Blessed to have in our small town. Coffee, sandwiches, Great Atmosphere Must try!! In the Old Railroad Station.
This is now The Toasted Mug. Owned by a lovely local Woman. Great place to grab a bite to eat and a tasty coffee. So cute inside, cozy with dark walls and comfy oversized chairs and couches- I'll be visiting again!
We were in Perry last weekend. I went to Java Depot for a coffee. What a great coffee shop! They are so nice here and the atmosphere is very peaceful. I will for sure be back!!!!

MAmazing food for the prices and quantity! We had a full bbq rib meal, a full 2 meat 'combo' meal that came with 2 large sides and 2 appetizers (small size fried green tomatoes and nothing small about it) and also order of fried pork skins (also huge) and 2 beverages for $23, yes $23 AMERICAN DOLLARS. I wasn't crazy about the chicken in my meal but I don't generally like breast because it always seems dry to me so I should have specified what piece I wanted, but the flavor seemed good. The ribs...to die for. They were not "fall off the bone" as the menu states (I prefer to gnaw the meat off mine so I thought they were perfect) very moist and tender with a delicious smokiness and multiple delicious homemade bbq sauces from which to choose. Cole slaw was good, it was very fresh and not drowning in dressing which is good but otherwise pretty average. The only thing I didn't care for was the potato salad. It didn't taste homemade so if it was it just wasn't my "style" of potato salad ( too much " stuff" in it and too sweet for my taste.) Fried tomatoes were just okay but you couldn't beat the price, if in the mood I would get them again. Same for the fried pork skins, good but even better for the price. If in the area there is no question I would stop here again. Place could have been a touch cleaner but it was little things not big things so not a deal breaker.
Delicious, good-ole Southern BBQ. Take the back road and make a stop here for sure! They even have a drive-thru for those in a rush. ;) The ribs and pulled pork sandwich are awesome!
Yes, Yes, Yes, one-thousand-times YES! Before living in the NW I lived in two BBQ states (Florida and Oklahoma). Yeah, you can get good BBQ up here but you really have to hunt for it and it's often overly gourmet/fu-fu and a bit pricey. While I was in Florida for Christmas I wanted to tag the state high point (as a mountaineer I figured this would be a good way to stay in shape over Christmas)...problem is it's quite a drive from where my parents live. I saw that Perry, FL was roughly the half-way point. As we were driving through town, me and brother got HANGRY. So I fired up Yelp and found this place. So, so glad I did that. The portions are huge, the quality is awesome, and the service makes you feel like you're part of the family. It's hard enough to find BBQ in the NW that fulfills one of these, let alone all three! For less than $10 I got: ribs, beef, pork, AND chicken! Oh, and TWO sides..on and TWO pieces of Texas Toast...oh, and COBBLER for dessert (you have to ask for the cobbler, and if you do...they bring it out FOR FREE) My only complaint was that their "hot" BBQ sauce was a bit funky and could've used some more heat.

Awesome glazed donuts. Awesome peanut butter cookies, all for really cheap. Their lunches are pretty solid too for a hole in the wall. Not the biggest selection (standard burger, sandwiches, etc), but all pretty cheap. I usually get whatever their special is (chicken and rice and a couple sides last time) and always thought it was good. Definitely beats going to the fast food joints. Nice people too.
My folks get donuts from this bakery when the craving strikes. This is a local business and they beat the stuffing out of Krispy Kreme and Dunkin. (Blasphemy!) Warm, fresh, glazed donuts as big as your fist just can't be beat. They don't overdo the glaze like Krispy Kreme, either. Even cold, they are out of this world. If you are making your way north or south on US 19, check out this little shop. They close at 1PM on Saturday, so you have to hit them early enough to get the goodies.
Excellent doughnuts and surprisingly good coffee. The counter help can be a little dim and sullen, but they've probably been up since about 4 am so I cut them some slack. Limited selection, but everything they make is terrific.

Casa Grande Mexican Restaurant Bar & Grille

Reviews:
Headed back to Tallahassee from Orlando, we were on the outskirts of Perry when Yelp suggested a handful of restaurants right around dinner time. Given the democratic process agreed upon in the car, we opted for Casa Grande. New to us, yet clearly a go-to place for those yearning for a li'l taste of "viejo Mexico" in the big 32347/48. We drove right by a place billing itself as "Old Mexico" (if there are fans of it - perhaps enter it in Yelp, right?). In any case, we had a good dinner, consisting of guac/queso/salsa and chips for starters - followed by tacos, chimchangas, and bistek Mexicana as entrees. All quite nice. service was solid - fare matched up. Our go-to Mexican venue when in Perry.
After driving in and through Perry a few times, we noticed this Mexican restaurant always had quite a few cars in their lot. Thought we would give it a go. Atmosphere, not what you'd expect from a Mexican restaurant. Kind of plain . Menu had a lot of options, decent prices. I ordered the beef (ground) burrito with beans. Came with a bit of sour cream and guacamole. It also had a very small amount of red sauce on top. Hubby ordered the three enchiladas, two chicken, one cheese. Lots of good white meat. They offer all day two for one happy hour drinks. We had margaritas on the rocks. Not very memorable. Food was hot, but very, very bland. Perfect for those who don't usually care for mexican food due to, too much heat or spice. Service was excellent. But we won't be back.
The other reviews on this place are not truthful. This place is GREAT! It's cleaner than most places around here, and the food and prices are amazing. They have a 2-1 all day... We got amazing margaritas on a Sunday here before heading to the movies... Amazing food! Even the salsa is pretty good.

Cleaner than most of the other restaurants around, the only complaint is that they are a bit slow on getting you food. I would not recommend the Mexican part of the menu, but the burgers are fresh and great tasting.

3.5 to 4 star for Perry. Located on your left as you go SW 98 out of town before you get to (the formerly famous) Deal's seafood restaurant. Management at the Hampton Inn in Perry recommended Revells. On a Friday night it was packed with friendly Perry natives. Had an outstanding grouper fillet. Good service. Fun to sit, watch, listen, and eat. ---SammyR

This is a very nice place to grab lunch. The decor is very rustic and worn. The cook sure doesn't care food great. my wife is very picky, but. she was able to get a plain turkey with american cheese on white bread. I had the pork lunch special with hot sauce. Very good. The sweet potato fries were best I've had in a long time actually sweet. If you want good food and don't mind worn decor with load locals this is the place to eat in Perry, Fl. Really busy 11:30 to 12:30 parking lot packed
Fried chicken, collard greens, green beans, potato salad, garlic mashed potatoes and banana pudding! Sunday special .
If you like sitting on vinyl duct tape eat there. I sure don't. The food was hit and miss.

Great food that is always fresh and flavorful. Menu can sometimes be confusing but it has plenty of choices, and the staff is always friendly and helpful so you can make the perfect choice for lunch, dinner, a hearty snack or dessert. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. One particularly stormy day the owner/head chef actually produced an umbrella and walked me to my car. You can eat in or take out. If I had my way, I would eat there everyday! They also do catering which is great for parties or special occasions. Mama's is a gem of a place in this small town.
Nice service - we had a to go order after a long drive and we ordered the chicken parmesan, mozzarella squares, and the lasagna--- the mozzarella bites completely fell apart, the chicken parmesan was really dry and my husbands lasagna was complete mush- just not good at all--would not recommend - I gave the two stars for the nice people behind the counter
We were passing through on our way to Tampa area . I like going down SR#19 to see countryside and small towns along the way. If you are passing through Perry, I'd just suggest you keep going. The only place getting decent reviews was out of business and the gas station where we enquired about it, didn't seem aware of that. Mama's was the only place short of Pouncy's which is clearly a a southern white biker hangout. The food at Mama's was American version of Italian, and not a great interpretation at that. Pasta, marinara sauce and meatballs were just ok. Not fresh or especially well seasoned. What really made me think they don't pay much attention to food is the way the bread was presented. A plastic basket with two pieces of stale, cold bread . I mean stale as in semi-hard and dry and " spit it in your napkin stale". When I told the waitress she said nothing and left it there until I told her to take it away, please! All is not lost if dessert is ok. So all was lost here. Help wasn't too sure what they had and the lemon meringue pie was a mystery to me. It was soggy graham cracker crust with a cream filling and meringue topping that was tasteless for most part, when I don't finish a dessert, the cold day in hell is upon us, so bundle up. As I said before, if you are hungry and in Perry, keep on going.

Customer service was Eh...our table was the only table and yet I had to wave down our server to order food. Food was OK aka kind of bland. Had the Chicken Flautas, with rice and refried beans and guacamole. Overall the chicken was the most tasty component but the beans and rice tasted like they used little to no spice. Similarly, the salsa and chips provided to the table was sub par since the salsa tasted like it was just canned tomatoes and the chips left one with greasy fingers. Supposedly the best Mexican in Perry. Well, it definitely stays with you because I was feeling that food for the next 24 hours...in waves. Opt for a Taco Bell
I should have left when I entered the front door. Food is decent but the staff could care less if you are here. Still trying to settle the check while the staff is sweeping the floor and it is an hour to closing time. Restaurant has a great design but they are missing an opportunity. Doubt they will be in business much longer. If you are in Perry and want Mexican try Casa Grande!!
I don't get this place. The staff made me feel like I was a bother to them and maybe I should go home. The food was okay, but not what I would describe as either authentic or yummy. Not going back.
