Hands down, the best pizza I've ever had in Florida. That might not be saying much. So, I'll go one step more and say this is a top 10 pizza in the U.S. That's pretty distinguished air to put it up among those select few in New York, Chicago, Austin, and L.A., but it's deserved. Interestingly enough, I may have unwittingly changed it a bit. When I got back with my take out box, the pizza was cold. So, two pieces were heated up at 450° for less than three minutes. The crust was crispier than at first, and that was key to how delicious this pizza tasted. However, I can't say that it might not have been originally that crispy before it sat in the box on the 20 minute drive back. Nevertheless, whatever happened, it worked. This was easily among the best crusts I've ever had. So delicate and perfectly balanced between crunchy and chewy was this that I can't say that I'd prefer any pizza crust I've ever had over this one. Truly wonderful! The sauce could be a tad sweeter, but I do mean only a tad. To increase the sweetness much more would definitely upset the nexus at which this super thin Sicilian arrived. Very nicely done Salorzano Brothers. Que magnifique! Also, the order was ready right on time when I got there for pick-up. Moreover, the time it took to walk in, announce my name, ask for pepper, parm, and extra salad dressing, pay, and walk out with the properly packaged order probably took about three minutes. Now, I will say that I was mildly irritated that they charged me an extra dollar when I asked for another ramekin of salad dressing with my Greek salad, but that's almost nitpicking. After already charging $39 for a large pie, two salads, and a cannoli, adding on another buck for three tablespoons of salad dressing is certainly a case of nickel and diming. However, based on the meal, as a whole, including said salads and cannoli, this place would stand firm at 4.5 stars for me, and therefore, would've been rounded up to five. So, the snatch of one more dollar from my wallet cost Solorzano's just a hair enough to take it down a notch, especially on a night when they were all out of garlic knots and we were compensated with a couple pieces of toasted bread sans both garlic and butter (after being promised garlic bread). The pizza's five star all the way, and the salads were quite good in their own right, but the stinginess regarding the dressing and the garlic toast cost them enough to fall below that half star mark. When you're talking about five stars, there's no room for error, and service is always part of the equation. All in all, an amazing pizza, great salads, and pretty good service. No reason to go anywhere else in Sarasota for a pizza dinner.

Four of us in party. I say three stars, two others say four stars, and one five stars. So gave the average of four. White pizza excellent. Classic pizza just okay. Deep dish cheese pizza not so great. Service was very friendly. We dined in.

This place is fantastic. Great pies, great grinders and a true Jersey atmosphere.

So... rarely have I had the opportunity to rate a pizza joint 5 stars... found this 1 on yelp with no help from locals... they have a 10% coupon when you check in on Yelp.. they honored it with no hassle (many p laces give you a hard time about yelp coupons but not here... pie was ready in 15 minutes as stated on the phone. I travel the country for wprk and I always try one of the local pizza joints.. I rank this place in the top 5 of pizzas that I have eaten.. quality is superb and perfect thickness and crispness. Pick up a slice and it is faintly limp which is perfect. Ingredients are local and fresh and nothing frozen here. If your in the area this is a must try pie

My favorite slice in town and I come back again and again. Tried the eggplant parm pizza for the first time and wasn't surprised that everything they touch turns to gold. Crisp breading over tender eggplant makes this New Jersey styled slice a new favorite. Solorzano's perfectly crisp pizza with a crust that's solidly between medium and thin always comes with tasty and fresh toppings. My personal favorite is the Italian sausage. Flavorful sausage though the don't overwhelm the slice. Friendly staff as usual, and they always remember frequent visitors. Order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. I frequently dig into the number one special! Two slices of my choice, and a drink for 7 bucks. Can't beat this place for pizza.

Great pizza. We are regulars here. Another Friday night with SOLORZANO pizza and a good movie.

Outstanding pizza. One of the best in Sarasota. The sauce is great on all the pies, but my personal favorite is the supreme.

    (5)
  • Alicia D.

Easily one of my top 5 pizza places. The Sicilian pizza was amazing! The place is a cozy, Italian pizza style restaurant just like you'd expect. You can order pizza by the slice or as a whole if you'd like! The sauces and seasoning is great! The pizza slice was literally as big as my head!

  • J D.

This is a rounded up 4.6 to 5 star review. The pizza was good and tastes fresh...it was everything you'd hope for in a NY/NJ style pizza and the staff was great and accommodating as well. If I could change one thing, and that's all that would need to change to make this a non-rounded 5...more sauce!!! Sauce makes the pizza...just ask the VPN/DOC pizza crowd! Please fellas...add more sauce - you have a treasure here!

  • Melissa A.

Truly amazing pizza. I've never felt so compelled to write a review for just a pizza place. But this is outstanding. Everyone I recommend to go here is always very happy with the suggestion! Plain cheese is my favorite as all of the ingredients really shine but the the supreme is heavenly.

  • Alex P.

Wow, the pizza here is incredibly good! I've ordered from here twice, trying their Margherita and Pepperoni pizza. Both times the pizza was outstanding. The dough tasted fresh and it was cooked perfectly. Usually pizza is something you settle for when you're unable to cook, but the pizza from here is a real treat. I'm so glad I found this little pizza place as it is now my go-to place for an epic slice of deliciousness.

I'm friends with The Pizza Monster, and she insists on going to a pizza place everywhere we go. Plus, the owner commented on her instagram telling her she should check this place out. It was lunchtime and they had some specials going on. I got the 1 slice of pizza, side salad, and a soda for $7. I got the special of the day slice... something with cherry tomatoes and jalapenos and it was delicious! All their pizzas looked delicious as a matter of fact. And just in case you're wondering, The Pizza Monster approved (and she eats A LOT of pizza). You can check her out @thepizzamonster1 on Instagram! Oh yah, and the garlic knots are to die for!

Just as others have said it is a true New York style pizza joint. Along with the fact that everyone you will encounter seems to be from that state, the decor feels like you are actually in the big apple. The pizza is a thin to medium crust light on the sauce and smothered in quality toppings. Each bite delivers a little hangranade full of flavor. Your taste buds will encounter things like basil, spiced meat balls and even the cheeese has big flavor. Located in a neighborhood this pizza joint isn't crazy crowded. When in Florida i will be eating here.

Big selection- any choice combo on pies.

  • Kerry S.

Yummy bacon and sausage pizza with white sauce...loved the oregano option on the table! Only negative was we were charged for bottled water & then walked into the dining room where free water was available.

  • Anthony A.

Being from NJ, I was very much looking forward to this place. From the minute we walked in the door and approached the counter you are confronted by zombie employees who don't give a shit about customer service. Dining in is a horrible experience, but the pizza is rock solid authentic Jersey pizza. Ill never eat in again but I will definitely order take out over the phone, bring it home and enjoy the pizza in the comfort of my humble abode without the mannaggia from that staff of snapperheads.

  • Chad B.

Amazing! Almost as good as the NY style eatery back home. Ordered knots and a meatball pie, and it was perfection. Will be back, for sure!

    (5)
  • Erin E.

Best pizza in town!! Tables if you would like to sit down, or a bar where you can wait for your takeout. The meatballs are homemade and the sauce has great flavor. Perfect dough to toppings ratio. The supreme is our go to pizza, but I'm sure the others are great as well.

Best Pizza that I have ever had . Their supreme pizza was awesome ! Two of us had the large and two cokes for $20 . That's a great deal !

Ordered carryout 16" pie with meatball, garlic, & roasted red pepper. Crust was cooked perfectly, crisp on bottom. Ingredients were plentiful and high quality.

I have 2 words. Siesta Fiesta...it's a serious guilty pleasure. Never a single problem with this pizza place. I love that it's brick oven fired and you can watch them bake while you wait. The slices are big and delicious and in our house, there are never any leftovers!

Our granddaughter turned us on to this pizza place that she said we absolutely had to try. It was out of this world, if you want something special try this place! Great pizza and garlic knots! Yummy!

I stumbled upon this place and was pleasantly surprised to be eating the best pizza ever!!! YUM

  • John F.

Real good authentic New York style pie. A good pizza place can always be judged by the standard pepperoni pie. I was not disappointed, the crust was thin and crisp, but it could have used just a tad more sauce. Staff is friendly and helpful. I forgot to claim my check in discount so the manager comped me a cannoli instead, kuddos. The cannoli was AWSOME.

  • Crystal G.

Pizza is the the sure thing. When I'm having a bad day, a busy day or a party I know I want pizza.... But not just any pizza. I want Solorzano Bros Pizza!! They simply have the best people there and the best Pizza in town!!

  • Chuck B.

Hands down the best pizza in town & we live just down the street! Thanks Carlos for the great food.

    (5)
  • Matthew B.

We came in after seeing some posts of the food on Instagram. The food looked amazing. When we showed up we were impressed with the family owned feel. You order at the counter and they even have a small beer and wine selection. Then you seat yourself at the table with your number. We ordered a house salad, garlic bread, and the Sinatra with meatballs and spicy capicola. The timing of the delivery of our food was great. The salad was fresh with a nice light house vinegarette. The garlic bread was perfection, cheesy goodness cooked to perfection with a marinara sauce. The pizza was just was we wanted as well- crisp, flavorful and unique. We will be back!

  • William C.

Yes, it is very good ! No doubt about it. BUT it used to be outstanding. I used to live nearby and would order from this place regularly. I no longer live close by but have ordered a pizza from them twice in the last few months to take to a friend's house. I USED to tell friends that this was the best pizza in town. I have a feeling that since they have expanded with more locations, the close scrutiny of the quality & consistency has fallen off a bit. The dough seems a little thinner. The toppings seem a little sparser and the general quality seems a little lower. It is still a really good pizza place. I just wish it was still outstanding. Hopefully the owners will see this and tweak the quality. A little more dough, a little more cheese, a little more toppings. It's that little difference between very good and GREAT ! This review is meant to be helpful not mean. I hope it's received that way.

  • Omar C.

The pizza here is great, one of the best if not the best in town imo. Really great flavors and herbs, quality ingredients, friendly staff, the did stop delivering which is a down side, but they have added a dinning room now, and carry-out is easy. They have good lunch specials and on Tuesdays they have 2 large cheese pizza deal for like $20.

    (5)
  • Jess S.

By far the best pizza place in town. Staff is always smiling and happy to see you and their specials are perfect. This is real pizza, every other pizza place in town might as well come out of a frozen box because solorzanos sets the standard.

Great pizza! Crispy crust! The garlic bread is also fabulous with chunks of fresh garlic. My kids love the garlic knots too. Enjoy!

Yummy Pizza, but everything looks good. These people know what they are doing. Tastes like authentic New Jersey pizza. You can even get just a slice of pizza. Service is very good, and they even deliver.

Awesome pizza pie! You must try! My husband and kids enjoyed reminded us of authentic Italian pizza parlor loved the fresh Cannoli too.

  • Denise S.

Everything about our experience was annoying. The restaurant doesn't have typical wait staff, so it forces you to pay in full at the counter, then sit on extremely uncomfortable wooden bench seating to wait 40 minutes for mediocre, stiff-as-cardboard pizza to arrive. By then you need to buy a second can of soda, so you have to go through the purchasing line again. Employees seem to be much more interested in providing timely service for phone orders than for the few tables of people that were trapped waiting for their dinner. When they finally brought out a pizza to one of the last seated customers before the rest of us, I thought there was going to be a mutiny. Needless to say we will not be returning.

This place is very simple but makes great pizzas with fresh vegetables and other ingredients! I highly recommend their garlic rolls even though I am not a big bread person! One of my favorites in Sarasota for sure!

I first discovered Solorzano Bros. Pizza when I bought my house only 2 minutes away last year. I have since become a regular customer, eating there weekly. I am fairly picky about who cooks my food and how the food has been stored and prepared. This place is very clean and has vintage, pizzeria style decor which provides a neat, relaxing environment. The food is always fresh. The sauce isn't very heavy. The garlic knots have generous amounts of garlic. And the cannolis are sweet enough, but not sickeningly sweet. Another one of my favorites is their Chicken Parmesan Garlic Knot slider. So delicious. I always strongly recommend them to people I encounter and when my family visits from out of state. Such a pleasurable experience! I look forward to trying out Solorzano Bros Italian Restaurant and seeing if they can match the most authentic Italian cuisine I've had up until now (a little place in Philly).

Stopped in today after heading to Sarasota for business. Decided to try this place out. For me, I would say its just ok. The pizza was pretty good. I had the pepperoni and salad combo. Serving size is definitely good for the 7 bucks you pay. Basically you order at the counter, pick your slice from the window in front of you. Almost like Subway. Then they reheat your slice in the oven. Not really my thing but ok. Salad was pretty good but its a salad. Garlic knot also comes with the combo. That was ok. The restaurant itself is a typical pizza joint. Nothing to really look at. Service seemed fine. The guy behind the counter brought everything out quickly. One mistake, they forgot the tomatos on my coworkers salad. I dont mind though because they put his on my plate giving me double. Ill take it. Overall hust average for me.

We tried the Weber Street location and ordered a large sausage pizza for pickup; and for desert, two cannoli. I was enjoying my slice when my wife interrupted me with the comment there was chocolate in her slice. I thought and said, yea right. Never a good response. So she dipped a finger in her slice and then into my mouth: chocolate. We checked the pie and tossed three slices. I called to let the proprietor know and he explained they had been experimenting with a desert pizza with chocolate but there was no way I should have had the stuff in my order. They offered to replace the entire pie but the restaurant is about 20 minutes away so I passed on the offer. But the remainder of the pizza was quite good. The crust was baked all the way through and had a very nice chewy texture. The sausage and red sauce was also pleasant on the palate. I will give them another try in the near future. The cannoli was fabulous. Nicely stuffed with a light but rich ricotta with chocolate chips. A nice raspberry dipping sauce was included in a separate container. My wife is still commenting--chocolate, I knew it was chocolate--as I write this.

I can't speak to the actual restaurant but I can tell you that somehow, when the delivery arrived, it still tasted like it was fresh out of the oven. Delicious. Never have I had such quality pizza from delivery before! It was a thinner crust than I normally would have preferred but I didn't mind at all. I had the kind with fresh tomato sauce, basil and mozzarella. Pretty standard but I added pepperoni and it was just so good. There must have been a pound of mozzarella on there and I'm not talking about the regular shredded mozz, I'm talking about the kind sliced straight from the ball of mozzarella. Gotta love good pizza.

  • Lindy K.

Delicious yummy pizza! Thin crust with crusty edge and lots of toppings. Had the Siesta Fiesta pizza, wonderful! Antipasto salad was really good too. I just wish they made their own homemade dressing, but pkg'd dressing was fine. Great service. Casual dining area for kids too. Will return when in Florida for sure!

I love this place!!! Every time I come here I think it gets better. This time just a couple slices and some garlic knots that is definitely satisfying. Can't wait to come back again... and again... and again. Ha love it!

We just got into town from NJ last night and I wanted a quick bite to eat. As we all know Pizza outside of NY / NJ can be tricky. This place did not disappoint. All the reviews on here about it being great pizza are correct. Ordered some slices and they were on point. Good to know there is good pizza available down here.

    (5)
  • Erica L.

Excellent pizza. The best I have had in Sarasota proper and we have only had takeout. The garlic knots are pretty good too! You can check in here for a discount too, which is much appreciated.

Great pizza. Can't miss. Be sure to get the garlic knots. If we come back to Sarasota, we will surely come back.

  • Gail L.

Stopped in for lunch to grab a slice and a hero. Meatball parm hero with home made meatballs was best ever. Ended up with two slices so we could taste the slice of the day which was chicken and ricotta. Off the chain good food. Nice staff as well!

I hate to be "that guy," who complains about service. If the food is good enough, I'll put up with anything, but.... This was one of the most unfriendly places I've ever been. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, but there was a high-level employee making time with a much-too-young girl in the dining area, and the folks at the counter acted like they were doing us a favor by taking our order. (We were the only people in the dining room at 5:30-6pm on a weekday, so they weren't rushed.). We were sufficiently uncomfortable that we hurriedly ate a slice apiece and took the rest home. Brutal. The pizza was solid, but nothing I couldn't get back home in Columbus, Oh. The garlic knots are decent, but unless you have a huge appetite or a lot of mouths to feed, only get six. We had the Sinatra (underwhelming, unlike its namesake) and the Supreme (quite good). No beer/wine here, and the soft drinks are limited in both scope and content (a few cans and bottles). I won't be back, considering the wide range of great food in the area.

everything was perfection! i honestly have nothing bad the say... great knots, great pie, great dinner with the fam!

  • Billy B.

this is the best pizza in florida!! i am from nyc and have lived here in sarasota for 12 years about 30 mins from this place and did not discover it until last year. the drive to solorzano is a dream of how good the pizza and the staff will be when i arrive. the sauce is outstanding, and the variety of pizzas is great !!! you will never eat any pizza better than this unless you were in nyc and had a choice of 10,000 spots but in sarasota, they rule!!! crisp spicy and flavorful with a staff that cares about you.

    (5)
  • Jerry m.

Yep. This is really good pizza. The best pizza I've had in this town so far. The toppings are generous, almost overly so. The supreme pizza comes with huge chunks of sausage. I've had nearly every pizza they offer and haven't had a bad one yet. The garlic knots are also pretty good. You can't beat their lunch specials. The one i always get is two enormous slices of pizza and a coke for six bucks. What a deal!

    (5)
  • Brian H.

Siesta Fiesta is the best pizza! This is my second time getting this pizza. Always hot and fresh.

I ordered the Hoboken Heart Attack and the Classic Margarita Pizza's and they were delicious!!!

Great Pizza Margherita! Homemade Cannoli with fresh strawberry sauce was also yummy. The meatball parm is a standout with homemade bread.

    (5)
  • S M.

Amazing food! Had the caprese salad which came with a garlic knot (brilliant), and the white spinach slice. I wasn't sure what they would offer by the slice but they have a large and varied selection.

    (4)
  • Haley L.

Best Pizza around. I have had pizza in NY, NJ, and all around FL. This pizza puts all other pizzas to shame. Try the white with tomato! The owner will tell you it reminds him of his fathers pizza, which makes it taste that much better! The cheese is stringy and fresh, the dough is the perfect amount of crispy and chewy, and the toppings are always super fresh!

    (5)
  • Jessica W.

Delicious! Pepperoni pizza + garlic knots. Crusty, cheesy, great flavor. My only critique (maybe this is a Midwest thing), but need more dipping sauce options - cheese, ranch, etc.

    (5)
  • Sean D.

Got 1/2 veggie and 1/2 pineapple & mushroom. Every single slice you tried to pull out, all the cheese and toppings just slid right off. The crust and outer part of the pizza was crisp and cooked thoroughly and the center was soggy and messy. I know solarzanos is a favorite spot, so we'll try it again someday, but our first experience on webber st was not a great one.

    (2)
  • Sheldon W.

This is the real deal. Good NY style pizza thin crust, good sauce. The best I've found so far in Sarasota.

    (5)
  • Robert T.

Great atmosphere that reminds me of older pizza places. We drove by the restaurant many times and finally decided to try it. The pizza was excellent with every bite full of flavor. We only ordered the pie with pepperoni but look forward to their garlic knots. Can't wait to go back! Pros - Expanded dinning area, pizza is excellent as well as cheese used, atmosphere Cons - Bit pricey recommend eating during lunch to try specials.

We are new to the area and will be visiting Solarzano Bros Pizza on Siesta Key regularly. Great pizza and knots. Definitely a treat.

  • Scott M.

Without a doubt the BEST PIZZA in SARASOTA. Having moved from Atlanta a year ago, I was lucky to live so close by here. Funny part is there are 2 franchised pizza stores on the same intersection that don't even come close to measuring up to the here. The pizzas are fresh and tasty, the garlic knots are to die for--you will not be disappointed.

    (5)
  • Matthew B.

I went here based off the very good reviews and have to say I'm somewhat disappointed. The pizza I ordered was somewhat burnt on the crust (black around the edges) which made the whole pizza very tough to chew. My pizza took 35 when I was quoted 20 on the phone. The pie also wasn't cut all the way through which made the toppings slop off when serving. I do have to say the taste was pretty good, I'd rate it 8/10. Everyone makes mistakes, so I'll definitely give them another shot based off the really good reviews and will update my review accordingly.

One of the best pizza joints in tow.n But what a long wait for the food, then they bring all the food at one time DAH

  • Susan R.

The Sinatra pizza is the best pizza I have ever eaten in my life. My kids went nuts over the cheese pizza and my hubby loved the garlic knots. We got a 10% discount for checking in on yelp. This place was fab!

  • Maryellen G.

By far, the best pizza to be found in the Sarasota area and a fun, comfortable place to eat. The pizza crust was light and crisp in the middle with just enough on the crust for a chewy delight. The way pizza should be. The sauce just added to the perfection and there are numerous combinations of specials or you can create your own. Lunch specials are more than reasonable and even though this place is a bit of a drive from our house, we plan on going back on a weekly basis. After searching for good pizza in Florida for over 8 months we have finally arrived at Pizza Heaven and can't wait to return

  • Pat M.

I've tried about five different pizza places in Sarasota and they have all been disappointing. Watching Sunday football and the nearby pizza places were closed. Solorzano Bros was a bit of a drive (Weber St), but with good reviews, I decided to give them a try. Fantastic pizza! Flavorful and covered with pepperoni! I'm not a fan of garlic bread, but those garlic knots that came with my salad were awesome.

    (5)
  • Mike B.

At the top of a short list of great pizza places in Sarasota. This pizza is perfect. Sliced sausage instead of the typical crumbles is a frat touch. Staff is very helpful and nice. Great job Solorzano's on Webber. Fantastic!

Well worth the drive. Amazing pizzas and fabulous cannolis with a strawberry sauce that is delicious. All reviews listed have been right on target with what they offer.

  • G M.

I think the pizza here is good but REALLY overpriced. A marguerita pizza is $18, with delivery, it's $20, with tip... You get what I am saying. I will not order from them again.

  • Russ S.

Awesome Pizza! Went on Yelp reviews drove about 20 mins & it was really worth it. Fresh ingredients & if they have Garlic Knots GET SOME!

  • JEREMY G.

Recently moved into the area and of course had to start checking out the pizza places. Finally got around to solarzanos and I think we found our spot. Went with the margarita and some garlic knots and they were amazing. Going to have a fun time checking the variety of pizzas off the list. Get some!

Pepperoni pizza. This is the benchmark. Simple. Everyone's got it. So we can compare "apples to apples". The pizza was a very good New York style "za". No complaints. They got it right. The crust was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The sauce very good. Wife and kids loved it. The greek salad was also solid. Really like the fact they kept the dressing separate. Greek salad also had artichokes so that bumps it up a notch for me. The garlic knots were very good as well. I really like the "mom and pop" atmosphere of this joint. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars are the prices and the unfair comparison I hold all pizzas to: Santarpio's Pizza in East Boston, which I think is the best pizza on planet earth...

  • Steve S.

I am convinced that either I am cursed or that most of the reviews I read on Yelp are owners and employees. My wife and I have been in Sarasota for a little over a year and have relied on Yelp frequently and at least 80% of the time, we scratch our heads and wonder what the heck people are eating at these restaurants. Picked up a pie at Solorzano tonight after reading rave reviews here. Also ordered the garlic knots based on the same reviews. The pizza would have been much much better had it not been burnt. More than half the pie was unedible. Too bad I live 20 minutes away. I would have taken it back. The parts that weren't burnt were not bad but Valentino on Clarke is much better and they've never burned one of my pies. The garlic knots were so so. They were very dry, but they do give you some marinara to dip them in, so that saved them. I swear, I couldn't taste the garlic. If it was a 5 minute drive from my house, I would probably go back. But it's not. It's 20 minutes and that's too far to drive for average burnt pizza. Bummer.

Probably the best pizza in town! Bar - NONE. HOWEVER, Give your drivers a cash bank to make change, and integrate a CRM. Too many times I have had to go running around taking up the drivers time because they assumed I had exact change and I thought they'd be able to make it. GET a CRM PLEASE!!! I used to be a regular patron. I'm down to once in a while now.

Probably the best (and most definitely the least expensive) dinner we had during our stay in Siesta Key. The caprese salad was very good and the pizza was awesome. Very friendly and quick service. Go here for pizza night.

Pretty decent pizza. Was very greasy which was kind of a let down. To my wife and I the pizza tasted exactly like Sbarro's pizza. Delivery was quick. The people working there were incredibly nice. Credit card payment only if you do delivery. Overall I'd say it's nothing you'd come back to FL for but it's worth getting if you are here. Cheese quality seemed good and the crust was fluffy. I'd recommend it. Average pizza.

The only place in Sarasota we've found that does legit delicious NY style pizza!

As a native New Yorker, I have had a difficult time trying to find good pizza in sarasota. I learned quickly that just because a sign says "New York style", doesn't make it true. My husband and I tried Rico's, which was better better than anything we had tried previously, but they use cheap ingredients and you can tell. After searching on yelp, my husband suggested solorzano brothers. We tried it about 6 months ago and haven't stopped since! REAL New York pizza, with quality ingredients. One thing I noticed about non New York pizza places is that they neglect the art of sauce making, and just use some canned crap. Not solorzano brothers - amazing, delicious, and you can tell its homemade. Quality cheese, as you can tell by the lack of oil on top when it comes out of the oven. Excellent dough. Friendly and knowledgable staff. Everything you could ask for from a pizza place. And last but not least, the garlic knots. FINALLY! A place in Florida that understand that a garlic knot is more than a roll, that it should be a certain size, and that it should come in increments of single, half dozen, or dozen. Thank you, solorzano brothers, for existing here!

Amazing and FRESH! This pizza will not disappoint! By far the best in Sarasota, my husband and have eaten here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. The staff are friendly, the food is fresh and perfectly made. We go for a slice, or sometimes an entire margarita and Greek salad. Either way, you can't go wrong! We have had them cater and our guests were delighted, there wasn't a piece left! HIGHLY recommended.

After a long day of Sunday football with friends we realized there was nothing to eat besides ordering a pizza. Nearby we have several places to choose from but Solorzano's is our favorite hands down. One would think ordering pizza and having it delivered would be simple right? So it sounds easy enough and a basic task most can adults can handle. My friend asks what I want and I quickly decide on a cheese pizza with pepperoni. I go with my gut when it comes to decision making and follow through with conviction. My friend, not so much. He looks at me like the dog that just ate a plate of asparagus. After pointing out the vast selection that is printed out very clearly on the menu of loaded up specialty pizzas. I inform him that a great pizza is in the crust and cheese and the integrity of it is in jeopardy once you start pilling on a pound of toppings. KISS, keep it simple stupid, is the game but that is just my personal preference when it comes to pizza. He asked what I would like and thats what he got. Ten minutes later, he went with the Siesta Fiesta (ham, pineapple, bacon, & pepperoni) which is a delicious choice. Not to mention I don't have the time to question and make him look over the menu for another 30 minutes. Finally a little progress. All that is left is to just call and order the pizza, right? So while making the call he proceeds to notify me that for the same price I can get a pizza with ricotta, garlic, and mozzarella. WOW! really.... REALLY? NO, I want pepperoni. These are the kind of people I hate. They walk into the grocery store when you are there to grab and go and slow you down because they are walking down the middle of the isle looking around like they are shopping for a TV. You know they dont end up with anything because they cant make a simple decision. We order from them all the time when we want pizza and have several menu's from here that are god knows how old. He tried for one of the coupons that had expired and they no longer were running that promotion. Done deal, the pizza is ordered and everything is done. Not so fast! Need I remind you that my friend is from Jersey and he feels as if he has some deep rooted bond with Solorzano's. I laugh at this notion later on. After walking out of the room he returns a few minutes later. I inquired what that was all about and he proceeds to point out that his other menu had a coupon for a FREE house salad and called back! WOW, hahah ok so he stated that the Jersey came out of him and he had to press it to get that which he feels is owed to him. They were excellent in taking care of the neediest customers that are a handfull. I didn't even have to deal with taking this order and I was about to call him and hang up. Then I proceeded to ask him if he knew what kind of can of worms he possibly opened because he felt the need to go "jersey". I can see it now, they are cool and collect over the phone but lets face it their reputation is based off of being from Jersey. If they had hung the phone up and felt that they didn't like the way that call went we could have a problem. Their entire business reputation is based on pizza and being from Jersey. Someone always has to go and be the bigger Jersey. I proceeded to mention now they could be stewing over it and when he opens the door and the guy hands the pizza over he could catch a blade in the neck. Maybe I have been watching too much boardwalk empire, but thats ok I have to say it since they can't. Needless to say the pizza arrived flawlessly, nobody got stabbed (to my dismay!), and everything was delicious! Not only did we end up with great pizza but I was able to write a review about getting take out that had more than just a simple taste review. The owner actually was the one who took the order. It is good that his employees get to see how well he takes care of his customers and what he expects. Sorry for the poor photos... next time around I will take some better shots.

Cheese pizza--cheese & spices excellent. Crust was half burnt and not thin as advertised. Doubt We would order again.

Thin crispy crust, fresh tomato sauce, and lots of toppings to choose from. By far one of the best pies in Sarasota.

I have managed 2 pizza places and made pizza for 10 years. This is some of the best pizza i have in Florida had. It holds it own against any New York pizza i have tried

There are much better places than this even in the same shopping center. First of all, it is NOT a restaurant. It's a take out joint that happens to have some tables in the back. We ordered 1/2 dozen knots, a cheese pizza (plain pie), a garden salad, and three bottles of water. The total came to $28.00. They only take Mastercard or Visa. I had to order at the counter and pay at the counter then wait in the back for my order to come up. At least they delivered it to the table but I had to get my own plates and silverware. I wanted cups with ice because it was so hot but they don't have ice. The salad was ordinary but it did feed my wife, daughter, and myself. The knots tasted like they were day old. A bit dry and very garlicky.. They were simply warmed up so no telling when they were made. The pizza was OK but the sauce was bit too spicy for my seven yr old. The order taker should have warned me so I could have ordered something for her. If I compared this place to Hungry Howie's, I would say it was better but with so many choices for pizza in this area, I have no idea why it received 4.5 stars. I think I could have done better with the pizza I get at the mall. It is no where near the quality received in NY or NJ so Haley must be smoking something if she thinks this place is the best. It wasn't even that hot when it came to the table. These guys are overpriced and giving them 3 stars was only because the place had tables that were clean.

love the zesty sauce on this pizza at the same time not overly poignant. ordered 2 large pizzas and a tomato/mozz/basil salad split between 4 people. we had the pepperoni/mush and the sausage/green peppers. the winner was the sausage/green pepper. solid pizza- get it to go...no room really inside. a few tables outside...

Wow! We ordered 3 large pizzas for 7 hungry people including 3 teenagers. They fed all of us with a couple of pieces left over. Huge AND delicious! I loved the meatball but several of the others raved about the Hoboken Heart Attack. We will be back!

  • Christine G.

Great pizza! We ordered the garlic knots, a meatball parm hoagie, a large pepperoni and a large Hoboken Heart Attack. Everything was excellent! The garlic knots come with a side of their red sauce. It isn't sweet like some sauces are it is on the spicy side which I happen to like. I think it is the same sauce they use on their pizzas as well as their hoagies. I never even really got to see the hoagie since my husband ate it so fast. He said he really liked it. They make their own meatballs which they use for the hoagie as well as they slice them to use on their pizzas. The pizzas were both excellent. Both had a good amount of toppings and just the right amount of sauce. I personally don't like a pizza that is too saucy so this fit the bill perfectly. We had to go there to get a menu and after we ordered they even offered to bring it out to the car. It is small inside with a short counter to sit at and eat or if you don't mind they have a few tables to sit at outside. They do deliver which is an awesome plus. Really pleased and will definitely be ordering from here again.

Great pizza. We recently moved to the area and tried a few different places to try and find something that we would like, and this was the only place that could stand up to good pizzas that we are used to. It's a nice place and they make really good pizzas. It's become a Sunday ritual for us.

Nowhere in the Sarasota/Bradington area can you get a better pizza pie. Heck, there's places in New York and New Jersey that aren't as good as this place.

Everything is great! I've tried the subs, salads (the antipasto is FAAAABULOUS), and the pizza is outstanding. They make everything fresh. Prices are reasonable. Service is wonderful. Everyone there is so helpful. And, you have to try those garlic knots. They are downright addictive.

Got home to find pizza order was wrong, didn't get even close to the toppings we asked for. 9pm & hungry tried to eat it anyway. Mediocre at best, soggy between sauce & crust, not even slightly crispy at edge crust. Half the toppings falling off every piece. At least we didn't get food poisoning.

As a New Yorker who moved to Sarasota a year ago, I'm constantly on a quest to find pizza that comes close to what I know and love. Most pizza places around here, to put it bluntly, really suck. A few months ago, I found G's Pizza and have been pretty happy to satisfy a craving there when the need strikes. It's very close to work which is great, but it's pretty far from where I live- and we are definitely NOT in their delivery zone. I think it was my review of G's which prompted the owner of Solorzano's to email me suggesting that I give them a try. Well, a pizza craving hit hard yesterday so Gabriel and I headed over to their Webber St. location which is less than 10 minutes from our house. When we arrived, we found that their choice of slices was limited to plain or pepperoni only- apparently they'd had a busy day already and sold out of everything else. The boy behind the counter told us he'd be happy to make us slices of whatever we wanted anyway, which we were happy to hear. The very reasonable $6 lunch special I ordered included any slice, a house salad, a drink and 2 garlic knots. (Well, I'm actually not entirely sure that it normally includes the garlic knots or if that was something he threw in after I mentioned that I'm a food blogger. Either way, nice touch.) I ordered artichoke and mushrooms for my slice of pizza and sat down to wait for my meal. A few moments later, a lovely salad with perfectly ripe, red, tomato slices, red onions, fresh cucumbers, romaine lettuce and a great balsamic dressing came out, along with my slice and a couple of huge garlic knots. Everything looked awesome and I was ready to dive in. The salad was a generous portion of fresh and colorful veggies, and the slice looked VERY New York. My first bite was promising. Yes! The cheese was full of flavor, hot and bubbly and the sauce was slightly sweet and the right amount. My only gripe was the crust. The texture and taste were spot-on, but it was just slightly too thick for me. I personally like a good, thin, fold-over-able NY style crust over one that's really bread-y. Even so, this is pretty damn close to what I want in a slice, and I will definitely give it my stamp of approval. The garlic knots were really oversized compared to the typical NY ones, and they tasted great. Crusty outside and doughy/chewy inside. They could have used a little more garlic, but I'm admittedly a garlic freak. I am very curious to go back to try the other types of pizza- there were SO many appealing choices, like 'Farmer's Market made with fresh local produce, the 'Sinatra', a white pie with fresh tomato slices and basil, as well as the 'Margarita' with fresh basil and mozzarella. I'd also like to try the eggplant parmesan at some point. The setting itself was very authentic and made me feel like I was back up north. I liked the Rat Pack music playing on the speakers and thought it added a cute touch to the old time-y Italian feel. There are plenty of tables outside which I would have enjoyed except that it happened to be a very windy day. We decided to sit atop the red stools inside and were comfortable there. We thought it was interesting that there's another supposedly authentic NY pizza shop in the same plaza, and after seeing 4 stars on Yelp figured that now we're gonna have to try that one too. That said, I am quite sure our next delivery order will be from Solorzano's regardless. I'm very happy to be able to throw away the delivery menus I've collected and rejected so far and replace the subpar choices near me with the very good Solorzano Bros. instead. Bravo! We will be back!

Excellent pizza place. The slices are always delicious, fresh, and hot. The service is friendly and fast. My standard order, pepperoni pizza and Greek salad, has yet to leave me wanting for more, even after I've ordered it about twenty-five times in the past year. Their pizza is one of the top 3 in Sarasota and the Greek salad is #1, hands down. Check out Solorzano Bros, you won't regret it.

Moved here in 2008, but just last night found our favorite pizza spot. The inside of this awesome little real Italian pizzeria is beautiful. You'll know right away you're in a place where the owners are local and take great pride in their work. The pies? Whoa. Delicious. Great crust--the mark of a good pie. We had meat lovers and the "Hoboken Heart Attack"--a meaty red sauce pie and the "Centrella," a white pie with fresh basil and tomatoes, loaded with flavor. Yum. Flavor, flavor, flavor. Really recommend their white pies. Feel good about supporting local businesses and have awesome pizza too? Win. Win. Try them! Find them on Facebook: facebook.com/sbpwebber

Quick delivery! Our pizza (the Bada Bing...sliced meatballs are a brilliant topping) was hot and delicious. I also ordered a cannoli. The ricotta-Nutella-chocolate chip filling was great, as was the strawberry sauce, but the shell was kind of disappointing.

Best pizza in Sarasota! Solorzanos is our go to pizza for every birthday, occasion and pizza night. Carlos and his team are amazing. My personal favorite is the Centrella, while my picky kids just love the plain cheese! I've tried nearly every pizza joint in Sarasota since moving here in 2004....hands down Solorzano's is top of my list!

Wow - surprisingly awful phone treatment from someone at this store claiming to be the general manager. We have been to Solorzano Bros many times over the past few years, but won't be going back again. Pizza is pretty good but customer service is really bad - not worth the aggravation when there are other equally good pizza options within a short distance from this location.

Hands down the best pizza in Sarasota. Carlos and the gang keep the pizza and service top notch! Although they have a good deal of great specialty pies, I am a traditionalist and believe you can truly test a pizza place by the simple pepperoni pizza. I haven't had better anywhere and I have tried them all. You can really tell they use the highest quality ingredients... Great cheese, flavorful pepperoni, awesome crust. If you haven't given Solorzanos a try, you are missing out.
