Absolutely fantastic find!!! Forgot all about the wait after I took a bite. During your wait the waitresses are more than willing to serve you drinks outside. Many people were picking up take out orders. Chips and Fresh Salsa when you sit down. Fresh, fun food. Fabulous Mahi Mahi. I will dream about it when I am away. Support this local gem!

Finally went to King Neptune after reading reviews about several seafood joints in the Stuart area. I was thoroughly impressed. We ordered several appetizers including oysters, seared tuna, conch and coconut shrimp. Everything was delicious! Great staff too. Owner was on premises and quite friendly, as was the server. Will definitely be returning next time friends visit and I want to show 'em a great local spot.

Small family owned place but good food. Have been there couple of times, and I enjoyed the food. Good portion sizes. My personal fav's are coconut shrimp and blackened mahi mahi.

Great place for seafood and salads. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are the nights they have some specials. Clams Tuesday, AYCE peel and eat shrimp and AYCE fish and chips on Wednesday and Thursday. The place is small and not good for very large groups.

The steamed clams on Tuesday are a real hit and so inexpensive. We do take out at least twice a month.

This is my wife Becki and I's favorite little seafood place! They make the best you-peel'm shrimp, they are always good sized and fresh every day. I highly recommend getting a side of their Tabasco onion rings as a great crunchy complement to the above soft steamed shrimp. Now here is an insiders secret - ask for their wonderful pink spicy conch sauce to dip your crispy onion rings in! WOW! All you need now is one of their cold beers and you are in for a very special treat! Enjoy!

Great little spot with funky décor, fresh, fresh, fresh fish. Seared tuna, fried calamari, steamed clams, oyster shooters all excellent.

Gave it five stars because there was nothing higher. Great food, service and fun! Having been meaning to stop here for 2 seasons and man am I glad I finally made it. It's very small but don't let the line put you off, it is worth the wait. One of the finest meals I've had in the Stuart Port Salerno area. Great selection of beer, wine and hot sauce.

Yes the food is good, especially the all you can eat shrimp. Big not over cooked. They did change the rules and you can not get the all you can eat shrimp after 6:30. And no notice of it. There is a but! The after 6:30 apparently means that you are seated at 6:25 and your waitress ignores you for 12 minutes because she is talking, talking, talking and talking to other customers. Then she comes to your table finally and sorry folks you missed the the deadline of 6:30. So no shrimp. We ordered other items that we liked a lot, but very sad about the shrimp. Never could get her attention for a glass of water because she was still talking. And she never came back to ask, only to leave the check.

Food and service was just OK in my opinion. We got the fried Cracked Conch and Dolphin. The Conch was pretty good. The fish was mediocre. My guess is that all their food is right off the Sysco truck. I don't think we'll be going back.

Fish is good, conch chowder needs a lot of help!! Service good ~ wine list has gone down hill from a few years ago but still best food in the general vicinity ~

Had the PERFECT lunch at the King yesterday. Neptune's signature salad with blackened shrimp, hearts of palm, artichoke hearts, black olives and field greens. Shrimp were done to perfection, not too much cheese, and fresh, tender artichoke/palm hearts. Portion size was perfect and topped with a light, fresh balsamic/soy vinaigrette. Utter perfection. Oh and the Tabasco onion rings I snitched from my husband's plate were amazing too. You won't go wrong here.

Excellent Seafood Bisque. Well portioned entres and always fresh. The best 'mom and pop' seafood eatery around - everyone should give it a try. It is packed every night - so get there early if you want a table right away.

We had dinner last season (2011) at King Neptune and were very pleased. On our trip to FL, we planned on having dinner there again this past Saturday. My husband called and spoke with the owner/manager in the early afternoon explaining that we would be a party of 4, 3 of us would be there at 5:45 and my sister in law would be joining us shortly thereafter. Everything was ok until we arrived. There was a party of 4 ahead of us, an empty 6 table and a 4 which was just finishing. We asked if we could have the 6 and were told no, they were waiting and holding it in case a 5 party came in. Five minutes later the manager seated the 4 at the 6, started walking us on to the 4 and then saw there only 3 and refused to seat us. We would have gladly paid for my sister in law's app and drink, instead she threw the menus down and refused to seat us ..No signage saying full parties must be present before seating and she had known we were coming in before my sister in law..her attitude was so poor and she successfully ruined our plans. So, unless you are willing to be abused, or are willing to put up with rules made up as she goes along, I would skip King Neptune.

This seafood place is small but very good. Shrimp are large and very tasty--both fried or as shrimp scampi over linguini. Hubby also enjoyed coconut shrimp and fried fish fingers. Would like to see more "specials" pricing.

This is a really terrific mostly seafood place. Reliably great food, with nightly specials, such as all you can eat shrimp for $9.99. Great friendly service.

This place is so awesome, and the food is so good! King Neptune's has a friendly wait staff with great service. I love their conch sandwich and jerked mahi sandwich. The sauce the cracked conch comes with is so tasty I always want to put it on everything. They also make a good bisque worth trying. If you have a sweet tooth their key lime pie is yummy! Always fresh ingredients! It's a small place that may not seem like much from the outside, but I can assure you it's well worth the wait. It's good, casual, and reasonably priced, and one of my favorite spots in the area!! I'll definitely be back for more.

The Mahi, Shrimp(3), Scallop(2) and fries platter was very tasty, although the size of the Mahi, and the minimal number of Shrimp and Scallops would leave a hungry patron wanting. Nicely done Slaw, (small cup) was a nice addition. String Fries were nicely fried, but nothing special. Unknown Chardonnay at $7.50/glass was gouging. $2.50 drafts were fine. Conch chowder was a disappointment, and receives little thought from the chef. The Seafood Bisque is delightful. Bottom line is that for the tip included cost of just under $70, the portion of seafood was modest, the price of the wine was annoying, and the Conch chowder was way down on the list of local examples. Tasty, to be sure, a good value, not so sure.

Best seared tuna EVER!! The cajun pasta with shrimp and scallops was also delicious. Hidden gem in Port Salerno.

Woohoo!! What a nice place! It's cozy, the personal is very friendly and the food is outstanding! Every Tuesday they have steam clams, so we started with that, then we order peal shrimp, their cocktail sauce is DELICIOUS! We ordered " frog legs" " blackened mahi mahi on top of salad" and the "fish platter" Everything was tasty, fresh and perfectly cook! Beers are half off!

this restaurant is awesome. As soon as you walk through the door, you know you've hit a jackpot. I love how laid back and local this joint is. Great Conch ceviche for the starter was perfectly seasoned and fresh. The blackened mahi was kick ass. It came with rice and beans topped with [oh yes] bacon. Also came with tropical salsa. Check it out! I started out with a nice conch salad. For my main, a kickass blackened mahimahi. It came with coconut black bean rice with dare I say it, BACON!!!!! there was also a refreshing fruit salsa and a nice spiced mayo on top. The coconut shrimp and fried oysters were also awesomely fresh. I went back a second time and got only conch. I had the awesome conch salad once again, plus great conch fritters to go with them. For my main, I had a half pund of fried cracked conch, fries, and slaw. It was awesome! Great friendly service too. They even cook up fresh fish you caught that day with 2 sides for only 9.99. Check it out...

Another great little spot in the "manatee pocket" of Salerno. Small hole in the wall sea food restaurant. The seafood bisque is really good. Second to only the Crab Bisque from Gettin Crabby across the street. This place has a very nice feeling to it inside because its small. Highly recommend it.

Stopped here On our way from West Palm to Hutchinson Island. Small, family-owned restaurant with great fresh fish that is beautifully prepared and served. You could really taste the pistachios in the pistachio crusted Mahi. Macadamia nut crusted hog snapper was plentiful and delicious!!! The vegetables (snow peas) were crisp and fresh. Garlic mashed potatoes were creamy and the Tabasco onion rings were crisp, thin and light. No grease! The fried clams were light and tender. Best we've had ousted of Rockport, Ma. Go and enjoy!!!!

I love chill local spots like this, great people and great food. They have a really good grouper Ruben, I really enjoyed my blackened tile fish sandwich. Good french fries. Can't go wrong stopping in here

Thank you Scott the hairdresser for suggesting this place to us. We've eaten elsewhere in Stuart, like Spoto's and Getting Crabby, that we both love, but this was a nice diversion. Tiny place, so we were lucky to get a table with only a modest wait. Give it a whirl!

A must visit for fresh catch and a solid menu with great chef's specials each day. A Stuart favorite to treat myself

We live Neptune!! Been coming here for years. Oyster shooters and cracked conch. Can't. Beat them anywhere. Come either early or late during season it gets crowded fast. You can even bring your own catch and they will cook it how you like it. We do that often in summertime.

The 2 of us ordered conch fritters (okay as apps because the taste was monotonous and a dinner of them would be too much), fish and chips, and buffalo grouper sandwich. The grouper sandwich was an unremarkable piece of fried fish with hot sauce ladled on top-no special sauce, just hot sauce. The French fries/chips were very good; however, the partnered fish was so soft that it lent a greasy feel and taste. So, back it went and was replaced with a Caesar salad w/blackened shrimp. Meh on the salad and the blackened shrimp had an awful bitter flavor from the grill. To sum it up, it wasn't worth the $38 and definitely not worth a repeat visit.

Get the bisque. Get the bisque. Get the bisque. Did I mention the bisque? Fresh fish cooked well. The tiny kitchen cranks out marvelous food. If you are nearby you should go. Enjoy - Live Love Eat!

The cracked conch is to die for and so far everything else I've had here has been wonderful. Looking forward to tonight's steamed clams and maybe lobster roll.

Great hole in the wall! My only complaint - there's no sweet tea. Is this restaurant in south Florida, or the northeast? Have come here twice and it's always a great experience. Come a little earlier than the dinner rush, otherwise you'll be forced to wait for a table to clear up. The restaurant has only 40 or so seats, but the churn is usually 15-20 minutes. My go-to app is the escargot, but I found out on my second visit that it's only kept on the menu when the snowbirds visit. Damn. If it's here while you're here, go for it; dip the bread into the juice, and you'll write home about it. Otherwise, all the seafood is your generic stuff, except King's ensures that it is fresh (ie. peel/eat shrimp, clams, etc.). Specials: Tuesday is $0.39/clam. Take. Advantage. (!!!) Otherwise, they also offer specials that aren't too new, more just interchangeable throughout the week. Go for the pistachio-crusted maui if you love regular maui (or even if you don't); the crust really adds a heightened flavor ten-fold that still melts in your mouth. I compared it to the regular maui, but they must put something special with those pistachios... Overall, pleasant dinner, better for pairs/duos, trios, or small (smalllll, as in 5 or less) groups. There's no liquor, but pinot would have gone great with all of my entrees.

Awesome seafood stop in Stuart. Definitely cheaper than some others, but just as good. We had the fish dip, fried shrimp, fried oysters, fried fish fingers - all amazing! This stop is tiny inside which makes it feel intimate, but they don't take reservations, so make sure you get here early because it fills up FAST!

Probably one of the dirtiest restaurants I've ever encountered. The $24.99 hogfish was small, flavorless, overlooked, and had what tasted like canned crab I'm top. Yuck! Never again...

This place is amazing! We are from southern California and asked our friend for recommendation. He had never had anything bad there. We went there for a birthday celebration and also to unwind after a very very busy weekend of work! All we can say is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! We had Steamed Clams, Coconut Shrimp, Crab Cake, Blackened Mahi Mahi and Shrimp Scampi Linguini. And for dessert we had the Brownie Sundae. We WILL definitely be back next year!!!!

I had to pay an unreasonable amount of money for very little food. The food it self was decent but for the price your paying it's disastrous and the wait was two hours!!!!
