Clean, cheery restaurant. Friendly staff. Authentic Celtic music. Minuscule chicken pot pie (appetizer size). Very salty chips (fries to you Yanks). Over-priced for serving portions. Where's the "gastro"?

What a discovery! Lovely Irish hospitality, music, but best of all -- the food is great, inventive and expertly cooked and presented. Fish and chips, best ever -- chips (fries) are hand cut, homemade, and delicious. Tobacco onions (never mind the "tobacco," it just describes the color of skinny, delicate flash-fried onions). Friendly owners Ross and Louise are doing a great job. Full bar, happy hour 2-6.

Have eaten here twice; very congenial and warm atmosphere created by Louise and Ross, the managers. Food is delicious - everything perfectly cooked and seasoned. Have tried fish and chips, the beef stew, the country fried steak (nothing like what you get in Texas!) - all excellent. They all go very well with the large glass of cold, delicious cider. There is Irish music most nights which is great to hear but doesn't overwhelm your conversations. We will return very soon!

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this pub on Father's Day. We originally went to First Watch next door for brunch, but they had a long wait so, we walked over to Pub 32. The traditional Irish Pub atmosphere was very welcoming and our waitress was super friendly. The brunch menu looked delicious, but we both opted for the Steak & Poached Eggs special. Both of our meals were so incredibly delicious! We completely cleaned our plates. The steak was grilled to a perfect and tender medium rare with a great flavor overall. The eggs were poached nicely and covered with a yummy hollandaise sauce. The dish also came with home fries, which were also cooked perfectly with the perfect slightly crunchy edges. Overall, this was by far the best Steak & Eggs brunch I've ever had. I will highly recommend this pub and I'll definitely come back to try out the dinner menu as well. Oh! Another bonus - after our meal, one of the cooks brought us a couple of their Blueberry Cream Cheese muffins. You could tell they were freshly baked that day - the real deal! The muffins were also awesome! Even though we were both full, we managed to make room for something so delicious. The muffins were free, which was just a super nice gesture to follow up a fantastic meal.

The food was great!! Home made chips are crispy. My Ruben was one of the better ones I've had down here. The quiche was big juicy and delicious.

This is a great little Irish themed pub. The beer is good and cold and food is tasty.

Stopped in for a quick bite. Had read the reviews and had to check it out. Outstanding service, great beer selection at happy hour prices. Shared two appetizers, the Reuben bites and the chips with beer cheese. Tasty and well crafted. We also shares the special which was a braised beef and Swiss sandwich- to die for! I now understand why this get such great reviews! A hidden gem.

Good music, fun atmosphere. The owner is very accommodating and I will go back again.

Fabulous Irish beers on draft. The happy hour is from 3 to 6pm daily, so for working folks, you either need to rush and pray for no traffic or wait until the weekend or holidays to try. The appetizers and drink selection for Happy Hour are $4 each. Great price, wish the happy hour would last until 6:30 so we could go during the week. The Guinness and onion soup is excellent. The sausage bangers are tasty and lightly breaded. The pub chips won our hearts. Perfectly thin and crispy, not oily, with a drizzle of balsamic and bleu cheese chucks. Entree selections are varied too. The pub burger looked impressive, we went with the baby back ribs which were excellent. The meat was falling off the bones and fork edible. The glaze was sweet and went perfectly with ribs. The pub environment was calm and then on Monday's at 7pm, they have Whiskey tasting and the crowds of regulars knew it. A great spot where neighbors come to socialize and learn among friends. The bar was full in no time at all. Really a nice spot for a drink, a meal, and some Irish hospitality. Will be visiting again soon.

Our favorite place to gather and socialize. The bar is perfect as is Ross... Great drinks and great ambiance... The live Irish music is the icing on the cake!

Been a few times and they delivered 5 star quality. We recommended the place to many friends. Returned another time and I just couldn't think of a good thing to say regarding the wait staff or the food. I literally felt sick afterwards. Was surprised after so many good experiences. Maybe they had a new wait staff and cook? Would give it another whirl as the owners are super nice and the atmosphere is a lot of fun. Fantastic bar too, but as a restaurant though, consistency is key.

Outstanding fish and chips. (best chips I've had in FL). Young Irish couple own and operate. Casual and friendly atmosphere with the occasional whisky tasting. Love this place so much I occasionally drive ten miles to have the F & C's when I get a craving. They know how to pour a proper black and tan.

This place just didn't do it for us. The food was quite good, and the atmosphere was pleasant. On the other hand, the menu was very limited and the prices very high, especially for a pub. Service, while friendly, was basically non-existent. She took our order, brought our food, then disappeared. We sat with empty plates & glasses in front of us until we waved down another server to track ours down. All in all a rather lackluster experience that didn't give us any reason to return. YMMV.

Saw the great reviews and decided to ride down to check it out. Nice friendly clean little pub that happened to have one of the worst steak and Guinness stews I've ever had. Too much flour and bland. I was very very disappointed as I wanted very much to like this place. Other reviews were so great, it was a huge disappointment. Everything else was very good but for me that was the deal breaker.

Great food, attentive staff, especially like the fish and chips, chicken pot pie, and burgers. But all the food is delish! Homemade chips (potato wedges) and coleslaw :) Icy cold beer is served with a smile and the pickle shots are always a hit! Always a nice crowd when there's live Irish music on weekends. Sunday night Jam is awesome! Nice hardworking owners.

Got to the restaurant at 6pm, did not get served our dinner until 7:30pm. Wait staff/service is slow and forgetful. Although our waitress apologized for forgetting to put our order in to the kitchen in a timely manner, there was never a manager that came by our table to discuss the problem. The food was delicious once it arrived. Tuesday is Trivia Night (my husband and I did not participate) and maybe the wait staff couldn't handle the extra patrons that showed up?

You must try Pub 32! The new menu is amazing. Fresh ingredients in all of the menu items served by a friendly staff. When you walk in you will feel like you are an authentic Irish pub. A solid selection of draft beer and a stellar selection of whiskey. Great place to sit at the bar and catch a game while you eat a top shelf meal!

Came because of the ratings and the menu. I was not disappointed! I had a half order of the sea scallops; just incredible! I has the Irish stew entree, again incredible! The meat was spoon tender. The gravy was thick and rich. The mash potato topping was an excellent complement to the stew. They have quite a beverage selection to go with the meals! Will be back!

One of the most pleasant surprises dining out ever. Very clean and great atmosphere, be it a pub or restaurant. Very engaging & friendly staff. Food & drinks were very well poured/prepared. Everything was very tasty from the scallops app, to the lamb chops and the Irish cheesecake. Worth the drive from Clearwater!

We are lucky to have a Pub nearby that serves delicious food. The menu is not limited to the usual pub fare (though I'm always game for that!). We sat at the bar on a weeknight and split the fish and chips, which lived up to the glowing recommendation given by a friend. The bar area had plenty of comfortable seating and a great crowd, a mix of people (all ages and walks of life). Plan to make this a weekly stop. They have a calendar of events as well.

Really enjoy this place. Ross the owner could not be any friendlier and attentive. Guinness is the right temperature and a full pint. Food genuine Irish along with American favorites. It will not disappoint b

Really good food, very open restaurant area and as much ambiance as you can get being a pub in a strip mall. Service was OK. My only complaint would be that the prices of food were just too high. I would go back if I wasn't very hungry and looking to drink some beer and/or whiskey. Overall a nice place!

Menu could have had more options but food we ate was outstanding. Chicken pot pie was amazing. Bartender Ross WAS only reason we initially stayed, great service.

Generally you don't think of delicious, fresh food when you think of a pub. And you might not think about delicious organic and local ingredients in an Irish pub in Florida, but that is what you will find here. I ordered the chicken pot pie, made from organic chicken and my husband ordered the fish and chips. The filling in the pot pie was delicious, so much so I could hardly complain about the packaged puff pastry they use for the crust. It was light and enjoyable and left me feeling very satisfied. I had a pint of beer with it, which I do about twice a year, and it was the perfect match for my food. They filled the glass half way with a wheat ale and floated Guinness ale on the top. It was different in a good way. My husband really enjoyed his fish and chips which consisted of perfectly battered and fried fish and fresh hand cut chips. No frozen battered potatoes here thankfully! The batter on the fish was very crisp and my husband declared it was the best he has had since London. Our server, Makenzie, was exceptional and gave us great service, including being very patient with me while I asked a million questions trying to figure out which beer to order. This restaurant is definitely on the top of our list of places to eat in Sarasota. What a great thing to find real food at a restaurant and not the usual crap everyone has become so accustomed to eating. Don't hesitate to eat here. You will absolutely enjoy it along with the live Irish music.

I have to admit I love this place. I love most things Irish and this is not the exception. Traditional Irish music is performed throughout the evening. The fish and chips are the best I have had since London. They were not wrapped in newspaper and were perhaps taken up a notch.

My dad and I stopped here for a few beers. The atmosphere is pleasant - a bit of family restaurant and a bit of Irish bar. The beer was lovely (I hear they have Irish microbrews on the way). In fact it was the best Guinness pour I've had on this side of the pond. However, the real star was the food. The pub chips are a "can't miss" dish. They were perfectly rendered and salty, a great companion for a good beer. The beef and Guinness stew was lovely, rich and flavorful. I can't wait to go back!!

Excellent food, great atmosphere, very clean restaurant. I had the Ruben the corn beef was fresh no fat the pickled cabbage was delicious. We also had the beef stew and soda bread. Soda bread was to die for. I definitely recommend it.

The food was simply amazing! My wife and I really enjoyed the ambiance and cleanliness of the restaurant. I like that the restaurant has enough diversity to accommodate a dinner with my family or a business outing. The staff is extremely friendly. We will certainly return to PUB32. Kudos to PUB32. Awesome place! Authentic and delicious. Take a Whiskey Pickle Shot for extra fun. Fish & Chips was great. The bartender was very friendly and hospitable. Definitely would come back next time I'm in the area.

This is a very nice place. I have eaten here twice: once with my wife and once with a friend. They were both surprised and very pleased. The owners are hands on and plainly serious about quality food and service in a friendly atmosphere. And as a bonus, they have my ATF, but hard to find, ale on tap.

Let me tell you - it was a pleasant surprise. I did not expect from the place alot. I usually avoid pubs since I am not beer/alcohol consumer. First impression - place is neat and has a welcoming atmosphere. It was a Saturday and there was a band playing Irish music and songs. I ordered for an appetizer pan seared scallops served on pork belly confit and corn puree. I did not know what pork belly confit was - it turned to be a delicious European style fried bacon. I also was not sure about the corn puree - but it was so good that if not other people around - I would have lick the smears of the plate. Next time I will order an triple order of this appetizer to be a meal. The cost was somewhat high for the portion size - but the taste compensate for that. My main meal was Pub 32 Signature pork ribs. It would be awesome meal if not too much salt, especially on the hand cut chips (what are actually fries): they may go fine with the beer but not with meat that has plenty of its own salt. The ribs themselves were tender and flavorful. My boyfriend had a Beef & Guinness Stew: Top sirloin beef slow cooked with potatoes, vegetables and herbs. It was delicious - like homemade: tender meat and yummy gravy. The total bill was $48 plus tips (we had tea ordered for drinks). Not too bad. I definitely will be back for my scallops! They are the reason I gave their place five stars.

Have now tried more of the menu and everything is good! The pot pie is very good and the beer is wonderful, of course. Ross and Louise are lovely people, too.

The Pub is warm and inviting, nice selection of Irish beer, great selection of Irish whiskeys as well as bourbon and scotch. This is an authentic Irish pub owned and operated by?? Genuine Irish people! The menu while smaller than most is focused on quality over quantity. Beef Short Ribs App is excellent, I opted for the Fish and Chip (hand cut) and they were excellent as well. My wife chose the Black and Blue Salad with chicken, it was flavorful and fresh, the chicken was moist and not dried out. They have live music most nights and welcoming atmosphere every night. My wife and I will be back. Nice place for dinner or just to pop in for a pint or a dram!

Very friendly staff, great food (hubs and I shared a fish and chips) and great beer drinks! I recommend the Shandy on a hot day!

I thought the food was really good and suggest trying a bunch of things. We had the reuben fritters, which were an interesting twist on the sandwiches. The onion soup was extremely good, but I wished there was more cheese since that is my favorite part. Otherwise was one of my favorites in Sarasota. The fish and chips were A+ quality and not greasy and "chips" lightly malted for those who don't want it doused like I do. Tobacco onions with the chili sauce were very yum and could not stop eating. Black and Bleu salad was HUGE with quality cheese, but not so sure if the dressing was matching. The happy hour had reasonable wines, but if not during that time very pricy. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Overall an upscale irish experience with a twist. Very cool joint and will try again.

Authentic, fresh and well prepared dinner. Lamb chops were perfectly medium rare, fish and chips were crisp and delicious. Service by Louise was excellent. Live music made the evening complete. Beer list was limited, but adequate. This is a restaurant that deserves a loyal following . . . And makes me wish I could spend more time in Sarasota.

We had a great time. Music could not have been better. We didn't get food. Unfortunately our waiter was having a bad night... The other bartenders and staff were great. I think it would have been much better with a better waiter but we had a good time anyway.

I came in during the week for a late lunch and the place was pretty empty. The waitress was very nice and attentive. I decided to get the fish and chips lunch special and it was delicious! I'll be coming back in the future.

Came here with my husband and kids who is from Cork Ireland and we have to say very nice! We had shepherds pie (which came with shredded pork) , Ribs and Coleslaw (very good) fries (homemade a lil fatty but my kids loved them) and Bangers and Mash. Mash Potatoes were the best. They have a big beer selection excellent whiskey and wine. The Owner is Irish and Interior is very nice! Location is great! We will come back!

The food is pretty good, out of two visits I can't say I've been wowed by any of it but it sure is better than most. They at least have most of the standard Irish beers and the service is excellent.

My first experience at Pub 32 was a disaster, but we've been back several Tuesdays for trivia night. The trivia master (emcee) is a lot of fun. Our waitresses have been very good. The food is much better than at oir first trip. One of my favorites is the chicken pot pie. The lesson learned is that you can't judge a restaurant based on a one night stand.

  • Becky W.

My boyfriend has been before and my parents go frequently, but I went for the 1st time last night. Loved it!! The food was delicious and the service was amazing! I recommend the scallops appetizer...mouth watering! I had the vegetables au gratin special and he had the Pompano fish special. I would definitely recommend the vegetable special. It was a yummy and unique way to serve veggies! They also had my favorite beer, Kilkenny. We'll definitely be back!
