OMG!!! I was stationed in Naples, Italy for four years and since I returned to the States 20 years ago, I have longed for an authentic Italian restaurant and have search all across the country and have been disappointed wherever I've gone. As I was driving by, I noticed this restaurant and although it looked unassuming; it was right next to the hotel I'm staying in so decided to give it a shot. I was planning to get a "to go" order and come back to my room however once I walked in and discovered the ambiance, decided to sit down and enjoy the experience. Before I was seated, I asked the host if they could prepare one of my favorite dishes, Penne al Arrabiata even though it wasn't on the menu and he said they could do it so I went with it. All I can say is it was the meal I've been searching for for 20 years. They Nailed it!!! Perfect flavor...actually much better than some of the restaurants I had this dish in while in Italy Serving size was like double what I would have gotten back in Napoli and when you consider the soup, salad, sorbet, and the amazing bread on top of the entrée, they provide one hell of a value even we don't need that much food LOL. At least I have a huge lunch for tomorrow thanks to the leftovers. Service was friendly and impeccable This place should be the destination restaurant for the Space Coast, although since we're moving to the area, don't want to give this secret away, but must:-) For the first time since I left Naples, I no longer miss Neopolitan cooking as I've found my new Italian home in Rockledge. When you factor in authenticity, quality, service and value, this is quite possibly the BEST Italian restaurant in the United States!!

Good place. I've eaten here several times in the nearly 8 yrs. I've lived in this area. At lunch you can order from the menu or enjoy an inexpensive buffet. I've had both, though not during the same visit, and I recommend you give either kind of lunch a try. Tonight my husband suggested we go to Domenico's for my birthday. There weren't many folks there, and I wonder why. My veal piccata was yummy as was my house salad. And his chicken parmigiana and caesar also were good. Service was efficient and friendly. Try Domenico's if you're in this area.

We love this place and go whenever we are in the area. The service is great and the food spectacular! It has never been busy and we just hope they keep open. We thought the prices were a little high the first time we went but when you include everything you get (soup, salad, sorbet, entree, breads) it isn't high. I keep wanting to try their home made desserts but never have room.

Was in a few months ago and had a very disappointing time. Without ordering appetizers, the food still took over an hour from ordering to get to the table. Bread delivered to the table was sopping wet, and when I asked for more I was told there was nothing wrong with the bread we had. The most telling symptom that they have problems is the fact that they had a mandatory gratuity for parties of 5 or more; they are the only restaurant in the area with a policy like that, so I can only assume it was necessary because too many customers were leaving without tipping. The food was good and the portions were extremely large, but priced accordingly. Because of the delays and attitude, I'm only going to consider this as an option for take-out, where I can feed a whole family on two dinners--assuming that the food is ready to be picked up when they tell me.

Service for a Friday night was good. Food was good. We had ravioli and snapper. The sorbet was excellent and reminded us of Italy. We did think it was a little expensive but since we've been in Florida for less than an hour we had nothing to compare it to. We did think it was ridiculous that they charged us $3 to share a dinner with someone else

The quality and value of Domenico tends to outweigh the drawbacks. That starts with the extras. Most meals come with good, fresh hot bread (though a little too salty), excellent pasta e fagioli soup (though a little too salty), and a perfectly fine if unspectacular green salad. The main course menu is very large and leans toward American-style presentations: In other words, ridiculously huge portions, too much cheese, too much added salt. This seems especially true of the flat pastas. Spaghetti and linguine dishes appear to contain at least a half-pound of pasta each. Meat sauces bury the pasta. Seafood sauces show more restraint, and have great flavor with fresh seafood, but there's just no need for the salt that's been added. So keep your expectations in check, request a take-home container when you order, and you'll enjoy Domenico.

Very strange people work/own this restaurant. They advertised a $10 pizza on their sign. I ordered that pizza along with a Stromboli. When I went to pickup my order, it was over $32. Surprised, I asked why the high amount? They told me the pizza was $17 and the Stromboli was $15. I laughed and told them the Stromboli down the street at another pizza place was $7. They tried to tell me it was simply much smaller than theirs. I then argued about the pizza's price as it was listed for $10 on the sign by the road. They had absolutely no clue as to what I was talking about. I told the one lady to follow me outside, she refused. I told her I was not paying that much for the Stromboli. She told me she would call the cops if I did not give her the money. Then she continued to say, you ordered it, you must buy it. At that point I was very irritated. I went to hand her the $32 and change. At that point, she said you didn't give me enough money. I recounted it and ensured it was the correct amount. She told me the price was $36 change. I had enough and took my money and walked out.

I have to be honest, I was dissapointed with the restaurant overall. Although the server was nice you have to mentally prepare yourself for a SLOW process. Some parts of the prosciutto apperizer were extremely hard and chewy. The Caesar salad had an abundance of mayonnaise, the filet mignon (although requested medium) was perfect in the center but overcooked around. The tiramisu had a citrus taste to it...which made the taste weird and bitter (we couldn't have more than one bite without gagging). Perhaps, the only item ok was the red snapper special. For the amount of money spend, it was mediocre.

Had dinner here with my parents at their suggestion. When arriving we were sat promptly and our drink order taken. Drinks came promptly and our food order was taken. I ordered the veal parmesan and cesar salad. The soup which came with the meal was good. The ceasar salad was also good. The veal was tasty but the pasta on the plate seemed like it was an after thought. The service here is very good and the lemon gelato between courses was a very nice touch. At these prices though I would expect not good but excellent italian food. This restaurant is in need of a serious update and seems to have a lot of clutter spread around. Someone might call it decoration but I find it greatly distracting and not in a good way.

Good eats! This place has been dishing good Italian for many years. The curse of a poor location and limited advertising has been avoided here, thankfully, for those of us who don't want to wait for a table at Carraba's or Olive Garden. If you do eat here, you will make a mental note to return again and again. Pleasing ambience. Friendly and familiar servers. Fresh, hot, delicious garlicky buttered bread. Quirky delightful little sorbet served between the soup-n-salad preliminaries and the main course. Large portions. Reasonable prices. All in all, a nice night. We like the veal dishes. Marsala comes out presented as 3 nice-sized paneed filets with a delightful smattering of fresh mushrooms cooked just right in a delicious just-right wine and garlic sauce. Parmesan is equal to the task: another 3 of these same generously portioned filets cooked to a wonderful tenderness, then complemented with a marinara-n-cheese topping befitting a well-made Parmesan. Mangiare bene! Well done! For dessert, a tiramisu and a cheesecake. Both are huge. We like leftovers, so our meals not only suffice for dinner, but the healthy remains are cheerfully boxed to-go and presented to us without hesitation. It is so easy to complain about restaurants, especially if all you patronize are chains. We much prefer the passion exhibited by locally-owned folks such as the owners here. Our evening goes so well because the folks in back really, really care about the food they serve. I love places like this. If you're going to do a job, why not do the very best job you can do?

Terrible, terrible. Do not waste your time. They are trying to market true Italian food, this could not be further from the truth. Sangria served with no fruit, ordered mussels, horrible. They opened a can of tomato sauce poured it over mussels and microwaved them. No seasoning. They tried to tell us they were sautéed. No way I have made mussels that tasted alot better. I am not even a professional chef. When we requested mussels sent back and taken off the bill, waitress became very nasty. Manager/owner did not even acknowledge us. No offense but I think the locals think this true Italian food and that's what the owners are use to. Menu was priced for real authentic Italian food. I wanted this to be a great spot to eat, but by far the worst I have tried. We paid for our drinks and left.

Terrible!!! Is the only way to describe this place. We came based on other reviews but were (much) less than impressed. The sangria that they describe as homemade was awful. It was served in a glass with absolutely no ice and no fruit except for a lone orange slice. I had to tell the waitress how to make it. It was remade and then only passable. Was probably a poorly disguised Yago. But the worst part were the mussels we ordered as an appetizer. It tasted as though canned sauce was poured over the mussels, 6 tablespoons of salt added and then nuked to steaming hot. It was so bad it was inedible. The waitress swore that the dish was sauteed in a pan. Me thinks not. We sent it back and asked for the check. The only good thing about this place was the bread with the oil dipping sauce. I can't imagine how anyone could think this food was anything above crap- unless of course they have never eaten a good meal in their lives.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
