Why review a fast food chain restaurant? Because all locations are not necessarily the same. When I lived on the road, Popeyes delicious spicy fried chicken, biscuits and rice were one of my fave go to (almost) never fail spots for a quick meal. Chris Rock says its the best fried chicken there is, and who am I to argue? I have been to a couple of Popeyes locations where the chicken was dry and scrawny and the service was not so good. This isn't one of those places. After being good and avoiding fried food for months I just had to have some fried chicken, so I stopped in for a box to go. The place appeared clean. The cashier, Casi, who (thankfully) spoke English, handled the previous demanding customers who didn't speak much English efficiently and with a smile. When I ordered, she was still smiling and was genuinely friendly. She took my order and had it ready in a jiffy. Fast, friendly, and yummy. What more do you want from a fast fried chicken place? Well, parking is kind of tight, so open your eyes and you'll probably be able to figure out the entry and exit drill. Too bad they serve Pepsi instead of Coca Cola, but at least they do have iced tea....

5700 Lake Underhill Rd. Orlando Florida location only It took 20 minutes from the time I paid for 4 combo meals for the food to be provided for eat in. There was plenty of inventory on the shelves. Blamed delay on one combo being fish and shrimp. Other walk up customers waiting and frustrated. When our order arrived, one of the three piece combos had only 1 piece of chicken in it. One three piece combo had 4 pieces. Two orders of fries were missing. The counter staff was efficient and courteous.

Got the spicy Cajun surf and turf combo. It was very nice, above average fast food. This location is a bit hard to get in and out of.

The drive through has never given me a correct order. This last time I ordered 3 meals, out of the 3 meals only 1 was correct. On 1 occasions I returned and received the correct food. This last time I returned the food and got a refund. I won't be back.

Delicious food, but always a "long" wait considering the fact that it's fast food. I usually wait approximately 5-10 minutes to get my meals. Bring a sweater if you're dining in because the dining area is seriously chilly.

Mediocre at best. I can't stand going to a restaurant and they are out something and give me a "going to have to wait for xxx amount of time until it's ready" excuse. There's one damn car in the parking lot besides me. It's not like people are beating down their doors here.

I lovvvve popeyes' food! I've never had a bad experience at this particular location, yes the drive thru sucks, it IS always a long line but it's because the food is so yummy! When I was preggo, I had their mashed potatoes for breakfast, lunch & dinner for 9 months strait. My last visit to popeyes, I particularly noticed the overly-friendly drive thru lady & how odd it was how she was so happy, working at this fast food joint. But it was nice :) At THIS particular visit, I got the typical snobiness of the cashiers. The chicken tenders always take a while, think it's 8 minutes? This time, they gave me some coupons for my next visit because of the wait (however, I think I only waited 5 minutes) & it's a pretty decently clean restaurant.

I try to avoid reviewing the chain restaurants... but this one deserved mentioning. I ate here today out of convenience - it is right on the corner near my job. I went inside expecting some pretty decent fried chicken and ended up with a stomach ache and a bad mood to match. My first problem was the service. Hey, I wasn't expecting much from a fast-food joint, but even my meager expectations were not satisfied. It took forever for me to get my chicken strips. The biscuit was greasy and the don't even get me started on the red beans and rice. They included a miniscule "scoop" of bland white rice topped with a soupy and disgusting mush of red beans. They were so nasty that I threw them out. I am not a big fast food person... and this place reminded me just WHY I am not!

This is a super busy Popeyes with a small parking lot. Even with the bad reviews the nearby Keiser College students risk life and death crossing SR 436 to get to the spicy chicken at lunch time!!! The interior is loud at lunch time with all the dine in and drive thru customers ordering and the employees yelling orders back and forth. :) I haven't experience major problems here. The small sides are in fact very small. So if you want more order a large. The deep fried apple pies are very similar to the ones Mickey's D's stopped serving years ago. I sometimes come here just to get a fried pie! The eating area could be larger and cleaner. But hey it's on a small corner lot and they get slammed at times. Many times I have brought coupons in for a meal. The cashiers give me the discount and usually hand the coupons back to me to use at another time. One time I went there with a church group and there was an error with our order after it was brought to the table. The cashier and manager brought more food out without taking away the error food. We had quite a doggie bag that day!!! I was in another time and an elderly lady ordered her food and got it then asked where the drink was. She didn't know drinks don't come with a meal. Rather than argue with a customer the manager just handed her an empty cup for the drink dispenser. I think it is all in YOUR attitude. Know what you want, smile and be polite to the cashier. They are human beings and have to deal with nasty customers all day.
