Maybe im not used to Southern Hospitality, but our server offered to "go into the kitchen and whip y'all up a big ole' salad". We received our salad and breadsticks and before I could take 2 bites, the food arrived. Quick service is great but I felt hurried. Then I asked the difference (in size) between the lunch and dinner portions. The server said there was no difference because they're both made with our signature sauce and noodles. Not really helpful. Our relaxing dinner was a bit awkward to say the least. Food was on point though...so five stars for that. Very mixed feelings about this OG.

Takeout dinners that went bad. They forgot one entree altogether and no breadsticks. The pasta was dry. They wouldn't credit only gave a gift card. Don't think we're going back soon.

Went for dessert only. Gladys, our server, was super friendly. Lemon cream cake and tiramisu were great, as always!

Its an Olive Garden - Given my other reviews, I can't give it more than 2 stars. The service, from our waitress Gladys was good (albeit slow). She was very solicitous of our party of 6 with 4 different checks. We sampled the Ravenswood wine and ended up buying a 15 oz serving to share. Food choices were varied from the regular lasagna (dry in places), the fried lasagna (an unexpected surprise), seafood alfredo (enough for 2), cheese ravioli and a pasta primavera. Everyone loved the salad and the breadsticks which also filled most up before dinner. I think you are either a fan of this place or not, I am not. Have avoided it for at least 10 years and it will probably be another 10 before I go again. There's nothing wrong with the restaurant, as the stars indicate, "I've just experienced better."

If you come here, do take advantage of the unlimited soup salad and breadsticks offer. It's really unlimited. Like, realllllly unlimited. How tf are there children starving in Africa when I can chill in a fuggin Olive Garden for 14 hours and eat 15 bowls of salad 7 servings of soup and 142 breadsticks and have nobody even say shit??? Waiter came up to me hour fourteen like "Would you like the check now sir?" and I'm like "NAY I WANNA SLEEPING BAG AND SOME FAMILY PHOTOS I'M MOVING UP INTO THIS BITCH" but they didn't fux wit that and kicked me out when it "closed". Jokes on them tho the forklift takin me out the doors broke down. Bitches. 5/5 dining experience + 1/5 not reallllly unlimited = 3/5 avg experience rating

After attending church, my parents and I arranged to dine at the Olive Garden. It's been a long while since I have eaten here. As usual, this place has a waiting time, but we were lucky, we were seated almost immediately. Looking around you can see the Italian accents with paintings and columns and offerings. Naturally, we ordered the bowl of their famous salad before our entrees. The salads are always fresh and appetizing! With that, they brought out a few of their warm buttery bread sticks! I ordered the meat Lasagna, layered for perfect amount full of gewy cheese and sweet tomato wine sauce and a good amount of real ricotta cheese. Delicious! My father chose the linguini with black mussels. My mom ordered a shrimp special full of fried sweet shrimps. Ending with a tiramisu and cappuccino! It was all a special treat for us and we didn't have to cook our own Italian dish, this time!

This past Sunday I went to "Olive Garden" to celebrate my birthday with a couple relatives. I kinda suffered from Take out burn out from the great food over at "Francesco's" on Webber St. So I went back to the franchise Italian restaurant tradition of "Olive Garden". It had been almost a year since my last visit. We went around the rush hour period on Sunday and only had to wait like 5 minutes top. We requested a booth at the onset of arriving and received one. Our waiter "James" a nice cordial young man took our order. Although it seems with the busy atmosphere he accidentally botched my entree order. I was served a Grilled Salmon dish which his confusion probably started since my relative in my guest party ordered the Grilled Trout. Which my cousin enjoyed the Peach Iced tea with real slices of peach inserted. So they took back the wrong entree and within 2 minutes time the restaurant manager appeared. She apologized for the error and kindly offered my originally ordered entree at no cost. It was the newly offered "Stuffed Chicken Marsala" that seemed to be recently added to the menu. (at $16.79 or so) Since it was my birthday my mom jumped at the chance to state it was my birthday. Inquiring if my dessert would also be on the house. It was eventually after the restaurant manager was coy in a humorous manner with us. Which left us guessing until our server "James" informed us that the dessert was also free as we were paying the bill. I ordered the "Black Tie Chocolate Mousse Cake" slice which has a layer of cheesecake in it. All of it was a very tasty meal, so a hearty thank you for the complimentary birthday treat. I thanked the restaurant manager as I was leaving although she acknowledged me verbally. She didn't turn around and continued walking in the direction she was heading. I guess she was sore on how lucky I got with my birthday meal on the house. I kinda felt bad for our waiter "James" since he apologized like 3 times throughout our stay after the mix up of entrees. Aside from the error his service was very good. Although it seems now the "Olive Garden" is offering the classic up sale to their previous free salads. They're offering at $2.99 some Antipasto additions and another selection of ingredients as well. Shrewd in now getting most customers to pay for a once free salad offering. The bread has only gotten worse since the great recession started. It's nothing more than a tubular bread with lightly sprinkled cheese powder. It's not even garlic!

Just like all the other Olive Gardens, this location has great food and great service. One of my favorite restaurants by far.

It's Olive Garden, I always get what I expect and the service is always great. Go in a little at 8 to avoid the classic sarasota dinner rush.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! Olive Garden is my absolute favorite restaurant and this place knows what's up! The chicken alfredo is to die for. Also, the salad and breadsticks are perfect every time. I can definitely say that almost all the servers there are great because I eat there probably way more than I should! KEEP IT UP!

The food is mediocre. I had the "New" Short ribs and risotto which was tasteless and bland. I was very disappointed in the service as it was slow and all of the food did not arrive at the table at the same time.

Unlimited soup and salad. Great service. 3 coarse dinners for only 12. This place is very clean including the bathrooms. Little or no wait. I love the herb grilled salmon with roasted asperagus. My favorite. They have an artichoke fritter appetizer that is also good. I enjoy their frozen cappuccino. The black tie cheesecake rocks! The children's meals include the drink and are generous portions. If I could recommend anything..it would be to get bottled water. Their tap water is not too tasty (it is city water).

I am only giving this place a star because it is making me give a star so I can warn everyone to run from this location. Went in for some appetizers and a salad. The appetizers were over cooked and the salad was drenched in dressing so that it needed a shower and dry only to make it a little edible. The breadsticks were probably a week old and growing mold. The service could be a little more helpful. Waitstaff seemed to be hurried as right after I paid my bill and left her a nice tip for bad service she cut me off in the road right out in front of the restaurant.

Excellent dinner and total experience here. We came with a very large group, had drinks at the bar and were then promptly seated. Our table of twelve was very efficiently served by Nick, both personable and accommodating. The food, as is usually the case, was quite good and plentiful. I had the braised beef and tortellini, delicious and enough to take with me for a future lunch. I find Olive Garden's menu much more appealing and varied than that of Carrabba's.

Food taste was ok but from the minute we sat down it was nothing but problems. I ordered a hazelnut macchiato which sounded delish...however it arrived with no whipped cream (which was the thing that tempted me in the first place). The drink refills were slow to nil. Our table was drinkless for about 10 minutes. We had salad. No issues. Kids meals came out with salads. They came out incomplete. Mac and cheese is supposed to come with 2 sides. Neither the waitress nor the kitchen was aware of this although it's printed on the menu. We waited 20 minutes from the time we finished our salad to the time we got our meal. Which means the kids were well expired by the time we began to eat. Problems with the dinner ranged from Luke warm to forgotten dinner items and forgotten garnish. Ketchup for the kids fries that never came. Soda refills that came with the bill but we're requested midmeal. Will not return.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
