PDQ - Riverview Menu

Pdq was a whole lot of hype. I was pretty disappointed. Opening day and the employee told me she wasn't sure they were taking the free shake coupons anymore. ?? The buffalo bleu sand which was decent. I like the sauce. The "fresh cut fries" had to be the biggest disappointment; they were beyond limp, greasy, and lacked seasoning. I went again to be sure it was t an opening day fluke but alas they were the same limp noodles. The shakes were also disappointing and were very similar to McDonalds. Bummed we needed a great food place.

A decent fast food option. Limited menu = fast service. Fries are hit or miss. Sauces are highlight of the meal. Shakes are delicious. Iced tea is better than most. This place has a serious problem keeping tables clean and its a turn off. A thirty minute lunch break and not a single table tended to. The kitchen is so efficient that I find the lack of attention to the dining room surprising.

PDQ, the freshest fast food, I do not like all the fast food chains but PDQ is different, they even got me ;) I Love this place, special the Blueberry Coleslaw, it is so yummy and don't forget the fresh squeezed lemonade to order to your meal so refreshing :)

I walked into the restaurant to talk to the manager about a terrific employee and the manager turned around and told me he did not have time for me! The manager then turned around and ignored me. I was in shock! I have NEVER had a manager of a food establishment treat me like that! I didn't even have a complaint. I wanted to bring his attention to the actions of an amazing employee. Depending on what happens when I call corporate I may or may not go back to this River View PDQ.

Love the innovative approach to exceptional customer service. It's raining out and PDQ has employees with umbrellas meeting you so you stay dry. Well played PDQ

I went for the first time to buy a meal and I am really upset. I bought a Caesar Salad, Chicken Sandwich and Vanilla Milkshake by walking into the restaurant. I waited for my name to be called and it was. They handed me my bag and when I got home my Vanilla Milkshake was not in the bag. When I called the restaurant immediately they said my name had to be called a second time for the drink. This was not explained to me. I really do not like any restaurant that makes a mistake on a meal for takeout and this will probably be my last time to buy from PDQ.

PDQ is Great!!! PDQ has delicious chicken fingers and the hand cut fries are awesome. The food is very flavorful and you can really taste the quality of the food. I have also tried the Buffalo Tender sandwich, grilled chicken and grilled turkey sandwiches.... All of them are delicious!!!

Impeccably clean, fresh place. Good chicken tenders, sauces for the chicken & flavored teas. Fries were fresh cut, too. Bathrooms the cleanest seen in days (after stopping in on the way home from Universal Studios). Good customer service. Try it out.

Service is friendly, food is fresh and tastey, it's open on Sunday. I love the sweet heat sauce.

We have eaten here three times. The chicken is really good, the fries have all been a lumpy mess. We just tried the blueberry cole slaw, and thought it would be a blueberry based sauce, but I was mistaken, it was just regular cole slaw with blueberries thrown in, nothing special. I like the chicken, but the fries have to change, alot of people I know hate them. I'll go back for the chicken, but nothing else. Prices are not super friendly either for what you get.

Great service. Fresh food. Awesome. We loved it!!!!! Awesome chicken strips and fries. The grilled chicken sandwich was unbelievable.

Never had any fast food like this with personable service. They even gave me the chance to retrieve missing condiments from my order after they were closed! Wow. But the kicker for driving back, the big boss gave me a voucher for a complimentary meal on the house. Good till February! Oh and he gave me a refill on my root beer in a new cup! I go here when I can afford it, and it's worth every penny.

For a new store, the service and speed were astoundingly excellent. The grilled chicken sandwich I had stands out above other local eateries, with the side of fries being surprisingly plentiful. The restaurant itself is nice to be in, with a very open atmosphere and comfortable seating. The staff was very friendly and open to see to any of our needs. Price wise I would say it was comparable to their competitiors, which was nice to see. Overall my experience left me in a good mood and I look forward to my next visit.

Chick fila wannabe, prices are high for what it is...Also have been 3x, each time my fries , are hot and mushy/soggy. Won't be going back for mediocre food for $$$.

This place is head and shoulders above Chic Fil a and Zaxbys. Better quality chicken and a great experience every time

This restaurant opened recently in our area. On our first (and only, so far) it was unbelievably crowded and noisy. My chicken sandwich was good and my husband really enjoyed the chicken tenders. The cookies, not so much. We may try it again after some time has passed and maybe the crowds will lessen.

I was here shortly after the Grand Opening. It was busy, but the line went quickly. Very friendly staff. The food was excellent for being fast food.

  • Stephanie C.

Very good and fast! My daughter wants to visit all of the time. It is a bit expensive for tenders and fries.

  • J M.

I visited here for the first time yesterday. The service was great but the food was too salty for my taste.

    (3)
  • Amber T.

I'm not sure what all the hype is about. I ordered tenders, a chicken salad and fries. I wasn't impressed.

    (2)
  • Mike H.

Although it was a little packed due to it just opening up, the lines moved quick and I barely had time to get my drink before my food was ready. The chicken tenders are great and the fries were seasoned perfectly. I can't wait to come back after the crowds die down.

  • Andre T.

Love the fresh cut fries-- none of that preservative cap here. The crispy chicken sandwich is a fave as well. Glad Riverview finally got a location so I don't have to travel to south Tampa anymore.

  • Michael M.

Excellent, delicious, clean! Best chicken I've tasted! We had the Tenders and fries and Crispy Chicken Salad. Both were awesome!!

Not sure where Shawn V ate, but it was not at this location. They are still building out. We tried the one on S Dale Mabry a couple of weeks ago and it was super.

again this place is really good .. the staff did an excellent job moving the line and the tenders are delicious... dont forget to try the hand spun shakes

It's a Great place for a quick blue or for a family meal. I have never had a bad meal here. Chicken tenders, nuggets or salads are great and filling meals.

  • Deanna M.

Awesome customer service, the homemade sauces are the best, love the chicken tenders, will be back again

  • Steve S.

Compared to other PDQ restaurants the food was not as good, the fries were almost inedible, the chicken was just ok, the person who took the order should really seek other employment.

  • Derek N.

LOVE ME SOME PDQ!!! Stopped by for lunch after bottling a bunch of wine. I decided to try the Crispy turkey with fires. The food came out fast and HOT!!! The place was packed and I was surprised how fast the food was coming out. The lemonade is a bit sour but good.

I love love PDQ! We went on a busy afternoon when my dad was in town. The place was hopping but we only waited in lime about 5 mins. I ordered a chicken cesar salad. I have tried so many other items that are all great but not a salad. My salad came out in less then 10 min. When it came out it looked divine and it was! The chicken was cooked to perfection, the dressing was yummy and the croutons were just an added bonus! I will say that the salad was a little over-saturated with dressing but it was still great!

So this is only my second time at PDQ abs the first one was a YELP event so went back to a different location. Absolutely wonderful. We walked in and there were about 8 people ahead of us. The line moved unbelievably fast. I placed my order for 2 of the 3 piece crispy chicken tenders with fries a homenade lemonade and soda. The person making the lemonade told me to wait for the drink and I literally turned around and my name was called before the drink was even finished. The chicken tenders were fresh hot and super moist. DELICIOUS. The basket was loaded with yummy seasoned fries but there is no way 1 person could finish them. I hate to see food wasted so next time I will just get the tenders and share my husbands fries. You get one sauce with each order so I got ranch and chipolte BBQ and both were fresh and creamy. If craving chicken I have a new go to place for fresh fast food!

A nice variation on fast food. Not a wide menu but they do well on what they offer and serve it up quickly. Sampled the buffalo wing strip and crispy chicken sanwiches. Lot of fountain drink options, plus some unique old favorites like Cheer wine. Better than average fast food chicken, comparable to Chik Filay. A nice blueberry slaw alternative to fries for the combo meals. Salads looked good as well and lots of milk shake options we resisted....even apply pie. Will try again/

I have had the pleasure of eating in once, going through the drive-through once and attended many events they have catered. It is fast food but it is good and fresh. Service was quick and courteous and unlike most "fast food" restaurants employees stop by the table to see if you need anything. If you drink is low they offer to refill. When they noticed my purse was slipping off my arm while trying to carry my tray the came to assist me. All I can say is stop by and check it out for yourself. I generally don't do fast food but PDG goes beyond fast food.

I'm torn on this one. PDQ's was packed when I took my grandsons for lunch there today. I was waited on quite quickly, but then there was at least a 15- 20 minute wait for the food, which is not great when you are there to feed 2 hungry 4 year olds. 3 piece chicken finger lunch was $7.29. It came with fries. Yup, just fries. And they were shoestring fries, which I am not a great fan of because they get cold so darn fast. But these are fresh, not frozen, so that's plus. Chicken pieces were large, tender and juicy. Quite good. Service was excellent. I loved the fact that staff was on the floor getting you any extras you may need. And they have coke products,, hurray!! Kids meal was 2 pieces of chicken & fries with a small drink or a box of Yoohoo for $3.99. Could have only gotten one to split for the twins because the portions were generous. BBQ sauce and honey mustard was quite good. (They make their own sauces). All in all good food, but not a complete meal like Zaxby's gives, so seemed a bit skimpy to me. For about $1 less Zaxby's give you about 5 pieces of chicken, fries, coleslaw and a slice of toasted Texas toast. The restaurant itself is very nice, very contemporary. Nice out door seating with cool mist, indoor seating was scant I felt for the size of the place. As someone there with little ones, I did not like that tall bar type tables were all around the ordering and pick up area. It blocked your view of your seat when your name was called to go pick up your order. So you have to grab your purse, grab your kids and go up to get the food (not wanting to leave 4 year olds alone, even for a few minutes). Now you take a chance at losing your seat. But I realize this is a new place, some kinks need to be worked out. Just a heads up for management as to the inconvenience for moms & grandmoms. I will definitely be back, hubby will want to try for sure. Food was very good. Nice to have a place like this in Riverview.

Decent chicken sandwich and really good fries. Coke Freestyle machines are pretty neat too. And although it's a chore to get in and out of the plaza where this PDQ is located, the parking lot is decently set up, so that's not too bad. Pretty fast service, and I'm sure this place is busy on Sundays. But outside they use those spray misters, so make sure you have your Legionnaire's vaccine before an extended sit.

  • Melissa P.

Pretty yummy! The chicken is great. I am a little fussy about fresh cut fries and mine would have been better if they were a little crispier. My only issue was WHAT - no BBQ sauce? They have a chipotle BBQ but no regular or sweet. I will be back, but for drive-thru only so I can bring it home to my Sweet Baby Ray's.

Love this place.....Food is alway fresh. They have the best sauces. Great customer service & very friendly!!

  • Brandon B.

Food was amazing and delicious. Holy cow the fries are off the charts good. Service is excellent. Ambience is great. Homemade sauces are top notch. The list goes on here. This place is definitely in a league of it's own and we are so happy a new one popped up right down the road. Rest assured we will be regular attenders here!! If you haven't tried it yet you are totally missing out. This place will be a big winner in it's new location in south Riverview. We were apart of the "training week" preview and they actually gave the food out for free!! Talk about a company that knows how to win over a customer base. That little bit of generosity goes a long way, my family will be spending money there for years to come!!

From the moment you walk in, the staff is hands down one of the most friendly I've experienced at a restaurant in a long time! Everything is clean, the food comes out before you even get seated, and the staff wander the dining area to ensure you have all you need. I had the grilled chicken salad and it ROCKED! It's better than most fancy restaurant's salads! Icing on the cake? They show love to their local firemen. I mentioned to the waiter I was headed to the fire station to visit my hibs afterward and he returned shortly after w/ chicken sandwiches, fries, cookies, and waters for thos whole station! Those firemen tore it up and loved every bite! Well done PDQ! We will definitely be back!

I've been asking for a Chic Fila to be built in Riverview for a long time but boy am I happy that we got a PDQ instead. The food has seasoning and flavor, fries are salted and hot, and the hand made sauces are great. My hubby and I share tenders and fries and the crispy chicken sandwich, I recommend both. Everyone was extremely friendly and the service is great and fast. I was extremely impressed how fast it was considering it was opening week and they had a line out the door. I'm gonna nickname it "Pretty Damn Quick". I hope that the service and quality of food stays up there after they establish themselves as a restaurant in our area.

I would like to give them 5 stars for the excellent service and how clean the place is always been. Great chicken and delicious ranch sauce. My only comment which i would like as a customer to be improved is : fries !!! The fries lose their taste and freeness within 10 mins. Hope they get improved !

This place makes me feel like a kid again. Tenders are crunchy, freshly made and isn't that processed frozen chicken stuff you get at most places these days (well, at least it doesn't taste like it!) They are just the right size and the prices are good too! Fries are homemade tasting and also fresh. They look like they were cut from a potato! -- very addicting. People are friendly and ice teas and beverage options are good. As with any fast food place you wouldn't want to come every day, but once in a while when you do, it's so worth it. Cons They offer half price shakes from 3-5 PM. I had the chocolate Malt Shake and found it SUPER sweet and maybe not mixed throughly, I donno, had two sips and had to toss it. I'll be back for the tenders though.

Good people great food love there turkey sandwich with cranberry definitely PDQ is in a league of their own in the fast food market

Three stars doesn't mean it was bad. It just means it was good but not spectacular. I ordered chicken and fries. The chicken was tasty and fresh. I enjoyed the skinny fries with seasoning. Overall I think it's a different fast food concept. The kitchen is pretty open and the food definitely has more of a "real food" feel. The staff was friendly and the store was very clean. I'm looking forward to going back.

#157 Every party needs a pooper, that's why we invited you, Cranky Franky, Cranky Franky.... What is the fuss? I have no doubt that most 5 star reviewers have never been to a Zaxby's. Why? Let me splain it to you. PDQ - 7.29 will get you three fingers, fries and a fountain drink. Zaxby's - 5.99 will get you five, yes that's 5, fingers, fries, cole slaw and Texas Toast. Wanna drink, throw in that cost and it's close to a tie. But wait you say, what about the fingers? Both fingers are moist and tender. PDQ's version though has tasteless breading, it's just breading. Zax breading is seasoned and delicious and adds another layer of flavor. Fries? Yes, PDQ's are fresh cut but they are shoestrings that didn't get golden brown crispy and when you get to the bottom of your basket they have turned into a cold mushy, greasy mess. The fries at Zax are the frozen (yes I know) crinkle cut and are what I call crispy creamy. At PDQ I had the honey mustard which was very good, just as good as Zax. Do you really care where its made? Really? What PDQ does have going for it is that it's close, everyone was nice and I'm sure they'll do great. My money goes to Zax.

So I came in for the first time a couple weeks ago. I wasn't blown away but it's not bad. I've been back a few times since then. Fairly inexpensive as I recall my 3pc with fries and a drink was def less than $10. It's clean and quick and the area is in bad need of more options so I'll welcome it. The tenders have always come out hot and fresh. They don't have a distinct flavor by any means just a fried tender with a bit of basic seasoning. Good none the less. My daughter had the Caesar salad and said it was good, it looked it, but the dressing was a little strong/fishy for her tastes. The fries were the disappointment. Yes they appear home style but that also means GREASY. Not to my liking at all and that was the consensus around the table. The Chipotle BBQ sauce is so good I've only tried one other sauce and it was the Sweet Heat, Sweet Heat tastes a bit like Chick Fil A sauce if you're familiar with that. The milkshakes are very good as well and makes it hard to walk out without one! Very happy to see another option pop up in this area!

I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and a drink. The only thing in the bag was the sandwich in a box. However I did not realize I was supposed to actually look at the sandwich because after I got home I found that the grilled chicken sandwich contained everything but the actual piece of grilled chicken. So shouldn't you ensure PDQ??? What a disappointment!!! The moment I posted this I was contacted by management who took care of the mistake immediately. So PDQ turned that disappointment into satisfaction by recognizing the mistake and then taking care of it. Additionally I am confident they will do more to ensure orders are correct. Good job!!

Wow! Just great! PDQ should stand for Pretty Darn Quick! I was extremely hungry this past Tuesday around 6:00 and stopped at PDQ. They were slammed! Two lanes going through the drive-thru, wrapped around the building, and a ton of people in line inside. The staff handled everyone quickly and professionally. The line moved quickly and my food came quickly. I was shocked I was able to get in, order and eat so quickly. Plus, the grilled chicken salad was wonderful! Good job everyone! I will be back!

  • Sha Vonne' W.

Everyone was very . But because it is a new establishment the lines were very long and it was a little hectic. But overall the food is very good. The salads are fresh. And the chicken tenders are to die for. This will definitely be one of my frequent stops.

  • Launa V.

I enjoyed my first visit. I hadn't tried any PDQ before. All of the employees we encountered were really pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed my buffalo tender sandwich and recommend adding pickles (if you're into that sort of thing- which I am). The green tea has an interesting flavor to it.... Like a floral flavor, I'd say. Anyway, the restaurant is nice and clean. I'd go back and try more things again.

Services are average here it's pretty much a fast food joint lines are busy food is okay I think what makes the place is their homemade sauces!
