I've been here twice now and both was for Sunday brunch. The first time I came was for Easter Sunday and they had a full house. I was hung over so I did not get the bottomless drinks deal. However, I did order the Bang Bang Shrimp Eggs Benedict's which I thew up after. It was too heavy and the shrimp wasn't that that great. But I was hungover... To redeem myself from my first experience, the second time I came prepared to drink! They had bottomless mimosas, peach Bellini, or blackberry sangria. I stuck with the peach Bellini even though it was a little too sweet for me. I also ordered the surf and turf eggs Benedict which was okay. I ordered my steak med rare but it came out med well. There was barely any lobster in there. But as a side, I got the potatoes au gratin and those were my favorite! I don't usually eat and drink at the same time but I had about 4 drinks. We were one of the first ones there and the service was kind of slow. I recommend you order 2 drinks at a time if you're a fast drinker. Other items that my friends ordered was the Creme Brûlée French Toast, which was amazing, and the Beef and Egg burger, which was kind of dry. Overall this is an awesome deal, $20 for an entree and all you can drink! Food and service was okay but it's worth the money. Side note: I forgot my phone there and they had kept it for me in a safe.

I'm here on vacation, and on my first night in Florida we went out to eat here. I'd been to Bonefish before but this was a particularly good experience. The setting is nice: dim and inviting, though the brown paper over the tables looks a little cheesy. Definitely start with the Bang Bang shrimp appetizer (fried shrimp in a piquant creamy sauce); there wasn't a bite left among the four of us dining. As an entree, I had the grilled shrimp and scallops with lemon butter sauce, which made for a nice seafood welcome back to the state. Other members of the party had lobster-stuffed shrimp and were very satisfied. Tidy bathrooms, but whose brillint idea was it to mount the receptacles for sanitary product disposal at face height when one is seated? :/ Overall, a good choice for seafood in the area of University Town Center.

A decent upscale chain located in Sarasota that gets a crowd when the weather is nice. Has an outdoor patio area which is first come first served. If you sit out there you should stay there; many people were switching tables which threw off the servers. Food is pretty good. We ordered the calamari and I had the special grilled swordfish with pumpkin ravioli and a side of broccolini. Calamari had a good sauce but was quite salty in my opinion. Swordfish was good with a cheese spread on top along with the ravioli in a tomato sauce but also a bit salty. Broccoli was also good despite being.... You guessed it, salty. One thing that was not salty was our server. She definitely had her work cut out for her with the tables being difficult but she remained calm and did the best she could. As a server myself I give her lots of credit for being graceful under pressure. Next time I visit any of the bonefish locations, I'll just stick with my good ol bang bang shrimp!

Great to be back in the area to visit our favorite Bonefish. Bonefiah is one of our favorite chain restaurants. We are big fans of their Bang Bang Shrimp -- Especially on Wednesdays when it's on special price. Their Happy Hour delivers nicely priced house wines -- we're partial to the Le Terre Cellars Chardonnay. There are always great specials, and when nothing strikes our fancy we zero in on their phenomenal Sea Bass with mango salsa. During the high season you'll be advised to call a day or so in advance and make reservations.

Slightly below average today. I had the surf and turf burger and parm fries. It was a little bit smaller than I had expected. The tomato and onion were thicker than the beef. Overall taste was good, but pricey for what I got. She had the bang bang tacos with couscous. How do you go wrong. It was delicious and the couscous seems like a light healthy alternative. Always clean and professional service. We will be back for sure. I just won't have the Surf n Turf burger again. (had the regular burger last time with Applewood bacon and cheese and that was delicious)

Bonefish is one of our favorite chain restaurants. This one is as good as any we have been in. Service, food and atmosphere met our expectations. Certainly worth trying.

The Chilean Sea Bass is amazing. Seriously the best fish I've ever had. That is all! A+ to the chef!

If I could do zero I would. Expensive bad apple bees food. Used to be decent and it's gone down hill. Better choice for the money.

This is the second time we've eaten at this particular Bonefish and the second time the food has been mediocre and the service lousy. How long could it possibly take to throw a shrimp salad together? ? Apparently more than 35 minutes because that's how long we waited. Really disappointed.

The food never disappoints but the service is horrible. The hostesses always end up talking to each other and don't pay attention to their customers.

My dad and grandmother both have homes in Sarasota, and I'm down there a couple times each year. Being from Chicago, I'm spoiled in the sense that there are LOTS of delicious dining options just steps from my door. What has amazed me about restaurants in Sarasota is the lack of (good) fresh seafood places. Sure there are plenty of spots that will drop fish in a deep fryer and call it seafood, but that's not what I'm seeking when I'm in Florida. Of all the places I've frequented in SRQ, Bonefish has always been tops on my list. I've been going to Bonefish since 2007 (in fact, I didn't know it was a chain until our server mentioned that they were expanding in the Chicago area). We typically bring a large group of family and/or friends, and they've been very accommodating & accept reservations. I can't recall a time when the place wasn't packed, so keep that in mind if you're hoping to go last-minute. The food has never once disappointed and their wine/cocktail list is extensive among others in the area. As long as I keep visiting SRQ, I'll keep frequenting Bonefish.

The food is A+. The service varies from good to great. The prices are fair for the quality. I only take issue with one thing. Since their rise in popularity, it seems like all Bonefish Grille establishments are trying to cram too many people in. The seating is never appropriate anymore. No matter where you sit it's tight and crowded. My wife and I were literally in each other's lap. Fix the seating/crowding and you have a five star restaurant.

Prob the only chain that I like. Good ambiance and good place to go too. The food's good but nothing special. They're creative in coming up with new drinks but didn't really care for them. They seem mass market n not trendy at all. I'll still go here

Atmosphere: Great , Very Comfortable Price: Fair Service: Interesting Food: OK Party of 6 co-workers. Waiter forgot to put his contacts in and told us he cannot see to well and is trying not to spill or drop anything........Beyond that the service was good and timely. Wine was good! Sea Bass was just ok undercooked! Side of rice was good! I did love the Ahi Tuna appetizer could have had another for my meal. I'd go back but not to memorable.

We have dined at other BFG's and always had a good meal and good time. No so much with this place. We decided to sit outside as it was a beautiful evening, that was our first mistake. Our waiter was short with us, he made us feel we were imposing on him. We both ordered the Arctic Char , one with potatoes , and one on a special with pasta., and a bottle of white wine. The wine and salads were fine, the fish and potatoes were fine, the pasta with mixed vegetables was horrible . My wife is not a complainer , but it was something they should not have sent out of the kitchen for someone to eat. I called over the waiter , said his is terrible , I could have described it another way it was that bad. The waiter said, no one else complained , followed by , he did not make the dish, with a reply from me , and followed by , would you like to see the manager, I said yes. The manager apologized , agreed it not their usual quality, deducted the entire cost of one meal . The server would not serve us I guess, the manager brought us the check. I apologized for being a little blunt about the food . My wife was a server when all the work was done by the server, they brought the good to the table along with taking the order , and the busboy cleaned up the table. We always over tip, even if the service is so so, as we did this night . I or anyone visiting us will not visit this restaurant again, out of all the places we have dined at in the 90 days we have been in Sarasota, dinning out at least once daily, I'm not going to ruin a evening taking a chance on another bad waiter experience.

I have had excellent experiences with Bone Fish grill in the past and this was my first visit to this location. What a disappointment! I was expecting the same if not better of an experience. Half the order of bang bang shrimp was raw. I ordered the Maryland "like" crab cakes with mash potatoes. Server advises me the mash was burnt and it would take 25 minutes for a new batch so I went with the Parmesan fries. The crab cakes had no flavor, didn't taste fresh and perhaps even over cooked which was exactly how the French fries were with the Parmesan fried to the French fries to the point you couldn't even taste it. The 2nd platter was the fish of the day which was talapia which was presented burned in the outside and raw in the middle. Asian slaw was a bowl of wilted lettuce; definitely not what we were expecting. The fish of the day was redone, still under cooked. It was removed from the bill and ultimately discarded because it was terrible! Service could have been much better as well. Absolute epic fail at this location. We will not be returning!

One of my favorite places to eat! Every Wednesday is $5 bang bang shrimp!!! So good! They have new fresh menu items every week. Love all the fresh fish, bread, and wine. The place is always busy so call ahead and make a reservation. In door and out door seating and free samples while you are waiting.

Came in on a tuesday and they had all these lobster specials going on. Got the house cabernet which was surprisingly good. Ordered the sirloin and lobster tail dinner for 17$, not a bad price at all. The lobster was dry and the sirloin over cooked, but they upgraded me to a filet and brought a new tail out. Shit happens and they fixed it.

Good food, great drinks, NO vegetarian options. We went here with a party of eight including a four year old, partly because they are one of the few places in Sarasota to accept reservations and Yelp reviews said good for kids. Overall, the experience was positive and the food was tasty. However, the vegetarian in the group had to have a fairly plain salad as an entree. The winter white cranberry cosmo is a must if you like balanced bitter and sweet drinks. On the menu at Bonefish, their is a star next to the more popular items and this is one of them for good reason. It is great. We started with Bang Bang shrimp and edamame. Both are good. The shrimp are _ seriously_ breaded and slightly spicy. They are another popular item, but I only though it was good. Lighter breading to appreciate the shrimp with the same sauce would be better. The edamame were appropriately salted and slightly sugared. For an entree I had the grilled trout. It was excellent. The seasoning was light and let the flavor of the fish dominate. I got the sauce on the side, which was the right call. The lemon butter sauce is tasty but very rich and the fish was just delicious without it. I dipped a couple pieces for variety but enjoyed most of the large fillet alone. Someone ordered the imperial stuffed trout(?) which was very tasty also. I tried a piece. It seemed to have a cheese or heavy bechamel sauce holding it together. The sauce was good but rich. I thought it added to the dish, but also covered some of the multiple other flavors. Service was very good and the ambiance was boisterous, appropriate for a Saturday night dinner. They provide a set of crayons and color-able menu for children, and the table is covered in brown paper so the budding artist can go wild. As I said at the beginning, there are no vegetarian entrees. Their menu is online and I should have checked it more extensively beforehand because it was a bit of a buzzkill. I might go back for a reliable good meal or try some other places in hopes of finding a rare gem. I would definitely not bring vegetarians here.

So Bonefish is Bonefish typical big box corporate chain restaurant with zero personality. Think Outback for fish. (owned by the same corporation) Blooming Onion = Bang Bang shrimp There's a BJs wholesale club in the same plaza. You'd be better off walking around and getting free samples. Sometimes they have fish sticks!!! Now, if you want good seafood find the Lucky Pelican.

I was visiting friends and family, decided to took them out for dinner, they picked the place. Place was crowded, had a good vibe. People from all ages and ethnicity. Seems to be a good hangout place. Service was very good. Bam Bam Shrimp was very good, Sea Bass excellert, Wolf fish so so. Filet Mignon steak was NOT good (what do you expect from a seafood place?) The meat was very fibrous, I do not know where the get their meat. if it werent for the bad steak, I would have given them 4 stars

I have to say, I'm not always a chain of big corporate chains but this place pulls it off and they are always packed. Food is good and consistent. They have an excellent wine selection and the service is always professional (this is difficult to find in Sarasota it seems). A lot of the staff has been there for years which I guess says something about the management. This is a solid go-to for a mid-priced nice meal out.

I went here tonight with my parents after having some fun doing some real estate investing looking. Overall the food was good although my father was disappointed with his meal (an assessment I would agree with after trying his meal). The biggest concern we had was that it took an exceptionally long time for our meals to come out. We waited almost 1 1/2 hours for our main dishes to arrive, but I want to applaud the manager Jarrett who came by before we had our food to apologize for the delay and then checked in after we had our food to ensure all was well. He even covered some of our food and drinks because we had to wait longer than is acceptable. This helped to turn what could have been a frustrating and disappointing dinner into a good experience because we do understand that sometimes things happen and the problems were handled well by the staff. As for my assessment of food and drinks, the Manhattans my parents had and my martini were both well made and had a fair amount of alcohol. We also had the Bang Bang shrimp for an appetizer which I would highly recommend. I ordered the Salmon special with spinach, gorgonzola and bacon which was well prepared and delicious. The potatoes au-gratin were good, although I prefer my au-gratin potatoes to be scalloped and these were cut into cubes. My mother ordered the scallops and shrimp in lemon butter sauce which she said was cooked well and delicious. My father had the wolffish special, which was billed as a sweeter version of your typical white fish. He and both agreed it was basically cod, nothing special. and a bit disappointing. Overall, even with the long wait, the meal was good and enjoyable. To read my parents assessment of their meals, they will be updating their website at Q-TipsReviews.com in the next few days.
