Nachos were so so. Drinks were fine. A few cute girls...nothing special. Go for drinks...they are not overly strong but tasty...

I stopped in the check out the new location and found that it was just as awesome as the Siesta Key location. Great vibe, cool view from the 2nd story looking over the circle, food was great. Definitely recommend going over and over.

This is a five star for what it is. The drinks are great and I was fortunate enough to drink while there was a fabulous live musician! I've eaten food here in the past and it is decent BAR food!

We had a blast at this bar/restaurant. It's clean and in such a trendy area it lends to great people watching. The restaurant is clean, casual and open to the outside. The bartenders were great very patient and attentive. We tried a variety of the drinks all were decent. We ordered the seafood platter blackened and it was surprisingly good! The seafood was super fresh and perfectly cooked. The scallops were the best we have had in a while! So big and well seasoned we loved them so much we almost ordered another platter just for more scallops! The fish and shrimp on the platter was very good too! When we come back to visit we will be sure to stop here again!

Good atmosphere. Upper deck overlooking the circle was great. Design elements like the working flames on the columns are nice. We brought friends visiting from Tampa and we sat on the deck and never saw a server for about 15 minutes. When they finally took our drink order we waited another 15 minutes before we just walked out.The service here is as horrible as it gets. FIRST TIME IVE EVER WALKED OUT FRUSTRATED. There are several other good choices on the circle as well as ones with 2nd floor over looks. Pass on this one.

hahahha, isn't this a fun place?? It's got some fantastic decor downstairs (which frankly, was a heck of a lot more contemporary/modern-ish than I expected), a very large bar, ample high top seating, tons of daiquiri machines doing their slurpee swirling thing of various flavors, as well as a fabulous bartender (Stephanie). We ordered a variety of drinks, all of which we enjoyed very much so. We also ordered all things fried, gator bites, French fries, sweet potato fries, fish tenders (recommendation by Stephanie, instead of the chicken ones), and a huge plate of nachos. It all went down quite smoothly - we were happy, no complaints. The prices are reasonable, the service was fantastic (Stephanie is a kickass bartender), they have several TVs for you to watch whatever event/show you'd like to watch, and it's really a no brainer. ***PRO TIP - you can mix flavors of daiquiris and ask for the required floaters on top :) THIS has been a review by Gaurav

Love the atmosphere and the view from the upper deck. Never had a problem not being able to sit by the railing up there. Great drinks, food, and service, I frequent here often!

Nicely renovated, clean local beach bar with cool ac and cooler drinks. Our server was on top of our needs with the perfect balance between attentiveness and allowing us to enjoy our time. We had 4 flavors of their custom daiquiris, the mangolada, decksickle, voodoo love shack and terminal velocity. My favorite was the voodoo love shack, a sinful mixture of pina colada, chocolate liqueur, banana and coffee liqueurs topped with amaretto. The mangolada was pretty gross, a supposed mixture of mango and pina colada, but i am pretty sure it was Margarita mix instead, foamy sour mix and all. The sweet potato fries were awesome as was the musical act on the patio. We'll be back, just not for a mangolada.

In the interest of full disclosure, I'm pregnant and so I could not try any of the daiquiris while I was on the deck. But I did really enjoy my lunch! I had a delicious salmon salad and the other two guests with me both enjoyed hearty lobster salad wraps. Everything was clearly made fresh and from scratch. I would have given a five star review, but service was a little slow bringing drink refills and didn't check in often. In Florida, on a deck, I need lots of water!

What a nice way to start lunch out with friends! We each got the refillable cup. You can chose your own color and refills are only 9.95. I had the green parrot and so did RA. Second go around RA had a Miami vice which is a mixture of both piña coloda and a strawberry daiquiri. She enjoyed both. I liked the green parrot because it had mango in it. Lunch consisted of a chicken burrito for RA and myself. And HM had a crab cake burger. The food was acceptable. I was disappointed that the bruit to did not have black beans, but the chicken was tender and had good flavor. RA lived the coleslaw, and HM said the crab cake was ok. We really went for the drinks. No disappointment there. My only recommendation would be to get the extra shot!!

The food was ok - just ok. I had the steak wrap, which was pretty small for the price ( I actually counted eight French fries on my plate - how depressing). The service was pretty bad. My waitress just wouldn't come around... Ever.

    1. Sangria was watered down as well as the rum and coke. 2. Ordered nachos. Easy? Not necessarily. Nachos came out late and were cold. It was a plate of chips, with canned jalapeños and tomatoes, with shredded cheese, thrown into an oven and forgot about. 3. Waited 10-12 minutes before we had our drink order taken. 4. Wait staff were eating in front of customers while working. 5. There were servers complaining about customers in front of customers at the upstairs bar. And she would NOT STOP. 6. We were never asked how our food or experience was. Maybe cause they know the food is worse than McDonald's? As a restaurant owner, the food and service were nowhere near acceptable. The one good thing was that the music was not too loud. Good taste in music. Not food.

I come here often, but only if I'm not super hungry. Portions are small and if I'm anything more than "snack hungry" I will leave still feeling hungry and I weigh 100 lbs. prices are a bit expensive but it's what you'd expect being on the number 1 beach in the U.S. Other than that, I love the food here.

Rooftop dining alfresco with a view at this shopping Mecca, St Armand's circle. So the view is of shoppers but that's ok. We went for the eats. Happy hour doesn't begin until 3 and we got there earlier so opted for beer. No prices on the menu and the server misquoted which we found out when the bill came. So minus a star for below average service. Ordered the lobster wrap and it was tasty and filling. Came with choice side of fries or coleslaw. Coleslaw was good. Sign said live music daily and asked server when they come on and she had no clue. Never bothered to ask so again service below par. But food was filling and tasty so come for that without high expectations and you won't go away hungry.

The Kryptonite daiquiri is awesome. Their oysters are super clean and the coconut shrimp is delicious. The grouper finger appetizer may however be my favorite. A great location on the circle that's walking distance from Lido beach. This is definitely my favorite place to go in St. Armand's.

Five words...Douchebaggery Capital of Lido Beach. Just wanted to watch the Miami Heat game - had zero idea that we would be surrounded by a sea of Affliction zombies...eeek

  • Agatha G.

This is my first time writing a post on here but felt the need to due to what happened. We went out to dinner here while visiting Lido beach. The server was good and so was the food, or so I thought. I ordered the fajita wrap with steak and fries. I ate half there and took the other half to go. Today I warmed up my left over fajita wrap and barely took 4 bites before I bit into something hard. I spit the meat out and to my surprise there was a staple, yes a metal staple in my food!! How it got there is scary and alarming. I called and spoke to a manager who apologized and said he would "take care" of me next time we were in town. Needless to say I will not be going back! How a metal staple gets cooked in food leads me to believe it can't be that clean or safe of a kitchen. I'm just glad I didn't choke on it! :(

Good drinks for a great price. Added the extra shot for $2. Stopped here after the beach. I like the location and the rooftop seating. Our server was nice and attentive. Kept our drinks filled the whole time we were there. For a snack, I got the Buffalo Shrimp. FYI if you like spicy and decide to go for the "R U CRAZY" sauce.. get it on the side. It's delicious, but hot as hell. My mouth was burning for so long, I had to remove the breading to eat the shrimp. But it was so tasty and delicious! I couldn't stop eating them.. but if I ever go back, I will get the sauce on the side or something more mild.

One of the worst places to eat and drink on St. Armands! Appalling nachos were nothing but old tortilla chips with warmed cheese and a few tiny pieces of chicken for $14.00. Drink prices are NOT listed on their menu. Waitress, Kate, simply rolled her eyes when we needed more time to order. Safe yourself from this tourist trap and WAY TOO MANY televisions. Go anywhere else but Daiquiri Deck!!

Cute venue for a casual afternoon of drinks, apps and people watching with a great view of St. Armand's Circle! We "discovered" this spot while wandering St. Armand's Circle for the first time. Although we peeked into numerous spots in the area, something about the free standing sign and the description of margarita and daiquiri options lured us in. This restaurant is entirely on the second floor with an outdoor deck overlooking the circle. The entry is just past the street sign and up the stairs to the left. Our party of 9 (including a 6yo and a 1yo) was seated immediately in a prime corner location on the deck. The venue was surprisingly child friendly, offering both crayons and coloring books to our darlings as well as virgin options of the daiquiris. We ordered several appetizers and some drinks. I went with a virgin strawberry daiquiri, knowing the kids would eye my beverage and immediately want whatever I had (typical!). The rest of our party enjoyed the buckets of beers and the margaritas. The bucket of beer option was quite liberal- they allowed you to order all the same or any combination of beers they offered. The guys took advantage of this and ordered all kinds of combinations of regular and light beers. For apps we ordered the buffalo shrimp and nachos. I first had buffalo shrimp in Concord, New Hampshire and it was one of the most memorable appetizers of my stay there. These were ok in comparison. They were certainly shrimp, with a crust of buffalo sauce, but the flavor was lacking. These were practically bland! Buffalo sauce is, by definition, a fiery sauce with fierce taste. This was not at all. Nonetheless, we ate all of them and ordered a refill. We were not there for the taste, but to enjoy the company and the day. The nachos were your typical nachos. Chips, two types of cheese, lettuce, tomatos, olives and a side of salsa. The menu offered options to add black beans, chili or chicken, but given we had some picky eaters among us, we just went with the basic nachos. These were good. Overall, a great venue.

So So. everything was ok in a pre packaged kind of way. Coconut shrimp out of a box and steamed shrimp were not fresh steamed. Conch fritters were a pre tub mix. Not bad, but nothing worth going back for out of 4 of us eating meals.

I did not care for their small daiquiris which come in a 8 ounce plastic cup and are $6 - price not listed on the menu. They are taste like frozen sugar water with almost no alcohol. I then noticed that the daiquiris are poured out of a bank of machines that line one wall. We left after 1 round , stick to the beer and wine!

What a great idea for a bar at the beach! Tons of daiquris to choose from! I dont remember what I had but I do remember the bathroom being extremely clean! ha! Our bartender was very friendly and helped with suggestions. Noel Harris was the entertainment of the happy hour/evening time. Unfortunately we were leaving as he was performing. His voice is absolutely incredible!

The weather was a bit cool for the beach so we decided to come over to St Armand and visit the Mote aquarium. On our way back we decided to walk around St. Armand Circle and since it was close to dinner time we thought we'd give this a try. We had seen the one on Siesta Key village and the menu looked like it had a good variety. Since we arrived just a bit ahead of the dinner crowd we were able to get a table on the deck right by the rail overlooking the street. They had live music that was just getting started and 2 for 1 daiquiri's so we were off to a good start. The service was very good and we enjoyed the food. We didn't do anything fancy, just a cheese pizza for the kids and I had a Cuban sandwich. The food was good but nothing great but when you put it together with the atmosphere it made it a nice visit. I would certainly come back if I'm down this way again. Not sure if i would have enjoyed it as much if we had to sit inside. At least the location on Siesta Key seemed to have a more outdoor feel to it.

The meal was great but the salmon was more rare than medium and the tuna burger was cold. Had to send both items back for redos. The outdoor music was a great bonus for the ambiance.

We loved the old daiquiri deck...the renovated daiquiri deck is not the same restaurant. Renovations look great. The same cannot be said for the kitchen. Slow, slow, slow. My wife and I have had a terrible experience the past 3 times we visited the DD. Each time we say "their just working the bugs out" and "it will get better". The kitchen is pushing out pre packaged Sysco delivered food at the pace of 41 traffic during season! as a local long time customer of DD, I can say without a doubt, we will never be a patron of the DD again. back of the house has ruined this restaurant and the person ordering the food is clearly feeling a financial pinch.

Hubby and i stopped here last night to see what all the fuss was about. Between the lackluster drinks, and the sort of edible bland food, I have yet to figure out why this place is so popular. The food was very bland, the veggie burger I had was actually a black bean burger. Not what i wanted but, i was hungry. The fries were okay but, covered in season salt which I do not care for. The hubby had the Cuban which was basically a subway sandwich smooshed onto "cuban" bread and grilled. There was zero flavor to the coleslaw and the pickles were soggy. A few hours later resulted in a very unhappy tummy and heartburn. I can't say I'll be returning anytime soon.

This is a place we frequent every time we come to town. It's consistent and the food is tasty. Their lobster fondue is sinful with the amount of meat it has....it's fantastic! 9 times out of 10 the size of the blue point oysters they deliver are impressive...although at times I have been disappointed. Make sure if you order the mussels you tell them you want extra broth for dipping. ..when they come out dry it's not nearly as wonderful. The staff is good and the ambiance is relaxed and inviting. Sit on the outside deck for a cool perspective of the circle.

Great place, good view from upstairs deck. Live music was also a plus while eating. Pitcher of Sangria was great tasting, conch fritters were yummy, oysters rockefeller were better in other restaurants but for the price were reasonable. Cuban sandwich was tasty but not Cuban....overall great place to eat in the circle when looking for a casual atmosphere, service was excellent too!

Good drinks if you want frozen beverages to get with the swing of the local beach atmosphere. It's cheaper than many other locations in st Armand's. Their wings were crispy and juicy with a lot of flavor but entertainment seems subpar in my experience. There is never anyone enjoying the DJ or dancing. Seems like they could be doing more to being in the younger tourists in the area and target their demographic. The hostess at the front entrance always seems disengaged whenever I've dined there and sometime rude. Otherwise, it's cheap fruity drinks in a tropical environment, so I guess one can't be too picky.

    (3)
  • Cindy A.

The service is very good but the food is very plain. Sadly to say this food taste like fast food... If you just want to come here to watch a game this place is cool.

Came for happy hour on Friday to celebrate my new job. Daiquiris were two for one which were good all around. Our food on the other hand.... Calamari was so over cooked it tasted like rubber. Both my grouper sandwich and my bf burger were overdone as well. Service was slow and there were only two girls running the whole place and there were three other girls just standing around talking and on their phones. Probably won't be order anything but daiquiris if I decide to go back. Also I feel like there is so much potential with their daiquiri menu, it pales in comparison to fat Tuesdays. Get a mudslide daiquiri and the combination possibilities are endless.

    (1)
  • Anthony M.

Attention Daiquiri Deck...I want more nachos. My plate of nachos was quite a bit smaller than the table next to me. I was crying in my empty daiquiri cup. I know, who would go to a raw bar and order nachos, right? Well, we've gone out of our way a couple times to munch on these nachos and enjoy some creative daiquiris. I will admit, you get a bit more daiquiri at other similar chains; but the setting here on St. Armand's Circle and the delicious nachos gives this place an edge. One of these visits, my wife will have the guts to try some oysters.

Friendly service, terrible food. This is for those people that think McDonald's is acceptable food. I have been here 3 times now and I can definitely say the food here is poor quality. It's fast food. Go here if you want party type sickly sweet teen daiquiris, beer and low quality quick eats.

Wow what an awful experience! Called 3 hours ahead of time to make a reservation for 8pm as it was St. Patrick's day and didn't know how crowded they would be. When my family arrived we approached the hostess on the lower level saying we had a reservation. Her response was "upstairs." No greeting of hello or welcome. We go upstairs and there is no hostess. Finally, a server flags down the hostess. We tell her we have a reservation for 8pm. She proceeds to grab 8 sets of silverware and 8 menus...we tell her it's for 8'o clock not 8 people... So we are seated and we are waiting, and waiting, and waiting. Finally, a server comes over. Her excuse as to why it took so long is she had a large table. The restaurant was not nearly as crowded as we thought it would be for St. Patrick's day. Now we want a price on the sangria since their drink menu has no prices. The waitress takes the menu saying the prices should be there. We tell her they are not. She goes to the bar to ask for prices. Comes back saying the pitcher is $19. We ask how much a single sangria drink is. She once again didn't know and said "probably $6" (it was $7.50 when we got the bill.) Now we order our drinks and meals together to save time and get out of this place. Took about 25 mins for the food to come which was brought to our table by another waitress . 3 of our 4 meals were to come salads which we didn't received. We tell this to the waitress and her response is "she is not our waitress, but she will tell our waitress." Five minutes later salads are brought to our table by the "waitress who isn't ours." A little while later our actual waitress returns apologizing for the salads as there "was a mix up in the kitchen." Obviously the manager got wind of all the problems and comes over and sarcastically asks if there is anything she can do. We tell her we would love for her to do something for us. She said she will remove one of our meals from the bill after we had to listen to her excuses as to why everything went wrong with our meal/time there. Obviously this place doesn't not care that their service sucks since they know they can get the average vacationer/tourist who won't come back anyhow. Everyone working there is a snobby stuck up girl with a serious attitude problem in her 20s. Not sure who the adult in charge is. Kind of a shame since the food was decent. Go to Cha Cha Coconuts down the street SO MUCH BETTER!!!

We were greeted by a rude hostess who sat us at a high top. My 6 foot 3 brother politely asked if we could change to a booth. She rolled her eyes and sat us at a booth. It didn't seem like much of an issue because no one else was in there except for one man at the bar. They were out of 3 daiquiri flavors, but the ones we ordered- Piña Colada and Mangolada were delicious. We ordered grouper fingers which were "100% amazing." It was so good and would recommend/order again. The burger great and was a nice size. The chicken sandwhich was okay, but was burnt. Would give everything but the chicken 5 stars!!!!! I will come back!

Bad service. The waitress wasn't mean.... Just indifferent. Bad service. Not friendly and I tried to liven it up a little. If ya want a drive thru experience.....this was the place. The food was good just no fun to be there.

  • Amy W.

Can't argue with 2-for-1 daquiris. They aren't gourmet, by any means, but for the price I was satisfied. As mentioned in previous reviews, you can only order the same flavor to get the deal, but when the price is that low, I can't complain. If this were in my hometown, I'd imagine I'd be there quite frequently. We stopped by in the early afternoon, so it wasn't busy and we were able to get a spot at the bar right away. A nice place to crash for a bit while checking out downtown Sarasota.

Recently, we took a vacation to the Tampa area to visit one of my best friends. The first place we visited was called the Daiquiri Deck. During our trip, we actually visited two different locations. We chose to sit outside on the deck. The view was beautiful. On my first visit, I had the strawberry daiquiri. It was perfect on this hot day. Because we were hungry, I decided to have the steak and blue cheese salad, and it did not disappoint. On our next visit, I wanted to try a drink that was more fun, so I ordered the Kryptonite, which was electric lemonade, green parrot and grain alcohol. This trip happened to be happy hour, so we got two for the price of one! Bargain! Garrett ordered the calamari as an appetizer. It was perfectly seasoned. Being that is was so freakin' hot, I really enjoyed the frozen daiquiris. If I was in the area, I'd definitely revisit, especially if it was hot and humid!

Decent food, decent service. Nothing special like I thought it would be. Wish we had just gone over to the Columbia instead. Perhaps if the prices were a little lower I would have really loved it. The popular items are overpriced in my opinion.

First time I was ever in a bar that gave me a check after my very first drink was served. We were about to order another one when our waitress walked up told us we had to cash out. So we decided to order a drink.... in another bar. Shame because I enjoyed my Daquiri. Just to clarify this was the Siesta Key location

Worst service I have ever seen. Sat at a table upstairs and could not even get a waitress to look at our table.

    (1)
  • Mallory W.

Terrible! The hostess said we could seat ourselves, so 5 of us found a table. Sat there 10 mins before I had to approach someone about getting menus. She questioned who sat us and why. I explained and she seemed annoyed and walked away. So 5 mins later I had to find her to ask for menus and if a server was ever coming. She was folding menus but wouldn't give me some!! Finally a fabulous server saved the day! She was great and communicative unlike the rest of the staff!! Food is good, drinks are pricey. I do not reccomend this place unless u just want a drink...but it'll take forever and you'll probably get an attitude.

Horrible bouncers. Horrible atmosphere. Trashy appearance.... cliental are not much better!!! Would rather make my own daiquiris at home!!!!! If you enjoy mean people and horrible food, this is the place for you!!! I am a twenty-something right out of college and they threatened to take away my "fake" ID!!! Left after I was fed up with their humiliation!!!! I am 23!!!!

We started our meal with a liquid appetizer! An IPA beer for the husband and bikini champagne martini for me. Both drinks were cold and well made. I opted for the lobster salad wrap with seasonal fruit and the hubby has the blackened chicken sandwhxj with fries. The waitress informed is upon taking my order that the fresh fruit would be a slight up charge and we had no problem with that. The food came out fast and was very fresh and well presented. The fruit was minimal (about 2 grapes and maybe 5 pierces of melon) but the lobster wrapped up for it. The fries were seasons and not drenched in oil. When reviewing the check, which comes with an iPod to rate the service (very cool) we saw the fruit was a $2 up charge. Overall it was a good meal and the atmosphere overlooking St. Armand's is hard to beat!

Can't go wrong with 2-4-1 daiquiris !! They are small but they're only $3 in a tourist place I think that's pretty good. Haven't had any food here so can't speak to that but all the staff are friendly and attentive. Would definitely return for 2-4-1

I am writing a review as I am sitting at a table outside drinking the third beer on the menu that I ordered because they didn't have the first two and eating the worst appetizer I have ever had and my friends margarita has absolutely zero tequila in it. Dont come here!

We took my in-laws here while they were visiting from the West coast. They are not drinkers at all so I was thrilled that my MIL ordered herself and my FIL a daquiri:) My FIL only had about half of his and I happily drank his leftovers. My MIL and I shared a grouper sandwich, it was pretty good. My husband and his little brother had the alligator bites which they really enjoyed. The location is great, a nice place to cool off while shopping.

Horrible experience, walked In with 3 friends visiting from out of state/ with no greetings from any of the staff. All the workers looked at us and turned their heads as we walked to our table. We sat at the table for 5 minutes and the waitress finally came over and said "are you guys eating here" and tossed the menus to everyone. No Hi or Welcome, We promptly got up and left. Horrible vibe and service, lazy staff/ don't waste your time!

If you are into really sweet frozen drinks then this is the place for you. I don't think I would ever consider eating here unless I was starved, only because it doesn't really sound interesting. The atmosphere is weird because it's set up like a sports bar feeling but you're drinking these tropical type frozen drinks. If it were my place I would just go over-the-top beachy feeling to up the atmosphere. Our friend SD was falling asleep, one, because that's what she does, two, because it was kind dead of boring. I would not really go back.

    (2)
  • stephanie H.

Drinks are resort priced with very minimal alcohol. I can have three beers and I'm slightly tipsy. I can have two frozen liquor daiquiris here and not feel much of anything. Food is decent beach food but nothing amazing. It's pricey for what you get quality and quantity wise. Go with friends but plan on easily spending $30-45 for your meal and drinks.

I went to Darquari Deck while I was vacationg in Sarasota, FL on 7/20/13. My group of friends and I went specifically to take advantage of their two for one drink special. Intially, we were disappointed when the waitress told us it had to be two of the same flavor darquari to get the lower price. Our disappointment changed when we realized we could all order different drinks and swap with one another. Although, their prices for food was a little higher than what I expected for bar food. I enjoyed what I order (and did not have a problem finishing it). I also really enjoyed speaking with our waitress at the Darquari Deck. She was very attentive (and was the one who intially suggested swapping drinks with one another). I also love the ambiance of this restaurant. I felt very tropically (which, was perfect since I was on vacation) on the patio. I would go back.

My girlfriends and I went here because the tall stairs up to the restaurant seemed interesting. The restaurant is filled with bright colors and friendly workers. Our waitress was kind and personable. I got the siesta burger and it was cooked perfectly to the way I ordered it. Everyone was pleased with the large helpings and tasty food. Definitely one to check out if you are in the long boat key area.

A tourist restaurant. If that's your thing, then this is the place for you. Tried their 2 for 1 happy hour special, classic strawberry daiquiri. I'm no daiquiri expert, but even I know they taste better than that. Disgustingly sweet and most definitely drenched in artificial flavoring. Got the fried alligator tail which was delicious but a little overpriced. Also had their conch chowder which was a disappointment. When did chowders become watery soups? I literally thought I was given the wrong soup. And I'm not sure I tasted a single piece of conch in there. Service was also very disappointing. Since my boyfriend was driving, we asked if we could split the 2 for 1, one alcoholic and one non. We were happy to pay the same price, but instead, they brought us 2 alcoholic drinks and one smoothie. And charged us for both. But a convenient location, and the live music they had upgrades them from a 1 to 2 star.

Yes, it's a touristy restaurant, but we're in a touristy area, so we didn't mind the "stereotype." Like many on yelp, we went to check out the 2-4-1 daiquiri happy hour. The drinks come in a small plastic cups and you can't mix it. Whatever flavor you order, you will get another of. For what it is and how much they cost, the daiquiris were fine, albeit quite sweet. Remember, the drinks are in plastic cups, so don't expect top shelf cocktails. I thought the food was good. I tried oysters for the first time and per the expert at my table, they were very good. Service was excellent: prompt and friendly. She knew the menu well and shared good recommendations. Another favorite aspect of the dining experience, the second floor outdoor seating.

Food is pretty good but service is terrible. Last time we were here, it took nearly two hours for one round of drinks and sandwiches. While we waited for our food, all of the waitresses were doing a photo shoot for their marketing. It seems like common sense for management to schedule things like that when paying customers aren't waiting for food. But sadly, the service isn't much better even when the staff isn't posing for a shoot.

What's not to like? It's a solid extension of the other location on Siesta.

Their frozen drinks are AWESOME. The prices are also way better than anything you would pay elsewhere on the circle. As for the food. The people complaining about the food.... All I gotta say is, IT'S A BAR!! The food is not suppose to be good. You go for the drinks and that's about it! But I agree, the food is not great. Also, don't recommend going there late night. As another poster said, the douchebags of Sarasota like to congregate there and right on with the Affliction shirts everywhere lol.

Ended up going here three times in a week. Cheap cold drinks on hot days with a great view. The food is spotty, as is the music and service. Based on our third visit, all cylinders were firing but this review is based on three visits, so I am giving them 3 stars.

We came in for a quick bite to eat before we headed to the beach. We were on vacation, and a friend had recommended we check out St. Armand's circle for lunch. The location is great, and Daiquiri Deck's patio overlooks the circle -- but that's all they get stars for. We ordered the Ahi sandwich, and when it came out the fish took up less than half of the bun -- it looked ridiculous. The only thing they'd done was slap in on the bun. There was no sauce, or anything to make it special. We were hungry and in a hurry, so we ate it, but if we weren't in a hurry to get to the beach, I'd have sent it back. Later that evening, we caught up with friends who were from Sarasota, and they told us definitively that you should only go to Daiquiri Deck for cocktails in the evening. Lesson learned.

The best thing about this place is that it serves food until close!! I went with a few girlfriends and we came around 11pm and we were sooo glad that they serve food til 2AM! They got the music blasting at night, so I would suggest sitting outside to enjoy the weather and breeze. They had several different flavors of daiquiris you could try, alcohol and non-alcohol, but I ended up trying their Mangolicious mixed drink, and it was definitely delicious if you're a mango fan and don't want something too strong. We ordered tons of food! Its a raw bar so they offer 5 different oysters to choose from. We tried Blue Point and Apalachicola. Not sure if Blue Point is worth the extra money, but its pretty luscious. We tried it raw, steamed and oysters casino. I wouldn't try it steamed if you are not a raw fan.. it was pretty gritty and that's not something you want to taste when you're eating it. The raw and oysters casinos were awesome. Oysters casino is a baked version with breadcrums and pancetta and parmesan. Definitely a must try! We also had their mussels, conch fritters, and lobster fondue. All simply delicious!! If your taking a trip in Sarasota, St. Armands Circle is the spot to be at. I didn't get to chance to venture around everything, but it gives me more reason to visit again! Who knows, if I have a crazy craving for oysters at 11PM at night, I just might make the drive from orlando so come visit this place! =)

Didnt eat, just drank. Touristy spot... loud service eh. Drinks were pricey but strong... cant beat a frozen drink when its hot... we had 1 drink each and left to go eat. Menu looked eh and was pricey for what it was... checked out other peoples food and it looked like typical bar fare.

Very average loud sports bar food that is priced a little on the high side.

Ate here for lunch today and was trying to check in and realized that they weren't listed. I found out they had opened within the past two weeks! St. Armands needed a place like this. Most of St. Armands is on the pricier side, so this is a nice lunch spot for a quick drink and sandwich before hitting the beach. Friendly service, raw oysters, cooked oysters(including oysters casino), margaritas, burgers, fish sandwiches all at a reasonable price right by the beautiful Lido Key Beach. Their location is upstairs so you get a really nice view of St. Armands center while dining outside with the cool breeze and clear blue skies. Ideal for people watching (my fave)! They also have a location at Siesta Key that has been there a while. So if you were debating between which beach to go to, they got you covered!

The daiquiri's were pretty good and not badly priced, but only if you get the stronger ones recommended by the waitress. I was surprised to see only one waitress working the whole restaurant at 10pm, so it was a little hard to get her attention but I guess I can't really fault her for that...? We did notice a second waitress getting up from a table where she'd been eating and well, just sitting there. She looked right at us when we walked in, but didn't greet us and didn't help the other waitress. Halfway through our meal, we overheard her say she was leaving, and she seemed to have been piddling around until her shift time was over. From the time we walked in, it was almost 15 minutes before we even got to order drinks, as our waitress was obviously overwhelmed. I had the crab cakes appetizer, and my friend had a shrimp po' boy. Both were palatable, but not impressive - especially for the price of $11 for two tiny crab cakes - and I do mean tiny. We each had two drinks in addition to the sandwich and appetizer, and our bill was over $60. Ridiculous, if you ask me. It was just okay. I might visit again for the drinks if I were passing by, but definitely not for the food. And though our waitress was friendly, it took so long to get her attention (after we'd just walked over a mile and a half from Lido Beach to get there), I really would rather have stayed in our room and skipped this place.

For a place with daiquiri in the title, I've always gotten a bad look from the server whenever I've only ordered a daiquiri.

This place is for 20 somethings who like to drink high Alcohol drinks loaded with sugar & cheap.... no idea what a fish taco is hard shell ??? tiny pieces of fish ??? Mango Salsa??? Service okay Entertainment just annoying... Tourist Trap for sure disappointed

It was just OK. The plentiful selections of daiquiri's is kind of fun, but they weren't that great. The strawberry was actually kind of gross. Banana was the favorite among our group of 4 (we tried strawberry, banana, grape, & mango). We went during happy hour so we got 2 for 1 which was definitely nice. The food though wasn't anything special. I ordered the Cajun Seafood Pasta with a Caesar Salad based on the recommendation of our server and it was WAY overly seasoned. I LOVE spicy food, but this tasted like they accidentally spilled the bottle of Old Bay in the pot...it's all you could taste. And the Caesar Salad was pitiful. They served it on a piping hot plate so the lettuce was super wilted and not near enough dressing. We had the beef nachos as an appetizer which were just your typical nachos, nothing special but okay. Other dishes at our table were the club, the Mahi club, & the Crab Cake Sandwich. Everybody else was happy enough with their meal, but again, nothing special. Service was mediocre. Prices were a little high but about what I expected for a touristy location like this. It's an okay place but there are better options in the area.

This was a very happening place. It was hard to find a seat and we went when they were having happy hour. The drinks were good but you have to pound them to even feel anything. I think I got a sugar rush before anything else. I got oysters.... don't bother not fresh. The nachos were good... It was ok nothing special but you can keep your drink cups which was cool and it was a nice happening place.

I love daiquiri deck and I love this location! Very clean and staff is great. It doesn't offer the same atmosphere as siesta key but it doesn't smell like siesta. Lol if you ever been to siesta you know what I mean.

  • Tara Z.

We were so excited when we heard Daiquiri Deck was opening at St. Armand's so far the service has been awful and we have given it 5 or 6 tries cause we love Daiquiri Deck in Siesta. This trip the food was sub par and it took an hour to get 3 meals, it wasn't even busy apparently the kitchen messed up one of the dishes and didn't comp. us anything until we complained. So sad guess we will stick to the Siesta location.

Don't let "raw bar" deceive you. This is pub grub. More of a "drink like a college kid" place than "enjoy local seafood cuisine". Oh and their specialty "daiquiris" are just super alcoholic slurpees. Fine for what it is, but know the game before you go

Bill and I came to the Daiquiri Deck around 10:30 PM on Friday night. It was getting late and I wanted to go somewhere to finish watching some of the basketball games, get a bite to eat, and have a couple of drinks. And I absolutely LOVE Daiquiri's so, I figured this was a good decision. I have to say I was disappointed. . .highly. To start, when we got there St.Armand's circle was desolate! There seriously was hardly anybody out. . .maybe there was something going on that night that we missed? Or maybe it is always that way? Not sure. We were seated very quickly and started off with a couple drinks. I had the Strawberry Shortcake (strawberry daquiri/pina colada mix) and Bill had the Kraken. . .simply because he is obsessed with the Kraken from Pirates of the Carribean sooooo he just HAD to have the Kraken drink! The drinks were bad ass and literally after one I was definitely feeling alright! My disappointed comes in the food. . .we ordered conch fritters as an appetizer. The fritters were decent however, it came with this horrible mango salsa that I thought tasted absolutely terrible but thats neither here nor there! For dinner Bill ordered the soft shell crab sandwich and I ordered the fruit plate with chicken salad. Our dinners were just mediocre, nothing special. All in all, it would be a fun place to go to sit outside on the deck and watch the games and have a few drinks just. . .make other plans for dinner :)

I was on business in Lido Key and was looking for a place with good draft beers, close to the Holiday Inn and decent light dinner. If you like seafood, this is a good spot. I had a few beers, salad and 1/2 pound of shrimp for a great price. They have AC inside and a deck that you can see the water from. Highly recommended.

Came here on a Friday Night around 10:30 and the bar was a little busy, but I was expecting more for a weekend night. My girlfriend and I each ordered a frozen margarita, which were good, but so cold that you could only take a tiny sip at a time if you didn't want a headache. They had a DJ spinning, and he was really good. Only problem is that no one was there to enjoy it. By the time we left around midnight the place had emptied out.

I LOVE Florida! ..... but hate the food here. The fish tacos were ok but the hummus plate and the daiquiris were great. Yeah, you see, when this meat loving foodie raves about hummus.... you know it's slim pickins' in food finds. And when tripadvisor ranks mega chains like TGIF and Chill's in their top 10 restaurant list, you know that you'll better off cooking yourself or staying on the cheap side if you eat out. For my fellow foodies, eat here to save money. Keep your dollars for disney or elsewhere. My foodie friend and I spent a week here and this was the best deal on meal in the area. We did our due diligence before coming to Florida and after 4 trips, we've declared this state a disaster zone for tasty food but a standout in customer service. This place did a little better in the food category but surpassed all the service that we've received anywhere in Florida, even at the pricey Crab and Fin down the street (or circle). This place is the ONLY place open late on St Armand Circle. And if you want to know where is everyone??? This key is full of early bird menu folks (a.k.a seniors). The hotels don't come under $250 per night and the crowd are in their 50 and up. This place was the only thing open at 11PM. The young crowd are 15 minutes away at Siesta Keys, where there's another branch of this resturant and bar.

You know what's fantastic? 2-for-1 daiquiris from 5 - 7 every day. You know what's not so fantastic? When the food you're eating it with is just okay. The good things about Daiquiri Deck are the drinks (although they didn't seem to have a ton of alcohol in them, so if that's what you're looking for, perhaps not for you.) and the staff. Everyone was incredibly nice and didn't rush our table of 9 on a Friday night when we were all coming and going at different times. However, the food was just alright. We got three appetizers - gator bites (everything fried tastes the same, just fyi), the lobster fondue (which was REALLY GOOD with huge chunks of lobster), and chicken nachos, which was a good size - the rest of the plates were kind of small to share. I noted that no one raved about their food. I also noted that my sister's dinner salad was made of iceberg. Ew. My panseared tuna was okay. The waitress asked if I was okay with it being cooked rare. Yeah, sure. But to me, rare isn't raw. And if it is raw, I don't want to bite through two inches of raw tuna. The fish was SO thick that it was just kind of gross to eat raw. But we had fun and the daiquiris were yummy with a wide selection.

The daquari's are good, but if you plan to go for food I would not recommend this place. The service was terrible. My mom had to send her food back three times and the manager did not understand what "well done" meant. The fries should not come out raw.

It was all around good bar food. Unfortunately, we didn't have any drinks, but they looked awesome. I had stone crab claws and onion rings. The onion rights were great, as were the crab claws, but they gave me regular yellow mustard with them, which is pretty gross. I used a different sauce, and they were still good. My dad had hamachi tacos, which were good, but small portion. My brother had wings and my mom had a burger, which were pretty standard. But the fries were the krinkly kind, definitely frozen out of a bag, which is disappointing. All around, okay but not great. I would suggest it for a quick cheap lunch though.

A great place for lunch, dinner, or a late snack, with a drinks, too. Their simple menu has great food. Loved the mahi mahii dinner--fish was fresh and good. Their chicken salad sandwiches are delicious. Staff is friendly, service is good. If the places wants a dive bar feel, it's too clean and nice. It's big and good for groups. Would recommend for a casual night with friends after the beach.

We ordered a dozen Deep Bay Oysters. When they arrived we could smell the plate without getting close. Took a whiff of each one and they all smelled like they were dead, some more than others. The waitress graciously took them back but said that's the way they are. We have had a lot of Oysters and know they are not suppose to smell like rotten fish! We were very surprised the management thought they were okay.

Visited there on a Friday afternoon. Service was good. All young hot chick servers. Ordered various seafood dishes. Food was 3.5 out of 5 stars, not great, but not bad. Nothing to write home about. We tried several of the famed Daquiris. They tasted good but I couldn't taste any booze in them at all. And believe me... I know! They have a few "high octane" daquiris on the menu but we didn't try those. There are a lot of other places to eat and drink at in the neighborhood which are a lot better, so I doubt I would go back. For GREAT food, try the SCOB oyster bar a couple of doors down. (Will write a separate review.)

This review is based off of Three Morning Breakfasts. Going to Lido Beach for vacation? Well you're most likely going to eat here for breakfast because there aren't many other places open for breakfast. Small menu. Good looking waitress' but do not expect them to smile in the morning!!!! I did everything to make them laugh or smile and they looked miserable! The last day we went they called us their VIPs because it was our third morning there. Still not a smile. The only person to smile and seem happy was the manager. The food is ok. Nothing to write home about. Three mornings in a row, and not one spoon was given to me when I had a coffee. I had to ask all three times. But again, there aren't many places to have a sit down breakfast over there, so this was the best place for it.

Drinks obviously great. Great atmosphere, nice, open and breezy after a day at the beach. Tasty concoctions with matching typical beach bar food options. The drinks and the atmosphere really make this place worth it.

Great food! My girlfriend and I went once while on vacation from out of state, but we had to go back a few more times because we liked it so much. A large, dynamic menu with good prices and amazing quality. There was also an extensive drink menu and some great deals, especially on "Lady's Night".

What was that old slogan for Baker's Square.... Come for the food, stay for the pie? At DD, I would say come for the drinks and go elsewhere for your meal. That about sums it up. Awesome frozen drinks... And lets face it, we all want a frozen drink at the beach! The food overall is just not that great. Except for the onion rings, those are good.

Went for drinks only sat upstairs on the covered "deck". The duo playing music was good. As someone else said really a spot for twenty-somethings, or maybe even eighteen somethings. I guess we were there at "happy hour". I ordered a pina colada and was served 2 pina coladas each in what seemed to be an 8 ounce plastic cup, no garnish, no whipped cream. Must have been machine produced- not much flavor, more like a snow cone. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the open air. Would opt for somewhere else for afternoon drinks next time in the area.

The food here is much better then the siesta one. We had the hummus which took a long time but it was good. The drinks are pricy but good. Sunday 3-7 they have live music and the guy who played was very good. I would definatly go here over their Siesta Key location.
