Just about as authentic as it gets. This place is literally a hole in the wall being the width of a large hallway squeezed between two other business on the Viet strip of Colonial. To date, this is the only place I've had ox tail pho. While it's common to use ox tail to create the broth, this place will actually include a few pieces with your pho for a price -- about a dollar more than a bowl of dac biet. Sadly, the two pieces I received were meager and lacking the tender meat surrounding the bone leaving only gristly tendon which should have been cooked a little longer. It wasn't worth the extra money but I think I'd order it again in the hopes the ox tail is better next time. Too bad I live in Chicago and can only come here once every year or two when I visit family. This will be my go-to spot for pho in Orlando from now on.

Don't judge a book by its cover - This tiny restaurant has served as home to quite a few different restaurants over the year - I think due to its small space, but this iteration is a winner. It is tiny, just maybe 8 tables, seat maybe 40 in the whole building. Tucked between a nail supply shop and a Vietnamese owned wedding cake shop, just a few doors down from Saigon Market and Tasty Wok, I love Vietnam Cuisine for their banh cuon, velvety smooth rice crepes stuffed with woodeared mushroom and ground pork, pork sausage, Vietnamese sweet fish sauce. pour it over. Known for their take on northern Vietnamese dishes - other than Lac Viet, most other Vietnamese restaurants in town specialize in the southern cuisine of Vietnam. The cha ca thanh long is a popular dish, a type of fish patty with tilapia spiced in turmeric and herb (what herb) =, I think it is a play on a fish becoming a dragon. Also, bun cha ha noi, a rice vermicelli dish with pork meat balls and sweet fish sauce for dipping. It's like tsukeman Vietnamese noodles - Vietnamese rice spaghetti and pork meatballs ? Also, great pho here with lots of meat cuts and ox tail. Generous portions. On the way out, I get a few banh bao, a type of stuffed pastry stuffed with pork meat, hard boiled egg, Chinese sausage. It's known as a poor man's meal and popular street food - you can get full off of just one bao. It was popular in Hong Kong years ago, but I guess owners got smart and cut back on it so their customers wouldn't get full off of just one pork bun.

This place is awesome. Its small, quiet, no TV, and the food is excellent. The Pho has the best tasting broth I ever had. Banh mi sandwich I great. The prices are great fed three for less than $40 including tip. South side of Colonial Dr. A couple doors down from Saigon Market.

I was happy to find good pho while visiting Orlando. This was our first stop once we arrived on a humid and rainy day. It was a little hard to find parking. We got lucky and there was parking alongside the street but I think there's parking in the back, too. Here's the food breakdown. Spring Roll (Fresh): Cute and small. The perfect size that doesn't get you too full before you eat the rest of your meal. Pho: Pleasantly surprised. The broth was flavorful. I just wish the meat were cut into smaller pieces. Banh cuon: Lots of meat! Yum!

Great food, small restaurant!! Will go back and try more different Vietnamese dish. Limited parking!!

We stopped by to have a quick lunch. Had my regular taste of the spring roll and a bowl of pho, while my fiancée had a Bun Bo Hue. I was disappointed in the taste of my two choices, but my fiancée liked hers very much. Thanks for the quick fix!

Fresh, authentic and cheap food served in a casual and friendly setting. Nice and friendly staff, quick service. We very much enjoyed noodle salad, very flavorful traditional soup and Vietnamese rolls.

Loved how quaint the restaurant was, it's a real hole in the wall but the food was amazing. I ordered one of the sandwiches and with a touch of hot sauce it was amazing.

Ordered the rice dish number 15 with grilled pork, fried egg, and egg patty. It was decent flavoring on the pork and really can't complain. The place is small but it wasn't busy when we came around dinner time 7pm. Overall decent place for a meal.

Banh mi is really good. Food and service is excellent. The restaurant is small, so space can be an issue. One of our go to places in Colonial area.

This is a very small place that is easy to miss. I lived around the corner from it for 2 years and never noticed it. They have a small menu as well. The Pho was very good and the service was very good.

One of my all time favorite hole-in-the-wall restaurant. I have been going here many many times a month for a few years and it's never disappointed me. The staff are friendly and make you feel like family. I've tried about half the menu and I can tell you how pleased I am that they don't use MSG in their food. I usually get lethargic or have an allergic reaction at other Vietnamese restaurants but this place I know I leave feeling good that I don't need to pop a benadryl. As far as dishes goes, I love their Bun Bo Heo which is a traditional spicy lemongrass beef stew with rice noodles that is meant to be al dente. It's one of the best in town. The flavor dances in your mouth and I usually load it down with all the vegetables that adds to the heartiness of the soup. My second favorite dish is a duck soup special they have called Bun Mang Vit. They make it a couple of times a month but it is a comforting clear broth. Another favorite is the Goi Cuon (Summer Rolls) appetizer and the Banh Cuon (thinly rolled rice crepe with pork and wood ear mushrooms). These are consistently good. Although, you can't go wrong with any of the appetizer choices! If you want good, traditional Vietnamese cuisine, then this is it. It's a smaller space and there's usually a wait, but it's worth it for the price and taste. Service is quick and it's great to stop in on a cold day or evening. I highly recommend it!

I always go to Vietnam Cuisine for Bun Bo Hue every time I visit Orlando or Daytona. It's the best in town.

  • Darlene T.

Favorite spot in Orlando to get Bun Bo Hue! Love this place. They also have Banh Cuon...which is hard to find. The restaurant is small, so don't expect to find a table without a wait. But the dishes more than make up for the wait time

They say they open at 10. They are not. Then they look at you like you are weird for looking at them. Seriously don't know how vietnamese people do business!

Love the food here. Best bun bo hue in Orlando. Extremely authentic with the mom and pop style cooking. I'm always here when I need comfort Vietnamese food. It's a small place but I love it.

  • Vy H.

Love their nuoc mam (fish sauce). It goes well with all the food they have. Me and my boyfriend came here almost everyday during the time we visited disneyworld. I tried their eggrolls, bun bo hue, and rice. Everything is amazing. Gotta try this place when you visit Orlando.

I've been looking for a place that served Northern style grilled pork with rice noodles (Bun Cha Hanoi) for awhile now without much luck. Thanks to a tip from the Vietnamese ladies at Family Hair Service, we went here to check it out. The dish does not disappoint and tastes just like my mom's grilled pork! The rest of the food here is delicious and definitely hits the spot. They also specialize in the increasingly popular fish with turmeric and dill (Cha Ca Va Long) which my wife loves as well as the rice noodle beef soup with oxtail (Pho Duoi Bo). Both of these were very tasty as well. Service is a bit lacking as there's one server and the owner helps to clean the tables...so if you're looking for first class wait staff, you will need to search elsewhere. This is a tiny hole in the wall with limited parking, but the food is crave-worthy. We definitely will be back for their authentic menu items.

  • Robyn Y.

Extremely fresh, amazing taste, clean kitchen. We like to get the veggie spring rolls (the peanut sauce is bomb) and the chicken and mushroom appetizer. My husband usually gets the vermicelli and loves it. They do have good milk tea and offer it iced with/ without boba or blended with/ without boba. We feel this place has the most fresh ingredients of all the Vietnamese places we have tried in little Saigon!

  • Sam C.

It kind of tells you something about the authenticity when you are the only one in a crowded (standing room only) Vietnamese restaurant not speaking in Vietnamese! The food here is very good, and they will provide you with a no-oil added, low fat vegan version of several of the dishes, including their fine pho.

Super authentic and delicious. Love this place. The portions are huge and every thing is cooked perfectly. A must go in my opinion.

This place has amazing chargrilled pork spring rolls, egg rolls, and pho. It's small and homey, and just the perfect place when you're craving your Asian mother-in-law's cooking. I would not come here starving. Everything is made to order, so it takes a while, but it's totally worth it.

  • Nina T.

Very authentic. We've tried many Vietnamese restaurants in Orlando. This one is a keeper. We had the bun bo Hue, bun cha Ha Noi, bun thit nuong, & banh uot. All were excellent. The restaurant is very small. If you have a party larger than 4 you may want to call in advance. Restaurant is clean & cool AC. Service was excellent.

  • Ace K.

Their banh mi dac biet is pretty good. I still miss the banh mi sold in NYC but this one will hold me over until I head back north. They have friendly service. There are a few tables only so if coming here during rush hour I can see the place being too small. The parking is off street which is not bad since the parking is free but is allowed for 1 hour only so make sure to read the street parking signs.

This was the first time I've ever had Vietnamese food and it was amazing. The restaurant is the definition of "hole in the wall" location wise but a diamond in the rough. The value is amazing. The service was great and the atmosphere is adorable. This is a place I will so be coming to again! I can't get over how great this was

  • Sofia B.

The pho was unphogettable. Loved it and the spring rolls were incredible. Also if you're into boba get it there. Really a cute place and all the Vietnamese/Asian markets around it were fun. Took me back to Asia.

I really like this shoe-box sized restaurant. The bun bo hue (with tons of various meaty bits bobbing about) is my favorite in town and the banh cuon are not to be missed (although they are not made on Thursdays...plan accordingly). If you go for the pho, i'd say that's the one kind of disappointing item I've tried here...it's not bad but its not really better than any of the other pho bowls you can get around here either. The service (we've only ever been served by the same young lady) is very attentive and friendly, so that's cool. One more thing - they have a tiny banh mi section on the menu and the grilled pork banh mi is of a similar standard to banh mi nha trang's, so it's definitely worth ordering a bunch of these magnificent sandwiches.

OMG - this place is really good, especially from a California critic such as myself who has a bunch of Vietnamese restaurants at my disposal. My family and I were on vacation in Orlando. My Asian parents were craving Vietnamese food so we heading towards downtown looking for a good restaurant. We stumble upon this tiny restaurant that could hardly fit my family of 14 people but the owner made room for us. We were skeptical but ventured to try some of the dishes from their new menu. Get the beef salad, eggrolls, salted prawns and bun bo hue. The dishes were so good we ordered the beef salad, spring rolls and salted prawns as takeout for our late night snack in hotel. We would totally come back if we lived in Orlando. This is a great restaurant and I would recommend this to all my friends and family who will visit Orlando.

The owner was so nice to even let us come in before opening time. The food is fantastic and cheap! It might be a small little place, but it can get quite busy. I like their special banh mi, com, bun, etc. just a lot of choose form. I really recommand

This isn't a review of Vietnamese cuisine; it's a review of Vietnam Cuisine in the Mills/50 district. It's a small restaurant with a fairly small menu, compared with other Viet restaurants. I dined early for lunch today, but by the time I left, it was nearly packed, with almost all Vietnamese people. The menu offers nothing for vegetarians, save for one banh mi made with fried eggs. But, they are happy to accommodate vegetarians. I had a recommended bowl of noodles, tofu and vegetables, with a peanut sauce on the side. I didn't know how the peanut sauce might work, but it worked out tastily. I also had to try the Fried Egg Bahn Mi (Bahn Mi Op La, $3.00). The bread was smoking hot and fresh, the fried eggs were messy but delicious, and the cucumbers, carrots, onions and homemade butter made this bahn mi a winner. I thought there might be another name for this little spot, but it's simply Vietnam Cuisine and simply good. Wonderful service.

The subs here do not compare to next door at bánh mì Nha trang. However the pho here was better than pho vinh and toek5 (see reviews). Regardless of the language gap, the server seemed very disinterested in our table.

Cute little place for lunch or dinner! Lunch can get a bit hectic so plan for a leisurely meal. Clientele is usually Vietnamese, so a lot can be said for that. My sister and I often get com ga nuong (grilled chicken with rice) and my mom likes the bun cha ca Thanh Long (dill fish noodles) and bun bo Hue (spicy beef noodles). Great service, too!

I have tried just about every Vietnamese restaurant in Orlando and this is hands-down the most consistently delicious. It's small and pretty simple, but what it might lack in size and decor is made up in the quality and taste of their food. Highly recommend this fantastic little place.

Used a Groupon for this place and I'm glad I found it! The staff is super friendly and was very helpful with my vegetarian/gluten-free diet requirements. My hubby (an omnivore) really enjoyed his large bowl of pho (except that there were bits of yellow fat in it that he scooped out). I had the summer rolls with tofu and a bowl of rice noodles, steamed veggies, and more tofu (no sauce since they all have gluten in them). The waiter saw how sad my bland bowl was and offered me some chopped peanuts, which helped. It's a little hard to figure out how to get into this place, but once you do, you'll find a cozy little spot for a meal. My husband's only disappointment was that they don't have the longan ice drink (which he gets everytime we go for Viet)... but was happy with their thai iced tea. Even without a Groupon, we will be back.

This place is tiny but cozy. Don't expect too much service from here. Food takes a long time to prepare so don't come here if you are very hungry. Taste is ok. I had better from other restaurants.

It was simple and good. We had 4 dishes and everything was balanced. Even my kids liked it. My wife and I both had beef soups and they were fantastic. A very solid place and we were completely surprised.

The Pho Dac Viet here is spectacular and flavorful. I suggest this location to my friends and family from other ones on colonial drive. The Banh Cuon is a must try at this location. Vietnamese cuisine makes one of the best of this delish appetizer - very authentic, and reminds me of my travels to Hanoi, Vietnam and halong bay. Location is a little cramped but still cozy. It's on the same plaza as the renowned tasty wok and chewy boba tea. Suggestion on take out orders - two thumbs up. Price is reasonable as well.

This is one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Orlando. The food here is delicious and authentic! When I have people in town I always try to take them here. You have to get the Banh Cuon (possibly the best in town), Bun Bo Hue, Goi Cuon and Pho. Thank me later and whatever you order here it will be YUMMY! ;)

In my epic quest to try every Asian place near Mills/50 this place stands out. By stands out, I only mean on my palate, because it's even more nondescript than a lot of the other nondescript places along Mills. The food though, mmm. It doesn't at all taste like restaurant food. It tastes like someone's Vietnamese grandmother (or, in this case, grandfather) cooked it in their home kitchen. The chicken was just a touch blackened, like it would be if you grilled at home. Sauces were spiced without being spicy (which is good for our 2-year old). And honestly, everything was done PERFECTLY. Absolutely my favorite so far. And pretty cheap, too!

This place has amazing food, and our waitress was very nice. She was really good about my food allergies which is awesome when you're both gluten free and with a peanut allergy.

I actually found a groupon for this place and it actually worked out really well for me. The food here was fresh, felt like I was eating my mom's homemade food! And my mom is a great cook especially when it comes to Vietnamese food. I've tried numerous vietnamese restaurants in Orlando, and by far, I have to say Vietnam Cuisine is one of my favorite. I had Bung thit nuong and it was absolutely delicious (I also posted a photo of it), which are noodles serve in a bowl with egg rolls, grilled beef, along with some fresh herbs. And also fish sauce on the side so you can serve according to your preference. Also had jack fruit drink which was absolutely scrumptious.

I came here to explore the foods and the Vietnamese people in town. This cute restaurant is on the main street of Vietnamese town. The owner/server/chef are Bac Ky - they are very polite and make you feel that you are in Ha Noi. The owner admitted that she is from Hai Phong but her accent to me is almost close to nguoi Hanoi. I ordered Cha Ca Thang Long, Bun Bo Hue, and Banh cuon plus a few Corona to cool things off in the evening. Cha Ca Thang Long (Vietnamese Hanoi-Style Turmeric Fish with Dill) has two cut of fish at this restaurant. One is the fish fillet which I believe is the tilapia and the other cut was like ground/paste fish with dill. The combination served well with dill, sweet onion, and peanut. I shared a few thoughts with the owner and compliment the flavor. Bun Bo Hue is also excellent... and spicy as well. You can't finish the bowl... Banh cuon is good as well. Will I come back? yes... Great place to sample the true authentic Vietnamese food in this Disney town. Until next time.. see you.

We were spoiled by the excellent Vietnamese restaurants in New Orleans East and were thrilled to find a plethora of them here in Orlando. This is our favorite. Excellent: Pho, Bun Thit Nuong and Lotus Salad

I really love this place. The pho is great and they have really good banh mi. The banh mi bread is not as crispy as other options in the area and I appreciate that. The service is always great. There are so many Vietnamese restaurants in the area and this one stands out because the food is consistently good and they really take care of you. I enthusiastically recommend it.
