I came here before their grand opening, so maybe a little unfair to post a review, but it's positive so that shouldn't matter. Restaurant is small, but I was seated immediately. The decor is modern and trendy. The tables are on the smaller side, so not the best place for a large party. I ordered miso soup and a few different sushi dishes. The octopus sashimi was perfectly paired with the lemon and watercress, and nigiri tasted fresh. I did order a philly roll just to fill me up, and that was a mistake. Somebody at the table ordered a specialty roll which was fried and warm, and had beef in it. Ramen soup was delicious. The food tasted fresh and the options were aplenty. Service is fine -- and the server answered all questions about the menu to satisfaction. Overall, their menu is a pleasant mix of traditional sushi, american style sushi, and something creative. They also have noodle soup. The main downside is the price, but nobody ever said sushi is supposed to be cheap.

The first time I went it was delicious. The second time the sushi was ok and the ramen tasteless, not enough hot sauce made it better.

If I could only eat at one place for the rest of my life, it might be Nom Sushi Izakaya! Only not on Sunday or Monday as they are closed. Finally having my schedule sync with Nom was a blessing as they exceeded my expectations!! Fresh, local, unique, with a pleasant big city feel without the big city prices. A dining experience that elevates Pensacola's downtown offerings, will be back with more friends!

My experience at Nom yesterday was outstanding. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed the white, minimalistic decor and thought it was quite nice. We went pretty early, but I suspect it's really romantic at night. Our server was prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. We ordered the sake flight and our server set them up as they should be tasted and told us what they were. We then ordered the chicken shoyu ramen with added pork belly and it was incredible! The broth was quite nice and the little pieces of fried chicken were my favorite part. It came with some scallions, a soft egg, and mushrooms also. We read on the menu that the noodles are made in-house and they were leagues above the ubiquitous grocery store ramens we've all had before. Prices are not cheap, but neither is the food, the experience or the service. Everything I ordered was terrific, so I had no problem with the prices. This is the best food I've had in Pensacola in my lifetime and I hope to return soon. Keep up the good work, Nom team!

A restaurant with no competition, well the competitors are there, but there is no competition. Talya my server was quick with a smile and fast with suggestions. I like that when I asked about the pork Ramen she rolled her eyes and said it's just so good. So of course my order was the pork Ramen. I also got the tuna mini tacos. Tuna many tacos were a piece of artwork unto themselves. However, they were also very tasty. The pork Ramen was artwork visual art work and a mouthful of artwork. It was beautiful. and the broth was so flavorful and tasty and picturesque. The soup came with two bountiful sizes of pork belly and fried pork ear, and of course very tasty very well done and very homemade Ramen noodles. But this is not your typical Pensacola restaurant, because they are far above and beyond so I hope they stay here quite a while. I haven't tried to sushi yet, however, it does look very good and fresh. Sushi really isn't a mainstay in this town for some reason. But I think NOM can pull it off.

RAMEN NOT GOOD! Noodle was not cooked all the way through. The broth was way too salty!! Don't expect too much!!

Excellent! I've been dying for authentic ramen in this town. FINALLY IT'S HERE. And it's delicious. I got the Tonkatsu. Rich, smokey broth... perfectly soft boiled egg, crispy pork... Picture is posted! Sushi is fantastic as well. Prices quite reasonable! Two ramens and a veggie roll, 30 bones. Fat and happy father and daughter. Haha. Kind service, and Christian behind the sushi bar! So glad I ran into him again. Ask him for something unique, you won't be disappointed. Thanks guys! Will definitely back for more ramen and to try them pork bunsss. --edit-- Came back, had the pork buns, loved 'em! Surprisingly creamy! TRY IT.

Excellent sushi. Not your normal choices of sushi either, which is good. A must try item is the Tuna Tacos appetizer!!!

WOW!!! I wish that is all I could say... Price of food matches the amount you receive. Waiter recommended to rolls and they were both outstanding. Sogo and graffiti bridge rolls were very well put together and the chef was willing to offer suggestions as well. Everyone speaks English so you don't and won't feel out of place. If you are in the mood for some good sushi, this is the place to be. On a side note, I don't like anything raw but tried these rolls and ate every last bite!

Had lunch here yesterday. Wanted to try the ramen. It was very good! A tad over priced though in my opinion or else I'd have given 5 stars. The noodles and broth were delicious. I'll certainly return and will try some of their sushi next time.

Could only eat one thing out of an order of 4 sushi rolls and 3 ramen bowls with my family and that was the pork. Lets start with the sushi - the fish was a dull color and not fresh, the rolls were loosely put together, and the tiny fresh herbs were dried up and dead. One of the rolls was a cucumber roll which is really hard to mess up as its meant to be fresh testing, yet they put this odd yellow butter sauce around it which took away any flavor that it may have had (mind you, not fresh sashimi plus loose rolls = no bueno). The deli sushi at grocery stores are honestly better. So I think, ok, it's a ramen place though while bad sushi is no excuse, I can at least eat the ramen. Broth was WAY too salty and the housemade noodles were very soggy. Not sure if this is indicative of handmade ramen, but the noodles would just fall apart with no hint of firmness. The only thing I liked was the pork underbelly and the server was fine (though the service was rather slow). It pains me to write my first 1 star as I know this is a small restaurant, but I had high expectations coming here after hearing all the great reviews. My recommendations to the owners? Hire better sushi chefs, check food quality, and adjust your ramen. Otherwise, stick to the sushi at Tokyo on 9 Mile (one of the sushi chefs is from France and his artistry and passion shows).

Experience; off the charts! Granted it is sushi served from the coast but the fresh taste along with all the flavors...is to die for. Oh & we sat outside near the street, bonus! Did I mention the beer during the meal & the key lime pie afterwards are now 2 of my favorites also! You must go & enjoy the experience!

I was craving some ramen and did a search on Yelp. The closest place to pop up for me was Nom, which was around a 50 minute drive from where I currently was. I was pretty excited after checking out the menu online and the description of the restaurant and decided to make the drive with my partner. I was feeling determined to go anyway as well because Izakaya's are some of my favorite types of restaurants. I'd have to say that the food was okay, and the ramen we had was pretty good for ramen that you find out in the south. It's still a developing food item in these parts of the states. I had the pork tonkatsu ramen, which my broth could have been tastier, it was kind of bland. My partner really liked her chicken broth ramen and I thought it was good too with a nice clear broth. For the prices of the ramen, I was expecting slightly bigger bowls, or more content. The slices of pork belly in my ramen were two very thin slices that really amounted to a typical thin one slice of pork belly found in ramen. We also ordered the takoyaki, a favorite past time of mine, as well as the beef tataki roll (Iron Man), and the pork bun. The Iron Man was okay, nothing to rave about, I couldn't taste the sauce that was provided, there wasn't enough. The pork bun was also okay, but it didn't quite hit that savory umami I was hoping for with the pork belly, scallion, and sauce. The takoyaki was certainly different from what I am used to. It was deep fried and tasted more like a corn cake. I am pretty open to fusion and different ideas on how to make food, but I thought the takoyaki was pretty bad. It was bad because the piece of octopus was tiny, the density of the takoyaki was so heavy, and the worst part was that it was SO DRY! It had been deep fried so long that when the dish first came out I was like, oh, Falafel Takoyaki? That's how dark it was, and parts of it seemed black/burnt and certainly had that taste, you had to bite down hard. The dryness was overwhelming that it was hard to swallow, you had to drink your tea or water to help down it and help it move down your esophagus. So what do I think overall? The service was good, the food I had seemed okay, but stay away from the Takoyaki. A dish that is naturally supposed to be moist, light, and soft. It needs to be remedied. I would probably come back here again for the ramen and to try out different dishes.

I was extremely excited that Pensacola finally had a place that served ramen, but my experience was quite awful, leaving me irritated that I paid for overpriced food I was unable to finish. We started off with the steamed buns and pork gyoza. The pork belly in the buns was hard, making it difficult to chew what is supposed to be a tender, succulent fatty meat that melts/easily falls apart in your mouth. The gyoza was an odd presentation, but at least edible. The tonkotsu ramen was inedible. The shiitakes were advertised as crispy, but I was presented with dehydrated, lifeless, flavorless, and chewy shiitakes. The pork belly was just as bad as that in buns. The broth was one dimensional and lacked the rich depth you expect with ramen. The noodles were mushy upon arrival when they should have been springy. The entirety of my experience at Nom was disheartening and I will not be returning.

Great innovative sushi. Had two rolls one with scallop and bacon and the other the artisan roll (rolled in cucumber). The ramen was good especially on a cool night. Wished I would have asked if they can make it medium or hot spice. Definitely would go back.

Awesome sushi. I went for lunch with a couple of friends today and I was amazed at the quality. This is big-city type quality. I had perfect sushi in Vegas last month and thought I wouldn't have sushi of that quality for a while to come... until today! I suggest the nigiri and definitely the Graffiti Bridge roll. Next time I go I am trying the ramen! I will report back on that dankness.

Finally made it to Nom with a friend who frequents the restaurant. Finding great sushi in Pensacola is difficult at best. Nom has now taken care of that problem! Loved it and will return soon and often.

Impressed. We have found a great spot to enjoy one of our favorite pleasures. Nom offers atmosphere, service, presentation and above all - quality sushi, ramen and unique plates. I have enjoyed quick drop in lunches, romantic dinners with my wife. business lunches and family fun with my entire family at Nom. All very different and all excellent with at least 10 visits since October. The ramen is firm and the broth flavorful with all of the ingredients standing on their own yet in harmony. The appetizers and plates are unique and enjoyable....with my children fighting over the last two servings of octopus.... Sushi, Nigiri and Sashimi are equally as good. Is it the same that I have enjoyed in San Francisco or Seattle....maybe not but certainly in the same neighborhood and barring the airfare, cab and hotel to say in Union Square.... this is better than a substitute. Everyone from server, chef to my fellow diners have made the experience.... Oishii !

This is the best sushi of my life! Ive had sushi in different states but nothing compares to here. Worth all the money. Ramen is good and so is the service! Love this place!

The fish is fresh with firm flesh and great flavor. The knife cuts are impeccable. The rolls are well crafted. The ramen is absolutely outstanding. Every other Japanese restaurant should take notice. This is a fantastic addition to Pensacola.

It's nice to have a local ramen place that also serves great import beers and well prepared sushi! I have only had the chance to eat lunch there one so far, but it was great! Tables are a little cramped and it's a small restaurant but so worth the visit and eats! My only complaint is the lack of veggies with the ramen, as an Asian who LOVES REAL RAMEN-while this is delicious it's been made more palatable and Americanized, offer up a plate of fresh veggies with the ramen and I'll be 100% devoted instead of making my kontatsu ramen at home!!!

Excellent vegan and vegetarian sushi and ramen! There were lots of unique sushi rolls as well as traditional sushi. We have eaten Japanese from San Fran to NYC and Nom has some of the best sushi and ramen we have ever had. We loved the vegan ramen it was delicious!!! This is def one of our new favorite restaurants in pensacola :)

I really like the pork buns. It was very delicious. But, the ramen does not have a lot of flavor, but it was ok. The sushi is "American sushi". It was good. The restaurant is cool. Great place !

....Went this past Saturday night, so we were expecting a long wait but we got a table outside on a lovely summers night as soon as we showed up without reservations. Good music was playing on the above speakers. Fireworks were going off and could be seen from the baseball game down the street. Great ambiance. First thought. Ok. I'm feeling this place. Our waitress was nice informed us of the specials. We started out with ginger beer, Sake and Strongbow. Any place that serves Strongbow instead of Angry Orchard is A-Ok in my book. I work downtown so I'm in this area pretty much every day but its always amusing to people watch on Palafox at night. Its like a whole other world. City Councilman?, check, the local news weather guy? Check. The seedy lawyer who does those horrible commercials representing drunk drivers, check check check... Lets not forget the overdressed 21 year olds being hit on by the 50 something Entourage guys dressed in blazers and jeans. Nom is a great spot for people watching. We started out with appetizers of Steamed pork buns with cilantro, pickled cucumber and tonkatsu sauce. They were good. Not the best, but good for a Pensacola attempt. Next up was the Steelhead Tartare, my favorite dish of the night. It sat on top of sweet potato crisps, with ginger creme fraiche and tobiko. This is a must try dish! I don't know what it says about a restaurant when your favorite dish is an appetizer, but it was good. Our entrees consisted of the Chicken shoyu Ramen, extra spicy, which my bf LOVED and crunch rolls with tuna and snow crab, artisan rolls wrapped in cucumber, and some California rolls. The crunch roll was good, the California rolls were ok, and the artisan rolls I barely ate, wayyyyy to much ginger for my taste and I just wasn't a fan of the cucumber wrap. The food was overall Ok. Nothing terribly impressive. Perhaps we would just come back for the Ramen and Strongbow, oh and to people watch the good citizens of Pcola. Other than that, I'll stick with Sake cafe for my sushi rolls.

Great atmosphere; sat at the bar so I got to watch them make the sushi. A must is the mini tuna tacos for appetizer .. So amazing ! Very flavorful. I got the graffiti bridge roll and it was great as well. Food reflects price of food. Definitely will go back

I've been going to Nom since it opened and I've been excited about a place here that takes ramen seriously! With the exception of a few missteps earlier this year they've done nothing but improve it. I just ate lunch there today and the noodles were on point and the broth was incredible in the tonkotsu ramen. Also, the tuna tacos are a favorite. The only thing I've had that I am not a fan of is the takoyaki, it's just OK.

  • Rose R.

Ramen portion was a little small but still delicious! Tuna tacos were soooo good...especially the guacamole served with it that tasted like it had crab mixed in. The pork belly in the buns could have been crispier but still tasty. So glad to see a place like this in Pensacola! Would def recommend! :)

I've been to Nom 3 times now and each time has been better than the last. The first time was during the soft opening on Halloween night. My girlfriend and I had several of the appetizers, a lionfish sashimi special and two rolls including "the graffiti bridge". The service was fantastic even for a busy night and the atmosphere was comfy. It was a great first experience. On our second trip to Nom, ramen and pork buns were officially on the menu! I had the tonkotsu and my girlfriend had the vegan miso. Both were fantastic. The pork belly and shiitakes on the tonkotsu were perfect and the tofu on the vegan miso was some of the best either of us have ever had. As far as broth goes, the tonkotsu was thick, rich, and delicious. Our third trip was for lunch today with a bunch of friends. We all started with pork buns again (BECAUSE PORK BUNS, MAN!) as well as the delicious sautéed edamame and the fried chicken and green tea salt app (whose name I forgot during my ramen coma). Again everything was fresh and excellent. Despite my borderline obsessive relationship with tonkotsu ramen, I decided to try the shoyu since a friend had recommended it so highly. I added an extra egg and pork belly to ensure maximum afternoon napping and I must say it was fantastic. I travel for work a lot and I stop at every restaurant I can find along my routes that serve any form of ramen. Nom serves the best I have had from here to Greenville. It even rivals several bowls I've had out west. We here in Pensacola are lucky to have such a well rounded and tasty Izakaya. Go support it so I can eat ramen for years to come. Please and thank you.

This place was a delight. I eat a lot of Japanese food (in the USA) and this was up there with the best of them. The sushi offered a lot of variety in type of fish and was delicious. I also had the Ramen which wasn't the best I've had but was not far off. The space is simple and relaxing, service was good.

We decided to go here based on Trip Advisor reviews. And yelps Yes, it is average, both in quality of the fish and presentation. But where else in Pensacola can you go? Found out a few other spots on the beach and outskirts .... So roam around wide and place wise. We had sashimi and sushi and had nothing to complain about. Food and bar service were are avatar, ambience is ok... the wine selection to work well with our choices, if you know how to ask the pours will be more than generous without a doubt. For the downtown atmosphere is not a bad place at all... Pretty views and fun stuff to do.

The service itself was horribly poor, the waiter never introduced himself, and the only way we learned his name was from the check. Did not respond when he was spoken to, and when the meal was over I was not thanked for my business or even acknowledged as I left the restaurant. The food was very Americanized, the noodles in the ramen were way overcooked, and of "cup-o-noodle" quality. The meat was the only good part of the dish, and the "soft boiled egg" was literally just an egg cooked over easy in a pan. Do not waste your money at this pretentious place!

extremely super long Nom Review Tuna tacos - This app was recommended by the server and were terrific.! The tuna mix was by far the most flavorful food of the night - stuffed in a gyoza shell that was golden/crisp, topped w daikon, a sprig of cilantro and a dot of sriracha all upon a bed of guacamole. The guac served as a bed for the two tacos but after the tacos were done w you're left w the guac.. I just ate it w my chopsticks but still was kinda weird like what do I do w this kinda thing. The guac made from a whole avocado was fresh tasting, sorta neutral in flavor not over powering in lime, garlic, or salt.. just pretty regular. Yes I'd recommend this app. Nigiri - I am a huge critic of sushi and didn't think twice about writing a review until I walked in the doors of Nom. To me, Nigiri is sacred - it takes decades to master in old time Japan.. the rice is most important to me, each grain must be evenly coated w vinegar when the rice is delicately "cut" after it's been steamed. When the rice is cut properly, each grain will fall apart or melt in your mouth w ease (there should absolutely be no clumps or balls) you should be able to taste each grain as it separates when eating. I have to admit, Nom's rice was on point.! it's been awhile since I've had delicious nigiri rice. The fish is another story. Though all fish is supplied by one supplier in our emerald coast (w the exception of fresh tuna, which can be caught in our gulf) the presentation is the only aspect that can be judged when critiquing sushi in our area. It takes a skilled hand to create nigiri and it's difficult to describe w just words but I'll try.. Tall, plump, and juicy is how I would describe my ideal nigiri. The nigiri must appear tall as if it's alive and not just flat on the bed of rice, the fish a top the rice has a certain curvature that gives it an apex that's most appetizing. The skilled hand must only form the rice ball w few motions then place the fish a top and form it w both hands and it's done. Very fast technique w as little touching w the hands as possible as the oils in the hands will change the flavor in the fish when touched too often. The fish looked not alive but rather lame in my experience. I ordered the yellowtail and sweet shrimp. My ideal presentation for sweet shrimp would be the two nigiri w the fried tempura heads standing tall, my heads were flat and kinda just there. The tempura fried heads is my dessert when having sushi. They're to be crisp, crunchy, and super flavorful w the first juicy bite. My heads were hot and juicy but the crunch wasn't there, a little soft or soggy you could say but maybe the tempura batter ratio was too thick or the frying oil needed to be changed (older the oil the longer it takes to cool a fried item, longer it takes too cook, longer it soaks up oils in the batter - just a note). at the price set for nigiri I would rather order Nom style sashimi, but this is just my super blunt sushi critique - please feel free to try yourself.! Ramen - Tonkatsu - Pork belly ramen.! finally a place in Pensacola w Ramen, good ramen too.! When tasting any soup, YOU MUST TASTE THE BROTH FIRST. When eating Pho, Bun Bo Hue, Chicken noodle, veggie, pea, matzo ball, any soup.! the broth is the foundation of soups especially in Asian cuisine. The broth in my bowl was in fact creamy rich pork broth. Though some ppls tastes may taste broth as plain or flavorless, a rich meaty or umami taste is hard to distinguish to many. This broth was filled w umami flavor. I do wish the broth had other flavors but I guess ramen is just ramen to me. The poached egg, shitake mushrooms, and menme were all there too.. but the thick, rich, crispy, chewy pork belly slices were the star.! Each bite had just the right amount of salt to meld w the broth flavor, just wish I had a whole plate more lol. Being the most popular item on menu, would def recommend trying. If you love pork flavor soups, you definitely must try Bun Bo Hue - super duper rich in flavors.! it's something your taste buds have never tasted before and will crave it on cold days.. Fish out of Seattle's market is by far the best I've ever experienced. all in all I would def recommend trying Nom of Pensacola, the atmosphere gave me the feel of NYC and I absolutely loved the art pieces behind the chefs gorgeous they were. I will be back to try more items and can't wait for when they have desserts on menu - there will working out some little things, home made fresh is what I am expecting.!

The atmosphere and service was very nice. The sushi and cost were not well aligned. The length of time (35 minutes) it took to make a few simple rolls was a little absurd.

Great new restaurant at the south end of Palafox. The noodles in the ramen are homemade and extremely delicious. The girlfriend is vegetarian and thus gets the vegan ramen. I resisted and tried both the chicken and pork versions first before finally acquiescing and admitting hers was the best. Though all are good, the tofu is some of the best tofu I have ever had and the soup is loaded with fresh veggies and mushrooms in a very good veggie broth. For appetizers, the steelhead tartare and the tuna tacos are very good. The fish was all very fresh and the presentation is very tidy. They have the standards for nigiri and the simple rolls. Their fancy rolls have some unique twists. I havent ventured two deeply into the rolls since the ramen is just too good to pass up. The restaurant is tiny with almost all of the seating small booths for two. Groups of more than two only have three tables to squeeze into in the back and one in the front - just a heads up if youre trying to bring a bunch of people with you. Cool vibe, great food and service - definitely recommended.

Don't visit downtown Pensacola without checking out this gem. The atmosphere is modern and chic, the ingredients are fresh and creative, the presentation will have you sharing pictures before you bite. Being at Nom makes you feel like you've left Pensacola to visit a major modern city. The food is great, the staff is friendly and the vibe is like nothing else in the area. Make Nom Sushi Izakaya your new spot. Trust me, you will love it! ;)

This is good sushi plated well. It's a bit hipster, but Pensacola badly needed an izakaya, so overall I'm glad this place is here. Do not order the takoyaki. It's just four hush puppies with tiny pieces of octopus that add no flavor to the corn. Tako yaki is not deep fried. It needs the proper sauce with mayo and bonito. Epic fail to that dish. The Ramen was ok, but the pork was very overdone. It should melt in my mouth. Portion size for the chicken karage was small, even by Japanese standards. Recommend this place change its menu and its portion size to reflect a genuine Japanese Izakaya. I still love the concept and I think think that they are on their way to doing it right.

Had the vegan ramen, couldn't finish it. I get that's it "smoked," but they could've just dropped a pound of ash into it for the same flavor. Not sure what they bread the tofu with, but it was all oil gel by the time it got to me. Btw it took over an hour to get the food. I would definitely skip if you're vegetarian.

we had the chicken shoyu, the crunch roll, and the smoked salmon roll. we would have liked to have had more however everything we ordered, we were told the kitchen ran out of. the service is incredibly slow and the smell of burning fish flesh ran through the restaurant every time they whipped up a "Pensacola bay nomster" ((which has crisp steelhead skin on it)) we ordered a bottle of saki with the hopes that we could enjoy our appetizer, then cruise through the main dish and top it off with some sushi. however everything came at once, except the pork gyoza, that was non existent, we found that out at the end of our meal. the concept of the restaurant is neat, however the delivery is an expensive bust. I don't think we are going to come back.

Pensacola is a small town with lots of sushi options- unfortunately they are not worth the money and mediocre at best. Thankfully we now have Nom Sushi Izakaya which is setting the bar for true Japanese cuisine in our town. Great selection of unique rolls that you won't find anywhere else in town, beautiful plating, amazingly fresh fish. The Izakaya is great too. Ramen is amazing. Great atmosphere and contemporary decor. Finally pensacola has a sushi joint worth writing home about.

Probably the worst sushi I have ever had. I've certainly had bad sushi before, at other places, but this place wins worst of the worst, hands down. The plating was laughable, one of the rolls (cut way too thick and unevenly, btw) were laid down sideways in a rudimentary flower shape, something you'd expect from a child trying to decorate a plate, and the rest were just laying sideways on the plate. The eel roll had the TINIEST sliver of eel I've ever seen, just a speck of avocado, and tons of white rice as filler-- and they were rolled so loosely, you couldn't pick them up. The tuna rolls were about two- to two-and-a-half inches thick, more or less since they were uneven, and the seaweed seams on the side were peeling up and unrolling themselves. The yellowtail sashimi, usually my favorite everywhere, was mushy and almost gelatinous, not the buttery, firm texture you'd get from fresh fish. I'm honestly amazed that nobody got sick. There were numerous other issues as well, with every plate on the table. Chicken was bland and terrible, no seasoning, no sauce, octopus balls are just hush puppies with a hint of octopus juice, etc. etc. etc. Wasabi was a sickly yellow, ginger was hard-- they couldn't even get what garnish they put out right! Save your money, people. They're charging normal-to-high sushi prices for the biggest lack of skill and effort I've ever encountered. And in a coastal town, too.... You'd expect a bit more quality and pride. What a shame. The only good thing I can say is that they probably won't be open long, and we'll hopefully see another restaurant in its' place soon!

It just didn't taste good to me... Sorry. Maybe being asian American I expect a lot from Japanese style restaurants, and this just pooped on my parade.

Oishii !

This is my favorite restaurant in Pensacola. The crunch roll is amazing. I wish I were there right now! Service is quick and friendly and you can't beat the location.

Had the steelhead tartare -- what a smart, bright dish. This is some of the best food in Pensacola and beyond. Excellent service and great atmosphere too.

This is the best sushi of my life! Ive had sushi in different states but nothing compares to here. Worth all the money. Ramen is good and so is the service! Love this place!

Ramen portion was a little small but still delicious! Tuna tacos were soooo good...especially the guacamole served with it that tasted like it had crab mixed in. The pork belly in the buns could have been crispier but still tasty. So glad to see a place like this in Pensacola! Would def recommend! :)

Trust me, you will love it! ;)

TRY IT.

The fish is fresh with firm flesh and great flavor. The knife cuts are impeccable. The rolls are well crafted. The ramen is absolutely outstanding. Every other Japanese restaurant should take notice. This is a fantastic addition to Pensacola.

  • Jacob L.

  • Carrie P.

we had the chicken shoyu, the crunch roll, and the smoked salmon roll. we would have liked to have had more however everything we ordered, we were told the kitchen ran out of. the service is incredibly slow and the smell of burning fish flesh ran through the restaurant every time they whipped up a "Pensacola bay nomster" ((which has crisp steelhead skin on it)) we ordered a bottle of saki with the hopes that we could enjoy our appetizer, then cruise through the main dish and top it off with some sushi. however everything came at once, except the pork gyoza, that was non existent, we found that out at the end of our meal. the concept of the restaurant is neat, however the delivery is an expensive bust.

  • Ned F.
