This place has some of the best cupcakes that I have ever eaten! There are two locations, one on Ocean Blvd. and one on Gateway Ave. We went to the Ocean Blvd. location. My first cupcake, and also my favorite, was "Peanut Butter in Paradise" which was a moist chocolate cake with a light whipped peanut butter frosting swirl. We went back the next day for more, but the had sold out of that flavor, so I recommend going earlier rather than later for the best selection. I was a little disappointed but consoled myself with the "Cuckoo for Coconut" cupcake with coconut cake, buttercream frosting and a sprinkle of coconut on top. Delicious & moist! I also took home a "Saratoga Sisters" cupcake which was a vanilla cake with milk chocolate icing. Also declicious and moist. I liked that the frostings were all light and not too heavy or overly sweet. The place is small with one small table with a couple of chairs inside and patio seatin for about 4-5 people outside.

Super delicious! Went about a month ago with my son and husband. And the carrot cake one was by far my favorite, but I am a carrot cake girl lover. Must stop by and try!

Love this place! Amazing food and as someone who adheres to a Paleo diet, I was able to have an amazing wedding because of her establishment. The food is top quality, great prices and the desserts are beyond excellent. Every week she has a little something extra for the paleo and gluten free customers as well which is so helpful to people with food allergies. My husband eats the regular (with grains) cupcakes and absolutely loves the buttercream frosting and his personal fav is the key lime pie cupcake which he can't get enough. Top notch!

I ordered two dozen cupcakes for my husbands birthday and had them delivered to his work. They were a huge hit! He brought home a few for me to try, the cupcakes are amazing! Moist flavorful cake and delicious frosting in the right proportion. They are also very nicely decorated. I will definitely order from here again! Thank you, Heavenly Cupcakes.

Okay coming from upstate ny where we have a cupcake war's winner in our community. I have to say heavenly cupcakes beats them, first it's a cupcake not a mini cake with a ton of frosting. Second from the first bite of your cupcake has a flavor you taste from the start. I enjoyed the lemon flavored one and it was a great, I know the old adage a cold cake taste like old cake so let them get to room temp. The frosting was sweet but not overly sweet and stood the test of being in the car ride home( meaning it didn't slide off the cake). I will most likely go back and get more!

So we arrived about an hour before they closed on NYE so the selection was lacking...but that's on us. It was my birthday and I had made my husband drive around town looking for cupcakes. So we entered sight unseen...never heard of the place. We were there because they were open... but WOW...excellent cupcakes. The frosting and cake are paired so well. Frosting is sweet but not too sweet. Perfect. We tried the COTD and the key lime...both were delicious. We'll be back...but earlier in the day. :)

Heavenly Cupcakes are heavenly in every way. Since I also make cupcakes, I am super critical, but; The cake is light and moist, are usually filled with some sort of delicious concoction, and the icing is smooth-creamy-magical. Flavors are assorted from fantastic to amazing, with my favorite being the simple Wedding Cake recipe. I just wish that they were open 24 hours a day, instead of just regular business hours. Located in the Gulf Gate plaza, along with many other cool businesses--- Gulf Gate is just the place to be, day or night.

Just stopped in today and picked up two cupcakes: the cupcake of the month (blueberry/strawberry) and the Rudy (a carrot cake cupcake w/ cream cheese icing). Since the berry cupcake was for hubs, I didn't try it, but he definitely scarfed it down in about a minute and a half - too quick for me to even take a nibble! He commented the cake tasted really moist and fresh, and the berries were bursting with flavor. I really enjoyed the Rudy - it was dense, with pieces of shredded carrot, coconut and walnuts, just how I like it! The frosting was thick, but not overbearing and I thought it was very complementary together. I got a cupcake punch card so I am sure I will be back to try some more specials soon :) They also offer GF and paleo options, so I might check out those next.

Very very good cupcakes and gobs. If you plan on shipping them to someone for a birthday, please don't. They arrived crumbled and smashed. When a call was placed to ask if anything could be done, I was told that that's the luck of the draw. How rude! Also, shipping was $30.00 for a $75.00 order. Very unhappy with the service and the fact that nothing was done is worse. I will not order again. There are other places where customer service is valued and the quality is as good.

Happy to say that all the cupcakes I had this time were just about perfect - the Cuckoo for Coconut was super moist and the coconut flavor was not overwhelming, but just right. Love Ya Dolly was just as good as I remembered it! And OMG...their "flavor of the month" for June is Dreamsicle - orange cake w/ your choice of vanilla or chocolate buttercream. It is amazing. I had it with chocolate frosting and it reminded me of the chocolate orange candy I get in my stocking at Christmas every year! I would love to see this as a permanent addition to their menu! $2.50 (plus tax...why do they tax everything down here in FL???) is a tad on the high side if you ask me; one of the best places in NYC around the corner from me charges $2.25/cupcake. Will definitely be back!

i attended a wedding last week on Siesta Key and they had a display of cupcakes on a wedding cake shaped display instead of a traditional wedding cake. The baker was Heavenly Cupcakes. The cupcakes were very moist, a great butter cream frosting and all around a much better experience than some of the wedding cakes I've had. They did a great job for this wedding and cupcakes are the way to go if you want to offer guests a selection of flavors to make everyone happy.

Just posted a review for a cupcakery in Olympia, WA, which just blew me away when i was there for a business trip. But I do want to acknowledge the very fine cupcakes here in my hometown. Heavenly Cupcakes are really great and I always try to stop by the Siesta Key location for the cupcake of the week. Those folks in Olympia were runners-up on Cupcake Wars, and i sure hope our own Sarasota folks get their shot on the program sometime soon.

Fell in love with this place while visiting Sarasota. I got the red velvet for myself and a vanilla for my toddler. We both sat there and enjoyed our cupcakes while my husband sat and watched :)) he's on a diet. The owner was very sweet and helpful. Also gave us tips on the area and places to visit. It's just too bad that we discovered this place a day before we were leaving, but we plan to go back to Sarasota, so this will be one of our stops.

Update... since Heavenly Cupcakes added cakes to the lineup, we ordered one for a baby shower we were having for a family member. The baby bump cake was such a hit and couldn't have been more perfect. They make the most creative items... we look forward to having more events just to have fun desserts!

OMG! I just stumbled on the cutest website for My Heavenly Cupcakes. I live in TX but I decided to give this place a try. I ordered a dozen of assorted whoopie pies for a party and they arrived in only two days! My favorites were the Rudy (carrot cake) and the Cuckoo for Coconut. Delicous! I will be ordering from this place again. They were even shipped with freezer bags to keep them in perfect condition. Two thumbs up!!

We stopped in while on vacation over the Thanksgiving holiday. We tried the Double Stuff (Cookies and Cream / Oreo), Mama's Most Delicious (chocolate cake / chocolate icing), and Saratoga Sisters (vanilla cake / chocolate icing). My favorite was Mama's Most Delicious but none really stood out given the price ($2.50 each). Here Come's the Bride seems to be the most popular (sold out during our visit) so we'll have to try again during our next visit. Overall, I'd give the cake portion 2 stars and the icing 4 stars for those we tried. While the prices aren't much higher than other specialty cupcake shops (they seem to be everywhere these days), $2.50 does make them more of a special treat rather than something you'd enjoy frequently. We'll certainly give them another visit next time we're in town.

We love these cupcakes. Huge variety and offerings change frequently. The owner is very nice and very helpful when you can't decide which to try because you'd like to try them all. We probably got them 5 or 6 times during our 5 week stay on Siesta Key. Try them, you'll love them!

This place is so unoriginal. I can't believe people go nuts over this place. A white cupcake with chocolate icing? Come on. Put some creativity into, please! I would rather get my calories from something else. If you have enough to open a cupcake shop --put some work into it. Bring us some original, creative, fun, thought-provoking, delicious cupcakes. NEEDS WORK!!!!!!!!!!!

We were a long distance couple from Los Angeles getting married in Sarasota. I work in catering so I see at least one wedding a week. Wedding cake can really be hit or miss. Usually it looks better than it tastes. So, from the beginning, we knew we preferred cupcakes over cake. You can have a variety of flavors and let people choose, which is way more fun and delicious for everyone! Heavenly Cupcakes are SO moist and delicious. The frosting is incredible! We chose to have 4 different flavors: Here Comes the Bride, Mama's Most Delicious, Red Velvet, and our personal favorite - Mint Chocolate Chip! We ordered more than we needed and our guests devoured all of them because they are that good! Many of them happily bragged to us about how they ate 2 or 3 cupcakes, so they were a huge hit! My husband and I actually smuggled a couple to St. Lucia with us to enjoy on our honeymoon. Even after a few days they were still moist, fresh and delicious! Jacquelyn was so helpful and easy to work with. We highly recommend Heavenly Cupcakes!!!
