Nice friendly counter service. I had a cucumber goat cheese and spinach burger with a side of seasoned sweet potato fries. It was really good. I chose the regular size but you could get a larger burger. Hubby got a buffalo burger. It seemed good. Manager checked on us twice and cleared baskets, a nice touch. Shakes looked good, maybe next time.

Just enjoyed a avocado BLT burger with smash fries. I WILL be returning for sure. In a world of 5 Guy's and burger Fi's, it's difficult to find the best burger joint in town. This place is my new fav! Can't wait to try other burgers on the menu! Heading back to the register to order a shake to add sweetness to my meal time!

I got a BBQ Bacon Cheddar Burger and it was alright for the price I paid. Meat was nice and flavorful. The haystack onions on the burger were amazing. I got an order of the smashfries and the chicken buffalo fries. Smashfries were fantastic. Chicken buffalo fries were good, but it was too salty. Good place but nothing really special.

This place is sure to satisfy your burger cravings. I've been wanting to try this place out and I'm glad I did! I walked in today, on a Tuesday afternoon around 2pm and it wasn't busy. They have menus you can look at while you wait in line and there's a large screen behind the register with the menu options. I spotted the truffle, mushroom and swiss burger instantly and that was that. You can order a 1/3 lb. or 1/2 lb. burger. I ordered the latter with a side of "smash fries" which are seasoned with olive oil and rosemary. (You can order your fry portion either regular or large. Guess which one I chose?) I ordered my meal to go and it was ready within 5 minutes. (Not bad). While I was waiting I took notice of the kitchen and eating area and everything was clean and organized. They seemed well staffed and everyone working appeared super friendly. When I got my goodies and went into the car, the glorious smell wafting from the bag was too much for me to handle. I couldn't resit so I opened it up and impatiently put a golden fry in my mouth. 'Then the heavens opened up and a chorus of angels began to sing.' (Yes, I take my food this seriously). I love french fries. They are my weakness, guilty pleasure, comfort food, whatever-you-want-to-call-it. I love them of all shapes, seasonings and sizes; I do not judge. But the one thing they must be: CRUNCHY. Too many times have I been served a depressing, soggy plate of fries. Too many times have I been disappointed with mealy and mushy potatoes. But not this day. On this day I experienced the epitome of what a french fry should be: soft and hot on the inside with a crunchy, crispy outer shell that is basked in the most delicious and wonderful flavor combinations to ever christen your palate. Yes, these fries are THAT GOOD. Of course, I finished all the fries while I was driving, eating them one by one and savoring every bite. (My apologies if you had to witness this). They packaged my burger in a plastic container which was a very nice change as opposed to paper like most places do. Needless to say there were no leaks or precious juices wasted. I took off the bottom of the bun because in-between the meat and the top bun is where the magic is. I had a hard time finishing it even with this alteration but it was so. damn. delicious. It was juicy, succulent and the cheese was melted to total perfection. Don't even get me started on that truffle sauce. I could put that on everything. I'll be back with friends no doubt. They better not touch my fries though.

The manager who works here is hella cute and super nice. The burgers and fries were delicious and seasoned really well. I wanted to eat half of my central Florida burger and save the rest for later but I ended up eating the whole freaking thing it was so delicious. My Kesh closed around the corner :-( so this is my new spot for something new different and tasty.

Yet another upscale hamburger, fries, and shake restaurant that is a huge improvement over Mc Donalds or Burger King. I had the burger with avacado and fries. I thought it was about the same as Five Guys and had not complaints other than the service was super slow the day I was there.

TL;DR - If I'm ever craving fries and a shake, I'm coming here! We decided to stop here, as neither of us had ever heard of Smashburger. The first thing we noticed is that it was freezing inside. We decided we would eat our food in the car. The burgers are good. The meat isn't really seasoned (seems to be a trend for burger joints). Be sure to sprinkle some salt on the patty, and add a generous dollop of mayonnaise. As a french fry snob, I can tell you the Smashfries are excellent! So how does this place rate four stars? I've got 4 words: COOKIES 'N' CREAM MILKSHAKE (does 'n' count as a word?). I almost didn't order one, as I felt I'd already paid good money for an okay burger. But I finished eating and had a taste for something sweet. so I figured what the heck. WOW! What a shake! Worth every penny! The straws are thin, but the shake is blended to the perfect consistency. No pieces of cookie stuck in the straw.

I'll settle on four stars here, although I feel that in reality it's somewhere in between three and four stars. I like the look of the menu selections -- a few different burgers appealed to me. This time around, I opted for the Avocado Club burger, which was presented on a wheat bun with cheese, bacon, Haas avocado slices, lettuce, and tomato. I ordered the larger size burger, although I don't know the size difference between the two. Good flavor and the right size (not sure I'd be interested in the smaller one). They have several types of fries available. I don't remember the name of the fries I ordered, they were thin-cut with olive oil, rosemary and garlic. Pretty delicious. Regular fries are available for the same price, or for a little more you can get a few other options. Annoyingly, this place subscribes to the à la carte style of ordering, where you pay separately for every component of the meal. I'm definitely not a fan of this type of pricing, especially for a fast food burger joint. I'm sure it's great for them, because with just a small side of fries and a small drink, you're already looking at $12. It's not great for you or me, for precisely the same reason. The other day I was at a different restaurant of the same type -- counter service, tasty made to order burgers. But they offered a good size, filling burger meal including fries and a drink for around $8. So I guess to me, the real question is whether or not Smashburger is worth that 50% premium. Well, as I said, there are a few burgers that sound pretty tasty. So maybe enough times to try some of them. But in terms of value for money, one can do better.

I was looking for a good burger place in the area and wasn't in the mood for five guys (their burgers are too greasy for my taste). So I searched and came across this place! I had a little bit of trouble finding the place but I'm glad I kept looking (it's located right next to eyeglass world!). Once I got in I looked at the menu and immediately knew what I wanted-- buffalo and blue cheese burger? Heck yes! I also got an Oreo cookies and cream milkshake and a large smash fries (olive oil, Rosemary, and garlic) to share with my fiancé. I'm not kidding one bit when I say the service here is super quick. I was getting water from the soda fountain right after ordering and when I got back to my table my burger was already there!! Holy smokes that's fast service! My fiancés burger and shake came out only seconds after and so did my shake and our order of fries! We had multiple employees come up to us while we were eating asking if everything was going alright. The service was great! The resturants itself is pretty big and has a good amount of seating space! You don't feel cramped or anything like that. -Buffalo Blue Cheese burger: Amazing! I love anything with buffalo sauce on it so I was in heaven and they were not stingy with the blue cheese! I would most definitely recommend this burger! -Smash Fries: The larger order of fries is definitely large, our fries were great! They tasted fresh and weren't too greasy or undercooked! -Oreo shake- The shake was one of the best cookies and cream shakes I've had in a long time! It was creamy and included a good amount of the cookie which I love! It turns out they use Haagen-Dazs ice cream and Oreo cookies to make their hand-spun Oreo shake. No wonder it was great! Overall, this place is a must if you love good burgers and shakes!

This is similar to five guys, but much nicer and more options/toppings. The burgers we ordered were 1/3lb. We did Create Your Own.. I got grilled onion and American cheese (nothing fancy). I typically like my burgers a little on the bloody side, but I understand with such a thin burger it is very difficult to heat it to the right temp and still get some blood. It was cooked very well and very juicy. I also got a strawberry milk shake which was very yummy. Their fries are thin and crispy just how I like! The staff here was very friendly and attentive. I recommend following them on Instagram. They frequently post deals and savings for their followers. Today we got BOGO on our burgers.

Excited to try this new (to me) burger place out by UCF. There are lots of burger choices to choose from, but I decided to try the special--the Windy City Burger. It had Gulden's Spicy Mustard, lettuce, tomato, haystack onions, melted cheddar cheese, and smashburger patty, all on a pretzel bun! It was delicious! We also had the Smash Fries which are tossed in Italian olive oil, rosemary & garlic. I really enjoyed them. Looking at the menu, local restaurants around the country have their own "Local" burger, sides, and even milkshakes! Makes me want to try them all!

I've always told myself I'd try this place with some friends but never really got around to it. With other burger joints I've been satisfied with in the past dotting the area, it was difficult to convince myself to go when I could treat myself with something I was familiar with. After some family from out of town came to visit and they wanted to go, it was finally time give it a try. The question was, it worth it? Sort of. It was worth trying but I don't myself going back anytime soon lest someone else was curious. I ordered the Truffle Mushroom Swiss with grilled chicken and overall found it very pleasing for my tastes. The truffle mayo was rich and full of flavor, easily the best part. The problem I had was that there was hardly any mushrooms, maybe 5 tiny ones near the center. The grilled chicken patty was almost paper thin, it's appearance close to a fried egg. The poor little patty was absolutely dominated by the egg bun. It wasn't a dealbreaker for me but for others, I could easily see how it could be. My boyfriend got the BBQ, Bacon, and Cheddar. I did try a bite and thought the patty was savory albeit a bit forgetful but it was only one bite. He enjoyed it well enough but my problem was seeing the bacon upon arrival. It was limp and fat caked, if it were mine I would have returned the burger and his family professed the same. Something to look out for. A large order of the smashfries accompanied our fare, the basket the same size they give you for your burger. Easily large enough to split between two or more to the fact that we didn't finish it. The fries are shoestring and covered in rosemary, olive oil, and garlic. The flavors they choose pair well and make what normally is my least favorite type of fry cut into an addictive little bites. Overall, the place doesn't really feel like anything special but it's a safe bet if you're looking for something just a step above fast food.

There is a proliferation of burger joints in the area, and my husband seems bent on trying them all. I like hamburgers and appreciate good ones, but I don't obsess over them the way some people do. The burger I tried at Smash Burger was decent. It certainly wasn't bad, but it gave me no reason to want to have it again. It was mediocre. It blends in with all of the burgers I've had at fast food joints over the years. Perhaps the problem is I went in expecting something life-changing (yes, I have high expectations for food) and was disappointed. But when there is a strong burger game going on in Central Florida (BB Junction still tops my list), I guess I want to be wowed. And I wasn't.

Although I think the food here is good, I will say the service is pretty terrible. Every time my boyfriend and I go here we NEVER get our food at the same time. Usually I will wait about 10 mins after he gets his to get mine, which is a little awkward when you are trying to eat together. The managers seem to be unaware of how to really run a business like this, I am surprised at their lack of knowledge on how to keep customers happy. The food (when it does arrive) is good, I can't complain about that. I usually get a bbq bacon burger with sweet potato fries and I always enjoy it. I would recommend this place if you have time to wait for your food.

Best fast food burger joint in Orlando! Although I love Smashburger this specific location wasn't the best. I prefer the one on Colonial more. Parking= plentiful ( in the Waterford Lake area). Customer Service= So so. The waiter brings your food out. They forgot the Oreo shake and I had to bug them about it. They didn't come around to check on you like the other location. Food= Delicious. Cheap. Fresh. Variety of Option. All the ingredients that they put into their food are fresh. They dont season the patty as well as the other. You would think a franchise would all taste the same but it isn't. The burger here are put together more sloppy and not as fresh or well season. We loved the following: Truffle Mushroom Swiss (my inner foodie was quite excited when I saw the word Truffle in a burger) BBQ Bacon & Cheddar SmashFries (shoe string fries tossed with oil, rosemary, and garlic) Oreo Shake Better than Shake Shack, Burgerfi, and Five Guys. Price are about the same as five guys.

Honestly, I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised when I went to Smashburger for the first time. I happened to be in the UCF area, and it was an impromptu decision to stop in and try out a new restaurant. As with most places nowadays, Smashburger is best described as "fast-casual" meaning that you order your meal at the register and then sit down to wait a few minutes for someone to bring out your food. In this respect, Smashburger really should change their name to Fastburger. Our burgers arrived at our table literally within five minutes of paying for them. Moreover, the quality of the food at Smashburger is excellent. I decided to go with a chicken burger and a side of smash fries (ordered separately), and my burger was moist yet healthful with a multigrain bun, while my shoestring fries were crisp and delicious. I honestly hate shoestring french fries, but somehow the cut didn't even matter to me because the fries were so fresh. Also, I got a chance to try out the nutter butter milkshake and it did not disappoint! Overall, I loved my first experience at Smashburger. If you're into burgers, fries, and milkshakes, I'm sure you'll love it too. TIP: For those who are vegetarian or on a diet, each burger is available as a black bean burger and veggie fries are also available.

After having a wonderful smashbuger experience in CA a few years ago we decided to try our local branch of the smashbuger family. The burger itself was decent. The patty had nice flavor, toppings were fresh (tomatoes had the familiar Florida hothouse tomato problem -- no flavor mushy texture). Good bun. The burger was like I said decent, it wasn't near our CA experience but better than most chain burgers. We got the sweet potato fries. They were horribly over cooked and they were soggy. No idea how they cooked them, maybe the oil was to cool to properly cook them. Location really knocked down my rating here. It is not really obvious location wise. The store itself is just a shell interior. Lots of noise gets echoed around the store. Was loud and jarring at times with kids screaming and chairs banging around on the concrete. I don't mind noise but there is nothing to absorb noise and that is my complaint here...makes it jarring. Personally not going to drive out of my way for this smashbuger.

About the same as Five Guys. My fries weren't fresh. I probably won't repeat.

Think of a pricier, higher quality Steak N Shake. All of the ingredients are fresh and the shakes are delicious.

It isn't that good for the price. 2 burgers and one large fries $16. Go somewhere else like five guys or even smiling bison for a quality bison burger for not much more than here

I go to locations near me in NYC all the time, but after seeing there was one in Orlando near my familes home while in town visiting I was very excited. Came on Yelp to check hours and saw the bad reviews... made me nervous "oh no, maybe this location isn't as good for some reason" I thought. Nope, it's just as good. these burgers areade well, with quality ingredients, and are unique. If you don't like them you are crazy. 1 star off because service was slow (although friendly).

While I am not a burger fan, I love a good chicken sandwich. I decided to try Smashburger after seeing it under construction for a few weeks and was pleasantly surprised. It's actually so good that I've now been twice. They have two options for chicken sandwiches : fried or grilled. I would definitely recommend the grilled chicken. Not that there was anything wrong with the fried, I just found more flavor with the grilled. Its a very thin breast of chicken, but for an inexpensive restaurant, it's expected. I felt that with the fried chicken breast there was so much beading, you could hardly taste the chicken. But I digress. I had lettuce tomato and grilled Onion topped on my grilled chicken and all were phenomenal. My only complaint was with the bun. Had I chosen to eat in the restaurant, it probably would have been fine - but choosing take out, it was placed in a plastic container and the entire sandwich felt soggy. Now the French fries there are absolutely amazing. I opted for the fancy smashFries and they were heaven. Sprinkled with salt, Rosemary and garlic salt- the flavor is out of this world. The fries are traditional shoe string so you can eat a ton of them without feeling full. The best part is a large is only 3 dollars. I cannot wait to eat here again!

Went in tonight for a dinner with my family. We were given a very friendly hello as we walked in. We took a minute to look over the menu and the manager asked us if we had any questions or if he could help with anything by making suggestions for us. I ended up going with the Sin City burger with spicy fries. This was a suggestion by the manager and he stated that it was one of his favorite combinations. I was not disappointed by this burger and fry combination. He came by and checked on us and thanked us for coming in tonight and "having dinner with them" gave it a real family feel to it. He even gave us coupons for the next visit. I also got a shake, once again based on his suggestion. I'm really picky about what sweets I eat and he said that you can't go wrong with a chocolate shake. So that's what I did. It was absolutely delicious. I didn't share with anyone. Overall this experience blew me away. I really loved the family feel the manager gave to us. I will definitely be back with my family or friends and I hope to see him there as well!

Craving a burger and since I live in the Waterford Lakes area I decided to try this place out. I did the create your own burger which was basically just the classic smash with Swiss, grilled onions and mushrooms. I got it to go and needed to take my dog out for a quick walk before an incoming storm, so it sat for about 15 minutes until I got to it. 5 stars for presentation, but the bottom of the bun was soggy. I had to take the top off to see if there were mushrooms, so I definitely wouldn't pay extra for them again. Maybe I let it sit too long, but I was disappointed. I'll probably give them another shot sometime and hope it's better.

I got the black bean burger today and was hoping to be blown away by it. I wasn't. It was extremely bland and dry and they forgot the cheese. I won't order it again. However, the service is really great and their fries are really yummy and surprisingly their side salads are really fresh and good!

Not bad, not great. First time there and I found it to be a little pricey for burger and fries. Everything is an addition. $6+ for a burger, $2 for fries, $2 for a drink. About $10 per person. The burger was just ok. The regular fries are shoe string, not my fav. I do like that they a lot of options for burgers. Just another burger joint, nothing special.

My experience here left much to be desired although was not a terrible trip. The Pros of my Smashburger trip: -The staff were super friendly -The food came out quick -The food was hot -Everything tasted good The Cons: -The front door looked as if it had the remnants of at least a weeks worth of burger grease off of patrons hands - The seats, booth benches in particular, had the remnants of a weeks worth of food sprinkled about. - The burger was good but did not leave me craving another visit. I feel like Smashburger could easily have a drive thru and compete with other fast food joints like McDonalds and Burger King but they are no where near a Burger Fi or Burger 21, as I assumed them to be based on location and prices.

I'm giving Smashburger five stars based on Customer Service first and the food second. Yesterday I had a craving for a burger and the first place that came to mind was Smashburger. I had trouble finding it so I called and they informed me of their location on Alafaya Trail in the Home Depot Plaza. As I arrived, I received a follow up call from the restaurant wanting to know if I had found them. I found that to be exceptional, they actually took the time to call and find out if I was still lost. As you walk in, the place is elegantly decorated with dark wood floors and everything was spotless. The young man at the register was polite and he actually came around to our table to make sure we were satisfied with our meal. Having never been to a Smashburger, I decided to order the Classic Smash which is a simple hamburger with Smash Sauce, Cheese, Pickles, Lettuce, Onions and Tomatoes. I asked the young man about the Smash sauce and he explained it was a blend of mayonnaise, yellow mustard, pickled relish and lemon juice. He mentioned it was a bit like Thousand Island which I enjoy quite much. My burger was flavorful but what took the cake for me were the Smash Fries! These fries are spectacular in my opinion, I could eat just fries and be happy. Smash fries are shoe string tossed in rosemary, olive oil and garlic, what else can you ask for! They also serve fresh salads, chicken sandwiches, Haagen Dazs milkshakes, beer and soda products. I plan on becoming a regular because those fries are addicting and I do want to try some of the other burger concoctions they have to offer.

This one is located in front of Homedepot if your looking for it. I expected a really good tasting burger in the league of Five guys or Steak and Shake. the burger was average to me, they had a lump of oil on top,so much so I napkined it a bit, yet no real seasoning, I am being nice with the average rating. The haystack onions were good. I also give them credit for having a bunch of options to add for free, they also give you cheese, which in my case was actually not a good thing. I don't eat cheese, the orders automatically have cheese even if you build your own burger. The default is cheese, so you will have to tell them directly if you don't want it. The price is about a dollar less then five guys. I just don't think it tasted exceptional, really no seasoning. if you order frys or haystack onions there's enough for two. Service, they had a lot of employees working the dinning area. the only problem I found was within 3 minutes we had three different employees ask if they can remove items from our table. I think in total there were five employees who asked if they could take scraps off the table. A bit much. The place was a little empty, basically they are on the wrong side of the street, so they will have to advertise to stay in business over there. I think they are worthy of a try by others, I think they are not for me. steak and shake and Five guys use some good seasoning.

Skip 5 Guys across the street and come here instead! Smash Burger where the burgers are a smash of flavors in your mouth! The price is $5.99 for a Regular Burger and $7.29 for a Big Burger. Which is pretty good. They also have a text/email club you can join for some special offers so I actually got a big burger for less than 6 bucks and it was iNCREDIBLE. I've had the BBQ, Bacon, Cheddar burger and the Avocado, Bacon Burger (can you tell I love bacon?) and they both were fantastic and much much less greasy than a Five Guy's burger which is usually a sloppy mess by the time i'm nearing the end of it. I've just had the burgers so I can only speak on those but service only took 5-10 minutes which is typical in these kind of places. They're a new location - give them a break! And definitely give them a try if you're in the Waterford Area.

My son and his three friends went to thete today. Theu ordered the baja jalapeño burger snd they got very sick. All four were throwing up for an hour. I called to speak with the manager to notify of this and maybe check if something was wrong with the food but he was careless. I donot recommend this place at all!. Be careful!

Ever since my last trip to Denver, I've wondered what I missed by passing on the Smashburger experience to visit a nearby Irish pub instead. So, we "Smashed and Dashed" this new location in Waterford (Because clearly there aren't already enough food options in this area) and ordered a number of things on the menu. Maybe our expectations were too high, but both the burger and the chicken sandwich didn't meet them. Despite the freshness, the overall flavor wasn't that distinct and that bun-to-burger ratio was just too much in favor of the former. The sides we sampled were better, especially the delicious veggie frites that exceeded my expectations. It is well-documented how Smashburger prepares their fries and they were really good too. Cannot say the same for the fried pickles, which were flimsy and not even close to the insanely perfect ones we always get at 4Rivers. Ordering online was very easy and credit both the kitchen for preparing everything exactly to our specifications and the employees for being attentive and friendly for the brief time I was in the store. For just over $21 minus drinks, we were both full from the meal but were left wondering if ordering our burger and chicken a different way would have produced a more flavorful result.

First let me start by saying that the customer service here is very nice. All the staff were professional and polite. However, the food leaves much to be desired. This was my first time here. We ordered a regular BBQ bacon cheeseburger, regular avocado club chicken sandwich, large buffalo fry, and a drink which came to a bit more than $20. While that amount is not uncommon for a casual restaurant for two in the area I don't think the food warranted it. Everything seemed to be run of the mill Sysco food (a food distributor for restaurants) that they just reheated. Nothing seemed like it was made in house. Also, the avocado on the chicken sandwich was brown. There are plenty of other burger/salad/chicken sandwich restaurants in the area that put more effort into the food.

First time at Smashburger, success! I didn't even know there was one soo close to me but thank you Yelp! Saturday, 1:30pm, no lines, no wait. Very friendly cashier, Sabrina, instantly recognized we were first timers and called us over, gave us menus and sat us down and explained the menu. My husbamd went with the big burger with pepper jack cheese, i had the truffle mayo, mushroom, swiss burger and we shared large sweet potato fries and he got a Haagen Daz vanilla milk shake, delicious! I am coming back for the avocado club burger! Bonus, if you complete the survey at the bottom of receipt w/in 30 days, you get free fries!

Burger chain, burger chain! Ok, burgers are better than the others nearby (five guys, burger 21). Nice thick parties that aren't dry, bland, or too greasy. Great pickles, the pickles are worth it. All the regular toppings and some special ones we didn't try. The egg buns are good but that bottom one will get a lil moist in a to-go box, which the big burger just fits into. The smash fries are surprisingly good, and perfect to share with 1 more person. Much better than burger 21 and different from five guys, these are thin and crisp and tasty. From an Italian, you can't really go wrong with olive oil as a flavor, and it's not too much Rosemary. Down sides: shakes are eh, very creamy, kind of like cold, high fat, chocolate milk. Food is kind of slapped together and check your order before you go, college kids aren't paid to pay attention. Summary: very satisfying burger lunch

I'll be really honest... I was pleasantly surprised. If you like five guys I would recommend you give this a try. Make sure to try the fried pickles and the sweet potatoes smash Fries.

My son begged to go in. I'm not a meat eater so after some pleading I said okay. He got the Jalapeño Baja burger with regular fries and an Oreo shake. (Not a cheap date..geez kid) he finished everything. Let me repeat that... He. Finished. Everything. As a parent this is a rarity as my kids are picky eaters (hence my initial hesitation) and almost never finish their food. He said it was the best burger he has had in a long time and is already asking if we can go back with his brothers next time. Again... Not typical. The service was really good and the staff were friendly. They have a good selection of menu items.

Great options to create your own burger. I really like these types of places. Food comes out quickly. The biggest problem I have with the place is the overall setup and ambiance. It all looks and feels odd. The tile floors must have been cheap, because they're a bit slippery. Smash fries are awesome. It would be nice to have some dipping sauces and shoestring sweet potato fries like Burger 21.

Last night was our first time visiting the restaurant. The staff was very pleasant, helpful and very patient with us. My girlfriend and I are burger lovers, and the place was perfect. I also gotta say, the manager Jeff last night was AWESOME, very different from what we are use to seeing out thr, energetic and friendly. Please continue the great training and delicious food.

If this joint wants to survive around this area where there are many better burger joints, they need to step up their game. Service: very friendly. Decors: really nice, contempo, and clean. Food taste: this is where problem is, bland, nothing special, nothing makes this joint stands out and could entice customers to come back again.

Yeah, the food is good, its like another steak and shake instead there food is more expensive. But about the same as the other fast burger joints.

The wife had heard about Smashburger from a few of her coworkers so we thought we'd give them a try. We typically avoid burger franchises and tend to stick to locally owned businesses but because of what she was told about the food, we thought we'd give them a try. When we arrived, the first thing I noticed was that they chose an odd location in Waterford Lakes. If you have ever been to Waterford you know that some areas are harder than others to access in heavy traffic. They did not pick a good location to put their business in my opinion due to traffic flow and parking. The inside was rather large but there is one area with very few tables which seemed odd for a dining area of this size. You place your order and they give you a number and then your food is brought to you. She chose the regular Spicy Jalapeno Baja with a regular Buffalo Fires with a cup of water and I tried the Large Avocado Club with a regular smashfries and a Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake. $23.00 and change seemed a bit excessive for what we ordered so I was expecting some great food for this price. First I was brought my milkshake and I will admit, it was one of the best milkshakes I have ever tried. I have had this same style milkshake from several other places but this was the best PBnJ version I have had. The best part was how small pieces of the peanut butter came through the straw and melted on your tongue. Well done... My wife loved her burger but since Jalapeno's and I don't get along well, I took her word for it. Her favorite part was the fresh Jalapeno's. Her fries were well cooked but were far from "Buffalo style" because they skimped on the spicy seasoning. My burger was cooked well but... The mayo was overpowering the avocado and they did not spread out the avocado so it was just like a single lump. I had one bite where there was no mayo and that was great. 86 the mayo or just put it on the side guys. The smashfries had a great flavor but too much oil on them. A light toss with the rosemary oil would have been better. After our meal my wife noticed she forgot to give me a $2.00 off coupon when I was at the register. I let the cashier know and the manager came right over and took it off my meal. He handled the situation very well and I let him know about the quality of service one of his employees was providing to keep the dining area spotless. I was up front with him of the assessment of our dining experience and let him know I would be posting a review. He was very humble and seemed genuinely interested in what I will post. Summary: The food had some minor issues but nothing too severe but I just feel they have priced their food too high given that it is not a full service restaurant. I have trouble seeing this place making it long term given the competition in the area at the prices they offer.

First visit here, I ordered the classic smash with out tomato and onion. It came in a egg bun and this was a very good burger. It's a thin patty but to me it was full of flavor. Order the fries with olive oil, rosemary & garlic, they are like shoe string fries, they was good. Next time will try the spicy buffalo fries. I will back for sure. It beats 5 guys

You should try this place at least once. It's not the best burger I've had, but it is decent. As everyone has said before, the customer service is top notch at this place. I've been to a location in Colorado and probably had some slight nostalgia leading up to trying this place again. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the food. I had the regular cheeseburger with the fixings. It was bland. The fries on the other had were very good. A bit similar to steak and shake's, but they give you the option to shake things up by offering different toppings and flavors (like parmesan and rosemary, or buffalo style). And, It's not that as if the food was terrible, it was just that I've been to a few other burger places in the area that really do it well, like BurgerFi. In the end, I would return to this place if I were in the area, it just wouldn't be my first choice.

At Smashburger, the secret is in the smash. It starts with 100-percent fresh, never frozen, All-natural Certified Angus Beef and is smashed on a 400 degree flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the "better burger" experience, the delicious burgers are served on toasted artisan buns and topped with a selection of fresh produce, real cheeses, and high quality condiments. The menu is more than just burgers, as customers can enjoy a selection of tender marinated grilled or crispy chicken sandwiches and fresh tossed signature salads, along with a variety of irresistible sides. Some unique side items include the rosemary and garlic seasoned Smashfries, Haystack Onions, and Veggie Frites (flash-fried and seasoned carrot sticks and green beans). The restaurant will also serve a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages ranging from handspun shakes, root-beer floats in frosted mugs and beer. The East Colonial Drive location was the first location to open in Orlando. The second Orlando location on N. Alafaya Trail is 3000 square-feet and has dining room seating to accommodate 102 guests. In addition to seasoned "Smash Fries" and regular fries, the Sweet Potato Fries were crispy and delicious. The Veggie Frites are a healthier choice for those of you wanting to cut back a little. Of course, you can never go wrong with Fried Pickles. The salad was pretty tasty as well, if you are not up for a burger. One of my favorites was the BBQ, Bacon and Cheddar Burger with crispy fried onion strings. The Truffle Mushroom Swiss was a blissful burger to eat as well. For some spice in your life, the Spicy Jalapeno Baja Burger is where the heat is. It even has a chipotle bun. The Central Florida Smashburger with melted Wicked pimina cheese, fried green tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise & Gulden's spicy brown mustard on an egg bun was pretty damn good.

Pretty good burgers for a not bad price. Made my own delicious burger and order a regular size of French fries. Also ordered some "smash fries" (olive oil and Rosemary) which were good but kind of over whelming after you ate half of it. Nice staff, good food, would go again.

If you are a French fry and shake lover you must stop in. Smashburger offers the most delicious twist on typical American French fries. They toss them in olive oil and rosemary and they are delicious. There are a few other French fry options that I haven't had a chance to try. I can't say enough about the hand spun Haagen Dazs ice cream shakes. Hello cookies and cream.

Due to the amount of burger places around this area I was skeptical about this place. However, I am happily surprised with their product. I had the smash burger and I have to say that it was quite delicious. Taste Was excellent and the service was fast and helpful. Definitely get a smash burger before getting any burger from major chains in this are.

The food was great. The Burgers made a great meal. The Smash fries and Hot fries makes great sides with the burgers. My problem comes the service at this site. I have been to other Smashburger, and always had great service. My order taker was inattentive, and made several mistakes. I ordered a large custom burger, but only the Big smash burger with half my toppings missing. So, my recommendation is be very wary when going to this location, and check your orders when getting take out! Good luck!
