Looking forward to sitting down in a restaurant for a breakfast on our last morning in Orlando, we decided to stop at the Waffle House. After all, we had been passing this place all week long and I had never been to one in CA. Typical weekday business people eating here when we walk in. Smells like breakfast and real coffee. I'm there! They bring us the menus and already I am confused. Oh, they don't sell any pancakes here I see. No wonder it's called waffle house. I keep looking at the menu trying to find a combination that suits me. I just want a waffle and some bacon or something..... I finally settle on a dish that comes with a side of grits. Oh yeah, I love grits! I lived in the south for awhile and this again is something that you don't see on the menus in California. So, I'm excited about this! Our breakfast comes and we start eating. Waffle is a bit dry and so I add more butter and syrup. Dump all that butter into my grits too. Now, I keep tasting something funny....hmmmmm........I check out the container the "butter" came in. Well, no wonder! It's not butter at all but some hydrogenated concoction - I don't even know what it was. Yuck! I get up to take a potty break and this is seriously the only place I'm impressed. All of the public restrooms in FL have handicapped stalls that contain their own sinks even! And they are clean. This one is no exception. I return to my food, but it just doesn't do it for me. Finish my coffee and we're off to the airport. Oh well. I tried for a "real" breakfast but was very disappointed here. No need to whine about not having the Waffle House in California. I can certainly live well without this place!

We loved this Waffle House!! How pathetic is this - we were on vacation in Orlando and ended up eating four breakfasts and three dinners here! We stayed next door at the Radisson and Waffle House is SO convenient. The Mrs. loved the cheesy eggs! I loved the hashbrowns with everything!! Too bad they didn't love me so much. They also make pretty good salads. The best thing about Waffle House...the price!! Especially after dropping so much money at WDW, I needed a deal.

There's nothing too fancy-schmancy or special in particular about Waffle House in general, though it works well if you have a late-night hankering for a good old-fashioned diner style breakfast or if you're road tripping and need to stop for a bite. My first (and only) visit thus far came at the suggestion of a good friend of mine who is originally from VA (where there are Waffle Houses galore) who suggested I try it, since I had passed by various Waffle Houses during bus trips to Orlando in high school but never ate at one. We stopped in one evening for me and another friend of ours to pop our respective Waffle House cherries, since none exist in the Philly area. I settled on a strawberry waffle with a side of covered and capped hashbrowns (in other words, hashbrowns with cheese and mushrooms...look at their menu and you'll see what I mean). The waffle was nothing special, but the hashbrowns really hit the spot. I'm definitely willing to return and try some of the other options on the menu; possibly the cheese 'n eggs with raisin toast.

The worst Waffle House we have ever been to! The cook was outside smoking with his food prep gloves on. The server was awful! She couldnt handle her 3 table section, she never came back to check on us, no drink refills. We couldn't understand what she was saying, then blamed the cooks for not listening to her when she called our order out when we only got the partial order. She charged $1.65 for ice water!!! The food tasted horrible.. Time to call the health department !

This was really disappointing as far was Waffle House Restaurants go. The waffle was limp and the bacon was cold. The location has a built-in clientele because it's so close to Disney World, but I felt like it was living on the Waffle House reputation rather than its own quality.

Outside of the establishment moving into the building next door (The Cleaners) it was a great meal. The staff was pleasant, prompt and organized. The price was cost effective and great deal. The place is not big at all and could use more seating, but still not a long wait.

STAY AWAY. STAY FAR AWAY Hey Waffle House? Why not try it? BIG BIG MISTAKE. I ordered eggs medium, ham, and hash browns. My wife ordered egged medium, bacon, and hash browns. Pretty simple right? Guess again. My order showed up within 2 minutes. My wife 5 minutes later. My eggs were barely cooked and cold as was the ham. Hash browns were hot. My wife's food was OK. I refused to eat any of mine and sent it back. We overheard other guests complain about the food and waitresses, so there seems to be a pattern. I will say that after sending mine back the waitress discounted the bill. Thus the one star. We will NEVER return to Waffle House and my suggestion is you should avoid it. Hopefully they'll go out of business and maybe a decent or even half way decent restaurant will replace it

Went here TWICE while staying at a hotel nearby. Waffles, pork chops, grits, biscuits & gravy, bacon strips, hash browns, and fresh squeezed orange juice hit the spot here!! Everything was so good. Had to wait 10-15 minutes each time for a table but definitely worth it. Service was good once we were seated. Really good place for breakfast compared to the other places nearby.

I really enjoyed the food here and the ice tea was really good. Being from California, where we don't have Waffle House, it was something a bit unique. I will be sure to come here again when I'm next in Florida.

Great food.. But slower than usual service for a waffle house. Great attitudes though.. dirty stinky restrooms! Hate it when management neglects to invest in those standard things like ventilation, deodorizer, new hinges, locks etc. Could have been a four star with just a little attention to detail.

The waffles were absolutely delicious - crisp on the outside & super fluffy on the inside. The staff were absolutely amazing and kind. Although it was just a diner, the staff definitely made the experience worthwhile. I can't wait until my next visit. :)

This is a great cheap place to have a meal, near Disney. The servers were wonderful, the food is really delicious. I loved the extra bacon blt with the hash browns. You can tell the cook actually cares about what he's making! The place definitely has an old, small town feel.

I tried this place for the first time. I was impressed. For a chain restaurant, The Waffle House was a great experience. I had the ham & cheese omelet which was fabulous. I stayed in Orlando for 3 days. I went here every day for breakfast. The pancakes and waffles were great. I tried grits for the first time, they were good but not my favorite. The staff was friendly and conversational. The kitchen staff is there cooking in front of you and they have a great system going for the volume of people they serve. A true gem of the south.
