Southern cooking at your finger tips. Daily specials with great sides. Quaint atmosphere. Best fries in Florida in my opinion.

Good down home style southern cooking. My husband and I we're in town for a mini vacation on a budget and had a Groupon for this place. We went for lunch and were surprised at all the daily lunch specials and plate lunches. I had the ribs and he had chicken pot pie both were very good and portions plentiful. We would definitely go here again. Next time we'll have to save room for dessert. I think they have as many dessertsl choices as they do dinner - at least five or six kinds of pies cake and other stuff each...

Lots of food, but greasy. Fruit salad on the menu was canned fruit cocktail. I'm pretty sure the shrimp was frozen not fresh. Service is hit or miss. If you are lonesome for weeknight cooking from the 50s and 60s this is the place. Lots of dessert variety.

The only reason this place doesn't get a 5 star rating is because some of the sides are not made from scratch. Only a few though. There aren't many places to eat here unless you go a few blocks to the beach. But even if there were others, Crazy Horse is DEFINITELY worth revisiting. All of the entrees are made fresh and delicious!! Just know that the portions are LARGE and most all under 10.99. I had the Sam steak and it was delicious!

Finally stopped and had breakfast. The service was friendly and quick. My plate had enough grease on it to cook another meal. Soft scrambled eggs are not supposed to be hard and slightly browned. The bacon wasn't cooked enough for me. I like bacon crisp not the fat translucent. My neighbor says that this is best place in town. My friend had biscuits and gravy. Her's looked pretty good. I was disappointed and didn't even eat half. It was just to greasy and either not cooked or over cooked. She ate all of hers. Her's was great, she says. If I come back, I may try lunch. Who can mess up hamburger ?

Soft shell crab Po boy. Really good food but don't got for the atmosphere. Service was great (thanks Tonya) but the shrimp was frozen and not great. It's a 4 of 5 - no more no less..

This is your typical cafe. Nothing fancy just good food in a friendly, if not a little cramped, atmosphere. Been twice now and everyone's food has been good. Certainly give it a shot if you are on that side of town.

Excellent food! Service was so perfect. We were told in Walmart to go here and they were right! Pork chop was seasoned and cooked to perfection for my hubby. My chicken fried steak and gravy was delicious! We will be back to try their breakfast.

The wait staff blew us away, this is just little local diner, the food was real good but the employees were extra friendly. It was Easter, so each person received an Easter egg where they won free food/drinks/etc or candy! This to me was above beyond to make our experience special!

2nd time I've been and the food is not that great. Bland at most. Had the ribs and they were sooooo dry. My daughters peanut butter and jelly looked better than my food. How sad is that.

We purchased a groupon for this place and tried it on vacation as my wife and I are the type to favor local hole-in-the-walls over chains. We were severely disappointed. First, we were under the impression that the place was on the water, based on the map we viewed; it's not- our bad. Second, we went at lunch time and it wasn't very busy but we still had to wait nearly 10 minutes to be served. Third, and most importantly, the food was crap. Fourth, for the poor quality of food and service, it was hard to swallow a $31 bill for lunch.

My mother in law suggested the Crazy Horse. We went on a Friday evening, almost every table was filled. We seated ourselves and almost immediately the waitress was there to take our drink order and to give us some menus. The ladies ordered the signature tenderloin sandwich with fries and I ordered the chicken fried steak which came with green beans and a sweet potato. All in all the food was very good and the portion size was also very good and the waitress was fast and attentive. Would I go back definitely if I'm in that part of town again.

Still as good as it's always been , even after several ownership changes and menu tampering over the last few years , i finally made a return visit and it was great. Desserts are their specialty and you can't go wrong with ANY thing they offer .

Friday eve visit, seating available. Seat yourself casual. Wait staff excellent. Clean little shack. Seafood platter for me, caribbean talapia for son. I won.! Big time. Nice size tilapia fillet; 1/2 doz shrimp; 1/2 doz oysters; stuffed crab; fries and slaw. Wonderful batter. Fresh fryeroil, even during friday rush. Son says "stick with southern american menu". He also enjoyed mine.

My parents are adventuresome sorts, which I assume is how they found this way off the beaten path restaurant on a previous visit as snow birds to the Alabama coast. I always thought this restaurant was in Lillian, AL, but it's across the Perdido Bay Bridge in Florida. The drive across the bridge offers beautiful views just before you come to the restaurant. The dumpy cinder block building and gravel parking lot belie the good country cooking inside. Despite its surroundings and looks, the restaurant is neat and clean inside - a slight sting of bleach hit my nostrils upon entering. It's decorated with plastic tablecloths and cute curtains and exudes a diner atmosphere with a down home feel. In addition to the printed menu, lunch specials and sides are written on a white board on the wall. My chicken and dumplings arrived in a gi-normous bowl, the dumplings swimming in a broth/gravy that made it just this side of a soup. The generous portion was tasty and obviously homemade. The snowbird ordered the catch of the day which was also tasty and we both enjoyed our side items, which included various veggies and salads. Previous owners cut their reputation on spectacular homemade desserts and the current owners carry on that tradition. My Krispy Kreme bread pudding is a different, and delicious, take on an iconic coastal dessert. If you're in the area on the far western outskirts of Pensacola, stop in and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal.

I was very much looking forward to eating here after seeing the good reviews on Yelp. Unfortunately my experience was far from positive. The waitress was nice enough but more interested in her shift ending then providing good customer service. There was a huge selection of specials on the whiteboards and I opted for the biscuit and tomato gravy and a side of squash casserole, with an appetizer of fried ravioli. The ravioli came out quickly and while hot, was not memorable. The pasta was filled with flavorless ricotta, served with a side of canned tomato sauce, and covered with the aftermath of what appeared to be a Parmesan blizzard. I'm not really sure what tomato gravy is supposed to taste like, but the tinny metal can flavor laced with burnt tomatoes is not for me. One bite of the squash casserole was enough to turn me off forever. It was in a word disgusting. It might have had tuna, but it I can't be sure. Despite the previous two courses being disastrous, I still had hope for dessert. How could you possibly screw up bread pudding, we are in the south! Yet they managed. The top was burnt and the dish flavorless. It tasted NOTHING like Krispy Kreme. I agree that my selection of dishes was not exactly traditional, but I stand by my review for now.

The Blue Plate Special is alive and well!! For those of us "of a certain age" who grew up in the South - this is the first step down memory lane. Specials posted on the board, choice of sides, quick (sometimes) friendly (always). This is a gathering place for locals. The food is sometimes eclectic but there is no pretense here. Help us keep local lore alive and well - visit the Crazy Horse!!

Best bloody Mary's in town. Had the prime rib special, it was cooked at 10:00 am and sat in the oven for 3 hours to keep it warm, very dry, over cooked. WORST meal I ever had at Crazy Horse. Been eating there for years. The cook or chef needs to take pride in his work.

This place has good southern cooked food at prices I remember paying a good 20 years ago ! It was clean and had good help. We had dinner and breakfast, both were great.
