Great food! We had a fabulous breakfast and was treated very well by the staff. The food was wonderful! Our server was attentive without being overbearing. We had dined on a weekday and the pace was a little more leisurely than on the weekends. The only down side that I could see was that the decor was a little cheesy. The owners need to spend a little money on the tables and chairs. Our table was the one with the annoying wobble ( hey guys, a folded up napkin isn't the solution!!!) So, if you want a good meal, this would be one to visit.

If you're looking for a down home, quiet restaurant where you can order all your favorite comfort foods, look no further than Oasis Cafe. It's not fancy. It's not pretentious. It's the kind of place where what you get looks like what you though you ordered. You can very creative plates on every corner of Sarasota. It's refreshing when your plate looks familiar. Fast, friendly service, great prices, best breakfast option south of Main Street.

One of very few awesome places to go to breakfast in Sarasota. Great variety on the menu, lots of fun specials on the chalk boards, and if you like their FB page, you will get updates as to what they will be serving that day. Truly amazing Eggs Benedict special today, not for the faint of heart...smoked sausage, spinach, Vermont cheddar and Hollandaise and poached eggs...thank goodness for the pile of fruit served with it, or I would have felt guilty. I love their corned beef hash as well (totally not from a can), and their incredible potatoes are...incredible. Not to mention your eggs will always be perfectly cooked, and if you have a sweet tooth, they are sure to find a way to make it fall out. GO HERE FOR BREAKFAST, BRUNCH, OR LUNCH! Staff is super great too!!!!!

We took our four children here and had a terrific breakfast. Very clean restaurant with kind, attentive wait staff. The food was great from breakfast wrap to pancakes to baked goods. We'll definitely be back.

Awesome! We are locals here in Sarasota and this is one of our favorite breakfast spots. They have daily specials that are creative and always delicious. And don't forget the dessert, it's always amazing, good enough to make you forget your diet.

Oasis Cafe in Sarasota is a treasure! The food is always delicious and I especially recommend whatever is on the daily special board. The breakfast wrap with sweet potato hash and croissant French toast are to die for! It's always impossible to resist the array of fresh baked goods available with your food or to go. One tip- daily specials can run out, so try to arrive early to take advantage, especially during tourist season. My only complaint is the service. There seems to be a lack of staff and the servers can be slow and not attentive. The consistently delicious food overcomes this, though, and I will always return!

We ate at Oasis for the first time this last weekend. All I can say is we have found our new favorite breakfast spot. The food was amazing. Highly recommend this place.

I yelped a good breakfast spot while visiting Sarasota and came up with this. What a terrific find! From the moment hubby and I walked through the door and received a sample of some delicious banana frosted cake to the polite and attentive service we received to the varied selections of made from scratch specials. It was a party in our mouths. We loved the Oasis Cafe and we will be back! (and yes, the goat cheese and herb biscuits are a must try!)

What a surprise! This cafe is tucked into a strip mall (near one of the best places for burgers) and is really cute. I'll start with the specials. Don't bother to look at the menu just order off the special boards. Holy Toledo!! I had the poached eggs on herb goat cheese biscuits with grilled tomato and chipped beef gravy. Simply amazing and the fresh rosemary sprinkled in put it over the top. I normally would not order something like this but it just sounded so good. My mouth and tummy were very happy!

This is hands down my fav brunch spot in Sarasota. Davi is the sweetest server, I recommend you ask for her! I've never ordered off the menu because the daily specials are too hard to pass up! Never been disappointed. The desserts are to die for. Get one to go!

This is a great neighborhood spot for well prepared and creative breakfasts in particular. The specials are inventive and the baked goods are clearly their pride but those who are watching their carbs should check their conscience at the door. Friendly service and an interesting group of morning regulars. Makes you feel at home.

I went here today with my husband for the first time after getting a recommendation from a family member. The best part of our brunch was how promptly we were seated, after waiting a few minutes our waitress came to take our order quickly telling us that no lunch would be served as that is restaurant protocol on Sunday's. Being five months pregnant myself I follow a diet as prescribed by my obstetrician (mainly not eating raw foods-obviously common sense for bacterial reasons) as such I ordered an egg sandwich with the egg ordered to be cooked over-hard, after waiting roughly 20 minutes our food had arrived and as soon as I bit into my sandwich the yolk started running everywhere on the plate. My husband immediately caught the attention of our waitress and explained that I can not eat runny yolks as per my diet because I'm pregnant to which our waitress responded that she had thought I ordered my eggs over easy and flippantly added that she ate plenty of runny eggs and her 39 year old child is still alive and well. Of course she said she would ensure that it was made correctly the second time which took another fifteen minutes to "remake" by the time it had been brought out to our table my husband had already finished his breakfast and the bagel had runny yolk all over it still. A highly disappointing experience, I will not recommend this restaurant to any friend, acquaintances or otherwise.

Love the Oasis Cafe! Jim, Melissa and Adam are the best of the best. The food is fresh, tasty and creative. Breakfast is always a treat, lunch is amazing and the desserts are delicious. They have very creative breakfast and lunch specials. They also have tables for 2 outside.. and you can bring your 4 legged friend.

My mom and I now frequent here for breakfast! Not only does they're basic breakfast come out looking amazing, they create some spectacular, sinful, mouth watering and unique specials daily. There is also plenty of fresh baked goods tat look to die for, but we're always too full. One of these days I plan on popping in for some baked goods to go. I highly recommend trying the Oasis Cafe!

--Update-- Today I received a request from Oasis to revisit my review. Sorry, Oasis - asking parents to change their babies in the car in the Florida heat - or suggesting to parents that they change their babies on the sink?! That's just plain gross - and

Always awesome specials so that's a treat. Very friendly on my vegetarian options. The food has always been delicious here and I've always had nice service as well. Except for the last time I came with my sister and nephew. I know it was about 20 minutes to closing but she didn't even ask us if we wanted dessert or more coffee. Just tossed the check at us. Not very nice considering we did want to take some sweets to go, but alright, we'll get out of your way. Food is really what matters here but maybe an idea to update the interior a bit? Seems kind of like a nursing home inside. I know we're in Sarasota but I'm not wearing compression socks just yet and I like pretty things to look at!

Since I am the first to review and not an out-of-towner, I'm going to review gently here. -I was in Sarasota for 2-1/2 days. -I ate out at exactly four different places -so I don't exactly have the broadest range of other places to compare to. That being said... Recommended by friends more familiar with Sarasota, one of their favs is the fried blueberry muffin. Basically, take a blueberry muffin that is about 50% blueberry, cut in half, brown the flat sides on the grill. Not the greatest to-write-home-about until you realized that the muffin is 50% berries. Did I mention that the muffin is 50% berries? The menu is diverse, aimed at a more consciencious eater looking for a bit of the flair (you can order Bear Creek whole grain pancakes, lightly spiced with...I'm not 100% sure...) you can get one of multiple specials (for breakfast on a Sunday, there were like five or six.) Prices would fall into mid-range. The place occupies a spot in a small strip mall of 3-4 shops. They have outdoor seating. Decent coffee. Polite service. The place was fairly popular. They've got maybe 2 dozen tables and there was a short wait. My impression was "eh." The flavors of the pancakes and the crabcake eggs benedict the favorite I've ever eaten. The crab cakes happened to be on the much softer side. Three stars. I think the local populace would be happy with the place.

Went there at 11 AM with four friends. We were seated right away. Everything that was served at the table looked delicious. We bypassed the baked goods but I'm tempted to go back. I will definitely return.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I had given up on Eggs Benedict years ago because I thought I hated poached eggs. I have found out that I have always just had crappy poached eggs. The EB here is the best I have ever had. If they have the corned beef hash on special (it's not on the menu) order it. It's made from scratch and is simply amazing. We have usually had good wait staff here as well. We did have a bad waitress once but the food was still wonderful. They have a great selection of fresh baked breads and desserts as well.

I had high hopes for this place based on the prior reviews, but our meals were about average at best. I would have given it 3 stars, but the service fell short. Our server was new (2nd day) and did not know the menu and hadn't tasted anything. PLEASE - restaurant owners - train your folks before putting them on the floor and make sure they taste your food! I didn't try too much of their bakery items which looks like what they are known for? I did try their Kahlua and orange croissant french toast. While it wasn't bad, I definitely would not have it again - the Kahlua and orange are not good together, and the french toast was a little bit burnt.

If you want a great breakfast, fresh baked goods, great service and casual dress - THIS IS THE PLACE. We have been coming to Siesta Key for 25 years and we noticed the difference in the food at the Broken Egg - our Former Favorite breakfast place. Now we know why - the original owners are back - HERE !!! You can't beat their AWESOME breakfast.

Don't let the appearance fool you, Oasis Cafe is not a diner just serving up breakfast. Yes, you can get eggs and all day for that matter, but this no frills joint has a very appetizing menu and daily specials to boot, so you should really give it a try. The service was ever so friendly and the food was top rate - the black bean cakes are seriously addictive - so don't let the strip mall feel hold you back from a tasty nibble.

First off I would give this place zero stars if I could. When we walked in I thought this was going to be a good experience. It's a cute little place. But. . . . I asked for water and my Mom a coffee. They brought out our drinks mom asked for cream for her coffee and the server said ok and left. We still weren't ready to order. That server never came back with the cream. So up walks Sara. (Or so that's what she told me her name was at the end of this story when things had gotten bad) she takes our order. Simple. I got two eggs over medium with bacon and sourdough toast. My mom got two eggs scrambled and sourdough toast. This place wasn't very busy. About 20 minutes later our order comes out. She sets our plates down in front of us and you can see in the pics that the bread looks just like it did going into the toaster. It was barely warm and not toasted. It must have been on the fastest setting going through a rolling toaster. Server left. We had to flag her down to ask for butter as the toasts were both served dry. So by the time the butter came the toasts were completely cold. My mom ended up eating hers but I sent my back. I asked for wheat toast this time and for them to TOAST it as I had already buttered it. I also had to tell her that my moms scrambled eggs were not cooked all the way. My mom had one bite and couldn't eat anymore. She had lost her appetite. No big deal. Just take them back and take them off the bill, right?? That's what one would think. She told us theamager would come out and speak to us. Well the manager never came but Sara came back out with a plate and asked my mom if she wanted them to throw her eggs back on the grill. My mom told her no she was done. She didn't want the eggs anymore. Around this time this is when Sara's attitude started to show. While I waited for my new toast I ate my eggs and bacon. Well fast froward to 10 mins later my eggs and bacon are done and I'm still waiting on my toast. Finally the burnt toast arrived. We asked her to bring the bill out. The server was being very bitchy so of course I got pissed. I held back though as we were in public. The bill had to come back to us twice because she didn't to take my moms eggs off the bill. Finally she took the eggs off and said I'm going to get in trouble the manager doesn't want me to take them off. Well the manager should have come out to talk to us instead of letting his or her waitress do the dirty work. But the waitress was had been being nasty to us quietly so now she was saying I'm trying to help you out loud enough for the whole place to hear. When she walked away I apologized to the table behind my mother because they heard everything that was going on. . She had our money in her hands and I had to repeatedly ask her to just go get us out change so we could leave. Finally the last time I had to tell her I said just bring us our f'n change so we can get the f out of here. I was so mad at this woman by this point I was shaking. She finally came out with my moms change and sat it in from of me and LOUDLY practically screaming counted the change back to me all while placing it in the table. Had she actually had the correct change would have been nice but she shorted me 5$ so she had to go back and get me the rest of the money. Then this B had the nerve to ask me to count it back to her all after trying to make a fool out of me. I said oh hell no b. I need $5. She gave me my mothers change finally. My mom and I got up to walk out the door and this lady was still being super rude so I told her all loudly that she was the rudest waitress ever while walking pasta her to get to the door. This was absolutely the worst experience of my life at a restaurant.

Always a delicious experience for breakfast. The food at the oasis Café is a delight to the taste buds and the eyes. They have quite a variety to choose from. Great service too. Definitely one of the better breakfast restaurants in town.

Service is non-existent. The food is acceptable but nothing extraordinary. The baked goods are amazingly delicious. Come pick up the sour cream crumb cake or the muffins. I keep hoping the staff will get trained but clearly that is not on the mission statement. With two bussers and plenty of tables that are dirty, there is no explanation.

The interregnum between summer and Season means we can observe native Sarasotans undiluted by exotic species. Just as in the Masai Mara, prime wildlife spotting coincides with sun-up and sun-down, and for guaranteed success be near a water-hole. Apropos then is a place called the Oasis. At opening time on a Sunday you will likely bag the following big game: ~ The lone octogenarian man who has just finished his egg on toast and single mug of decaf. How did he order and eat so quickly? ~ The Ferrari-driving sixty-something who knows all the staff by name (and their net worth and that of everyone he lays eyes on.) ~ The fussy grandparent-types who decades ago gave up on original conversation and now limit themselves to wondering - aloud - whether that is milk or half-n-half in the jug. ~ Golden-aged couples grateful for early church services so they can get down to the real business of winter Sundays: breakfast and football. Hemingway territory this is not. All our meals might have been made more lively had he busted through the door with a loaded elephant gun clutching a recently dead wildebeest...but no such luck. Instead, everyone ate their oatmeal and eggs, sipped their tea and coffee, and quietly broke their fast.

We eat there every time we are in Sarasota and have taken friends. We have tried many of their specials and been very satisfied. Their pastries are to die for and would recommend Oasis for breakfast or lunch.

Baked Goodie Heaven!!! Walk through the door and you're greeted by the sample du jour, in our case Peach Crumb Cake. Delish!!! We had a combination of breakfast and lunch at the table... Nothing but praise and rave reviews. Service was outstanding and friendly.
