Near Perfect. Only reason I couldn't give it a perfect score was I was late arrival. Maybe 40 minutes before closing. I was alone. Got a table. Enjoyed a delicious bowl of chowder and my angus burger was top notch. Service was great. But the employees cleaned and swept and started closing up around me while I tried to finish my meal. So I felt a little rushed to finish and in the way. Other than that I would highly recommend this or any bonefish grill.

I have had some excellent food at Bonefish. I have had some okay food at Bonefish. I need to check out their bar bites menu. I heard someone ordering oysters and shrimp and that sounded awesome to me without having to order a whole meal!

This is a quality chain restaurant providing very good valued meals and drinks.Service is generally pleasant and food is properly flavored. I've enjoyed this location on numerous times and tonight was no exception. We were served by Vanessa, who has style, smiles, and personality to spare. What a delight she was, and really made our night positive. The dally specials are a great way to go as the price includes a salad and dessert (easily shared). Happy hour drinks are half off. Tonight's mains were Oscar Turbot ($27 fixe price ) and Artic Char, $19; both delicious. We look forward to returning to this great standby.

Crowded on the Wednesday night of easter week. Despite being told a 20 minute wait for a booth, we were seated in less than 5 minutes in one of the 4 open visible booths! When will restaurant owners tell their hostesses that live people should be given more attention than a computer screen? Two ladies at the desk were more focused on their screen than greeting us. Luckily after we were seated, Matt was our server and took great care of us! We were there early enough for happy hour cocktails that did not disappoint! I chose the price fix special of shrimp and scallops hotpot that was great! Side Caesar was not overdressed, entree was great and the mini-doughnut/beignet dessert was a great finish to the meal. My dining companion had fish and liked her meal as well. My first visit to a Bonefish, can see it would be busy in season, but there was a great bar area to wait. Check it out!

I was craving my ahi tuna. It was very tender and I love the peach sauce they put on it. I savored each bite. I love this place!

Today, we had excellent service and enjoyed the Bang Bang Shrimp special ($6). This chain restaurant location is typically busy. Parking can be a challenge. The bar is always busy but not too noisy.

One of the best semi casual restaurant chains, & possibly the best for fresh fish dishes. Their tuna, either as a rare steak or sliced in the Asian tuna bowl is outstanding. Their Chilean sea bass, salmon, lobster roll, shrimp & other seafood dishes are excellent. One of the few chains that do jasmine rice perfectly, comparable with most Thai restaurants. Sides, salads & soups don't disappoint, & they have a full array of desserts, too. Many chicken & steak dishes, too. Consistent in my experience from location to location.

Wow came in on a Tuesday was in town for work, they have 15$ 3 course special WOW. Every dish was amazing. Drinks are great. Service is impeccable. Support this place. Yes yes yes please I will most likely be back tomorrow.

Why is this place so crowded? WHY?? I don't get what the draw is. WAY overpriced for what you get. Never again!!

The bang bang shrimp tacos are always to die for. So delicious. Our waiter was very flustered. It seemed like he was having a hard time keeping up with multiple tables at 6pm. Maybe he was new.

Definitely worth going if you're looking for seafood. The ahi-tuna appetizer is very good and worth getting. I have always ordered the mussels and used the bread to dip in the sauce that the mussels are in, but lately the sauce has been of less quantity and quality. Still good though.

The service was amazing I loved our waitress!!! Served near the bar and she had brown hair with glasses. But the bang bang shrimp was the worst I have ever had before!! And my martini only has half a rim.

We had a reservation and even thought the place was packed on a Friday night we were seated with in a few minutes. Unfortunately, that is the last real positive thing I will say about this dinner experience. Nothing was really bad, however, in this day of many many choices of places eat, Bonefish grill was just not good on this night. The service was ok, but nothing that I could point out as even above average. We had to ask to have our drinks refilled. Empty dishes sat in front of us much longer than they should have. The food was very mediocre at best. I do not think my fish was fresh at all. The over all portions were very small. Mean while the prices were on the high end for what should have been quality seafood. This sad combination of circumstances has lead us in the direction of not returning anytime soon.

I tried this place. It has lots of parking. Nice looking place. I'm from out of state and didnt knew about it. It seems like an exquisite spot by the way the staff and service is. Until i found out its a chain restaurant. The crab cakes here are very good.

Sorry Bonefish ( Sarasota), but the bang bang shrimp was a bummer. Coconut shrimp was tasty, but 6oz. Steak was a dud. We had good service, but it was noisy and felt hurried.

The Food gets 5 stars our server (not the manager or hosts, they were perfect) gets 1, so this averages out to 3 stars. Food: Bang Bang Shrimp is fantastic. Bread they give you with oil is lovely. I had the shrimp/scallops and you can sub shrimp for all scallops or vice versa. I also tried the lobster soup, and WOW! Strawberry and goat cheese salad was wonderful. Good wine list and good margaritas. Host staff was lovely and accommodating. We were too chilly indoors, so they happily re-seated us outside and the manager jumped right to it and turned on the heat lamps. They were friendly, jumped at every request and were just hands down aiming to please. But once we got out to the patio, unfortunately, the service took a turn for the worse. Service on patio was horrendous. One of the workers from the restaurant was standing just outside the railing smoking and chatting up the patio servers. Our server did not refill our water glasses once or offer us a refill on our wine. When we asked him for more bread, he did not bring more oil. He did not check on us at all because he was too busy chatting to the gentleman blowing smoke at us during our meal. Will definitely go back and just avoid that server and likely our experience will be perfect!

Smells very fishy in there and not as nice as the one on University Park. We sat down and then left. Couldn't handle the smell.

My husband and I went to this location for an early dinner. The first issue was the salads. They were soggy and tasted as if they'd been sitting in a refrigerator for a few hours. I politely explained this to the waitress. She actually acted as she was going to cry. She then asked if we would like anything else to replace them. I politely declined her offer. Next was the entrees. My husband was given a side that he specifically asked not to be included. To be quite frank, that was the least of my worries because the rare seared Tune that I'd ordered appeared gray in color. Upon closer observation, I realized that it was spoiled. Again, I informed the waitress. She seemed annoyed, but not annoyed enough to send a manager over. She did however remove the unsatisfactory items from our bill. With the exception of one salad and the side that wasn't supposed to be included. By this point, my husband and I were over the entire situation. He paid the bill without complaint and we left. In hind sight, I should've asked to speak to a manager. God only knows what other spoiled items they're serving to their customers. I will not be back to this location and I seriously doubt I will ever return to any other bonefish due to this experience.

I come to Bonefish Grille almost every time I come down to Sarasota. I find the atmosphere to be upbeat and fun. It's definitely a 'happening' place, especially on weekend nights. We usually sit at the bar or the tables in the bar area. The cocktails are good as is the wine list. The food is consistent good as well - especially the fish/seafood specials. I used to like the bang bang shrimp but find them a bit heavy (breaded, fried, and then smothered in a yummy sauce). The tuna appetizer is much lighter and just as delicious. Friendly service. Note - the the place to go if you want a quiet uncrowded dinner.

For the most part I can overlook the horrible wait long past what we were quoted But this is the first time I have been disappointed in the food for this bonefish the tuna appetizer was mealy and came with 4 end pieces as they just pushed 2 smaller orders together The tuna did Not have a healthy color as well. The main dishes were not better the Chilean sea bass was over cooked the shrimp and scallops were not as good and seemed Old will not come to this bonefish again

I don't know whats everyone's beef with this place is. I went to this bonefish late Sunday night. Everything was clean and neat. As far as the fish smell goes it's no more then any other seafood restaurant you'd find yourself at. Our server was Amber, she was amazing. Very nice and helpful. She even was understanding about moving us to a different table, because a couple behind us were kicking their feet. Weird for a couple of that age but whatever. Typically, if I order something new and I don't like it I won't say anything and live with my decision. However, Amber was quick to catch on that I hadn't enjoy my food choice. Without me saying one word or complaint she went a head and took it off the bill even though it wasn't the food, it's was quiet literally me lol. She was patient and gave good recommendations (except the tilapia) haha. Amber is the best sever there. If you go you'd be so lucky to get her to serve your table. Everyone's right do yourself the favor and order the bang bang shrimp appetizer.

So, as expected, great service. Reasonably priced drinks, appetizers and meal. The bar was hopping like any of the bonefish Grill locations I have experienced in Jax Beach, Mandarin, Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando. However, they had FOX news on one of their TV's? I guess some people asked that sports be put on, and the Staff changed it. But then a group of "regulars" got all up in arms and insisted the staff put FOX back on? Mind you, With no sound on! Who needs politics in that environment? Come on folks, it is Christmas and a happy time of the year. Needles to say, the food was above average and consistent chain food, we knew what to expect and were not disappointed. Consistent as always!

I really like the atmosphere here but the food itself is just a-OK. Nice decor and friendly waiters welome you as you walk in the door. My grandpa got the coconut shrimp which next time I think I need to get or at least share with him. They looked amazing! My house salad was good but took significantly longer than the shrimp to bring out which I don't understand. For an entree I got the diablo shrimp pasta and holy spicy! I know diablo means fire but geez. I ate less than half and was full but didn't take the rest home. It is in a creamier sauce which I didn't think would reheat well. I keep forgetting how $$$ NYC is compared to everywhere else because I thought our meal here was reasonably priced - 1 drink, 1 app, 1 salad, 2 entrees for just over $50.

Excellent meal. This place is packed nightly. They only accept a limited number of reservations a day. Otherwise its first come first serve. Don't fret you can enjoy the bar and appetizers while you wait for your table. Food was excellent. Service excellent. Drinks excellent. Highly recommend.

I have been hoarding gift cards for a year or so now and finally got around to putting a dent into them. I put it off because I know what to expect at most major chains. While some people might consider Bonefish fine dining I have been around the block to know what to expect and they never failed. I have a problem with if I can taste something and tell how they did it then odds are they didn't do a good enough job. Thanks to yelp I cant seem to go anywhere without thinking "How would I rate this meal to help someone pick their last supper". Hahaha The service was great. There was a long wait so my party and I went outside to sit in the patio while we waited to be paged. They were very prompt and the service was great while we waited. We enjoyed a beer and was offered an appetizer while we waited but politely declined. Ok after being seated we ordered. I started with acoconut shrimp appetizer. The coconut shrimp was nice and crunchy on the outside yet kind of tough and leathery on the inside. When I say tough could tell it was as if it was breaded at a production plant and frozen then shipped. The downfall of the consistency of chains! Most of the fish on the menu was tilapia which is weird. How can a place that touts their seafood base the menu on such a generic fish? Ah well I sucked it up and went for the Longfin Tilapia Imperial. I started by eating the fish without the sauce just to get a taste for it. Pretty bland and not much flavor but then again that's tilapia! The sauce was so rich that you couldnt tell that it had little scallops and shrimps in it. The richness pretty much steamrolled any flavor in all the fish. For 18 dollars I was anything but impressed. Service was great but the food is less than impressive.

Oh Micky, your so fine! So, the wife and I landed here as our second choice for the evening of our anniversary being that our first was closed on Mondays during the off season. Drinks and apps came with quick and friendly service. Our meals however were on the slow boat to China. It took 40 minutes to get them but, they were presented to us by the GM himself with humble apologies and at no charge to us. Score right? Wait, it gets better. My sides were a bit tepid when they arrived and upon checking back with us this guy brought me a plate of each of them, steaming hot. Nice right? There is more! In passing conversation we mentioned our anniversary and our desert was presented to us along with 2 glasses of champagne and a lovely, chocolate and strawberry sauce written, "Happy 2nd Anniversary" accompanied by, chocolate covered strawberries. When it came time to settle the bill, our waitress told us there was none. I know right? Talk about great customer service! They could have fed us gravel and I still would have been happy! The pork chop was excellent. The wife was pleased with her salmon and, the creme brulee was great. The GM's name was Micky ( hence the title of the review ). With service like that I will be sure to make a return visit!

We go to the Bonefish on Tamiami in Sarasota. Consistently good. They are welcoming, courteous. Servers are well informed and responsive, engaging without trying to take over your conversation. Food is of excellent quality (great lumpy crabcakes, and of course the bang-bang shrimp-tuna sashimi also good) Have been several times, and the food was always excellent. Their pricing is happily below market on most of their entrees--you always feel like you received good value. They have the owner/general manager model of management, and I think that always makes a difference in how the customer is valued and treated. The GM here, Micky, is very present and interacts cordially and effectively with guests. Do make a reservation--the place is always very busy. You can ask for a quieter table in the rear part of the restaurant. We'll be back.

Not a fan of eating at chain in the first place.... Could it be that Bonefish is part OSI RESTAURANT PARTNERS, LLC ??? even though we buy and trade stocks it is by far the yuckiest (is that a word?) food I have ever eaten. Can you say GARLIC to disguise the frozen fish/seafood! I have tried it 4 or 5 times and each time I have not felt well after my dinner. Holy Bang Bang mayo and breading, the last time I ate at Bonefish I had the Diablo Shrimp Fettuccine, it tasted like capers and garlic on pasta, they must have had cup of capers and 10 cloves of garlic in the dish. WOW I swear I could taste it the following weekend. Nice atmosphere, good house wines, by the time we were seated on our last visit the waitress was drunk (at least she had a good time), go figure, one and a half to two hour waits for not so great food, will not be going back ever again

We had excellent service. The food is pretty good and consistent here. Pretty much anything that has their lemon butter sundried tomato sauce on it wil be awesome.

My boyfriend and I came in for a special promotion from American Express while staying the weekend in Sarasota. The promotion was for two 4-course dinners for $36. We got to share an appetizer of their bang bang shrimp. The portion was very generous, but their was just a little to much spicy cream sauce for my taste. Presentation was nice though. Then we each got to have a salad. For entree, my boyfriend had Pan Asian tilapia with rice and the veggie of the day. I had tilapia with mango salsa, the veggie of the day, and French green beans. For dessert, the waiter was kind enough to let us sub-out the offered brownie sundae for their special of the day: coconut custard pie. Boy, did that make my boyfriend happy. He loves himself a brownie sundae but the coconut sounded way to good to pass up, and we were right. There was just the right amount of custard at the bottom, but it was basically a giant coconut macaroon. It was served with a rum caramel sauce that really put it over the top. It was the perfect dessert to top off a pretty good meal. I'd definitely return to check out their locations closer to home.

Yes, it's a chain. No, you won't mistake this for Nobu, but the food is good, the service is good, the prices are reasonable, and it's consistent. Went there tonight after a disastrous outing at Thai Bistro and was grateful that the food was good. Sarasota is a desert of good eating and Bonefish Grill is one little oasis.

Back again with friends who had not tried Bonefish yet! So nice to take people out knowing the service, food and ambiance will be right on target. So many more menu options than in the past plus lots of specials. We really had a hard time choosing which of the many offerings for our dinner. Cocktails were fabulous- winter Cosmo was beautiful and tasty. Lemon drop martini perfectly prepared. Great wait staff and buzzing atmosphere.

Can't go wrong with any of their appetizers, especially fond of the dumplings, mussells, and creamy shrimp. Decent happy hour specials and nice apmosphere. Love how the lounge plays the 80s tunes.

I'll start by saying that I really like Bonefish and am pretty impressed with them as a whole. I've eaten at this loctaion several times and had great experiences. Last night was just a bit off. First off, they no longer have white table cloths at this location. Thye have moved to a brown vinyl picnic table type quality. Don't know if that is new at this location, but I noticed it last night. Yes, I am aware that is snobby and in no way affected my meal. I just noticed. I ordered the ceaser and noticed they had switched from fresh shaved parmesean to the powdered from a can type. Just kind of a dissapointing step down from what I expected. It wasn't a bad experience, but a bummer since I think so highly of them as a chain.

Just stopped in for a chardonnay and dessert....the bonefish Jamaican coconut pie is the best!!!! We sat at the bar and the service was excellent.

The BoneFish Grill chain on the Trail is fine if you sit at the bar, pass on the entrees and order the appetizers. The Bang Bang Shrimp is always delicious, the mussels are usually fresh tasting, the salads are fresh, the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos are phenomenal, the home fried potato chips delish, the drinks and wines are good. Problem is that the service is awfully slow and robotic, the wait for a glass of wine is ridiculous, makes me wonder if they're stomping on the grapes, making it in the cellar, and waiting for it to age. Really!
