One of the only places nearby for coffee while in town for Orlando Makers Faire. Service was good, but the entire place smelled like a public bathroom, I do not know what is going on but it was gross. From what I understand the place has been remodeled so it looks nice new and hip, but they need to fix the bad smell in there. The "extra large" iced coffees were tiny. And they only offered us one type of cream, and that was skim milk. The coffee was OK.

3 Stars because they're still working out kinks, but there's potential! We stopped in for a date night and though we were bummed we couldn't sit on the rooftop area because it was raining we were super excited to try the new addition to Mills Park. There were plenty of employees there and they mentioned that they were in their fourth day of service. We ordered the meatball appetizer (Polpette) and a white sangria to start. The meatballs were a bit chewy. The server said the tomatoes used for the tomato sauce (which was very flavorful) originated on mount Vesuvius. The dish was topped with a delicate amount of cheese (Parmesan?) and basil, which complemented the sauce nicely. Next time, we'll probably try something off the $6 small plates happy hour menu. A highlight was definitely the white sangria, which had a light floral note (think St. Germaine's) that made it something I can't wait to try again this summer on the rooftop patio. For the main course we had the Burrata salad and Fontina and Prosciutto flatbread. We were presented with a Case of the Missing Tomatoes on the salad, but that was easily fixed. The greens were tossed in a subtle vinaigrette, topped with a huge ball of fresh melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella, and finished off with a balsamic drizzle. The crispy asparagus mixed in with the lettuce gave it a nice crunch. The prosciutto, however, was cut oddly thick, making it a little strenuous to eat. The flatbread was very rich, but tasty. The crust was crunchy, with just the right amount of flakeyness to it. Overall, the experience was nice and not bad for a restaurant's fourth day in business. I'll definitely be back in a while, and hope that gives them time to fine-tune the food and service, and to rethink the nightclub-inspired soundtrack.

I really wish I had read the comments before deciding to come. The place seemed very cool and looks as though it has potential to be great. I wanted to love it but this being my first experience I probably won't return. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The presentation was Instagram worthy but very lackluster and bland. Everything we tried, seemed like it was missing something from the recipe. We started off with calamari and fries as our appetizer, followed by a chicken panini and chicken florentine flatbread. I figured we couldn't go wrong with chicken but some how even that failed. We visited during what otherwise would be considered peak lunch hours but the restaurant was empty except for another couple that were halfway through their lunch. With that being said, I couldn't for the life of me understand why it took so long for our appetizer to arrive at our table! I hope the restaurant gets it together because like I said it seems to have potential to be great!

Like Colleen said, "I really want to love this place but..." I was super excited to see a coffee shop with a lovely open roof deck in the Mills50 but, well, a few things are off. First, I wasn't expecting to have to make it through face control to get to the rooftop for a Sunday brunch but we were told by the hostess that it was reserved for a private party. Which happened to be the event we'd been invited to (was this really a private party? I don't even know), so it would have been nice had she asked if we'd been invited to an event instead of rebuffing us. Awkward. Anyway, the rooftop is a nice space and has a definite Miami vibe. I started with coffee (tiny, but decent cappuccino) then transitioned to mimosas (which were all inconsistent in their juice to champagne ratio) and we ordered some chow. The fruit and cheese plate was okay, but my husband's veggie omelet which he'd ordered as it appeared to be a healthy choice was extremely oily. With one server for the entire roof, food unsurprisingly took a while. Glad to see the manager is reading these- we'll be back, so I'll look for improvement.

The concept is really unique and something that this area is missing. I like the idea of a late night spot with patio and rooftop seating where alcohol is not the only item on the menu. The atmosphere is very modern, but comfortable and the coffee is good and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, I've been twice and have experienced very slow and poor service both times. Getting seated with menus was difficult. The first time, the server lost my ticket and the second time I my order was incorrect. They're new and still working out the kinks, but servers seem to be very busy (and slow), and not at all knowledgeable about menu items and available sizes. The patio and rooftop are worth a return visit, but I'll wait until they find their grove before going back for a third time.

Tried out this place after passing by many, many times on my way to work. Got a deal from Travel Zoo for the brunch special and when me and my 3 other friends first got into the place the hostess was very accommodating, immediately honored the coupon with no hassle and told us to sit where ever we'd like. Not a whole lot of inside seating so if its hot out, be warned. The spread was really great, with your favorite brunch items fresh and hot, along with sweet breads and some good desserts. The cheesy potatoes & quiche were my absolute favorites. Roast beef was cooked mid-rare and very good, but it was hard to get a carver both times I went up to get some (same with the ham.) Shrimp cocktail was a great brunch treat too! The omelette bar could of been better, my friends' was way over done. Unlimited mimosas (pineapple or OJ) AND bloody mary's using Svedka and a heavy hand (really good and a bit on the spicier side which I really like!). Service was great, you can either order the mimosas or bloody mary's from the servers or go to a dedicated bar cart which had them freshly made (and you can get more than one at a time as well.) Me and girlfriend we will definitely go back.

I went here for the unlimited brunch on Sunday's. I didn't pay full price as my boyfriend and I found a voucher online. It gave two unlimited brunches for $45. I went with another couple who also used a voucher and they were very nice about letting us use two for one table. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the cheesy hash browns, quiche, eggs, and sausage. The hash browns were probably some of the best I've had, along with the cheese quiche as well. The sausage was great and excellently cooked. They had a nice selection of fresh fruit. I wasn't too keen on the dessert portion but was thoroughly satisfied with my brunch meal. They also have a mimosa and bloody mary bar. They are quite plentiful with the alcohol so you're definitely getting your money's worth. Try out the pineapple mimosa!

It's ok. Came for coffee and to catch up on a few things for work during morning hours. I saw a couple of other people with laptops and notebooks, and was disheartened there were no power outlets available. I realize this is not a co-working space, but there are many other coffee shops that realize people stop by for coffee to catch up on studies or work. That being said, this is not the place for work sessions. Maybe no outlets are available because they don't want people to hang out and work here??? The coffee was ok, and so was the service. I would go again, just to try other offerings.

The interior was charming and had a modern vibe with a black and red color scheme. We sat on the bottom floor and didn't look at the upstairs or the deck, it feels very Miami as previous commenters mentioned before. I like the atmosphere and the bar was very beautiful and they had a good coffee selection. However, I'm giving it two stars solely because the Prosciutto Fontina flatbread and the Spinach Pomegranate salad were both very enjoyable, but they took over twenty minutes to make on top of the restaurant being empty apart from one other table when we arrived. The service was a little slow, but our server apologized for our salad arriving after our flatbread (kind of odd seeing as it should take less time than the flatbread to prepare). The manager checked in at a few of the tables to ask how they experience was but skipped over ours when he made his rounds twice. Maybe it was our workout clothes? I'm not sure, but either way it was a little off-putting on top of an already flawed experience. Overall, it was mediocre at best due to service and the food taking a long time... Not sure if it's a place we would go to again and wouldn't recommend it if you were in the slightest hurry.

I know they had some issues in the beginning but every time I have been here the service has really been good. The coffee is wonderful and I love the atmosphere The food is great. OMG, try the burger. And the breakfast croissant sandwiches are great too. I'm excited to try their Sunday Brunch! I like having breakfast, coffee, and lunch meeting here because the people I meet with are always impressed. That says something!

While searching for a coffee shop we had not been to, my wife and I found Segafredo on Yelp and decided to go see what kind of coffee shop is was. We probably should have read some of the reviews but instead just plugged them into the navigator and off we went. When we first walked in, there was a host like you would expect to see at a restaurant and not in a coffee shop. To the left I noticed a bar which seemed a little odd for a place being advertised as a coffee shop. The host asked us if we were here for brunch and we informed him we were just checking the place out. The look and feel was that of a bar with a patio area and it did not even come across as a coffee shop to be blunt. We chose to see what was upstairs and when we opened the door to the roof top, you again felt like you were in a roof top bar and not in a coffee shop. We looked around and it was pretty apparent that this was a very "selective" group socializing and not the kind of people you expect to find in a coffee shop. NOBODY had coffee from what we saw but everybody seemed to have a drink of some sort that was alcohol based. I looked over the menu and it was nice but in all honesty this is NOT a coffee shop! This is a bar/restaurant that just happens to offer coffee. I might come back to check out the food if they make it past July. After reading the other reviews, I get the feeling they are more concerned with "Image" than they are with "Food Quality" and "Customer service" so I seriously doubt this place will last.

They are receiving 2 stars just as an "A" for a teeny bit of effort. I am so disappointed in this hugely potential for a successful, sexy, classy gathering venue for food, drinks, music and fun. The management and I need to have a serious sit down so I can give them a makeover on venue and restaurant / lounge vibe and service. First of all: it wasn't busy, in fact, it was decently steady and zero excuse for the lack of service we received (will attach photos) I went to the bar 3 times and waited while neglecting my friends just to wait and not even be acknowledged by the 2 bartenders with their back to the bar. I give up at this point of 3 tries at the bar and go back over to my group of girls I am with and dance, AHEM!!!!!! This is AFTER the sound system and 2 DJ's mix up 2 playlists - they were crossing lines with 2 different songs playing at the same time and then no sound at all. Serious buzz kill. IF I had a buzz. Yawn. Luckily my crew of friends are so amazing and fun! Still had a blast except I'm not done.... SO! The table we had was a disgusting mess with zero pre-bussing or bussing whatsoever. (GROSS). I head back to the bar to notice a couple who ACTUALLY got some bat service.... They kindly bought me a glass of wine but, when they asked the bartender for a glass of Cab (Hello! Easy!) ....... Wait for it........ They were out of Cab on a Friday night. Who is doing their inventory? And ordering? And stocking? Cab is the easiest wine to order safely at any bar (and I had already tried 3 times mind you --just to try and place an order for a drink... ANY ORDER AT THIS POINT!) ...... I finally get a glass of Chardonnay that was on point. I go back over to the table and it still hasn't been touched. I asked a sever to assist but, to even place my long awaited glass of wine (unreal) on the table I had to pre-bus the disgusting table. (See photos). ANYWAYS..... I love the venue BUT management and bar staff needs to seriously pull it together or else this will fail. I want to relax and have service when I am out, not manage the staff to assist me. Disappointed. La Originale in Miami is much better!!

Having lived in Europe and Miami, I am familiar with the Segafredo brand and while few have complained, I have fully enjoyed its versatility. This location is the nicest I've been to. Yes, you can find amazing coffee drinks that never disappointed a coffee snob like me, and yes you can enjoy a fun night out on the rooftop with great music from the resident DJ and even greater drinks from the friendly bartenders. I like my drinks simple but of quality and the bartenders here have never failed to impress me. To add to these qualities, I have recently tried their Sunday Brunch and guess what?! Amazing! Good price for quality food and drinks. Other brunches in that area do not even compare to theirs. And I know brunch very well, I've lived in Miami which is all about great brunches. This is like one of the great Miami brunches at a quarter of the price. I highly recommend this location.

In the words of my guy, "We are never going there again." It wasn't that it was bad, but it wasn't worth the money for the overall experience. Came on a Sunday before some errands in the neighborhood. Sign outside says Happy Hour 4-7 but apparently it's only during the week. So maybe take the sign down or specify Monday through Friday only. Sunday evening here was fairly empty, so I'm not sure what a typical night would be like. The weather was patio perfect but the upstairs area was closed and the first floor outdoor area was all in the shade. We came just for drinks but the hostess and server asked if we wanted to just look at the menu. That made me think that, as it appears, they are hurting for business. Especially business beyond coffee or cocktails. We tried a couple cocktails and while they were okay, they were not worth $12. $8 at best would be more reasonable maybe considering the contents of the drink. The biggest thing that irked me is that this place is just not a good fit for the area. Euro-dance-chill-wave music + march madness + gaudy interior. Like another yelper said, this may work in Miami but not in Mills. Maybe it would fair better downtown, The Mall at Millenia, or on I Drive where there is more upscale and or foreign clientele. I just do not see it lasting long term as is. Not that I wish them ill, but that we all see where this is going.

Good service. Decent, if uninspired food. Limited space. After enjoying a few drinks at Brass Tap across the way, my party came to Segafredo for dinner. The food items were average at best. Not bad, but not exceptional either. It took a while to get a table as there is limited space.

My friends and I headed to this coffee cafe for after dinner drinks. It was brand new! Downstair was a regular cafe--but you'll want to head upstairs. There's a rooftop lounge!! The atmosphere is very swanky--red and black couches and stringed lights. (And thank goodness for the heaters because this Florida chick is a wimp). I could easily see having a date night there. There was a food menu and drink menu. There were several different types of coffees and hot chocolates. I was full from dinner but I did taste one of my friends hot chocolate (with whipped cream) and it was delicious! This is definitely a step above your normal coffee shop!

I can't. ::insert cliche "i really want to love this place but...:: I live SO CLOSE that I was SURE this was going to be my BFF. However, it has let me down each and every chance I gave it. ::snookie whine:: 4 visits where 1 ended in having to walk out of one of those occasions because of zero service after 15 minutes. The time 4 of us had to get up and leave: Not even water after our server had taken our drink orders. Just sitting there with nothing for 15 minutes. It was on a Sunday and there was no wait, just lack of service. It was sad. We told our server we were leaving due to lack of service and she apologized. You would think with the outreach the management does on here that they would train their staff to not lose customers while they are actually IN the location. The other 3 were lacking in customer service as well. First time we arrived was opening weekend, opening night actually, so I let that time slide. We went up to the rooftop for a drink and there was no cocktail menu ready so we were provided with a HH menu - yelp.com/biz_photos/sega… (that had already ended) and we were told they would honor the HH prices since they didn't have other menus. Well, when the check came, no HH prices. We were in a hurry so we didn't have time to wait for it to get resolved. I know it was probably a minor oversight but it just wasn't a great start to my experiences. The other two times I gave them an opportunity to win me as a forever customer were two times when I walked in and went up to the bar to order coffee to go. The first time was within 5 minutes, so that is cool but I ordered the White Chocolate Carmel Latte and there was zero flavor. Just bitter and bland. I was super sad about that. The next time I went in for take out - I waited 15 MINUTES. 15 MINUTES for a mocha to go. What? There was only 5 people at the bar and only a handful of tables but apparently they only had one barista working on a Sunday afternoon. I was given a heads up it wouldn't be immediate as she was backed up. I got that, however, while I was waiting, there was someone the bartender had asked to help them and that person just walked around - not helping anyone. So I didn't get that. Also, while I was waiting at the end of the bar, I got to hear all of the communication of the staff - servers/bartender interaction and well, they didn't really care a customer was standing there. So I hear some complaining, which isn't huge but here I am, a customer, waiting on a coffee. Then the barista, after she was done serving everyone at the bar, went over to the cash register I was at and after a few minutes, the bartender came over and said, did you make the mocha to go? She said she didn't know there was an order, and they both asked me what size I wanted... even tho I already paid over 10 minutes ago and my receipt was right in front of us. Okay, so anyway I waiting, and got my mocha. Again, bland. Le sigh... Long story short. WOW, they need to work on service here. I haven't even had the chance to try the food and the coffee... meh. Another thing that kind of irk me: They have a rooftop - why not utilize it? It's hardly ever open in the daytime. But I am sure they are trying to figure out service before they get more people in there. Or so I hope.

Great little find! After going to Firebirds for happy hour my friend and I wanted some coffee. Luckily this place was super close. The tiramisu latte was delish! So good that we had seconds. Ross was wonderful and so attentive. Will definitely go back!

I wish I could give this a well-thought, thorough review but sadly I cannot. My party and I stopped in here yesterday afternoon for what we were hoping would be a relaxing, delicious lunch at a new Central Florida place. After being seated and eventually greeted by a server (who took drink orders at the time), 19 minutes after checking in on the app we still had not even received the drinks. We opted to leave. This was a horrible first impression and it's probably squashed any desire I have to return to give this place a second chance. Terrible, terrible for a newly opened business trying to get some local support.

We visited this past Friday night for after-dinner drinks and had a great experience. My wife and I entered, walking past the hostess at first expecting our group to just join our group who had gone in ahead of us. We didn't spot them. The hostess asked if we were looking for the big group that had just come in - they were upstairs. Up we go. The upstairs is a nice lounge area with lots of seating, a full bar, and a DJ. During our visit, the bar was staffed with three bartenders (plus one who helped out for a brief time). I dealt with three of those people, and they were all very polite and efficient at making the drinks. I will note that one of them kept forgetting to add the lemon to the Mills/50 Martini. Hopefully he wasn't messing up too many other drinks too bad. While we sat on some of the couches, some of the bartenders/staff would occasionally come by and clear some glasses/empties from the table. On one occasion, one of the bartenders took an order from us while we were seated and brought it back to the table for us. Over the group of us, we ordered a number of cocktails, beers, and coffee drinks, but no food. Everyone liked all of their drinks, even if some of them were slightly overpriced. My wife and I have this joke/pet peeve about tv shows and movies where the characters go to dance clubs with huge thumping music, but they can talk at a normal volume and hear each other just fine. Well, despite sitting next to the DJ (I was less than 5 feet from him and the speakers), we could all talk at a normal conversational level and hear each other perfectly. There was no yelling, or leaning over to hear better. The music was fairly typical house/lounge music - it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it makes for good a good background. Towards the end of our visit, a man who appeared to be a manager spoke with one of our friends. He asked how we liked the place and such and said that if we check in on social media next time we come and show it to the bartender, they'd give us a free shot (of something - I didn't catch what).

I went because I had a voucher from Travelzoo. If you use the travelzoo be careful the auto gratuity you and treat you like garbage. The food was decent the service was the worst. It is a new business with amateur employees at best. I watched the wait staff drop 2 drinks on patrons. The manager had no experience with the hospitality industry. It has a good concept and decent food however it needs an overhaul with that staff. I will go to fireside next time that is next door.

Three stars for the amazing flavor of their espresso and coffee. I had a macchiato and my husband had a regular American coffee and both had great flavor and good presentation. The outdoor area was a great place to enjoy some caffeine. Coming soon: rooftop sitting area. They are still in their soft launch and working on hiccups. They were really apologetic when my husband went back inside to check on our drinks that we had been waiting on for about 15 minutes. Their manager was really nice and brought us a muffin and pastry. I will go back again, but only when I have time to lounge. This isn't the place for a fast coffee... For now, at least.

Excellent food and coffee! Had a great time relaxing on their patio with a cup of coffee. The server was very nice, but there was a mistake in the kitchen causing my panini to get sent to another table. This made my food take quite a while, and we weren't informed of the mistake until the very end. The manager came out and comped my food for the wait, which was super nice. The food was DELICIOUS though. One of the best panini I have had since I went to Italy. Will definitely return!

It's a fun place to have happy hour with the girls. I here they have rooftop seating but it was closed the night I went. The happy hour specials were great. They make a great absolut mule, and the appetizers were good. You can overlook the spot because it's sandwiched between two other good restaurants with outdoor seating. I'm not going to lie, I almost stopped next door because it is so inviting. That area has some nice spots.

Lol This place might work in Miami when 90% of your customers are one-visit tourists but in the Mills area you only survive if you can get repeat customers. Poor management/leadership is the only possible culprit when a staff is this woefully unprepared despite being open for months already. The price points are trivially high, just like Miami. The service is ignorant and rude, just like Miami. Tries (and fails) to act like it has culture, just like Miami. And btw, it's 2015, people can see fake yelp reviews a mile away. It's an awesome building though- I can't wait until their lease is up and something worthwhile goes in there.

Tried Segrafredo out last night with a friend who wouldn't take No for an answer. It was 9:50pm (they closed at 10) I was starving and feared they would treat us badly for walking in so close to closing time. I was wrong. The food came out hot and excellent (my friend had a flatbread and i had the chicken pesto sandwich). We both enjoyed $5 wine night and the atmosphere that this place offers . I definitely feel like management has been paying attention to our yelp reviews, because there wasn't a flaw in the night, even though we were there well past closing time. I will definitely go back !

I used to love this place, but the last few times we have visited have been a nightmare. The coffee is great and so are the cocktails. However, the food and service are inconsistent. Some days everything is perfect and the next, terrible. I feel that you can tell that this place is run poorly even though it has all the potential to be great place to eat and hang out. It took them more than 40 minutes to make our breakfast sandwhiches when we were the only customers in the entire place. When the manager came down he said that the printer in the back was broken. Why this matters when our waitress was clearly getting on the cook to get moving, is beyond me. Not only did he not apologize or offer a comp., he merely shrugged and continued on his way. We ended up leaving without all of our food since we were running late to a meeting. My brother found a hair in his sandwhich and everyone complained about how bad the food was when we finally did get to eat our sad breakfast. Not sure if I will ever be returning to this place. Too bad the coffee is really great.

I love this place. I've been going since the very first day they opened, and I got Affogato late at night. Devine! I've taken friends and business connections there for lunch, breakfast and just coffee, and my wife and I sometimes stop in for coffee. I know the brand from Germany, where they have a few locations, and I'm so glad we have one in Orlando now. Best coffee I get in Orlando! I like some of the new artisan coffee places, but the Segafredo Espresso is still my favorite. But of course it's like that in all Segafredo franchises. About this location I also enjoy that I can take friends for drinks there, they have a great full bar, skilled bartenders, and the rooftop lounge is a huge plus. It's going to be wonderful in summer. I've had breakfast once, and lunch a bunch of times. I don't eat meat, but my friends say the burger is wonderful. I like the flatbreads, but usually I'm just eating pieces other people had ordered :) For myself I usually have salad with grilled salmon. They let you order your salad with exactly the ingredients you want, and I love how fresh everything tastes. But yes... it is the coffee that keeps me coming back, and the friendly service. They have a bunch of specialty coffee drinks, but I usually just get a cappuccino, dry. Or the tiramisu latte, but I ask them to just use half the milk they'd usually put in. That's the coffee drink that tastes like a fancy dessert. Even their decaf has great flavor. I know I go on and on... but I really love this place.

I am happy to report back and say I had a lovely second experience at Segafredo. The owner reached out to me with a sincere apology after reading my last review and urged me to come in again for a second shot. I'm glad I did! I stopped in for an early dinner with my boyfriend on a Friday night. It wasn't very busy inside and we were seated right away. We each ordered a cocktail and were pleased with them but thought they were slightly overpriced. We sampled several different appetizers and each one was tasty. Service was such an upgrade from my previous experience. Our server was polite, attentive, and knowledgeable. I'm happy the owners of Segafredo took our constructive criticism into account and improved their business.

Straight trash. If your good review can be bought by one shot of liquor... well then that's on you. This place is the reason I signed up for a Yelp account. After a few disappointing apps and high-priced, cheap beer, an employee brought the check and asked if each of the two of us wanted a free shot (of what?) in exchange for writing a positive review. I politely declined, since at the time, I had no reviewer account. He gave me a snarky, "FINE." and walked away, not thanking us for our patronage. That backfired a bit, eh? The atmosphere is cheesy. Completely inauthentic Euro-party feel, black and red furniture. Uhn-tiss, uhn-tiss music the whole time. Most of the staff is just fine, though severely undertrained. No knowledge of their (pathetic) beer list, and gave us not help with suggestions. "Eh, it depends what you like." (Duh.) The food is just below mediocre. The calamari (I hope not pig anus -- look it up!) tasted slightly freezer-burned and was overcooked. The prosciutto flatbread was chewy as if the bread was warmed in a microwave. The meat was sliced way thicker than I would expect on a flatbread. Beer selection is garbage. Unless you like Peroni or Corona. The entire experience was awful and very unbecoming of the neighborhood. The management seems to have no idea about Orlando, just wedging their gaudy, cafe-cum-club into an pretty cool community that is growing well and organically. The impression I got after a conversation is that they feel as if they're doing us a favor by being here. We won't be coming back. For fans of: Olive Garden, dragon-embroidered shirts, Mercedes-Benz C Series

I really love this concept & visited south beach location MANY times. it's unfortunate that staff can really ruin a good thing. case in point here. zero-little knowledge, indifferent & snooty. the hostess was the only smiling face on staff. looks great.. but definitely not a true representation of this brand unfortunately. may try back after the staff rotates or managerial change. back again a few weeks later...much better!

Food and Service (and price) Fantastic!!! Just went there for brunch. Got the quiche and the salmon panini (split both with my date). The quiche was honestly one of the best I've ever had - and I make my own. The salmon was cooked perfectly. Our server was very attentive and thoughtful but not annoying. We both had macchiatos (which are traditionally in small espresso cups) and when we were done she gave us some coffee in them as well. The chef also came around to our table and told us that if we ever wanted to customize anything he would be happy to accommodate in the future. We both thought the music being played by a DJ upstairs was a little out of place for the time of day. But the upstairs lounge area is ideal I would say for a Friday or Saturday night. For two specialty coffees and two entrées our total was $26! Point is we will definitely be going back!

Meh... Not impressed. This place has potential but the staff needs to be re-trained. We asked the server what beer they had, she replied with a with a short list that included an IPA. We asked which IPA it was since that's a type of beer, not a brand. Our server gave out an exasperated sigh and said "oh I don't know!". Seriously? She seemed so annoyed that we asked and instead of walking the 10 feet over to the bar and asking, she just told us to order it, that it would be fine. Wow... Great service to start! The bad service continued, never got our waters with our drinks as we had asked, never got a glass for that IPA, had to ask for a menu, we had empty glasses and she walked by several times without asking if we would like to order another drink. We had intended on staying for awhile and ordering food and more drinks but decided to leave and check out the other bars nearby instead. Glad we did because the bar next door was awesome! On another note, I don't know how this place can call themselves a restaurant/bar. They no longer serve wine by the glass except for one red and one white. Our server told us we could order a bottle, but that it wasn't working for them to serve by the glass so they stopped. We probably won't be back, too many other great options nearby to choose from to waste our time here again.

ehhhhhh. came here with a friend to enjoy a couple drinks and some food on the rooftop. nothing here excited me. from the fact that the rooftop bar seems to be facing the wrong direction (the balconies of apartments, rather than the trees and street in the other direction), to the strange and un-knowledgable bartender, to the mediocre food. everything here feels off. the too-loud club music with the gaudy black and red furniture is off-putting, not welcoming. if they are going for upscale, it is reading as cheap. there is room for about 8 people at the bar and the staff still seemed extremely stressed about the level of traffic. got a flatbread that was just kinda meh....nothing exciting and pretty bland for something with bacon AND garlic on it. not sure i would come back. this place doesn't fit the neighborhood, or me. there are plenty of other places to find better food, beer, wine, liquor, or coffee.

This place has so much going for it, and yet it's clear management is clueless. My first visit, for happy hour, I was greeted by a very friendly waiter who offered happy hour drink offers. The drinks were great but the person I was with wanted a beer. Most of the beer menu was sold out. So after one drink, we went over to the brass tap, who also had $5 happy hour food specials. Second visit. The only reason we went was because brass tap was packed and this place was empty. They have liquor and the brass tap doesn't, yet the place was empty on Friday night during happy hour. Crazy. The waitress read the happy hour specials to me. They were creative drinks and none of them were familiar, so I asked what was in them. I was literally read the recipe for how to make them, right down to the "1.5 ounces of citrus vodka, 1 ounce of cherry liquor..." Hilarious but evidence of untrained staff. This is the only place in mills park that doesn't have happy hour specials on food. And spending $11 on a plate of hummus is silly. The rooftop bar is adorable and a great spot for hangouts once it warms up but there is no table service, which is weird. This place just literally doesn't get it. I don't blame the staff because most of them are very friendly and are trying. This is probably a corporate mis-management, clueless from the top kinda problem. However, it drives me nuts when it seems so obvious why things aren't working, and how to fix them seems so easy.

Let's make it very clear that I want this location and concept to work. However, I still offer the following list of pros and cons: Keep in mind we have been twice. Once for rooftop cocktails and once for a bite: CONS: * The Staff is VERY undertrained, question themselves and have no idea what menu items are. * The downstairs bartender was not prepared to offer the drinks on the drink menu. None of the craft cocktails we had in the rooftop could be created downstairs. * The menu is proudly Italian - get ready to decipher so you don't over order the same tastes. * Ordered a salad and the salad we got met none of the descriptions on the menu and was filled with THICK prosciutto - overwhelming and underwhelming at the same time. * This restaurant is VERY OVER PRICED - we ordered a charcuterie, a panini press, a lemon drop and a salad and it was $53 without tip. WHAT?!? * Did I mention EXPENSIVE?! PROS * Awesome concept and great / different offering for Mills50 * Great decor, uniforms and understanding of their red/black branding. * The charcuterie meat is bountiful upon the serving. * Great cocktail and coffee mugs. * Willing hostess group * Great variety in different seating styles, indoor/out couches, high boy table booths and more.

Decent food and atmosphere, but terrible service. The manager cut all of the waitress's on Easter because she didn't "need" them. Took her 30 minutes to get our check, bartender had to come pick up my card after 10 more minutes waiting. Employees hang out around the place when they are off just generally bothering people. Head over to the Brass Tap across the courtyard or to Firebirds for a better time.

By appearances, it's a modern, hip Italian cafe and bar. Really wanted to like this place. However, menu selections do not match the concept and decor. Weird odor inside, not conducive to eating. We opted for outdoor lounge but the elevator music was annoying. Hope management makes changes because the place itself is so cute.

This place turned out to be a nice surprise. I loved the modern decor and outdoor covered seating. Food was good and service was very attentive and friendly. Our waitress was great--even helped with coffee suggestions (coffee menu is extensive)! This is a very nice little coffee cafe and I can't wait to come back and give the rooftop a shot one evening!

I don't know why the reviews are bad. The service is amazing, there is a European feel, good coffee, reasonable prices, lovely fun but not too loud even with a DJ. The food is "Italian bar food" --so antipasto, salads, snacks all better than good quality. Not a fine dining experience, isn't meant to be! For the prices, it's spot on. The best part was how well Rochelle our server knew her menu, her drinks and her COFFEE. Knowledgeable staff helps so much! My handsome companion flew in from Italy days ago and says he finally found better than decent coffee and grappa in America!! Great job, Rochelle. And BTW THE BARATTA is worth coming for alone!!!

Great little spot in Mills Park. They have food and wine to go along with the great selection of made to order coffee drinks. Open and breezy design makes every seat feel like a street side cafe spot. The service was fast and friendly and the mocha was one of the best I've had.

It's no secret. This restaurant is outstanding. The food is fresh and delicious. For appetizer we has the meatballs. Made with San Marzano tomato sauce they were delicious. We also ordered their gourmet hamburger with was fresh and delicious and big!! We also had Chicken Pesto Panini which was a "healthy" portion and very tasty. Their coffees are also amazing! Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.

Nice atmosphere, i love the outdoor space with sofas and tables too! They have a lounge area upstairs. The servers are very attentive. The food it was definitive good. I tried the hot chocolate and it was very rich. Will come back for sure.

I was hesitant to try this place because there are so many options for coffee or Italian food that I am already attached to; but I am SO GLAD I stopped in here for lunch. I ordered the chicken florentine flatbread, not only was it so delicious, it was more than I could even eat for lunch. It was cooked almost perfectly and the flavor was perfect. A guy sitting at the bar while I ordered told me that the coffee was well worth ordering, so I took his advice. I am extremely impressed. I'm already trying to plan a re-route to my morning drive to work just so I can get some coffee again!

I normally only write positive reviews but unfortunately this time I am not. My friend and I went for brunch and we were unimpressed. My friend called and asked if they had brunch and if they had unlimited mimosas, the hostess responded yes, it's $33. When we got there we overheard a server telling his table it was $38 for brunch with mimosas. Ok, fine, $5 is no big deal, if it was worth it. It unfortunately was not. The buffet was mediocre, the quiche was delicious and the chicken dish was good but everything else was sub-par. The mimosas were slow coming, we had to ask for refills and in my opinion when it's unlimited the server should just keep refilling until the guest says no thank you. I know that brunch is still fairly new so I might give them a couple months and try again but for $38 there wasn't enough variety. If you don't eat seafood it's not worth the money.

Decided to check out segafredo as I had a Travelzoo coupon for the brunch buffet with unlimited mimosas. Food was especially good, especially given that this was a buffet as opposed to made to order dishes. They did have a custom omelet station and the omelets were fluffy and well-prepared. Additionally, they had chilled shrimp that were HUGE and tasty. ( Not like the tiny popcorn shrimp one usually gets at buffets.... ) Ambience very nice. Sat outside with a warm Summer breeze blowing through. The one place where they could use some perking up would be on the waitstaff. Since this was a buffet, there wasn't all that much for the waitstaff to do. However we had to ask for utensils and napkins. Also, refills on the mimosas were interminably slow. Finally, I had to ask the manager to have the waitress bring our check over. Since the Travelzoo coupon forces one to pay 18% service charge, it probably appears to management that I endorse the service. I would not have left the full 18% had I been given a choice. I would/will go back but I do hope that management starts paying more attention to the quality and efficiency of the waitstaff.

Three strikes and you're OUT, Segafredo. Not once, not twice, but three times the overpriced, unappetizing food was a huge disappointment. Initially, blame was placed on the cafe's newness: tough and chewy Polpette meatballs along with wilted caesar salad is probably due to so-called kinks, was the thought. A couple months later, visit two: the lasagne had minimal ricotta cheese so it tasted like gummy pasta and the chicken prosciutto alfredo was loaded with chicken chunks but lacked sauce. Last visit was brunch: the omlette looked and tasted as though it was made in one large pan for the daily crowd, not individually. Apparently, many others were also sending theirs back and ordering something else. Here's a big hint: revise or seriously talk to the chief/cook about this cafeteria food. Things tasted better at Morrison's without paying this price. On a positive note: the servers are cheerful, efficient, and very helpful--they provide the two stars!

I will update this after I give the place another chance. Clearly opening week issues were at play. At least I hope. Asked for a small cappuccino to go ... 10 min later no sign of the cappuccino. Was told after waiting they were backed up. Probably should have said that up front. I was in a bit of a rush, so I asked for a coffee instead. They were extremely apologetic and refunded my money, which was much appreciated and the only reason I will give them another chance. Because the coffee I got was lukewarm at best, stale, and had almond milk instead of the cream I requested. I couldn't drink it. This is a clear sit down spot, which I figured out after the fact. Looks like a great place to get a fun coffee drink and relax. Will do that next time.

Segafredo is an excellent addition to Mills Ave. Travis and Carrie (owners) are wonderful people and the employees are happy and eager to serve you. This establishment is definitely one worth visiting. Don't listen to the negative reviews. Go see for yourself.

Bummer. Four stars for service. 2 1/2 for food. Folks at my office were dying to try this new place, so off we went for lunch today. Place was pretty empty, so we found it odd that the hostess/server said that they where low on lunch menus - 5 of us had to share 2 menus. Who the heck was using them?? .... It was dead! Ok, strange but whatever. Our server was very nice and attentive. We all liked her a lot. No complaints there. We each ordered something from each section of the menu to get a feel for the food. Caesar salad with added shrimp (shrimp were very tasty) , Pesto & Prosciutto Panini (he says it was rather good), hamburger was tall & yummy.. Though the fries were super greasy & not in a good way), another Caesar with grilled salmon... Said salmon was fresh & seasoned well...& mine (which happened to be the first dish out, was lukewarm at best (meatball flatbread) The cheese was almost congealed. How does this happen? Meatballs were under flavored. Didn't like it- didn't hate it. Overall, we left with mixed emotions. It was good (?)- maybe. It was bad (?) - maybe. We all agreed that we sure wouldn't be rushing back for the food. Coffee or booze, yes. NOW, even though we didn't order coffee, omg the drinks that I saw leaving looked OH SO GOOD!!!! I definitely will be back for a coffee fix one day! Side note- the atmosphere was sheik Italian. Though not my fave, I was diggin it. Someone put some $$$ into this place. Booths were CRAZY uncomfortable!!!! You couldn't "slide" across due to the tacky fabric, & either the table was too low or the booths were built too high, but I couldn't wait for lunch to be over so I could bend my elbows back into shape. Yikes! Not a place you would lounge around comfortably & sip your joe for sure. At least not in a booth that is. So, I'm 50/50 on this place. If someone suggests it again, ok I'll agree. It's worth another shot. Would I suggest it? Most likely not.... Not for food. They really need to step up their game if they wanna compete against some pretty big heavy weights in the area. I am happy that their lunch prices are very reasonable... About $8 for lunch is pretty good these days.... Give it a try!! You just might be surprised...but you'll see me walking away with my iced coffee in hand :)

Cool looking place, loved the location and design. Stopped in tonight for coffee and to check this place out. Really surprised they put four different and very random menus in front of us but none of them offered desserts or coffee cocktails. Trying to figure out what niche they are trying to fit into. We really enjoyed our experience with a great staff and bartender. Everyone was very helpful and nice. One change I would suggest is that they offer some fresh baked desserts to the coffee crowd. We would have totally jumped on an offer for a sweet to have with our coffees tonight. We'll come back again in a few months to see if they added anything exciting.

I think this place is okay. Not what I was expecting as they differ from the foreign locations I've been to. Just ran in to grab a coffee. Staff seemed sort of disorganized and I could over hear some problems about food orders from the servers but my coffee was decent.

Breakfast croissant with egg, mozzarella, crispy pancetta and green onion was great. The cappuccino was good, tasted like an average cappuccino but I'll try something else next time. Can't wait to try happy hour and lunch/dinner. They have a great menu, casual yet chic atmosphere and a swanky fun rooftop terrace. Overall, it was great

I had the absolute worst dining experience ever. The food was good but the service was unbelievably bad. I had made a reservation at least a week in advance. So they had full knowledge that we would be a large party. You would think that knowing that they would have given us a server that was experienced enough to handle our table. The matter in which she took our order was completely disorganized to the point that when it was time for us to get our checks she had no idea who had ordered what. Once we clarified what we had ordered she left us to go get our checks and we sat at the table for 45 minutes and still had not received our checks. We then went to management and they had the nerve to give us lame excuses as to why their service was so horrendous. After waiting another 25 minutes we finally received our checks and were able leave. There was no control, no organization to how this restaurant was run. From the management, the bartender and the server. A complete fail. What should have been a profitable night for them and fun night for us, became the worst experience that myself and all 40 other people we were with will never forget.

Stopped into Segefrado this morning for breakfast for the first time. Very nice looking establishment. Nice open feel with a Italian euro decor. We had coffee and breakfast sandwiches and a yogurt granola item. Everything tasted great and came out right away. The coffee and capacino here was amazing. Service was good. Very friendly and helpful. I know they just opened and staff could use a little training and knowledge but overall a great experience. I will be back.

I had high hopes for this new(ish) spot on Mills-50; unfortunately, those hopes were dashed from the moment we stepped inside. When we walked in, we awkwardly waited near the host/ess stand for a bit, until the hostess turned around on the stool on which she was perched to look at us blankly and state in a bored tone that we could sit anywhere. Rule #1--greet your customers. Rule #2--dont permit your hosts to sit at a counter with their backs to the door, unless you have a "please seat yourself" sign. We decided to sit at a booth near the rear of the restaurant, only to find that the booth we had selected had some remnant of a past customer's meal or beverage, still sticking to the table. Albeit the place was almost empty, the staff, or at least the hostess who decided to sit like a customer, couldnt be bothered to bus the tables. Rule #3--dont invite guests to seat themselves if all tables arent clean. Rule #4--don't sit around chatting unless all tables have been bussed and are customer-ready. The ambiance seemed nice, but a glance around the place revealed two lightbulbs --one on two of three chandeliers--had burned out. Rule #5--change your lightbulbs...chandeliers scream look at me, so be sure that they dont disappoint. As we looked over the menu, I asked the server about whether one of the dishes had a certain ingredient--he was clueless. The menu isnt very large, so that was a bit disappointing. He went to check and when he confirmed that it lacked the ingredient, he took our orders. A few minutes later he returned and asked me to make another selection because they were all out of the dish. Rule #6 --know the menu. Rule #7--know what you're out of; this boils down to poor communication between the kitchen and service staff. Hearing my mother's voice in my head, I excused myself to wash my hands. Much to my dismay, they were out of soap. Rule #8--NEVER run out of soap--it leaves customers wondering and watching to make sure the server assigned to them doesnt get the urge to use the restroom. When we flagged someone down to advise him that the restroom had no soap, the server seemed put out. Rule #9--when a customer advises that you are out of soap, apologize, rather than look put out by your possible health code violation. As we waited for our food, we heard the manager apologize profusely for messing up the adjacent table's order. It's not clear whether the table actually got to eat, as there was no food in front of them and the wine they were drinking was comped. Our server, though nice, was not coordinated. He dropped our silverware and spilled our drinks as he set them on the table -- placing the wrong drink in front of the wrong person. He removed plates without us being done with our food as well. Rules # 10,11 and 12--slow down, pay attention, and dont remove plates until the customer has confirmed s/he is done. The food itself wasn't bad--that said, they were flat breads, not anything crazy. Overall--the food was so-so and all the other stuff just made it seem like a floundering passenger on the "Hot Mess Express."

We have been several times for coffee to start our day. It's a short walk from our house so we were happy to have something like this that was so convenient. Latte's are very good-they taste much more like a local coffee shop than a Starbucks. A nice but limited offering of breakfast sandwiches had been available as well. Service is ok but being a newer location, you would hope that would improve over time. Some employees are nice and others act like they could care less. Unfortunately, it looks like we won't be going back for coffee again because someone made the genius idea to have an expresso/cocktail lounge that doesn't open until 11am. Who wants to wait for an expresso drink until11am? It's as smart as closing a cocktail lounge at 6pm. We'll see if that move is next.

Prior visiting Segafredo-Orlando i was a fan..., at least of the brand. Dropped by briefly yesterday around 1:30pm for my espresso. Cool place...great service, coffee... I personally don't care about all the specialty coffee drinks but get very frustrated if my simple espresso tastes crappy. Well it was "Segafredo-excellent"!!! I'll definitely come back to try the food and the night view on the rooftop and also recommend your cafe to my peeps? One question, though: Do you have coffee for sale?

Great coffee, probably one of the best cups of coffee in Orlando that I have ever had. Food is also awesome and I really like the atmosphere. Cocktails are great! Huge fan of their happy hour special. Can't beat a $5 drink and $5 appetizer! Very different from anything in the area but it is a nice change of scenery. Would totally recommend to anyone I meet.

I stopped by this place a half hour ago for breakfast and coffee. It was my first time here and didn't know if it's a self serve or what. There's were 3 attendants there, nobody greeted me or offered anything. I stayed for about 5 minutes just sitting in a booth. decided to leave and go some place else. I don't feel welcome.

We have been here about three times. The coffee is great. The staff is friendly and the owner comes out and talks to us to see how everything was and kindly accepts corrective criticism. This time we had the burger which is a double and it was amazing. Thank you Jim for listening to Richard...good luck!!

Attended Disco Brunch this past Sunday for the first time on the rooftop deck and had a great time. The music was so much fun and the staff made the experience. My food was just okay but the head bartender Amy gave me a free mimosa for it. My friend and I had a great time and will be returning

Poor service at 8:45am on a Saturday. Bartender didn't greet us and was visibly frustrated that I asked if I order at the bar or at a table. I sat down and waited with my wife for a few minutes for someone to take our order. The waitress passes by a couple times and we waited three minutes or so; the 2 other tables at the place must have been too much for the two workers to take care of. We gave up and went elsewhere. Too many other options to waste time here.

Well, second try for Friday Happy Hour. Wasn't too happy. By comparison, the new beer joint was packed. Firebird's bar and outdoor hangout was packed. This place...I counted fourteen employees total with about 5 customers downstairs, and about a dozen upstairs. It felt like a wake not a party so much so that a young lady sat all alone texting all the while, too enamored with her little device to acknowledge our small talk. Why do people go out to be in public and then bury their noses in their phones then go home and lament they can't seem to click with anyone? I also noticed couples reconnoitering the joint, then heading across the way to other lively venues. Our bartender took 15 minutes to make four cocktails; simple ones too, and when we asked for the drink special menu, she told us that it's still being compiled. What? The place has been under construction for months, and they could not get a drink menu ready for the joint all that time? And lastly, a person who seemed to be the manager broke the cardinal rule of restaurateur-ship, he sat at a table marked 'reserved' (for him no doubt) eating dinner! Not only that, he skulked around the floor staring at everyone including the few patrons that were there with a look that could kill. He didn't seem happy nor did he make others feel the same. Most managers I see walk around greeting their patrons happy that they are there. Not this gloomy pus. By comparison, we walked to Firebirds for dinner, and again, the place was jumping with a good mix of young and old in a lively atmosphere, and they had a fantastic drink menu full of Martinis, and other cool mixed drinks. So we drank, we ate, dropped 150 large, and then went to Segafredos for four Espressos for about four bucks a piece. Again, they'll have to sell a heck of a lot of coffee to make this place viable. Oh, and who ever heard of having a hostess, yes a hostess in an espresso bar? Must be a European thing... My last review was 3 stars, This one 2. Next one???

No one at the door when you walked in, walked around for a while until we just found our way upstairs. Terrible, loud music. Seriously, no one wants to listen to that, especially when it's so loud you can't hear your dining companion. We wanted to get a beer, they had nothing on draft, bottles only, of peroni, bud light, coors, barf city. Nothing even drinkable. I can't even imagine trying to eat here. This place is full of badly dressed, cheesy losers and belongs downtown. No thanks!

Hey Orlando, if you love Espresso/ Coffee, check out SegaFredo at Mills Park, they open at 7am, and they do a rooftop lounge after 4 PM that is unbelievable. They serve food as well, lite fare for breakfast from what I can tell...and other foods for lunch and after...If you love espresso that's where you need to be... Oh...,They have a full liquor bar too. If you're into 'drinking Chocolates', they have that too, CHOC, it's called. Sorry I didn't leave much for the imagination but this Italian Espresso Lounge is very cool and Rachel and I are happy to see it here,,,felt like a piece of Brasil found us as this was one of our favorite espressos in Brasil...Salut, Saude and here's to your Health!!

A beautiful afternoon in Orlando gave me the opportunity to try out Segafredo and their outdoor patio. Their bottomless American coffee was served nicely and very smooth. We had two salads for lunch, both of which were excellent (although mine was a little soggy with their tasty pomegranate dressing). Our server was friendly and accommodating and made us feel welcome to stay as long as we wanted. My two complaints were the very slow meal preparation from the kitchen. No excuse for waiting 30 minutes on salads when there were hardly any patrons. Second, we ended up leaving because a few guys showed up and started smoking cigars which was nauseating. Businesses need to learn that people still go out when smoking is prohibited but non-smokers, like me, will stay away from places that allow smoking and ruin the experience.

Awesome location, very easy to find with amazing service! Very impressed with our server Tiffany, she was so helpful and recommending the fontina + prosciutto flat bread and the gourmet burger which was perfect. I love the location. The ambiance is charming. The seating is comortable. The coffee and food is great. However, the service is slow and the staff is not knowledgeable about the menu. I stopped by here on my way to a concert on Saturday with a friend. We were immediately seated at the upstairs patio. We let the waitress know we were in a rush and our food came out very quickly and tasted amazing. The vibe was really cool and different for Orlando, the DJ was spinning house music and the upstairs terrace had a very cool and adult ambiance. The decor is everything you'd want in an outdoor patio lounge. Parking was ample and not an issue. We would have loved to stay there longer. I definitely look forward to stopping by for brunch. I have been saying for a long time that Orlando needs a place with a Miami vibe where you can have dinner or brunch and still feel like you are in a classy party atmosphere. I will definitely come here again.

This place is in a great location, with some rising competition between Firebirds and The Brass Tap. The space is all very modern, with an interesting set up of expresso machines in the middle of the bar. The food was outstanding; the calamari appetizer was perfectly cooked, for an entree, I had the Al Salmone, while it said a white sauce on the menu, it came with a spicy vodka sauce. I thought the vodka (while kinda odd with salmon) was delicious. The only slight drawbacks were the waiters lack of knowledge of the wine menu (we had the woodwork Cabernet, it was very good), the single ladies bathroom drew a line (I ended up using the men's bathroom) and the large window door wasn't fully latched and keep banging randomly throughout dinner. In the end, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very nice. We will be back!

Last night my party and I had the roof top all to ourselves for my boyfriends birthday and it's couldn't of turned out any better ! All the bartenders were very attentive and the drinks were superb ! This whole staff is a great staff and I can't wait to host more parties at this venue ! It's such a Great place to go to for a few drinks and some appetizers ! I was so pleased with everything and everyone who worked there !

Suck-a-fredo!!! I'm giving them 2 stars because the food was great. I had the meatball flatbread and rehab burger. The people in the kitchen know what they're doing! Now, they didn't get 5 stars because the service was horrible. We were there to celebrate my niece's 18th birthday and Mother's Day. Our waiter, I really hope it was his first day as a waiter. He kept disappearing and we were busy chatting so it's not like we were being impatient. We had to ask him multiple times to clear empty glasses from the table. He would take one and leave the other 3-4 glasses there. The only way to get him to clear more than one was to physically hand them to him. He did put in our order correctly but then brought part of it to the wrong table. They had to make a new meal for my brother-in-law so he basically watched us eat. No one apologized. While I was still eating the waiter who wouldn't clear glasses earlier tried to take my plate. At the end of our meal, some guy, who might have been the manager (he didn't introduce himself) came to sell us on coming to brunch again next weekend. Um, how about an apology for our screwed up meal and comp us the entree that was taken to the wrong table? One more thing that made this experience even worse, it was hot. Guys, it's Florida in May and I'm sitting in a leather booth. Close the damn windows!

I had high hopes for this place but after coming back on several different occasions, I am less than impressed with the service. The server seemed to have an attitude when comments were made about how slow the drinks/food were coming out and offered no apologies. They ran out of the ingredients to make the drinks and food we ordered and told us they had to go to the grocery store to get them! I give this place less than a year to stay in business.

I'm happy to have some good coffee in this area ... Hopefully they will work through some little issues ... Can't wait to see the progress.. in the meantime, go for good coffee ... That's what the place is for anyway...

Met a date here for the first time on Sunday afternoon and I had a pretty good experience. Weather was perfect! We sat on their roof deck, music was playing and the ambiance was really cool. They have a bar up there with seating as well as lounge areas to enjoy your company. Service was on point, although we did have different servers coming around asking the same question regarding our order. They may need to get just a little bit organized there. This is a great place to bring a date or just hang out with some friends. It seemed a bit trendy and prices were reasonable. I'm not aware of the happy hour specials so may need to check out before arriving. We did not get a chance to order food but did have some Mimosas /coffee and both were were delicious. If you are a coffee drinker, a great place to try out. Location is very easy to find as it is on the corner of Mills and Virginia. The area is up an coming so hopefully this place will continue to thrive. Parking is very convenient! I will definitely come back with a group of girlfriends.

AMAZING coffee. Really cool cocktail list. I'm going to come back just to try all the cocktails and I'm really excited about all the Moscow mule cocktails they have. The rooftop bar is very cool. Nice ambiance. Nothing like it here in Orlando. Great price on food and the hummus portion was huge. Happy hour was reasonably priced with drink and food specials. Glad there is a place I can go for breakfast, lunch, and dinner or just to lounge on the roof .

I really wanted to like this place, but my first experience as not great. To start, I sat at the bar and after asking for 3 different types of wine on their menu (they were out of each one) I finally selected one they had. Ok, no big deal, it's new, there are kinks. I then ordered the caprese appetizer and it was good, but nothing remarkable. I ended with a dessert which there was no name for, but it was good (something in a little cup, I know that's not helpful). Anyway, after leaving and driving home I added up the cost and it didn't make sense- $13 caprese, $8 glass of wine and a mystery dessert totalled to $29. So that means that little tiny cup of dessert was $8, which I assume can't be right. So I either was overcharged or their dessert was way overpriced. Either way, it left a bad taste in my mouth. It was also more of a "scene" which isn't really my thing, and isn't really Mills50's thing, so hopefully that changes. 3 stars for now, but will update again when I give it another whirl, after the hype dies down.

I was really excited about Segafredo coming to Orlando. I've been familiar with the franchise for about 10 years now. I was really excited that it was kind of a home away from home, I used to spend my whole days at this cafe when I lived in Europe. I was a little disappointed when I opened up the menu and all my favorite drinks were missing (Italian sodas and a variety of coffee based drinks). I ordered the buratta salad, a flat bread, and salmon pasta. The buratta salad had really good mozarella in it... However it wasn't buratta. The flat bread came out a little soggy. However the manager was eager to take care of the problem. And the pasta had good sauce on it, the salmon was a little dry. But I wasn't expecting great food at a Coffeeshop basically. However the prices were a little high in my opinion. A little disappointed about the service. We had empty dishes staying on our table for quite a while. Over all I would come back, I hope to see improvements on the service

I don't generally post reviews on yelp, but after seeing some of the negative, and in some cases, downright mean reviews on here I felt compelled to try to set the record straight. Ignore the negative reviews. This place is great. I've been coming here since they opened and I have yet to have what I would call a bad experience. The staff was always friendly and accommodating and the food and coffee were always delicious. When they first opened, admittedly service could be a little sluggish at times, but nothing I would consider out of the ordinary for a brand new restaurant still trying to work out the kinks and get into a groove. They definitely found that groove. I've been in the restaurant industry going on two decades now and I truly appreciate a place like segafredo where I can come and unwind after a stressful day at work. I was in there last night and the experience was wonderful. I was on the upstairs patio and was helped by the two bartenders there, one of whom was training. They were both charming, friendly, and accommodating and made me feel at home from the get-go. The food was excellent as always. Again, ignore the negative reviews and give this place a try. About the only criticism I could give this place is that the drinks are a bit pricey compared to the surrounding places in the neighborhood. Not really a big deal and definitely not something that would keep me from coming back. Segafredo is a welcome addition to this neighborhood.

coffee/espresso are great. bartenders are very friendly. we ordered 3 salads and they came out different than what the menu said. took them 3 times to get it right. i'll go back for coffee for sure but only when i have 10 minutes to spare to wait for it. didn't experience the lounge upstairs due to the rain.

I went for the Sunday Brunch. It was satisfactory for brunch. One nice thing is the made to order omelets. The $5 unlimited Mimosa was nice. Nice to have a separate option. Before you go, you should consider purchasing brunch for two at travelzoo.com . There is a $15 off coupon that is only valid if purchased in advance.

Strange concept, they have a lot going on. it's a coffee bar, a liquor bar, a club, a hookah bar. It's not a relaxing atmosphere like going to get a coffee at Starbucks. Definitely more of a club feel and we were there around 7pm on a Saturday night. The White Chocolate Caramel Latte was tasty. I was most concerned with the exposed air conditioning vents sweating all over the place. The floor and several tables were wet, but worse of all - the area where they make your coffee drinks was getting dripped on as well. Yes, we kept a close eye on them making the latte for that. I believe it was because they had one set of large doors open to the outside and it was warm/humid/rainy out. The two stars...yes, I don't want the dusty ac dropping into my drinks since it is dropping into where they make all drinks and store all supplies. Gross. Also it's a strange concept and for a coffee shop where you can kick Jack and relax, this wasn't it when surrounded by those doing shots.

Let's just say this place really took my mind for a spin. Between the music selection, atmosphere, penguin, coffee and food.. I'm not really sure what's going on here! Before visiting I looked at a few pictures of food items, the rooftop patio and decided to try it out. Big mistake. Although the food was tasty (only reason for two stars) it looked nothing like what was posted in the pictures and the patio is only open thurs-sun. I was hoping to try it out for their brunch on Sunday's but after asking our server about it she steered me in the opposite direction. You think after 6 months that a place like this would have it all figured out. Get some live music, open the doors up and take advantage of the potential cliental in that area. All in all, complete disappointment.

I soooo wanted to like this place that is literally right down the street. The coffee is okay and the food is meh, nothing really to recommend here. The staff is inexperienced at best. When they first opened we figured it was "working the kinks out" kinda stuff - I think we're done trying this place out, it's hopeless. The good news is, it's in a great neighborhood and there are a TON of other great places that deserve your business.

Really wanted to give a 3, but our waitress Erin did a nice job in correcting anything that was missed and making our first experience great. The space is also awesome! We have visited a number of times since that first experience, as we're both fans of the Aperol Spritz we discovered in Italy, and to be frank, many "Italian" restaurants don't have Aperol or know what it is. So that makes me happy that they have that drink here as a dedicated menu items. My other half is a latte person so he really enjoys coming for the espresso, too. The environment upstairs is my favorite, and now we only go up there when we visit. The music they play is not like anything you hear in typical Orlando restaurants. It's real, deep house music. Not pop, not jazz...it's deep house. I love it. Looking forward to more of that! I haven't sampled too much off of the menu yet, but I did like the meatball flatbread. It's big! I tend to visit in between meals, so I need to be sure next time I actually go for a larger meal. ;-) Since they've opened, the customer service seems to be improving more, but slowly. There tends to be a bit of a wait... And you can tell the servers are spread a bit thin, but mostly stay positive. Not sure if they were ready to open when they did, but I've enjoyed myself each time. A few things I would recommend for Segafredo to keep improving: -Make sure staff is setting expectations with customers of any delays if there is a delay on food or drinks. Check in often. -Have a hostess upstairs to greet people, or one of the servers greet and seat people. It's always awkward to walk around by yourself, especially as a first timer. -Have enough servers so that none of them are rushing all the time, and can calmly connect with, socialize and engage customers genuinely...and with a smile. -Try to keep the upstairs bar stocked with the same items available downstairs. -Have management check up on customers to see how things are going. I'll definitely be back soon and will update my rating in the future. Check this place out if you've never been!

I visited over the weekend but didn't eat there so my review is solely based off the coffee and atmosphere. Weird vibes going on in here. They don't seem to know what they are. Coffee shop, bar, restaurant, night club.... I walked inside to get coffee and wasn't sure where to order. The counters were messy with leftover brunch items. Club music was playing, and mind you I came here on midday Sunday. The location is strange... Seems like it would be a better fit by the tourist attractions or downtown. However, the coffee was actually really good. I had a cafe mocha and it was delicious. Will be back! But only for coffee to go.

I went and had their brunch buffet after purchasing a TravelZoo voucher. We didn't make a reservation, so we weren't able to secure a spot upstairs with the beautiful view, but the seats downstairs were cute enough. The brunch buffet had quite a decent spread. There were the usual bacon, eggs, hashbrown casserole, carving station, and so on. They have a fondue station for dessert, which is an awesome addition, if you have room. The voucher that we had included endless mimosas, and was a great value for that price, but we didn't get many of them with how busy the restaurant was. The cost for the brunch and food was probably in the middle with what other locals offered. The food was great but nothing spectacular. I would suggest giving it a shot if you can get into the upstairs lounge, but there are other places that I would suggest for the unlimited mimosas and for food during Sunday brunch.

I love the atmosphere here. They have a rooftop lounge which is great for having drinks, but not dinner as the seating up there is mostly couches with low coffee-like tables. I hear they have a DJ that plays up there during the later hours. The walls to this restaurant are giant doors which open up to the outside and we opted to sit at a big booth just at the corner so we got the a/c from the inside and still felt as though we were dining outside. They also have tables and booths completely outside on the patio as well. The decor is mostly black, white and red with a swanky feel. The service was a bit slow here, but luckily we were in no rush and were just enjoying our girl's night. Had I had somewhere to go afterwards though, I would have found this to be a bigger problem as we were there for almost 2 hours for dinner. Another problem I had was that our food was brought out as it was ready, rather than all at once, so some were enjoying their food before others as we did not want them to wait for everyone else's to come out. They have a good selection of specialty cocktails, as well as a beer and wine list. I got the Patron Squared margarita first which was small and half ice, but it was delicious. Not worth the $12.00 I paid for it though...maybe if it came in a larger glass. One of the other girls had the margarita with elderflower and mint in it and that was fantastic, but still, same issue as above. I ended up having the salmon dish with white wine sauce, garlic and tomato. I subbed the salmon for chicken. I asked for them to add spinach to my dish, but when it came out there was no spinach to be found. I decided not to bother and ask for some since things were taking so long. Overall, I thought the food was ok, nothing great. I also tried the meatballs, and those were decent. I wouldn't rave about this place, or come back for the food as it was nothing special, but I would return to have a couple drinks at their rooftop bar.

Confused. That's how I felt after my visit to Segafredo. It's a coffee shop, it's a bar, there's a club vibe and a DJ, they serve food, you're greeted by a hostess, there's a giant red mosaic penguin... there's a lot going on. A friend and I had drinks and apps at The Brass Tap and wandered over to Segafredo afterwards out of curiosity to grab some coffee and perhaps a bite to eat. When I say we wandered, I mean it. The building has a very distinctive design, but we couldn't figure out which door to use when we first wandered up. We walked in the front door and were greeted by the hostess for the evening. I currently hostess while in school, so I try not to be super awkward when I first walk into an establishment, but this was not successful. The host stand almost blocks your path, which is great if you're trying to keep people from seating themselves, but can be frustrating for a customer. I asked if we could just order coffee, we were directed to the bar, and from there the interactions were just so-so. The bartender was very tepid, and while I get that it can be frustrating to see a potential bill drop to nearly nil, ultimately everyone has a choice about what line of work they do and the service industry is notoriously hit-or-miss. The macchiatos we ordered were bitter, and while I figured I could point this out to the employees, I wasn't sure if this is how Italian espresso drinks are supposed to be. It appeared that our drinks were made by someone in training who later dropped and shattered some plates on the floor behind us. He and the hostess were friendly, so I'm guessing that bartender may have just been having an off night. I don't see myself making an effort to come back, unfortunately.

Try the rooftop space. This is a great place Mills 50. Great coffee choices and their food really compliments the mood. Great drink specials too. That is always a plus.

  • Luis M.

Segafredo is an excellent addition to Mills Ave. Travis and Carrie (owners) are wonderful people and the employees are happy and eager to serve you. This establishment is definitely one worth visiting. Don't listen to the negative reviews. Go see for yourself.

Next one???

  • ashley m.

I also had the walnut Manhattan which really hit the spot after a hard day of work! Can't wait to come back and try the deep eddy, everyone around us kept saying how good they were!

Segafredo is a good brand overseas. But not this one. Croppie food, good customer service, good coffee.
