My wife and I go there every other week. The food is always freshly made and plentiful. Fajita Friday is are favorite, where can get fajitas for 2 for under $20. Taco Tuesday is great also. Authentic tacos, not those fast food type and its all you can eat.

Had to go a few times, decided to come in for dinner tonight. I sat at the bar, pleasantly surprised how quickly what I ordered come out. Starting with chips and salsa, to my margarita. Right behind my came my steak fajita. Very tasty and you could still hear the sizzle. Food was great. Service was friendly and quick. What more can you want from a local business. And being a business owner, from what I can tell my is kept very clean. Can't wait to come back and try other items.

I give it 4 stars because it's tough to find quality Mexican in Florida. I am from Denver and they are know for incredible Mexican on every corner. Chips and salsa are great and free Combos are priced affordable and yes I'll pay 1 more dollar for an extra chimichanga. Staff is nice. There can be a language barrier sometimes because a lot of their staffs first language is Spanish. I always take this as a good sign. I always get shrimp a la crema, they took it off the menu but still make it for me. Food is fresh fast and delicious.

Great hot food Great service every time. Loving the margaritas. I have been coming here for years and is always as great as the last.

My check-in explains the two star. Normally we love eating at this place but last weekend was slow service, no extra napkins were remembered by the waitress and now today a fly in the rice. She was very apologetic and made my son a new meal but the wait time was quite extensive for his food after we were all pretty much done. The bill came and no reduction to that meal, which for that situation is pretty unusual. Not saying we will not go again since out of 10 or so visits these were the only problems.

Came back for the forth time just two days ago. Not sure what exactly happened. Prices were much higher than before, two people and the bill was over $30. Food was not worth it at all. The tortilla chips before were excellent, nice thin, and warm. This time they were thicker, way over cook and pretty bad tasting. The rice was flavorless, but the steak was great. Taco shell was stale, chicken had no flavor. I can't say we will return...

Just aggravated that the service hasn't gotten better! 10 guys hover in the back and watch and chit chat....

We eat there regularly and I usually order the "Real Mexican Tacos" with steak. They remind me of San Antonio, Texas.

Great margaritas and fajitas. Restaurant is clean, but the interior is nothing special.

We came in for the first time for Fajita Friday, as recommended by a handful of close friends. I ordered a Mango Margarita. I asked for the small, but they brought me a large. They offered to take it back but I kept it, and it was pretty delicious. Chips come with the meal. They were cold (not freshly fried), but they were thin, crispy, and not stale, which I feared might be the case when we saw the large vat of chips that they were pulling them from. It was even more weird when we saw the chips were being refilled by a plastic trash can of chips. I imagine the trash can was clean, but it was still a weird mental thing to see chips coming out of a trash can. The chips came with a carafe of salsa, and a small bowl to pour it in. I did love that they gave you a carafe. The salsa was FANTASTIC. Not too spicy, creamy and chunky, not watered down. Both my husband and I were impressed. We ate 2 baskets and a full carafe before our food came. Normally, I pass on the chips, but the salsa was pretty good. As for the fajitas, we opted for a mix, half steak, half chicken. The platter was advertised "fajitas for two" for $12. We were plenty surprised to actually get two separate side plates of beans, rice, and fajita toppings (i.e. sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, lettuce, etc). We were thinking we'd get one large plate. It was nice to actually have our own plates of full sized accoutrements. I definitely felt the rice and beans were better seasoned than what you'd get at a typical Chili's. The steak was perfectly seasoned. The chicken was on the saltier side and much spicier. There were more onions and peppers than there was steak and chicken. Honestly, there wasn't enough meat for 2 people. It was slightly less meat than what you would get in a normal fajita plate from Chili's. Considering it was $12 (about the same price as a single fajita plate from Chili's) and two side plates, the price wasn't that bad and the beans, rice and fajitas were pretty tasty. Overall, the service was great, the food was delicious and decently priced. It is definitely not a high-class restaurant, but if you want good fajitas for a good deal on Friday, I highly recommend.

Tonight's visit included great service and tasty food. Chips and salsa were fresh with a nice flavor. I had shrimp tacos and the hubby had a supreme burrito. We both enjoyed them. Mine came with a steaming pot of black beans with cojita cheese crumbles. Tacos were flavorful. You get 3. No complaints. Will definitely be back.

By far the best Mexican restaurant in Brevard county. Their real mexican tacos are delish and their queso is awesome. The service is great and all of my servers were friendly. We are repeat customers and will be back. Full bar makes for a happy lady! :)

Awesome food! The real Mexican tacos are delicious. The margaritas are strong. The only complaint is that sometimes the chips are soaked/saturated in oil and don't taste as good. Other than that, great food and friendly staff. Maria is my favorite.

I have visited this restaurant three times hoping for a better experience. Instead each meal was worse than the one before. Most recently I went on a Friday for a late lunch at 3:00 PM. There were only two other tables of patrons so I can't make an excuse that they were busy. The pork carnitas were incinerated to the point of being hard and inedible. The dish looked nothing like the picture on the menu. Service was not friendly and the waitress disappeared for long stretches of time. I had to flag her down to request sour cream and again for another drink. On none of the three visits did any server ever return to the table and ask me if I liked my meal. I'm convinced they are afraid to ask because they can see the poor quality of the food when they serve it and how much they scrape into the trash at the end of the meal. On this occasion the server actually slid the plate onto the table and kept walking, giving the hot plate warning over her shoulder. The Margaritas were OK but overpriced at almost $8 each. The salsa was very good but not good enough for me to consider ever going back.

Three for a mixed review. Initially I was very impressed. The place is clean in a new sort of way as is the decor sparse. The service was attentive and adequate, not overly friendly but I felt my business was appreciated. The salsa was very good, probably made in house like the chips but maybe they used the recipe for Pace Picante Sauce? I liked it. And the chips were warn and crispy. No shredded beef? My cheese enchilada had a sweet taste to it, my chicken taco while having incredible flavor fell apart quickly and I ate it first. Now the real problem is the chimichanga. It was flat and covered in a slice of cheese. It was either not deep fried at all or was mostly undercooked. Sad because the pork was really very flavorful. The rice was actually impressive but the black beans would have been better from a can. I would maybe try this place again but because two of my favorites came up quite short I will probably risk another bad review somewhere else then pay for what I got here which was mostly disappointment.

Had lunch here a few times and it was ok. Had dinner here last night and it was fantastic. My new favorite Mexican spot and unquestionably best in Brevard. The guacamole, Cadillac Rita's, and the carne asade were tops. Anyone giving this place less than four stars doesn't know what Mexican is supposed to taste like. If you like authentic Mexican food, this place is it. Period.

Pretty darn good. Pleasantly surprised - first descent Mexican food since we moved here from Chicago area. Margaritas were pretty good, salsa was great. My husband's Mexican style chorizo tacos were AWESOME! Well-priced.

I love true mexican food and this place has IT. When I eat out it is usually Mexican. This place although out of the beaten path located on Barton in Rockledge it is worth the drive. The menu specificly offers "Real Mexican Taco" vs the ground beef hard tacos every other place has. And they are even made with homemade tortillas which is unheard of in this area. It is obvios that the salsas are made fresh, you can savor the difference... They have great drinks specials all the time. Including 2 for one at the bar all the time. They could do a little better to consistent I must say and it is surely not a fine dining restaurant... Overall, it is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in the area.

We have came to this restaurant from the first location on Hwy 1 to the move to the old Pizza Hut and now here - it was GREAT then under the La Bamba name but I don't think we will be back - food was mediocre at best - very disappointed - must be a different chef

I've been coming here since their first location, that teeny tiny little orange shack on US1. This is definitely the best Mexican food on the space coast and I can say that with certainty and confidence. I've tried really hard to find a good place since moving from Los Angeles (the Mecca of Mexican aside from Mexico) Ok let's get to the recommendations. Tacos, salsa, chips, tortilla soup, tostada and guacamole. The tacos aren't exactly the most authentic ever, but very good. Salsa is really very good, fresh and not too spicy. Chips are warm although I'm not sure of their origin. Tortilla soup is really incredible. Possible best I've ever had. And tostadas are very good! Tons of goodies. Guacamole is good although lacking a little in the salt department.

Very bad service on Taco Tues, waitress never checked on how our food was, much less offer to bring more of "all you can eat" tacos. Had to ask for everything, water, straws etc. Waited over 10 minutes for the check. Liked them as La Bamba, most likely won't go back. Food was okay, service was so bad it ruined the evening.

Slow service then wanted to get chicken fajitas and warier said they had steak and chicken fajitas. I asked for just chicken and he said ok.. About 15 minutes later came to tell me would be out soon.. Another 10 minutes he came out and said chief said only chicken and steak no jut chicken. At that point I said ok.. Another 10 minutes food came out. Chicken tasted like strip chicken from package in a red sauce and steak... Well was some kind of beef I think but again in red sauce and had poor taste. Will say the salsa and chips were good.

Im giving La Bamba 4 stars for the food alone. Their lunch specials are wonderfully priced and amazing portions. Their Fajita burrito is amazing. The only down side was the service. Our server had no personality. He didnt smile barely looked up at us and was no where to be found when our drinks were empty (Their free salsa is pretty caliente) The food took longer than expected to come out but I understand things happen. I heard other servers with their tables and they seemed very friendly and attentive so maybe our server was having a hard day. Either way you need to check them out for their food!!!

Excellent sangria. Service was good - attentive and friendly staff. Great lunch specials. Salsa is terrific!

Between the bad paint job and lack of decoration I was disappointed in the atmosphere. We ordered stuffed burritos with a choice of beans, which we thought would come on the side. They put the refried beans in the burritos. Bummer. I usually don't comment on free items but the chips and salsa were very good. Also, there were no drink specials. We'll stick with El Tucan on Merritt Island.

I'm being kind in this review, should be a NEGATIVE 3! Worst experience EVER!! I've been a regular with this company for over 8 years, and quality has gone down and down over the last 2 years (maybe because they move locations SO MUCH). My last (and I mean LAST) experience was HORRIBLE. My brother and I ALWAYS get the same thing (carnitas and chili relleno), the last few times we went, the portions got smaller and smaller, until the last visit. They served us FAT ( and I mean Fat) not pork and the cheese in the relleno was rancid. I let the manager know and he did NOTHING! Too bad, they could have saved face by discounting the ticket, but didn't. I will not recommend this establishment to ANYONE, any more! Good luck with that food poison there serving now.

Had a great experience at this new restaurant! Great service, very clean, and delicious food. The chicken taco salad was the perfect size with generous portions of fajita chicken, fresh guacamole, lettuce, cheese, and pico de gallo. Definitely coming back soon!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
