard greens & fries. They were all excellent. Then we saw other diners walking back to their tables with ice cream cones. Our very nice & attentive waiter told us that the ice cream was complimentary. Which of course made my 6 year old Nephew very happy. This is definitely our new place for barbecue!

"Great BBQ, Highly Recommended" This is a must if your passing through Stuart. I had the grilled chicked sandwich and it was perfect. Served with a side and still warm and juicy. Finally a BBQ joint that doesn't serve dry grilled chicken. The salad bar was nothing special but very adaquate. All the food was fresh on it. Free soft serve ice cream, you can't complain about that! The servers were very friendly and attentive. Our drinks were always filled and the empty plates always removed. The price was very good. There are also TV's so you wont miss the football games on Sunday. I was here on Nov. 09, 2014

Foods excellent and quick. Service is good and friendly. Like my Grandy always said "If it's got a Cadillac, Police car, and a Work truck outside. It's good." He's right again!

This is the best place I've ever gone to for BBQ. I'm really really picky on BBQ. I tell you that I've been to a lot of BBQ restaurants. Everywhere I travel to I visit a BBQ restaurant and see how they are. I went to this place and I was completely in heaven. I ordered the St. Louis sweet ribs. They came out so perfect with the meat tender and the sauce caramelized on them. I've never been to a BBQ restaurant that was really so good. I've been a long time Sonny's fan, but this place is 10 times better. The staff is really nice and accommodating. If you are looking for some really good BBQ you head here. You'll be glad that you did. I live in Orlando and wish that they had one here. I would be there at least several times a week. I'm going to be making road trips to here a 2 1/2 hour drive just for t this BBQ. It is well worth the drive. You can't go wrong stopping in here. You'll be ever do happy that you did. I know I was. We were in town for 3 days for Thanksgiving and we had two of our dinners there we loved it so much. I think if they would have been open on Thanksgiving I may have gone there instead. Wonderful BBQ restaurant. Just love them!

Great food, great staff, great for kids! Husband ordered prime rib and raved about it - honestly it was the first time he'd ordered prime rib (his favorite) and didn't find something to complain about. I had pulled pork platter - which I always order at BBQ places, as it's telling to the quality. I was not disappointed. Bonus that we were there on a Thursday and kids ate free! Try the cinnamon butter that they serve with the sweet potato on their homemade cornbread and leave a bit of room to treat yourself to the peach cobbler - you will be glad you did!

Best BBQ out of the 4 choices on US 1 in south Stuart. Service was good, so was the sweet tea. Had the BBQ chicken dinner, yummy and hot. Husband had pulled pork and was ok. Restaurant was cleaner than the other BBQ places we've been to. We will be back as our new go to spot for BBQ in Stuart.

If you like Golden Corral, this is your place.

The ribs are smoked, tender, and delicious. We also order ribs with loaded potato and corn on the cob. We enjoy coming here. Also free self- soft serve vanilla ice cream to all paying customers. Great place for ribs and my husband also enjoys the brisket.

Much better this time around! Ordered the chicken breast dinner with salad bar and everything was delicious! Service was great and ready for ice cream! Will be back.
(4)Anita G.
Yum! Everything I had was delicious. I've had a hard time Finding good bbq in s fl. This was amazing. Had the ribs with the best sweet potato I've had in years. Busy at lunch, not such a well kept secret. ... fortunately. Hopefully that means they'll be here a while :-)

Good ribs, steaks, sides, everything was tasty. Clean place, more along the lines of a Sonny's or Dustins, but probably a notch better. The one thing, that made no sense, was varying costs for the salad bar, which my husband took exception to- if you buy a $14 steak, you pay $2 for a salad bar, but when you buy $16 ribs, you pay $5 for a salad bar. A kids salad bar is also high at $5 which my 5 year old could never eat more than 1 plates worth. I hope their manager reads this and changes it, because a salad bar, added to a meal is not really affordable when it bumps the price up so high. The meal prices were fine, the peach cobbler dessert was awesome for $2.29. Would go again, but not if the salad bar was varying in price and we have to deal with weighing the salad bar value. My husband was ready to walk out...

Went here for a birthday lunch with my office... No call ahead, they were easy to accommodate our party of 7. I did not try the salad bar but a co worker of mine did, apparently a decent selection on there. Food was good, sauces were good. Our waitress was a bit on the slow side and quite weird but it was busy for lunch?

Loves the Pulled Pork Sandwich. They have something for everyone in the family.
(4)Aimee E.
Will no doubt do it again. The salad bar and pulled pork sandwich I had were great. Wasn't a big fan of the beans. Service was great and prices reasonable. My husband enjoyed his ribs.
(4)Monika W.
Excellent food. Big portions on the sides.
(5)Joe G.
Best BBQ in the treasure coast. I have tried them all and these guys win. I even change from dales to southern pig and cattle co to cater my wedding. They did an awesome job. I always get the beef brisket and they have never failed to deliver
(5)Raul A.
Service was very nice, prices were right on, the food was ok.
(3)Derek J.
Staff is friendly, unfortunately that is the only good part of my experience. The food is all sub par. Sauces all taste like hot sauce, vinegar and sugar. All meat is smoked with black jack, which is a oak saw dust puck. The food leaves a musky taste in your mouth well after you leave. Pulled pork tastes like charcoal. A real shame, I always like a good BBQ restaraunt. This is not one.
(1)Bob E.
Food is ALWAYS fresh! The meat is always tender, tasty and delicious. The pulled pork is terrific and you can't beat the garlic toast or Mac and cheese. My friends drive 35 miles to lunch here.
(4)Mark F.
EXCELLENT BBQ! My wife and I have been back 3 times in the last month. The pulled pork and sliced pork were hot and fresh. Excellent salad bar. Great peach cobbler along with the BEST vanilla ice cream. Great service.
(5)Marlene G.
We were not planning on eating here Friday night but decided to check it out on our way to a restaurant in Downtown Stuart... Needless to say we didn't go to the restaurant in downtown Stuart... Glad we ate here because food was quite delish and the service was AWESOME the price was reasonable... We will definitely go there again ... It was the first time I had White Zinfandel and it tasted really good I would recommend this place any day

Read great reviews for this place, but BEYOND disappointed after going. Everything looks like it came out of a can and heated up like the food that is served at retirement homes. Salad bar was nothing special, super boring. They make it seem like there's a great ice cream bar, and it actually just one small self-serve ice cream machine like the ones you see at the movie theaters. The food is NOT worth the prices they put on their menu. #dontgo

I eat here every day. They know me by name. Food is the best ever especially dry rub wings.Highly recommend.

Just had dinner here tonight, and it was DELICIOUS! First thing that was great was the endless soup and salad bar. $4.99 is a fair price, and the chicken and dumpling soup was good enough for me to go back and get a second bowl. The salad and soup bars were clean and well stocked. I ordered the full rack of baby back ribs, with corn bread, fries, and mac-n-cheese. My grandfather had the smoked pork, which came out with a beautiful smoke ring. My baby back ribs were juicy, tender, and fell off the bone! The meat was so tasty, as was the BBQ sauce it was dripping with (bought two bottles to take back to Long Island). Again, great smoke ring. In fact, my hands still have a smokey smell to them! The corn bread was warm and tasty. The fries were perfectly golden brown, and creamy inside. The mac-n-cheese was OK. Good cook on the pasta, but it was clear the cheese sauce was out of a can, which was a bit of a letdown. Finish off the meal with the make-your-own-ice-cream-cone station, and you're full and beyond satisfied. Fix the mac-n-cheese "problem", and its a flawless meal. Friendly on the wallet, and very friendly staff. Will absolutely be back!

Love this place. Best brisket in the area.
(5)Jonathan T.
My wife and I love this place. It's excellent barbecue, but it's also great for the little touches. When my wife orders turnip greens they bring her peppered vinegar to add onto it. The sources are superb. The meat is tender. Just superb.

Great PRI!e rib every time, brisket is always good too.services has been great every time

All I wanted was a good hamburger but I was sceptical when our waiter delivered the burgers in a basket with mayonnaise and mustard packets. To my surprise, the hamburgers had a really good flavor and were so filling I could only eat half of mine. I also had the onion rings and these were the BEST onion rings I have had in years, they get 5 big stars! The batter is perfect, you bite into them and they don't crumble or fall apart and there's onion in every bite. I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed my meal very much.
