I have been to this location quite a few times, but each time I come back I am even more disappointed. The restaurant is very dated and could greatly benefit from a facelift and a good scrubbing. I am not saying the place was filthy, I am simply saying it wasn't as clean as I had hoped it would be. I did the call ahead seating and asked to be seated at 6:30. They do not consider this a reservation but they place your name on a priority list. We did not wait at all and we were seated promptly at our requested time. So far so good. Our server was lacking in social skills. I don't mean to sound mean, but the girl didn't smile one time. Aside from forgetting my nephews Bloomin Onion, the service was okay. Not great, but okay. Maybe if she smiled or had somewhat of a personality, our dining experience would have been a little better and not so depressing. After reminding her about our missing Bloomin Onion ($7.99), she had it on our table within a few minutes. My nephew said it could have been a little hotter but he was starving and was happy to eat it the way it was served. I have been eating clean for three months, but I did taste two of the onion petals, dipped in the spicy sauce. I thought it looked better than it tasted and I thought the oil tasted old. Maybe it was just me, because my nephew enjoyed it and he had no issues and even took most of it home to enjoy for later. For my entrée I ordered the Simply Grilled Mahi ($15.49). My entire meal was just 375 calories! I asked for the mixed veggies to be steamed with no oil, butter or salt. The mix of broccoli, carrots and zucchini were very fresh and prepared perfectly. I ordered my fish without any oil, butter or salt and they did a good job preparing the Mahi. I was surprised that it tasted so good. My nephew ordered the Parmesan Herb Crusted Chicken ($13.49). He liked it but made a point to let me know that Longhorn makes a similar dish that is a lot tastier. Since I can easily eat clean at the Outback, I will return at some point. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back to this particular location simply because it was not as clean as it should be. We were not charged for the Bloomin Onion because on Monday nights they are free if their race car driver wins his race. So that was a nice surprise when the check arrived.

It is Wednesday night and spur of the moment we decided to go to outback. My girlfriend and I have come to this location several times and it has not disappointed. Get ready to eat big here and go home straight for a big nap! Who comes to outback and does not order a blooming onion? It is their staple. I am glad to know they offer a smaller version for those who do not want to get overly stuffed on an appetizer. Last time I went I got a bone in rib eye which was cooked perfectly and was to die for. My girlfriend's sirloin steak was also very flavorful and juicy. Another thing I would like to point out is the quality of their featured cocktails. I have tried many on their menu and never been disappointed. I recommend the margaritas there!

Ummmm OK, sure. I'll meet you at Outback for 7. I haven't been in years...and there must have been a reason I stopped. Well, I call to make a reservation, and I am honestly told that it will just reduce my wait time upon arrival. No problem. We fight the torrential downpour with children to wait in the lobby for 20 minutes, rather than sit in our car and wait out the storm... I am able to get a drink from the cocktail server, I gave him my credit card to save him a trip... he bought back the drink and check...with no pen. DOH. I literally scratched the tip and total in..hope he can see it! We are sat, and I look around I feel like I am at a retirement home and realize suddenly that every single table in there is "celebrating" their birthday as I hear the birthday song more often than the background music.. Well, then the server says hello...and the whole meal was just a disaster. She was nice, but sooooo soooooo useless. Drinks never refilled..wine ordered and received 15 minutes later and not the right varietal, items requested and never received....dessert ordered and only one spoon for three people...it was just bad. Food was ok. Wasn't terrible, but certainly wasn't amazing. Spinach dip was luke warm at best, accompanying chips were stale and not enough of them.. steaks were ordered medium...and were medium well....and it was just BLAH. You absolutely have to know a server to have a decent experience here. Back in the day when we went frequently and knew half of the servers, it was much better...but then they all quit and with bad service and mediocre food...and a wait... there are so many other options in the area...pick another.

I travel a lot and have been to Outback restaurants all over the country. ...this is one of the best! Great service and wonderfully prepared food.

Have been a regular here for years, is now MUCH better since new management stepped in. Server Rob has always been A+++ best they have here and Joseph in curbside does a fine job as well. Will continue to come as we always do but things are much better! Keep up the good work. The Coral Springs location is now under par to this location.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. I have some friends that have talked about how bad the service has gotten at this particular location for some time and they kept trying it, but now they have sworn if off & refuse to go here anymore....I now see why. Dear Outback Corporate you might want to take a look at this operation and see if you can give it a facelift ASAP. I have lived in Plantation for many a year and I remember when this location opened. When I was little, for "special" occasions we would go here to eat... I even remember I used to get the Alice Springs Chicken no mushrooms. I digress. We went last week, it was my mother's birthday eve, and b/c it was in a convenient meeting location I decided to meet the rents for dinner. My parents were up at the bar when I walked in (around 6:35 pm) and were interested in grabbing a first-come, first-serve table by the bar. I sat down and waited a bit to be greeted by a bartender (and by a bit I mean like 5 mins) I asked him what kind of red wine they had by the glass...or what would he recommend...or what he had opened that day. He didn't know...he didn't know what kind of red wine they had, he rattled off a couple that were no longer on the menu, and had a hard time giving me a suggestion. Now I get it, but it's a steakhouse...you should know your red wine...especially when there's only 6 selections on the menu. After about 15 mins I figured nobody was getting up so I might as well grab a beeper...I was quoted a 25 minute wait on a Wednesday night with clearly open seats towards the back of the restaurant. I thought to myself "they must be in the weeds"...and they were. Our table was finally ready and we sat down. Pops ordered another beer, moms ordered coffee, and I sipped on my second blah selection of red wine. We looked around the restaurant and there wasn't a single server to behold, in fact nobody that worked there was on the floor, it was the oddest thing I have ever seen, all tables sitting down, no waitstaff? huh? Our waitress finally arrived, she was very nice, she was definitely in the weeds, and needed help. We had to inquire about their "special" 3-course menu which this location obviously hides from you. The special menu has a salad, a meal, a side, and a dessert for a set price...it's great! We ordered our salads and a bloomin onion to share (see pix), ps- Dad got the wrong salad- but it was better than ours, and when the salads were finally delivered we inquired if we could have a loaf of their famous bread. After a bit, bread arrived, and we were able to place our orders. I ordered the $19.99 prix fixe meal, with prime rib, dad ordered, mom ordered... we were happy. 5 minutes later (it's like 7:15 now) waitress comes back and informs me they don't have any prime rib, I'm thinking she means the cut, but NO she means NO prime rib at all. WTH? no prime rib :( booooooooooo. Now I am sad. So, Outback down sold me from the $19.99 meal to the $12.99 Outback special....way to go! Food was OK, not great by any means, and it was one debacle after another trying to finish this meal. I would highly rec'd trying another location...boo Outback boo.

Food was great. It was the first time I went and I really enjoyed it. It had that nice Australian vibe about it. Waiters were really nice too. Place was very clean and they had good prices.

One of the worst experiences at a restaurant, period. Took my mom for dinner on a saturday night. As we expected, it was fairly busy but there were maybe 4 groups sitting down, not bad. We got quoted 35 minutes for a table and it took closer to an hour. People who came in after us were seated and they did not use the call-ahead option. This happened not once, but FIVE times. One group even went up and claimed they did call ahead even though there was no record and got seated right away. We finally get up the courage to say something and the rude manager (older, bald guy) who was up at the front says "Umm no, we still have you quoted at 5 minutes." No apologies, no sincerity, nothing. He was even being rude to his staff, very unprofessional. After we FINALLY get seated and I'm frustrated and beyond starving, we get a completely incompetent server who can't even get our orders correct. He even mixed up the bill and charged the wrong card at the end to put the icing on the cake. Needless to say, we left the restaurant over 2 and a half hours later and we will NOT be returning. We typically love Outback and have never encountered an issue.

Service is not bad , but the food was very disappointed , uncooked (baked potato 1/2 done) dry meat , appetizers where cold and not fresh (avocado & crab was old and got me sick ) I will never go back .

I ordered the Steakhouse Salad. While the toppings on the salad and the steak itself were okay, the greens in the salad consisted of only iceberg. This is wholly unacceptable. No spinach? No arugula? Not even some romaine? It was an embarrassment of a salad and if not for the beef would have been very nutrient thin. Our waitress was very nice and attentive but the food just took very long to get there. The cooks in the back must have mistimed it because when my table's food arrived my steak was cold and so was my friend's. It seems that one of the ways they try to compensate is to have their plates very hot, not a bad strategy. This still doesn't, however, make up for having cold food. We dined here on a very busy Wednesday night in March and maybe that was the problem. The restaurant, perhaps, was much more busy than it planned to be for a Wednesday night.

My boyfriend and I usually love going to outback for lunch and we usually order the sirloin and shrimp combo. The potato and cheese soup never disappoints and steaks are very well seasoned. The only issue we had during our last visit was the service. Both myself and my boyfriend work in the biz so we can understand when servers are busy but the restaurant was almost empty on a sunday. So waiting over 30 mins for a wallaby darned? Im sorry but no drink should take that long and neither should the wait for our checks.

Couldn't ask for a better prepared 22oz woodgrilled bone in ribeye. It was cooked to a perfect medium and seasoned with just the rite amount. Good job. The blooming onion was made well however the concept isn't great. It holds alot of the grease from the fryer. All in all the best outback I will been to. The last being in Miami off 163rd which was terrible.

After a few visits now at this location, I really enjoy coming here. The food is consistent and the service is always great. They offer specials often and we saw they had steak and lobster special going on. My daughter had the speciaL which was a 6 oz. Sirloin and a small lobster tail for $14.99. You can't beat that price. They had other steaks with lobster for various prices as well. I usually only eat Filet and about a month ago we took my sister in law here and she told me I had to give their Sirloin a try and she stated this is the only restaurant she would eat a Sirloin at. I hesitated but I did order it and again on my next visit. The flavor and juiciness of the steak is excellent. Woah, nice surprise for me. Of course who doesn't love the bloomin onion!! It is so good and we do order it frequently. For a chain restaurant they really do a great job. Just like Longhorn's, they both are great for the quality, prices and service and most importantly being consistent. Sure it's not Capital Grille but who can afford that very often. I just wish they had a better selection of finer wines. No not $100 plus per bottle but there are plenty of good quality wines at a good price point. This location really has some great service! See you soon!

I tried to love outback because I love their sweet potato, but the food isn't all that great and taste mostly microwaved. My hot wings were over done and taste like oil, I was disappointed because I've had these before and they were flavorful.

This place was once great but now the everything is over priced and not as clean as it should be and sometime they get a meal wrong or don't bring it out right away so the food is cold.

When I want steak I go to Outback! Heather was a wonderful server who was attentive, kind and courteous! They have a special right now a 3 course meal for 11.99 which my dad had. I had the 9 oz sirloin which was 14.99. BOTH steaks were cooked perfectly(medium rare) and the sides were fresh and delicious. I was a little surprised that they charged nearly 3 dollars for a soda...and nearly 8 dollars for the bloomin onion. An Excellent meal! Thanks Outback!

I have come to this outback a number of times. I always seem to enjoy the food, but the atmosphere kills it for me. There are these dangling lights that almost seem to touch your forehead and the light is so bright that we had to tell our waiter to please unscrew the light bulb. It was much better after that. There are a few things on the menu that are worth getting and then there are other things that are just awful. I will not name those things because everyone has a different palette when it comes to what is tasty and what is not. I have read many of other people's review on the burger, but I seem to enjoy the burger here. It is always cooked how I ask for it. It is juicy and it is huge! Overall, if you are hungry... plan to wait for a while to be seated on a Friday night or Saturday night which seems to be the nights I go here. The servers are very nice and try to please the customers as expected. The only issue I have are with the ladies in the front who take down your name. They are for some reason always pissed. They must really hate their job or something. They make the outback experience a little less pleasurable.

Love Outback's food. This has been my local Outback for a long time. The food and service have fluctuated, but currently it is very good. I like to order from their takeout. My tip is to order online so that it is ready when you arrive. Sometimes I have had an issue with the food, but if you contact the manager they will always work to resolve the problem.

What can I add about a chain restaurant that has been around for ages? Not too much. Although there are more interesting places to dine in the area, a friend had a coupon for a free steak & wanted to dine here. It had been several years since I have had dinner at Outback & I was used to it being very crowded. For lunch today, it was practically empty. The dark restaurant during the day was a little sad looking. Considering that there were so few customers, the service was pretty weak. We had to flag our server down to take our order, for drink refills, etc. There are lunch special pairs for about $8.00 on the menu which can leave one full on the cheap if very hungry (soup or salad & a variety of dishes (burgers, quesadillas, etc. ). My son had the French Onion Soup (flavorful, not too salty), which he could barely finish & a cheeseburger (pretty big & tasty). My 10 year old had a kid's meal: big cheeseburger & fries for $4.99. We also shared some apps: wings (eh) & those over glorified onion rings: the bloomin onion. Husband liked his ribs and our friend just adored his ribeye. I started with the special salad with blue cheese, nuts, etc. Forgot to ask for the dressing on the side & it was way over dressed. I was brought the wrong tilapia dish (instead of plain grilled, it had crab stuffing, mushrooms, & a butter sauce). Not wanting to wait longer. I kept it and it was good. Just what I was expecting from Outback! No surprises as far as food but the service needs to be better.

You really can't go wrong with Outback- their food is usually pretty consistent and good. They have grate soups and free bread plus their service is top of the line at this location!

I would stretch my rating to a 3.5 if possible. I prefer family owned restaurants to chains any day but the kids love coming here and they got their pick this time. It just seems like it's not like it used to be here. I got a rib-eye and it was just OK (and I love rib-eye) The bloomin' onion was as greasy as it always is and has been (not really a complaint) My wedge salad was good but that isn't rocket science. When in this plaza, I opt for Landlubbers over here any day!!

My first time at outback and I must say that the service at this location was outstanding. They opened the front door when we arrived and when we left. Our server was super attentive and quick with our order. He made a small mistake with the dressing, but otherwise the entire evening was nice. We ordered the blooming onion, since I had never eaten it and probably will never eat it again because of the immensely high calorie content. Their martini is delicious and priced well. The shrimp appetizer is fairly big, too and is enough for a dinner portion, if you add a side of veggies or salad with it.

Drove from the Coral Springs location to this one and I'm sure glad we did. Hosts were very pleasant and prompt , and service was excellent. Wish I would have gotten the waiters name, but he was great at suggestions, polite and very efficient. My daughters food came out right away with the appetizers and everything that followed was promptly paced, not rushed. I will be coming back to this location just for the service. =) thanks outback plantation for the lovely evening.

Hey, it's an Outback. All over the country and no matter where you go, what that is supposed to mean is that the steaks are good, the service is good, and the experience will be much better than going to a Bonanza or a Logans. Not here. We lasted through a meal whereby it is overly apparent that there is a systemic problem running throughout all the threads of the business. That is, the food is not backed up by good service. In my experience, it is apparent that either the training for the wait staff is inadequate, the wait staff is just inadequate, OR the manager just hasn't enough people to take care the customers. This is noticed when they disappear not to be seen again nor bring the right things that you ordered. Because there are so few of them, they don't have the time to express any sense of friendliness, tell you about the menu, or make suggestions. This is also translated in that they also don't have the time to get the order right. Not only were the wrong drinks brought, but there was also an altercation between the bartender and the wait staff behind us. There apparently is no chemistry there which may be part of the problem itself. When the food was finally brought out the filet looked like a shoe sole that had been left out in the rain. Not only was it well done when ordered otherwise, it also wasn't a filet as you could read the newspaper through it. No, this was a steak that would have been a reject at Denny's. Add to that our salads and appetizers were brought out in shifts whereby I would get one, then after I was done my wife would get one. It became clear that perhaps the problem might be in the kitchen. Back to the steak, I spoke the waitress who whisked it away and told her it wasn't being added to the bill. The manager, came out and apologized, but it was apparent that this wasn't his first trip out to apologize. I wanted him to look at the meal that came out which included a sweet potato that apparently had been incinerated by the micro wave, but somehow the plate disappeared. I don't complain about food and I don't send it back, but when it's this bad in tandem with the service, it bothers me that there is an expectation that I would be happy about giving them money for a ruined night. Despite the promise of a free meal, we won't be back and will give the thought of going to another Outback a second thought. Yikes.

I struggle rating chains - they are predictable everywhere and just not what I want in a meal. Tonite, due to time constraints, I gave Outback a go. If I had ordered that steak in a non-chain, two stars. But given the chain deal, I'll bump it up a star (I am a chain snob, admittedly). The meal was good - not great, not something that really got me, but not bad at all. Porterhouse med rare, fairly well cooked and seasoned well but just not a great cut if beef. Vegis were oversteamed, salad nothing to get excited about and baked tater good.

Almost a year later and I'm back with MIL and kids. This time we had grandpa and dad along for the ride. Again no complaints. Seated immediately, waitress popped up in a matter of minutes to take our drink and apps. order. Came back in minutes with the drinks. Not much later all the apps appeared and were promptly gobbled down. A trip to the loo with my little one and came back to a cleared table with entrees served. This time I had filet medallions cooked medium (and they were) with rice and grilled pineapple and grilled veggies. And it was GOOD. Everyone else said they were happy with their choices. However the kids mac and cheese this time was not as good as last. The little one didn't like it and neither did I. This time it was like Velveeta cheese melted on top. We were ALMOST too stuffed for desserts...but managed to share one between five of us. Desserts are MEH for me so I'm never one to add or drop a star for desserts. Service was excellent even though the place was full. I was a little apprehensive going back after re-reading my review from last year this afternoon and wondering if my review last year was slightly skewed based on the fact that we were starving and cold. But I'm happy to say that Outback served our purposes again tonight. A happy meal to end the in-laws annual visit at a place they like and which doesn't break the bank for the guy paying the check (hi honey).

Don't go here on a Friday night. Unless you like to wait. I generally like Outback, but I don't care to wait 30 to 45 minutes for a seat. Their food is not that good. On the bright side, they passed out food samples and took drink orders while you waited. My husband thought their Bloody Mary was very good, and he is very picky when it comes to a Bloody Mary. They also have a plenty of seating inside and outside so you aren't packed in like sardines. One of the samples they passed out was the Alice Springs Chicken Quesadilla. I love a quesadilla. Chicken, melty cheese, tortilla, what's not to love? Anyway, the quesadilla itself was good, but the dipping sauce included in the cup was honey mustard. Honey mustard sauce with a quesadilla? No. Just no. I'd love to know who thought that was a good idea. After about 35 minutes we were finally seated, and the waiter brought out the standard bread. I didn't remember it being so bland, but my son loved it. The waiter was great, by the way. One thing i will give Outback, even when it is really crowded, the service is always excellent. My husband and I had Caesar Salads. Huge portions, but I needed more croutons. I had a NY Strip, very well cooked, but under seasoned. I added salt. The fries were unremarkable. I knew the fries weren't great because my five-year-old son didn't care for them. And let me tell you, he would eat a sweat sock if it was deep fried and served with ketchup. My husband had a Porterhouse. The steak was huge, and he enjoyed it. The green beans he had were good but he thought they were a little overcooked. We shared a huge scoop of ice cream with Oreo crumbs for dessert, and it was no different than what I could make it home. Would I return? Probably not. I feel like their quality has declined a good bit over the years. Or maybe I am just outgrowing them. There are plenty of other restaurants to visit where you don't have a 35 minute wait, that have way better food.

There were 3 in our party- I had pork loin w/ baked sweet potato; one had the tenderloin; and other had salmon. All were very good- service was great (Paul). We arrived by five tho and it got quite crowded by the time we left there was a waiting crowd.

Have not been to outback in a while... This location was not the cleanest outback I have seen. The food prices have gone up a lot since I have been. 22 bucks for once person is a lot of money for what you get. Not even a steak meal. Chicken with a side salad. The chicken was very fatty. The French fries were cold not cooked all the way. Still super soggy. The waitress also was very rude.

We have eaten twice at this Outback restaurant and been disappointed. We received a coupon for steak and lobster for $14.95. We said that it wasn't current. We ended up ordering prim rib and lobster for $26.95. We ordered it medium rare and it came blood rare and was tuff and I not even sure it prime rib meat. We also found take they have too many menus and which was very confusing. The service was a little slow. If you are going to spend $80+ for a steak dinner try J. Alexander a few miles away.

This place is garbage. They could mess up a wet dream. 45 minute ticket times and incorrect orders are a normal here. I worked at an outback before and I can say that this one is really a let down. I'm surprised they maintain their proprietor and franchise. I made it clear im allergic to cucumbers. What do I get? A salad full of them. Greasy steaks, cold food, poor service. Plus, I hope you like steaks off the floor because I personally saw a manager pick one up and put it back on the grill. Enjoy it you sheep.
