It is a nice pace to have Mexican food with a twist. It is not authentic, but it was pretty good. The Service was great! I wasn't crazy about the Margaritas though. I recommend it.

Ok folks, I am usually a post win positive only kind of Yelper. Today however I am compelled to inform everyone how disappointed I was in the new Cabo Flats that opened the always challenged location of the old Bru's Room. Here are are my opinions: Mexican Food Quality...,way below average, what I like to call Chef Boyardee in a can. We had chili rellenos (spicy but blah), mole chicken enchiladas (dry and too sweet mole) and a $10 cheese quesadilla that I would have ordered off a kids menu anywhere else for $4. We paid $3 for a sprite for our daughter, which our server was happy to continue to refill at an additional $3 per trip. To their credit, the manager stopped by and fixed the sprite issue and asked our opinion on the food for improvements. He gave us a $25 gift certificate and asked to come back with a promise that things will get better as they work out the kinks. Also to their credit, really good atmosphere for casual cocktails and sports viewing

First time here. The guacamole and queso were great. Had the shredded beef enchiladas but they were bland. No kick, flavor, or spice. The refried beans were good and the rice was ok. I think Mexican restaurants serve too much rice anyways. Unless they want to end up like prior restaurants before them, they need to make some non-chain decisions. Our server at first didn't want to be there but she came around and ended up being a good server. Oh yeah, good frozen margaritas. Also a pricey menu for what you get for flavor.

I have tried this three times. Opening day which isn't fair. a second and now a third and fourth. Terrible service followed with at best mediocre food that is way over priced for what you get.

The service was good, but the manager was very arrogant. Our food came out wrong and he acted like it was our fault. Do not recommend the fried ice cream it is coated in a very thick cake coating.

We went to check them out on the second night after opening. We're told it would be a 20 minute wait when there were empty tables. It was close to 9:00 at night, well after dinner hour. A small mason jar full of ice with some sangria and not really good sangria is 13.95. Food was okay, nothing to write home about. Atmosphere is nice. Waitress did her job, trying to up sell on drinks, dessert, etc. overall not impressed. Won't be back anytime soon. Lots of good Mexican food around with much better prices.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
