I did not say that, so before you call names and belittle paying patrons, recognize who you are talking to. Those ladies left before you came out of the bathroom (that again, you cut in line of ten ladies who were paying at your bar). I only asked if you were really the owner, bc I had never seen an "owner" behave so badly in their own establishment.

This place is great! Small, sexy little bar next to Mother Falcon. Great for relaxing, a date, and just catching up with a friend . The staff is very friendly, attentive, and good at recommending drinks. Great choices of beer and wine and also...on Thursday nights the Fish Out of Water sushi truck is outside! Definitely want to go here again. Oh, and don't forget to check out all the art!

I end up going here about once a week. Its a nice change of scenery in the thorton park area and a nice spot to hang out with friends listen to a variety of music depending on the day. I'm a pretty big fan of most nights except friday nights which is Uberbahn night. The decor on the wall changes every few weeks and they often have different art shows for local artists going on.

The falcon is a great little spot for some good craft beer. It's a trendy dive bar, if that's a thing. Adorn with work from local artists, a photobooth and a wall dedicated to an analogy dating board, The Falcon puts on weekly events that will draw in a great crowd. The bartenders are friendly and they love letting you taste new beer.

The Falcon is a great spot to enjoy craft beer in Thornton Park. What makes it 5 stars for me is that is a unique setting displaying local art each month. What I like is the art has a theme with a number of artists displaying their work rather than just one artist with a bunch of the same artwork. It's fun to see how all the different artists interpret the theme of the month. I also enjoy the look of the bar. Along with the art adorning the walls you've got a nice bar to belly up to, and the front windows open up the space. If you want to take in the atmosphere of Thornton Park enjoy your drink on the patio out front. I come here for beer and The Falcon offers a nice selection of craft beer. It's not an large selection, but it's quality. They have some specials including a $3 craft draft night. Check out their Facebook Page for the deals and other events taking place. The staff has always been friendly and engaging. The owners are committed to making Thornton Park the great neighborhood that it is. I think it's nice to support business that is active and involved in their community. The Falcon is the place when you're looking for a laid back spot to enjoy a couple of good beers with friends.

Great spot if you want a good beer or glass of wine, in a casual relaxing environment. I have been here twice now, and I like that the bartenders are laid back, and you can actually talk to people without having to shout. There was a band this past time, but they played one song and quit... not sure what that was about. There is also lots of different artwork around the bar. I love that they showcase local talent. You can order food from Dexter's across the street, and they are in a great location if you are looking to hop around, with Graffiti Junktion across the street, and other various food and drink spots. My friend and I left deciding we want to make this place our regular spot.

I went to The Falcon because a friend of mine was playing a show, and what I ended up with was a very poor taste in my mouth. I'm not one to scoff at beer prices, but a couple of the ones I tried ended up being a bit more than I have seen anywhere else, even downtown. Thornton Park in general feels like this, as if it wants to be a hip place to be downtown, but not Downtown, and as a result they hike their prices a bit. As for the music aspect to this business, that too left something to be desired. The sound wasn't bad at all, which is part of the reason that I give this place the rating that I do. However, seating is either at the bar (which takes up majority of the space) or in these little nooks with couches and support beams on either side. What results is a venue where you can't see anything going on up front by the "stage". I'm grateful that I've seen my friend's band play elsewhere, because I wouldn't have had much to say about it after The Falcon, not because of their music, but because it's virtually impossible to enjoy it unless you're right up front. I will say that the service is decent, and they do have some neat amenities. The "art gallery" part is an interesting addition, but there doesn't really seem to be a theme to what they showcase, and it's obviously less important that the other things they have. I can't say I won't go back, but based on their live music nights, I might choose to look for a different night.

I've only been here twice in the past year and I feel guilty for not stopping by for at least 1 drink more often. The last time I came here was for redemption....after having access to a crappy selection of so called craft beers at another establishment across the way from the Falcon. I was already in a bad mood that day, and getting to sit down in a comfy seat, enjoying a nice quality beer here eased my mood. I had to be someplace else that night, but I really wanted to stay here and just relax with my beer and watch whatever eclectic movie they had playing, and listening to some upbeat loungy music playing. This night was halloween and the bartender was friendly and offered us some free candy. She joked that she needed more people to take the candy, or she'd eat it all. One other couple had walked in, who seemed down to earth, but at the same time were critiquing their beer selection for the best beer. I remember the guy commenting how the Smashed Pumpkin was a substard Pumpkin beer, which is an option I shared. He seemed interested in the place and in trying some of the other beers I was also interested in. The first time here I was hanging out with friends, who love the place too. Again I could only have 1 beer that night, and enjoyed looking at the art work. The art rotates and seems to have a theme. I guess I'd know more about how often they change it out if I would remember to stop here more often.

Favorite place ever on Washington Street in Thornton park. Awesome drafts, staff and photoboothing!! They welcome dogs and even have a cat designated nite. How cute? Amazingly!!! Also, you can watch the walking dead when the seasons running and they also have movie nights. Score, score across the board!!!

This is one of my favorite bars in/around Thornton Park. I've been a total of maybe only 10-12 times, but it didn't take more than a few visits before it became one of my favorites. I found it to be instantly likable. I think that my favorite night to be here is on Fridays, when some modern electronic/gothic music is played. I really like most of it. I usually find myself here on other random weeknights and sometimes on Sundays. There usually is great music here and sometimes DJs who play different genres of music. It can range from beats/etc. to "emo" stuff. Maybe the best time I've had here was either earlier this year or late in 2011 (though probably the former) when an employee played a ton of "emo" and "indie" music for a few hours via his laptop. I heard a lot of stuff that I really liked & that I didn't know before as well as plenty of old favorites. There's ample seating along the bar as well as outside. The place, to me, appears to be clean and well-kept. The beer selection here is pretty good and the bar sometimes, if not always, offers specials. I've been here a few times when PBR and other beers have cost less than they usually do, though I can't remember which day it is that PBR costs less. The best thing to do is to check out The Falcon's Facebook page, which is updated regularly, if not daily, and provides the latest news. As Elizabeth F. mentioned, occasionally a food truck can be seen outside of The Falcon. I believe that the Fish Out of Water truck is there on Thursdays (she mentioned that, too; check the FB account to make sure the day still is correct). In the past, La Empanada has been outside of The Falcon, though I believe that was on Sunday mornings. I'm not sure if that still goes on, though. If you're into this sort of thing, check out Mother Falcon next door, too. You can create custom t-shirts there, and that shop is run by the same owners of The Falcon. I highly recommend a trip to both!

One of the most chill bars in Orlando. I love the location, I love the ever-changing art, I love Uberbahn on Friday and I love looking out the window while drinking a mimosa on Sunday. Falcon is hip without being pretentious.

I was really not impressed by this place. Maybe I'm not cool enough to appreciate the downer music and lack of people on a Friday night. There were more people smoking outside than there were inside. They seemed like pseudo hipsters. I guess it's just not my scene.

You all know I am a huge fan of Mother Falcon so you know I have to love me their newest adventure: The Falcon! What do I love about Melissa and John? They get it. They get all of it. They opened their t-shirt shop to garner attention to a local community and took it above and beyond with all the local art support they are continually giving. They are heavily involved with Thornton Park as a whole and you can really feel the love they have for this city in their businesses. So, their new addition, which is right next to Mother Falcon is - The Falcon Bar & Gallery, an independent and cutting edge experience in the arts in a gallery and bar setting. Yes, the first room is set up for a gallery event and spots for entertainment and DJs. Then the bar area is your spot to sit back and relax with some wine or craft beers... and cider! This place is awesome, extremely chill and has some dope art. You must stop in and check it out. The only downside I experienced was 1 bathroom so there was a bit of a wait, but I just drank while I waited =) I am pretty sure this is going to be my go-to stop when I need to chill or grab a nice cold one and want to meet some really cool people. It's open so go check it out!!!

This bar is awesome! I stopped in one Saturday night thinking I was only going to stick around for one drink. I stepped in around 11PM... and ended up staying until closing! First off, the décor is way awesome. Why? Because they have paintings up on the walls everywhere which you can actually buy. They have an awesome deer head on the wall (I love deer heads. They remind me of where I grew up- Vermont) and they have this awesome photo booth which the pictures actually print out with good quality. The selection of drinks was great- crafts beers galore! The bartenders were super nice. and hey, if you are single, they have a Singles board also, where you take a picture of yourself in the photo booth, attach it to a questionnaire, and then tack it on the bulletin board. Cute concept. Awesome place. I will be back!

I totally thought I had written a review for this place before. I even went and looked at Mother Falcon to see if I messed up and put it there. But it would seem that I have not. I think what's awesome about this bar is how much it is a staple in Thorton Park. They are always a part of all the events there. The artwork is all original and can be printed on a shirt at Mother Falcon next door. The work is themed. Once I went and it was artwork inspired by the movie Alien and this most recent time was artwork by The Shining. Sometimes the bar snacks are Goldfishes. Love them. The bathroom is just a one stall, but the bar isn't super huge so it's enough.

I've been here a number of times, for different reasons. They have live music in here sometimes which can get a little loud because the place is so small but it's still cool. I can walk here from my house so it makes for a great Sunday Funday spot. You can order brunch from Dexter's (which is always packed on Sundays) and they'll bring it over to you while you enjoy multiple mimosas on the cheap. Oh and you can bring your dog inside to hang out. Awesome!

I have been here twice now. On a super packed Saturday night and also on a very chill Wednesday evening. The bartenders are very nice! I love all the art on the walls that are for sale by local artists. The place is dark inside with lots of places to sit. I love that they are located in the lovely Thornton Park area. The Wednesday that I went there was hip hop music playing the entire time and on the Saturday night I went there was a DJ playing different types of music. On the Saturday night that I went I got to dance with some friends in the open area at the front which was a lot of fun. I went on the Wednesday night specifically to eat at the food truck that was there called Bem Bom that serves Portuguese food. I wanted to eat some food and grab a couple of beers here. Unfortunately, they were out of about four beers that I wanted. They have some good craft beers though if you are lucky enough to find them in stock. They also have some beers on draft but not many.

I stopped in to see their new space for the Replicated art show this Saturday night and I absolutely love what they've done. The space is set up with the gallery/DJ in front and a long, cozy bar in the back. Good wine and craft beer choices, good tunes and a really nice vibe - hip but still laid-back. AND, their bartenders are the ones who caught the (alleged) "Thornton Park flasher" creepster... how can you not love 'em for getting that dude off the street?? ;)

I came in - I think it was on a Friday - at the end of happy hour, about 7 or 8. I like the place. The atmosphere is pretty cool. The art is good. The drink selection is good (they had a few ciders that were acceptable, and they had Mexican Coke on the menu, although it wasn't in stock). They didn't have a lot of taps, but they had a lot of bottles that I would be interested in trying. You know the beer selection is good when there are some that I would actually drink. Specifically - they have the Duchess! That's the best beer around, IMHO. I'm sure it was pricey - it's like $5 in the store - but worth it. I got a chance to recommend it to someone as a group came in a little while before we left. The bartender at the time seemed really cool. My lady and her had a chat. She seemed perfect for the part if she were casted for a film. Just the right hair and a few tats, very chill, perfect! I like the recessed seating in the walls. We sat at the bar, so I can't say how comfy it was, though. It was well put together. The atmosphere was nice and dark and cool. Like I said I liked the art, the overall look was great. If someone was new to Orlando and I brought them there, they would probably think I was cool for doing so. :) I really need to come back - and I will - when it's kickin'. It was a nice quiet place at the time to have a drink, but I need to see it's other side. Cheers!

I've heard nothing but great things about this place but then I went there last night and it was awful. Positives: Awesome design inside and great beers Negatives: First, they have no water. They give you a glass to go fill up water by yourself. I was drinking Dog Fish 90 mins, thats a strong beer so I wanted a water and that was insane that I had to get it myself. They didnt even have bottle water to purchase. Second, there were about 40 people standing outside all smoking and the bartender came up to a member in our group and asked him to stand away from the door because he was smoking a cigar and he could smell it inside. Really? Third, the bartenders weren't overly friendly for a neighborhood bar. Im used to the service at places like Burtons, and even Graffiti. They treat their customers like friends. Fourth, ONE uni-sex bathroom. WOW not a good combo with people drinking. Im hoping I just had a bad experience and am willing to give it another try.

Great location for hanging out with friends. The seats are comfy, the environment is friendly and it's not too loud. I love watching the disco lights and all of the trendy art pieces! Unisex bathroom but there's never much of a wait and it's very clean!!

This is a tiny bar in the heart of the Thornton Park hub-bub. It's across the street from Graffiti Junktion and Planet Smoothie. It's made up of two rooms. One has the bar and a couple of couches. The other has a tiny dance floor. They also have people standing around outside talking and a window to see outside. Both rooms have art up on the walls. The room with the dance floor has some strobe lights going on. One lone kid was dancing but it was early yet. It's more of a place to chat and hang with friends. It's dark and modern with black couches and a sleek dark bar with mirrors above it. They play great music, heard an interesting mixup of Michael Jackson. It had a lot of people on a Saturday night even though it is literally a hole in the wall. It's a nice addition to the area. For the other places that are quite large, like Dexters and Graffiti Junktion, this is a cool place because it could be more intimate. Also, it's not a restaurant like the other places so it's good just for a brew and to stand around and chat.

This is one of my favored spots in Thornton Park. I'm usually there fairly early in the evening and the vibe at that time is laid back and friendly. There's always something interesting on tap and the wine list is typically pretty skippy, too. Prices are fair and they run different specials throughout the week. The rotating artwork is fun, too.

What's not to love about this place? Art displayed everywhere, they serve you goldfish, it's affordable, and the service is great. I also enjoyed the music, they played some 80's, Portishead, Mazzy Star, ahhhhh! I really liked this joint. Will definitely go back :-)
