Au Gratin Potatoes should be REALLY be spelled: "AhhhhhhhGratin!" The cheeses used in this carb-fest are amazing. The potato was not quite mushy-done so it is left with a wee bit of "A la Resistance" similar to the -al dente pasta feel in their Lobster Mac n Cheese. What a delight! These guys are masters! - Um, okay, or their screw ups are simply delicious! Who cares if the results are amazing? The Delmonico paled to my earlier try of the Kona-crusted, Bone-in Sirloin. DO THE SIRLOIN! I may need to correct my earlier reviews accuracy cause the the creamed spinach was oddly seasoned with nutmeg this visit. Now I'm guessing if I got it right on the first review? What-ever its still a bit odd and distracting IMHO. I really should have read my first review before visiting again! LOL!

Very good food! I had the filet, a manhattan, and added an appetizer. My bill came to $100 (just for my order). I can't say that the food was entirely worth a week's woth of grocery shopping but I would come here again for a special occasion. The service is phenomenal!

The service here is really great! My rating is kind of based on that because everyone was really nice and accommodating to the large party I was with for magical dining. We were placed in a private room which was pretty cool. Felt like VIP which was awesomeee. Food in general is okay-good. I had the clam chowder, filet mignon and the chocolate cake. There was nothing spectacular about the clam chowder. I looked at the original pricing and it is definitely over-priced for what it is. I've had better at bahama breeze. Filet mignon was cooked perfectly. I had a bite of my sister's salmon and it was a bit dry. The chocolate cake was my favorite. Personally, I'm a huge chocolate lover so if you don't sway that way, I wouldn't get it.

I went here on a Thursday just as the sun was going down so I can sit outside. I had a Chilean Sea Bass with champagne or sparkling wine if I can remember. It was good however The Sea Bass at Puerto Medero is still my number one favorite which was more sweet as the one here was savory. Great service and atmosphere.

The service at this location was impeccable! Capital Grille's entire staff memorized my name. They were very professional, friendly, and personable. I wasn't really in the mood for red meat so I ordered the Sole and the grouper special. They tasted fine but nothing spectacular. It's really the service that made it all feel worthwhile! Next time, I'll try their steaks. I'm not sure if the Sole was supposed to have bones in it, but towards the end of the fish there were a good 10 bones in it which caught me by surprise. I discovered this later on at home while chowing down on my leftovers. At the end of our meal, our server Michael (great name), brought a rose to my lady friend which was a nice touch. It's definitely a fantastic place for a date! Overall, very impressive and I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a nice night out.

Typical standard steakhouse fare. You know the menu by heart if you've eaten in most chain overpriced, been around a long time steakhouses. We were a party of 6 for a birthday party. Cocktails and glasses of wine are expensive. The girls all had the Stoli Doli, I think they said this is the cocktail they're known for and they were good, $11 each. The guys had Kettel One martinis, $11 each. We ordered the prosciutto and mozzarella appetizers for the table. There are no detailed descriptions of the items on the menu and I made the mistake of assuming this was a cold appetizer. It's mozzarella wrapped with prosciutto and cooked somehow. It was Ok. We ate it all but the prosciutto was overcooked. We also had the calamari for the table. It was good. We would have liked some sort of sauce with it. We were happy to learn we had come during Orlando Magical Dining Month, 3 course meals from the usual menu for $33, that's a great deal. Hubby started with the clam chowder, not impressed, he mentioned Campbell's. I had the Cesaer salad, way too much lemon and no hint of much else like anchovy or egg in the dressing. I didn't finish it. Everyone either ordered the bone-in sirloin or filets. It was meat. It was fine although under-seasoned. One steak was returned for being way overcooked (ordered medium rare) but all others were delivered as ordered (medium rare). The sides were really the highlight of the meal. The green beans were fresh and tasty and the Sam's Mash Potatoes were really delish! We all ordered the cheesecake which I can't review because it's in my refrigerator. It looks good. They did decorate the table with confetti, gave my brother a birthday card and a nice dessert, all complimentary. That was a nice touch. I didn't sample the dessert but it was some type of coconut cream pie dessert which everyone else loved at the table except the birthday boy. He hates coconut. Service wasn't great. Our waiter Michael was personable and accommodating and did the best he could but it appeared his backup was the problem. Everyone seemed to being their best and were very nice but service seemed, I don't know how to describe it, spotty I guess. This was the birthday boy's choice but if I'm choosing a steakhouse, I can think of much better ones than this.

Came for lunch with my boyfriend after doing some light shopping at the mall and everything was top notch. Our server JFK (yes his name is John F Kennedy, i kid you not) was funny and charismatic. He made sure everything ran smoothly even if we were there just for lunch. My boyfriend ordered for us and we skipped appetizers for dessert and got - Balsamic House Salad - Mini tenderloin sandwiches with parmesan truffle fries - Ribeye Steak Sandwich with Caramelized Onions and Havarti Both were delicious and deeply satisfying. To end we had the Coconut Cream Pie - A vanilla crust layered with whipped and coconut creams SOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOD! It's become our favorite. Now every time we get a sweets craving we come here just for that rich creamy coconut.

Been in orlando a week staying at the waldorf astoria and I have to say the best service and best meal I've had was here, but I am pickier than most, prices were resonable for the atmosphere and quality of food and seevice

The filet was wonderful... 9/10. The regular fries were 5/10. The truffle fries were 3/10. The green beans were 4/10. The burgers were 7/10. The table bread was 7/10. The service was 8/10. The atmosphere was 2/10 (because cold air blasted us every time the front door opened.) The caprese salad was 10/10. I had a hard time getting soda refills but the wait staff was very friendly. Chef was able to customize my filet with Gorgonzola crust - very happy about that! All-in-all, I will go back for the steak. Lunch filet and one side was only $27.

The customer service here is above and beyond. Julie behind the bar makes you feel like a regular on your first visit. She knows her stuff about wines and any other liquor. Have been multiple times at the bar for there Wagyu burger (YUM!) during lunch. Have also been for special occasions in the dinning room and got the same amazing experience. Can't go wrong with any of the food options and they have an extensive wine list that is on an iPad. If you are at the mall don't eat at the food court, go see Julie you won't regret it!

We had a fabulous dinner here tonight with amazing service! I swear, it's rare for us to get both of those in one experience, so we were delighted. I had never been to a Capital Grille before, but my husband has, and he suggested we try it as part of Magical Dining Month. I'm so glad we did! The restaurant is pretty upscale and a little dressy, so we dressed up for the occasion just a bit. Our server, John, was EXCELLENT. So excellent that if you want a great service experience, I would recommend asking for him. He was so nice, attentive, and treated us like gold. He made the experience even nicer than it already was. Thank you, John! Since we were ordering off of the magical dining menu, we had some options. I chose the wedge salad, the 14 oz bone-in NY strip, and the cheesecake. My husband chose the clam chowder, 8 oz filet, and the flourless chocolate cake. My wedge salad was great and HUGE! We were both amazed by the size since we figured we would be getting a tiny portion since it's off the magical dining menu. Nope! I cut it up and shared the salad with my husband so he could try it, too. Absolutely delicious! Our steaks were perfectly cooked and so well seasoned. I can't tell you how many restaurants I've been to where it doesn't taste like the steak was seasoned at all...NOT here! I never once had to reach for salt or pepper because it was perfect. We both agreed that these were some of the best steaks we'd had in a while, and we've had the privilege of going to quite a few nice steakhouses in our lives. Finally, dessert! A little cheesecake with a bruleed top on it and a side of fresh berries, and a little chocolate cake that was super rich and definitely for someone who enjoys chocolate to the fullest! Definitely come try this place and ask for John! What a great experience.

This is a consistent chain white table cloth steakhouse. It's very similar to Ruth's Chris....for me! We had a pleasant experience at this location, outside the mall of millennia. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and manager. It was 7:15 on a Friday night with no reservation(which was no problem, they were not busy)! We ordered corn bisque and lobster bisque to start, both were delish. The lobster bisque had the most generous portion of lobster in a bisque I have ever seen. We ordered a 24 ounce porterhouse to share, au gratin potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and we shared a cheese cake for desert. Everything was wonderful and they even cut our steak for sharing! This is definitely a reliable choice for a nice steak!!!

Outstanding! Calamari with jalapeños . Chilean Sea Bass in a tomato broth. Two 4 oz Filets topped with lobster tails. Asparagus with lemon zest. Roses were prepared on the table as my date secretly asked. Complementary deserts at the end of the meal. Cheesecake on top of a vanilla wafer crust and a caramelized sugar on top with a strawberry purée surrounding and a flourless chocolate cake with a raspberry purée. Our Server Arnaud was witty and personable. Did not rush us and explained many of the items to us. Manager even stopped by the table to check up on our meal. 5 star experience and very memorable.

There's just six days left to enjoy The Capital Grille's Generous Pour. For a mere $28 you can enjoy all-you-care-to-drink wine from some of the most influential women in the wine world. Seven of California's great female winemakers and collaborators, including award-winning actress Drew Barrymore, have come together to celebrate women and wine as part of the restaurant's seventh annual Generous Pour event. The Generous Pour will celebrate the unique role women play in winemaking with this year's offerings. Now through August 30, for $28 per person with dinner, The Capital Grille will offer eight remarkable wines crafted, designed or owned by women from some of California's most acclaimed vineyards. We recently sat down for dinner at The Capital Grille, here's what we enjoyed and recommend tasting before The Generous Pour comes to a close. And PS it's MAGICAL DINING MONTH (insert happy dance here). So yes, that means you can enjoy this fabulous wine for $28 and a three course meal for $33. Why are you not making a reservation right now? Okay, back to the food and wine, here are some must taste dishes and drinks! Stoli Doli: The Capital Grille signature martini. Stolichnaya Vodka infused with fresh pineapple, chilled and served straight up. Ever see those large pineapple jars in the bar? It's not just for show, they are used to create the most fantastic cocktail. Lobster and Crab Cakes: A delightful crab cake filled with large chunks of yes...lobster AND crab. It's seaside heaven on a plate. Pan-Fried Calamari with Hot Cherry Peppers: I'm usually not a calamari connoisseur, but this steaming plate of battered goodness was enough to change my mind. A signature Capital Grille dish and one that pairs perfectly with Drew Barrymore's Pinot Grigio which is part of The Generous Pour lineup. Filet Mignon: The best filet in town. Nobody else compares. I'll let the imagery speak for itself with this plate. Bone-In Kona Crusted Dry Aged NY Strip with Shallot Butter + Porcini Rubbed Bone-In Ribeye with 15-Year Aged Balsamic: Two dry aged steaks that are tender, juicy and layered with impeccable flavor. Lobster Mac 'N' Cheese: Also known as my new BFF. It's the perfect accompaniment to, well, everything. This is a must order dish. Flourless Chocolate Espresso Cake + Coconut Cream Pie + Cheesecake with Seasonal Berries: All housemade and baked to perfection. It doesn't matter how full you are, there's always room for dessert, especially this dessert. Okay, that's enough of my Capital Grille gushing. Now go make a reservation!

How much do I like the Generous Pour? Do the math: number of times I went to a Cap Grille without GP in the past 12 months = 2. Number of times in the 5 weeks with GP? Three! Clearly, GP drew THESE customers in. There were 8 wines this year, all made by/owned/supervised by women - GREAT theme. I'm a "ladies' man" (but don't tell my wife!) The CALIBRE of some of the wines was astounding, the most notable being the Mt. Brave and the 2005 Arrowood Speciale, each retailing for $80 to over $100! I mean, do the math (again!), peeps. Here are wines that you can't even get for $28 a GLASS normally, but you can have as generous a pour as you want? The only thing I might love more than fine wine is great value. But therein lies also a bit of a sore point. The first time we went, the Arrowood being poured was not a 2005 (I think it was a 2011). When I asked, I was told that - no, they weren't 'out' - they never had any 2005. I asked about this when I called to make the reservation for round 2. At first, Christie (manager?) tried to tell me that they never promised that vintage, whereupon I just told her to watch the video. Not only do they prominently show the vintage, but they talked about it! She more than recovered by driving over to the I-Drive location to get what were supposedly the last two 2005 they had. So, yeah - rounds 2 & 3 were even more delightful than '1'. On the last Sunday on GP, when we could combine the magic of Magical Dining with GP, I had an especially beautiful piece of meat that was cooked almost perfectly (after I asked for the bone to be separated from the steak). It made for memorable dining. As usual, Leah provided great service, which made us glad to be back - New Year's eve 2014 didn't turn out nearly as nice.

What a great experience we had last night. We choose the "Magical Dinning" menu. The selection from that menu was awesome. Lots of choices. Our waiter Darrin was exceptional in his presentation and his service was outstanding.

The staff at this restaurant are amazing!! 5 stars especially for the service. They made my friends birthday dinner very memorable with a special dessert, great recommendations, and incredible patience as we sat on the patio talking. Thank you guys so much! The food was also excellent and even the appetizers and salads- the entrees were a little out of our budget- we're well portioned for a light meal. I recommend the lobster macaroni and cheese or tomato and mozzarella salad! This is also a great place for outdoor seating. I was worried that as part of a busy mall, there would be a lot of commotion, but the patio still had a secluded and cosy atmosphere.

Dined selecting off of Orlando Magical Dining Month menu - Clam chowder, filet mignon and cheesecake. Clam chowder from Campbell's soap? Filet mignon had no taste. Microscope need to see cheesecake. Service level was equivalent to Longhorn's, NOT high end steak house - bill served with desert, desert coffee - forget it! Wait staff were serving MANY patrons & way under staffed. Maybe regular menu is better but why find out since there are several great steak restaurants in the area?

Kind of disappointing. I went to Capital Grille as a early Valentines day dinner with my fiancee. She ordered the sea bass and enjoyed it. I ordered the filet mignon. I had asked for it medium. When it arrived I cut into it and it was rare. I cut a 2nd piece to make sure it was rare throughout and it was. I brought it up to the waitress who was very polite and offered to have it fixed. A few minutes later my steak came back to me. To my surprise it was the same steak I had cut into before. It seemed like they just put it back on the grill and seared the parts I had cut. When I cut into it again it was closer to a medium rare then medium. I knew if I sent it back again they would just recook the same piece of meat and it would become a super dry charred mess. So I just ate what I had. It was okay but for a $40+ steak I expected something better. We also ordered truffle fries that were good. For dessert we had the hazelnut cake. We were not prepared for how big it was going to be. It was a tasty piece of cake and we liked having left overs.

I love Capital grille but this location isn't as fantastic as the Pointe's. The food is still good but the service isn't as top notch. There is a rushed feeling in this location which might just be spillover from the mall.

  • Brenna P.

It's a fancy place... That's all I got. The servers were attentive and informative- definitely the best part of the experience. You're at the Millenia Mall so traffic and parking are terrible. The menu has some nice options, but not only was my co-worker's order wrong, but my steak was not prepared correctly. There are few things I'll get snooty about. But if you ask me how I want my steak? and you're charging THAT much? I expect you to deliver.

Big Props to Capital Grille!!!!. Thank you Capital Grille Millenia for making my wife's birthday lunch so special! The food was excellent and the service was spot on. I would have to recommend the sea scallops dish. It was cooked perfectly and so flavorful. Thanks again. I will be back soon!

This is your go to restaurant at Mall at Millenia when you are looking to wow your spouse, family, friends, business partners, list goes on. Seriously, this is high end dining. My husband and I would never normally eat at a place like this unless it was a special occasion. The menu has items as high as $51. Enough said. For this occasion, we were with a big group and it was Magical Dining Month. So, of course, we were going to take advantage of the exceptional offer of 3 courses for $33. How could you not? Our service was pretty exceptional. There were several servers assisting our party . They provided several Ipads for the table which had lists of their cocktails, wines and beers. As well as several baskets of assorted breads and butters for both sides of our table. I tried the Bohemian because champagne and berries just sounded refreshing. For my 1st course I went with the clam chowder which was delicious and even though it was in a smaller sized bowl, it was very warm and hearty and enough to hold me over into the main course. For my entrée, I went with the breast of chicken confit. It was a huge piece and the meat just tender and juicy. I loved the complimentary sides of mashed potatoes and French green beans that were provided as accompaniments to our meals. For dessert, our choices were between the cheesecake with berries and the flourless chocolate espresso cake. I went out of the box and ordered the chocolate option. It was creamy , mouthwatering deliciousness. I made sure that none of it went to waste. There were a few little things that I would suggest. We were seated at a long table and it was placed rather close to the booths behind us which made it a big ordeal when getting up to go the restroom or even passing by to get back into our seats. And then throw in a server walking by. Staff may want to think about moving the tables a few more inches away so that diners can comfortably get out of and in their seat. And apparently it took about 3-4x for a few couples in our party to get the correct bill. So there was some annoyance from their end. So what started off as a great dinner ended up as a pain by some . Personally, my husband and I had a great time and we will keep this place in mind for nicer places to dine in the area.

While I usually try to avoid national chains, I have had my fair shares of Capital Grilles across the northeast. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted by a professionally trained staff and taken to an equally impressively decorated dining ambience. The menu is exceptional and most of the entrees are well prepared. Price is what you can expect from an upscale chain such as Ruth Chris. I would recommend the Delmonico steak and pass on the Porterhouse.

  • Alden K.

Great food as usual. Excellent service. If you want even better service go to the Capital Grille on I Drive. Filet is not the best cut of steak. Try the ribeye, so much flavor, the best thing in the menu. Alternatively, for a leaner cut, try the bone in sirloin. This isn't an easy cut to find. The reduction that comes with it is so melt in your mouth fantastic.

My boyfriend and I were in the area and finally decided to give Capital Grille a try. I must say, overall it was a great experience. The best part of the experience was the service from Stan Walker. Absolutely outstanding! He was very nice and helpful in explaining the different dishes and giving recommendations. I also appreciate him taking the time to go into detail of how some of the sides we ordered were prepared. He definitely went above and beyond. Now for the food! We started out with the Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella with Vine Ripe Tomatoes. I really enjoyed the flavors of this dish, especially the balsamic. I will say that it is quite rich so I definitely recommend sharing with the other people you come with. For our main course we decided to get the Double Cut Lamb Rib Chops and a bone-in filet they had as an off menu special. For our sides we went with the Sam's Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Smoked Bacon and the French Beans with Heirloom Tomatoes. Overall I would rate the food as good, but nothing too crazy. I did enjoy the filet as it was simply seasoned but had really nice flavor. The lamb was good but a bit dry; however, the sauce served with it was quite interesting (a cherry mostarda) and paired well with the dish. As for the sides, the mashed potatoes were our favorite hands down. Simple ingredients but man were they that guilty pleasure good. We didn't care for the brussels because it was too acidic from the sherry vinegar for our taste. I liked the green beans better, but they still had a bit of acidity from vinegar as well that I could have done without. We finished off the night with two dessert tastings, compliments of Stan: Cheesecake with Fresh Seasonal Berries and the Flourless Chocolate Espresso Cake. Let me just say wow. I was a huge fan of the cheesecake. I've always been a cheesecake lover so I knew I'd probably be partial to this one but it was better than I expected! I love the brûlée topping. I think it really added that extra touch. Definitely recommend this dessert! As for the chocolate cake, my boyfriend was more of a fan. I though it was good, but it's a bit too rich for my taste since its flourless and therefore more dense. If you are a chocolate lover though, this is the dessert for you! Overall a really nice experience and I'm glad we decided to give it a try.

We had a great dinner during their Magical Dining dinners. The food was good. 3 of us liked how the steak was done; we did have 1 that the outside of her Filet Mignon was a little burnt. However, the inside was great. Spencer did a great job with his service.

My friend and I decided we wanted to tried the magical dining this month.. The capital grille was our choice.. As soon as we got to the entrance we were made very welcomed.. We had a table at the back of the restaurant.. Very nice. Our server was extremely friendly.. She went beyond to make our nite a special one..She went thru the menus with us.. So cool that it's all on an ipad...( she is new to capital grille team). She went out of her way to get answer for us if she doesn't know.. Food were delicious!!! Great portions.. We couldn't eat it all.. We picked the cheesecake for dessert.. Wow.. Nice crust.. Very light n yummy.. I ate it all up.. Not a big dessert person:) The compliment shot that we got from our server was delicious.. And the red rose at the end of the nite was a nice touch to the evening.. Would definitely be back.. Highly recommend ppl to go there during magical dining month.. Worth every penny..

Nothing like Orlando Magical Dining Month for a visit to The Capital Grille. Only $33 per person included bread, salad, steak, mashed potatoes, green beans and dessert. The Capital Grille is not only one of the best values during this citywide dining promotion, but they offer plenty of different entree choices and the quantity of food on the table is more than enough. Service was as good as you would expect at this quality of restaurant and every bite was fresh and full of flavor. Our steaks were also cooked to our desired temperature. While we sat in the smaller, yet comfortable dining room, I would not hesitate to return simply for drinks and a small plate or dessert in the bar area. It is really spacious and has a very attractive, modern look to it. Because of all the other neighboring restaurants, self-parking is not the easiest during dinner hours on weekends...but finding a decent space was worth the wait for this particular dining experience.

What a great steakhouse! The Capital Grill is very comparable to flemings but TCG is an overall better restaurant. The service isn't short of amazing, and the portions are surprisingly enormous. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a high-end/expensive establishment with the food and service to match. Expect to spend about $60-80 a person.

The absolutely best Lobster Bisque I have ever tasted. Several nice chunks of lobster meat and very creamy. Nice outdoor seating area and great service from our server Mike. Will definitely be back.

The attention the staff pays to details only adds to the overall experience in this place . The wife and I had an amazing experience paired up with good wine and great food. It may get pricey if you go there expecting an " outback" experience . Go, spend the extra money and enjoy the great offerings.

I went here on a department outing for work - shout out to my boss! It was a wonderful experience with attentive waiters, great food with fresh ingredients and lovely decor. I started off the New Year right with the salmon dish for lunch. It was amazing and they even made the vegetables yummy! We skipped dessert, but the choices did sound pretty good. Do note, parking can be a little tight around the holidays at the mall. So be prepared to walk a little further than you expected. But otherwise, one of the top restaurants in Orlando.

I personally prefer this location over IDrive. It's fun to go in & sit at the bar, high tops or outside. My favorite lunch items are the lobster roll or aged balsamic burger with truffle fries. It does not disappoint! For dinner my favorite side is the lobster mac & cheese. Stoli Doli is also delicious. Service is always on point.

Was in town to celebrate my daughters birthday. We made a last minute reservation on Yelp for a table. They made the table was made up with birthday confetti and offered a free desert for the birthday girl. the staff was friendly and professional. The meal was as ordered and the best concoction of macaroni cheese and lobster ever. I would definitely recommend this establishment to any one for a try.

I brought my friend here for a birthday and the food was spot on and the service was great!! Everything was prepared perfectly except my friend ordered a French onion soup which he thought was going to be served in the crock but, the server said he took it upon himself to order the smaller one in a cup. French Onion soup should always be served in a crock anyway. Besides that, will return again and again.

Need a cocktail in the middle of that orlando shopping spree.... This is the place. Amazing cocktails. Thank you Julie and Nicole for amazing service, great takes on the classics, and on point hospitality. A surprisingly great cocktail program! I will never say no to another trip to millennia, as long as I can hang with the amazing bar staff at capital grill.

Just in time to celebrate National Hamburger Month, The Capital Grille has added a variety of all new burgers to the lunch menu at its Millenia location. Since the Capital Grille is all about quality beef, you can be assured that we are talking about gourmet quality Wagyu beef burgers with a variety of premium toppings. With ingredients ranging from Kona Crust and Shallot Mayo to a 15 Year Aged Balsamic with Wild Mushrooms, these are not your standard establishment burgers. Along with the already popular The Grilles Signature Cheeseburger, The Capital Grille's burger lineup is pretty impressive. The new additions include: Kona Crusted Wagyu Burger with Shallot Mayo Wagyu Cheeseburger with Fried Egg and Crisp Onion Wild Mushroom Wagyu Cheeseburger with 15 Year Aged Balsamic Oscar Style Wagyu Burger with Jumbo Lump Crab Cake and Bearnaise

I feel like I need to hurry and write this review while tonight's events are still fresh in my mind! I have to agree with Todd W, Orlando magical dining month is the time to come to Capital Grille especially if you've never been. The 14 oz bone-in Sirloin alone is normally $44 dollars a la cart (During magical dining month you get sides included) But because of the special menu this month, I opted for the mixed green salad, bone in sirloin, and the flourless chocolate-espresso cake, all for $33. To drink I ordered Markham Merlot because they were out of the Catena Malbec which I think would have been perfect with the meal. The salad was ok, nothing out of the ordinary that I couldn't make at home. The dry-aged steak was delicious but...I guess I was expecting more flavor. I kept comparing it to another well loved high-end restaurant that makes killer steaks (and is slightly less expensive). My favorite item hands down was the chocolate espresso cake, wow; it really was an incredible ending to a fine meal. The ambiance is great, and so was the service although towards the end there was a bit of confusion with the bill for some people at our table. This was my first time at Capital Grille and I can definitely see the allure however; I find that in Orlando (The place in Winter park next to Trader Joe's) You have a variety of places that offer terrific ambiance, fantastic service, and really good food that might even be slightly cheaper. I'd go again for sure though, but probably not until magical dining month again or just for drinks and dessert.

So disappointing.... I'm not even sure what happened. With all the great reviews this place has here on Yelp and Open Table....were we the odd one out??? Are we that unlucky??? I usually don't have this type of terrible experience because the Yelp reviews are pretty spot on and we are NOT picky eaters. We went there on a Saturday with reservation at 9:00 pm, for what was our 14 year wedding anniversary. Let me start by saying this place is extremely expensive so we were definitely expecting high quality super delicious food, out of this world experience. We got not even close to that... The bread basket was the best thing this place had...so we thought we were in for a great experience... We started with an appetizer of Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella with Vine Ripe Tomatoes this was pretty good except for the crostini bread, in my opinion it was too cheesy, but my husband like it. ok, still good...yeay! Then my husband ordered an onion soup. It was ok, not terribly bad, but nothing special. We've had better in many other places. For our main course my husband ordered the Delmonico Steak and the server recommended if he wanted that he should go with the Porcini Rubbed Delmonico. He ordered it medium raw. This steak has a porcini mushroom crust but it turns out the crust was charred...with strong burnt taste, and when he cut it open it was raw and not even warm inside. I had the Kona Crusted Dry Aged Sirloin with Shallot Butter based on all the good reviews here on Yelp where people talk about how delicious this is. My steak was cooked as I ordered and soft, the butter over it tasted great but the taste of the steak by itself was nothing fantastic, it was ok. For the sides we had the Au gratin potatoes, which were not good at all. Bland and tasted like I could've make them at home with some cheese sauce. We had these potatoes at Del Frisco's for our anniversary last year and they were delicious, we couldn't stop eating them... At Capital Grille we barely finished one spoon serving :-/ We also had the lobster mac'n cheese (to what the server replied "great choice") ....the taste of the cheese was very good, I just wish it had more...there wasn't enough cheese, the whole pasta should be covered with cheese but just the middle had enough to feel cheesey. AND the worst part, it only had ONE piece of lobster about 2" long, that's it..these sides are called "to share" .... Anyway, so at this point we are ready to leave, my husband has had enough... but I insisted we should try the dessert...I mean, who messes up dessert? at least we can leave with one last good thing from this place... The server brought the dessert menu and it took him more than seven minutes to come back for the order...I was about to tell my husband to leave when he appeared. We ordered the Chocolate hazelnut cake...and unfortunately the cake was dry. It had some white sauce around it and we thought that might help...yawk, that did not taste like anything at all..... We are not complaining people, so we did not say anything, we just paid and leave.....but then we kick ourselves for not saying anything because honestly after paying almost $200 for the two of us without drinks or tip, it was just unacceptable. Service wasn't even that good either to at least make up for it a little bit. The server didn't even ask how our food was, not even once. I will definitely not go back there ever, and I would not recommend this place.

Whenever you come to Capital Grille you will not be disappointed. It's a staple. It's your typically chain steak house - so no matter what you get you will be happy. I would however recommend getting the bone in filet mignon if it's offered (sometimes it's only offered as a special). Top that with the blue cheese sauce and you will be in heaven! Oh wait don't forget the side of parmesan fries. Now you are in heaven.

Sorry, guys, but you get one star from me. Your food is good, your service is impeccable, but you get one star. Why? BECAUSE YOU HAVE CHILEAN SEABASS ON YOUR MENU. It is not even slightly news that Chilean Seabass is overfished. TAKE IT OFF YOUR MENU.

Can't wait for the Kona encrusted sirloin steak, my absolute favorite! Well I certainly wasn't disappointed. The steak was tender with lots of great flavor. The service was attentive and the whiskey sour was so tasty that I had to have two!

Went for dinner, wanted to check out the new location. Ordered the sea bass, with a different sauce then the one that was listed and it was absolutely amazing. Spencer was the server and he was very knowledgeable, helpful, professional and nice.

We made a reservation on OpenTable to go here for our anniversary. The staff went well beyond our expectations to make this an incredible experience. There were three stems of roses, a handful of rose pedals, and a hand written note on the table when we arrived. They also made a complimentary dessert plate with cheesecake, chocolate mousse, more roses, and "Happy Anniversary" stenciled in dusted chocolate. Highly recommend the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella and the filet cooked kona style. This is our favorite restaurant.

Let me begin by saying we visit the Capital Grille and Point Orlando frequently, so I know what to expect. Our service last night at this new location was so poor that I was honestly confused. My hypothesis is our server is battling a serious Candy Crush addiction, which has made him unable to properly attend his tables. Also, when they seat you in the lounge, realize that it is in fact the restaurant equivalent of purgatory. We had to ask for utensils, and plates for the bread, and our glasses were empty for most of the meal. We weren't offered a wine list when we were seated, which I thought was strange, so when the server eventually came to take our drink orders I requested one. It took a long time, but he brought out an iPad with the wine list. With all that technology, you think they could sync their inventory with he iPad, but no, after we ordered he came back to say they didn't have the wine we ordered. Our server was interesting and extremely polite. I think he genuinely thought he was giving us good service. I kind of feel bad for him. Our food was good, but not great. We ordered oysters and they were actually quite small. Our salads had way too much green onion, it was a little overwhelming. We all ordered some variation of a filet, and they were all cooked to perfection and amazing. That at least was wonderful. I ordered the flourless chocolate cake. It had a very thick layer of cocoa powder on top, which resulted in my reenacting one of those "cinnamon challenge" videos on the internet. Seriously, it had so much powder that I started coughing and had cocoa powder coming out my nose. And no water to wash it down with. Or wine, I only got the one glass of wine, he never asked if I wanted more. More wine would have made this disaster much better.

Had a birthday dinner here Saturday with a party of 6. Capital Grill has always been a celebration mainstay with very good food and over the top service.Have eaten here no less than 10 times at 5 different locations so think I'm a good judge of their quality and service expectations. We enjoyed the magical dinning month special which 3 courses for $33 and they were very nice portions , we also enjoyed calamari and prosciutto wrap matz that was fantastic and the ladies loved the cocktails and wine. Here's the issue - Can I have a fork please ? The service was not up to par regardless of the price. The server had 5 tables and his team was a mess. Brought wrong plates to wrong people , had to ask for more water ? One steak well done that was ordered med rare then had to almost chase down the waiter as everyone's food sat. They brought a nice complimentary dessert but never asked if we like coconut would of much rather just had ice cream. Watched the server drop calamari all over the floor as he attempted to serve then kick it under the table.took forever to get the check then settle.etc,etc......... Food 4 stars - service 2 stars I'll be back to cap grill just not this one

I'll admit it, I love the capital grille. I've tried most of the menu and have never been disappointed. This location is fairly new and very nice. Its located in the front of the millennia mall right next to the cheesecake factory. The dining room is very elegant and the staff is always uber professional. Last weekend my wife and I stopped by for brunch with some friends. Our acquaintances ordered bloody marys. I was told they were fantastic. As the server was setting the drinks on the table he spilled one on my friend's gf. I felt awful for her but the manager didn't skip a beat. She came over to the table and offered to go into the Mall and purchase her new pants. Our friend declined but I thought that was a pretty fantastic gesture. As always the meal was great. I had the Wild mushroom wagyu burger with 15 year aged balsamic. 15 year old balsamic? You put that on a dead armadillo and I would ask for seconds. The burger was perfectly cooked and those parmesan truffle fries are always great. I am a new father so it's family friendly is important. This restraint does have a family restroom so you can attend to your little ones. Very convenient. Great food and service.

Wonderful place to go for a night of fine dining. The cuisine is exceptionally well prepared. Jean Philippe, our waiter, help to make a special evening. Their price for some of the single malt scotch is up in the stratosphere, however. The chef made some changes to the menu bar special request - very accommodating. I wish we had one of these in St. Louis. I'm surprised that it's this good given that it is a chain.

I really don't know if I can say enough about our dining experience tonight . Let's start with drinks. They currently offer an interactive iPad wine list. It shows all their specialty drinks as well. Nice touch. I went for the classic Stoli Doli! It's Stoli vodka marinated in fresh hand cut pineapples for 5-7 days. What a great cocktail! I ordered the sliced filet. It was cooked spot on and had great flavor. I chose the corn as my side item, to share. Hindsight, their mash potatoes are so simple, yet so delish. Try the mash. For dessert, we had a sampling of items. While they all were tasty, the coconut lime pie was top notch! It has the perfect texture and sweetness to finish a great meal. The rose that the server, John, gave all the ladies was a classy touch. Way to take it to a dining experience, not just a meal! Kudos!

I love EVERYTHING about this place ! Out server Chelsea was adorable ! We had the most perfect way to start our Father's Day celebration thanks to the capital grill. We will surely come back! Ordered for out daughter the lobster roll and clam chowder, husband got lobster and crab burger with truffle fries and I ordered the cheeseburger with side salad and onion soup. All casual bc we were kind of in a hurry but wow ... Simple was taking to the next level of deliciousness. ... Thinking on planning an event here soon!

I was expecting this place to be as great as I heard. I was incredibly disappointed by the lack luster service, the lack of dress code, the basic fundamentals of serving food on the right take from the left. I counted servers reaching over us 7 times, one lady handed the appetizers to my mother from behind my sister in a lateral hand off, the only guy on point was the water guy. slow serving times, of the drinks, appetizers, and entries, the waiter didn't ask if I was interested in a side dish (figuring potatoes or veg would be standard) but I was wrong and he dropped the ball. also the waiter, unpolished, his confidence in knowing the menu, is lack of proper command of English,it was what I would expect from a chain restaurant. the manager never made his rounds to ensure an enjoyable evening, and he wasn't dressed to impressed. also. customers that were seated after us were already elbow deep in food and drink before we even had salads. THE FOOD WAS EXQUISITELY DONE,but the staff just didn't hold up to the bargain making it a waste of time and money. I wouldn't recommend this place fr special occasions like birthdays Anniversaries. we also filled out the survey online and they never responded with a phone as promised by the online survey. I guess they made their $500 why bother.

Greatly overrated chain steakhouse... Nothing special on the menu, overpriced for what you get, rude staff. As upscale chain restaurants go, Ruth's Chris has far better steaks. Kres chophouse is also a better choice.

Today was my first time ever trying capital grille and it was more than I ever expected. Our server Franco gave us a real dinning experience. He explained how they inspect and prepare their foods. And I must say everything he said and suggested was spot on delicious. We started with the calamari which for 2 was to much food. Perfect for larger groups sharing. It tasted great mixed with all kinds of hot pickled peppers. Trust me it tastes better than it sounds. And it was really good. And that's coming from a person that is not a fan of fried food or spicy food. (Not really spicy unless you eat the peppers which I did and still didn't find to hot) We started with soups clam chowder and the lobster bisque. Both loaded with meat and very tasty. The lobster bisque was my favorite of the two. Our entrees were the 14 oz steak and the scallops. The scallops are served with couscous was out of this world fantastic! Simple, fresh, just absolutely delicious. Basically licked my plate clean. Needless to say if you like scallops you must try this dish. Truffle fries were very good and snow peas were our sides. For desert we had espresso and shared a cheesecake and it was one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had (ricotta cheese based so extra fluffy) with a nice graham cracker crust and a flambeed top. Must do: Go to capital grille Ask for Franco Definitely try the bisque, scallops, and cheesecake And then thank me ;)

This Capital Grille is very nice inside. The servers are great and the food is yummy. A little overpriced given that you could get some more interesting options for the same price from a local restaurant, but still great quality nonetheless.

Had lunch at the Millenia Mall location. We ordered the three plates meals. Had the cauliflower soup, scallops and green beans. Also, the clam chowder, chimichurri sirloin and parmesan fries. All were wonderful. Our server, Julie was extremely attentive and very pleasant. She really made our first time nice. She even treated us to their delicious flourless chocolate espresso cake--I swear it melts in the mouth! We'll definitely be going back, and we'd even like to try the International location too.

The Delmonico ribeye with balsamic is excellent. Creme of corn was awesome. Creme Brûlée was tasty. Skip the seafood platter appetizer. Not sure how much it cost but it is probably overpriced. Lobster bisque was ok.

I received an invitation to the Millenia Capital Grille's pre-opening event and had not been to one before- so why not check it out? Talk about pleasantly surprised. The dining room and bar are dark but inviting. The hostesses were lovely. We had to wait about 10 minutes for our table, but went to the bar to grab drinks and scope things out. Mixed drinks (Adults Only Arnold Palmer and a Cosmo) were probably the worst part of the evening- they were a bit watery and overpriced. (more expensive than The Courtesy and the bartender was nowhere near as talented as the mixologists there). We were seated and our server (Jose) introduced himself and brought us a basket of different kinds of bread (onion, pumpernickel, and flatbread) - all were excellent! He also delivered the wine list- in iPad form. They have close to 300 wines in their cellar and I found that the iPad format made it super easy to find something I wanted. You could sort by the glass/bottle, by varietal, or search for something inparticular... any way you want to view. For a salad, I had the Bleu Cheese Wedge with Bacon- very good! The bacon helped to make the blue cheese not quite so overpowering. Steaks, though, are what this place does and it's obvious that they really know what they're doing. I had a dry aged kona-crusted bone-in sirloin (wow, that's a mouthful) with shallot butter. It was probably the best steak I've ever had in my life. 2" thick, tender, and filled with flavor. Jose suggested a wonderful wine to go along with my meal (he was wonderfully delightful and knowledgeable). We wrapped up our meal with a Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee with fresh berries- again, spot on. A few notes: it's expensive, but you get what you pay for. Gents should probably wear a sportcoat. (business casual at the least). Come expecting to spend a good amount of time enjoying your meal. We were there 2 hours and I felt like we ate quickly.

Great place. The ambiance of the entire place is very classy. Very clean and inviting. The staff is so well trained to acknowledge each and every customer. Very well done. And their attention to detail is amazing. My wife has a few food allergies and the waiter was so accommodating to her weird allergies. When the food came we had one question about the sauce and the waiter was so great he re-assured us that he thought it was fine but would check with the cook. He took the food just to be sure. The cook Jason came out and was so apologetic and remade the entire dish without the sauce. But the way in which he communicated with us was so customer friendly. Jason is a fantastic chef. Then a lady came over to apologize, I mean you can't get more customer friendly than this organization. We know my wife's food allergies are complicated and we have trouble at most restaurants, but they made us feel like we were normal. Thanks so much Jason and crew!!

I go here all the time and always have an excellent experience. I usually get the salmon with a side of the garlic mashed potatoes! When I'm with a group of course a bottle or two of champagne is in order. They are all so professional. I took my parents for their anniversary, I called in an hour before and when we got there they had rose petals on the table and a Happy Anniversary card from the staff! Details are very important here! Try the bacon wrapped prosciutto! It's divine!

Stopped in for lunch on a business trip. Awesome bartender, let me be her taste tester for a drink. Had the wagyu burger Oscar, absolutely delicious, just enough bernaise sauce and plenty of chunks of crabmeat on it. Truffle fries rocked too. Extremely friendly and well trained staff, definitely not cheap, but that's not the idea here. Probably the best chain experience I'd ever had.

I will start with WOW. It was all of that and then some. I would actually give it about 4.25 stars but the scale does not allow for that. I needed a place to take someone on a very special birthday. I knew she loves lobster. I had never been to a Capital Grille but it was the top choice I saw when I searched Yelp. It was a great choice. The Lobster was only $48.00, but it does not come with side items, you must purchase them separately. The service was OUTSTANDING! Our server was Jennifer Favaro, we learned that she is a corporate trainer for the company and I can see why. When we arrived they used the birthday girl's name and led us back to the private area where only about 7 other tables are set up. Our table was laid out and decorated for the occasion complete with a handwritten card. I ordered the Lobster for her and I had the Grouper. Both were awesome. We went to The Palm restaurant at Universal in June and had their lobster, and it was not nearly as good as the one we had at The Capital Grille. We had the sautéed mushroom side dish and they were about a 6.5 on a 10 Scale. The sautéed spinach came with the Grouper and it was about a 9 out of 10. Very flavorful! Did I say the service was excellent? We ordered a bottle of wine that we liked, cost, $30.00. We actually got it because it was one we liked. The rest of the wines were very pricey. Because I made reservations and told them it was a special occasion, they threw in the crem brûlée with blackberries, raspberries, and a sliced strawberry. I have never liked crem brûlée, this made me change my mind. It was very good. The total bill came to $137.00 and we enjoyed every penny of it. The bathroom was in pristine condition and that made it feel even better. Nothing like a clean, spotless rest room to wash your hands in. I almost forgot, they took a photo of us with their own camera and gave us a nice photo as well. Did I say Jennifer Favaro is the best wait staffer I have ever had? She was awesome. My only knock of this establishment is the fact that it's located at the mall. It has a private exterior entrance, but it is at the mall.

Best food ever! You may have to pay extra but its a classy place and the prices keep the rift raft away. I love kids but went to one place and the mom let her kid run all over and go up to other people asking for their food. But you wont go in the capitol if you cant afford it and if you can afford it you wont be bringing your kids. Great place! Great service.

Dined here for my birthday dinner and everything was amazing from start to finish. Rose petals, confetti, and candle light were placed on the dining table. Service was professional, cheerful, and excellent. The Kona crusted steak with creamed spinach was delicious and heaven in my mouth. Complimentary mini desserts of cheesecake and chocolate cake and to top it off a long stemmed rose to take home. I highly recommend this place!

I was eagerly anticipating this location opening up. I knew it would be more for locals than the I-Drive location and I also love the Jacksonville-Town Center location one. I selected this Capital Grille to take my good friend out for her birthday. She had never eaten the food and I knew that the adult atmosphere would be a real treat for her. When I made the reservations online, I stated that it was for her birthday. I was at least hoping for a cupcake and a candle but got so much more When we arrived, They asked if we wanted to grab a cocktail at the bar and within a few mins there were two huge champagne flutes with raspberries. The bar staff said Happy Birthday and gave us roses. If CG didn't do anything for the rest of the night, that would have been perfect all on it's own. Once time for dinner, I noticed a family of restless toddlers come in so I asked the hostess discretely if we could not be placed next to kids. They accommodated that request with no problem or attitude. We were seated in a section that was a separate room that was filled with adults/couples only. WIN/WIN. Our table had birthday themed confetti and a birthday card waiting for my friend from CG. She squealed with delight and I was very glad that her first experience with CG was already above and beyond anything she expected. FOOD: I ordered oysters to start and asked if they were willing to make them Rockefeller style. I had no issues. Some places are strict with their "no steam, no alterations" and CG-- no problem. My friend and I split a Caesar salad that they split- plated in the back (again, I appreciate that because some places stress that they can't or won't do that). My friend had the filet and I chose the tenderloin and lobster chef special. Two 4oz filets with the lobster tail split and placed on both pieces of tenderloin, The chef also placed a dash of Old Bay and garlic on the lobster as I requested (yet again no problem with special requests). We ordered a bottle of the Cartlidge & Browne Merlot to go with our meal and the pairing was amazing. The night ended with my friend getting a chocolate mousse cake and I snuck in for a little piece. Absolutely delicious. All of this wonderful food wouldn't have meant anything without the wonderful service to accompany it. The bartender Shannon was lively and cool. Franco attended us like we were rockstars. These two people made the CG experience be as amazing as it was. I can't wait to return to this place.

This was the second visit for my boyfriend and I at this location. We first visited during opening weekend and had such a fabulous time that we decided to come back. We previously made reservations, and were seated right away upon arriving. Our server was friendly and attentive. He took a moment to share the specials for the evening and made a few drink suggestions. We both decided to start with the "Stoli Doli" ($16), their pineapple vodka infused signature martini. I really enjoyed if but my boyfriend did not care for his so he ordered a "Bohemian"($15), a fruit infused champagne cocktail. We previously had this during our first visit here and enjoyed it, although I liked the Stoli Doli better. For our appetizer, we ordered the "Lobster and Crab Cakes" ($19). If you like lobster, you will enjoy these as there was plenty of it. The meat to filler ratio was just right. They should never change this recipe. Moving on to our main entrees, I ordered the "Seared Tenderloin with Butter Poached Lobster Tail" ($49) and my boyfriend ordered the special for the night which was a 10 oz Filet and 1lb of Alaskan King Crab ($49). This is where we encountered our first problem. I asked for my meat to be cooked "medium" however when they brought it out it was clearly medium well throughout and slightly tough. I have no complaints about the lobster - it was delicious. My boyfriend's filet unfortunately was cold and quite sterile looking, the crab however was perfect. We shared our observations with our server who immediately apologized and said that he would notify the manager. A moment later, a manager came over to apologize and informed us that both our steaks would be re-done and served to our liking. We thanked him and nibbled on our seafood in the meantime. After about ten minutes, the server re-appeared with not only our steaks, but both entire entrees - as in more lobster and crab again! He told us that he felt it was only right that they re-cook everything over again to make up for the mistake. For this, I give them two thumbs up. Both steaks were PERFECT the second time around. To end our evening, we ordered the "Classic Crème Brûlée" ($9) which we tried during our first visit and enjoyed. Like the last time, it was a hit and devoured in 3 minutes flat. I only wished that they would include more fresh berries. My final thoughts? Restaurants are run by people, not robots, so mistakes are bound to happen however it's how those mistakes are handled that can make or break the relationship with the customer. We were very happy with the way they handle their mistake - it says a lot about how much they value their patrons. It's also the attention to small details that I make me want to come back. For example, the servers share their business cards with you, the chef personally signs your take-home bags, and our server from the first visit even remembered our faces and came over to say hello. It all makes for a memorable experience. I would not recommend Capital Grille for families with young children due to the atmosphere (bar/alcohol being served) not to mention the prices however, this is a fantastic spot for couples, business meetings and private events. We look forward to returning again in the future.

Great place for a meal. Enjoyed a late lunch at the bar on a Saturday afternoon while watching the game. Nice atmosphere with very friendly and attentive staff. Food was delicious and the Prosciutto Wrapped Mozzarella with Vine Ripe Tomatoes appetizer is fantastic... I order it every time I'm at a "CG".

A 5-Star review in my view is difficult to earn for a chain restaurant; But the quality of the food and the over-the-top quality of their service earned it for sure. This was a private room event for approx 16. The room was cleverly set up with 4 half-moon tables to make the most of the space. The event required interactive business discussion from all four tables (not staring at a powerpoint screen) so, it was crucial to keep the room quiet and serve the meals with as little distraction as possible. Simply put, these folks are absolute pros. At one point they rounded up 6 extra servers so they could make one 'fast' swoop through the room with the entrees. They were in and done in around a minute. They heard one person at a table had a birthday coming soon: gift bag and rose hit the table shortly with a birthday card.... awesome. Kona crusted steak is beyond good. I'd suggest ordering the shallot butter on the side: The dry rub had such an amazing texture I would have liked a bigger portion of the steak without the butter on top.

Food was good. Horrible customer service by a manager nonetheless. The weekend before Christmas we went in for lunch and were given a $50 gift card to use at our next visit. Went today for lunch and presented gift card at the end of our meal. A manager came over to say that the gift cards were given out by mistake. She said they were only supposed to be for 25 dollars, are only good for dinner and expire February 9, 2014. Please note: the gift said it was for $50 did not limit it to use at dinner only and there was no expiration date at all! Instead of saying they screwed up and eating the 42 dollar lunch she went round and round with us. At first she Offered to apply $25 towards our lunch then 10 minutes later she paid the bill. Won't go back to this location again!!! When airlines screw up and sell round trip tickets to Hawaii for 30 bucks they honor them bc that's their mistake! Take note capital grille millenia.

This was our second visit. Went the same as the first: way overcooked, dry steaks with little flavor. I didn't write a review after the first visit because they were newly opened and I wanted to give them a second chance. I don't think I'll be going back. They do not know how to cook steaks, and for the price you pay, that's ridiculous. I get much better steaks at Del Friscos, Fleming's, and even Outback! I like medium but got well done! (Seriously?!) and husband likes medium rare but got medium (not acceptable at an establishment like this). Service and drinks were good. Manager was nice about it. Overall, very, very disappointing - twice.

I have never been to a Capital Grille location before, but I must say they exceeded my expectations. I went with a friend for my Birthday dinner last night and the staff went above and beyond to make it a special occasion. We were warmly greeted by the hostesses before heading to the bar area for a quick drink before our meal. The bartender was wonderful (I believe her name was Shannon). She was attentive and very pleasant. Next, we were taken to our table, which was decorated with confetti and even had a Birthday card from the staff! The dining room was dark, but made for a great ambience. They had a great wine list to choose from and it was hard to make a decision for the main course because everything sounded delicious. Everything from the drinks, to the bread, to the caesar salad was great. For the main course, I went with the classic filet mignon while my friend had filet with lobster, both of which were cooked perfectly and tasted great. Aside from the great food and atmosphere, I have to say that our server, Franco, truly made every effort to make our experience memorable. He was delightful and very knowledgable. I couldn't have asked for a better Birthday dinner experience! With that said, I would definitely go back an recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Flawless from start to finish. Our server, JFK, was truly THE BEST. He was attentive and charming as can be! Walking in, the hostesses were incredibly welcoming and let us check out the menu before we asked to be seated. We started off with a free taste of the Stoli Doli (pineapple infused vodka) and tried a couple other drinks with dinner--all were excellent. But the real star was the food! Even the bread and butter was impressive, and it was all uphill from there. We tried a variety of seafood and meat dishes, and everything was perfect and beyond compare. Poor Kres and Del Frisco's... we have definitely found a new favorite. And to think we found this place by accident while doing some shopping! I highly, highly recommend you check out Capital Grille. We will be back tomorrow with a friend visiting from out of town and can't wait!

We consistently have the best dinners at this restaurant. As soon as you walk in there is someone friendly to greet you. The food is extremely high quality and they bend over backwards to make sure you enjoy it and the over all experience. We say on the patio and had Shayne as our main server with help from Adriana. They were WONDERFUL. Both the best servers we have ever had. Shane was extremely attentive and extra considerate with our meals. It really does make a huge difference in a dinning experience. Suni and Brian, both manager came during our meal to make sure we were having a wonderful experience (which we obviously were or I wouldn't be on here blabbing away!). If you are a tourist in the area or just a loyal shopper, like my mother and I, you have to stop in. The experience is really worth it! (You can come dressy or casual- another plus!)

I visited this place on a suggestion from a close friend. I tried the porcini rubbed Delmonico, lobster Mac n cheese accompanied by an excellent wine...all was excellently recommended by our server Steve, Who was a knowledgeable person that provided amazing service. Will definitely visit again.

Very warm and friendly service. Fried calamari was tasty but too much batter, not crispy. Lobster Mac and cheese was excellent...for about the first three bites. Afterwards, very salty and rich. Only three lobster pieces and the macaroni was chewy and doughy. The Delmonico steak was, disappointingly, not aged. However, still tender and cooked perfectly (med rare). I did not care for the beef flavored gravy, which made me wonder why an establishment with such a reputation for fine steaks would ever try to enhance the beef flavor unless the beef was bland. I don't think steaks should be eaten with any sauces or gravies. A steak should be prepared prior to cooking and minimal additions only to prep for presentation for customer. The sole was tasty, but the radish crab salad side was too fishy. Interestingly, the best thing was the mozzarella, basil, and tomato stack with balsamic vinegar. The cheese, which is pulled on site, had a creamy flavor but not a creamy texture...it was wonderful! One more thing...the servers wear a grey jacket-smock type of covering...the kind you see on the folks at the NYSE running around taking stock orders. Please lose the smocks. Overall, I would try the place again. I've always wanted to go to a Capital Grille and I'm glad I got the opportunity to try it out.

The Delmonico ribeye with balsamic is excellent. Creme of corn was awesome. Creme Brûlée was tasty. Skip the seafood platter appetizer. Not sure how much it cost but it is probably overpriced. Lobster bisque was ok.

This Capital Grille is very nice inside. The servers are great and the food is yummy. A little overpriced given that you could get some more interesting options for the same price from a local restaurant, but still great quality nonetheless.
