Okay, seriously... thank you to the two people that suggested this place. It was seriously good. It's a drive up window and you are very limited on what you can purchase... but it was all so good! We got general chicken, spicy beef and vegetables, and egg rolls. The general chicken was the best we've had in this area. The fried rice was awesome! So fresh tasting and not greasy at all. I'm really picky about fried rice. I loved this. The spicy beef and vegetables was good. It wasn't the best I've had, but I would have preferred it spicier. I love that it was more vegetables than meat. The egg rolls.... oh.... the egg rolls.... SO GOOD. I will buy at least 4 of them next time we go. Don't be turned off by the neighborhood or the fact that it's a drive up window joint. It's so good. And the employees are super nice. We got our food in 10 minutes or less. Totally worth the 30 minute drive to go here.

So, let me prephrase this whole review and say, "I don't expect much from hood Chinese spots!" Not to say this area is hood, but...well...it's not Beverly Hills by any stretch. Anywhoo, point is I only stopped at this place because nothing seems to be open late in Pensacola, it was on my way to my hotel, and the previous Yelp reviews led me wrong. Terribly. This place has substandard Chinese food. The egg drop soup was bland, the sweet & sour chicken was dry, and the egg rolls tasted like they came out a box. Only thing this place has going for themselves is it's cheap and they aren't stingy with the portions or condiments. Other than that, meh.

This is terrible. Portion sizes were good, but what good is that if they don't taste good. Sweet and Sour was dry and hardly had any sweet and sour sauce on them. La Romain noodles are spaghetti. Seriously China Wok? There is a difference in taste of the two noodle types. Never again. The food for the most part was tasteless....

Best Chinese on the go in the metro. Well prepared, very affordable and friendly. You may want to call ahead to order, as it.gets busy during lunch and dinner hours. (As I write this, I'm waiting in a anxious line)

made to order is the best.! delicious food hot and ready for you. what I like about China Wok is that it does not carry/cook the franchised normal vegetables/meats like very other Chinese take out. No Asian person goes out to buy fried rice bc we already know how to prepare it. what I usually order is the chicken wings (larger than Buffalo Wild Wings) lemon pepper or teriyaki or hot, chicken teriyaki and hot n spicy beef.. sometimes I get a side of French fries lol. enjoy.!

Good portions. Bad area. Drive through and get out before your mugged. Avg fried rice.

I did the drive thru chinese place for lunch the other day since I was passing by. Small chinese take-i-outie places usually have the BEST fried rice...USUALLY....China Wok is the exception. I ordered the house fried rice. While it was ready in a timely manner, for $8 it was 99% rice....and BLAND...I taking BLAND. Didn't even taste like it was prepared in a wok...not worth the price or the time.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
