Decent take out, fast delivery. Free Chinese doughnuts with delivery, somehow their doughy goodness is slightly addicting. Their Mongolian beef is very good, but different from others I've tried- it has lots of crispy veggies. Fried rices are more favorable than other places in town. My daughter considers herself a connoisseur of Rangoon and says theirs is mighty tasty. I don't think it's the best for sit down, but if you are in their delivery area, and feeling too lazy to cook- give it a try!

A good Chinese takeout place but James Kitchen in Gulf Breeze is better. Though this place is really cheap.

The fried rice we ordered did not have any veggies nor egg in it. The rest of the order was ok but not the quantity we requested. A bit expensive for the portion size.

Open on Christmas. (Good thing some stereotypes are true!) Food was fine for quick service chinese. The pork dumplings were actually very good.

I used to go here all the time (1-2 times a week) a few years ago, but the quality of the food and the service has gone downhill and isn't worth the time and money anymore. There are much better places to get chinese food around here. More than once the cashier has been rude when taking my order and yelling when I couldn't understand what he was saying. Haven't been back in 3 years.

The order taker was more concerned with her cell phone than service. The food had zero flavor. The chicken in the friend rice was boiled and white as a bone. This place wouldn't make it in the big city for a week....NEVER again.

I was really surprised to see all of the negative reviews. We have been ordering take out or delivery from Yums for years and have NEVER had a problem. The Good: Yum's give you a ton of great tasting food for an extremely reasonable price. We always make at least 3 meals out of our orders. The portions and ingredients are consistent. They always throw in a free order of chinese donuts for orders over $30. The rice is nice and sticky, just the way we like it. You can ask for spicy hot if you like it spicy. The egg drop soup is the best I've had in Pensacola. The crab rangoon actually has plenty of cream cheese left in it after being fried. They deliver. The Bad: The only negative thing I could think of is I wouldn't want to eat in, there are only 4 tables and no A/C. The Ugly: The stuffed pork buns are gross. Conclusion: If you are looking for fine dining, this is not the place. But if you are looking for great tasting Chinese, ample portions, and a fair price you should be very happy with Yums.

First got food from Yum's 2 years ago and couldn't have been more disappointed...they clearly care more about their bottom line than customer service or their product. Our General Tso's chicken was soggy and clearly made hours ago, and because it was near closing, we got leftovers... Fast forward a year or so, and we ended up calling Yum's despite our vows not to, due to a coupon we received...and man was it good! Two good visits in a row had us wanting to come back. Fast forward to today...treated very rudely, uncooked egg roll, and received something similar but different from what I ordered - also undercooked. Very frustrating and brought me right back to where I started. The good visits in the middle were enough for me to give it 2 stars instead of 1. Won't be going back.

I love Yums. The food is always good and they are one of the few places in my area of pcola that delivers. Decent priced, about the same as every other Chinese restaurant. Always satisfied.

I went with my co-workers for lunch at the recommendation of one of them. I ordered the Shrimp with Garlic Sauce based on the picture on the wall which led me to believe that it would come with a light colored sauce. Instead, what I got was a syrupy gelatinous brown gel which one might call garlicky, if by that you mean very sweet and not tasting like garlic. The shrimp were large but some still had legs on them and almost had tails despite being peeled. They were fishy tasting as well. The veggies were OK and it came with a lot of rice. The upside is that it was cheap at $5.25 including a 12 oz can of soda. I won't be going back.

Service was quick and friendly, but don't let that deceive you. Mongolian beef was bland as could be and found pieces of undercooked meat mixed in with the random vegetables they threw in. Mongolian beef is typically an onion dish and I found maybe one slice. The spring rolls also weren't cooked all the way through. Seemed busy, but every customer was ordering General Tso's--chicken may be a safer meal here.

I had just moved to the area and was excited to try a new Chinese place. They had mei fun on the menu, which is angel hair rice noodles , and is my favorite dish. What a disappointment. The meat and shrimp were so small it was hard to find them, and they put mushroom in, which I am allergic to, and had to pick out. Also, the dish had no taste. Had I not grabbed a handful of packets of duck sauce , I would have not even bothered eating this. The owner was on the phone arguing with someone trying to place a take out order. Apparently the delivery minimum is 18 and the person ordered their food and asked for the rest in bottles of water. He yelled at them that he doesn't make any money on beverages and they needed to order more food. Wow. Business is business. I asked for a bag of noodles and was told there was a $.50 charge ? Really? I was nice enough to tip on a take out order. Shame because I'm looking for a regular Chinese place, and I won't be back.

For a sit-down restaurant, I wouldn't recommend it, but for the price and quick response on food orders, Yums is a great take-out spot.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
