I love Wings and Weenies and have never been disappointed in anything I have ordered. Their wings and weenies are EXCELLENT as well the fries and onion rings, and they make a very respectable Philly cheese steak and a mean meatball sub too! Prices are very affordable for the portions served and if you order a serving of fries, be ready to share as it is a very large order! Breakfast is the BEST around and in my traveling of the area has yet to be beat for quality of food, serving size, and price! Another one of my Must stops when I visit the Sarasota area!

I don't get it. I went there last night, and I wasn't impressed at all with the Chicago hot dog. I mean, it wasn't even close! Their regular fries were just ok, although they do give you a huge quantity. Granted, I did get there 20 minutes before they closed, but out of respect for their desire to go home I ordered takeout. I did not order any wings, but I warn you not to get excited if you see Chicago hotdogs on their menu. Advice to the owner: if you want to see how a real Chicago hot dog looks and tastes, take a day trip up to Tampa and go to Mel's.

Two beers, Reuben, Slaw Dog and the Shrimp Basket We found this place on our way home from the beach. Labor Day around 3pm. The shrimp basket was the most impressive shrimp basket I've seen for a fast food diner. Decent size shrimp, deveined with some great seasoned fries. BF didn't get wings, but LOVED the Slaw Dog, said the Reuben was great too. Wish I could've tried their breakfast. Pros: Great service, clean bathrooms, clean booths, TVs, bar/diner counter, outdoor patio tables with umbrellas, outdoor smoking. 24/7 delivery- the phone was ringing off the hook. Cons: $1.25 for Ranch- it was good tho, took it home with me. Sandwiches don't come with sides (at least the reuben didn't).

I have only eaten in their restaurant once but I have gotten delivery on more than one occasion. The restaurant is a lil' dinky but the staff was quick to fill our order and serve our food (they made sure we were well taken care of). A few times when calling to place an order I was placed on hold for more than five minutes. I am sure they were busy at the time but when ordering delivery you want to make it as quick as possible. A few times when doing large orders with a group we would have one or two missing items. Staff was always pleasant and apologetic about this and would send someone out to bring the item. I would recommend.

Wow!!! Service is really lacking, the glasses are not filled when ordering a draft, wings were not well sauced, and not cenot coming back unless I know my regular waitresses are working. Malibu and 'the blonde' I am awful at names...hope she forgives me! The wings have a great flavor, but the manager/owner needs to be sure he regulars are happy or the business will die...really wish I could have bought this place when it was for sale. Loose the meth head, babble mouths and start having some real customer service!

Since moving to Sarasota a year ago, we have frequented Wings and Weenies, primarily for the wings. The rest of the menu items are nothing special. This evening, we ordered wings and prefer the flats but were distracted when ordering and forgot to specify. Our order came and it was mostly drums. Since it was our error, we figured we would eat in silence...until we tasted them. They were either old or overcooked or both. They tasted awful almost fishy. When asked by the waitress if we wanted drink refills, we told her we would pass on the drink refills but were dissatisfied with the drums. She informed us it was the difference between light and dark meat and walked away. We did not eat them. While paying we mentioned again that something was "off" about the taste. The cashier (who was also the waitress) ran our credit card and more or less ignored us. To which we indicated we likely would not be back. She simply smirked. We will not be back.

Love is a understatement. I've been eating here for 20+ years. The breakfast is #1. You just can't beat it. Lunch and Dinner are good as long as you like fryer type food. Wings n Fries. The servers are long time employees. The new owners (just over a year) are great. It's only going to get better. Check it out. You won't be disappointed

I'm not a negative person what so ever. Nor do I post reviews. But this particular instance really left me so agitated I feel the need to leave one. I called for a pickup order- not a very friendly hello or phone service all together but what ever. I order 10 wings and ask if they can mix BBQ and medium together- she says yes. I said ok I'll take that and a side salad with Caesar. When she repeated my order back to me and forgot my Caesar I then asked if their ranch is homemade and she says yes so I said ok I'll also take a side salad with ranch (please). Pick up my order- had a weird feeling so teared open the stapled paper back and just 10 medium (no bbq) wings and no salad. Nicely said "I don't know if I payed or not but I also ordered a side salad w ranch" "oh ok, that's fine what side dressing?" Moral of the story- I'm a waitress and that was the simplest to go order ever and she clearly does not listen. Annoying. Figure it out

Breakfast! Excellent. Very reasonably priced. With the name Wings and Weanies I would never have guessed that they make such great tasting breakfast foods. Your basics, like eggs made the way you like them and home fried potatoes. Oatmeal too. Bacon any way you like it. Pleasant servers. Many "regulars" frequent this place. My husband and I go on holidays, when other Sarasota breakfast places have crowds out the door, we have always gotten a seat quickly and were served quickly and so more folks can come and go without the lineups. Try it. After reading other reviews, looks like I'll have to try the wings, for a takeout dinner!

My experience was not good! Here is why.. The service was sub-par.. Not terrible but sub-par. The food, meh, ok. What I am truly writing this review for is to bring to light what I feel is the dying of the service industry. Having been in that line of work for many years, I am flabbergasted at what took place when paying our bill.... My husband and I brought his parents, that are from out of town and love wings to this place, along with our young daughter. And I don't think my husband has ever felt so embarrassed in front of them as he was tonight. Upon paying our $88 tab on a card (and leaving over a 20% tip) Our waitress for what ever misunderstanding, came to hunt my husband down to return a two dollar cash tip. My husband, not understanding, tried explaining that he had paid on a card and didn't need any change. The waitress went on to putting the change on the counter in front of him and saying "Really you take the $2.00, I do not need a tip" Again I do not know exactly what the misunderstanding was BUT THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE!! As a representative of that restaurant you should never put ANYBODY on the spot in that manner. The waitress did apologize and I will commend her on that, but even the apology I don't think was handled very well. I do not think we will be returning, and if they are that bluntly rude I will not be recommending them anymore either.

I stopped in while travelling in Florida on the recommendation of a friend. Upon walking in I wasn't sure - this kind of old-school diner did not look like the home of great buffalo wings, but I was very pleasantly surprised! The wings were great, service was top notch, and the price was extremely reasonable. Just wish we had these out West!

Great service. Boneless wings were perfect. And they give you a lot. Could get better seasoned fries. And good jalapeño bites.

I've had wings all over the United States. Seems there's two schools of thought on wings. Fried or baked. This one is of the fried variety. The wings were good. Not great, but good. They were larger than the ones at BW3's. A bit on the greasy side. We got hot and medium. The hot wasn't too salty and actually had some heat to it. The burgers looked good. The 1/2 pounder was huge. Our friends said they liked the burgers. Kids really liked the hot dogs. They ate the whole thing. I'd say the wings were almost as good as Duff's Wings in Buffalo at about half the price. This place is a mom and pop greasy spoon type of place. Nothing fancy. Service was nothing special. I really had low expectations, but the wings were a better value than BW3's and more authentic. Good place for take out. Large portions of food for the money. Burgers were huge. Wings were larger than most places. They have a limited selection of beer on tap to cool off the burn. I give it 3.5 stars for mimicking Duff's.

Best wings I have ever had in my life. Ever. I'm serious. Get takeout; the atmosphere stinks, but the wings are to die for.

Good atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. Tara was awesome. Their "medium" sauce for buffalo wings def. has a kick to it. I'd def. go back.

Was expecting so much more! Got the Chicago Dog. NOT on poppyseed bun and no hots but jalapeno instead, lastly not the special relish but regular relish. All for $4.50. Too much! I wished I had gone to the Sam's Club down the street and ordered a 1/4lb chilli dog with a drink for $2.80.

The last post said that this place was "nothing special". He obviously did not eat the Chicago Dog. It is as close to the real thing that I have ever had outside of Chicago. This place is AWESOME!! Also had the best wings in Sarasota that I have had so far. The only downfall was that they didnt serve their Chicago dogs on a poppy seed bun. Other than that, this place ROCKS!!!
