Worst experience I think I have ever had at a restaurant I ordered 2 sandwiches for my husband and I we started eating them and thought they were good but thankfully the next bite I went to take I looked down and in a piece of the lettuce that was in my sandwich was a dead fly and it looked like it was dead for some time. We went in and of course wanted to speak to a manager but they told us there was none in at the moment and prceded to be completely rude and after a bit of arguing they gave us a refund. First off how at a restaurant can there not be any sort of management available just in case there was a problem. Second how can you try and argue about giving a refund for there being a dead fly in the lettuce especially when we brought the food back. There only comment for the fly being in there is that the lettuce they purchase is from local farmers. But how can that be an excuse do they not wash the lettuce they get in or inspect the food. I will NEVER eat there or at any other pita pit ever!!!!!!

Great place for a quick lunch downtown. You can customize your meal, choosing type of meat, bread, vegetables, and sauces. Good (and healthier) alternative to other greasy fast foods! Friendly staff.

OMG!!! Why isn't this place EVERYWHERE? I'm from NYC and we don't have Pita Pit up here and we SHOULD. I had steak put 3 days out of the week that I was visiting FL. Freaking Awesome Food! I could get enough of it. Oh and the staff by far the friendliest and nicest people I've encountered working at a fast food place..

My wife, two sons and I have become Monday night regulars!!! Always a great experience with very friendly, helpful, courteous, and well mannered staff. They make you feel right at home. You cannot beat their Monday after 4pm deal -- a pita and drink for $5...Awesome Deal!!!!! Try some veggies on the grill cooked with your meat and have them add some sauce too...really maximizes the flavors! My favorite is the Dagwood with grilled veggies and sweet chili sauce...getting hungry just thinking about it!!! Give them a try and you'll become a regular too.

I was a fan of Pita Pit before I moved to Pensacola, so I was happy to find one here. The food is fresh and they will grill pretty much anything you want to stuff inside the pita. I wish the inside had a bit more seating, but this is a perfect stop if you're grabbing food on the go. The staff was very friendly and fast with my order.

Food is good for the price. Plenty of menu options and the items to select from for the toppings are fresh and plentiful. If they had online ordering I would give them a five but to be honest I don't like to call and order for a delivery order anymore. Call it being picky or spoiled...I call it living in 2012.

Very cool spot with good food. I am new to the area and all I needed was one visit to get me hooked. Try the U-Dub, it's delicious!

This Pita Pit, like all the others at which I've eaten, is as reliable as ever. It is interesting that of, Pensacola's 2 Pita Pits, this one is on the north edge of town, in a shopping center dominated by Target (or "Tar-jay" if pronouncing it a la Frenchy, as some people comically do), while the other sits in the heart of the city, on a coveted corner such as Palafox and Garden Highway. So I went in here. I had the gyro pita. That's what I order every time. Every time. I made sure it had cucumbers, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce, but no onions. It was delicious. Then, with a small drink machine, they had Cherry Coke. The fact that I like that stuff makes me feel like I'm 12, but so be it. I like it, so I won't be apologizing. The prices are always fair. The people working that day were these two very casual and friendly dudes who were real helpful with directions and a lady, the apparent manager, who gave an "a-ok" to a coupon I had found. They made for a great atmosphere and vibe. It's interesting that it's on a road named "Nine Mile." If I recall, the Detroit suburbs have a road with the same name. So, if in P-cola's burbs, eat here. If in downtown P-cola, I'm sure the Palafox and Garden location will suit you just fine.

This is mostly a review for the service. Of the five times I have gone to this Pita Pit it has had some of the rudest and lazy servers I have ever met. The second to last time that I walked in no servers were at the counter. However there were several customers still eating in (this was odd enough because shouldn't someone be out to watch these customers)? I waited for about eight minutes for anyone to leave the backroom, and the other customers and I could hear them in the back room talking, loudly. This last time I went in and received the same irritated and nasty attitude from the girl behind the counter. When I tried to correct my order to her before they started making it she snapped "We will ASK you about what you want." I thought about walking out right then but I would have had to deal with her to get my money back. The guy who was helping her behind the counter was practically slinging the food around. He actually sprayed some of the Ancho Chile sauce into the cheese container without even noticing. Then proceeded to messily wrap up my pita. It is a real pity because the food is good. However this is it and I will not be going back. Maybe I will try the other establishment to see if the service is better. My recommendation? Try the Chic-fil-a instead, the service is unbelievable and the food is perfect.

First impressions... This was my very first time at Pita pit I arrived at 9pm and it went a little something like this We walked in and picked up the menu and then looked at the options on the line as the menu wasn't very descriptive. At this point the young lady working the line already seemed irritated and wasn't thrilled when we said we didn't know exactly what we want and told us to go to the register to order. Now at the register the young man was VERY pleasant and informative he told us how pita pit works, what pairs well and didn't rush our decision. Back to the end to add vegetables and sauces...to be honest the pita was really good but the young lady's attitude discouraged me from adding all the toppings I wanted. She acted so inconvenienced when we asked for anything to be put on the grill with our meat. She really seemed to hate her Job. If you can tolerate this kind of customer service go in because the food is really good.
