I am gluten-free by necessity and vegetarian by choice, so I'm a bit of a restaurant nightmare. Eat Here had plenty of options that suited my dietary restrictions. The kale salad starter was delicious, chopped fine making it easy to eat. I shared the garlic potato chips, which were warm and addictive served with a tasty blue cheese sauce. My entree was the roasted fireside vegetables. Everything was beautiful and cooked well. There was a lot of color on my plate, and the veggies had the perfect hint of flavor and char. My carnivorous family had pot roast and ribs, both of which smelled wonderful (I'm a vegetarian but I'm not crazy - meat still smells good!). I was told the ribs were great and the pot roast was decent. We were there over spring break, so it was very busy, but we didn't wait overly long for our meals and we were able to be seated much sooner than anticipated. The food is a bit pricier than I'd like for a family meal, but none of us left hungry. My husband ordered a cocktail, but it was mostly ice. I stuck with the glass of wine I got for free for checking in on Yelp. :P I would definitely go back!
Started with great appetizers and cocktails. Didn't have to wait too long for a walk in table of 7, and Jackie was way cool to have as a server. Bacon grilled cheese did not disappoint!!

STAY AWAY! Unless you like being insulted. I showed up with 11 people and it was made quite clear they didn't want us there. We walked in to a half empty restaurant. I had always wondered about this place and never tried it. We had heard around town that it was a little "stuck up" and they are right. This is a beach town. We were wearing tank tops and flip flops. If you don't want people like this at your restaurant then you won't be in business long. The host told me they couldn't accommodate 11 people. I then told him that he could split us up anyway he needed to and he said he still couldn't take us!!!!! The place was half empty!!!! No one waiting outside!!!!! My wife even said what about all these empty tables and was told they are closing them! Well let me tell you my $546.14 that we spent on dinner down the road you didn't get and never will. Eat here? Eat this!!!!

My favorite dinner place in Siesata Key! Poutine appetizer was generous (great value for Happy Hour) & $5 happy hour wines from 5:00-6:30. The sausage flatbread pizza was very good, not dry like most flatbread pizzas. And the fine chopped kale salad was incredible with a very flavorful champagne vinaigrette - very hearty & filling for a salad. The vanilla creme brulee was out-of-this-world delicious. Great flavor and texture juxtapositions. The indoor ambiance looked gorgeous, but we sat outside at the high-top tables and enjoyed the warm weather before heading across the street for dessert #2 at SubZero (another Must Eat place).

Best place to eat on Siesta Key! We had the bruescetta for a starter, which was served with lovely San Marzano tomatoes and olive salad.....delicious! My husband had shrimp and lobster tacos that he said were the best he had ever tasted. I had a pan seared shrimp dish served in a white wine and rosemary sauce over a bed of super tasty mashed potatoes. Service was great! Too bad we hadn't found this place earlier in the week. 5 stars!!!!!!!!!!!

Good service, the food was fine, and decent drinks. Our appetizer, the garlic toast, was good. The entrees were good. The service was good. The limeade was good. The alcohol was good. Everything about this place was good. Not bad, not great. My only problem was that they brought out my meal later than the others. They warned us that this was their style--bringing the food when it's ready--but I felt uncomfortable sitting there without food while everyone else had food. But it came out quickly. This only lasted about 3 minutes.

Start to finish deliciousness! Chopped kale salad is all kale yumminess - identical to a wonderful treat at kafe Leopold in Georgetown DC. Tart and studded with almonds currants and nutty Parmesan cheese. I had the "big night out" surf and turf - perfectly cooked medium rare filet mignon and succulent gulf coast shrimp. Add in some arugula and mashed potatoes and I was in almost-licking-the-plate heaven. Great bartender and am still anticipating the dessert. A great, classy choice on the Key filled with mediocre options. :)

Great food! Awesome addition to the restaurant offerings in Siesta Key. I had the Mahi Mahi tacos and the Kale side salad and loved it. Best seafood tacos I have had on the Key. The tacos are a serving of two, but it was the perfect portion with the appetizers we shared and the Kale side salad I ate. We tried the Bruchetta (absolutely awesome), Garlic Kettle Chips (Satisfactory) and the Poutine (Satisfactory). Would definitely eat here again. We had a large party of 17 and the restaurant accommodated us last minute and sat us at two table near one another. I think it helped that we ate here on a Tuesday night and it wasn't very crowded, but the service to get us seated together was still appreciated. The children sat at one table and adults at another. Our server Ann, treated both the "kids" table and the adults with respect and the utmost courtesy. I only have two small complaints, the first is that the bartender made my dad's gin martini and added soda water (who does that!) and we were made to feel a bit guilty upon checking in for our reservation because we initially made 3 separate reservations on Open Table and the "hostess" called us "tricky" when we were only trying to make it easier for them.

Dined at eat here for the first time this evening and had an absolutely amazing experience. I started with the serendipitous salad, and it was absolutely amazing! I start with a salad everywhere i go and this was quite possibly the best I've ever had! Lobster and shrimp tacos and filet were some of the best ive ever had. Cudos to the chef! Our server, Jake, was also fantastic. Very accomodating and professional yet friendly. He really put the cherry on top of this dining experience. I will be back very soon!

I would have given this restaurant four stars if it were not for the botched pacing of the meal. To me, there is no excuse for your entree to arrive when you are in the middle of eating the appetizer. We run into this far too often, and we have learned to hold the waiters at bay by telling them we are still deciding on the entree. This time, we let our guard down, and voila, there are the hot entrees. Advice--if you have a waiter who asks too quickly if you are ready to order, say no (unless of course you are ready.) The food, however, was very good. I had the blackened mahi tacos, and they were delicious. Generous amount of mahi, too. We had the hickory smoked fish dip as an app, and it was very tasty, served with a terrific toast point that they make in-house. My wife had the grilled Amberjack fish, and consumed every bit. The drinks were really good. I had a classic martini (served ice cold) and my wife had a pineapple/pomegranate martini which she really liked. The atmosphere was nice. Tables were well-spaced, and the dining room large. I recommend the restaurant, but hold off the waiter if you want a relaxed, properly paced meal.

We ate here last winter and it was great. This year is ok but seems to have slipped a bit. Still, it has great comfort food. The grilled cheese is very good and if you want to be real bad have the Heart Attack Hot Dog! A deep fried bacon wrapped dog with bernaise sauce. WOW very good yet very bad if you know what I mean. We also ate a fish dish that was way undercooked and the kitchen screwed up the the requests, like sauce on the side and no berries on the salad. We will go back but probably just for lunch but that is about it.

Eat here. Seriously! You'll be treated to a friendly staff with quick, courteous service. You can have a fantastic cocktail while you await your meal, which will be as fresh as possible and cooked to perfection. Everything is fresh and made in house, from the bread to the delicious, ice cold water they leave at your table. We had poutine and shrimpcargots for starters, and both were amazing. The poutine was nice and crispy with a delicious rich gravy, and the shrimpcargots were an equal delight with their little shrimp on hot beds of collards and bacon- perfect to dip that fresh bread in. Main course was just superb. I had the Big Night Out- which was surf and turf with a generous center-cut filet cooked just as rare as I'd dreamed, smothered in the same savoury gravy as the poutine. The shrimp were plump and tender, crowning a pile of some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. My date had the gulf coast seafood stew, which was a treasure in its own right. The seafood was (like everything else we ate- notice the trend?!) incredibly fresh and tasty with a bold zuppa broth. This was my first visit to Eat Here, and after my experience I'm certain it won't be my last.

Terrible name, clueless waitstaff and manager, sub-par food, and all at a price that they will tell you is a big discount from their more well-known and fancier restaurant. "We are owned by the most famous restaurant blah blah blah but this one is more affordable". Oh gee thanks for making me feel like I can't afford a good restaurant. Oh and by the way if you like kale, don't order the kale salad because there is hardly any kale on it. Sorry to say I gave this place a 4th chance. We live on the key, so decided to give them another try. 1st off all the restaurants on the key were full so we were seated immediately. This should have been an indication of the food. My daughter ordered the tomato soup that was so sweet, she couldn't finish after a few spoonfuls. I ordered the fish which was ok, it came with some baked corn dish that I sent back because it was so dry and disgusting. Last but not least, my husband ordered chicken that they ran out of. Needless to say , e didn't eat. I am so sorry this restaurant is taking up a valuable space on the key.

I may never know if this place is any good. We tried to go to dinner here a little over an hour before they closed. The menu looked good and we had talked about going here all day at the beach. It is very nice inside, good atmosphere. I thought an hour before close was enough time, but apparently not. Hostess seemed surprised when we walked in, as if we were there for something other than dinner. She was nice and sat us quickly. Only one other table of customers at the time. Hostess brought water and said a waitress would be taking care of us. Well after sitting there about 10 minutes, no waitress. They had employees everywhere we looked, but none actually decided to wait on our table. Decided to leave and find something else. I have only walked out of 2 places my entire life so this is not common for me, I like to give everyone a chance. There is no excuse to leave a table in a near empty restaurant sitting for 10 minutes with now empty water glasses. I did like the setup and the water was refreshing....2 stars.
Called ahead for reservations at 8:30 and our table was ready upon arrival, with quite a few empty ones to spare. So noise level was perfect, with only one gripe. (There's only two issues I had, thus only 4 stars:) The background music was just bizarre. It sounded almost like there was an acoustic guitar player right IN the restaurant but hidden behind a curtain or something. I'd be hiding too, considering there was more clacking and banging on the guitar than actual strumming. Totally odd choice of music! Secondly, vegetarian options are limited, vegan options are...one. My mom had the grilled veggie plate which although tasty was a little uninspired. Seems like there's a little more that could be done for a vegan. Anyway. My moms boyfriend had the iceberg salad which I think is a weird little salad concept I've only seen in the south. He also got the veggie pizza which he devoured. And French fries, which I didn't have any, but they were the thin and crispy kind I like. I got the bruschetta without the olive stuff (ew, olives are nasty.) and I really enjoyed it! Bread was yummy and the pesto and tomato mix quite tasty. I also got the tomato soup without the blue cheese. Although I did notice a couple spoonfuls that seemed to have a cheesy texture. Did the kitchen miss that modification and then just snatch them off? Who knows, who cares, it was very good tomato soup. I was stuffed. Wish we had room for dessert but no. We had the Sauvignon blanc that was a little too grassy. I typically enjoy a New Zealand SB and it was ok but I'd choose the other bottle next time. Ambiance and decor was spot on, really enjoyed the colors and lighting inside. Service was friendly and courteous without being overbearing. I didn't mind the pacing (the food comes out as it is ready, so not all meals come at once.) It was an enjoyable experience. I'd definitely go back. I forgot to mention the best part: Chris, our server, was super cute. :)

We had dinner at Eat Here last evening 2/11/14. The overall ambience is nice, but that was about the only positive in our experience there. In a nutshell, Bad Attitude and Poor customer service by the restaurant Manager and the wait staff. Thee food took forever to come out and they brought each of our dinners separately at least 5 minutes apart, so the diner who got his dinner first, sat for 10 minutes while it got cold until we all had our dinners. The waitress never checked on us much and placed our meals and drinks on the table as she raced by. By 7pm, Eat Here was out of many specials and this was a Tuesday evening--Not good preparation on their part. The waitress told us, "Don't blame me, I don't own the place!" Wow..... When we spoke to the manager on the way out, he became more and more defensive and continued blaming the wait staff. As far as we were concerned, they all threw each other under the bus instead of helping to make the situation better. The food was mediocre & there are many other great restaurants in the Village, like The Lobster Pot, BlueCue and Bonjour. Overrated and overpriced....Don't Bother!

I had to say, I was really skeptical of anything in Siesta Key actually being good, but this place was lovely! To begin with, the hostess seated our group of 7 within a half hour on a Friday night, which I found totally reasonable. Our server, Jackie, was fabulous all night, answering all questions, obliging all requests, and happily giving us all the free glass of wine we received from our yelp check-in. We started out with the poutine appetizer, which tasted great, but as a poutine purist, I didn't find to be exactly authentic (I'm snobby about my cheese curds, sorry). The entree menu looked awesome and I had a tough time deciding, but ultimately settled on the mussels. I swapped out my frites for bread for no additional cost or hassle. They tasted great! I was pleasantly surprised by the service, food, and overall quality of this restaurant.

The boys loved making their own pizza and we thought the appetizers (beet and bruschetta) were pretty darned good. A group of four of us just returned from dinner here. It was a slow night and we were seated right away. After taking and delivering our drink orders our server asked if we wanted to order any appetizers. We ordered three to share and they came to the table fairly quickly. A few minutes into eating our appetizers our server came by asked if we would like to place our dinner orders. However " I won't put it in now." In the space of less than 10 minutes our dinners arrived! We had just started on our appetizers and there was literally barely enough room to put our entrees on the table. Feeling rushed is a gross understatement. To be fair the food was good but for semi "fine dining" we all feel that the service and kitchen was sub par.

I came to Eat here in a very serendipitous way. I had gone for a beach day around memorial day to siesta keys, aka the most beautiful beach in america according to some. Of course the day was spent 1.5 hour looking for parking and several hour baking in the sun to a glorious tan. After packing all of our gear, we had wanted to eat before our drive home. So I yelped a few places, but parking was once again a nightmare. I decided to take a back road and get the H out of there, and while we were still deciding if we should "eat here" or "go back home and eat" we found ourselves at a crossroad facing this restaurant. so I thought it was a sign and went in. Exhausted from a day in the sun and covered in sand, we entered. Do we have a reservation? haha no, I didn't even know you existed until 5 minutes ago! Service was good, the grilled cheese was the best I've ever tasted. I had a lackluster fish tacos and wished I'd gotten the grilled cheese. I can't speak for the rest of the menu. I had really wanted creme brulee but there was none when we went. the decor is cute but not over the top, and it's right across the street from a place that makes nitrogen ice cream. so it's a win-win.

Really enjoyed the restaurant's branding and would have bought a t-shirt on the way out had the experience been better. Server heavily recommended the "8oz Salmon Special" multiple times. Being hungry, I asked him if it was actually 8 ounces and he assured me it was. When my food came, the salmon was about a 4 inch square on an enormous plate. The "Everything Salad" that accompanied it was exceptionally small as well. After questioning our server about the size discrepancy, he walked away unapologetic. After finishing my meal, our waiter came back and said that, after double-checking, the special was only 6 ounces. We were given no price adjustment and no apology. In summary, it seemed what was "special" about it was that it was twice as profitable to them as the standard salmon dish.

We are longtime visitors to the key. This trip we pledged to try all new places. Our 3 boys were tired but the food came quickly and to perfection. The staff recommendations were spot on. We tried the garlic chips as an appetizer. My wife had salmon, I had the surf and turf (filet and shrimp) my kids had shrimp(2) and pizza. All the meals were cooked perfectly. Tried this place for the first time after some friends had raved about it. Not impressed by any of the items we tried including the pizza with sausage, bouillabaisse, and muscles. After asking the waiter what the most popular item on the menu was - he told us, "the beets"?! When they arrived we were surprised to find that they were battered and deep-fried which is usually a good thing - but they were disappointing and tasteless. We actually had to season them with table salt. I guess after all the hype our hopes had been set pretty high for Eat Here. If we go back we'll have to try the lobster tacos which seem to be everyones top pick.

I am vegan and heard they were very accommodating, so we went to check it out. Our server made sure to find out all vegan options for me. I had a delicious quinoa salad that had almonds, apricots, beans, and more, along with a kale salad that had a light dressing and almonds and currants. We split an order of roasted veggies, consisting of beets, carrots, potatoes, onion, whole garlic cloves, green beans and a side of warm arugula. It was all so good, and the server was just so nice. Gourmet quality with calm beach casualness. Best fried oysters of our life. Lots of interesting options, in small or large plates, with sharing encouraged. The Caesar salad was not as special as other items, but that's a minor quibble. Food arrives when ready - hot and perfect, on heated plates. It's great to have a fine casually elegant experience just steps away from the SKOB bar scene of Siesta Village. We will be back. Great option for taking our out of town visitors and surprising them with superb food.

Probably the best restaurant in the village. The happy/hour small plates menu is great. Do yourself a favor and try the appropriately named heart attack hot dog or the pig pizza. You won't regret it.

I am gluten-free by necessity and vegetarian by choice, so I'm a bit of a restaurant nightmare. Eat Here had plenty of options that suited my dietary restrictions. The kale salad starter was delicious, chopped fine making it easy to eat. I shared the garlic potato chips, which were warm and addictive served with a tasty blue cheese sauce. My entree was the roasted fireside vegetables. Everything was beautiful and cooked well. There was a lot of color on my plate, and the veggies had the perfect hint of flavor and char. My carnivorous family had pot roast and ribs, both of which smelled wonderful (I'm a vegetarian but I'm not crazy - meat still smells good!). I was told the ribs were great and the pot roast was decent. We were there over spring break, so it was very busy, but we didn't wait overly long for our meals and we were able to be seated much sooner than anticipated. The food is a bit pricier than I'd like for a family meal, but none of us left hungry. My husband ordered a cocktail, but it was mostly ice. I stuck with the glass of wine I got for free for checking in on Yelp. :P I would definitely go back!

You've got to try it! Excellent food, excellent service! Hubby had the veal meatloaf and I the fish of the day, Cobia. Superb! Substituted the kale for the potatoes and it was excellent. Creme Brûlée for dessert - Splendid! Hope to come again before we leave!

STAY AWAY! Unless you like being insulted. I showed up with 11 people and it was made quite clear they didn't want us there. We walked in to a half empty restaurant. I had always wondered about this place and never tried it. We had heard around town that it was a little "stuck up" and they are right. This is a beach town. We were wearing tank tops and flip flops. If you don't want people like this at your restaurant then you won't be in business long. The host told me they couldn't accommodate 11 people. I then told him that he could split us up anyway he needed to and he said he still couldn't take us!!!!! The place was half empty!!!! No one waiting outside!!!!! My wife even said what about all these empty tables and was told they are closing them! Well let me tell you my $546.14 that we spent on dinner down the road you didn't get and never will. Eat here? Eat this!!!!

My favorite dinner place in Siesata Key! Poutine appetizer was generous (great value for Happy Hour) & $5 happy hour wines from 5:00-6:30. The sausage flatbread pizza was very good, not dry like most flatbread pizzas. And the fine chopped kale salad was incredible with a very flavorful champagne vinaigrette - very hearty & filling for a salad. The vanilla creme brulee was out-of-this-world delicious. Great flavor and texture juxtapositions. The indoor ambiance looked gorgeous, but we sat outside at the high-top tables and enjoyed the warm weather before heading across the street for dessert #2 at SubZero (another Must Eat place).

This place has tons of options for vegetarians. We ordered way to much food. The Mediterranean hummus, pesto, roasted red pepper and tapenade appetizer was addictive. The menu changes which is great for diversity and trying new and different things. Everything was fresh and cooked perfect. Oh and the cocktails there, yummy! Great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff.

Best place to eat on Siesta Key! We had the bruescetta for a starter, which was served with lovely San Marzano tomatoes and olive salad.....delicious! My husband had shrimp and lobster tacos that he said were the best he had ever tasted. I had a pan seared shrimp dish served in a white wine and rosemary sauce over a bed of super tasty mashed potatoes. Service was great! Too bad we hadn't found this place earlier in the week. 5 stars!!!!!!!!!!!

Good service, the food was fine, and decent drinks. Our appetizer, the garlic toast, was good. The entrees were good. The service was good. The limeade was good. The alcohol was good. Everything about this place was good. Not bad, not great. My only problem was that they brought out my meal later than the others. They warned us that this was their style--bringing the food when it's ready--but I felt uncomfortable sitting there without food while everyone else had food. But it came out quickly. This only lasted about 3 minutes.

A great option for upscale casual dinning in the Key! Some great menu options with both hearty comfort food (meat loaf and pot roast!) to excellent seafood ( shrimp and Scottish salmon. We enjoyed the titanic wedge and poutine appetizers as well.

Start to finish deliciousness! Chopped kale salad is all kale yumminess - identical to a wonderful treat at kafe Leopold in Georgetown DC. Tart and studded with almonds currants and nutty Parmesan cheese. I had the "big night out" surf and turf - perfectly cooked medium rare filet mignon and succulent gulf coast shrimp. Add in some arugula and mashed potatoes and I was in almost-licking-the-plate heaven. Great bartender and am still anticipating the dessert. A great, classy choice on the Key filled with mediocre options. :)

Great food! Awesome addition to the restaurant offerings in Siesta Key. I had the Mahi Mahi tacos and the Kale side salad and loved it. Best seafood tacos I have had on the Key. The tacos are a serving of two, but it was the perfect portion with the appetizers we shared and the Kale side salad I ate. We tried the Bruchetta (absolutely awesome), Garlic Kettle Chips (Satisfactory) and the Poutine (Satisfactory). Would definitely eat here again. We had a large party of 17 and the restaurant accommodated us last minute and sat us at two table near one another. I think it helped that we ate here on a Tuesday night and it wasn't very crowded, but the service to get us seated together was still appreciated. The children sat at one table and adults at another. Our server Ann, treated both the "kids" table and the adults with respect and the utmost courtesy. I only have two small complaints, the first is that the bartender made my dad's gin martini and added soda water (who does that!) and we were made to feel a bit guilty upon checking in for our reservation because we initially made 3 separate reservations on Open Table and the "hostess" called us "tricky" when we were only trying to make it easier for them.

Realy enjoyed this place. Have been coming to Siesta for years but took a couple of years off. Ran across Eat Here while looking for parking. Had the Swordfish and Lisa had Chicken. They had a great preparation on Root Vegetables as a side dish. Good service and atmosphere.

Dined at eat here for the first time this evening and had an absolutely amazing experience. I started with the serendipitous salad, and it was absolutely amazing! I start with a salad everywhere i go and this was quite possibly the best I've ever had! Lobster and shrimp tacos and filet were some of the best ive ever had. Cudos to the chef! Our server, Jake, was also fantastic. Very accomodating and professional yet friendly. He really put the cherry on top of this dining experience. I will be back very soon!

I would have given this restaurant four stars if it were not for the botched pacing of the meal. To me, there is no excuse for your entree to arrive when you are in the middle of eating the appetizer. We run into this far too often, and we have learned to hold the waiters at bay by telling them we are still deciding on the entree. This time, we let our guard down, and voila, there are the hot entrees. Advice--if you have a waiter who asks too quickly if you are ready to order, say no (unless of course you are ready.) The food, however, was very good. I had the blackened mahi tacos, and they were delicious. Generous amount of mahi, too. We had the hickory smoked fish dip as an app, and it was very tasty, served with a terrific toast point that they make in-house. My wife had the grilled Amberjack fish, and consumed every bit. The drinks were really good. I had a classic martini (served ice cold) and my wife had a pineapple/pomegranate martini which she really liked. The atmosphere was nice. Tables were well-spaced, and the dining room large. I recommend the restaurant, but hold off the waiter if you want a relaxed, properly paced meal.

We ate here last winter and it was great. This year is ok but seems to have slipped a bit. Still, it has great comfort food. The grilled cheese is very good and if you want to be real bad have the Heart Attack Hot Dog! A deep fried bacon wrapped dog with bernaise sauce. WOW very good yet very bad if you know what I mean. We also ate a fish dish that was way undercooked and the kitchen screwed up the the requests, like sauce on the side and no berries on the salad. We will go back but probably just for lunch but that is about it.

Eat here. Seriously! You'll be treated to a friendly staff with quick, courteous service. You can have a fantastic cocktail while you await your meal, which will be as fresh as possible and cooked to perfection. Everything is fresh and made in house, from the bread to the delicious, ice cold water they leave at your table. We had poutine and shrimpcargots for starters, and both were amazing. The poutine was nice and crispy with a delicious rich gravy, and the shrimpcargots were an equal delight with their little shrimp on hot beds of collards and bacon- perfect to dip that fresh bread in. Main course was just superb. I had the Big Night Out- which was surf and turf with a generous center-cut filet cooked just as rare as I'd dreamed, smothered in the same savoury gravy as the poutine. The shrimp were plump and tender, crowning a pile of some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. My date had the gulf coast seafood stew, which was a treasure in its own right. The seafood was (like everything else we ate- notice the trend?!) incredibly fresh and tasty with a bold zuppa broth. This was my first visit to Eat Here, and after my experience I'm certain it won't be my last.

Went here a few days ago and everybody enjoyed their meal. I had the special which was the pork shank. It was divine. The kids grilled cheese was delicious. As an appetizer we had the homemade chips with blue cheese and the poutine. Both were delicious but the poutine is some of the best I have ever had. Next time I am making the poutine my main course with a little side salad. I will definitely be back.

Service was good. Food was different bit good. I had the beets for an app. They could have been cut smaller and dusted with powdered sugar and served with a ricotta dip for dessert. They were too much food for an app. The heart attack dog was very salty. The squid taco was tasty but could have used a little less dressing. The squid was soooo tender. We will be back !!

It seems as if someone who never even worked in a restaurant decided to open one. Terrible name, clueless waitstaff and manager, sub-par food, and all at a price that they will tell you is a big discount from their more well-known and fancier restaurant. "We are owned by the most famous restaurant blah blah blah but this one is more affordable". Oh gee thanks for making me feel like I can't afford a good restaurant. Oh and by the way if you like kale, don't order the kale salad because there is hardly any kale on it. I asked for more kale since that's what I ordered and they said they would have to charge $1.00 extra. What? A dollar? Why even charge anything? Idiots.

Sorry to say I gave this place a 4th chance. We live on the key, so decided to give them another try. 1st off all the restaurants on the key were full so we were seated immediately. This should have been an indication of the food. My daughter ordered the tomato soup that was so sweet, she couldn't finish after a few spoonfuls. I ordered the fish which was ok, it came with some baked corn dish that I sent back because it was so dry and disgusting. Last but not least, my husband ordered chicken that they ran out of. Needless to say , e didn't eat. I am so sorry this restaurant is taking up a valuable space on the key.

I may never know if this place is any good. We tried to go to dinner here a little over an hour before they closed. The menu looked good and we had talked about going here all day at the beach. It is very nice inside, good atmosphere. I thought an hour before close was enough time, but apparently not. Hostess seemed surprised when we walked in, as if we were there for something other than dinner. She was nice and sat us quickly. Only one other table of customers at the time. Hostess brought water and said a waitress would be taking care of us. Well after sitting there about 10 minutes, no waitress. They had employees everywhere we looked, but none actually decided to wait on our table. Decided to leave and find something else. I have only walked out of 2 places my entire life so this is not common for me, I like to give everyone a chance. There is no excuse to leave a table in a near empty restaurant sitting for 10 minutes with now empty water glasses. I did like the setup and the water was refreshing....2 stars.

In Siesta key entire week, ate at most of the in town eateries and this is the best place in town. Off main drag , but this place real deal liked the smaller portion dinners and they are into green earth , fresh fish from USA fisherman local caught. No Asia import shrimp or seafood. Had the fresh grouper , first wood oven baked then sautéed .....best ever eaten, both my wife and myself loved it. If you are not into seafood , kids had pizzas, our friends had the pot roast.... Heavenly. Prices great for what other places charging for half the taste and selection. We are going back to the key in October , this will be first stop and maybe our dinner place all week.

Called ahead for reservations at 8:30 and our table was ready upon arrival, with quite a few empty ones to spare. So noise level was perfect, with only one gripe. (There's only two issues I had, thus only 4 stars:) The background music was just bizarre. It sounded almost like there was an acoustic guitar player right IN the restaurant but hidden behind a curtain or something. I'd be hiding too, considering there was more clacking and banging on the guitar than actual strumming. Totally odd choice of music! Secondly, vegetarian options are limited, vegan options are...one. My mom had the grilled veggie plate which although tasty was a little uninspired. Seems like there's a little more that could be done for a vegan. Anyway. My moms boyfriend had the iceberg salad which I think is a weird little salad concept I've only seen in the south. He also got the veggie pizza which he devoured. And French fries, which I didn't have any, but they were the thin and crispy kind I like. I got the bruschetta without the olive stuff (ew, olives are nasty.) and I really enjoyed it! Bread was yummy and the pesto and tomato mix quite tasty. I also got the tomato soup without the blue cheese. Although I did notice a couple spoonfuls that seemed to have a cheesy texture. Did the kitchen miss that modification and then just snatch them off? Who knows, who cares, it was very good tomato soup. I was stuffed. Wish we had room for dessert but no. We had the Sauvignon blanc that was a little too grassy. I typically enjoy a New Zealand SB and it was ok but I'd choose the other bottle next time. Ambiance and decor was spot on, really enjoyed the colors and lighting inside. Service was friendly and courteous without being overbearing. I didn't mind the pacing (the food comes out as it is ready, so not all meals come at once.) It was an enjoyable experience. I'd definitely go back. I forgot to mention the best part: Chris, our server, was super cute. :)

We had dinner at Eat Here last evening 2/11/14. The overall ambience is nice, but that was about the only positive in our experience there. In a nutshell, Bad Attitude and Poor customer service by the restaurant Manager and the wait staff. Thee food took forever to come out and they brought each of our dinners separately at least 5 minutes apart, so the diner who got his dinner first, sat for 10 minutes while it got cold until we all had our dinners. The waitress never checked on us much and placed our meals and drinks on the table as she raced by. By 7pm, Eat Here was out of many specials and this was a Tuesday evening--Not good preparation on their part. The waitress told us, "Don't blame me, I don't own the place!" Wow..... When we spoke to the manager on the way out, he became more and more defensive and continued blaming the wait staff. As far as we were concerned, they all threw each other under the bus instead of helping to make the situation better. The food was mediocre & there are many other great restaurants in the Village, like The Lobster Pot, BlueCue and Bonjour. Overrated and overpriced....Don't Bother!

The food was rather average for the price. It was Applebee's quality at about 30% more in price. My husband had the Mahi special and it was way too salty. I had the beef tenderloin, which was fine, but for the price I expect special. Our server was very good and the other staff was friendly. They are just priced out of their league.

I had to say, I was really skeptical of anything in Siesta Key actually being good, but this place was lovely! To begin with, the hostess seated our group of 7 within a half hour on a Friday night, which I found totally reasonable. Our server, Jackie, was fabulous all night, answering all questions, obliging all requests, and happily giving us all the free glass of wine we received from our yelp check-in. We started out with the poutine appetizer, which tasted great, but as a poutine purist, I didn't find to be exactly authentic (I'm snobby about my cheese curds, sorry). The entree menu looked awesome and I had a tough time deciding, but ultimately settled on the mussels. I swapped out my frites for bread for no additional cost or hassle. They tasted great! I was pleasantly surprised by the service, food, and overall quality of this restaurant.

This isn't a bad spot to dine. The parking is ok, they are kid friendly and there wasn't a wait. The boys loved making their own pizza and we thought the appetizers (beet and bruschetta) were pretty darned good. I wish the decor wasn't so dark and 1980s but otherwise this is a very good choice in the middle of all of the action.

A group of four of us just returned from dinner here. It was a slow night and we were seated right away. After taking and delivering our drink orders our server asked if we wanted to order any appetizers. We ordered three to share and they came to the table fairly quickly. A few minutes into eating our appetizers our server came by asked if we would like to place our dinner orders. However " I won't put it in now." In the space of less than 10 minutes our dinners arrived! We had just started on our appetizers and there was literally barely enough room to put our entrees on the table. Feeling rushed is a gross understatement. To be fair the food was good but for semi "fine dining" we all feel that the service and kitchen was sub par.

After a day of Outlet Mall shopping, this was perfect. We had the Momma's Pot Roast and Tenderloin, both were done very well. The atmosphere is casual but the place is decorated great. We came around 5 and hit Happy Hour. If you come after 6, better make reservations. They have a gluten free menu and several vegan items. Would come again.

Great service, very good food, air conditioning works so that's a plus. Menu is a little confusing but no matter. Fish tacos, garlic potato chips, adult grilled cheese, shrimp and lobster tacos and grilled mahi mahi, all excellent. The kids grilled shrimp dinner came with only three grilled shrimp and the fries were cold and tasteless. They offered garlic bread since the kids were still hungry but I would have been happier had they offered a few more shrimp. All in all it was the best meal we had on the island so far this week.

I came to Eat here in a very serendipitous way. I had gone for a beach day around memorial day to siesta keys, aka the most beautiful beach in america according to some. Of course the day was spent 1.5 hour looking for parking and several hour baking in the sun to a glorious tan. After packing all of our gear, we had wanted to eat before our drive home. So I yelped a few places, but parking was once again a nightmare. I decided to take a back road and get the H out of there, and while we were still deciding if we should "eat here" or "go back home and eat" we found ourselves at a crossroad facing this restaurant. so I thought it was a sign and went in. Exhausted from a day in the sun and covered in sand, we entered. Do we have a reservation? haha no, I didn't even know you existed until 5 minutes ago! Service was good, the grilled cheese was the best I've ever tasted. I had a lackluster fish tacos and wished I'd gotten the grilled cheese. I can't speak for the rest of the menu. I had really wanted creme brulee but there was none when we went. the decor is cute but not over the top, and it's right across the street from a place that makes nitrogen ice cream. so it's a win-win.

This was probably the fanciest restaurant we ate at while in Siesta Key, which took us by surprise. Casual dress still works but it has a bit of a formal feel. Good variety on the menu (I brought landlubbers). Coldest Stella in SK - finally!! A real gem that is typically not too busy and has parking available.

We have been 3 times and staff has always been friendly and accommodating. Food is good but on the expensive side for what you get. Nice place for a bigger group on the Key. Definitely try the pineapple infused vodka. Mahi tacos were boring. Titanic (wedge w blue cheese) salad was very good. Beets are unique. Entrance is clogged and hostess stand should be moved.

Really enjoyed the restaurant's branding and would have bought a t-shirt on the way out had the experience been better. Server heavily recommended the "8oz Salmon Special" multiple times. Being hungry, I asked him if it was actually 8 ounces and he assured me it was. When my food came, the salmon was about a 4 inch square on an enormous plate. The "Everything Salad" that accompanied it was exceptionally small as well. After questioning our server about the size discrepancy, he walked away unapologetic. After finishing my meal, our waiter came back and said that, after double-checking, the special was only 6 ounces. We were given no price adjustment and no apology. In summary, it seemed what was "special" about it was that it was twice as profitable to them as the standard salmon dish.

Not to beat a dead horse but the service was slow, inattentive, and not caring or friendly. The filet was good as was the meatloaf. The chef's tacos and the chicken, not so good. I won't name the waiter other than to say his first name started with the first letter of the alphabet. I could go on and on about his service but I would just rather say that it was poor.

Excellent meal. Visited this restaurant twice in the last month. Both occasions my meal was excellent, the staff was very pleasant. We made a reservation but our table was not ready when we arrived. The restaurant gave us each a complementry glass of wine to enjoy while we waited for our table. Food was excellent.

We are longtime visitors to the key. This trip we pledged to try all new places. Our 3 boys were tired but the food came quickly and to perfection. The staff recommendations were spot on. We tried the garlic chips as an appetizer. My wife had salmon, I had the surf and turf (filet and shrimp) my kids had shrimp(2) and pizza. All the meals were cooked perfectly. This was a nice addition to the key and we will be returning soon! Thanks to an excellent team for an excellent experience!

Tried this place for the first time after some friends had raved about it. Not impressed by any of the items we tried including the pizza with sausage, bouillabaisse, and muscles. After asking the waiter what the most popular item on the menu was - he told us, "the beets"?! When they arrived we were surprised to find that they were battered and deep-fried which is usually a good thing - but they were disappointing and tasteless. We actually had to season them with table salt. I guess after all the hype our hopes had been set pretty high for Eat Here. If we go back we'll have to try the lobster tacos which seem to be everyones top pick.

I am vegan and heard they were very accommodating, so we went to check it out. Our server made sure to find out all vegan options for me. I had a delicious quinoa salad that had almonds, apricots, beans, and more, along with a kale salad that had a light dressing and almonds and currants. We split an order of roasted veggies, consisting of beets, carrots, potatoes, onion, whole garlic cloves, green beans and a side of warm arugula. It was all so good, and the server was just so nice. I would give it 5 stars, but those were the only vegan things on the menu. To be fair, I went back another night and had the 2 salads again, so I obviously loved it! :-)

Gourmet quality with calm beach casualness. Best fried oysters of our life. Lots of interesting options, in small or large plates, with sharing encouraged. The Caesar salad was not as special as other items, but that's a minor quibble. Food arrives when ready - hot and perfect, on heated plates. It's great to have a fine casually elegant experience just steps away from the SKOB bar scene of Siesta Village. We will be back. Great option for taking our out of town visitors and surprising them with superb food.

Tried to eat here but the service was awful! Ordered drinks and then sat for 30 min and waitress came over and had forgotten we ordered drinks and she still hadn't taken our orders ao we got up and left. Won't go back!

Probably the best restaurant in the village. The happy/hour small plates menu is great. Do yourself a favor and try the appropriately named heart attack hot dog or the pig pizza. You won't regret it.

Crowded but nice bar atmosphere. Small plates and shared items are the way to go. Meatloaf is great and big enough to share. Fun spot for kids but cozy for couples too.
