We had dinner at Miss Saigon's last night and as usual it was delicious! I had the coconut milk bubble tea and it is the best I have had since I was in Toronto Canada a few years ago. Wondeful service as always.

Nice little Pho shop. Nothing earth shattering or innovative, but the broth is well developed and the restaurant is clean. The service is usually fast, as well. If you are in the vicinity this is a good lunch stop, really not worth going out of your way for.....

Why 5 Stars - Great Service, Great Prices, and Great Pho Miss Saigon Restaurant is located between 5th and 6th streets near Fruitville Rd. The staff is very friendly and the food was amazing. Their menu is like a catalog so you are sure to find something good to eat. I ordered the spring rolls and white chicken Pho #18. They also serve glasses of wine for only $3.50. The prices seem really low compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to so we will be going back soon.

I had the grilled pork chops and it was very disappointingly thin and small and 20% of the meat was bone. Even for a small eater like me, it left me still hungry! There were only 2 servers for a busy lunch hour and they were both rude! I used to like coming to this place but never again!!

We come here every time we visit the area. The atmosphere is basic, and The food is always fantastic! The owners are very hard-working and welcoming. Portions are large with excellent taste. I recommend steamed dumplings, summer rolls, and any vermicelli bowl. Thai iced tea or hot tea are good beverage choices. They have tasty fortune cookies, too.

It has been a while since I last wrote a review for Miss Saigon. During those years, I have eaten at many other Vietnamese restaurants and have gained more knowledge. While my favorite dishes at Miss Saigon remain almost the same, my appreciation for the quality of service and food has grown. Along with their rising prices, luckily, also came a rise in the quality of their food. The produce is even fresher and the interior is also cleaner. While some of the dishes are not 100% authentic, the variations are still tasty. The prime example of that being their Banh Hoi, which is supposed to have webbed noodles, but they just serve this dish with regular Bun noodles. My favorite dishes are: Bo Kho- Miss Saigon's beef stew with baguette here is cooked perfectly and packed full of star anise flavor. The broth is in fact "stewey"--- rich and thicker. I recommend this served with their crispy baguette, over the noodle variations. Miss Saigon serves the best Bo Kho I have yet to eat in my lifetime. Bun Xeo- Crispy crepe with bean sprouts, pork, and shrimp inside. Pour the fish sauce over the top and enjoy. Che Ba Mau- 3 Bean dessert with crushed ice and coconut milk. Pho Ga- Because their chicken noodle soup is actually served with chicken and in chicken broth. Goi Cuon- This fresh spring roll is mandatory when eating here, served as an appetizer. While I am not vegetarian by any means, I always ask for this roll filled with crispy tofu, instead of steamed shrimp and pork. The service here is so much better than other Vietnamese restaurants in the area. It is also nice and quiet. If you are looking for the best Vietnamese restaurants in Tampa Bay, then I recommend taking a drive over to Pinellas Park. But, if you live in Sarasota/Bradenton like me... Miss Saigon is my favorite south of the Skyway and great for a weeknight fix.

Food was good. I've had better fresh spring rolls, but they were still good. Banh mi was good, especially the bread. I've had it before and this one was a lil dry like it was missing a sauce. Pho was good, but it didn't have enough toppings like I'm use to. The prices are good too. I'd like to try the other places before coming back here.

Been craving a good Banh Mi, and fate (disguised as a visit to our CPA) brought us to the vicinity, so Miss Saigon for lunch it was. There is something so virtuously fresh and healthy-tasting about a properly made Banh Mi, all busting out with fresh vegetables (and crispy pickled ones too) and bright flavors, that one can completely ignore those (equally tasty) carbs involved in the fresh, lightly toasted french roll holding all this goodness together. Yep, we most definitely enjoyed our lunch! And if the photo of my Bahn Mi with grilled chicken (1 of 3 Bahn Mi options at Miss Saigon) is a tad out of focus, it's cuz I couldn't be bothered to make sure I got that perfect shot prior to digging in! Can you blame me?

I'm definitely not an expert when it comes to pho, pho is something in my mind that is meant to eat by taste; meaning using various condiments you can really alter the broth to your own liking. With that said I personally think the broth at Miss Saigon tastes cleaner than most viet restaurants in this area. The hu tieu, the wonton soup and especially the bun bo hue are all delicious. The restaurant itself is clean. The service isn't spectacular, but it's a husband and wife (I'm assuming) team on their own, they are always friendly and the food comes out in a timely manner. We order take out semi often, mostly on the weekends and have never waited later than were told for our food. If my boyfriend (who is 1/2 Vietnamese) and I don't cook at home we usually venture out to Miss Saigon which has become a favorite of ours! Definitely worth a try!

This was a fairly decent place, that could have been so much better. My Lady and I visited on a Tuesday evening. There was a total of six diners in the place while we were there. The service was quite good, no complaints at all. The place itself, including the washroom, was clean and shiny. My Lady had the Bun Dac Biet, and I had the Pho Dac Biet. Gotta say, I wasn't impressed. I won't review my Lady's dish, tried it, and it wasn't bad, but nothing special. The noodles were cooked properly, and that counts for something. So, major bummer, the Pho was cold. The noodles were cooked properly, and were warm enough, but the broth was just barely warm. And I do mean just barely. May have been from a combo of a cold bowl, cold ingredients, and a not-too-hot pot of broth, but whatever, it was damn near cold, and for Pho, that's unacceptable. The Pho had a decent amount of ingredients, the meats were tasty and done properly. The side-veggies consisted of a handful of sprouts, one sprig of basil, and a few slices of jalapeno. Not bad, but not too generous, and really, jalapeno? The bowl was roughly half the size of what I would typically get in Chicago, Milwaukee, Seattle, or other cities, and was a good bit smaller than the bowl of Pho I had the night before in another Sarasota place. In addition, it cost a dollar more. Bottom line, not bad, not good. Wouldn't say I would never eat there again, but I would say I wouldn't eat there again as long as the other spot I ate in in Sarasota is still open. Wish I could give it a better review-I don't like to poormouth a place like this, but damn, the hot broth thing is so basic. I've eaten Pho all over the world, from street vendors cooking with klong-water in Thailand to the States, and that is the one thing you do need to make it right.

The place was busy.. well not really. People were leaving when i got in. Yep.. got my own menu. Noone came around for 20 minutes to clear tables or take our order. Boo. When our order was finally taken, the pho and rolls arrived within 10 minutes. Nothing special about either except they were what we ordered. I have had the unpleasant exp of getting something different somewhere else in the past. Its pho. In. Out. Full. Here... in. Wait forever. Out.

Open on New Years Day. Nice looking restaurant in low key strip mall north of downtown Sarasota. We started with Goi Cuon - cold spring rolls. They were fresh but could have used some cilantro. Next we had Bahb Xeo - Vietnamese crepe with shrimp and chicken. This was very good - one of the better ones I have had. I then had the Vietnamese noodle salad with grilled chicken and egg roll. This was one of the better versions I have had - and the lettuce could not have been any fresher. My companions told me the Pho was as good as they have ever had. And the Bahn Mi was very good as well - although the baguette could have been better. Prices are a little steep for Vietnamese food. I have never paid more than 6 bucks for Pho but here we paid about $9. Very solid Vietnamese here in Sarasota. I look forward to another visit.

Wow! This place is really hyped up on Yelp and I don't get it! Atmosphere / decor is about 2 or 3 stars. Nothing special there whatsoever, but then again that's to be expected at this type of place so that's neither here nor there. Service was very friendly and inviting. Very nice people work there. Food was seriously average, and I have tried many pho / Vietnamese restaurants. We ordered the pho tai (rare beef) and the spicy lemongrass shrimp stir fry. The beef for the pho was very thick cut which defeats the concept of having the broth cook it. The soup base was good, but nothing that stood out. The stir fry had a very thick sauce and I wasn't sure why. It either had to be cornstarch or MSG, (or a combo) but either way it wasn't good wasn't spicy and and didn't belong in a stir fry. It kind of seemed like they went out of their way to please the American pallet (and missed badly) since it was thick and bland. Overall I wad disappointed considering the Yelp hyped up reviews. Ps. $4.50 for Thai Iced Tea: not cool....

OMG! First Vietnamese restaurant for me and the Hubs, and we both LOVED this place. It was recommended by a friend and it did NOT disappoint. I was so torn between the stir fry(safe I know) and one of the noodle soup bowls. We decided to get both to try and also the number 1 app platter. Everything was amazing. Next time I know I'm getting the soup and so should you because it'll change your life. Ps I docked a star because I wish they had a full bar, and the sweet and sour sauce was a little bland for my taste. All around yummy though. 4 and a Half :-).

Worst customer service. I went there at 11 35 am. I saw them cleaning and getting ready for opening. So I waited there for 5 - 10mins. Guess what they did? They turned off light and walked away. I was like what? I knocked on the door. They just gave me a look and did not care. Worst restaurant

The place for vegetarian pho and fried rice like you have NEVER had. The flavors here are light, subtle, gentle and understated...then I dump a ton of chili oil on it all and burn my sinuses out (by choice) Veggie/Tofu Pho: the broth is clear as can be and has a nice, balanced, non-sweet/non-cinnamon flavor. Veggies include broccoli, carrot, onion maybe some boc-choi and I think that is all. It is simply but great, as I sometimes hate when other restaurants put odd thing in pho like green peppers and/or celery. The fried rice was so light and, well, not seemingly fried. it wasn't greasy or burnt out. it was gentle and the veggies were chopped up small and tasty. The veggie salad rolls are really good too. The peanut sauce is not too sweet, which is nice. I see a lot of small families (mom, dad, teenage daughter and her friend), business professionals from across the street, asian families, and couples eating here. The staff is nice. There is a man who is very nice and attentive. The lady with really really short hair is nice but I think she has a hard time understanding me sometimes, which is ok. I take no offense at all. There is a younger lady who I believe told me she is Chinese. She has shoulder length hair and is also very nice. She understands me very well and even talks to me about wonderful topics like books I bring in to read, Tai Chi and what Asian countries are like. They are all very customer service oriented and easy going. I come back for them just as much for the food. The only thing I didn't like was that I thought I saw someone come in (a black female) and pushily ask to use the restroom despite her not buying anything. I believe she bullied them, and I do not like that. This is not a bad area persay, but there are some odd people around here despite the families, working class, business professionals and so on - and let's just say, I do not think she was using the bathroom for appropriate purposes. I could be wrong, but, even still. She didn't buy anything and seemed like an odd character. I urge them to stand up in their community and not be pushed around by some street thug.

Quite good Vietnamese restaurant in a little strip mall Stopped for lunch and started with a spring roll. Then we had special combo noodle soup (Pho Dac Biet) and Spicy Lemongrass Sour Soup with Seafood (Pho Hai Bi Cay). All of it was well-prepared, well-presented and lacking MSG. Service at this non-busy lunchtime was good and friendly. We'll be back.

My husband and I have been here multiple times now and are definitely regulars. I always get the rare steak pho and the spring rolls. I would love to branch out and try other items on the menu because everything sounds amazing but the pho is so freaking good I can't stop ordering it. This is a family run business and they greet us every time with smiling faces. I live coming back here time and time again.

Miss Saigon is a clean, quiet restaurant that serves excellent Vietnamese food. We've tried banh xeo, banh mi, goi cuon, pho, che ba mau, bo kho, and most of the com plates... and none of them were anything less than solid (and many were far beyond). The pho ga is especially good, which is nice, since this chicken-based pho usually plays second fiddle to the beef-based soups. Bo kho (beef stew) is also excellent. Forget downtown. For my money, Miss Saigon is the best Vietnamese in town.

I have driven past this little place many times and never thought it would be this tasty! The roast chicken is so crispy and delicious, I am already planning my trip back. Everything is fresh, the peanut sauce is perfect and I can't wait to come back try a noodle dish. Or try everything, really! Customer service was great. Perfect spot for lunch or casual dinner that's not your standard fare!

I gotta give it 5 stars. Best Vietnamese to date. I wish I lived here so I could come back... L.A. And San Fran has nothing on this place! I had the combo stir fry, shared the appetizer and the chicken noodle pho combo...

Miss Saigon was my first experience with Vietnamese food. It's really good and very reasonably priced! We have eaten in the restaurant and gotten take out and it's good either way. Definitely believe them when they say the spicy soup is spicy, though. I'm a huge fan of spice and I could barely eat my soup when I opted for spicy one day. Hot hot hot!

I went to eat at this horrible restaurant for the first time. The place had a only one talbe, it wasn't even busy and waiter took an order from me. Later on, he came out with different dish which i didn't order. So, I asked the waiter i didn't order this dish. Few minutes later one of the guy came to us and said "next time you order number **", he didn't even say sorry. I think the guy is the owner. He was really rude and he doesn't know how to treat a customers. I would never going back to this place. p.s he even curise at us.

This place is awesome. Best Phó in Sarasota by far. Super fresh everything and very nice staff. Also, the Bahn mi sandwiches are by far some of the best i've had. The folks who own this place are from Vietnam whereas most others in Sarasota serving Pho are from Taiwan, so I think it's a bit more authentic.

Came here on a weekday for lunch in August. Very prompt and courteous service and casual decor. Have come here many times for the guo cuon (fresh rolls) and bun (vermicelli with various veggies & choice of meat), and will keep coming back for these. Our only complaint is that there were no fresh herbs on the bun. Most Vietnamese places will give mint and basil to "freshen up" the dish.

The soup for the pho is amazinnnnnng. It's probably one of the soup bases I've ever tasted. It's not overly sweet and has the clear beefy flavor.

Miss Saigon has delicious soups. Not overly sweet or complex, just simple and delicious. I've come here many times over the past five years or so, and their soups just hit the spot (I usually go for a seafood rice noodle soup with chicken broth, so not the usual pho). Would definitely recommend.

Lunch is what three of us live for every day of the work week. We alternate picking where we're going to eat and he who picks must "own it". Today I picked an easy "own it" spot, Miss Saigon Restaurant. We all three went with our old standby, #46, then added the heat and loved it! We've never had a # meal(will make more sense when you see the menu) that we didn't love, not like, love. The owners are both attentive to your needs and ours and are very interested in your evauation of the meal. Eat here if you can handle diversity and don't forget to thank me. Luv ya anyways, Brett B.

This is my first time eating miss saigon restaurant. I grew up with eating and making Vietnamese food, I think I should know my (Viet food quite well). I am well traveled enough to tell if the food is not good and over price. I came because I saw the ONLINE menu with very good prices (PHO PRICE ONLINE IS $5.50-$6.95). THIS IS WHY I TAKE THE PICTURES OF THE MENU SO YOU CAN DECIDE YOURSELF. CALLED TO CONFIRMED IF THIS IS CORRECT AND THE OWER VERIFIED THE ONLINE PRICE IS CORRECT. BUT WHEN I CAME THERE THE PRICE MISTERICALLY GOES UP BY $3.50-$4.00 (DO NOT FOOL YOURSELF, PLEASE SEE YOURSELF AT THE PRICE OF THE MENU I LOADED IT IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE ONE YOU WOULD SEE THE OWNERS LOADED THEMSELVES AS BAIT TO GET YOU TO GO TO THEIR RESTAURANT! We decided to eat there because i did not want to give them a chance to prove them self. Many of the items are made up by the owner themselves such as (lemongrass sour shrimp pho soup..there is no such food! i later asked the owner and they said that just the traditional sour soup and they would add pho noodles.. WTF!). they charge too much for every items on the menu..I order the crispy noodles with seafood $11.95 and my friend order the chicken PHO $8.95. the seafood crispy noodles were not temperature hot and the sauce was very too sweet like candy and too salty like eating a plate full of salty soy sauce. the seafood extremely undercooks (that might be the reason why it was temperature hot. my friend orders the chicken pho and it was very bland. a Vietnamese BANH MI (vietnamese sub sandwich) IS $6 WTF!!!. DO YOURSELF DON'T GO THERE IS YOU WANT TO GET SCREW FOR CRAP FOOD!
