This was a really fun little outing. We did a wine and chocolate tasting and it was nicely done. This place is great for grabbing something to eat or for a nice air conditioned activity if you were outside all day. I really liked several of their wines and I thought the chocolate was great. We also got a chocolate volcano cake from their display case and it was amazing! Next time we come we're definitely going to get a cheese plate and a bottle of wine :-) I also want to try more of their individual chocolates and truffles. The chocolates are a bit pricey, but very good. Part of the price is for the experience, so I think it's fair. There's also a tour and a little chocolate museum that looked sort of cute. We didn't do that but it looked sort of fun. Overall, this is a fun place and I will probably go back.

The World of Chocolate is actually an attraction with store front selling chocolate. The chocolate products are amazing. I learn a lot from the tour. The tour is about 1 hour with the history of the chocolate and where they grow. I also learn the chocolate grow within the latitude of 23 degree north and south. This is very exclusive area that can grow cocoa bean. The top country produce and make chocolate is from the Swiss. The tour explains a lot of thing to a non chocolate person like me. During the tour we have try the cocoa with hot chili when the local original make the drink. I have two shot since not many like spicy drink in chocolate bean. The beans then pass through the Europe and perfect into sweet chocolate. During the tour we also try the second most expensive chocolate bar - the porcelana. The tour is expensive if you paid full price. We have groupon and the cost is $10 per person plus tax. If it is full price, I may not have got into this attraction. It does have some value and interesting fact to visit.

Not as large a selection of chocolate as one would expect from a place called "World of Chocolate." However, the museum tour was super interesting, our guide was friendly, amazing, enthusiastic and what chocolate they do have is fantastic. If you are a fan of dark chocolate try the Le Noir truffles in the front of the shop. Also a great place for a date night - Cheese boards with some port or normal wine go down a treat.

First time here...and my wife is in heaven! Baked pastries, macaroons, chocolates and even a cold/lite app selection. Gourmet coffees, beer and bottled beverages also. If you're a fan of high end chocolate confections - this is your spot! We didn't take the tour; as our airport trip is too soon for that kind of involvement. Place has a laid back environment, reminiscent of a Starbucks's. Seems that they have daily specials: today is buy 8 chocolates and get 1 free, or get a canned beer and truffle for $5. However, don't be fooled - the place can get expensive quickly.

A fun place to visit at Orlando after being fed up with all these super crowded theme parks and outlet malls. Come to this museum to learn about the dark, handsome dessert, relax, and smell the chocolate!

Who even knew this place existed? Tucked into a strip mall you'd drive right by it if not for the sign. The inside is a glorious haven filled with all things chocolate. I throughly enjoyed the tour, it was informative and tasty as we were provided little tastes and samples throughout. The cases of chocolates and pastries was the icing on the cake (pun intended). Both desserts were delightful. I'd definitely return to take more people in for the tour and a treat!

We took my parents here while on vacation and found a deal for a $9 tour on TravelZoo. Our tour guide, Chris, was great. He made the tour interesting and was super friendly and knowledgeable. He answered everyone's questions and the one or two questions he was unsure about, he found out the answer for us. Our tour was all adults, so we got to go a little deeper into discussions about the decline in American chocolate v. other countries and it was very interesting. The chocolate sculptures were awesome - Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Easter Island statues, etc. You are allowed to take photos of all, just no flash photography. The samples were delicious and it was nice to try several pieces of chocolate from different countries. We also got to try a sample of the hot chocolate and I would have purchased a cup of it if we weren't all "chocolated out" by the end of the tour! While I'm not sure I would be willing to pay the $16.95 for a regular priced ticket, I felt that the deal we got was a fair price and it was a fun, unique and informative tour and a great museum!

After lunch I came here and enjoyed tirimisu that melted in my mouth and macaroons that were so delicately light. I've not tried the Chocolate as I wanted to savor it with a glass of wine from my collection. Unfortunately, we did not do the wine tour as the Chocolate truffles aren't made in this facility but are shipped overnight from all over the country. However, the tirimisu cake was made by one of the chef while the macaroons were made by another. I can't believe people would come in here to check it out without buying anything. This is no ordinary Russell Stovers chocolate, these are decadent, rich and not extremely sweet, just the perfect chocolate in one bite.

When we first pulled up to the Museum, I was a little surprised at the size of the location... I guess connotations of "museums" of the past have misled me to think what the size of museum should be. Nonetheless, we walked in and saw a display of various chocolates and desserts followed by a nice cafe area. The museum tours were at the top of every hour and I think through the success of their groupon sales, they have a fairly consistent crowd of people on each tour... I'm guessing less than 10 people in each tour. I found the tour interesting and informative, mostly because I never gave much thought as to how or why my chocolate treats of the past came to be. There are chocolate sculptures that you can take pictures of that were pretty cool, followed by a tasting of chocolates from various regions and tastes. I thought the tastings were the coolest part of the tour. I think they have chocolate and wine pairing events as well. In our groupon, we opted for the mug and hot chocolate add-on and its a drink from the cafe after the tour. I liked the mug that came along with it. The hot chocolate caramel I had was very good. I thought the setup of place was done quite nicely despite my initial impression and enjoyed the tour and the drink at the end. Its a nice dessert place as well and close to all the major tourist attractions.

Thanks to Groupon I had the opportunity to visit this divine establishment and probably tasted the best hot chocolate on the planet. WCMC is super cool because not only is it a full service café with decadent chocolates ready to be indulged in its also got a whole museum in back. The tour is education and edible lol. Our tour guide gave us a complete history on chocolate from how and where it's grown to how far its come in evolution. I won't spoil the tour with lots of details but the chocolate tasting was worth the wait at the end. The chocolate here is fine and high priced so be prepared to spend a little money if you want a taste but trust me its better than anything you would buy at your local grocery store.

A delight for any chocolate lover. The tour was more than we expected. Along with learning the history of chocolate and seeing sculptures, you get to actually sample about 8 different fine chocolates from around the world, and also sample delicious hot coco at the end. Great confections are a available for purchase up front (for the ride home) and if you arrive before the tour, sit back and enjoy a specialty coffee.

In heaven delicious chocolate and such a quaint little place. Great history on chocolate! We had an enthusiastic tour guide to add to the sweetness. You get a tasting included in the tour and at the end you get to purchase the ones you loved along with coffee, wine and other pairings. Definitely a fantastic 45 minutes tour will be back

We cannot begin to describe the amazing experiences we have had at the cafe and on our tour we met one of the owner (Susan) and she was wonderful she explained the menu options and suggested some great items. The tour was phenomenal the tour guide Dave from Australia was hilarious and entertaining he kept us engaged and well informed. We highly recommend the tour and wine pairing and an open mind ( on the different types of chocolates you will try ) you will not regret it. We love trying new chocolates and are regulars now ..I recommend you try the new mozzarella panini it's delicious.

I am so happy we found this unique, awesome gem on groupon and stumbled in at just the right time for the chocolate tour. our guide, Chris, was fun, energetic, and very knowledgeable. The museum aspect was a pleasant surprise. Even my teenager enjoyed it! The tasting room was yummy and I can't say enough about the charming cafe. The staff is inviting, friendly and helpful. And the chocolate... yessss! so good! my iced coffee just made the trip to the chocolate museum even better. A perfect little bit of fun in Orlando away from the crowds.

Had a great time on our tour with Chris this weekend. Super fun thing to do with kids, or if you want to learn more some history and production of cocoa. High quality, hard to find chocolate bars sold in the shop, that are also offered as a tasting at the end of the tour. Chocolate truffles sold in the cafe, great with coffee or tea... Just a great atmosphere :) we had fun!

I don't know how to say this... Ok fine I will say it loud and proud... I'm a huge Chocoholic! So of course when I found out about this place (thru yelp) I knew I had to check it out! Don't be confused by the chocolate kingdom, that's a entirely other chocolate tour place which is located somewhere else in Orlando. World of Chocolate museum has tours every hour but we opted out against this option since we didn't have that much time. However, we did have enough time to come here twice. My first choice was to try the chocolate soufflé however they were out of it. The employee told me they get the soufflé imported from Italy. What?!!!! Now I was truly sad since I have tried desserts in Italy and they didn't have it. So we got the volcano cake with gelato, which was pretty amazing but I kept on thinking of the chocolate soufflé. So at the end I asked them, when they will get more soufflé. I'm so glad I asked because I found out they are getting it next day. End result I went back today and enjoyed that chocolate soufflé like no tomorrow. It was the real deal and it reminded me of the soufflé I had in Rome,Italy. Pretty neat they have chocolates imported from different parts of the world and desserts as well. I really recommend this place for anyone who is craving chocolates/desserts.~

Go here!!!! This place is one that you find and you're like how the heck is this in a strip mall! The tour is great each guide knows their stuff. There is one random selection of chocolate busts....if you can tell me what Christopher Columbus, Barack Obama, and Andy Warhol have in common we will both know!!!! The chocolate and wine pairing is a must! The house made truffles and chocolates are fantastic! The peanut butter bacon and honey rosemary will blow your ever loving chocolate mind!

Even if you don't like museums it's still a great experience. The employees are friendly and the place has a nice coffee shop vibe. The tour gives information about the environment coca beans come from, the history of how it spread around the world, the manufacturing process, you see 25 solid chocolate sculptures, and the best part is sampling about 9 different rich chocolates from around the world. Ricky, our tour guide was really funny and they make things really interesting. Admission was a bit pricey but we got a groupon for $10

This place is like Disney for adults! I love the tour and the tastings. Our tour guide - Chris, I think - was soooo funny and knowledgeable. I have been on many museum tours, and being a tour guide myself, and he is one of the best I've ever seen!!

This review is about the Cafe. Wanted to go on the museum tour but got there too late so decided to try some treats instead. Their chocolate case is impressive, full of sophisticated looking bites for $2 each. Overwhelmed with chocolate options overload, we opted for a Macaroon Gelato (2 scoops of gelato with your choice of macaroon from the case) - the macaroon was the best I've ever had - not necessarily the flavor (caramel) but the freshness and texture. I didn't particularly like either gelato flavor I tried (salted caramel or mint chocolate chip). We also got a little orange cake (princess cake?) which was very good. I was a little confused as to whether they offered table service as there was only 1 person behind the counter helping customers picking out chocolates so we ordered at the counter and someone brought the food to our table. Looked like you could also just sit down at a table and wait a few minutes to see if someone appeared from the back room to wait on you. Not super customer friendly in that aspect. Overall nice atmosphere but no need to revisit when in the Orlando area.

Had a nice time here with my hubby and a friend. We did the Wine and Chocolate pairing. It was fun and very informative. Also ordered a meat and cheese plate and a sampling of a few of their cakes. We were stuffed when we left but had some very yummy treats while we were there. The chocolates themselves are overprices, at $2 a pop, that is more than I am willing to pay but I have seen comparable prices at other places. All in all had a good experience and would definitely go back!

Our visit to this wonderful establishment was more than I ever could have bargained for. We walked in and was greeted with the marvelous scent of coffee and an array of international chocolates, which we were very enthused. We began our journey with walking to the front counter, and an older woman with an eyepatch greeted us. She asked us if we had any questions, and little did she know I really did... So I asked about the eyepatch, and my wife and I got the experience of a lifetime. She told me that she believed in a past life she was the real Hercules and fought the 7 deadly wonders, and she lost an eye during the attack with the 3 headed dog, so since her revelation she has worn her eyepatch.... And we ordered lattes and chocolates and it was amazing! We walked out more educated on the story of Hercules and chocolate. Definitely recommended.

We didn't get a chance to do a tour since we had to catch our flight but we were able to buy some treats from the cafe. The chocolates are sold individually at about $2 a piece. We chose to buy the 8 piece box so it came with one free. We would have bought more but it is quite pricy. There were so many choices so we just picked whatever since the lady said they were all good. She was right. We also tried two of the macarons and the strawberry cake, both were very yummy and sweet. I picked up a bar of strawberry rhubarb chocolate and ended up loving that. The one thing that peeved me a little was that some of the chocolate pieces had dust on it. I picked it off and it was not a problem after. I would recommend they enclose the chocolate in a bakery case of some sort to avoid this. Worth visiting if you're in Orlando if you have a major sweet tooth like me!

My husband and I and some friends had Groupons to burn so we made plans to check this place out on a Sunday afternoon. We arrived just as they were starting the 2pm tour (they have a tour every hour on the dot) . As the girl at the register checked us in and scanned our Groupons, she informed us that they would charge us the tax on top. A little wierd but thankfully they take cards for such a small transaction. The guided tour itself was ok but I think the with the name "World of Chocolate" , I expected so much more. Our tour guide was pretty good (can't recall his name) and seemed to be well versed in all things chocolate. The tour runs about 45 minutes. I don't want to ruin it for you all but, in a nutshell, it starts off with the history and production of cocoa including a video to watch and the role of chocolate throughout history. I think the part of the tour that really sparked everyone's interest was the chocolate sculptures including that of the Great Wall of China and the Eiffel Tower among many others. We learned that these pieces were shipped from Austria , broken down. Then assembled when they arrived in Orlando. They advised against using a flash when taking pictures to preserve the quality of the chocolate but , otherwise, pictures with the sculptures was fair game. At the end, there was a tasting where we were able to try different chocolates and advised not to munch but let the pieces melt to really savour the flavor. There were bowls with small pieces of chocolates, in a row, and small tongs were used so that things remained sanitary (refrain from using your fingers). After the tasting everyone exits into the very tiny gift shop area which is a bit underwhelming. There were a few tshirts and several chocolate bars for purchase from different parts of the world including a $20 chocolate bar. I picked up a German chocolate bar , Hachez, that had flavors reminiscent of Pepperidge Farm's orange milano cookie. Soo good! There is a little cafe and you are welcome to order something from the case of desserts or a coffee/hot cocoa. My Groupon included a free mug and a free hot chocolate so that was a nice way to end the tour. Overall, it was a pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon but don't think I would go again. And based on the reviews, $50 for 4 people is far too much to pay for this tour. I would wait until there is a Groupon available.

3 stars for dark hot chocolate. I had much better in CA and Europe. It tastes like store bought premix chocolate. The drink wasn't thick enough. The sweetness was just about right. Not too sweet.

Pretty interesting and unique place to get educated about chocolate. The tour guide and the chocolate sculptures are from Austria, so that was the unique part. The tour guide was very passionate about the history of chocolate and processes of making chocolate. During the tour, you get to see various chocolate sculptures, like the Great Wall of China, the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, etc. At the end you get to sample a large variety of chocolates and displays of chocolate bar wrappers.

Had a great time with the gf upon grabbing a Groupon (2 for $10). Live right near by and never really thought much of the small touristy strip plaza that went up a couple years back. Got the Groupon for a cheap, convenient date afternoon and it met expectations especially at the discounted price. Guide was informative, providing the oral history on the history and subsequent popularization of chocolate. Chocolate sculptures have novelty but took a back seat to the tasting towards the end of the tour of many variations of fine chocolate (mostly of the dark variety). A fine diversion for tourists and good for a pleasant and different date night for locals, especially w/ the Groupon. No reason really to return (wine tasting seems intriguing) but glad I checked it out!

Had a Groupon for a tour and wine and chocolate pairing. Was a delightful alternative to the "MOUSE"! Our guide for the tour was informative and personable. There were about 20 sculpted famous historical sites done on chocolate and we ended the presentation in a chocolate sampling room...yummy! There were three of us and after the tour we did our wine and chocolate pairing. The wines and chocolates were tasty but I thought our server could have been more attentive. Oh yes, they had for purchase delicious fancy desserts and chocolates from around the world!

This place is a complete joke. $2.00 a piece for tiny chocolates?!? You are insane, right? This whole thing was created to trap tourists and congrats if you fell for this money trap. I love how they also said all their pastries were imported from France and Italy. LOL Most chocolates besides things like Hershey and Mars are imported, of course. So, just because you tell me they are imported does not impress me. I rather spend my money at a chocolatier that makes their chocolates in store. That is by far more impressive. Farris and Foster or Peterbrooke is the way to go. Good luck staying in business.

Hi, my name is Maria and I am a chocoholic hahaha... Chocolate Museum and Cafe, what can I say... this definitely is the place for me or any person that loves chocolate. Very informative as well, you get to learn the process of creating this delicious creation that melts in your mouth.. from the growing plant to distributing this delicacies. Ricky our tour guide was very helpful and funny throughout the entire time. Definitely knows how to keep a crowd's attention and knows his information. After the tour take a seat and enjoy their desserts or there amazing Italian coffee. Don't miss out on this experience, it's worth the stop!

I went back recently and went on the tour which is fun and interesting. The staff seem to really like explaining everything and at the end free chocolate samples. I used a groupon which made it quite a good deal. Don't know how much it is without it. I also got a dark chocolate hot chocolate which was pretty good but I think I should have gone with milk chocolate it was just a little bitter (like dark chocolate) and I think I wasn't really in the mood for it because it's summer time and all. Purchased some carrot cake too it came with a little scoop of ice cream which was super tasty. I generally like my carrot cake to have raisins it wasn't bad just not to my liking. Besides that I picked out some chocolates from around the global to take home and savor.

Came here with a groupon, it's a great place for a date or with kids. They gave us hot chocolate, and then theres a liquor store next door so we definitely re-routed and spiked the hot chocolate ;) The regular price would have been a bit pricey so glad we got the groupon. It's rather small, a good amount of cool looking chocolate structures, and then a bit on the history of chocolate, and then a room to taste 20 or so different types of chocolate.

What a unique and educational experience hidden on the I-Drive corridor. We were greeted by our guide, Ricky, who was worry but full of knowledge. You learn about the history of chocolate, the making process and flavors. Also, is lots of displays including many large chocolate sculptures. Afterwards you sample different chocolates and can pitches chocolates or a variety of desserts in the lobby/cafe.

Waste of time. The people working do not have a clue who is next to be served. Rude tourists just jumping in front of people that have been waiting for 5 or 10 minutes ...I am surprised it has lasted as long as it has .

My partner and I are here from HAWAII and am extremely pleased to have come to the tour! Our tour guide, Jon, was extremely nice to fit us in, in an earlier your than we scheduled and it was a nice sensational activity. Great onus and lots of humor, with an extremely large amount of information. Walked out with a few 100% bars and a mug and even got hot chocolate. Great place.

This was a very disappoint trip - The drinks were nasty, along with terribly small portion sizes and way overpriced, I would not recommend this place to any one with little kids or teens. Save your money go to the one in Daytona or the other one on I-Drive. Not only was this not kid friendly it was not inviting or friendly, especially with the girl behind the counter on the phone ingoing us when we entered! The display cases were cold and impersonal with no real options a child or teen would want to eat, or anything to take home really, but I wanted to give it a try we ordered 3 bon bon's at $1.98 each and ice Mocha and a Lg. Chocolate Milkshake , $5.95 for my teen, the bon bon's were ok nothing special, the ice coffee was served in a small glass even asking to have it put in a togo cup, the Large Milkshake ordered was in a 10 oz. togo container, it was thin and running and tasked awful , when my teen asked to just take it back for a refund they looked like we asked a horrible questions, I told her we expected a regular Chocolate Shake like the menu board said, what we got was a gelato shake with Brazilin Chocolate. Had the menu stated that we would not have ordered it. She took the drink to the back spoke with someone came back and handed it back to me, I said I wanted a refund, as a tour came out, she started to walk away from me - I loudly told her Oh no you don't walk away from me to wait on those people and leave me standing here I want a refund and I want a Manager NOW. She got a co-worker, who said she was not a manger but could help me I got my refund and will never go back there, I have lots of visitors that I take to fun, and unique places - And This will not be one of them!

Best cup of hot chocolate Ive ever had. We decided on the dark chocolate, and were very impressed. We used to make our own chocolate at home from fresh cacao fruit(we had this readily available in Costa Rica) , and because of that experience I believe we probably appreciate the taste more than others might. We notice it more, and to us it tasted terrific. Ill write another review when we head back for more and the tour.

Really fun! Try to get a groupon; it's $16.95 admission. If you can't find one, there is a $2 off coupon in the brochure inside the cafe. The tour was fun and informative. Our guide, David, was cheeky and funny! He really made us be involved. You do get to taste 5-7 different types of awarded chocolate and see sculptures and paintings made of chocolate. It's a bit pricey, so look for a coupon. We stopped in the cafe afterward and had a chocolate gelato milkshake. It was more like chocolate milk, not at all shake-y. The truffles looked amazing, but were $2 a piece, so being some Moolah. Overall, a fun outing! They sell international chocolate bars, truffles, bonbons, and some pastries as well!

I went here with my family (grandparents, siblings, and niece and nephew who are about 10 years old) and we all loved it! We used a Groupon which I think made the tour $9 per person. TOUR The tour and "museum" part was surprisingly informative and educational, filled with the history of chocolate as well as the chocolate-making process. We were able to look closely at antique, huge chocolate-making equipment, over 25 solid chocolate sculptures, and hold and touch real cacao pods and beans. Our tour guide's name was Tyler and he was great - friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. At the end of the tour are chocolate samples, including the French brand of chocolate Valrhona, one of the finest in the world because they use the finest cacao bean, criollo. It was very dark, 85% cacao, but wasn't very bitter. It was almost sweet and slightly fruity. There were also several varieties of milk and white chocolate samples, too. The tour took about 1 hour and starts about every hour on the hour. SHOP There are many bars of chocolate to choose from! They are even featured by region/country, so if you want to try chocolate from Italy, France, Germany, or Belgium, you can. There are unique selections like butterscotch milk chocolate, honeycomb chocolates, mixed berry white chocolate, etc. The Amedei bar is the finest chocolate that this store sells. It comes from Italy and costs $25 for a bar! It is apparently the third highest rated chocolate bar in the world. For $1.25 you can try a small square instead, since this is one of their "try before you die" chocolates. TRUFFLES My husband and I brought home a sample of truffles to try, and they were pretty amazing, and visually stunning. I love the unique flavors like chai, coconut curry, cardamom, earl grey, lavender honey, etc. I was disappointed with the strawberry cheesecake truffle (not much strawberry flavor) but everything else was awesome. I especially loved the cardamom truffle - so good!! And the lemon blueberry one was so luscious and layered with lemony white chocolate truffle and blueberry jam-like filling. The earl grey truffle tasted surprisingly like earl grey tea - it wasn't just a hint of earl grey flavor in chocolate. We were surprised at how all of the flavors were so noticeable and distinct. Each truffle really tasted like what it said it was! CAFE Loved it! We all tried different desserts and they were all delicious. The "World of Chocolate" cake was served warm and with whipped cream - very dark chocolate and not too sweet. The raspberry lemon drop cake was amazing too - layers of soft lemon cake, raspberry filling, a light fluffy lemon cream, and white chocolate... so good. The tiramisu was also really good for what it was, but definitely not the best nor most authentic tiramisu we have had. The sugar-free white chocolate raspberry cake was also really yummy. And the hot cocoa was great... made with fine cocoa that comes from the prized criollo cacao bean.

We arrived right as a tour began. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and nice. The tour showed you the history of chocolate and how it came to the states. At the end of the tour there's a room with sculptures made from chocolate. The chocolates for purchase were very yummy especially the apple liqueur.

WORTH IT... IF YOU PAY HALF PRICE Deals on LivingSocial and Groupon allowed my family to enter at half cost--and for the information, sights and tour it was definitely worth it. But if you pay any more above that half price (or above $11--it would be a tad price gauging). We also had delicious, Chocolatey cakes at the Café (I forgot their names)--but they were very rich and moist. One had hints of Orange while another had some liquor infused inside. WHAT YOU'LL SEE A tour guide takes you on the one hour tour beginning with a video introduction to the harvesting of Cacoa. He teaches you about chocolate's history and how different countries embraced it back then. A larger room houses big Chocolate Sculptures (I thought it would be cold in here to prevent the Chocolate from melting but the temperature never changed). We saw equipment used to create Chocolate and finally entered the small Chocolate Sampling area. The last area was a gallery of Chocolate wrappers and mini sculptures. TAKING THE TOUR Our guide David was very upbeat and entertaining although most of his jokes would probably work better on a group of older Americans as opposed to my group that day: International families. David was straightforward if he couldn't answer our questions and still captured our attention during the 'more boring' moments. Naturally the crowd pleasers are the sculptures and the tasting area. The Chocolates sampled are very rich--the type you'd have with wine--thus only small pieces are given. I would've liked to linger longer at the ending gallery but we zoomed through it.

The tour was really entertained. If you like something relaxing, this is the place after a whole day walking in the theme park. My wife and I did the chocolate and wine testing. We love it. We didn't know that wine and chocolate together go that well. I really recommend it.

This tour was lots of fun. Just the right amount of tour, without being cheesy. Lots of chocolate to taste at the end, all of which is fabulous. They now have wine and chocolate tasting classes, sounds fun!

The tour was light and informative, the tasting was free reign and quite good. the cafe has plenty of options even for those who aren't in love with chocolate. a macaroon gelato is the best thing. we got hot chocolates with our Groupon and were thrilled with both the dark chocolate and the caramel option

A new favorite must do for the Orlando / international drive area. A little farther from the main hotel area but the I-trolley drops you off right in front. We got the groupon special (10$ per ticket) and absolutely loved our tour! Ricky was amazing , so nice and knowledgable, made the hour long tour a wonderful experience. The chocolate sculptures are phenomenal. The highlight of the tour was the final room where you got to test 9 different chocolates - wow! So many wonderful flavors, we ended up buying several bars of exotic chocolates as souvenirs. The cafe part is also something worth splurging for, we got the chocolate trilogy cake and a mocha coffee and it completed the experience. Chocoholics you don't want to miss this place

We also used groupon to go here so the price was $9, not $17. And for $9, it was definitely worth it. The tour was like 45 min with tasting at the end. The dude was informative but also entertaining so wasn't boring at all. Wish I was able to taste some of the stuff in the front but I was all chocolated out with the tasting on the tour. But I did buy the "chocolate you should try before you die" so we'll see how that is. We were a little skeptical at first because it is in a strip mall but there's a lot to see in the back on the tour. But I'm not sure if I would have gone if we didn't have the groupon. Perhaps for like $12-13? They did mention that the place is still new(like 5 months) and in the future they are looking to do chocolate making classes. I'm just wondering how long those sculptures will last for...

Have driven past this place and drooled on many past trips to Orlando, so on an impulse after dinner, my mom and wife and I finally stopped in to visit. Wow! Although very expensive, the treats were heavenly. My dad as always fond of saying after dinner, "Just need a little taste of something sweet!" Well, this time we did. Mom got a box of assorted chocolates that she selected--about 15 for about $25.00. The chocolates were hand-made and delicious--we got an assortment and most included caramel and sea salt, and we each had one each day for a few days before they were gone. We got a white chocolate/raspberry cake to go, and I guess there was a good reason it was not as tasty as expected :-) The museum tour was going to begin in 45 minutes an cost $17 each, so we did not take advantage of that. I was a little surprised there was a fee and that it was guided. Overall, the four stars were rated for the delicious chocolates that everyone should have a taste of before they experience the next paradise!

Amazing tour with Chris! Great education with chocolate sampling and wide variety of chocolates and wine to taste.

They seem like an awesome place, but I'm vegan. Nothing for me to see here. This is unfortunate because they were so nice.

  • Matt M.

Purchased the Groupon and I'm glad I did as this is completely overpriced without it. The tour was nice, but kinda sparce. Liked tasting the chocolates, but I think the total amount I ate was less than a Hershey's Kiss. Fun little place to visit for 50% off. Nice selection of chocolates at the end, but they are pricey too. Probably just as pricey as other places, but honestly I don't go to fine chocolate places often!

Loved coming here! We started with the tour which was a little long for me but the sculptures were beautiful. The best part was the very taste samples of chocolate at the end. Anyone who loves chocolate should definitely come here.

Simply wonderful. The aroma when you first walk in puts you into a dreamy and nostalgic mood. The truffles and cakes are beautiful and taste like nothing else. The tour was informative and fun. The guide was funny and very personable, making it the cherry on top of the day.

Upon arriving you're greeted by the wonderful aroma of chocolate. You're taken on a guided tour, which luckily we arrived right when one was about to start, as only one is offered each hour (although I guess we could have enjoyed their cafe had we needed to wait). The tour lasts about 45 min. A guide shows you a short video and then proceeds to explain the history of chocolate and how it's made. There are some neat sculptures like the Taj Mahal and one of a geisha, made completely out of chocolate. The tour ends with a variety of chocolates to sample; our group tried varying darks, orange flavored, ginger flavored, white, etc...I liked the place but thought there would have been more to it. It would be cool to see cafe treats being made and even being able to make some treats ourselves. I had a groupon and feel it was worth the $9 groupon price, but it's totally not worth full price. A friend tried some truffles from the cafe and said they were good. They should offer package options like a dozen for X amount. I thinik it'd be nice to get a cafe discount to after purchasing the tour.

While vacationing with my in-laws in Orlando we went to this. I didn't have my hopes set too high but by the end of it I really had a great time. it was a fascinating history of chocolate and even involved interactive tasting along the way. I really had a great time and totally dug it.

We arrived at 10:20am on a Sunday morning but their sign says they don't open until 11am. Yelp is wrong. We just wanted coffee, hot chocolate (should be good at a chocolate cafe, right?), and some goodies to take with us. They weren't open. What kind of a cafe doesn't open until 11am, especially on a Sunday? I would've thought they'd open at 7am. Lame. A mature employee (maybe a manager?) was standing near us in the parking lot talking to a person in a car, and HAD to have heard me mentioning how crazy their hours are. One would think he would've piped in if he gave a damn. I expected him to say SOMETHING to us, but nope. As we were leaving a couple with their child walked up and tried to open the doors as well. Get out of bed and open your store earlier on a Sunday!

If you are hesitating on visiting this location. Don't. It was very nice and the museum was very interesting! It is worth the Groupon for $10. But it will be worth $20 full price!

Great place for chocolate lovers. The history was very educational/informative. I had no idea! Tour guide was great! Don't go without a groupon. You'll save so much money.

I got discount coupons on Groupon. I am glad I did. Although it was a great tour about the history of chocolate and some amazing chocolate carvings, I think the full price of the tour is too high. Our tour guide, Dillon, was very entertaining and extremely knowledgeable. He made the tour a delight. (We did get to sample some small pieces of chocolate at the end.) The candies were $1.95 each piece (we're talking average diameter the size of a half dollar (I think $1 each would be more reasonable) and there was a little cafe for coffee, hot chocolate and pastries. That part was priced as you would think of at a specialty coffee shop, All in all - if you can get the $9 discount ticket on Groupon it's worth it. (p.s. don't forget to bring sales tax money - they do charge it on top of the discount).

I saw this as a groupon and decided why not. I took my boyfriend on a date for 9 bucks each. Tour guide (david) was a HILARIOUS guide, and googled questions he was sure the answer of. He chatted with me and my boyfriend after the tour and the two of them talked about cameras since David was also a photographer. The deserts were a bit pricy, but absolutely DELICIOUS. If you like tea and chocolate like me, the tiny earl gray was AMAZING. One of the best dates i've been on with my boyfriend. You get to taste chocolate during the tour and right next to the dish is the box marked with a 60$ price tag!!! It was incredible to be able to taste the extravagant chocolates without spending the big bucks. I can't even explain how much I enjoyed this small tour.

We took the Chocolate Tour as our last Orlando adventure before packing it up and heading back home. The tour was very interesting.....and you get samples of chocolate to taste. I'm glad our kids are older (11 and 15) I do not recommend bringing small kids. They will get bored, then get loud and ruin other people's tour. The tour is 16.95 per person, but I had a $9 Groupon...it's worth 9 dollars, so go to Groupon, get the coupon, and take the tour. Then sit down and share a dessert and coffee :-)

I4 happened to be backed up that day bumper to bumper traffic. Called to see if we could make late reservations but unfortunately they don't take any at all which is kinda a downfall but we got there in time to make the 7pm tour with Nick. He was very entertaining and funny throughout out the tour. The tour is actually not that bad it's very informative about chocolate and pretty short along the ways of the tours there's many of things to see like everything made out of chocolate, Great Wall of china, Empire State and etc..You get to try about 6-9 choices of chocolate chunks (as many as you like that is) and if you buy the groupon deal for wine tasting and chocolate that is your last duty for the night. You get 4 choices of chocolate and wines (2 white 2 red). All the chocolates are very good but two of the wines are beyond horrible but I'll leave that for you to try. Get the Groupon deal the regular price is not worth it.

Looking for something to do around Orlando, and I found this on Yelp! It was a lot of fun and informative. My tour guy, Chris, was the best! He was full of horribly funny jokes and fun facts. At the end the tour, my favorite part, the group had samples of over 20 chocolates. One of the chocolates was even $20 dollars for a bar! I loved it :-)

  • Kenny G.

The chocolate is descent, the coffee is extremely overpriced. Starbucks doesn't even overcharge people for coffee like that. Since when does a "black" coffee with nothing in it cost almost $4? And my friend was underwhelmed with the volcano cake. Anyhow, this place is cool I guess... Just extremely overpriced

This was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon! We started with the wine and chocolate pairing, Bambi was our host and she was awesome! She was very professional and knowledgeable about the chocolate and wine pairings. No need to worry, she walks you through the whole experience, very stress free, funny and comfortable. We also did the tour which we highly recommend. It sounds crazy, "a chocolate tour?" but it was a lot of fun. Jonhathan was our tour guide. He was super funny and put on a great tour. Feel free to ask him anything. He knows the history of the chocolate and everything else about it. He made everything fun and enjoyable. Plus there are samples along the way, so I don't recommend eating the display cacao beans like my grandmother. But she said even those were delicious. We went on Mother's Day with my wife, mother, father and grandmother. It's a perfect way to spend date night, ladies night, group of friends or something different to do for the afternoon. We plan to come back and try the cheese and meat dish. Everyone had a great time and we recommend giving it a shot! I'd leave young kids at home. Thank you Johnathan and Bambi for such a wonderful experience! New appreciation for chocolate!

We have lived down the street from World of Chocolate for over two years now and finally decided to give it a try on New Year's Day, as we saw a Groupon for it online. We were so glad we went, and we will definitely be repeat customers! The museum tour was fantastic, mainly because our tour guide, David. His corny chocolate jokes, antics and Australian accent made for a very fun-filled experience. The museum itself was interesting and we learned so much about chocolate that we'd never known before. The chocolate sculptures were magnificent and very detailed, and the room filled with wrappers from around the world and throughout the times was great! The best part of course was the chocolate tasting at the end of the tour. We were under the impression that there would only be one type of chocolate we could taste (sort of a 'chocolate of the day' type deal), but to our delight there were something like 10+ different types of chocolate from all around the world that we could try! From light to dark, plain to fruity, they were all delicious. It helped us decide which chocolate bars we wanted to purchase in the museum store/cafe afterwards, because with some bars priced over $20, it would have been a gamble to just choose one without tasting! Because the store/cafe is open to the public, tour not required, we will definitely be back often for truffles and their delicious hot chocolate. Overall, World of Chocolate was an A+ experience. Thanks David and crew!

Bought tickets from Living Social with the wine tasting. The whole set up was awesome! Each wine were paired perfectly with a chocolate. From David, our tour guide, to Lucy, our server during the wine tasting, our experience there were very memorable. Definitely recommend the wine/chocolate tasting! I will miss this place.

Enjoyed the museum tour given by David and the chocolate tastings toward the end. They also have handmade chocolate for sale with an abundance of flavors like Apple Liquor, Passion Fruit, Lemon, Cranberry Cheesecake, Baileys Dark, and many more! We also had a delicious cup of Hot Chocolate (caramelia flavor) before we went. Worth the money and your time. Stop by when you have an hour to spare!

  • Brian B.

This was great! Aside from the great chocolate (and even better hot chocolate), the cafe has a really nice vibe, and free WiFi. That was all before the tour, which was incredible. Led by John, the manager, the tour was refreshingly personable yet informative. They did a great job interacting with the crowd, and it is so clear that they really love the subject matter. The sculptures are surprisingly neat to see in person, and the chocolate tasting flavors are really interesting!

This place was wonderful. The tour was very entertaining with our guide David. Especially loved his Australian accent. The chocolate tasting was delicious. The chocolates that you could purchase at the shop was very interesting. Never seen any of the ones they had. My favorite was the peanut butter and bacon chocolate. Delicious! It was a wonderful experience.

I really enjoy this place. It's beautifully decorated, the staff is very friendly and the chocolates are amazing. Went on the museum tour and it was interesting however its over $15 per person for this tour. I'm not saying it isn't worth going over price. What I am saying is that when you spend that much money to go on a tour in a very nice establishment to learn of the beginnings of how chocolate came about and such, the TOUR GUIDE would be more professional and more attentive to his paying customers. He was texting the whole time. It was obvious his mind was elsewhere. To top it off whoever he had been texting the whole time showed up out of nowhere to say hi in the middle of the tour. Professionalism failed with this guy. Presented hisself well but just severely lacked in doing his tour guide job. I'd recommend banning using your cell phone during working hours.

Pretty great experience. There are many awesome things to learn about how chocolate came to be as popular as it is today. Cool chocolate sculptures to feast your eyes on as well. My favorite part of the exhibit was the chocolate tasting. There were so many varieties and flavors. After the tour, you can buy some amazing chocolates as well. The Almond Hazelnut truffle was my favorite. You should definitely check this place out.

To name this place 'World of Chocolate' could qualify as the biggest overstatement of the century. I will confess, I simply stopped in for a afternoon treat - had no intentions of going on a chocolate tour or visiting the museum. With that bring said - not impressed. Sure they had some truffles, bakery items, and gelato - But WORLD OF CHOCOLATE - come on! We expected more then a boutique selection of chocolate gifts. It might be a nice spot for a coffee and free wifi, which I'll gladly admit was fast. All and all, did not live up to my expectations.

My daughter and I both love chocolate so we went to this quaint yet under developed museum. The tour was well done and the guide was very attentive and informative, don't let him go! The sculpture are cool, story line was nice yet something was missing and I'm not sure what. I can see where they have room to grow. According to their website there are classes and cooking demonstration, I saw no evidence of either. But with a little help from the public this place will be great. Id also like to see a variety of chocolates from all over the world. And possible rearrange the chocolates by geographic location. I plan to visit again.

Very cool experience. The reason for 3 stars is some of the worst customer service I have ever had. My wife and I purchased tickets for the museum tour on groupon for only $10 (a great value). We had to wait in line to redeem the groupon for a tour ticket. After about 10 minutes we reached the font of the line, and the cashier without saying a word walked away and started helping another line of customers at the other end of the counter. At first we thought she was just being rude, and assumed she would be back shortly. But it was another 10 minutes until she asked another worker to spend 30 seconds to give us tickets. There was a large line behind us, and several people working on the floor. It was just very hard for both of us to understand how this could be handled so poorly... However after we got stated with the tour, it was really great. Good history, amazing chocolate statues, and of course chocolate tasting! We got to eat bacon chocolate!!! This place is pretty cool!

Fun place to visit with a good group of people since the tour is based on the people's interactions. Still brand new and has room for improvement but it was great when used with a Groupon voucher. Tour guide was funny and energetic. You make it how you want it to go. Great cafe for hanging out with free wifi and lounge area. Prices are high for the chocolate on sale. Go if you have people visiting orlando and want to try something new.

The tour is educational and the tour guides are fun and knowledgeable. The jokes are corny but it does make things casual and comfortable. The tours are at certain times and take about 40 minutes. They have real cacao beans, chocolate sculptures, and free tastings, so the tour is worth it. The chocolates in the shop are delicious but a little pricey.

I been waiting for this place to open as I am a huge chocolate lover. The service was excellent from the moment I walked into the door I was greeted and instantly given knowledge of their museum and cafe. I really enjoyed their gelato cappuccino and got pistachio as my gelato flavor, something very different but enjoyable. They have many different option of chocolate and staff is very knowledgeable of the chocolate. The museum I did not get to do as I want to come at a later date. I greatly recommend this to anyone who loves chocolate. Great service, presentation, experience and above all taste. #yelp #yelporlando #orlando #chocolate

I am so glad we accidentally passed by this place. I am a chocoholic and I was not disappointed. Chocolates are exquisite. The staff is also very versed about the product they are selling as to its pairing with wine. Prices are very reasonable, and go together with the ambiance and the style of the place.

I wasn't expecting much in the tour but it ended up being very entertaining and informative. It lasted about 50 minutes and included a chocolate tasting. The tour guide was engaging and the information was bizarre. Look for coupons or it's $18 per person.

  • Dana K.

The chocolate cake was good and the Oreo cheesecake was even better. Wasn't too crazy about the cappuccino gelato but it wasn't bad. It took a little while for us to get our stuff and everything came out at different times but the place is new and still working out some kinks.

If you love chocolate, go here! We brought our 9 year old daughter and we all had a great time. Dave our tour guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun! Learned a lot, saw really cool chocolate sculptures and got to taste lots of delicious types of chocolate from all over the world. Fun visit!

  • Brian M.

I'm sorry but those chocolates are way over priced, I have seen the same chocolates at targets and other stores for far less for the same thing. and your deserts, the chocolate cake, is sold at franki farrels right down the road so there is nothings special about that, ill be willing to bet that the other deserts are sold at other places as well. as for your tour, your tour guide should spend less time on his phone and interact with guest more, as for the people at the counter should spend less time rushing people and talking amongst themselves. defiantly not worth my money or time I spent in the store. I even showed the lady at the counter a picture of a few truffles at another store in a 5 pack from the same country for 5 bucks. she literally told me I was crazy. yea goodbye, I will be back with that kind of costumer service or attitude.

The tour guided was fantastic! I wasnt as impressed by the gift shop or the actual tour. The sculptures made out of chocolate were impressive but I would not pay full price for this place...do not go unless you have a groupon.

  • Grant H.

Went there on our last vacation day, thought it would be interesting. Some parts were informative but the rest, not so much. One of the rooms was displayed in the time period the guide was talking about, but who cares. I was expecting to see more of the process of how chocolate was made and not the whole tour of the history of chocolate. All that and the tour was $15 a person, hardly worth it. Save your money unless you get a Groupon deal, and even that's pushing it.

  • Joseph G.

Do not be fooled by the fact that this place is in a strip mall. It is in fact the most incredible chocolate experience I've ever had. The collection of exhibits is truly impressive and extraordinarily detailed. The tour also ends with free chocolate tastings of gourmet quality chocolate. Coupled with a great tour guide, this was a great experience!!

The tour was funny and interesting. Our guide, David, was very good even if he is australian (lol). They are fairly pricey but they also have very high quality for it. Good for young children and only an hour long. Definitely worth it while you're on I-drive.

My mom, husband and I just went today. The general manager knew so much about the history of chocolate and its production. I really enjoyed the tour and the historical references throughout the tour. We had a great time walking around and taking photos of the statues. Overall, it was a totally awesome experience! We also got to sample chocolates from around the world. There was so much variety here!!!! Thanks groupon for bringing this gem to us!
