This hidden gem is worth every penny (or large bill in this case)! It is absolutely adorable inside--great for brunch, lunch, and all sorts of gatherings. I loved the feeling of being in a whole new world while sitting down to lunch with a co-worker and vendor of ours. The greenery and natural lighting is amazing! When it comes to drinks, I HIGHLY suggest the "Christmas Over Ice" (or something like that) because it truly is like Christmas--hard to explain, but it was fruity without being too sweet! Thw serving size is exactly that--a serving size...not really meant to be shared, but also perfectly filling. I had the broccoli and ham quiche and a crepe--phenomenal! If only I had room for dessert!

You may starve at this restaurant. We waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for salad and quiche! Cute spot that needs new management.

Had lunch here recently and it's beautiful, with a lovely courtyard full of flowers. It would be a perfect place to have tea party. It would be best to have a reservation, because we went on a Saturday afternoon, and it was quite busy and we had to wait a while. So if you have anywhere to be anytime soon, you would want reservations. The food was good, i would probably rate that as three stars, but am giving 4 stars for the overall experience and beauty of the place. They have a lunch special where you pick two things.. i picked a tier of cheese and a tier of tea sandwiches. This was a mistake, because it ended up not being enough food at all, but my boyfriend ordered a wrap and salad and his was very good and was a nice portion.

The owner is definitely rude & bipolar. I came here for a babyshower & the owner was unpleasant the entire time. Very unappreciative of the business & unhelpful. Our party seemed rushed & unwanted. I would never book an event here. Im not even sure I could come back for lunch. She informed everyone at the party that she had no idea where we should all park because she didn't have a parking lot & they were strict on towing. The decor & setup is adorable, I wish the sweet decorations matched the owners personality. I loved how everything you saw, was for sale. However, the prices of the items are highly unrealistic. The food was minuscule but delicious. The ginger pear tea was amazing & the wait staff did a good job staying on top of everyone's tea. I feel sorry for all the customers who have to deal with the crazy lady..

I came here on a Friday for lunch with my coworkers. There were 4 of us and we did not have a reservation. We only had to wait about 15 minutes to be seated. This is a lovely little restaurant with beautiful plants all throughout. The ginger pear ice tea was very refreshing. I ordered the cream of mushroom soup, which was delicious. The soup came out nice and hot! I got the broccoli and ham quiche as well but it was forgettable. Be warned that the portions are small. The service was good. I'll definitely be back!

Excellent! It takes extreme care to make a place this special! The soup was fine, as was the salad. We finished with the outrageously decadent chocolate cake, coffee and ginger pear tea. It was a high experience. They offer chicken or salmon on their salads, but don't expect beef or pork. A good place for those who don't require meat for lunch.

I love this place. The food selections, the charming atmosphere. It's a lovely experience all the way around.

Went for dinner and was suprised to find out it is mainly a lunch place. Small salad plates, soup and cheese plate make up the menu. the atmosphere was romantic, but only cold dishes and mushroom soup. I was not a happy camper. The key lime pie was great and by the way was larger than the entree protion. No meat on the menu. Not a place I would go back to for seconds.

went for late lunch, we had reservations...i was concerned about the portion size of food, and limited items, from reading previous reviews...but that was not necessary...food was excellent, and enough choices for our party of 3..we did have to wait a while for food delivery, considering size of kitchen and staff, we understood..yes,would go back

Well, I wish I could make a comment about the food - except the restaurant cancelled on our reservations in favor of a larger party the DAY OF (as in 3 hours before our reservation time). This was a planned-in-advance baby shower for a friend, causing us to have to relocate our entire party last minute. Poor management on the owner's part. Highly disappointed - will not be giving them my personal business anytime soon.

I was lucky enough to have a beautiful bridal shower thrown for me at Shoogie Boogies. It was the most perfect setting I could imagine, and everything was flawless. I found the owner to be extremely patient, detail-oriented, friendly and with seriously awesome taste. I've read a bunch of reviews of Shoogie Boogies on various websites and am honestly shocked to read anything that's less than top notch. I'm guessing that some of the complainers are 'bridezilla types' who found some way to make it the restaurant's fault if it rained, or if the strawberry wasn't exactly the shade of red that they'd requested. My guests and I were warmly welcomed into the flower-filled garden area with champagne flutes of elderberry water. Yummm, delightfully refreshing! We sat at a long table under giant white umbrellas, and took in the amazing presentations of tea sandwiches on pedestals, cheese and cracker plates, fresh bread and olive oil, and ginger/pear iced tea. The touches on each table setting were adorable, from napkin rings with fresh flowers, to lovely floral arrangements and quirky fairy-tale touches everywhere. You really have to see this place to believe just how girly/romantic/charming the setting is. It's really a dream. Soon, wonderful salads were brought out, and we all enjoyed the excellent quality cheeses and fresh fruits and veggies. When the owner noticed dark clouds overhead, she thoughtfully prepared one of the inside rooms for us, and invited us to move under cover for desserts and gift-opening. We took her up on her offer, not wanting to get soaked any more than her staff did, and moved inside to another beautiful setting. Her portrait photography on the walls is exquisite, and everyone enjoyed looking at each one in what felt like a private dining room at a gallery. Our iced teas were refilled and dessert platters were brought out to share. Each of the sample-sized cakes were delicious, but the total amount for 12 sugar-loving women was a little on the skimpy side. That alone is seriously the only fault I can find in this beautiful day, and really not enough of one to even bother with. I do have to be honest though, and if everything I wrote was gushy, you wouldn't believe it anyway I can't possibly recommend Shoogie Boogies any higher. If you have a ladies lunch, a girls outing, a bridal or baby shower or even a wedding, it's a perfect choice. I can't wait to go back, so please feel free to invite me!

Fantastic! You wouldn't know if from the street, but it's like a French garden right out of Provence. Beautiful, with an enchanting, laid back atmosphere. The food is good, and the menu is fixed price: pick any two menu items; there's an extra charge for meat (chicken or salmon). The place is also a photo gallery, and there's a gift shop, so there are lots of neat things to buy, too. Also, because of its limited hours and awesomeness, it gets pretty busy, so reservations come in handy.

This is always at the top of my list and on the tip of my tongue - I've been here many times and, like Kathryn, I'm also a photographer and own an Inn in Provincetown - so I know what it takes to do what she does - Love, love, love Shoogie Boogies - The charming atmosphere and creative expression of artist and host, Kathryn Kittinger is truly inspiring - from luncheon delicacies, presentation, and ambience - all is so thoughtfully arranged and if there's anything in particular that you like in the gardens, on the walls, or at your table it's all for sale ;-) - If she were to change name of her establishment I would suggest it to be: "Kathryn's Heart" -

Love taking visitors to experience this fabulous restaurant. Who would ever imagine this fabulous little gem is just beyond Main Street. The ambiance of a European cafe right here in Sarasota. Everyone made us feel so welcome and comfortable and the food was wonderful. Will never stop dining there.

Shoogie Boogies now has a delightful Garden Cafe in the back. Stylish and attractive, with designer table settings, attentive service, and tasty food nicely served. We enjoyed well made crab quiche with delish mushroom soup, and a great tasting salad with walnuts, smoked cheese and pears. Next time we go, we go for dessert as well.
