When in Florida, I always try to get in a little Pollo Tropical as we don't have one on the West Coast. The food at this location was typical fare with caribbean flavors, however the service leaves a little to be desired.

Horrible service, they forgot half my order when I went home and checked my bag. I had to go all the way back to get the other half.

Pork Tropichop is pretty good at $4.29. Passed on rice and only had it with lettuce, pintos and onions. Qty of pork was nominal to keep my AH opinion at bay. Mohito garlic sauce is a really good add. Yuca fries at $2.39 for (you count em now) 8-12 pcs. x 1" cubes??? WTF do they think they are serving there? Not crispy like before but kind of baked fried. I don't know, texture was weird. But, put enough of that curry mustard sauce on anything its transformed into something eatable. Pisser really, this change in portion and preparation. Tomatoes and onions in balsamic ($1.99) made the third star on this visit. Plentiful, fresh and good. Afraid I'm done ever eating here again. At $9.23 with no drink (ice water) totally = WTF again?? Sorry but I recall when this meal was under $7.00.

For tropical fast food this place is the best. If u want a larger dinner you can have their grilled chicken on the bone with one of their amazing sides(try the plantiens they are my favorite.) if u want something smaller try their tropi chops. You can have some pork or chicken on them. Also don't forget all their sauces, my favorite is guava BBQ!

Visiting many Pollo Tropical locations in South Florida this one was a huge letdown. Let's start with the cleanliness. After ordering we couldn't find a clean table, period. Most had food on them, were wet, had salsas, etc. Disgusting. And, this is a pretty big location. There's lots of open seating. The manager took my order and it came out wrong. I ordered chicken and pork, got ribs and chicken. The fries were cold. My friends order also came out wrong. These are simple value meals. They shouldn't ever be done wrong. Unfortunately, the food was average here, too I order the Jamaican soup and one potato was so large it took up the entire bowl. Barely any chicken. The rest of the ribs, chicken and pork we had fell way below that I've had at other locations in this chain. And, I'm a normal fan of this place.

Had the grilled chicken and the pork. Both weren't bad. This food doesn't leave you feeling gross afterwards, so as long as you order the right stuff, you'll be okay. The rice and beans were fine (again, not great) and the macaroni was pretty mediocre. I recommend this place for something "normal" and not overly... fatty.

Dang, this franchise has gone down hill. Yuca fries were a quarter of their previous size and were all fried oil with little starch interior. Grilled chicken breast was gummy, over cooked. The new spinach grilled chicken wrap was very small with a cardboard flavored hard tortilla that was inedible. Shocking after having hyped up Pollo tropical to my non floridian friends. Very sad.

You come to this place for the food: Citrusy chicken, sweet plantains, savory black beans, white rice and yuca... it doesn't get any better than that. You can find such yummy dishes and many more at Pollo Tropical. A Florida chain, this place offers all the awesomeness of caribbean food without having to travel south of the border...way south. Shortly after ordering your meal you will inevitably run into the condiment bar, the place where you will find the perfect sauces for your meal. Try the cilantro mayo, or the guava bbq, or the curry mustard... actually, just try all of them and your taste buds will thank you for the rest of the day! lol So why 4 stars and not 5? Well, I would have actually given it 3.5 stars if I could have. While the food and sides are amazingly tasty, and they are the reason I go there every time I am in the sunshine state, their service is on the worse side of 'ok'. Come here for the food, but expect longer-than-average waiting lines (for fast food) and not the friendliest service. Having said that, I will come back to this place time and time again!.

I come here almost everyday because they are healthy like Chipolte. Less processed foods and that is important to me.

This is the second time that I have come to this location. They really need to find a happy medium. The chicken is always spot on, but the vegetables are either bland as hell or too salty. :-\

I never had Cuban Food before... so mind as well try it while in Florida... I'm pretty sure its not as authentic as alot of other places.. but with in walking distance it was good enough. $10 bought me a mojo pork, 1/2 chicken cooked on a grill, caribean bbq ribs, yuca with garlic sauce and drink and I tasted Guava BBQ sauce. The garlic sauce was made with real ingredients. Food was served fast and the place got busy quick! If I wasnt so full, I might have tried a few more things.

The food is always good. However the customer service is always terrible. Don't even get me started on their management. I've never come across a pollo tropical where they run out of chicken. None the less the last three times I've come I've had to wait at least 30 mins. If it wasn't that for the fact that pollo tropical has pretty good food that's hard to mess up. This place would go out of business. Corporate needs to come and fire the management and all new.

My first visit to any Pollo Tropical. I wish we had these up north. Definitely NOT fast food, but excellent food served fast. A big step up and on par with Boston Market. I had the chicken fajitas and it was a generous serving...I didn't even eat half the white rice and black beans. I will certainly keep my eyes open for Pollo Tropical when I travel about FL

My first Pollo Tropical taste! I am underwhelmed. This obnoxiously bright yellow rice and bland fixings is not something I want to eat again. What a waste of calories

This was the closest thing I could find that looked like Pollo Loco, Bustling place, counter order, chuckie was OK, plantains yummy and the kernal corn better than crack, soaked in butter and mutant kernals, put all these elements together and it was just what I needed but really a little more effort to eat in one of the smaller local places would probably have been better. Plenty of food for two of us $20, pretty reasonable.

Not that good when you have some good puerto rican joints right close by to choose from. It is consistent and the cilantro ranch sauce is really good. And if you know how to work the system then you can get free Tropichop bowls, cheesy fried yucca and quesdailla wraps. YMMV......
