Pretty cool place to eat and start a wonderful day at the Animal kingdom. Kids loved everything here. Not only dine under the trees, there are aquarium tanks with the tropical fish; the animals making sounds and the occasional thunders. Food is definitely better than the buffet or prefixed disney menu item. Kids got the pizza and popcorn shrimp which come with drinks. Adults decided to share a seafood combo with coconut shrimps, grilled tilapia, and cheese scallop/shrimp. In short, we finished everything quickly and had the appetite to get the volcano dessert. I really liked the seafood combo. The grilled fish fillet was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The cheese scallop was a great top for my side salad. The coconut shrimp was too sweet for me however my hubby liked those. The volcano dessert was huge and fancy. More than enough for all of us. Huge brownies with ice cream and whipped cream on the top. Perfect. Services were excellent. Remember the restrooms are under the rainbow. Really liked this place.

I've been to one other Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney in Anaheim, CA. I was not at all impressed. We had very few options on Animal Kingdom day due to the kids in our group. I highly recommend a reservation if you want to eat dinner here. Atmosphere: B- It's all very cool in here but definitely not up to Disney standards. If your kids are afraid of thunder, loud noises or large animal animatronics it might not be the best restaurant for them. One of the kids in our group was very afraid, it took him almost thirty minutes to relax. Food: B+ The food was so much better here than at Disneyland Resort. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it was very good. If you're using the Disney Dining Plan you get a lot of food for your money. Service: A+ This was our first time using the Dining plan at Disney and our server was so great at explaining it to us. He was very thorough from beginning to end of our meal. I wish I could remember his name because he was fantastic and super helpful! There's a large gift shop inside which was a great place to take my son to play and move around. He was getting very cranky at the end of the meal. (Total our experience was about two hours.) We would return here again for the kids but not without them. I feel like Rainforest Cafe has the ability to be something really amazing but it would require a bit of an overhaul, in my opinion. It is what it is.

The environment and decorations are fantastic. They spent millions decorating this place.... I don't understand why you would spend that kind of money on this environment and serve microwavable dollar food? ??

If you're looking for a "sane" and brutally honest opinion regarding this particular location, let me help you out a little. To be clear, this is the 'Animal Kingdom' location to which I'm referring and not downtown Disney's. The two are often and mistakenly referred to as the same. As I've pointed out numerous times in some of my Disney reviews; some people have their expectations set so ridiculously high when visiting anything on Disney property, that they're simply insatiable if the slightest thing falls outside their definition of perfection. This leads to a great deal of selective-memory once they return home and start to write their passive aggressive (I'll show them...Grrr!) reviews. Case in point. I've noticed a few reviews stating, "I waited 30 minutes for a seat." Okay, perhaps you did, but you neglected to mention it was the busiest time of year and you failed to phone in a reservation. Hardly the restaurants fault...Yes, if you visit a Disney park during peek season, you will probably have a wait (SHOCKER!) at some of the more popular attractions. However, I've visited numerous times in the slower seasons and walked in and grabbed a seat without issue. During the busy season, I've also taken advantage of guest services and concierge (available everywhere) and simply requested a quick reservation...you can even do it on your magic band account, now. A little planning goes a loooong way. This entitlement mentality baffles me to no end. I've actually seen people complain (within these pages) that they had to walk from the parking lot to this restaurant. Are you out of your mind?! Really?! Did you expect a complimentary scooter? Okay, let's move on to food. Look at a few of these reviews. "I had to wait 20 minutes." Okay, so what? Yes, you're a unique snowflake and you had to wait 20 minutes to be served at one of the busiest theme parks in central Florida. Again, if you're visiting during the busiest time of year, you probably did have a wait that was slightly longer than your favorite restaurant back home. If you visit in the off season things move a little more quickly. The point I'm getting at here, is it's all relative. Your vacation will go so much better if you take a breath and dial it back a couple notches. 90% of people who visit here go for the experience and know what they're getting. Let me bottom line it. You're eating in a fake plant forest with animatronic monkeys and shit. It's cute-kids love it. Good, cheeky fun. But, judging by some of these reviews, it's almost as people were expecting Jurassic Park! The food here is akin to Applebees, Olive Garden, that sort of thing... Chef Bobby Flay won't be serving you a rack of lamb next to the rubber elephant that your kid is screaming to take home. But, then again; you're probably sane and weren't expecting that, were you? All you want to know is, "is this a cool place to eat for the money?" The answer is, yes. If you're visiting during the busy season, call ahead and make a simple reservation. They're very accommodating. If you happen to have to wait more than 5 minutes for your food, there's plenty to look at. I particularly enjoy the Beastly Burger and my wife goes for the Portabella Wrap. Seriously, a few of these people just need to take their back pills and have a nap. Go, have fun, smile! -Neil NOTE: Be sure and follow me on Yelp for all my Disney reviews. I'm updating a number of them, now. If you click just under my name to the left, a little icon pops up for "Follow this reviewer"...yep, click that and we'll be buds! Seriously, do it... I'm shallow and need that sort of validation in my life.

I was going to give 3 stars until one of party members got severly sick on the food. He had the steak and shrimp so beware! He stayed home all day and missed a full day in the Disney Park with our family. He was stuck running back and forth to the bathroom with both ends on fire. Not to mention the food was hit or miss. We loved some entrees and sides and disliked others: We had a Steak that was way too well done for being a medium well. There was no pink in the middle. We tried the cedar plank Salmon with gree nbeans and rice. The salmon was bland, it wasn't my cup of tea and I wish it had a sauce on the side for more flavor. The grean beans where delicoius but the rice was very dry. We got a Shrimp and fish entree which was very good. Make sure you try the cheesy shrimp scallop dish-this was everyone's favorite. Their Burgers are good. No complaints here. We got the Volcano dessert -an ice cream, brownie ,and whip cream which the waitress brings screaming at the top of her lungs "Volcano!". Too funny! If you bring little kiddies the experience of being here is very fun. Our 10 years old loved the random thunder storms that fill up the restaurant (if you hate noise, run from this place), not to mention random animals screeches heard throughout. He loved the waterfalls, fish tanks, talking animals and moving animals throughout. Our waitress even encouraged him to walk around to the empy spots in the restuarnt to take it all in (how sweet). They have a cool bar with a mushroom roof & animal bar stool legs. Again cool atmosphere (but loud) which deserves 5 stars. Overall if our member had not gotten sick, the food would get 3 stars for being hit or miss which isn't too shabby. After reading past reviews, I see they need to fix their food standards. We aren't the only ones with such a sad ending.

Had advanced dining reservations, was ready to seat party as soon as we checked in. That unfortunately was the highlight of the experience. Server took drink orders shortly after sitting down and brought them promptly. Entrée order was taken as soon as we were ready. 2 of the party chose an appetizer sampler to share as their meal and my 19 year old son asked for the nachos for 2 as his meal. Nachos were not brought with the rest of the food and they tried on multiple occasions to give us a second sampler platter. Later we found out (on the receipt it deducted the second platter as server error) somehow the order was entered as 2 of the platters and 1 nachos but yet we still had a lengthy delay in receiving the nachos. Refills on drinks were incorrect for 2 of the party at least once. Food itself was good. I had the Brazilian Kabob (2 Beef Kabobs with chimachurri sauce and shrimp & vegetable kabob served over rice). Beef was seasoned well. Tomatoes and cucumbers salad was warm due to being served on the same plate. Taste of Caribbean platter, Appetizers platter and Nachos were also good according to the rest of party. Despite food being very good, with the server issues I doubt we will be back. Too many other choices inside the theme park.

I had high hopes for this place. We have one close my home in MA so i was excited since i had never been before. The rainforest design and atmosphere was very real. Cute animation for kids. Large fish tank, amd cute zebra/giraffee chairs by the bar. I ordered a mojito which was ok but could have been a bit stronger considering the price. Our reservation waig time was prompt too. we sat down to realize they only take disney table service not quick serves so we had to pay out of pocket. That was a downside. Next we ordered..figured we wld have an app and finish drink while we were there, well waitress took awhile to take order, nachos came out and they were like ice. We had one bite and decided for $13-17 we dont want cold food. So we sent them back for a new order...another 15 minute wait. By that time my family had finished their meals. We got so sick of waiting that we spoke to manager and cancelled the order. Waste of time waste of $. May be a good place OUTSIDE of Animal Kingdom in Disney but def iffy about going again.

Loved this place. The prices weren't too bad considering it is a tourist attraction as well. The scenery in here makes you feel like you are really in a rain forest. The animals come to life when it storms... cute! My niece had a strawberry banana smoothie and kept wanting to back our entire trip to get another one. The wait staff was attentive and there is a gift shop at the exit. Fun and yummy too. If you get a chance to go to one of their locations in your travels... do it!

It is your normal Rainforest Café. But, the location is what makes it stand out! The Animal Kingdom does not have a lot of great choices for food. This is right at the entrance to the park. After our long day at the park, we chose to eat here as we were leaving. The food was good, the service was good, and the atmosphere is always fun for kiddos!

We always have to eat here every time we have visited Animal Kingdom as my son absolutely loves this place. We have put up with be mediocre food in the past. This will be the last time we eat here. I got a chicken Cesar salad and couldn't eat much of it as the chicken was burned and dry - couldn't find the waitress to get something different. Even my son , who orders a cheeseburger, made the comment that he wouldn't have to come back and didn't eat his meal. Which is unfortunate when the bill is almost $80 for 2 adults and 2 kids (not young enough to order off of the kids menu, though). We didn't even get an appetizer or dessert and two of us got water to drink. I will say, it is a pretty neat experience to see. I would recommend just walking around the restaurant and find somewhere else to eat. It does get very loud, so if you have kids be aware of this.

Came here on a busy afternoon after all the rides at Animal Kingdom. Had no prior reservations but the bar is open for immediate seating. As soon as I sat down, the waitress gave me a glass of water & in 2 mins she took my order. She knew the menu well & recommended the salmon. In less than 10 mins my plate arrived. The salmon on cedar plank was so fresh & tasty. Along with the carribean rice I indulged on every bite. That was fast efficient service.

So the saga is going to continue. I was contacted by Landry's district manager Marty Sherman about my complaint due to my poor experience for my birthday dinner. He was calling me direct since the *manager of the restaurant failed to call me within 2-3 weeks following my complaint* (no surprise there because that was likely the prick that tried to shame me for not eating raw hamburger meat as he dropped it on my table). He left me a message, I called back at the number he left, the girl that answered told me he wasn't at that location and to call back later. I asked her to tell him I called and to give my name. He called me again two weeks later and I promptly replied his call (dropping everything at work to do so) and again the man was out. I left a voicemail this time after asking to be transferred. I told him my work schedule and when I was best reached... He never called again. I'm in the middle of life and a move to a new company in the area. I don't have time to chase people around who have no desire to really take care of a customer. Never. Going. Back. Save the money and eat in the park. You will pay the same price, but not have to put up with the terrible location and poor customer service. If you MUST drop money into this company go to the one at Downtown Disney. They at least seem to care.

Ok, I think that I am going to be in the minority with this review but it was not all that is was cracked up to be especially for the price that you pay to eat and experience it. The food was the same that you could find at any chain restuarant and should have done that instead of paying the big tab that we did because of the name of the rainforest cafe. The decor was pretty cool to look at but when waiting forever for anything to get to your table gets annoying after a period of time honestly. Even my son who was looking around at first was like, ok I'm bored. At this location our waitress was fairly slow and not paying much attention to us seeing as to how it was our first time and when we asked for some recommendations she was blah at best. I would personally recommend stepping outside of the park to eat and come back .. it will save you about a hundred clams. I think it should be a ride or something you walk through to experience it but not sit and eat and live through ;) Oh well .. it was the only thing we had on our vacation that was totally not worth it.

Terrible just terrible. I know Disney is the not the place for a good meal but with the long wait for a table I was expecting better food here. I ordered the Natural Vegetarian burger and it was inedible. It was tasteless mush. Probably ate 3 to 4 bites of it. Waiter didn't even ask if there's a problem when he took it away because he knew..... My daughter had the kids' pizza and it was a frozen pizza! Pizza was cooked but it was from a frozen, processed pizza. Seriously! People are lining up to eat this garbage! Now we know to walk on by next time. Such a shame they have such low regard for their customers.

My wife and I use to love this place but the service has gone down hill. When arriving. We were greeted by someone that seemed to not care at all and barely spoke just pointed and seemed bother that we were there. Not a smile not a welcome. Just go stand over there. When were taken to our super small table it was completely dirty and we were one of the first reservations of the day. So it must have been dirty from the previous day. Salt all over the table and one chair was covered in jelly or some liquid and syrup. We asked for to change out that one chair and instead of cleaning it they put it at another table and gave us another table. Good luck to their next victim. Once we sat down we ordered and when they bought the coffee the waitress splashed hot burning coffee all over my arm and shirt. My wife went to the bathroom to wash up before eating. The door was broken and the soap dispenser unloaded on her and all over her $30 brand new Disney shirt. Nice. When the food finally came over 40 minutes later which very long for breakfast food it was ok but not worth all the hassle. This will be our last time here. The service needs to be retrained or fired. There is no Disney spirit in the air at all. They need to close this place down and put up something that will reenergize the park and visitors to return. Would not recommend

The Rainforest Cafe was just ok - itw as burgers and such, good but not great. The ambiance is what will keep me going back, it was such a cool atmosphere! We used our Disney Dining Plan and ate like kings!

I have to say I liked the Rainforest Café more than I thought I would. I knew that I was going there more for the atmosphere and the novelty for my kids than anything, but the food was actually pretty good. I had the Beastly Burger, which is a double cheeseburger and much bigger than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised because it was a really good burger. The place itself is nice. My daughter really liked the scavenger hunt on her kids menu where she looked for different animals around the restaurant. It really distracts the kids and makes waiting for your food easier. The whole theme is done very well. It is a little loud with the rainforest sounds, but with small children a quiet restaurant is not always desirable. Overall it was a fun experience that was worth having. The prices are not crazy and the food is pretty good.

My boyfriend and I recently went here for date night and the food and service was absolutely spectacular. I was skeptical at first about going to this particular location as I've heard some real horror stories about it, but I'm convinced that the staff has been working very hard to get it together and our server was one of the friendliest and nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Everything was cooked to perfection and made it out to the table in a timely manner, without all arriving at once and on top of everything. Would definitely recommend.

Ahhh the sounds of the Rain Forest Cafe are so intriguing. The moving animals, the screeches from the swinging monkeys, the calls from the elephants...who wouldn't want to give it a try. While my family & I were leisurely looking at the menu trying to decide what food items to order my husband and I found this to be a perfect opportunity to get our drink on. I have no idea what he ordered, but I got the strawberry cooler (I think that was the name of it) and let me tell you, I have tried probably thousands of different mixed drinks, and this is by far 1 of the best I have ever had. If I had access to these back in my partying days, I'd be carried out of the club every Friday & Saturday night. That's right!! They are that delicious. Man, I wish I had one right now! Anywho... The food, unlike my super go go gadget wonderfully flavored strawberry drink, was NOT packed full of wonderful tasty goodness. It was very blah, uneventful and disappointing. I ordered the volcanic salad. Honestly, it was so bland I dont even remember what was in it. My kids got the usual, chicken fingers, they didn't finish their food. Said it was OK. Not any better than regular fast food. My husband said his food was edible but he was not impressed either. Moral of the story: Go here for great drinks but do not expect to get great food. if it weren't for their DYNO-MITE drinks I would never go back.

The environment at Rainforest Cafe is exciting at first, but it gets annoying pretty quickly. However, children will love it here. I don't know how their servers do it. The menu is basic and unexciting, with "everyone-loves-it" favorites. The waitress was great though, and food didn't take too long. My salmon was good but way WAY over-priced. I wouldn't come here for a special occasion. It's overrated for sure.

This rainforest cafe has yummy food and a fun atmosphere! The chimi cha chas are really good (southwestern egg rolls) and the margarita I got was nice and strong! The service was great and friendly, and the restaurant was very clean. It's a great place to go unwind after the parks!

I haven't eaten here in years due to a subpar experience. I should have listened to my inner voice, but I decided to try it again. The server was very enthusiastic and helpful, but the food came to me at room temperature. Nasty. The plate itself was actually hot but the food was far from it. It was like they had it sitting around the kitchen then decided to put it on a hot plate at the last second. It will be a long time before I go back to this dump.

My husband and I ate dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. We had reservations and arrived a tad late, the Rainforest Cafe seated us though, which was great. Our seats were fairly comfortable. We had a decent size table and were not seated too close to other guests. We ordered hamburgers. The server was very friendly and accommodating. The burgers came out in a timely fashion and they were very good, not excellent, good though. Great restaurant, we really loved the storm eruptions and live action from all the animals. We'll definitely be coming back. Great tourist attraction for those who love a little entertainment with their meal. Perfect restaurant for the Orlando area.

For some reason I think I'm supposed to see Tarzan and Jane uniforms and this place. However, what I found was resort style uniforms with a plethora of plants, fish, and animals that seem to have tantrums every so often. To me it seems as if the animals are lip synching, because the elephants were not moving their mouths in time with the actual elephant sounds. I can see how this could get really old really quick. However, for children, this might be the most fantastic thing on earth. I was a bit skeptical about what I would find to be here as a vegetarian, however I was very surprised with the natural Burger I ordered. yelp.com/biz_photos/h3dc… It is made of chick peas, with spices, and it has a guacamole sauce on top. I decided to swap out the french fries for a roasted vegetables, and a side of broccoli. The vegetables were done very nicely, and I also enjoyed the broccoli and that there was no issue with substituting these items. The burger itself was surprisingly good, it was not dry which seems to be the issue with the lot of veggie burgers at restaurants. We were also served a volcano dessert because there was a person in our party who had a birthday. I think they really enjoyed it. Coloring books and crayons are also provided for the kids in the party. I was satisfied with my meal, and I would go again if I just happen to be at the park, however this would not be my go to place for a meal. the store here is full of crap to clutter up your living space.

Worst experience at a rainforest cafe ever! What ever you do don't get the waiter Tony he was soooo rude to my family and I. He completely ignored us for a while then we waited over 30 min to for him take our order and when he did take my order I couldn't hear him then he shouted HEY and put his hand in my face. I felt so uncomfortable I had to excuse myself. Whatever you do don't get the waiter Tony.

Eating at Rainforest Cafe is like eating at a Hard Rock Cafe. The food is the same at all chains and you pay for the atmosphere. The food at this Rainforest was good and the service was really great. Can't ask for much more than that. This Rainforest Cafe is in a great location and perfect if you have picky eaters with you.

If you choose to dine at the Rainforest Cafe adjacent to Disney's Animal Kingdom you are probably already aware of what you're getting yourself in to. There is no need for me to complain about how loud it is in here or how it's so dark you can't read the menu or that it's more chaotic than leaving Epcot after Illuminations. It is what it is and most people understand what they're getting themselves in to. This location is fairly easy to get in to if you go for lunch and go early... which means leaving the AK theme park. (hint: they have their own entrance/exit to the Animal Kingdom theme park). We checked in right at 11:10am and the place was empty. That won't get you a table right away though. The RF Cafe has an annoying habit of making people wait, even when they're not busy. It's a bit pompous but whatever. After 15 minutes of staring at the dirty fish tanks we were seated in the empty restaurant. Our Server, Georgia, was fantastic. Obviously well trained and most likely a veteran. You don't go to these restaurants for the food. You go because A. You don't know any better. B. You need air conditioning and you need it fast. or C. You really enjoy dining in a jungle setting with rubber monkeys screeching in your ear. We learned a long time ago to stick to the basics at these types of restaurants (including it's sister restaurant TRex). Don't bother with ribs are barbecued chicken. Order a beer and burger. Don't try a stir fry hoping for the best. Order chicken strips. Or do what we always do: Split a combo appetizer. The kids menu is good. Really good. And expansive. Your kids will be happy. Drinks are refilled quickly. Drink away! And never forget: Go Early!!!

We weren't sure how this meal would be due to it being a chain restaurant and somewhat similar to an Applebee's, but boy were we wrong. Out of all the places we dined this was our favorite. Our kids loved the animals and the rain showers. The ribs were to die for. We got the flaming volcano desert at the end which was a perfect ending to a great meal at the Animal Kingdom! We will be back next month :)

Am I the first one to comment on the delightfulness of it's atmosphere? It really is a surprise and has lived up to the expectations of the consumers to that area. The only other restaurant with an atmosphere to this caliber would be T-Rex, and on a side-by-side comparison I would say they are about even. The food is ok. When judging the overall experience of the restaurant, atmosphere takes the cake while the food gets naturally overpriced, as you would expect from a touristy area. Something that I would highly recommend experiencing at least once.

The food is good, as expected with any rainforest cafe, however the staff has been stretched thin, waiters are both waiting on tables while also bussing tables. Expect long waits with little crowd, and in our case having to place your order several times, along with lapses in accuracy due to disorientation.

I need a shirt that says, I went all the way to Disney world and all I did was dine at a corny chain I can find anywhere else in America. I'm mostly bitter I was forced to go here. At 9pm on a Wednesday, all the kiddies were still out, and this place did not have a line longer than 10 minutes, so we dined here. The new Salmon with Orzo was actually pretty good. The ambiance, well it was the ambiance you'd expect, and you'd expect to hate it.... Why oh Why, did we come here?

I tend to nostalgia hard over places like this so we couldn't resist. The service and good and the food was alright. We split an order of the onion rings as an appetizer and for my meal I had the Rainforest Natural Burger which is supposed to be a "meatless patty of brown rice and vegetables, served with tomatoes, red onions, fresh spinach, and greens tossed with balsamic vinaigrette and served on a toasted bun with spicy Safari sauce." Okay so I didn't have any of the sauces... it was just the patty and some guacamole. I could have sworn that the guac had bacon bits, but the server said that it was completely meat free. I'm opposed to meat, but for someone who might be, you might want to be cautious. I opted to have steamed broccoli as my side so I don't feel like I did too much damage. My BF on the other hand had the Taste of the Islands which was coconut shrimp, blackened Tilapia topped with mango salsa and dynamite scallops/shrimps. The tilapia was good but the dynamite shrimps and scallops is code for "vat of butter and cream sauce with some scallops and shrimps floating in it." The food sure isn't healthy, but you don't really come here to be healthy either. It's okay... but ah yeah. You might want to skip it if you're going for a better dining experience.

Its nothing fancy, nothing spectacular. theres not too many choices to eat at in animal kingdom. we chose rainforest cafe since we enjoyed the one in athlantic city. I expected this one to be just like it if not better. I was disappointed to say the least. Maybe it was just me but the decor of the place looks like it needs some replacement. everything is pretty dusty looking, outdated. even the animals that they use in the restuarant seem like old technology now. You would think being at a major tourist attraction like disney they would make sure this location is in tip top shape. as for food, it wasnt bad, i got the pot roast and was happy with my meal. Took a little long to come out. Our server was great. young girl, helped my daughter feel a little better after being freaked out by the gorilla behind her after it screams in your ear. Place is a little hectic at times, but its what you expect with a rainforest cafe. be forewarned, there is not a whole lot to choose from in animal kingdom in terms of sit down eating. definately do your research on the different review sites to get an idea exactly where you want to go. maybe if this location was updated, i would be able to give it more praise, but until then, its a solid 3 star place.

The food is good but of course overpriced. We had an inexperienced waitress and an uncaring manager (heavy set balding pinkish shirt). We waited forever to get waited on and forever just to get change back from the check. Never again!

As you walk in the Africa jungle, to find an anaconda hanging over your head, you look deep, and what do you see a rain forest , not the real one but the restaurant . LoL Where you can enjoy a great meal and drink, hear loud animal sound as you eat your meal your tour guide pass once in a while to see if you are OK. in this wonder of animal sound as you think of the day you had at Animal kingdom. Just love it!

We've only eaten at this particular Rainforest Cafe once. We generally dine at the one at Downtown Disney Marketplace and this one is located at Disney's Animal Kingdom. You can enter restaurant either from outside the Park or inside the Park. On the day we dined here, we had been at The Animal Kingdom for a while and weren't in the mood for lunch inside the Park. Knowing how huge the nacho appetizer is here, hubby and I decided to head in and share the nachos for lunch. We knew we were going to have a huge dinner that night because we had reservations for Disney's Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. We were seated immediately by a friendly hostess. They were not busy at all. Our server was equally as friendly. She stayed on top of keeping our drinks filled to the top. The nachos were yummy and filling. It was a good break from the Park for a little while. It was especially nice because it was slow and we actually got to get away from children for a while. Although, if you go, I wouldn't necessarily expect it to be that way. We were also there during the off-season. I think the atmosphere is great. I love the fish tanks, the thunderstorms, and the apes jumping up & down along with the elephants roaring every 15 minutes or so. I think it's all put together very nicely and to me it doesn't look as though Michael's had been raided for the foliage.

RFC at Disney is like a AA team playing at Yankee stadium. The food was adequate, the service was good but the animatronics seem so weak by comparison...its a nice cool break from Disney on a hot day, but if you're hoping to impress your kids, do it while they're really young.

Really, there is no reason to go here. It's even more expensive than Disney TSR prices, and the food quality is worse, with a atmosphere that was state of the art in maybe the 90s. I've been multiple times living in Orlando and always remember at the end of the meal I shouldn't come back. Both the burgers at our table that were requested medium-well were more along the lines of medium rare, and the patties are dismally flavorless. They could make up for the patties with creative toppings or a nice bun or something, but they don't. It's Applebees quality food at double the price. And the service was just weird. We had 3 different people playing the role of waiter, one person getting our drink orders, another our food, another delivered it, and yet another dealt with the check. What's the point of tipping if you have no idea who actually provided service? We got seated in a lousy seat by the front door away from all the theming even though the restaurant was quite empty, probably to give a server their share of the tip pool. And to top it all off, since we had different servers, the discount that we mentioned we had at the beginning of service had to be re-requested when the check was brought out. And why are fries a $2 up charge? The chips are fine, but what place considers basic fries a premium side? All of this has been consistent with my other visits at other franchise locations. Really mediocre food at 200% prices. Since you are already at Disney, you might as well go to a Disney owned and operated world class restaurant for the same price.

great food, nice menu selection, entertainment for the children in form of thunderstorms/animals awakening etc...lengthy wait to sit if not in The Landry's Club! food quality is awesome, and lots to choose from.

Let me start by saying this is one of the most kid friendly restaurants on property to take your child. My son loved the animals, the animation, and the atmosphere kept his attention (normally he is bored out of his mind in a restaurant and crayons just don't cut it). The activity book they gave him and the animals certainly gave mom and dad a well needed break. Server was very nice, and attentive for most part. Most disappointing was good quality. I had the chicken fried chicken dish with mashed potatoes, and fries. Yes, two starches. Your choices of sides on meals are all starches except for one (which was not my favorite). The gravy was awful, the chicken was just ok, and the mashed potatoes were cold. It honestly felt like the plate was assembled at the Golden Corral buffet and brought out to me. On the plus side, my sons pepperoni pizza was pretty good size and quality, but the adorable little cheap plastic plate they served his pizza on kids aren't allowed to keep. He loved the plate and for the prices in this restaurant, a $1.00 cheap plastic plate had to be taken away from him. But we were told if he'd like one, his parents could go buy one for $5.00 in the gift shop. Not cool, and pretty disappointing. Overall experience was barely ok. Two star rating. One star for atmosphere, and one for the service equaling two overall stars.

The food was adequate and the portions were pretty big. Don't expect a quite place to eat. It has a rain forest theme and draws a lot of crowds from the park (it has an entrance outside and inside the park, which is pretty convenient). We made reservations, so we didn't have to wait that long for a table. Service was pretty good and friendly. The restaurant has it's own gift shop which has a lot of animal-theme souvenirs. It is probably more reasonably priced than the restaurants inside the park.

Great service from a very busy location.....this place caters to Disney tourists and people who are locals. I like the amount of seating and the attention to service. From the hostess stand to the cooks, my family gets the food on time and cooked to the proper temperature.

Horrible service very slow it took them fifteenth minutes to clear a table they brought the coffee and left all dirty dishes we had to drink our coffee in front of all dirty dishes. We had a reservation..... Ernst for I don't know ... it took them 30 minutes to seat us. Half the restaurant was empty don't waist you time !!!

We took my toddler here when visiting Animal Kingdom. He really like the atmosphere and the moving animals. The thunderstorms ever 15 minutes was a little loud and made it hard to hear the server at times The food was good. It was a lot better than any of the food in the park. The price is a little high, but compared to the in park places, it was cheaper. You get more food and better quality than anything in the park. You also are getting a very unique atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and invited us to walk around and look at all the various animals, which my toddler really enjoyed. Instead of sitting bored at a table waiting for food, he got to walk around and find monkeys, fish tanks, butterflies, snakes, and all sorts of other jungle animals. We had reservations for 1030am. It wasn't too crowded yet and we weren't worn down from the park yet. We really enjoyed our experience.

Ok, so I hadn't stepped into a rainforest cafe location on over 10 years.. We ended up eating here because it was the only thing opened when we arrived at 9am for breakfast. The waitress said that this location is the biggest they have in the world. The breakfast selections were good and varied between eggs, bacon, waffles, omelettes, etc. I ordered the main special, which was hearty and huge. It had eggs, bacon/sausage, breakfast potatoes and toast. Pretty big for only $9.99. I was impressed at the quality. Eggs weren't runny, the food wasn't cold, very well cooked. The breakfast potatoes actually tasted good and fresh. The decor is amazing as well. They have animatronic animals that make noises about every 15 min or so. It's a nice touristy restaurant to bring families. I really enjoyed my meal and my friends did as well. Our waitress was ok. Overall solid waitress, just disappeared every now and then. Loved It all! Definitely bringing my family to enjoy it as well!

Bit of a wait, but that is a given on a weekend. Food was amazing and the waiter was very friendly. We sat outside at the Lava Lounge. Inside was done up nice and the fish tanks added a nice touch. Kids would love it.

Very stunning atmosphere with animatronic animals a dense forest feel and happenings. The food was cooked perfectly and the salmon was some of the best I have had. The wait staff was great. It is a must do for a great family experience!

I have been to Rainforest several times and the food seems to have gotten better recently. The service was amazing. The server was able to give lots of suggestions for vegetarians and she was very knowledgeable about what had hidden animal products (the alfredo for instance). The natural burger is my choice at any Landry's restaurant, and it's one of the best veggie burgers around. At this location, this time, it was slightly undercooked (mushy and not crisp on the outside) but it was still good. My only complaint and the reason for knocking off a star is that the Jungle Chopped salad is so tiny. It's basically a side salad, not an entrée salad and its $7! It's just lettuce and cheap veggies, so they could double the size for hardly any cost. The balsamic dressing was so good, though that it almost made up for the small portion.

Slow service and burnt food. Food quality isn't the greatest but I guess you come here for the atmosphere. You can't beat eating with elephants and Gorillas. It's only saving grace.

I will be going back to this place the next time I visit Orlando. The staff was phenominal and they honored my free yelp appetizer, eventhough it was not on the menu anymore. They have an inside bar but I decided to sit at the outside bar. It overlooked the water. As with all things Disney the "imagineers" for this themed restaurant had volcanoes and mechanical animals. I was surprised to find out that this restaurant wasn't a Disney creation. If you are taking kids, I suggest you sit inside to get the full experience. You will actually feel like you are in a rainforest. As far as the food, they serve pretty much everything. My ribs were absolutely delicious and I also nibbled off of someone else's plate. Yes, the food was that good. I was licking my fingers.

Unless you are a picky eater or with a picky eater do yourself a favor and visit one of the more interesting restaurants within Animal Kingdom instead. This is a tired old chain that capitalizes on its fancy entertaining scenery. Kids seem to like it but for me it was too loud to be enjoyed. I got the meat trio to share, it was edible but nothing stands out as praise worthy. The fried cheese was decent. The server we had was fantastic but I am sure he really earns his money by having to scream over the obnoxiously loud monkey noises day after day. Next time I will be eating at the Yak and Yeti.

Our food was mediocre, but what really made this place awful was the management. We had to wait despite having a reservation and when it came time to pay the credit card machines went down. We were there for a trip to Disney so time is not something you want to waste. Instead of the manager letting our $16 dollar bill go they made us wait for over 30 minutes while they tried running the card manually. A good manager would have apologized for the wait and let us go!

Recently ate here on my last trip to WDW. I really loved the atmosphere of the place. Everything was awesome from the restraunt itself to the shop that's attached to it. As a person who loves fish I really enjoyed the large fish tank that they have. The food itself was a bit underwhelming. I had the taste of the islands and it was subpar. The scallops were awesome but the rest of the meal seem to be average. I think I'd like to try one of the other places to eat in the Animal Kingdom next time. Still a great place to eat though.

Liked it, did'nt love it. It was very challenging finding this place even with the signs. The food and service are good but nothing exceptional. The atmosphere was very interesting and fun but that's about it. I would recommend making reservations. Also, because this particular restaurant is next Animal Kingdom, this place is loaded with tourist, So be prepared.

I've never been a fan of RFC food, but I knew my son would love the decor and fun. No problems ordering or getting food. But our waitress disappeared after our meal. I sent my family on to have fun in animal kingdom. 30 more minutes and I still couldn't get a check and get out of there. I camped out at the waitress/manager stand to get my bill. The manager said it took a long time because they had to do the "paperwork" because I was on the disney dining plan. I called BS on that. If you're running a restaurant in disney, you better be able to hang. 1 hours 40 minutes while begging waitress and manager to get bill and get out is unacceptable.

Ate here after a day at the park! Our server was very nice and attentive. The food is VERY overpriced, even by Disney standards. Quality is average at best and the kids pizza looked like a frozen pizza that was warmed up with very little toppings. The restrooms were so gross that I returned to the park to use theirs even though I was so tired and just wanted to sit down. Not gunna be back next time.

This is definitely a wild place to shop and eat at! We enjoyed the ambiance of the tropical forests. While also dining to a delicious meal. I recommend the taste of the islands because the tilapia was topped with mango salsa was great because it brought out the flavor of the fish. In addition to the scallops and delicious coconut shrimp served on skewers. You don't want to miss this place which can also be found in Downtown Disney.

Great atmosphere. Food was moderate quality and service was minimal at best. Party member has a combo meal with ribs. No disrespect to McDonald's, but tasted like a McRib, but cost $29.99. Was disappointed with the experience.

Store that has a restaurant would be the best way to describe it!!! My kids went crazy over all the pricey merchandise. Very loud and overwhelming. Food was okay. Service forgettable. Would not go back. Just rather spend money at a place that doesn't shove merchandise down your throat instead of food.

Don't go to this place if you can avoid it. We went there last night after a day at Animal kingdom. What a bad experience!! First the temperature was set at around 60 degrees. It was freezing to the point of being uncomfortable. Luckily I carried jackets for the kids just in case. The family we were with (locals) did not and they were cold the entire time. Was not expecting to use the jackets in a restaurant. We were a party of eight and they sat us at a table for six. When we asked to change they rudely told us that there was no other available instead of admitting that they screwed up. So we squeezed in two more chairs. The food took over 50 minutes to arrive. Our waitress, who was never around, told us they seated 1000 diners at a time so we just had to wait till the food was ready. The food itself was passable though overpriced. I asked for a side of rice for my son and that took another 15 mins to arrive. By the time we were done we were in there over two hours. To add insult to injury our waitress told me that the 18% gratuity added to the bill for our party of eight was shared and I could add more for her if I wanted - Seriously - for never waiting on us! I would not recommend this place - they need some major Disney training!

I'd actually sworn never to find myself trapped into eating at one of these again, until I found myself stranded on a Sunday evening near the closing of the Animal Kingdom, with nothing really available for a party of six except for this. Happy to say the experience exceeded expectations. The bar was comfortable and we were seated ahead of the time they had predicted. Yes it's overstimulating, and it's loud, and there are tons of little kids, and they sing Happy Birthday way too often, but I have to admit, the menu options have improved and the food was very good, particularly the awesome Chimi Cha Chas. Now to be fully honest, I won't necessarily be rushing back to one of these joints, but I won't be panic stricken and depressed if I ever find myself back in one again.

We loved it!!!! The atmosphere was amazing and the food was really good! I would definitely recommend getting reservations. If we wouldn't have had reservations the wait would have been 2 hours. We had great service too. Most of the places in Disney like this you are paying for the atmosphere and not good food but that's not the case here. I would say this is a must try restaurant while at Disney!

After a long morning of park hopping, my group and I decided on a table-service lunch at Rainforest, versus the normal lunchroom-style Disney eateries. To avoid waiting 15-20 minutes for a table, we headed to the high-tops by the bar (which were first come first serve). Immediately, my party and I were greeted by the bartender and quickly ordered our drinks. Soon after we ordered apps an entrees, which consisted of the nacho appetizer, 3 different kinds of burgers (I can't remember the names) and the grilled chicken Caesar salad. The service and food were mediocre, but at the same time I wasn't expecting to be wowed. Overall, it was better than the normal Disney restaurants and just good enough for a already exhausting day.

Ate here on a Friday night. I knew it would be a hour and half wait, but that wasn't the issue. After sitting down and ordering food for 4 took another hour and 15 mins to get food. We all got hamburgers and chicken, not something that should take that long. The food was mediocre. I can say I have ate there but that is all. I will not be back. They had a "thunder storm" every 30 mins, which was somewhat cool and all the different fish was very cool.

Accommodating for a gluten free dining. Son Had GF burgers which were ok but I'd rather just skip buns GF or not. Cedar plank salmon and steak were good. They had a good fudgy chocolate cake and cheesecake which was a nice treat. Food reminds me of most chains. Very good for a themes restaurant etc. Great accommodation for gluten allergies.

I am not really sure why this Rainforest Cafe location has so many bad reviews. I am from Chicago and the Rainforest that we have out her is abysmal to say the least. My family had a very nice time dining here and ee walked in with no reservations after a long morning exploring the Animal Kingdom Park. I immediately liked the set up of this Rainforest Cafe, inside of the theme park, almost hidden away by all the plants and bushes. I really liked the coin pond with the display alligator and elephant at the entrance way. Once inside I was really impressed with their bar, it was gorgeous and uniquely animal themed. We only waited about 10 minutes before being seated which was fine because they have a little Rainforest Cafe gift shop inside too. The host led us to our booth which was in a dark corner and I was not pleased. I asked for the other table next to the fish tank and they moved us to the table I wanted without so much as an eye roll which I really appreciated. Service was fast and efficient although the restaurant was pretty busy. My hubby and I ordered wine beer, and burgers while our children indulged from the kids menu. Our burgers were delicious and perfectly cooked. I got mashed potato instead of fries and their mashed potatoes are on point. My kids had a really good time and they enjoyed their kiddy meals as well. Would definitely return with my family during our next trip to Disney World.

This review is for the location inside Animal Kingdom. This place is okay. Food is good but it just seems like it's geared towards the kids with the theme, animatronics, loud thunder and what not. For what all that went on with the animatronics I felt like there could have been more done because it seemed more like blink and you'll miss it. I had the Barbecue Bacon Cheeseburger and it was delicious and hubby had a pasta dish that was also good but I don't feel the need to go to this place a lot when out at Disney World. This might be a better place if you have kids because they'll probably go wild at all the stuff inside but it just wasn't for me.

  • Brian D.

The breakfast pizza here is the best deal on the Disney property. For about $13 you get a meal that will feed 3 or 4 adults that is very tasty. It is the favorite of the staff as well. The restaurant is less crowded in the morning mad you can get in to the park in the back and avoid another line.

    (4)
  • Mike R.

30 minute wait to be seated (well it is right at Disney), 35 min wait for food...dish was $22, which was about $16 too much! You are definitely paying for the thunder claps and animatronic elephants as the food gets a solid "D" grade. So if you wanna sit down at Disney Animal Kingdom, I think this is all you get (it's actually out of the park, so you'll need tickets to get back into the park)

    (2)
  • Kat G.

Come for the ambience and service. Fun environment and the waitstaff are very committed to the theme. Our server Ellyse was super friend and very efficient. The food was good, but not amazing. Good place for kids

It's what you expect from a chain, but this is the location that started it all. Moderate your expectations. Forget trying to find a gourmet meal. Lots of noise hear from the programmed animals. And lots of screaming kids. That is not my reason for the rating. Despite asking for medium burgers we were served raw/very pink burgers and had to send them back 2x. Service and food were just too prompt. The place also needs to turn down air conditioning in the evening. Most people have been sitting in the sun all day and then get frozen out. Additional note: The Rainforest Cafe administration did contact me after this review which shows their attention to service. I might also add that my daughter later told me she thought her pasta was still stiff and not tender as well.

After an afternoon at the Animal Kingdom, this seemed like a great wind down before the drive home. Service said 30 minute wait, called us in 10 minutes. +1. Also, great attitude and really played up to my daughter, adding "princess " to her name when I used her name for the seating. +2, Server Angie was on point start to finish, couldn't ask for more. She was awesome. Food was very good considering the full house, salmon was fresh and tasted nice, cooked/served on cedar. Kids ribs were good too. Everything was cooked right. Great place for kids, it's noisy and they tell you that up front. Prices as expected, you are at Disney. Great experience, fun night.

This to me is really a family experience. The food is what to expect from a chain. The staff was great at taking care of you. The kids will love the atmosphere.

I had the burger. It was good. Service was so-so. Nothing truly stood out for good or bad. Ultimately, not worth the price, but the price wasn't bad for inside Disney.

  • Henry S.

Nothing terrible but nothing special. The same quality of food you would get at any chain think Chili's, TGI Friday but more expensive. Although I get the whole concept that you are suppose to be in the rain forest I found it so loud that it was nearly impossible to speak to the people I was dining with. We were seated right next to the waterfall. Although my 5 year old son did not have any issues I could imagine that some young children could get scared at all the noise especially when they turn the lights down and there is "thunder". Service was a bit slow but acceptable. I would not go out of my way to return

I wasn't impressed by the food here and I was pretty saddened over the fact that my Disney pass didn't get much of a discount (later in the trip I found that Florida doesn't give out as much AP discounts as California). The waitress was very nice and engaged the kids to the environment, which was nice to see their faces light up.

Well, this place has changed for the worse since we have been there last (we tend to come to WDW every 4 years or so). Anyway, it got annoying --- I usually bring people here because of the ambiance --- very colorful, has lots of trees and animals for decorations. I also like that there's a good chance if your group is 6 or 8, you might have a round table so you can see everyone while you eat! that's a plus. The drinks are fun, too. But the food has become very mediocre, and the noise level is deafening. And the worst thing? it was way, way, way too cold in there. They had the AC cranked up beyond what they needed and the place was full! Not coming here again unless it changes for the better! I'll have to check trusty yelp before I come back here.

There is a great place to take a break from Disney. My family and I ate there for lunch after riding the safari in animal kingdom. It was only a 15 minute wait for a table of six. Menu a little pricey but expected for the area. I had the bbq bacon burger cooked a perfect medium rare. I was glad to see it was a real beef burger and not a frozen chain restaurant patty. Large selection on the kids menu. Only criticism is juice instead of soda is an addtional charge. The rest of the party had wraps and salads. All portions were plentiful and the food was above average. I would recommend this place to any family visiting the Disney Park. One suggestion would be menu or table lights to see when ordering.

What can I say good about the rainforest cafe? The fish tanks are neat. That's about it. The restaurant is loud. We had a large group reservation, and we still had to wait. They weren't ready for us. The cooking staff is poor. It took over an hour and half after we were seated to get our food. The quality was fair, but after that long of a wait and taking up precious time away from our trip to Animal Kingdom, I would never eat there again. Additionally the food we were served was wrong...one example, my husband asked fo no onions and he got onions. This happened with multiple members of our family. The prices are extremely high for what you get. My advice, find something that is better in the park instead of visiting this ho hum restaurant. You can do better and eat cheaper in Epcot that here.

As we were walking in to the Animal Kingdom we noticed the restaurant to our left and decided to come here for dinner after the park closes. We came in through the Park entrance and were seated immediately. The decor is like every other Rainforest Cafe we've been to through out the years. We like the look and feel of the design. We ordered Mongoose Mai Tai and Green Python to start and they were both yummy. For dinner we ordered the Natural Burger and the Trio (Ribs, Steak and Shrimp). The plates are huge! Although my husband was able to finish his burger, I only had a quarter of my food but it was delicious. Our server Kevin was attentive and polite. Although the restaurant became pact over time as people from the park began filling up the restaurant, Kevin stayed his charming self and didn't try to rush us out. Decor-great! Clean Drinks- great! Food-delicious! Service-great! Enjoyed this experience and would highly recommend it.

After a long morning of walking around Animal Kingdom, we decided Rainforest Cafe would be a nice choice for lunch. It was the BF's first time here so he was like a little kid, surprised at the happenings around him. Food was decent, but nothing to brag about. We got the Lava Nachos which were pretty good. I ordered the Rasta Pasta which was surprisingly tasty. The BF got the Caribbean Coconut Shrimp which he said was "awesome." On the whole we enjoyed our meal. Although, I think we've finally outgrown the Rainforest Cafe, because I found the place a little obnoxious this time around. Very loud noises every 5 minutes was a little much for us after walking the Disney parks for 5 days. Decor is always cool to look at though, and our waiter was nice and attentive as well.

One of our favorite places to take our little one! Only reason I dont give 5 stars is because of the extremely long wait times to get in and lack of WIFI (cell phones don't work inside), other than that its always a fun time!

After a long day at Animal Kingdom park we came here for a dinner reservation I had made months ago. Turned out I probably didn't need a reservation as the place wasn't packed. We arrived on-time and were seated within a couple of minutes. The server was great. She was kind enough to rush the kids order, before we decided what we were having. Place is kinda cheesy, but we knew that since we both had been here before. Burger wasn't bad only sad thing is it's 2 bucks to add fries versus potato chips and 6 bucks for a salad.

I find the food selections minimal in the Animal Kingdom. The Rain Forest Cafe was convenient and offered sit down service with no reservation. The entrance in Animal Kingdom was convenient to eat and then come right back in the Animal Kingdom without going through the entrance again. Food was consistent with all other Rain Forest Cafes I have visited.

Went for breakfast before Animal Kingdom opened. I got the breakfast pizza and it was very good and pretty big. It has scrambled eggs under the cheese and the "sauce" was salsa. It was very good. The surroundings are the best part of this place. My son, who is 1 yr and 4 months, loved all the animals moving and making noise. They kept his interest so that my wife and I could eat.

For some reason, I always want to eat here. I'm not sure why. They always make you wait, even when the restaurant is more than half empty. Today was no exception. We had to wait 10 to 15 mins to be seated. It didnt' help that they encourage waiting diners to browse the gift shop, which means when they're "safari" is called, the seater person has to round them all up, which meant we had to wait while she found 10 people for one party plus a few other safaris ahead of us. We got our table and our server, Georgia came right away to take our drink order. She was awesome-very pleasant and efficient. She is the only reason it got 2 stars. Our food was good. We'd asked for a side of fries for our kids meals and I think they got maybe 10 fries total. Laughable!! We literally laughed out loud at this side! When you usually order a side of fries you get a plate full. This was a skimpy little amount-so funny!! The atmosphere is loud but you expect that. If the service takes too long, you do get tired of the monkeys screeching and other animals making noise. The first few times we ate there, we were amused, but after numerous times, not so much. We might return-it is expensive but a welcome sight at the end of hard morning at Animal Kingdom.

Noisy, cold, expensive. Food not impressive. Even the African fast food inside the park is much better.

Spent two weeks park hopping and this was one of the better ones. My partner wasn't feeling well so we didn't want to wait to eat in the restaurant so we stepped up to the bar at lunch time. It was quiet in there and lacking screaming kids so this was a plus. The bartender there "Dustin" is the reason this place is getting 5 stars. He was awesome - beverages, food and follow-up was awesome. More places should hire people like this - he rocks!

We ate here around 3pm and it was my favorite restaurant at Disney! We only waited a few minutes to be seated! Trust me you want to wait so you can take it all in! There are aquariums, sounds, merchandise, and more! The food was amazing! Loved the ribs! Dinosaur nuggets for the kids! Steaks are just okay! The only sad part was we ate so much we didn't get to enjoy "the volcano"! It is was an experience to eat there!

We thought this would be a nice way to finish our day at the Animal Kingdom but after waiting 50 minutes for our overpriced and overcooked dinner with two very tired kids in an extremely loud restaurant I definitely have regrets. Yes 50 minutes. We watched numerous tables come and go as our waiter appeared to talk continuously to her tables and yet never head to the kitchen. The decor was definitely Rainforest but some of the others I had visited were better decorated. The fish tanks in the waiting area were a nice touch. I had the shrimp and chicken lasagna special... It turned out to be a ravioli. The chicken was overcooked. If I could have the evening back I would rather have dined somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Awesome rainforest cafe. We have been to four in America and this was a nice one, though I wish they had more fish tanks like the Schaumburg rainforest. It was nice!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Horrible. We brought the kids here after a day at Animal Kingdom. Their price points rival the finest restaurants in New York City. Hankering for a disgusting $18 burger? Think you should have to pay an extra $2 for fries? Want to eat it on a cafeteria table with paper napkins Then the Rainforest Cafe is for you! What else? The "entree" side of the menu ran from $22 to $30+, the dining room was FREEZING, food was inedible, the kids crayons broke with the slightest pressure, etc. I don't buy the whole, "Disney is expensive get over it" way of thinking. Rainforest Cafe's business model is there enough visitors that will make the mistake we did. This place is the WORST!

from reading all the reviews I could honestly say I walked into the rain forrest cafe strictly for the theme/experience and not for the food at all. being a VERY picky eater I had the mind set I wouldn't find anything I liked but I found something that was VERY VERY good. my boyfriend and I had a late reservation (which I recommend a reservation) so when we sat down we felt compelled to hurry and order just so we could still walk down town disney, he quickly picked the steak and shrimp and he LOVED it. he said "I don't even care for coconut shrimp, but this is pretty good" (the meal comes with a 7 oz? steak and coconut shrimp and shrimp scampi). I got the chicken sandwich, I'm not sure the name of it but It was outstanding. average pricing: $26.99 steak & shrimp, $15.99 chicken sandwich, $8.99 cheese sticks, and two soft drinks: $62 before the tip. very worth it in my opinion! I would recommend it to anyone.

This is the location next to DAK. We've visited on several prior occasions. This time it was my daughter and I and my two grandchildren. The kids loved it. I still like it, but it seems like it's getting a little worn and tired. I absolutely love the fish tanks and they were beautiful as always. The prices are higher than I remember when we last went. You'd think the increase would not be as high with the bad economy, but I guess they expect tourists on vacation will stay pay, and I guess that's right because we did. I ordered a shrimp, ribsand chicken combo which was well over $20 and a couple of years ago was just under. Our server was very outgoing and friendly and most importantly, attentive. We got the Volcano dessert, but it was way to big for the four of us. We visited first week in October, which is low season and went in after DAK closed, the place was deserted when we left.

Had lunch on a Sunday morning, about 11:15am There were very few people in the restaurant at the time and I would expect the service to be quick and efficient. It was far from it We waited almost 20 minutes for our appetizer and another 15 on top of that for our meals. They were OK for what they were, albeit overpriced. To top it off, we waited close to 15 minutes after I sent away payment. Smart to skip this location next time..

You come here for the atmosphere; the food is just a bonus. It's WAY overpriced, but you're in Disney, what do you expect!? The Volcano Cobb Salad was pretty good, priced at $16.99 but big enough for leftovers. The hamburger was just okay and was priced at $14.99. Again, don't go here looking for a great meal. Go here looking for a great "show" and an okay meal. The atmosphere is worth the 4 stars alone. Every few minutes different animatronic animals around the restaurant take turns coming to life. It's really cool and fun to watch. There's also a "thunderstorm" (no rain) that happens every few minutes. Our 1-year-old was a little freaked out at first, but then he got comfortable with it. It's a lot of fun!

Alright people, so this is the Rainforest Cafe...inside of Disney...so you are going to spend money. People have no right complaining about prices when there is a menu to look at on the outside of the front door. You know what to expectwhen you come here. This place is Disney oriented!!! It's going to be loud, busy, and its gonna be pretty expensive, if you don't like those things......don't go. It was exactly what I thought it was going to be and My family had a great time. Lighten up people, this place is not really made for grumpy adults...its all about the Disney Magic.

There was nothing vegan on the menu but we spoke with the chef and he whipped up an amazing penne pasta dish with olive oil, garlic, and veggies.. it was one of the most amazing meals I've ever had.. absolute perfection! Only four stars for not having vegan options on the menu.

We ate here just before we started our day at the Animal Kingdom. The Mai Tai I drank was the best thing we had in the place; the food, though there was a lot there, wasn't remarkable.

You probably couldn't pay me to eat here again. First off, you have to walk through the huge store to get to the restaurant. If you have kids, its a nightmare to get them out of there. At first I was impressed with the rainforest theme and all of the decorations, but it can be quite the eye sore after a full meal. The lighting is incredibly dim; its hard to read the menu. It is SUPER loud in there. They have music blasting, a waterfall/fountain running, and the 'animals' make noises. Every so many minutes a 'thunderstorm' happens and the animals go wild and start making noises. You have to scream to the waiter. Our waiter was on the rude side and acted like he was better than working at the restaurant. Maybe, but all I need is you to politely bring me my food. The menu has all the basics, and I would compare it to that of a Friday's. I got a pasta dish, which I didn't like at all. It was very bland and thick and just didn't taste good. This is really a restaurant for kids. They have lots for them to look at, to do, and they have all the kid food favorites. I couldn't wait to get out of there.

Food: I was dying to have the Pastalya again, a year later after having it in LA, but was kinda disappointed by the dish here. It was a bit too dry, and small for the price of around 20. The appetizer sampler? was pretty good and the most bang for your buck! Service: Since there was a group of 80! I repeat 80! 80! party of people waiting for their "table" or the entire restaurant, we decided to eat at the bar. I'm glad we did because our bartender was spectacular. He was patient with taking our food order, recommended a fantastic drink (Rainbow Colada), and filled up our waters every 10 mins. Price: Yeah the place is a bit over priced, but what can you expect from chain restaurants. Overall: Cool environment to eat at. Food ain't terrible. Service is spectacular. If ya don't mind eating with gorrilla's and elephants going bananas every 15 mins or so then this is the place for you! Live, Laugh, and Lunch Patty

This place rocks for your family! The whole experience is so fun! The kids love everything about it. The decor, the food, the gift shop, even the walks to the bathroom..Any restuarant that keeps my kids attention, and covers up the loudness and messy tables is a huge plus to me! I will pay extra for this feature anytime, especially in Disney.

Poor experience overall. Very slow service. We had reservations. Sat down at 8:00 PM, didn't get food till 9:10. Food was just OK and of course, way over priced. You're paying for the stuffed animals, after all. During the meal, the waiter never checked on us. We were told the last parking shuttle leaves at 9:30. I spoke to the supervisor about this and she said don't worry, they will provide shuttle service until the last person leaves. So we relaxed and ordered dessert - a volcano fudge -which was brought out without the fanfare that was provided to the other tables. We left at 10:00 - no shuttle. I spoke with another manager who basically said, sorry for the confusion but they were mistaken when they told you the shuttle would take you to your car. We had a very long walk back to our car after a long day in the park. The next day I called the General Manager and explained my dissatisfaction. He only offered to put me on a VIP list for another restaurant if I like. When I asked him to explain this offer he said that we would be immediately seated and not have to wait next time - i don't get how this is special? It's the same as making a reservation. Why would I want to go to another Landry's restaurant and spend $200+ after being treated so poorly the first time? The offer of immediate seating is kind of insulting and an extremely poor attempt at rectifying the situation.

Awesome food and amazing service by Theresa our wonderful waitress. She made our night so much fun by being attentive, smiling and interacting and joking with our kids. The food wasnt anything great, but it was priced reasonably for what you received. I like the decor of the restaurant, but the screaming gorillas become a little annoying after awhile. I would not recommend this place for business meetings. This is more of a family restaurant.

Just to clarify, this is The Rainforest Cafe located in Animal Kingdom, not the one in Downtown Disney. I'll admit, I have never been to a Rainforest Cafe, and it looked fun so I wanted to give it a try. In all honesty, I was not disappointed and will probably return here in the future. The best part about this restaurant in the convenience factor. It it literally located right outside of Animal Kingdom (no park admission required) so it's perfect right after a lovely day at one of Disney's Parks. Keep in mind since this is a franchise, it does not take the Disney Dining plan. The atmosphere is pretty cool. I'll admit, it's loud and rather obnoxious at times but that's what you're coming here for. (If you're in Disney and do not expect obnoxious things, then really - what's the point?) We were seated within 10 minutes with a reservation. Our waitress was fun, friendly, and extremely accommodating - a huge plus. The food was very enjoyable - and I should mention, the menu had a lot to offer. Considering we were used to the limited Disney restaurant menus, an extensive menu was a refreshing note. We ordered a sampler for an appetizer - the food was tasty and a good amount for three t four people. It also came relatively quick. For entrees, I order the Rasta Pasta. It wasn't as salty as I thought chain restaurant macaroni would be. The sauce was rich - probably not the best thing on a hot day - but the combination of pesto with vegetables and grilled chicken was tasty. My cousin had the Mahi Mahi and coconut shrimp combo - the shrimp were enjoyable, but he noted the Mahi Mahi was overcooked. The mango salsa that with it was very tasty. The other guest in our party had the coconut shrimp and didn't really say much about it. Overall, we had a good time. When you go to this place, though, keep in mind what you're getting - a chain restaurant, like Friday's or Applebee's, with all it's greasy, salty food glory. In addition, the place is notably noisy and obnoxious. If you have someone if your party that's a whiner or a complainer or hates loud noised, DO NOT BRING THEM HERE. It will just make your time here less enjoyable. I say keep an open mind and try it out. I'll definitely be returning here on my next trip - right after I ride Expedition Everest six times.

The Good: [1] It was a new and different experience. Great for kids that aren't scared of gorillas and thunder. Everytime a rainstorm came, all the animals (my dad included) would start hooting and making noises, and all the children would start to cry or get excited. You decide what kind of kid yours is. The Bad: [1] The food left a little to be desired. It was more about the experience than the food to be honest, but when I go out to eat, I want something yummy dammit! The Ugly: [1] The decor was kinda tacky. Literally looked like they went to Michael's craft stores across America, raided their "fakest leaves ever" section and glue gunned them to the ceilings and walls all over the restaraunt. Ugly.

Good place to get out of the heat of Animal Kingdom and grab some lunch. I've been to a Rainforest Cafe before and it was exactly what I expected it to be. It was somewhat pricey, but not any cheaper than you would spend inside the amusement park.

When you go here, you are paying for the experience, not the food. I would say it is Applebee's quality food at double the price. However, its fun for the kids and a cool experience if you have never been. This one seemed to be pretty understaffed when we went. We rarely saw our server and it took forever. In general, I would give this chain 3 stars, but because of how long everything two I am bumping this one down to 2 stars.

What a cool dining experience. I am somewhat of a Humanitarian and i love places that are outdoor experiences. Or ones that trick you or your kids into thinking they are in a Rainforest. LOL this place is so neat!! There are several room with different therms to them like the elephant room and the gorilla room. Every couple of Min's the lights dim and the animals on the walls start to move and sing a song and the stars in the sky twinkle. It's so cool for children and truthfully i love it!! It reminds me of a national geographic game show!! A day in the Rainforest!! Anyway as for the service i think i have always had good service here. Its not fine dining but for Disney its really fun!! When in the Magic Kingdom you must act like a child or you will just suck!! Yea!! So if your coming to this place to have a romantic night out.........its not your spot!! The Food is good i like the meatloaf, The pizza is great, and the dirt cake desert is to die for.............if you are like 6. I always try to bring the girls here when we go to Disney its a great themed dining experience. Def go if you are in town!!
