I didn't dine in but went through the drive-thru. I ordered the double stack burger with bacon. Delicious, Steak n' Shake never fails. It's my favorite fast food burger joint. With Wendy's in a close second. I love their fries. Bottom line the drive-thru is quick and friendly. Their burgers are quite good.

I've never had worse service. Anywhere. Ever. We waited ten minutes to be seated and waited more than twenty after ordering and we never even got our shakes. There were plenty of employees around doing nothing while we waited.

I've visited a few times and things are always okay. Nothing extremely special, this location offers your typical fast food diner experience. I've had a few of the menu items including the shooters, hot dogs, cheeseburger, fries and cookies. All were pretty tasty, especially the hot dog and strawberry milkshake. You can dine in, take out or use the drive thru. The service is always fairly quick and pleasant.

Horrible service! !!! We were out as a family for dinner and decided to stop here last minute... Wrong Choice! !! We walked in and we're standing unacknowledged ..staring at 2 employees on their phone in the bar.... one of the cooks talking to them. ... the manager was at the cash register and COMPLETELY ignored us!!! After a few minutes he said he will be right with us.... minutes later my husband asked if we would be seated.... at that point I decided to walk out! Absolutely horrible experience!!!! Will never give them my business ! We came to Ale House next door to very friendly / prompt service

IMMEDIATE Corporate oversight needed. I Love Steak n' Shake but this place sucks. There's a long time regular waitress who's just plain awful. The teen waitstaff are worse - expect all manner of mistakes. They're chronically out of to go large tea cups. While pulling up to the drive thru window yesterday, an off duty employee wedged himself between my car and the window to give the window clerk a few cigarettes for a couple of bucks. At first, I was sort of alarmed someone would walk up between my car and the drive through window. The window clerk apologized and I told him he could make up for it by discounting my shake. He did after yelling to his friend who was now across the parking lot that he had to pay for my shake. Unsafe and potentially litigious. Made me uncomfortable. And Very unprofessional. .

The food is awful my wife's BLT was stale bread a thin as cheese 3/4 slice of tomato and a inch slice of bacon not two or three one bacon. My burger bun was stale and the fries cold and tasteless . I should have taken a hint when two separate customers verbally expressed there distaste of the food to the manager. Unfortunately the wait staff who were outstanding set of people and didn't do anything wrong gets the brunt of the complaints from the customers . Although I am aware the wait staff does not cook my food or give discounts for bad food bad cooks or an uncaring manager there stuck in the middle . Bottom line I don't recommend eating here.There are better places to eat at, that have better prices.

I was getting ready to write a review for this place and I was surprised to see all the negative reviews already posted. I'd been here a lot and never had any problems. But then I realized that I usually go through the drive-through, and when I do go inside I come late at night (2am or later). It's usually so dead at that time that it'd be hard to get anything but good service. Anyways, I decided to come one more time before reviewing. We came at a normal time, around 9:30pm. We were seated quickly and our drink orders were taken before we even finished being seated. Our food order was taken very quickly as well, however they were out of salad mix so that meant none of the salads were available. That was all that my wife had wanted so she had to quickly choose something else. Not that big of a deal. The waitress was quick on the refills and there were definitely no problems directed towards our table in regards to what the other reviewers mentioned. I think it's just luck of the draw, however, because another table which was seated and had all their drinks before we even walked in the door (which means they were there for at least a little while before we were) didn't even get their food until we were already almost halfway through our meal. It seemed like they were forgotten about. So I definitely witnessed what other reviewers are talking about, though it didn't personally happen to me or my table. Oh yeah and while the service was good, the waitress overshot herself a bit on the tip, costing herself a dollar. I don't remember the exact numbers of our bill, but I paid with a 20 and my change ended up being $7 and some coins. When she brought it to me, she handed me a five and 2 singles, plus the coins. Unless she was expecting a $5 tip or more, that should have been broken into all singles. In fact I've never met a waitress who didn't follow this normal protocol. So left with a choice of a $5 tip (a 40% tip) or $2 and some coins (just at 20%, a little less than the normal 25% I try to leave), I of course left the 2 singles and coins. Had she broken it properly, or at the very least not disappeared before I could ask her to do so, she would have gotten $3 and the coins. But yeah, anyways, I still have to say this place isn't quite as bad as the negative reviews make it seem.

Incredible experience!!! We were seated immediately and our server came right over with a large smile. She was very knowledgable and made great suggestions. I had the new burger which was awesome. I don't know what's up with previous reviews but that seems like a completely different place. We are definite lifers now.

I've only gone through the drive thru for this location and I must say I avoid coming here. Being a recent college grad, I'm used to eating late and this is one of the few places that are open. And a shame it is, that I really contemplate to myself, whether to eat or waste money on food that I know won't be satisfying. The fries here are consistently cold. And not only are they always cold, they're always old too. I must say I like the burgers ONLY because they're unique (the western burger I love!) and I can get something other than the usual beef and cheese. But other than that, don't waste your time with the drive thru, unless u just want something to put in your stomach.

So bad - how can an established, well-known, well-run, profitable chain of restaurants have such a perfect location and not do anything about their non-existent service? Read the other review - thought maybe the guy just had a bad day - no, unfortunately, it wasn't - he had things spot-on. The lack of recognition and the messy tables and the general inattentiveness while we sat and sat and sat being ignored for 12 minutes, while folks climbed over and around us, made us think we were invisible. Then our waitperson came to take our dessert order - excuse me? We did finally get our food, and both of us got what we came for: a hot, jucy burger; but the fries were headlamp warm. I wonder if anyone in charge ever goes by this location to evaluate the troops? Uniquely bad compared to many other S-n-S's we've eaten at - hard to understand. Maybe this is a stellar drive-through location without any thought given for inside dining - just really, really hard to understand.
