Truly a gem! We came here after we arrived at the restaurant next door to discover it was closed - Lucky for us! Sushi Kichi is one of the very best sushi restaurants I have ever been to, including ones across the US as well as overseas. The decor is understated but still has clean and styled look. The menu has a good variety without being overwhelming. We ordered fish katsu for our son and my husband and I had the Volcano, Spiderman and Royal Salmon (see posted photos). We liked everything and the prices are very fair (in fact, it's a great deal for the quality and quantity you get)! Their sake selection is also great - we shared a bottle of the Goldflake, which was described as giving good fortune - and it certainly was our good fortune to stumble upon Sushi Kichi!

Okay, this was such a pleasant surprise. From an unassuming strip mall location beside a Publix, this husband and wife pair turned out real sushi masterwork. We popped in for a late lunch and dove in. I had a tuna, roe and chives special over a bed of rice, a ginger dressing salad and miss soup. The tuna was incredibly fresh and rich. And their homemade ginger dressing was nuanced with flavor and delicate, unheard of in such a location; my favorite ever ginger dressing. The staff was pleasant and helpful as well. Another secret find!

My wife and I are from out of town and felt like some sushi. We jumped on yelp checked for local sushi places near our hotel and we were fortunate to find this gem! We ordered the viva lava, Poseidon, unagi eel lover deluxe, and pirates roll. All those rolls had their own unique flavor profile and tasted amazing. Besides the food the service and ambience was ideal. Highly recommend this place to locals and out of Towners alike.

Restaurant closes at 9:30 on a Friday. We were from out of town craving sushi and found this place on Yelp. Arrived at 9:00 pm and were told they weren't taking any more people. Even though there was only two of us and the sign said no orders made after 9:15. Very disappointed that we tracked to this place to support local and were turned away.

We were surprised at the quality of the food and the service was very good. We were happy with the amount of choices of sushi and other entrees. There is a lot to choose from. I ordered the gyoza and the California roll and Poseidon roll. We also the Udon noodles. Everything was authentic and delicious! Prices were good for the quality in this area. We will definitely visit here again when in Orlando.

This place is located by the Publix shopping plaza on Central FL Pkwy also by the Greenberg Dental area. The place opens for dinner at 6pm. The ambience is clean semi modern with cute wall art. The place has a sushi bar, table settings and semi high bar tables as well. The server was friendly and handed me a photo album and at first I thought it was a Sake menu because thats the first page I glanced at and he then stated the album is the food menu as well. Its smart to use a small photo album as your menu I think lol. I schemed through the menu and spotted a few items such as the cold ramen to Chiriashi to Agedashi Tofu and my favorite Tempura Dinner. The prices are reasonable similar to Hanamizuki pricing I think but unaware of portions here. I opted for the Tempura Dinner and Agedashi Tofu. The ice cold water was served in a Mason Jar glassware which to me was odd because this is a Japanese Restaurant?! Mason jars are seen at country or homey like restaurants! The water tasted filtered so I was happy about that. Waiting for my food I noticed noises of "microwave beeps" in the back kitchen which worried me because I wondered what were they reheating??? Food was served promptly and water service was on point. Service was kind. The Agedashi Tofu was served first with 4 pcs of Lightly battered and fried sitting on Dashi Sauce. It was topped with scallions, grated daikon and this brown fuzzy thing I cant recall what it was but it shrunk when dipped on the Dashi Sauce. The tofu was delicious especially the light and crispy batter. The dashi sauce was good as well Wished they served more pieces to the dish. The sesame salad I ordered that came with the dinner - I was disappointed because it was just lettuce and 3 julliene sliced carrots and dressing! No tomatoes or other accents to the salad! The soup was served last with my Tempura because As my dinner entree was being served I asked about the Miso Soup and the server handed it to me last. Miso soup was watered down a bit. Was not impressed with their miso soup and salad. Tempura Dinner was 5 medium sized shrimp with about 6-7 pcs vegetables of okra, kombucha, onion, string beans, eggplant - I think that was it on the veggies. The tempura batter was light and crispy and shrimp tempura was cooked perfectly! It came with steamed rice which was sticky japanese rice btw! The tempura sauce was served in a flat square dish which to me was a bad idea its difficult to dip the tempura in! I had to lift the small dish and slide it downward to dip the tempura pcs! They should serve the sauce in a bowl like dish. They offered dessert but I was too full for the sweet tooth! I heard that the restaurant is family owned and runned - Father and sons are the sushi chefs and wife/mother is the kitchen chef. The servers are actual employees I think. I will def come back here but its closer to come here from my work area since its a straight shot. I will try the Chiriashi and desserts next time around! Oh they play 90's music here so - Bop your head when the music brings you back! LOL

Excellent!! Fantastic and informative service and fine, fresh sashimi and sushi rolls. This place is a gem. Good atmosphere and a real cool vibe. It's not going to be your over the top sushi house but the prices are right on to reflect the experience.

Bad service, worse experience , waiting for 30 minutes and nobody clean the table for new customers. Never come back again

We came in late and by the time we finished it was closing. The service was great and the food was even better! My favorite was the royal salmon roll. Everything was delicious. Not sure why other people had poor service and mediocre food.

The sushi comes out slow so if you have only a 30 min lunch break don't bother coming; But while you wait at least you get the perpetual miso soup and a salad which the ginger dressing was a somewhat runny. Prices are reasonable for the mouth watering quality sushi. The place is somewhat new so I still smelled paint fumes. Very beautiful minimalistic décor. The tableware was effin' nice; I was shocked to find out is 'Villeroy & Boch' usually high end restaurants carry the German made porcelain. So how a family owned joint next to a Publix happens to serve sushi in these plates it's mind blowing. You know a sushi bar it's good when you see Japanese patrons sitting next to you. I was willing to give 4 stars but there's the factor of one sushi chef can't handle the lunch rush and if you not open for dinner maybe hiring and extra help can solve the problem. I'll be coming back with my ninjas for shiso to give it a foursome rating.

I absolutely love this place the atmosphere is unique in a very inviting way. Every time I come here I find myself wondering why they don't have more customers. The place is definitely in a very weird area but its worth the search once you try their food. The servers are helpful and nice while the food is something special. I would recommend this place over any other sushi place around Orlando. The music is also great specially if you are 90s kid.

I really like this restaurant. Having been here a few times now, the food has always been very good. The rolls are all well made, very delicious and they never skimp on the size. Their noodles are really perfectly cooked. The soup although good, doesn't stand up to the quality of the noodles. Their sashimi is always fresh and very full of flavor and the slices are HUGE. You will definitely get your moneys worth here. However, the slices always seem to be alot softer than what I've had elsewhere. I don't know if this is normal or something to comment on, but the the softness of the sashimi isn't what I'm used to. Suffice to say anything you order here will be delicious and well portioned. Service can be a little inconsistent here. What I mean is although they are always prompt and polite, You can tell that some of the servers seem inexperienced. I'm sure this will solve itself over time. The menu here could use some work. It seemed a little too simplistic to me and at a few times I had to ask the servers to clarify things. However this may not be a negative to most people as simplicity has its benefits. Ive never seen a crowd here despite it's proximity to the theme parks in the area. It is beautifully decorated and not in the heavy traditional Japanese seeming decorations that most tourist traps use, but in a beautiful simple modern look with a slight asian flair. One thing that did get on my nerves is that the servers are not allowed to leave the pot of tea at the table. I'm not sure what the reasoning behind this is, but this usually leads to the servers constantly returning to the table to refill the cups since the cups arent large mugs either. Despite that little weird rule, I will be back here again and again.

This place is a little mom and pops Japanese owned restaurant! Great for authentic and fresh Japanese food.. We had to wait for are server for a little awhile but they were more then apologetic about it! Great customer service! We will be back!

This is a great new little sushi place - the staff was young and energetic and eager to please our sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious I especially enjoyed the salmon sushi and the Royal salmon roll - but everything was very good

Longest dinner ever, we waited at least 45 min to a hour for a small sushi sampler. It was ok, came with Miso soup about 30 minutes later. They had to make it after I asked? Honestly, being in food and beverage I understand being understaffed but after forever even my patience was up. Two tables that came 30 mins after us received their order about 20-30 mins before us. If they had taken off the charge for a small portion of edamame or covered a round of beers I would give a second chance perhaps. I am local but would rather go a bit further for better food in a timely manner with better customer relations / understanding.

This place is amazing! It's owned by a family and all of them play a part in the place. The atmosphere is very homely and warm. But above all, the food is absolutely amazing. I don't think I've ever had better Japanese food in my life. I recommend it highly! :)

This is honestly some of the best sushi I've ever had. Some rolls had a unique smokey flavor that was fantastic. The prices were very reasonable and the service was great.

We're from out of town and have been planning to eat here since I found this on Yelp. The sushi was very good. Our waiter AJ was attentive and helpful. The owner came out to chat with us and was very friendly. She even exchanged a few words in Japanese with my husband who told her he had been there. I'd go back to this friendly sushi restaurant the next time we're in town for sure.

We ate here tonight. I don't understand the five stars. Don't get me wrong, the sushi is not bad but definitely not 5. We had the following: royal salmon, soft shell crab sushi and tempura shrimp roll and tempura shrimp dinner which are all 3/5, miso soup was probably the best we've had. The salad with ginger sauce is ok, we've had better. We still have not found sushi that compare to sushi at Mandarin Court in Sewell, NJ.

The absolute best restaurant in this area, Japanese family owned and all family came to check on our meal. Had lunch and 2 dinners there in one week. Udon noodles with Tempura Prawn were fantastic, Princess Tuna rolls, sashimi and sushi all top notch. If I was a local I would be a regular, so hopefully the locals will support them also.

On a Sunday night when a majority of Japanese restaurants are closed, Sushi Kichi was open and the only option available for sushi within a 5 mile radius. I made a to-go order of agedashi tofu, royal salmon roll, and an eel fighter roll. I was disappointed to have discovered the agedashi tofu wasn't fried . It was good, but could've been better (fried). The royal salmon roll seems to be a Yelp favorite but mine just came out bland. On the other hand, the eel fighter roll was too saucy. I can't comment on the service as I ordered takeout, but the gentleman I spoke to on the phone was well mannered. The decor inside was actually unexpected because it was more appealing than the other Japanese restaurants in the area. Unfortunately, the food did not hit home with me.

Lunch special was great! Soup, Salad and 2 rolls for $9 or 3 for $13... I had the 3, thinking that it would be half rolls, but it wasn't. I love the Spicy Escolar. I also tried the Shrimp Tempura and Spicy Salmon (also good). On the suggestion of another review, I got the Shrimp dumpling hot app to share with my friends... also very good! This won't be my last trip, that's for sure. I had hot tea, as usual. Not only was it steeped well, but it was also free/comes with the lunch. Hubby had my leftovers 2 hours later and liked everything even then.

Delicious food, but maddeningly slow and unresponsive service. It's hard to put just one rating here. For food, it's a 5 star. For service, it's a 1 star (the staff were friendly, but otherwise totally failing to take care of customers in a timely manner). I was really puzzled at the high ratings for the place. Look around here on Yelp and you'll see like three other "horribly slow service" reviews among a ton of raves. Maybe we just got unlucky? Maybe someone key was not working that day, or something was on fire in the kitchen? If the food wasn't so darn good and the reviews backing it, we would have stormed out after the first 45 minutes of sitting at our table wondering whether they had forgotten about us. We arrived at 7:30p on a Sun and were seated almost immediately, and it took us an hour to get our first bite of food, and *90* minutes to get our main courses! Our table was dirty when we were seated, and they didn't clear it for at least 15 minutes, which on experiencing it, is something that just doesn't happen at normally functioning restaurants (when was the last time a restaurant had you stare at the previous party's spilled food for 15 minutes?). We had to get our own menus, since they didn't offer them to us. The two servers were super friendly and polite, so we tried to find reasons why something else might be going horribly wrong in the kitchen to delay things. However, simple things like asking for a glass of water or a dish to hold soy sauce for sushi would take an eternity to be serviced. Our waiter asked us if we were ready to order, and we just asked for some water because we were absolutely parched. We watched as a customer walked in the front door, stood for about 10 minutes without any staff talking with him or acknowledging his existence, then walked out. I asked our waiter what was happening to cause such slow service, and he said he didn't have much to explain other than "bad timing" because everyone showed up at once. The restaurant was full, but that's it. It's called *dinnertime*. We felt like we were on the losing team of Top Chef's restaurant wars, where the "front of house" person gets kicked off the show. That said, the food was really, really good. My sushi was generously portioned and at just the right temperature. The gyoza were crispy on the bottom and soft and juicy elsewhere. Seaweed salad was good. Curry was yums. So like I said, delicious food coupled with the slowest service I've ever experienced. This is based on my first and (as a result) only visit.

I'm from Hawaii where fresh fish is everywhere and this place is too good to be true. Fish is fresh, rolls are delicious and it's too good to be true when you see the prices for them. Very reasonably priced delicious sushi. They make it as you order it so when it gets a little busy, expect to wait a little more than usual, but the staff is friendly and hard working so don't go pointing fingers. The experience was great from the food to the atmosphere. Gonna be coming back again and again! Don't know what to get? Try the royal Salmon roll. It's all too good my goodness.

Had a sushi craving, so decided to try Sushi Kichi because it is close by. The atmosphere is very casual. They have regular, high top, and sushi bar seating. Service was impeccable. The entire team seems to take great pride and genuine pleasure in their restaurant. I ordered the Agedashi tofu appetizer. This is not a dish I would have considered ordering, only did so because of other Yelpers' reviews. I'm glad I did because it was delicious! I also had the Momotaro and Volcano rolls. Both were fantastic. The Momotaro has an habanero sauce, which definitely gives it a kick. I ordered the Volcano with a California Roll instead of spicy salmon. Yummm! I gotta say, to me sushi is all about the rice. if the rice isn't done right, the sushi is just not worth eating. And this rice was perfect! I didn't want to leave a single grain on the plate. To finish it off (because a meal just isn't complete without dessert), I was excited to order the custard puff. Alas, they had run out. So I had the apple cake instead. It was served warm, accompanied by a small scoop of ice cream. Yet another pleasant surprise.

Sushi Kichi was above and beyond expectations! I didn't expect much and was skeptical of the good reviews, since the outside of the establishment didn't look too impressive and it's located in a publix plaza. The sushi is definitely higher quality, up there with Kabooki level sushi in my book! The salmon was fresh and buttery--melt in your mouth. Highly recommended!

So full disclosure, came here to fuel up prior to the Disney Marathon so I wasn't able to fully indulge in some potentially tastier dishes. That being said the food was good; I wouldn't say it's worth driving out of your way for, but if you're in the area it's worth considering. The menu is a nice mix of traditional and western style sushi dishes along with some a la carte dinner items like udon and tempura. They also had some Japanese beers and sakes to choose from. The items are good but considering the competition the menu felt kind of flat but what was there was prepared well. The biggest issue here was just the amateurish level of service. It wasn't obscenely bad, and nobody was rude but it felt like opening night and nobody was ready. They ran out of menus and servers were poaching tables for their soy sauce of all things... "Are you using that?" Soy sauce? Yeah, probably...

This is where true rainbow sprinkle happiness is born. Every time I come here I always feel truly satisfied and gloriously happy. So much so, I dread when I am off on a Monday night only to remember that Sushi Kichi is closed. Everything ordered is consistently amazing, never to disappoint, it always comes out as perfect as the last time, with nothing being skimped on or rushed. Some regular favorites of mine, are the Tofu Agedashi, udon soup, tuna and salmon sashimi, and my favorite roll thus far is the poseidon roll (spicy tuna inside/ Torched salmon outside), that gives you that umami madness. I have not had a chance to try other rolls because I am married to this one for now. Another must try are the desserts, made fresh in house, items change often, love them all. Every employee here is very kind, and helpful. I do not want to leave out how much I love the decor and music selection of the restaurant, it is always pleasant, even the 90s throwbacks! All in all, this spot is a total package for me, great food, great prices, great staff, and great ambiance. True love!

Great sushi. Their food is flavorful and they make great calamari with their special sweet sauce. Their ramen is a bit salty but it's brand new. It would be a great date place but also good for families.

Me and my boyfriend had such a wonderful time at this delicious sushi restaurant! We had the eel roll, Spider-Man roll and the princess roll and all were great. The service was wonderful and they even had drinks served in mason jars. My boyfriend was a fan of there wide array of domestic beer choices. The atmosphere was relaxing and the music that was played inside was fun and enjoyable. Would definitely go back again!

  • GlutenFreeKev M.

They supply gluten free soy sauce on request. The rolls here are a generous 8 pieces long. I had the tropical salmon roll which brings together the tangy salmon and mango around a soft creamcheese center. The veggie delux roll featured a red pickled ginger and asparagus. My friend had the sushi kaisen dom which was a work of art. That one had wheat made soy sauce on it. I suppose it could be ordered without it but I'd have to ask. The wall decor is a relaxing minimalism. Music was alt rock.

Awesome!!! Traveling for work and saw all the great reviews, and they were right- so good! I had sashimi avocado salad and one of their spicy salmon rolls. Great service, friendly staff and clean decor along with the great food and price is a worth five stars in my book. Will definitely come back!

Really nice for lunch. Most reasonable prices for sushi in this area. Very friendly staff. A little quiet and uncrowded on the day I was here which seemed strange. Skip the salad cause the miso soup is great.

I will state up front that I am not the best judge of Sushi. I have been eating Sushi since the 80's but it is not something I normally would pick to eat all the time. I enjoy it when I have it but I am not as adventurous as others are when it comes to the more exotic items on the menu. With that being said, this has to be one of the better Sushi meals I have enjoyed. A good friend of mine raved about Kichi so I asked him one night if we could eat there. It was a middle of the week night and it was not busy but it did have customers. You can tell it is a small, local run establishment and the owners are right there doing much of the work. Our server was super nice and everybody who worked there said hello to my friend. He is there just about every week so they have gotten to know him well. After checking out the menu, I decided to try a larger, combo platter to expand my experience with Sushi. It had things on it I have never tried. It was all great but some of the items did not appeal to me... but that is because I just did not like the look of it... my dinner partner ate them all and said they were great! All in all, I had a great time and this place is wonderful. I hope they are doing well because I will return and try some of their other items. Atmosphere = 8 Food = 9 Service = 9 Next time... tempera and sake! Enjoy!

I was a little disappointed with all the great reviews I was expecting much more, first you cannot get items a la carte for the most par you have set dishes and that is it. Service was just ok, thank god we got there early they only had two very young inexperience waiters. Food was ok but I've had much better Sushi locally. Did not feel there was enough attention to detail in the dishes and presentation was ok. I looked forward for so long to go here and I will probably will not go out my way to come back.

This has become my favorite sushi spot in Orlando. The chef/owner is working everyday with special items prepared fresh daily. The restaurant is conveniently located next to a publix so there's tons of parking. The ambiance is nice and clean with a great music selection of 80s and 90s. The menu is a small binder with nice pictures to highlight there specials and featured dishes. Now to my favorite part is the rice. I have eating plenty of sushi all over the entire country, consistently, and on a weekly basis and have seen enough documentaries about sushi to understand the qualities of good sushi, also it does help being half Japanese, growing up eating Japanese food everyday! Anyways the rice is exactly the way it's supposed to be, from the aromas and plumpness of the exact cook time it's just delicious! Another favorite dish of mine here is the vegetable udon noodle soup! Tons of flavors and just the right size, for me that loves to eat a little bit of everything! Enjoy!

I'm visiting Orlando for a conference and got sushi cravings. After I yelped this place I thought it was going to be really good. It is a decent place but it is located on a strip mall, next to a Publix lol. Not the type of experience I was expecting. The service was good but the food was very bland. I got the so well reviewed Royal Salmon roll and it was very bland, no interesting flavors. I also got another roll (don't remember the name) and it was worst. I got a sake bottle (small one) and of course I didn't finished, just drink half (don't judge, it was a small bottle) the server didn't offer me to take the rest home. The only good thing is that it is cheap. Long story short I don't recommend it. I'm sure there are tastier sushi places in the area.

I have been to this place twice now and both times the sushi has been incredibly good. There is no going wrong with any of the rolls. Both times I have gone, they have been shocked by how much sushi my wife and/or I eat. I went last night by myself because I was traveling for business and ordered 6 rolls. They reminded me that each rolls has 8 pieces so I reduced my order to 5 rolls. When they served it to me the waiter said that if I finished it all the chef would give me free ice cream. Let me say, the green tea ice cream was delicious! I will definitely come here again!

Most of the other reviews are correct! This place is truly a rare find. We went in for lunch today and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is very clean and has cute tables. We sat at the sushi bar which was also nice. I believe this is a family run restaurant which makes me appreciate it even more. The husband is the sushi chef while the wife works the back kitchen. They were both very friendly! When we went, there were about 5 other tables. The server was alone and was quite busy. We did however get everything we needed. He did a nice job. I appreciated seeing him hustle to make sure service was good no matter how busy they were. Now on to the food.. It's was awesome. I did the lunch special which was 3 rolls with soup and salad for $13! What?!? That's soooo cheap! The rolls I got were full size and delicious. You would've paid $20 or more just for the 3 rolls anywhere else. My boyfriend had the pork katsu and it was huge! 3 large pieces of pork with white rice. We also got another dish that I can't remember the name to and it was very traditional. Beef, onion and rice. It was great as well. Our total came to around $35 which would've been $50-60 anywhere else, including Bento, and we have leftovers! Please don't exclude this place because of it's location. We've driven by this place 100 times and never went in. We live around the corner and plan on becoming regulars now. Keep up the good work Sushi Kichi

We arrived for dinner on a Thursday just as sushi kichi opened. Being the only table in the place one would expect prompt service and based on the reviews we were expecting good food as well. What we found was mediocre sushi and service that was very slow and apathetic. I actually had to get up and ask for help. On a crowded night no problem we understand but for an empty house?

Don't let the fact that this restaurant happens to be in a strip mall dissuade you from visiting this gem. Not much to look at from the street and not much to look at from the inside, but the food makes up for it. The menu is a little difficult to navigate but who cares, they have Grilled Hamachi Kama! And it's not just a special! I knew right then that despite the somewhat sterile decor that we were not in your typical sushi restaurant. Tempted to place a double order of the Grilled Hamachi Kama, my wife and I settled on just one, along with the Hamachi sashimi, the Poseidon Roll and the Gaijin roll. If you have never had Grilled Hamachi Kama, you owe it to yourself. I think you could just give me a plate of Yellowtail collars, a Japanese beer or two and I'd think I was in heaven. The kama, or collar is bar none, the best part of a fish, a rarity to see on menu even as a special, but as a regular appetizer! You have to be kidding me! Our Grilled Hamachi Kama was as good as any special I've paid twice as much for. Amazing. The Hamachi sashimi... Wow. Didn't know what to think when it arrived. Wasn't the usual snow white, perfectly cut little pieces of yellowtail goodness I was accustomed to. Two large slabs about a quarter inch thick arrived, with way too much bloodline. The pieces of hamachi were so large we weren't sure how to eat them. After the perfect Hamachi Kama, my heart sank. A nice start I thought, but here's what Sushi Kichi is all about and they are already failing. I could not have been more wrong. That piece of hamachi was without a doubt the best piece of hamachi I have ever put in my mouth. The rolls. The Poseidon and The Gaijin. I know I'm getting long-winded so I'll keep this short. The rolls were more of the same excellence. Fresh, delicious and prepared beautifully. Sushi Kichi was one of the best, if not the best sushi experiences my wife and I have ever had. What the restaurant may lack in ambiance is more than made up for with the food that they put out. A great dining experience.

Japanese family-owned! Wife came to table, refilled our Miso soup & green tea! She makes all the deserts which are just simply delicious (try the green tea chestnut cake roll or green tea cheesecake). No frills in atmosphere but you now it's real, it's homemade, it's authentic Japanese! This will be my only sushi restaurant.

NJ visitor. We came to Orlando for a short get away. My husband and I wanted to have a good Japanese food away from the tourist. By chance found this restaurant. The food was excellent. Sushi and sashimi was very fresh and the udon noodles were cooked to perfection. Everything that we had was delicious. We recommend this place highly.

I love this mom and pop shop. I was introduced to it by a Japanese friend and not only is the sushi delicious and fresh but the beef and rice dishes are amazing! I also had the "Japanese" cheese cake. This place is definitely a hidden gem and any foodie should check it out.

Very fresh sashimi, loved the friendly staff. They seem unprepared for the 2 large groups that came in, but handled it very well. Great atmosphere, very relaxing, love coming

Great authentic food! The staff, who are a family, were very friendly and you can tell they take their time and put a lot of passion into each dish.

Great sushi. Very tasty and fresh. Service was great and really friendly. Definitely not a tourist destination but well worth the drive for good food and atmosphere. Momotaro roll was exceptional!

I have been to Sushi Kichi several times now. It is a simple mostly family owned place. Father does sushi, mom in the back doing the cooking items and son helps out with sushi too. They are very friendly and remember my name at this point. The wife comes out to the tables and make sure everything is good and people are enjoying themselves. I like the meals that come with miso soup and salad. Some different combination of ingredients put into the sushi rice makes it a pleasant different experience than many of the other sushi places I have been too. Very simple and nice. Very authentic Japanese feel to the restaurant. Definitely if you are looking for a fun simple sushi experience this is the place to go.

Yikes. The food is good (that we have tried) but for the love of God there is no reason for it to take this long. It's literally the longest restaurant experience I've ever had. As I write this we have eaten about 10% of our order and we've been here for an hour and a half. It's almost incredible it's been so slow. We grew up working in restaurants, so, I feel like we are extremely patient but I'd never recommend this place, to anyone, ever... ever.

Excellent restaurant!! Authentic Japanese cuisine. Fresh sushi in a clean and friendly environment. I have been coming here for a year and each time they have exceeded my expectations. Need to arrive early because they fill up quick. Fairly priced and casual.
