Got into town late, and Tijuana Flats was one of the only places still open. I'm not sure why, you'd think in the college section of the town that 8 o'clock would be the start of fun times. I've been to TF in other parts of Florida, and this one is one of the best. The sauce bar had a broad selection of hot sauces from "nice to meet you" all the way up to "I'm here to bring you pain!" The food was totally on-point and delicious, and the service was amazing. The manager and other folks stopped by often to check and see how we were doing and to get us refills. The guac was great, a real departure from a lot of other Mexican places that require a bunch of salt to even taste like anything. Very clean restaurant, with a great staff and great atmosphere. If I have to come back to Orlando, this will be on my list of stops. Thanks, Tijuana Flats!

I just love TF. It's one of a few things I miss about Florida. Now that there are quite a few of them, I def have my fav spots. This is one of them. If you visit during the off hours, there's usually not a line. I tend to do pick-up orders when I'm in town. And the food is always ready the minute I walk in. And even if I order at the counter, the food is ready really fast. The location is clean, the staff is friendly, the ice is crushed, and the food is fantastic. And there's a hot bar! What else do you need? No. Really, what else? Yeah, that's what I thought. You'll love it!

Good service and good food :) Because this one is near UCF is has the BEST sauces available at the hot sauce bar. I have been to some that don't carry the best variety. Of course this one has my two favorite available all the time.... Jason's mom and Rasta sauce. OMG. SO GOOD. I got my husband HOOKED on the Rasta sauce. Also, I know this isn't always a big deal to a lot of people but can we just give it up for the crushed ice your drinks come in?! It's the little things, people. And the ice makes this place. Of course the food is lovely too and I love the specials during the days of the week... especially on Thursdays!! Yay saving money and yummy food :)

I liked the variety of salsa, the prices, and the casual atmosphere. It was a nice dinner out and I'll be back.

Tijuana Flats is the ideal lunch place. The line is usually pretty fast and sometime none at all and the food also comes out before your lunch hour ends. All sounds good to me except the food sucks. I ordered Dos Tacos (chicken) and it sucked. The highlight of the meal was the chips it came because it was still a fresh batch and the hot sauce bar. The chicken in the tacos had no flavor and seemed like they just boiled the chicken. It totally lacked seasoning! At least other places they have grilled it or done something. Marinades people! Even though the staff is wonderful and the restaurant is clean, I won't be coming back for a long time. Not evening for Taco Tuesday, which btw is not that even that good of a deal! People, you're basically only getting a drink for an extra .50 compare to a regular Dos Taco! Just go home and make your self a taco, at least it'll taste better. I hope.

Free Veterans' Day lunch. A delicious blackened chicken salad with citrus dressing and some Smack my Ass hot sauce to give it a kick. Damn this place is busy. Should be expected on Taco Tuesdaze near the campus. The service is great here.

So, I used to go to this place every Tuesday. We stopped going, and this was my first time back in over 6 months. I got the taco Tuesday special (2 tacos, chips, and a drink for $4.99). I made mine pink for an extra dollar in honor of Breast Cancer awareness month, and ordered a side of guacamole. I recommend you pass on the guacamole. Honestly, I find better guacamole at Friendly Confines in Waterford Lakes. Tacos were as expected, one had a lot of beef, the other had more cheese. It's usually hit or miss. Customer service is always excellent, though.

I don't know what the deal is with this Tijuana Flats but they just can not seem to get it together!! I'd say about 90% of the time (and I'm not exaggerating) they mess up my order. Lately the wheat soft tacos have been very stale too. Not a fan of this location!

My favorite Tijuana Flats restaurant! This place is a fairly new location and it is so nice. Very large inside with lots of seating and very clean. The hot sauce bar has a huge selection. The service was great and my burrito was excellent!

I love the chain Tijuana Flats. Every meal taste of fresh ingredients and the hot sauce bar is amazing! My favorite is the Chicken tacos and the new Fish street tacos! Customer service is always top notch at every location, including this new one near UCF. They will never let you run out of drinks and refills are free for soda and tea. The only complaint I have is this plaza offers little to no parking!!!!

Was served by the manager, seemed annoyed- said the wait would be less than ten minutes, was more like 25. The food was absolutely not worth the wait- I got home and found one of the managers short black hairs in my food (I'm blonde so I know it wasn't mine), totally unhygienic and frankly GROSS. Avoid this location.

Today was my first time at Tijuana Flats. I order the fish taco it tasted pretty good but I was a little disappointed because it hardly had fish and they weren't even generous with the cabbage. The cabbage was chopped instead of finely shredded. I also order 1 chicken quesadilla and 1 steak quesadilla; in most restaurants they typically the give you a side of sour cream and salsa to dunk your quesadillas but either the forgot or put it inside it. I also though the food was over price. For the fish taco, the quesadillas, and two soft drinks was $28.06... After eating my two tacos I was still hungry :( Definitively not worth my money. I don't see myself going back any time soon. I think I make better quesadillas and fish tacos than Tijuana Flats.

Cant go wrong with the Norrito Bowl especially with their sweet chili sauce. Make sure you dont head there between 1130-1230 as it will be packed if youre looking for a place to sit (remember we in UCF territory). The service was very friendly and quick to make sure youre taken care of. Love coming here.

I should preface this review by saying I'm borderline obsessed with Tijuana Flats. I've never had anything bad at any location and this one is relatively new but dangerously close to my house. Customer Service is fabulous.. I've had a few "incidents" mostly when they first opened this location. On the first incident, my friend's meal was taking much longer to come out than mine, but it was still within the range of acceptability. Regardless, the manager came over and said that her meal had been dropped, a new one was on the way, and he presented her with a giftcard for the equivalent of the meal. On another occasion, I got home to see that the 2 orders of flautas we picked up were missing the queso, sour cream, and guac which is really the whole purpose of the flautas (try them, you will not regret it!!!). Anyway, I went back to the store and the manager happily refunded one of our orders. My point here is mistakes happen everywhere, and how you deal with them makes a world of difference to the customer. The food is fast, fresh, and delicious and the service is fabulous. What more could you want?

I came here on a Tuesday for taco Tuesday and it was packed. It was almost impossible to find a parking spot. we had to park behind the restaurant--Luckily they have an entrance to the restaurant from the back. Once I got inside I was questioning my decision to take part in taco Tuesday. There were people all over the place and it was pretty dark inside. The line to order was almost at the front door. For $5.49 you can get two tacos, chips and a drink. Not a bad deal but not an amazing one either. I ordered beef tacos and guacamole with my chips. My order was ready pretty quickly to my surprise even though the place was packed. I was also able to snatch a table while my fiancé waited for our tacos to come out. The tacos themselves were nothing special, they were good. The beef was tasty and the ingredients in the taco tasted fresh. The guacamole was really good, it was creamy and had a freshly made taste to it. Where this place really shines is the hot sauce bar! I had to try pretty much each one. My favorites were don't be a chicken shit and smack my ass and call me Sally--the second slapping. Overall, this is a good place to come to with friends or if you want to see what all the hype about taco Tuesday is about. I don't think I can see myself coming back here soon simply because it was a little too packed for my liking. The tacos and the hot sauces we're pretty good and the service was quick! I'd recommend this place to someone who hasn't tried it before!

I've been to so many Taco Tuesdaze that perhaps the novelty has worn off on me. My visit to this location is the first time I've been to a Tijuana Flats in several years, and things are exactly the same. Which is to say good, but not great. Wait times can be a little long on Tuesdays, but once you get to the register, service is friendly and efficient. Seating is always a challenge during busy lunch hours, so good luck on that front. The food is good, as expected, and the hot sauce bar offers up about two dozen options. The servers were quick to clear off the tables and get sodas refilled. Overall: Good food, good prices, long waits

I think I've officially been to all the Tijuana Flats locations in Orlando and I've had great experiences each and everytime. For one, this is by far my favorite place to get lunch/ dinner in Orlando. The food is also very good and filling. The staff is also very nice and helpful, which is a plus. The hot sauce bar is amazing!!! I love to try the different sauces, I even get the hottest although I know I cannot always tolerate the heat. This location is the closet to UCF, so the decor is filled with UCF school spirit, hence from the pictures.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
