I love the concept of "fast-food" hibachi where there's no show, just the food... because, let's face it, if you've seen one show you've seen them all. I've also been to restaurants that were quite successful at the "fast-food" hibachi concept, so having discovered it had recently opened I just had to try it. They have 15 All-day Combo specials (hibachi style) for $6.99, indeed a great deal. However, it was my first visit so I thought I should go all the way with one of the more elaborate combos. So I ordered the Teriyaki Salmon combo that comes with a small salad, mixed veggies, shrimp tempura, a couple spring rolls, a California roll, and I opted for noodles instead of the fried rice. I ended up spending $13.99(+tax), which is about double what the All-day specials cost. First the negative-- The salmon was slightly overcooked with a weak teriyaki flavor, the ginger dressing for the salad was also lacking flavor (which would seem impossible), the sauce used to "flavor" the mixed veggies was bland, and the spring rolls were definitely frozen and bought in (not made in-house). One of the nice ladies behind the counter suggested I try the white sauce with the hibachi (literally a nondescript bottle labeled "white sauce"). Being intrigued, I said sure even though she really didn't seem to know what was in it when I asked her. It was interesting because it had a creamy consistency but it didn't seem to have any distinctive flavor. As a result, it didn't enhance or compliment the flavors of the salmon or the veggies, so I set it aside. As for the positive-- The presentation is appetizing and picture perfect. The noodles were delicious, as was the perfectly crusted and fried shrimp tempura. The sushi wasn't bad either. To be honest, I would come here just for the noodles... they were that good. The service was also very friendly and welcoming. So the question remains... was paying double worth it? I don't quite think so based on flavor alone, but it was a lot of food, so maybe. However, I think the $6.99 specials are worth it because they come with the mixed veggies, spring rolls, and fried rice or noodles so it's a good amount of food but nothing you can't get from the Japanese place in any mall food court.

If you are simply looking for a cheap lunch than this place might get one more star. A co-worker talked about how great the sushi was and talked us into going. As we ate lunch he remembered that he had only ever eaten the hibachi. FAIL. I had both. The hibachi was ok and cheap. No flair and edible. The chicken fried rice was basic rice with a couple very small pieces of chicken and nothing else. The vegetables were fresh but the sauce tasted like it was from a can. The sushi was not good. The rice was not very good and the fish I would guess was frozen and thawed as needed. The price was great but I would also so for the same price I have had much better lunches as well as better sushi. Once and done for me.

The best Japanese food I've had in Orlando. Succulent scallops and shrimp. Delicious sushi and the most perfect lightly fried spring rolls!

Sushi Hibachi came up with a high-concept name for certain. They are a sushi-hibachi restaurant and they are located at the intersection of S. John Young Parkway and Americana/Conroy, next to a Publix supermarket. I'm a fan because they serve good sushi (I cannot vouch for the hibachi) at a very affordable price. The sushi and sashimi offerings are a bit limited (e.g., no Yellowtail), and the rolls are pretty standard. But, I enjoyed a fine meal of edamame, white tuna sashimi, a veggie roll, an exceptionally good shrimp tempura roll, and tea for only eighteen dollars. That's about the cost of one specialty roll at high-priced places. Many many many restaurants have occupied this space and have gone under. Give these good folks a try. You have little to lose.

My family and friends were visiting from out of town and saw this place had a low cost and 4 star rating, so we dined there. We were NOT very impressed. Firstly, our food came out one person at a time with large time lapses in between. They forgot to make my son's food at all, so we had to ask for it. Not exactly the kind of experience one is hoping for when dining out with friends. The food was just mediocre at best. We had both sushi and teriyaki. Publix sushi is better. I'm not sure if we went on a bad night, or if they've changed ownership, or what. Disappointed that Yelp failed me! We count on yelp ratings when we travel to make sure there are no unpleasant surprises.

Surprise, surprise... don't let it fool you, this little place is awesome. Tasty, cheap sushi and hibachi. It's sort of a fast food, but I kind of like the fact that I can order to go and it's ready very quick. I was apprehensive at first, but it passed the food poisoning test... nothing after 24hrs. :) Just try it!

My friend and I had the "All day long combo special" for $6.99, steak and chicken. It came with friend rice and he had the Kani cheese and I had the spring rolls. Everything was OK. The noodles I saw someone with smelled awesome and I want to try those someday. Everything is affordable. They were nice and the service was quick. It was also pretty clean. We here here New Years eve night.

Sushi Hibachi has finally opened it's doors! It's a new business that provides delicious sushi along with yummy hibachi. They have a lunch special (11 through 3 p.m) with the hibachi ranging from $4.25 to $5.25, you can choose from a veggie option or chicken, steak, salmon, scallops, or a combination. The hibachi either come with white rice, fried rice, or noodles with a thick creamy garlic sauce. I tried the chicken hibachi along with the house salad and it was phenomenal. They do a good job in flavoring the chicken with soy sauce along with broccoli, carrots, onions and the soft moist rice absorbs all the flavors. They are pretty fast at making the hibachi so for take out the wait is not bad at all. Since they are pretty new they are still making tweaks to the menu such as pricing so nothing is set in stone as of yet but the food is delicious.

If you have ever had good sushi I wouldn't go here. The ingredients were far from fresh, and the salmon tasted like had been frozen. The service was good, and it was cute how the whole family worked there. But it certainly was not worth a $30 meal for two.

I work right in this plaza, and have seen quite a few restaurants come in go in that building. This by far is the best I have seen yet. I was pleasantly surprised. First of all the place is immaculate. It is very clean and well kept. Secondly, they cook your food right in front of you. Thirdly, so far the people there are very friendly. Lastly and most importantly the food is delicious. My fellow coworkers also agree that the place is really good, and we all eat there now instead of going to the "other" food establishment in the plaza. It looks and taste very fresh. I will admit they could probably give more meat, I always get the chicken. It seems like that is the only complaint I hear from others. I don't mind so much, because they do give you ample amount of veggies which I love. The rice is great and taste awesome with fried egg added to it. I used to live in Boston, and we had a place called Sarku of Japan; which was pretty phenomenal for fast food Japanese and this place is a lot like it. The prices are really good in my opinion. Of course it's more than that "other" place a few doors down but you get what you pay for.

Had an awful experience here .... Don't waste your money on this place .. Customer service sucks since they don't speak proper English ... They gave me the wrong food plus they denied to give me my money back . So please be aware ... Once you order and pay you will not get your money back . Plus they have a kid working there which is against child labor laws...

So I would not rate this as the hibachi that you eat in by any means but I find it great as a close and cheap take out spot! We have ordered several times and it has always been good. My bf said the first time his steak was a little overcooked but the next time it was better than the fancy place we had tried earlier since moving here. I think it is relatively clean...again, not a 5 star eat in place but the food seams fresh and not precooked. The son I think always does most of the talking but I've had the same experience from most small take out places, but he is very nice and get our order right every time.

This place is very good. The service is great and the people that work here are very nice. However I am deeply saddened by the fact that they no longer serve vegetable tempura.

Decent food and affordable except for the fact that the woman behind the counter was screaming at her young son (who also worked behind the counter) the entire time and hitting him! My friend and I could hear her smacking him numerous times and this continued during the entire meal.. Wanted to say something but I was nervous that she would take it out on her son.. :( will never be back and if there was an option for zero stars that would be what I have picked..

Good food for the area and they're clean. Their hibachi all day special is a steal for $7.50 which includes seafood and your choice of an appetizer. I would come back but they need to improve their white sauce just a bit.

First off, an open kitchen does not make a Hibachi restaurant, you have to cook at the table. Start off with the negatives. While taking our order please remove the iPhone from the side of your head and talk to just the customer. Maybe you wouldn't have had to ask us to repeat our order over continuously. Probably why you ended up still not getting it right, but I ate what you made reluctantly not wanting to try to hold another conversation with you. Noodles were bland, steak was rubber, and scallops over cooked. Positives, the chicken tasted great and the price. Too many issues for me and won't be headed back to this one.

Okay I'm pretty sure the guy that cooks on the grill never ever washes his shirt and I don't ever see anyone ever washing their hands. That being said, I still enjoy their all- day special from time to time...and their sushi isn't half bad!

This is by far the BEST place in Orlando, for FRESH, YES... SUPER FRESH SUSHI TO-GO!!!! or if you are interested in Hibachi they Grill the Rice, Noddle, Veggies ALL in front of you! Él mejor lugar en Orlando para Sushi o Hibachi Grill. The place is super Sanitary. One thing I would recommend is to leave the front door always closed and a/c set to 70 degree. It was a bit humid and muggy inside. Have a Certified HVAC, Nate Certified Technician, check out your rooftop a/c packaged unit. Make sure they charge the refridgerant to Subcooling or Superheat Method, so your system will run at maximum efficiency and keep your restaurant cold, not humid. Other than this- This is Orlando's Best kept Secret! BEST SUSHI IN TOWN!!!!

Great value hibachi! I've had the "all-day special" ($7.50) several times for lunch, and it is a very good deal. The quality is really great for the price. Several large shrimp and tender, lean steak for 7.50 is a steal. I tried the spicy tuna roll ($5.75), just to get an idea of the sushi quality. The spicy tuna mix was mushy and flavorless. I'll try it again later to see if they change it up. For now, stick to the hibachi menu, and you'll get a good lunch for a great price.

My first time here this past Saturday and the food was delicious. I had the honey chicken all day special which came with rice and spring rolls but they left out my mixed vegetables and they could have added more chicken.
