Perfectly cooked steak, which is uncommon as I usually ask for it medium and find it either too rare or to well. I was surprised that they had many healthy options on their menu as well including many fish dishes. Pleasant atmosphere, very Americana. I would return here for a steak again were I in the mood for one. Spinach dip was a delicious starter and my meal of the White cheddar and bacon stuffed filet was just perfect. To be honest I didn't expect much from this chain but enjoyed it. Would return.

Love the fact they keep a "revolving" Taste of the Season selection(s). The tried and true steaks are always perfection, and glad to see the Napa Chicken and Spinach Feta Chicken added to the "permanent" menu. Blackened Cobia w/ steamed asparagus tonight (normally comes w/ shrimp and crab Creole Rice, but they were gracious enough to grant my minimal carb request.). Yum! Normally don't frequent or review the chains, but this Longhorn's service, consistent execution from the kitchen makes it a local's favorite. Don't hesitate to have a seat at the bar or one of their high-tops if you like. The service is still outstanding, and you might make some new friends....it's just that kind of place!

Usually get a decent steak done exactly right, but this time - not so. My son ordered his sirloin medium - he got well done. My husband ordered his steak medium - he got rare. Huh? What's going on? They put my husbands back on the grill, but it wasn't that great. Nothing was done. The manager didn't even check in with us. Really wish we had gone somewhere else that night.

Actually eat at both the Gulf Gate and Fruitville Road locations and have great food and service every single time! I love their renegade sirloin steaks and bread! If you have a chocolate craving, you have to try their chocolate stampede cake! Take it home with you for later, if need be, but don't leave without it!

Very good! Enjoyed Flo's Filet. Wife had ribs, also very good. Kids had mac and cheese.

This was as good as the commercials advertised! Service was great! Food was great! Cooked to order. Just right. Call ahead, or you could wait for up to an hour for a table. Or do what we I'd and sit in the bar area, they let our kids sit in there too.

Went here for the first time on my 21st birthday. I had a grest experience. My first drink was on the house, which I thought was very nice of them. I had a pretty large group, and everyone was happy with their food. I loved the stuffed filets, awesome idea! The drinks were also on point. I had Long Island Iced Teas, and they were smooth and made right. Definitely suggest this restaurant.

Oh chain steakhouses...I am kind of ashamed to admit that I like you! Is there anything better than a steak dinner? Cold draft beer, warm bread, iceberg lettuce salad, juicy steak, and mashed potatoes? This fits the bill. My filet was cooked perfectly rare and they were able to leave the bacon off the bacon wrapped scallops. (I love bacon as much as the next person but I'd already had some that day!) I was surprised to see a puddle of melted butter (who am I kidding, no I wasn't....these kinds of places do that!) on my mashed potatoes so I wish I had known so I cold have told them to leave it off. Service was quick and friendly, we arrived at about 6:30 and were out by 7:30, just in time to go watch the sunset at Siesta Key!

Great service, much better quality then Outback. Had the Outlaw Ribeye sort of my last meal before I start my cleanse. Sides seemed to be very small though.

As Longhorn goes this one is as good as it gets. I just can't bring myself to give it 5 stars with the prices.

Food is good for a chain. Love the bread and salad and usually the staff is very nice and helpful. Not the best atmosphere!

We were initially hesitant to try this place, because the reviews were mixed. After a great day at the beach though, we had a fine meal. The bread is decent. My wife described her BBQ Chop Salad as "fantabulous". My sirloin was cooked perfectly (med-rare). It could have had a little more flavor, but was still decent. My wife's initially came out over cooked, but they were quick to replace it with one cooked properly. Her new steak had great flavor, better than mine. The mashed potatoes were pretty good, especially with all the butter they put on it. :p Our waitress, Marjorie was !!AWESOME!!, we had excellent service by her. Our drinks had refills before we asked, and she generally went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed, without being in our face all the time. We would definitely come here again if we are ever in the area again.

We've never had bad service here. Our steaks have always been cooked exactly as we have ordered. I enjoy trying new places to eat, but for a chain restaurant, LongHorn is good. We love their bread & always ask for more. The dessert sampler is big enough to share with a couple of people & you get to taste a little of everything. I love their salads and their mashed potatoes are yummy! My mom wasn't crazy about their margaritas, but she does like their food. We usually get seated quickly, too. I will say that our food has been better during dinner hours than during lunch hours.

I am giving this place a bad review because the service was mediocre, as well as the food. My husband ordered his filet medium and I ordered the New York strip medium rare, it was brought reversed, the New York strip was mostly fat and gristle. My silverware was dirty, they apologized and promptly brought a clean replacement. I was drinking Sprite and the waiter asked me if I needed more water. The only thing that was delicious was the baked potato. We were never asked if we wanted steak sauce or more bread or anything else. My recommendation to anyone thinking of trying out this place is "don't do it".

We are back on vacation and my son had a hankering for a steak. We arrived at the restaurant and the hostess said seating would take about 5-10 minutes, it was closer to 5 and we were seated promptly. Our server Sean was at the table quickly to take our drink order and get the drinks and bread working as we weren't ready to order yet. Sean took our order and returned pretty quickly with our caesar salads, our very, very dry caesar salads. I waited patiently to ask for some additional dressing. unfortunately Sean was very busy with one of his other tables (a 2 top) who he must have known because he visited them no less than 4 times without ever turning around to check on us. When he finally arrived at our table he grabbed both mine and my wife's uneaten salads and said "let me get these out of the way" and ran off before we could even ask for the extra dressing to enjoy our salads. At this point my wife knew that a less than stellar review on Yelp! was in Sean's future. Thankfully, the 2 top left and Sean returned his attention to our table. The steaks came out perfectly cooked. The "loaded" baked potato was not exactly loaded, a sprinkle of bacon bits, cheese and a dollop of sour cream. I'd call it merely a garnished baked potato, but at this point i was probably being over critical because of the pilfered salads. Sean was an exemplary server the rest of the evening, stayed on top of our waters, helped with our to go boxes. He started out weak and redeemed himself a little, but management needs to have a word with him about this. the only other thing I noticed out of whack was one of the hostesses (she had a headset on so I assumed she was a hostess) cleaned a table nearby and wiped all the crumbs from one of the tables near us, onto the bench seat of the booth and then pushed them into the space between the booth and the wall. I sure hope someone moves those booths every night and vacuums behind there, cause that's how you get ants! (nod to Archer)

Went here for NYE dinner. There was a 70 minute wait, but it was NYE, and we didn't call in early (TIP: You can't get a reservation, but you can call ahead to put your name on the list ahead of walk-ins..we didn't know that). I'm not counting that against them on a holiday. There are several bars and local places within walking distance, so we went and got a drink while we were waiting. Longhorn also has a bar, but it was a little crowded. The dinner itself was great. Typically I get Flo's filet, but this time I had the filet special (Champagne Filet), which came with lobster meat on top. The lobster was a little sparse, but the filet was excellent, as usual. The risotto was great too. I paired it with a nice Pinot Noir, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. For as packed as it was, our meal came out in a reasonable amount of time. We joked with our waiter, and he was very friendly. For a chain place, it's great. Not the best steak I've ever had in my life, but it's pretty darn good. You're also not paying $50 for your meal.

We got 2-of their house specialty "Cowboy Ribeye" steaks. Both medium rare. Both were inedible at best. We each only ate about 1/2 the steak as they tasted burnt. Told the waitress, she said they're the best steak, told the Manager, a young woman, she said I'm sorry, I'll have the cooks check the grill, maybe they didn't clean the grill and it charred - which is WHAT OUR STEAK TASTED LIKE - BURNT CHARCOAL! So, after that in depth explanation about that, the Manager turned and walked away. Drinks and dinner for 2-was around $85.00. No comp/discount/apology or offer to replace the bad steaks with a good one. You won't see us again. PLENTY of steakhouses we go to all the time in our area that are awesome, Outback being one of them. Why we decided to waste our money at LongHorn that one Thursday night is beyond me. Corporate, tasteless meal with below average service and poor Management. Place was busy, but not full. The only reason for the 2nd star is because the beer was ICE COLD. Everything else was 1-star all the way!

A GREAT STEAK EVERY TIME!! This time, I tried a different location. Once again, there's no better steak than a Longhorn steak I tried so far!! I truly love their spices and the way the steaks are cooked. Taking and treating my mom for her birthday with a huge steak is always a win win for us all! Their sides are also delicious. Next time, I will try their 30 oz Porterhouse steak! :)
