The Chicken-Rice-Beans combo is a pretty standard staple across most Hispanic eateries, regardless of what countrymen run the establishment. At Pollo D Oro, though, you really get your bang for your buck. The steak and pork platters are great as well. At under $5 you get the same platter that you would get for $8 plus elsewhere. This could be due to the neighborhood Pollo D Oro is located in, but I suggest you take full advantage of it. Just stay away from the bbq.

Stick to the chicken, that's my advice. We spent over $20 on the 1/2 chicken combo with side of pork, tostones, and two Maltas. That's not exactly cheap but I also think something was lost in translation. I wouldn't feed the tap water to my dog. Try Black Bean Deli or Lelo's.

So its my happy TGIF! I am sitting at work wondering what will I have for lunch???? I was going to go get a boring salad but I then decided to use my handy dandy yelp! I found this place Pollo Doro, I have to admit I have seen this place before but I was judging a book by its cover. The reviews are all good so I thought why not? As stated by another fellow yelper the line is long during lunch time and so is the drive through which I think its faster if you just go inside. The customer service wasn't a pleasant one because they all looked like they didn't want to work there but needless to say the food is AMAZING just like I read! I got the pulled pork with white rice and black beans and a side of BBQ sauce all for $5.64 which you get a lot of food for that price! The rice was fresh and the meat was seasoned just right! The beans had a good Spanish flavor to them like mama's home cooking! Of course you can share but I did not because it was that good! I think that has got to be the quickest I have ever eaten pork lol. So go check them out don't judge the outside like I did because its a hidden jewel of Spanish goodness!! Get ready to wait a little but its ok just go through your face book feed while you wait that's what I did! Oh yes and they package your food nice and neat which is an A++++ in my book!

As you may have read in other reviews, do not let outer appearances fool you. Once you step into this little eatery you will be glad you gave it a shot. I ordered a simple meal of chicken, white rice and beans. Delicious. It has a home-cooked flavor..whatever they put in the beans is DELICIOUS! Prices are affordable, which explained why there was a long line.

This a very basic no frills eatery. It comes across a Fast Food Caribbean with plenty of Pollo dishes. I have eaten here for lunch a few times. Lots of specials and the prices are very reasonable. I had the 2 pc all white chicken dinner with red beans and rice with a side of plantains! Some folks will want to look for the hot sauce to jazz it up a bit but the chicken is always got a nice smokey flavor. Plantains (those big fried bananas to some) are done to perfection here so I would suggest you get those when you order. Great lunch spot as it's right across the street from the sheriffs office so if your down that way give them a try.

Solid, no frills restaurant with really good chicken. Driving around Orlando, you see a lot of random, nondescript eateries. Yesterday, I pulled into this one on the way home and I am glad I did. Pollo D Oro satisfies my top concerns from a restaurant - good food and good prices. I got 1 1/2 chickens, bread (toritllas or rolls) and 2 large sides for 15 bucks. That's pretty tough to beat around here. Naturally, price doesn't matter if the food stinks. Luckily, Pollo D Oro didn't dissapoint there either. The chicken was well seasoned, juicy, and well prepared. The sides were solid, but the chicken, naturally, carried the day here. Bottom line - If you're looking for chicken on the west side of I-4, you should definitely consider swinging by Pollo D Oro.

Most asked for special is the 2 piece chicken with white rice and beans, total 4.53. You can choose black or red beams and roll or tortilla. There are other chicken and steak options available. Various sides to choose from (plantains, beans, yucca etc). Chicken is always flavorful and never dry. Special is a great choice for a filling cheap lunch. Try the sauces they offer, yummy! During lunch it may take longer to get your food as they get busy. They have a drive thru as well but not much faster. Just depends of you want to waiting inside or in your car. I typed up this review as I was waiting for my food.

I have been going to Pollo D Oro for years. I have got to tell you they make the best chicken in town! I just had the grilled chicken sandwich again and it was awesome! They offer the same type things Tropigrill has but taste better than Tropigrill. They are priced very reasonable.

Alright, this is not the most fancy place, but I have to say the food is decently good. Thumbs up: staff is friendly, specially if you are a regular they seem to get to know you very well. Their chicken platter with rice, beans and bread is probably the most ordered. Try steak platter as well is very good with the mojito that you can ask for. I particularly love their chicken salsa...if I don't use it for the chicken I guiltily end up eating that salsa with my fingers (after watching my hands : ) ...
