Not great menu choices. Food is bland. Omelettes were cooked to well done making it very dry and tough. Toast was barely toasted and no butter on it. Home fries improved after a ton of salt and pepper. Went back for one more chance. Tried stuffed pepper. Omg.....pepper was so tough you had to use steak knife to cut through it. Beef mixture totally crumbled, rice was hard. Two tries...no more. Will not return.

Fast and friendly service and great value for breakfast and lunch. My Dad is a regular...and I am now also.

When we moved into town 6 mos. ago we stopped in here for dinner. I ordered corned beef and cabbage. It was the worst I have ever tried to eat. Several days later we decided to try it for breakfast. As soon as the waitress served me I could smell something awful. It was the ham on my plate. I could not even get near it to eat it. The restaurant looked clean and the staff was pleasant but I won't be going back there ever. The ham was rancid.

Due solely to the number of cars in the parking lot, we decided to give this place a try. We're full time residents of Vero Beach. By this time of year, most of the "snowbirds" have gone home - so it's usually safe for the "full-timers" to show themselves. The menu had a large variety of selections; I chose French Toast, my girlfriend chose blueberry pancakes. Both of us selected crispy bacon. After a long wait, in excess of 15 minutes, our orders finally arrived. My FT was so cold the butter would not melt. My girlfriend's pancakes were likewise. This could have been due to our waitress's lack of attention to orders being ready for serving. The bacon on both orders was tasteless, greasy, and on several of my girlfriend's slices, very undercooked. After 5 minutes of trying to locate her, our server finally caught my signal. I asked if there had been ant complaints re: the bacon. She said she would replace both orders, but I couldn't imagine another order of the same garbage so we declined. We also asked her to warm up both orders, which she did. However my first bite into the French Toast indicated the bread was stale. After being "warmed up" the butter on the pancakes was still unmelted. In addition, the blueberry pancakes were tasteless. I'm not sure how many of the cars in the parking lot were driven by repeat customers; but for sure, ours will not be one of them. Neither of us has had such a horrible breakfast in memory. We would not recommend this place to anyone who has even a modicum taste in good food. After reading some of the reviews on this app, I can only deduce that the reviews were written by employees or family of the establishment. i can't believe there are this many people who cannot discern the difference between good food and slop. Apparently, if my guess is wrong, there are!

I should really rate this a bit higher. It's not quite a 4 star, I guess because the food is good, but not that distinctive. Service is good, and the specials are reasonably priced. Soups are home made and there are usually at least 2 different ones each day. We have eaten here at least 3 times in the last 3 months, and have not been disappointed, just not overwhelmed. As one other reviewer recommended the stuffed pepper soup, count me in on that. It was very tasty. It's a solid restaurant, good service, good value. Good for a decent meal any time of the day.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. Breakfast is awesome here and they have the best bacon cheese burgers! Friendly staff

We usually dine for breakfast at the Pelican Diner, just down the road, but decided to try something different. I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes. My husband ordered scrambled eggs, sausage, home fries and toast. The bacon and sausage were way over cooked. The sausage so much so that the skin was falling off. I wish now I had taken a picture. Pancakes were fine and my scrambled eggs were ok, but my husband's eggs were not cooked. No attention to detail and it was more expensive than other local restaurants. We'll be heading back to Pelican for sure.

The breakfast portions are generous and are served rather quickly. Both times my husband and I have eaten here, we were both pleased with the quality of the food. The pancake and the French toast helpings we have been served thus far have been filling. I wasn't crazy about the taste of the bacon today, but the ham steak I had last week was excellent. My grits and eggs were served hot and the way I asked. One disappointment today: my husband's lunch order, which was advertised on the specials board as being served with a side of coleslaw, was served with the coleslaw in a tiny plastic condiment cup instead of a small bowl. Overall, for the value and portion sizes, I would recommend giving this place a try for breakfast.

Typical diner food. Daily specials. Waitress was efficient, almost too efficient, asking us what we wanted to eat as soon as we sat down before we ordered drinks. Steak and eggs were a little chewy. Quality what you'd expect for the cheap food! All the waitresses also were wearing the Hooter's type nylon stockings which I found mildly entertaining. Only tried breakfast and it was good. Nothing to write home about but a good cheap weekend breakfast place.

This place is like eating at a hopsital cafeteria....except I think hospital food might be better?

We have only eaten here for breakfast on Sundays, always treated as if we were eating at a relatives house, food good, service good, pricing fare. Got to go early before church crowed

Basic diner with good service and very fair prices. Breakfasts were large and the omelets quite good. The only disappointment was that the home fries were boiled and then browned off. They were very bland but not greasy, salt & pepper fixed 'em up.
