Horrible food!! Do not order from here...they sell old food...I bought $30 dollars worth of food had to throw it away..was not eatable, bad customer service. This place does not even deserve one star awful food! Do not waste your money!

I love the food here! The Lo Mein, Fried Rice, the bbq ribs and the spicy wings are really good!! And I usually don't eat spicy. Also my Favorite from the chef suggestion, if the Mayo Shrimp. Gotta try it to believe how good the food is here!

Came here based on the positive Yelp! reviews. Ordered 8 steamed dumplings for my daughter and chicken fried rice for myself. The girl who took my order was super nice and friendly. I really enjoyed my fried rice, it was a simple and no fuss dish! The fried rice consistent of eggs, rice, chicken and a little bit of onions. The dumplings I felt fell flat, the frozen ones at Trader Joe's are significantly better. I would only come back for the fried rice.....not to mention the sauce that came with the dumplings was straight up nasty.

Chinese spot near my bf's place. I got there right as they were closing and the owner was sweet enough to reopen the door and take my order. I got wonton soup (lg) and shrimp fried rice (sm) for $8. I'll give em the benefit of the doubt that maybe they didnt have all the spices and ingredients out to make the food as they normally do, since prior reviews all point to this place being good and I got there a minute or two after closing. The soup didnt have much flavor at all to the stock, but the wontons inside it were good though. The shrimp friend rice was quite good on the other hand. It was loaded with tiny little shrimp and had flavor to it, opposite of the soup. This place only has two tables inside to sit and eat at, so I would recommend delivery or grabbing it and going.

Better than your average Chinese take out restaurant. The portions are very generous and prices are quite reasonable. I like getting the lomein noodles and the the krab rangoons.

Ordered chicken fried rice and beef fried rice from here for the first time yesterday and it was really good. Very tasty, high quality, good quantity. One pint size can feed two people. Awesome!

I was visiting some friends in Plantation and was craving Chinese food. Shanghai Garden was recommended to me and I am glad I came here. I ordered General Tofu and some spring rolls and egg rolls. The tofu was lightly fried and tossed in this delicious brown sauce. It was not greasy at all! The egg and spring rolls were crispy on the outside and not overcooked on the inside. The sweet and sour sauce was quite good too. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was very clean, which is a plus. I definitely will go back when I'm in the area.

I walked in at Shanghai Garden placed my order which is the small house fried rice and 6 wings and handed her my American Express card. She says " Sorry we don't take American Express, we take Mastercard and Visa ". I handed her my Mastercard. She says " Is this a debt ?". I said " No its a credit card". She then said " We only accept credit card over $10.00 purchase but I will let it slide this time". Now I love chinese food and know good chinese food when I taste it But this is by far horrible, I tried the food and it was EXTREMELY Salty way to much MSG! The food was dry and I couldn't eat it further and the Chicken wings was salty as well. The woman gave me a hard time using my credit card ..acting like their food is the shit and got salty food ...I felt like I wasted my money!

Decided to go on a limb and try this place. This place definitely doesn't look like much from the outside so do yourself a favor and and order to go. Service was fast, food was tasty and hit the Chinese food craving spot. Don't know about other reviews but my food was fresh and veggies were crisp.

My family has been going to this place for years and we have always been satisfied with our meal. They have the BEST Chinese food. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The portions are generous to the point where I have leftovers for lunch the next day. The sweet and sour chicken is sooo good and is made with real white meat chicken.

Didn't like at all :/ Ordered general tso's chicken that did not come breaded (like every other general tso's I've ever had). It was just pieces of white chicken in a thin general tso's like sauce. On top of that the chicken tasted funky and old. We also got triple delight and it was pork, beef and chicken (chicken here also tasted funny and the pork did too) beef was the only thing that was semi ok. Wonton soup and crispy noodles were both not good either soup was bland and noodles were thin like ones you put on a salad. I just moved to Plantation about a month ago and I'm really hoping this is not indicative of the Chinese food here because out of all the reviews this one had the highest and I know it's a strong word ...but I hated it. Also the guy was very rude on the phone and said I needed to order by 9:30 for delivery because they were closing and said he "told me to hurry up" when I called initially to ask if they delivered then looked at menu and called back not even 5 minutes later. Overall bad experience. Only good thing was the delivery guy he was very polite and apologized for the 45 + minute wait.

So 50 minutes after pleasing the order. Let's just say this was going to be a 1 star because the driver was rude and the girl at the resturant had no clue what to do. (They are 2 miles from me) the food finally got here. Egg roll less greasy then most. Sweet and sour chicken and wings was good. Lomein, was great. Rice tasted like spanish rice Not Chinese Fried rice.

Ok so after reading countless reviews on different Chinese restaurants, I settled on this one. Right off Broward Blvd. very unsuspecting. Upon my entrance I was greeted quite quickly by a very friendly woman behind the counter. I took a moment to look over the menu and decided on the beef Lo Mein combo. This comes with soup, egg roll, fried rice, and Lo main. All boxed up neatly in a small box. I opted for the wonton soup, that had been freshly made. It was ok. Not the best or worst I've had. On to the egg roll. It was chrisppy, flavorful, and not greasy at all. Fried rice had, what I imagine is pork, bits throughout. It had nice flavor and again wasn't greasy. The lo mein very flavorful and actually quite fresh tasting. All in all a very solid meal. Clean place and friendly, prompt service. Only complaint is they didn't give me any condiments or eating utensils. Not even that packet of duck sauce or soy sauce. It's ok because it didn't really need it at all!

The egg roll was the best egg roll I've ever eaten. The honey garlic chicken was yummy too! Everything was hot and delicious! I'll be back.

I've grown up with this restaurant. It has been in my life since restaurant #1. Yet and still the food has never changed. It is still awesome! In fact in my opinion, it has gotten even better. There is nothing that I can tell to avoid that will make you not want to go there. Overall it is a fantastic place to eat when you want real Chinese food.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the chicken wings and the crab rangoons. i could eat like 2 orders of each. its so satisfying, especially with their home made hot oil and sweet and sour sauce. This restaurant's a little hard to find because its located in the back of the Publix plaza but it's definitely a winner. There's always plenty of parking and the staff (family own business) is super friendly. I love the fresh ingredients used at Shanghai Garden's. The meats are always tender/juicy and the veggies are always crisp. They even have lobster and other types of seafood. I'm actually quite surprised this place isn't more popular or even bigger. Yea, its pretty small, real small; the seating's very limited. Think casual quick lunch kinda place or take out joint. I'd rate this as a possible fast food joint with restaurant quality.

Don't do delivery just call ahead and pick it up so that you can witness what I have. I have had the food before, always delivered, but I was in a rush and usually delivery took too long for me. So I ordered ahead and went in to pick it up. The restaurant was in an odd place and for obvious reasons. 1. The place looked a bit old, like a cheap hotel. 2. The place smelled badly but I just took it as it was close to closing time so maybe they haven't taken out the trash yet. 3. One of the employees came out and his attire was dirty. If I haven't had their food before I would have canceled the order right there and then. I paid for the food despite everything I personally observed and now I regret it. I ate the food and was watching television while my food digest. Not even 10 min ( I swear on everything I love) I was throwing up. And my last meal before this Chinese restaurant was a good 4-5 hours ago and it was peanut butter and jelly (my favorite so don't judge me). After I got the Chinese food out my system I felt so much better and threw out the leftovers ! Never going back.

I ordered the Singapore rice noodles without the chicken. Just veggies, eggs and curry, and it tastes really good! Just the right hong of spice. And you can actually taste the curry. This is definitely the best I've had so far. And plus, the people here are really friendly and gave good service. I recommend this place to anyone completely. My friends even enjoyed their meals they ordered.

Definitely delicious! In the area it is absolutely the gem of Chinese foods! Super sweet lady in the front and very tasteful! Rice is the only down side.. Not the best but not the worst either! Finding this restaurant made my new apartment more exciting!

Here's the deal. Friday night 9:52 pm, I'm gnawing on the melamine desk in my hotel I was so hungry for dinner. I needed whatever I could find that was open and would deliver food that would be better than the rubbery turkey sandwiches in the hotel. So, I sent out a Yelp beacon and found Shanghai Garden II. Although the joint closes at 10:00 pm, the nice guy on the other side of the phone was sincerely accommodating and took my order. $25 (post-tip) and 20 quick minutes later, I have food, condiments, and fortune cookies nicely packed up in a box delivered to my hotel. Easy peezy. Five stars for service! But here's the rub: the food was, well....meh. Shouldn't fried rice have something more to it than bean sprouts, eggs, and fake Spam? (BTW, imitation Spam, isn't that like incest?) The sweet and sour shrimp was swimming in oil and lacked veggies. The pot stickers were burnt, but ok - nothing memorable about them. These guys who run this establishment are top notch. If that's important to you, and you like your Chinese take-out a little on the salty side, with crispy goodness sweating oil, this place will be perfect. It'll be that secret love you'll only admit to your partner when you know he/she can't do better than you. Why, oh why couldn't this have been the fairy tale come true?

When moving to a new neighborhood (in our case state), there are a few places you must immediately find and try. A doctor, a dentist, a grocery store, CHINESE food, and pizza. I am proud to announce that we have found our Chinese food spot (nothing else as of yet). Not only is this place within walking distance, it has great food, great prices and even decent service. We wanted to go order in person in order to get an idea of the cleanliness, etc. I am glad that we did. The man that helped us (likely the owner) was very helpful and even slightly amusing. We each ordered a dinner special ($7.95 each) and were shocked by the quantity and quality of our dishes. There was enough food for each of us to have lunch the next day! I got the Kung Pao chicken, the man got the beef and vegetables. Both super tasty! Also important to note, no MSG headache. I am not implying that they did not use MSG, simply saying that I didn't feel like crap later that day as you usually do after bad Chinese food. We will definitely be back!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
