I drove all the way across town to get to Panera, and I was not disappointed. For a location at the mall, this place is big with tons of seating. There is sometimes a backup at the drink machine, but other than that they do a nice job of handling the crowds. As for ordering, I love the tuna salad on honey wheat. Couple that with some of the tomato soup and you are in for a delicious lunch. I feel like this is pretty healthy as far as fast food goes. Hey, it's better than a greasy burger and fries (at least in my mind). Panera is a great place for lunch. You get a good meal without feeling weighed down. I am definitely a fan!

My one star rating has nothing to do with the quality of food, as I have eaten at other Panera Bread locations and enjoyed the food. My one star rating comes from the terrible quality of service my boyfriend and I received at this location! We stopped in for lunch at the end of our vacation on our way to the airport. After placing our order, and handing over our gift card (the reason we chose Panera Bread over some of the other nearby restaurants) we were informed that they were having problems with the gift card system, but the girl helping us tried to run the card anyway. After two or three attempts, a manager walked by and when the girl working told him of the problem, he very abruptly (not to mention rudely!) said "there's a problem with the system." And walked away--leaving her with no other option than to tell us they would not accept the payment and we had to use another form of payment. Obviously, that is not what we expected so we decided to go elsewhere. The girl then shouted, in front of everyone standing around us for the kitchen to cancel the order, which may have embarrassed some people, but just further annoyed us! I currently work in the restaurant industry, and have for several years, and this was absolutely the worst way I can imagine management handling this situation! I am incredibly disappointed with the way this Panera Bread handled the situation, and it will probably be a very long time before I even think about going in to another location.

I'm quite disappointed with this Panera. The food is not like the other Panera establishment that I've been to. The sandwich was cold and the bread wasn't that fresh.

Oh Panera, you complete me. I spent an absurd amount of time at Panera Bread in Indiana while in college. Free wifi, coffee, and delicious food... I think I spent more time there than on campus, really. Anyway, since moving to New Orleans, I have been having Panera cravings. When I realized our weekend holiday would bring me close to my favorite chain, I made that stop for lunch a priority. The Mediterranean veggie sandwich was always my go-to, because I love the Tomato Basil sourdough bread. Thus, I ordered my Pick 2, with a cup of Chicken Tortilla soup, and then the wait began. Tip: If you are in a hurry, don't come to this location around noon on a Saturday. I think my party of 3 waited about 20 minutes for our food to be prepared. It was worth it, of course, since I haven't enjoyed my beloved Panera Bread in 3 years... but this would seem slow if I was merely stopping for a quick bite. Anyway, the employees were all friendly. The food was delicious, as usual. I left with a loaf of the Tomato Basil bread (try making your own garlic butter spread, put some of that on it, and grill it... serve with your favorite italian dish. Yum!). Oh, and the restaurant itself was quite clean. Maybe they have read some of the complaints on Yelp? Or maybe I just visited after they cleaned, who knows. I really, really hope they hurry up and build a Panera Bread somewhere in the NOLA metro area. In the meantime, I'll enjoy my take-home loaf of bread and reminisce about my visit to Panera.

The food is great and I love the "pick 2" deal. You can get a soup/salad, soup/sandwich, or sandwich/salad combo. The bakery is pretty good too. The facility is nice and there are a lot of places to sit down. A lot of people hang out and eat while they study or do projects. The service is a hit or miss though. Some people are really nice and other people are rude and seem to just want to move on to the next customer.

The worst panera I have ever been to. Mac and cheese was not up to par, I could get the same thing out of a blue box. Pensacola ruins everything.

I love panera, this location always has friendly staff and such. The green tea is great, I love that stuff and the mac and cheese. I love Panera, and it would've gotten a higher star if they kept this one a little cleaner. The tables need to be wiped more often and the place for dirty utensils grosses me out in general, but they should try and keep that area a little more cleaner. I won't ever stop going here because I like the food, but it needs a little extra cleaning. Oh, and count on it always being crowded during lunch time. Even during the week.

Hey, lots of memories here when I lived here 4 years ago. And for that, 4 stars.

Given a choice between supporting a mega chain like Panera, and visiting one of our amazing downtown eateries in Pensacola, I always try to stop downtown. But I found myself near the mall, and we decided on Panera Bread. The food is always consistent - as with any chain. This location is extremely crowded (probably due to the holidays), and they limit Wi-Fi usage to 30 minutes. What I love about Panera Bread is that the calories for their items are listed right on the menu. It makes it much easier to make a sensible choice. Lunch come out to around 400 calories total. If you order the soup, don't forget to add the bread into your calorie count! ;-)

Costs almost as much as a sit down restaurant and is insanely crowded at lunch but the food is good and the staff is friendly.

Panera Bread is a chain so it's pretty hard to go wrong.

I wish that Yelp had the no-star option because this Panera Bread Company would get a goose egg. Where to start? Filthy: Numerous tables that hadn't been cleaned. The carpet, windows etc were disgusting. Employees: Overstaffed with no management on duty. Whether waiting for our meals or at ourr table all you heard was young unsupervised apathetic workers in a large b.s. session. Food: High prices, low quality. to me, one hallmark of going out to eat is whether I could create the same quality food @ home for near the same price, if so, I can eat at home and save a few dollars. We had two sandwiches that cost us nearly 18.00. Needless to say, I could have made it at home for about 3.00. I had a Chipolte Chicken that was bland. I asked for a side of chipolte sauce and with virtually no patrons it took five minutes. No exaggeration. Bad food, bad staff and dirty. Will we go back? Not if you were paying!

One night before closing, Panera asked me to do a survey, which I did, and it was pretty scathing. I said that Panera set the bar pretty low on hygiene, yucky fingerprints were smeared on the glass doors all the time, and the food was overpriced for the quality. I said there was a mini sofa and a chair for that cozy-cafe effect, but it was layered with grime of way too much humanity sitting in it, literally *black* at the handrests and butt area and even torn. I said I felt that this Panera could get away with this because they were right across from a big hospital, and still had cafe allure, because some Pensacolians want somewhere else to go above the level of "Crabs -We Got 'Em", so Panera had cornered this sandwich-and-coffee market without really trying. And voila... the filthy sofa and chair things gone! It actually looks cleaner! Now, I'm not saying that my little survey actually reached anyone's ears or anything... but Panera is looking good! Now, if we can just get the prices down...

I did notice they were understaffed with several empty tables that had not been cleared for several minutes, I finally cleaned my own table to have a place to sit down. Once again I have eaten at Panera Bread in another state and never had a problem, don't know if it is just this town but this franchise was either understaffed or employed teenagers that were not doing their jobs. They did not have any available breads to buy and my meal was so so and it was dirty.
