I had a business meeting at Spice Burgr the first week they opened and ordered the California Spice. The burger is all that the menu says it is: filled with flavor, crisp lettuce and the meat is top-notch. You can tell they have prepared themselves to rival the big burger establishments in the area. The fries were not soggy, they were crisp and delicious. The locale, although small, is so well decorated, you will forget you are at a burger joint. Well done @spiceburgr - I shall be back!

With a lot of the local eateries closed downtown for New Years Day, I ventured out and found this place. The Burger of the Month was a 50/50 burger composed of chorizo and beef, along with jalapenos, pico, siracha and cheese. Got the double along with fries. The burger itself was smaller than I was expecting. Though I imagine the money I'm paying is going towards their better ingredients. What the burger was though, was delicious. Perfectly seasoned, and not overdone on the spicy side of things. But I did finish it rather quickly. Like other reviewers, the fries were soggy and limp. While I do like soggy and limp fries, by the time I took it back to the office, the fries were also cold. Not sure what could be done to correct that issue - but something should be done. Nice decor on the inside, but didn't stay. Might try it again, but for the money, there are other places downtown that will give me more.

Fantastic taste and affordable price! I got the 50/50 burger which was half chorizo half beef with jalapenos, pico, burgr sauce and sriracha. I swapped out for onion rings and they were delicious! The staff was very friendly and informative about their all natural products. This place is perfect for a quick bite before a movie or a night out in the town! I will definitely be back :)

Good Burger, Good service. They have some stiff competition with Beth's around the corner so they better be sharp around lunch time

All I'll say is that the burgers aren't the greatest. I got the traditional burger with no tomato. But what I got was a small and simple burger with tomato. The fries were better than the burger.

I had the Sunny Side Up, which included lettuce, tomato, mayo, cheese, bacon, and a FRIED EGG! Awesome burger! I also had the tater tots, which was a nice change from regular fries. Order was up quickly and staff was friendly. I'm sure we will be going again.

Burger is a gpod size taste really but not great. Only one size drink. Onion ring order for the price is skimpy, but the size of the ring are big and tasty. Drinks are free refills. They bring yyour order to you.

Having read some of the Yelp reviews and feeling the burger fix today, I decided to give this place a shot. As somewhat of a burger enthusiast, I've been to all types of "fancy" joints around Orlando such as Five Guys (my number one and go-to spot), BurgerFi, Burger 21 and Shake Shack, so I kind of had some high expectations when dropping by Spice Burgr in the middle of downtown. Sadly this place did not meet all of them.. :( * When I ordered and got the Fifty Fifty burger at my table, quite frankly it was really small for a $7 burger (heck even the size of Steak n Shake burger is bigger AND much less expensive than here!). In any case, the burger was pretty tasty as I could taste how fresh and natural (or so they claim) the ingredients are but that's pretty much all she wrote. However, the sweet potato waffle fries I ordered on the side were fantastic, well seasoned albeit maybe a little too much salt but they are fries so that's OK. * Customer service was pretty prompt when order taking at the counter and delivering the food at the table. The counter person however didn't check up to see how is everything with the food. Would have appreciated that level of service and it even wasn't that busy at all on a Thursday evening (only 3 parties at the time I was there). * Lastly is the location of the place. Unless you live in or near the downtown area, it is a bit of a hassle to go out of your way to find available street or metered parking. For the first time trying out Spice Burgr though, it's OK but I probably wouldn't keep going back and back.

4 Stars for a fun concept in a traditionally difficult location that serves up some pretty inventive burgers! This burger joint is located across behind Kasa in the Plaza building downtown. I'd hear that a few friends had made it their new lunch spot and I went by one night. First off, Spice Burgr is a sister restaurant to Spice steakhouse by Lake Eola. Their goal is to do a few things really well. This means you'll find a menu of inventive burgers, hotdogs, and fries/tots with very little else. I found this refreshing and it helped me to pick the most interesting burger I could find. I ordered the special burger of the month, the Umami Burger (which the guy at the counter proudly let me know he came up with!). It came with mushrooms and a really great sauce. There's also the build-your-own burger option where you can chose to put an array of toppings or sauces on their traditional burger. First off I inhaled the burger. I'd like to say I savi red every bite but before I knew it it was gone. I love their focus on quality ingredients and so the main thing I remember from my weird burger blackout was that the meat was really good. I opted for the sweet potato waffle fries as a side and though they seemed pretty standard, the sweet sauce they came with was outstanding. I asked about it and the (super friendly) guy at the counter (he also goes around checking on tables and running food) said they make it in house with an array of spices. It tasted like thanksgiving. Which is great in my books. My compadres ended up dipping their tots in it too. Overall, I hope this spot lasts. It seems like they're focusing on the right stuff and the customer service was surprisingly good for a place where you order at the counter!

They're a good, slightly upscale burger venue for downtown where you don't have to wait forever and there's no white napkin airs. I went in at 1pm on a Wednesday and it was half full and a few waiting for to-go orders. I got a standard single with bacon and smoked gouda with a side of tots. It was ready in about 3-4 minutes and the girl at the cashier was nice enough to offer me a cup for water while I waited. Staff was very pleasant, asked me if I wanted any extra sauces when my order was ready. The burger was simple, nice buttery bun, juicy patty for being just a thin burger, great quality toppings. Whatever should be red and green was, and whatever shouldn't be red or green wasn't. Props on the fried onions and asking me if 'everything on' was ok before submitting my ticket. Tater tots were fresh, crispy, and still moist inside. It's nearly an hour later and I'm still munching on them without eating a fingerful of mush. At $9 and change for a bacon cheeseburger with tater tots, it's not too bad. Yes it's more than your standard fast food chain, but the quality of the ingredients, cooking, and staff friendliness was worth the extra few bucks. They also have non-burger alternatives like veggie and chicken patties, and also burger specials. My brother swears by the caprese burger.

I really enjoyed the food here. I got a cheese burger and some french fries late on a Friday evening. There wasn't a line and the food didn't take long to prepare. When it came out it was hot and fresh and really good. The burger bun was really tasty. It was definitely an above average bun and helped make the burger stand out. The French fries were also very good! They were really hot and super crispy. The burger as a whole was really above average and I enjoyed eating it. There were a lot if options for toppings and customization. I got avocado and grilled onions in addition to cheese. UPDATE: I recently learned that the beef used at this restaurant is grass fed with zero nitrates or preservatives! They also use cage free/free range eggs. I greatly admire this dedication to quality ingredients. It's better for the animals and better for you! Overall, this is a great restaurant and I highly recommend it. Not only is it tasty and in a really convenient location, but it's also healthy and humane!

I'm here from out of town for a few days on business. My meals are paid for by my company with a more than generous daily amount but only pays what you spend. I was at the Corona Cigar Lounge next door the other night and opened yelp to find a place nearby for dinner. This place came up and I could actually see it from where I was sitting. Did I pick the right place. The burger is small like someone else said but I'm sure it's a quarter pound and a double was just a nominal charge. I got the single traditional. I have not tasted a burger this good, ever. That's the truth. I upgraded to the onion rings and they were very good. My sister and brother-in-law were with me. My brother-in-law got the double minus the cheese and loved it. My sister got the chicken, plain and couldn't stop talking about how much she loved it. They're from here (about 20 miles) and kept saying how they will be coming back. I'm writing this on my return visit a day after my first, it was that good. And the prices are very inexpensive, especially for downtown. I'm sure I'll be back next time I'm in town.

This is a real gem. Quality food that's worth a visit. Fresh ingredients, including the side of fruit I got with the amazing burger was just cut fresh. Glad to have it as an option downtown.

It's called spice burgr because the burgers are so small they had to actually make the word smaller. I had the burger melt and for a $7.50 burger I was pretty disappointed. My friend had a regular burger and the tomato slice was bigger than the burger. The meat was very salty and the fries that came with it were limp and cold. Sorry but I won't be back. A special apology to Beth's Burger Bar for even thinking someone else might compare.

Came for their Grand Opening, and ordered to-go. Their (California Spice Burgr) consisted of avocado, pico, and bacon. Good deal for a single burger + fries. Their burgr's are made *All Natural and prepped as ordered. The burgr had good flavor and paired well with their (Burgr Sauce), but their french fries can do some work as they were slightly undercooked and bland. (Soggy) Overall, not bad for the price.

If you go in expecting a fancy gourmet burger join please, don't go in. It is decorated like a gourmet burger place with nice colors and very modern furniture so I can see why anyone can get that impression. Now for the food, there is no chef preparing your burger, there is a cook. The menu is simple and straight forward, burgers, fries, onion rings, sodas done. The flavors are nice not bad for the money, if you are hungry and in the mood for a burger for an ok price, you found it. I will come back.

Not the best. Small burgers that you can eat in 4 bites. Hubby was not pleased about this. Overdone, too. The onion rings were enjoyable. Don't think we will be back.

I really feel like Spice Burgr has improved since their grand opening. Especially where the fries are concerned. They ditched the limp shoe string fries for thicker cut battered seasoned fries and they're really good. The burgers are decent and the chicken sandwich is good too, when I just can't bring myself to eat a burger 2 days in a row (and I've been tempted). The burger is definitely on the smaller side but I load it up with fresh toppings and it's good for me. The sweet potato fries are a yummy option and the fresh fruit side is totally worth it for a healthier choice. For my own experience, my food has always been hot, cooked well and served fast. Great for a quick lunch meal if you work downtown.

This place was super yummy! I had a traditional single burger with bacon. The bacon was crispy and so flavorful. The fried onions were a wonderful accent. The sweet potato waffle fries were seasoned to perfection and paired with a sauce that is addictive! Overall, it was a wonderful meal after the Orlando City Soccer Club win tonight! I will definitely be coming back in for another meal. It's a nice little dive for a burger, fries and deliciousness!

Tater tots!! Okay, now that i have that out of my system - there's a new tenant in the Plaza, serving up burgers, fries and yes, tater tots. Everything is organic, which is probably why the burgers start at $6 but they keep the add-ons reasonable - 75 cents for bacon, avocado, fried egg, cheese, etc. And did I mention I liked the tater tots? Worth a try for a quick, respectable burger downtown.

I was actually looking forward to try this place. Today, I finally went there. I ordered the traditional burger and sweet potatoes fries to go. I got back to my office and bit down into the burger.....completely raw. What a letdown. Fries were over cooked. I won't be back.
