We are in Orlando on family vacation with our 6 year old and 1.5 year old sons. Cannot say enough about this experience. We will definitely come back the next time we are in Orlando! 10 times better than Medieval Times, no joke. We paid for the VIP experience and it was absolutely worth it. Our 6 year old was taken out to be a part of the show three different times. These are priceless memories for him! The 1.5 year old laughed and clapped along the whole time. Plenty of singing, aerobatics, banging, etc to keep a toddler captivated. The food was better than expected although that is not why we came. The VIP appetizer spread was very nice. Bring $5 cash for parking. The pre-show might be a way for them to make more money BUT it's also a way to get everyone in the 'pirate mood' and hyped up about the show! The souvenirs are reasonably priced (I spent $5 on two children's pirate hats). Forget all of these butt hurt 'my food was not 5 star quality' reviews. Those people are clearly angry in life and don't know how to have a good (wholesome) night out! Get into the show, sing along, clap and cheer! After all, that's what you're paying for!!

The quality of the performers ranges greatly, some are genuinely impressive, but the few really bad ones stand out. The food is more "fodder" than cuisine. It's served like airplane food, and has all the taste and quality too. In fairness, the chicken was half a bird, so the portion size was good, but a large serving of bad food is still bad food. The show was too long, and complicated. I honestly found myself drifting in and out, so I don't think a child would be engaged the whole time. I disliked the pre-show trap you are penned in, with tacky souvenirs at outrageous prices, and similarly badly priced drinks at the bar. They know that most people are there with kids, and there's nothing to do but look at the overpriced stuff for sale. We won't be going back in a hurry. Some of the chicks were hot, that's why they got 2 stars from me, instead of just one :-)

Our family was looking for a fun, kid-friendly (yet adult-relevant) dinner theater show in Orlando. The idea of a pirate adventure seemed to be the best choice, and we were not disappointed! We were able to choose between a noon lunch show or a 7:30p.m. dinner show, and opted for the lunch option. Since we used an online discount voucher, pricing would have been the same for us. However, they do advertise that parking is $5. For the lunch time showing, there was no attendant and they did not collect any parking charge from us. We went in June and dined with a handful of other private groups along with a large group from a local day camp. Diners wait for the show in an open area, which houses restrooms, a bar, and a small gift counter. An alcoholic beverage cost about $16, which included a tall souvenir glass to take home. The gift shop charged about $5 or $6 for a shot glass. Each dining group is assigned to a different color pirate (ours was purple). The gift shop also sold colored flags to match your pirate, so you could root for him during the show. Of course, the expected light up swords were also available. We opted not to purchase any extras, though. A small introductory show takes place on a stage above the bar, where we meet a princess and the scurvy pirate who kidnaps her! Mr. McGee was our host and narrator for the show, who then guided our pirates in escorting us to our color sections. He was funny and entertaining. Dinner options include steak kabobs or chicken, both served with seasoned yellow rice and mixed vegetables. The diners in our group liked both choices. The voice message on the 800 number mentions pork, but that was not offered. However, the voice message does also say that they will try to accommodate special requests and special dietary needs, so ask when you make reservations. All entrees were served with a salad, with either Ranch or Italian dressing, and were followed by a large chocolate brownie (more like a big square of cake) a la mode with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. The waitress came by fairly often to check our drinks and give refills and clear plates as needed. Drink options include Pepsi products or a beer. The stage itself is set up like a huge pirate ship. The various pirates encourage their sections to root for them throughout the show. The performers fly overhead on ropes, and the Golden Gypsy Girl does aerial feats and is very good! Comic relief is abundant. Be prepared to relax and get a little silly as you enjoy the show. Towards the end of the performance, children (and enthusiastic audience members, like my husband) are brought onboard to swear allegiance to the evil pirate captain, and are made honorary pirates, complete with certificate to take home. A few adults are chosen to hoist the sails, and kids are given other brief roles, including dressing up as redcoat soldiers who help defeat the dastardly pirate! After the performance, diners can hang out with the cast in an after party and take photos with the cast if they like. We all had a lot of fun and would do this again on a future trip.

I booked our tickets on livingsocial.com . It was a fabulous deal - $19 per person. If you can get that deal, it is worth every penny. I called first and the receptionist advised me to book off of living social, which is unfortunate since LS keeps a good portion of the ticket price. I took my 8 yr old and he has said several times that they should have more of the Pirates Dinner Adventure's throughout the country. That is a really good sign. I would not recommend ordering the kids dinner unless your child is under 4. I did not, and my son enjoyed the chicken, rice and vegetables and the dessert. They make a great effort in involving the children. The after dance party was also great fun and added value to the experience.

Worth it only if you get a discounted ticket!!! Use code: ALS15 during Feb. 2015 to get a $35 Adult ticket and $5 will be donated to the ALS Association Florida Chapter. There was also a $3 handling fee so after tax, one adult ticket was $40.47. Gratuity for the servers is not included in the ticket price- $5 per adult, $3 per child. Keep in mind, you are paying for the show not the food. The food is totally decent but not if you only consider the ticket price as paying for the food... which is why I say think about it as paying for the show. The cast are professional actors, stuntmen, singers and acrobats (you would pay more to see a Cirque show or a play at Bob Carr and there is no food there). Here is the rundown of the Pirate experience. Logistics Parking is $5 and is right next to the building. They give you a $5 coupon for the gift shop you can use if you spend $10 or more. Arrive at least 45 minutes before showtime. There was a pretty decent line to check-in which wasn't the fastest moving. There is also a little pre-show (which we missed part of) while you are waiting inside for the show to start. Bring a jacket if you tend to get cold. The show area was chilly (I was okay with a sweater and no jacket but my friend was freezing with her jacket on). Before The Show They will ask to take your photo. You don't have to. I don't know how much it costs to buy but I heard someone say something about $30 (yikes!). You can have a cocktail, get a souvenir at the gift shop area and watch the pre-show. We missed part of it but we did see a little bit of acrobatics and introduction to some of the characters. Food Appetizer: You get a choice of a tomato soup or salad (basic mix like at Olive Garden) w/ Ranch or Italian dressing Entrée: Beef Kabob or Roasted Chicken- both come with rice and vegetables. I had the beef which had good flavor and was tender (could've used some kind of sauce though) and my friend had the chicken (which was half a chicken like Boston Market) she said was good Dessert: A brownie (more like cake) with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce Beverage Choices: Water, Pepsi or Beer... There is a cash bar when you walk in before you get into the show area if want an alternate cocktail (not sure if they have non-alcoholic options out there) The Show Audience participation is a must! Much like Medieval Times, you are seated in a colored section which represents your pirate and you cheer for your pirate throughout the show (and heckle the other pirates). The show really has it all... cheesy plot line (save the princess, fall in love with the princess, capture the bad guy), sword fighting, aerial acrobatics, trampoline stunts, stage fighting, rope swinging (they are pirates after all), singing, audience participation, humor and a giant dragon!! At one point there is a pirate competition and they take audience members to help them compete (running flags, throwing treasure, hoisting sails on the ship). All of the kids are brought onto the stage to become honorary pirates in a pirate ceremony. After The Show They had a dance party. Yes, you read that right!! The pirates were in the pre-show area dancing to the Cha-Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle and some other stuff. Disco ball and colored lights, too! I took this opportunity to seek out our pirate (Cutthroat Jack, the Red Pirate) and take my photo with him. Other guests were taking photos with their pirates, too.

My friends, hubby and I bought tickets to this show from Livingsocial for $16. After reading reviews here, we went in with VERY low expectations. And were pleasantly surprised. The line to check in took forever and we were close the front. The appetizers (broccoli & carrots & ranch, fruit salad that look canned, & flavorless pork with some bread thingy) and the pre-show did nothing to change our low expectations. Once we were brought into the seating area, they put us at the end of the row where there wasn't room. They made everyone scoot over so everyone was touching. Not exactly comfy and didn't really make thing seems so great. But then we met our waitress Marilyn (hope I spelled that right!) She was great! She said that we are only supposed to get one beer but she kept bringing the pitcher by, asking if we wanted more. The entrees were okay. The chicken was HUGE and the side dishes of rice and veggies were pretty okay. Definitely better than I was expecting. Since we were at the end of the row, we could see what was on Marilyn's cart. One of my friends asked if she could try the mac & cheese that was for the kids. Marilyn more than happily obliged and gave us both mac & cheese and chicken nuggets! For dessert, I had heard that the brownie a la mode was a cake with whipped cream. Well, we got actually brownies with both whipped cream and ice cream! And it was quite tasty! As for the cards at the end that talk about tipping...I completely understand it. Foreign tourists often don't tip because its not customary for them to do it in their countries. And these waiters/waitresses make their living on tips. If most of the people in the audience don't tip because there are not cards and they don't know that they're supposed to, then the wait staff suffers. It's no different than when you go to a restaurant and they have the tip suggestions at the bottom. Anyways, I wouldn't recommend paying full price for this attraction but for $16 a piece, I enjoyed it.

First off, losing a star has absolutely NOTHING to do with the performance. The performers did an amazing job to give up the energy before, during, and even after after the show. This show is meant to keep the audience engaged and asks for participation from the audience. This means everything from just sitting in your chair and making noise to becoming a part of the show. Before the show you can get there early and they put on a sort of preshow and have a bar and the gypsy was doing stunts. After the show they put on some dance music and had a bit of an after party and you could order drinks for about 30 minutes afterwards. The pirates were out afterwards dancing with children and taking photos. During the show there was comedy, a good storyline, and some amazing acrobatic stunts by the gypsy and the green pirate. The acrobatics alone were absolutely amazing, the gypsy is a gorgeous woman who has an amazing strength and abilities to do the things she does (gypsy call me, maybe!?). Her counterpart (the green pirate) is also awesome, I will not give away what they do for stunts but it is worth watching. Our pirate was Jack, the red pirate. He did a spectacular job of keeping us engaged and letting us know when and what to yell out. jack and the rest of the pirates all participate in some acrobatics and some fight scenes. They are all amazing and make it all worthwhile. I just can not bring myself to give it a perfect score because we did have issues with booking. we called to try and split payment between a gift card and a debit card and they were unable to figure out how and said it would just be pending payment until we heard from them again. Instead of calling or allowing us to pay at the window they went ahead and charged the card. When asking if our discounts were put on at the window the lady was baffled and could not figure out what we were charged, guess the bank statement will tell. Also had the steak dinner upgrade and that was also apparently not put onto our tickets, again don't know if we were charged for it or not. As others have said, I would recommend finding tickets for this venue elsewhere because buying from them is a hassle and very expensive.

Not a bad show and food wasn't bad either for overall price. Had fun and didn't feel cheated or tricked like reviews had said. Didn't go expecting something that grand after seeing reviews but I was pleasantly surprised and put it about on par with Medieval Times in terms of a fun corny night out.

I went with my girlfriend and son to the Pirates Dinner Adventure for Father's Day and it was one of the best Father's Day to date. TJ that works there was very professional and took great care of us, plus my 11 year old son had the best time. He got to participate in the show on a few occasions while laughing and enjoying himself immensely. The deal included everything and we got our belly full while enjoying a great show. I have to give kudos to the performers, there were a lot of physical feats and they pulled them off while making it look easy, which I am sure it was not. Whether you live in Orlando or are just visiting, this is a show you have to take in. It was a great way to find family time and have some fun everyone can enjoy. My son was still talking about the experience days later. I highly recommend springing for the VIP experience as well!

This was as bad as the reviews. We were told to be there at 6 for appetizers and pre-show. The appetizers"a small plate of pasta" was served at 645 and the pre-show started at 7. There was nothing to do for 45 minutes but purchase drinks or souvenirs. The room you are kept it was extremely hot and had approximately 10, 4 top tables for 200 plus people. The food was the worst!!! The children's plate is not even edible. The adult chicken was ok but the rice and vegetables were horrible. The dessert again was not good. Would not recommend at all. Medieval Nights much better. Also had a very rude experience over the phone making groupon reservations. The African American who referred to herself as the manager "Kimberly" was extremely rude. When we arrived for our tickets she pointed us out to all of the workers. I was actually thinking she was going to put something in my food. Horrible front end helpers.

Fun time. Make sure to use a coupon. We had a good time. The full price tickets are pretty expensive, but it is easy to find a coupon and they even have promo codes for cheaper prices advertised right on the show's homepage. Look for a discount. We were well hosted. Full bar in the lobby is appreciated, although bar service was overwhelmed and slow getting drinks out. They have many published coupons and drink vouchers that are hard to understand for even the bartenders so check out is often delayed. The show has a very informal atmosphere. Come as you are. Seats are easy to get in and out of if a bathroom break is needed during the show. The staff was friendly. The food was ample in portions, but a C in quality. We were glad we went, but would not go again.

Attended the show last evening due to family being in Florida for spring break week. The actors try their best to be entertaining, but due to the sound system, you cannot hear the story they are trying to convey. What little we could hear was a lame story of saving the princess. With all the impressive entertainment in Orlando, like Cirque, you really don't want to waste your time or money on this act. We sat in the "yellow" section and we were supposed to scream and cheer each and every time our yellow pirate did anything. Really, this is the whole story line. Go if you like to scream and yell for no reason. The only cute part was when they safely loaded a few children in a boat with lifejackets and allowed them to be part of the show. However, at the end, they allowed all small children on stage and several were close to stepping into the moat area as they walked up the steps to the stage. If it wasn't for one pirate who was watching, it could have been tragic. Chicken dinner was hot when served and the waitress was working hard. Wine ordered tasted like someone put out a cigar in it. This is not worth any amount of money. Needless to say, we left early with the scared children once the cannons went off. Save your money and go see real entertainment! Believe all the reviews, I wish I could have convinced my in-laws not to go when I had read them!! I honestly didn't think it could be so bad.

I was very surprised with how horrible the food was here. I wasn't expecting a great meal since it is not a restaurant but boy was I not prepared for what was served. I have been to the Medieval Times show in Buena Park, CA and the food was pretty good. I was expecting for the same caliber of food. It was flavorless and tasted like something you would serve at a nursing home. Our waitress was not great but then again she got a really difficult group next to us that was giving her a hard time bc of the food. I was never offered ketchup, salt or pepper. I later saw the condiments at the end of the show on another table. The show kept my 9 year old entertained which was good for me. I did enjoy the mini after party with the Pirates outside the dinning area where they let us dance and serve alcoholic beverages. That was the best part in my opinion. The Pirates are very entertaining and stay in character. They seem to enjoy what they do which makes it better. I used an online coupon to go. I would not pay full price for this. It is very over priced. $40 max per adult is what I would pay.

I attended this with my wife and children. We had a wonderful time. There is a great story of the Pirates that captured a princess to capture a dragon. There are several aerial acts and sword fights. Besides the wonderful performances by the actors and dancers, there is a really good meal. I had the steak kabobs while my wife and son had the chicken. While I thought the steak was tough, my wife had a large piece of chicken that she let me finish and I thought I should have ordered the chicken as it was much better. After the show, there was a dance party in the cue area that was fun for after the performance. I recommend this experience to all families of all ages and sizes.

After reading bad reviews I was worried about bring my son, spouse and father to the show. I wanted to do something fun and different so I jumped all in. The experience was very good. We had the beef kabobs and they were surprisingly good not a 5 star steak house but good We eat all of our food. The show was great the props and effect were more then I expected. They had great use of getting help from the crowed/kids. Some reviews talked about the yelling and loud sounds. Yes it's not a library it's an environment that encouragous you to relax and just have fun and be involved. (be silly) my 4 yr loved it. My party was 4yr boy 2 men and myself. We all smiled clapped and enjoyed the whole show.. Go see it!!!!!

The best part was the show. The lighting and actors were fun to watch and that is basically what you are paying for. The food is dismissable and the booze expensive as all hell, but we had fun.

The show and atmosphere were great. Even better than Medieval Times (the show, not the food). Kids loved it. Had trouble understanding some of the actors. Main negative was the food. Dry chicken with little flavor. Beef was chewy. Brownie dessert was also dry. This was really disappointing because of my previous experience at a Dallas Medieval Times, which had great food.

We had VIP tickets. The VIP had a lounge serving appetizers. Typical pre frozen appetizers. Meatballs, quiche, shrimp cocktail, veggies and dip. Only water to drink. Very easy to fill up with the snacking. The VIP seating was excellent. Front row. The show was entertaining. Very little in the way of a competition. You are assigned a color pirate, but they only do 10 minutes or so of any type of competition. Very interactive when compared to say, Medieval Times. Kids were allowed on the ship (stage) at one point, they got the help fight, I was volunteered with others to hoist the sails. Fun. The food, was so so. Don't expect gourmet. I had the tomato soup to start. It was like a watered down can of tomato paste with dried basil dumped in. I was actually chewing bits of dried basil. Bleh. I had the roasted chicken for the main coarse. Very tasty. Rice and vegetables were seasoned well. You can definitely tell everything was just sitting in a warmer waiting to be served. Nothing too hot, not cold, but not piping hot and fresh. My wife had the beef skewers. Good sauce on the beef, but I had a hard time chewing the not very tender beef. Dessert was a brownie and ice cream. Can't really go wrong with that. We were also celebrating a birthday. They gave us a giant, filled the whole plate, piece of carrot cake. Carrot cake for a kids birthday?! Meh. We went in January and it was definitely off season. There were maybe 100 people in the place, but that didn't stop them from putting on a full energy show. I'm sure a full house is even better in terms of crowd excitement.

So terrible. Please never waste your money here. Was told that they only do birthday shout outs if you paid for the birthday package. Shout outs were actually free and we never got our birthday boys shoutout. After paying for your tickets you have to pay $5 for self parking and $$ to just take a picture . If you try to take your own picture, you'll get a nasty attitude about how it's their work station and you can't take pictures. Jeez. Appetizers were the only okay thing to eat. Dinner was not worth the money at all. The desert, brownie a la mode was actually a dry piece of a chocolate cake with whipped cream. So much for a la mode. After our experience we wanted to talk to the manager who was absolutely rude. We wanted to let her know how our boys name was never shouted out and she kept telling us it was. Why would we lie ?? You never said his name as we paid for. Never coming again and will make sure I tell everyone about how awful this place was and how unhelpful and rude the manager is. Oh, and for $25 your birthday souvenir is a coloring book. Oh please people. At least the cast was good. That's the only thing you got going for you with a manager like that.

Show was great. Kids 9 and 6 loved it. Buy more expensive tickets if you want to be involved in show. Food was average and service was good.

Show was good! Food was fair. BUT had a really bad experience with the ladies making the reservations over the phone. The afro american sound like women who we had to deal with, were terrible!! They were rude, provided a really poor customer service! I hope the phone calls get monitored as the recording message stated for quality purposes! Would never go back again just because of this!!! They forgot where the money comes from for them to have a paycheck! They should be work more on this! Or find someone else who can do the job right! Other than that, i have no other complaint. ;)

This show would be a decent show if it were about 50% cheaper. We paid for the "VIP" treatment which means we spent $127.00 for "free beer and wine" and front row seats. The VIP room is disconnected from the rest of the waiting area, this means you miss the majority of the first part of the show that includes some sort of side show act with poodles, and a basic explanation of what will be going on. The sound quality of the show - terrible. I often found myself trying to figure out what the actors were saying/singing because the sound quality was muffled. The show itself was very entertaining, and the audience interaction was great. Food - sucked. Terrible. I had the "beef," it was dry and tasteless on a skewer. The "Free Beer" for VIP's means you get a single free beer because the server is too busy serving everyone else to make her way around to fill your 6oz "free" beer again. The building itself is old and rundown, smells dirty, and the staff and especially the check-in staff - TERRIBLE. They clearly do not enjoy their job. The server and the actors are responsible for the upgrade to two stars instead of just one. I feel bad for them because the lobby staff who don't act in character and clearly wish they were flipping burgers someplace else REALLY take away from the experience. If you decide to do this, be sure to use a discount...do not pay full price. There are other shows around town and if it were up to me we would have gone someplace else if it weren't for the Living Social. Ooh yeah, add insult to injury - $5 for parking and expect to add a cash tip...they waitress hands you a sign at the end that says "we don't add gratuity, please tip us $5 per adult! My advice, skip it.

I found this on Groupon and the family LOVED the show. The food however was TERRIBLE. The food choice was beef or chicken. The quality and taste were poor. They should stop serving food all together. The appetizers were canned meat and vegetables. Salads were were served and a cast member squirts Italian dressing or ranch dressing from a ketchup bottle....that's right! Our bottle was labeled ketchup..... The show was great and the kids loved it. I would give the show a five and the food was disgusting. The food reminded of nursing home food. Mushy and flavorless.

We decided to attend the show for our son who is almost 4 years old. I'd give the show about a 6/10 rating. The performers were good. However, the act itself was a bit corny. At least from an adult point of view, though our son seemed to love it and had a good time. What you should expect before you go. Parking: $5.00 per vehicle. Tickets: $66 adults, $40 ages 3-12 The food: Kids get Macaroni and Cheese with 2 chicken tenders. Adults pick was either Chicken breast or beef with rice and vegetables. They allow u to upgrade to Salmon for about $8.00 and Filet Mignon for $18. Picture: When you enter the place they take a picture with u and your family. During the end of the show, a staff member will display the photo in front of you asking if you would like to purchase it for $30.00. They print the pictures out; if you do not buy them they just trash them. If I were them, I rather get something than nothing. I bet if they charged $10, more people would buy them. Pro's: I will start with saying the place is great for kids who are around 3-13. I would not recommend it for adults without kids. You will find it immature and boring. My almost 4 year old son loved it, so it was nice to see him smile and cheer for the pirates. The staff was friendly. The acrobatics/dancers were engaging with the crowd and kids. Con's: Issue 1: For $172 for 2 adults and 1 child, what quality do you expect? At least equivalent to a 3 star restaurant one should expect, that is fair, right? Dinner was equal to what is served inside a middle school cafeteria. The chicken was decent, rice was dry and the vegetables were bland. My sons Mac and Cheese was nasty. The noodles were overcooked and the cheese was appalling. The chicken tenders were a little bit better. Remember, for $172 the food could have been better. I forgot, the meal did start with a salad, which was iceberg lettuce, no mixed greens. After the entrée, people received ice cream and a chocolate brownie, which was ok, but nothing to brag about. Issue 2: How are you going to charge such crazy prices and then charge customers for parking? The parking attendant was hilarious; he said everyone gets mad at him, seeing no one is told in advance that they charge for parking, until they get there. The guy was super cool though. Issue 3: Pictures, this is more for management. I understand that some customers may like having a picture taken there. That is great and all, but $30? If customers could buy them at $10, they would still make a nice profit, seeing pictures are cheap to print (8x10 for under $1). As a business man, I rather make something, than nothing at all. Why not have 75% of your customers buy at $10, than only have 8% buy at $30? (just throwing numbers out there) Issue 4: I don't want to be constantly finding faults, yet when you work in the industry u have certain things u expect. The waiter who took care of the guests in the roll right next to us, he was not serving VIP, it was of customers who had the same tickets as us. He visited the table often, refilled waters, brought over a hot push cart of food to make sure everyone had enough food, and he even brought his section their food items quickly. Our server, visited 4 times during the show and we had to wait about 15 minutes for a takeout box. The 4th visit was when she dropped off a tray which asked for $5 tip for each adult and $3 per child. I strongly believe in leaving a tip, usually at least 20%, but if the service is above and beyond 25-50%. The waiter next to us deserved 25%, but our server, I would say not. She was very nice and professional, just slow. Conclusion: If you have children 3-12 they may find the show enjoyable. Singles or couples without children will probably be bored as the show is designed for children. If you have children less than 30 months, they will probably be scared of the gun shots and flashing lights. The parking issue needs to be taken care of; charging $5 for parking is just terrible, there website does not state they charge for PARKING. For the price of the show, the food is of awful value. I'd guess their kitchen cost of the chicken dinner is $3.50 a plate, if that. Expect to tip $5 cash per person. Expect to spend extra money if you rather have Filet Mignon (18) or Salmon (8). I believe I have those numbers right, but I could be a little wrong. Expect to spend $30 if you want a picture wearing a pirate hat with your family. Before you go, look for discount tickets. They are available at hotels and resorts. Do not buy tickets on-line and pay full price.

Bad food, bad sound. Couldn't understand the words to the show. Even my 10 and 4 year old sons didn't like the show. They were ready to leave 5 minutes into dinner.

This place is absolutely terrible. I went with 2 friends, one who bought the tickets and we will never go again. We purchased VIP tickets and was not at all impressed. First we had to wait in a line and had no idea where we were going, then after asking somebody we finally got directed to the "VIP Lounge" where there were high top tables and chairs, and appetizers. Now let me tell you these appetizers were literally cheese cubes and olives and they looked like they've been sitting out for more than 12 hours. Nobody else was in the "VIP Lounge" as the pirates were calling other guests into the actual seating area. So after standing around confused and employees passing us not offering to help, I went and asked the bartender where we should go because we were so confused. She then took us to a waitress who saw our ticket and was about to just seat us in some random area, and I said but we purchased VIP tickets, why aren't we in the front row? So then they realized we were on the wrong side of the seating area so we went to the other side and sat in the red section, front row...wasn't really sure what the colors meant. When we sat down after waiting for a little while, our waitress came around and said "Hello. Beer?" ....okay? so you're not going to ask for my ID (kids are everywhere) and the only option for drinks you have are beer? I mean... the universal answer is Yes when somebody offers you a pitcher full of beer. It was Miller Lite I'm sure because it tasted like pee. I asked if there was a drink menu or any other drink offerings like I don't know, maybe WATER? And she said, only Pepsi or Sprite and any other drinks you need to get at the bar. Ok...cool. So after the show started, it made us even MORE confused. I had no idea what the story line was, the acting was so atrocious, and our Pirate told us if we don't scream loud enough to cheer him on he's going to kill us and our families.... probably being sarcastic there but c'mon you don't just tell people that at a restaurant. The acting was TERRIBLE, the dancer girl looked like she was sleeping with every pirate on that boat and they were literally dancing around, swinging on ropes like Tarzan, and play fighting. Our waitress had no idea what we ordered, and the food was absolutely terrible. Straight up cafeteria food made to feed the masses. Literally, they brought the food out on cafeteria carts. No joke. We left half way through the show because we couldn't take it anymore. The place smelled really weird like mold and it's in serious need of a makeover with new management. Overall, one of the worst places to go to in Orlando if you're near the International Drive area. You're better off spending your money somewhere else, especially if you're on vacation and looking to have an enjoyable time.

This place is a horrible place! I have never experienced such bad service in my life! The management is horrible, they have no customer service skills. I called and made reservations for 4 tickets and actually paid over the phone. When I got there with my family they made us stand in line for 20 min. When I finally got annoyed and asked why I am standing in line if I already purchased my tickets? This lady tells me they are out of seats. Basically, they sold my tickets to someone else, when those tickets were mine to begin with! After getting upset with them and expressing how unprofessional and stupid there service is, the manager somehow got us seats. And the only reason why I went ahead was because I didn't want to ruin it for my kids. They really wanted to see the show! Long story short, the service is bad, food is old, the actors are not too bad! I would not recommend this place!

If I had paid full price, I would have hated the show and walked away leaving a one star review. The food was cafeteria style, but I saw it as an afterthought at tickets that cost $18 dollars. The salad was nothing more than lettuce mix; calling it a salad is a travesty. The chicken was a huge portion but overcooked, the rice/veggies were... food. The veggies were the best part of the chicken meal (we had no other choice). Whipped cream does not make a brownie (which was actually German chocolate cake) ala mode. The set is pretty awesome and while extremely basic the show itself was entertaining enough. We don't have kids but wanted to hit up a dinner show; this is definitely one for the kids and next time we will likely go to a murder mystery. If you want to drink, expect it to cost you a fair bit (you have to buy a souvenir glass for your first mixed drink.. at a large premium of course). No one pulled me in to take a picture as I walked in, but have you ever been to any tourist trap? They do the same thing at every amusement park in the world. "No thanks" works just fine. Yes, it sounds like a bad experience.... but I felt like it was appropriately priced for a tourist show and that I had gotten what I paid for. You don't spend 18 (or 28) dollars and expect an amazing 4 course meal with a free bud light and a 2 hour broadway quality show.... unless your feet aren't firmly planted in reality. You don't expect free parking in an area where wet n wild charges $15 and universal charges $17.

First off, I used a Groupon to enter the show. Myself, been living in Florida for years knows that 1) This is a tourist spot - which means the price is hiked 2) This is not Cirque du Soleil - So in my mind I'm not hyping this up in my head 3) This is really for the kids. So with that said, I can say that I'm very pleased with the overall performance of the show, the quality of the food and the experience all together. Now I have to admit that if the ticket were purchased a full price, I would've given three stars instead of four. Now, for the people complaining on Yelp that they make you take a picture... that's false. There will be someone there guiding the line, all you have to do is so "No thank you" and that's it - when I did that I was told no problem and proceeded forward. Now before the show starts you'll be waiting in an area that was transformed into to a bar/gift shop area. People, lets not be surprised about that. These dinner shows all have something similar to that. Of course if you want to quench your thirst with a alcoholic beverage you are going to pay a lot for it. So while you wait to get your color called (you'll be given a color associated to a pirate) the cast will give you mini show and you will be giving finger food to nosh on while you wait. The show itself was a lot of fun. My pirate was Cut Throat Jack! Big burly guy that looks like Harley Morenstein from Epic Meal Time. He was soo good at his role that I was jumping and screaming like a little kid! Overall, it was a great show. Anyone who claims that the storyline was hard to follow is either 1) not paying attention 2) missing some brain cells. Well hope this helps you yelpers. Mucho Love Amanda

Don't expect too much! This ain't Shakespeare!! It's a pirate dinner theatre. Go with a coupon / group on. Wait was 45 mins in the bar / holding area / hall / gift shop. The previous show ran over time. The show itself was a lot of fun! They get some adults and as many kids as possible involved in the show. Food: beef or chicken. Both were good! Both came with sides of boiled/steamed carrots and green beans. 1 free beer and refillable soft drink. + a dessert. Go to an early show if you have little ones. Our 8:15pm performance got under way just after 9pm! FYI: $5 extra for parking. Your dinner server will hand you a gratuity card suggesting $5 per adult and $3 per child.

I really expected this place to be bad to be honest, and the first impression wasnt so great, the little area where you have your first snack before the preshow was very odd and uncomfortable, a woman somes out with a cart and serves some random chicken goulash dish on tiny styrofoam plates....then the preshow starts on a stage in the room and we discover the princess being captures by pirates, a gypsy woman does a less than impressive trick on some fabric hanging from the ceiling and then they begin to usher everyone into the main stage area.....but once you are in there, WOW! amazing detail in the main area, great food options, free beer......great show, the first impression almost makes you want to leave until you enter the main stage area, then you are just simply blown away and the place is SO MUCH FUN! would suggest they work on that first room with all the merchandise and preshow because that really had me thinking i had wasted my money, but i surely didnt, this place was awesome!

So let me see where I should start from. My expectations were probably too high because for some reason I thought shows like that would be As good as cirque du soleil. I was wrong. For kids: they seemed to LOVE it For couples without kids: do NOT waste your money and time. This show is not for people without kids. Food: horrible vegetarian lasagne (tasted like barf on my plate) Overall talent... Ok so getting on a mic and talking like a story teller is not talent. None of the actors seemed to be very engaging for people whose kids weren't fascinated by the costumes of pirates. Basically, they were able to swing on ropes, scream, jump on trampolines and then again swing on ropes.... This was such a waste of money and time... I could've gone to cirque du soleil or blueman show which I heard is pretty good. This show was just people screaming in costumes...

Well, ummm... wow... ummmmmmm. This truly is one review I'm not sure how to even start, so I'll tell the whole tale. Small Fry's birthday was coming up on me quickly, and being a lame parental unit, hadn't really thought of a really cool/fun activity to do for her special day. Groupon however, mind read my predicament and offered severely discounted tickets for this Pirate Dinner Show. I snapped up 3 of these bad boys, felt smug and only then (crap-crap-crap) checked Yelp. Pull into the parking lot only to find out that parking is now a whopping $5.00. This does not include someone valeting your car or washing it or a quick vacuum... nothing. However, because we inquired about said services the parking money taker gave us a discount card for the gift shop inside. We walk through the parking lot and towards the entrance of the building. It's themed and decorated with piratey stuff and Small Fry was having fun pointing all the stuff out to us. At the actual will call/ticket booths, I gave them my name and our dining preference of chicken, beef or vegetarian. Please note, you may also "upgrade" to a chicken breast, filet mignon, salmon and a surf and turf option for various up charges. For the love of your wallet, don't do it. Walk into the building and they immediately try to stage you for your pirate portrait. We declined. Then you walk into a large holding area, that has 2 cash bars and a gift shop. We arrived just prior to showtime, so we missed the pre-show and got to walk right into the theatre area. Theatre is set up with a large ship like stage area in the middle with 2 half moon seating areas around. Find your seating area, denoted by color and written on your ticket, and find some seats. Showtime is at 7:30, however that really when they start serving dinner, as the actual show didn't start until after 8. First Course: Iceberg lettuce salad with your choice of Italian or ranch dressing. The server squirts it on for you... Main entree- 1/4 chicken is seasoned and baked. It was fairly tasty and wasn't dry. Beef was a fairly tender chunk of beef, also baked, and came out medium. All were served with green beans, seasoned carrots and a kind of potato o'gratin dish. Not horrible, but more of a cafeteria type offering, rather than fine dining. Drinks are unlimited, Sprite or Coke/Diet Coke or Beer. The soft drinks are horrible; no fizz and the syrup to soda water ratio is totally off. Good luck trying to get your server to refill. So as you're trying to eat your main entree, the lights dim and the show starts... Show synopsis: Pirates, loud singing, muffled dialog, and convoluted story line. We might have missed the setup by not attending the pre-show, but I really don't think much can help this show. There were some cool acrobatic stunts interspersed throughout. The highlight of the show is when they bring up all the kids onto the boat/stage and swear them in as pirates. Seeing Small Fry's joy at being a "real" pirate, was worth sitting through the show. As the show is wrapping up, dessert is served. A plop of "apple pie" drizzled with a non-Hershey brand chocolate sauce. It was gross enough that even Small Fry had one bite and pushed it away. The server then helpfully places a tray in front of you, with a suggested gratuity of $5 per adult and $3 per child. The show ends, YAY, and you funnel out into the holding area for the pirate dance party. The DJ was playing some fun family dance music, and some of the characters are available to take pictures with. The bars are open again at this time. Small Fry milled around the gift shop for a bit. Most of the offerings are junky Oriental Trading Company schlock at highly inflated prices. The only thing I saw that I actually wanted were skull and crossbones bandaids, but at 7 bucks for a small tin, I passed. In closed cases there were replica swords and armor pieces. One odd offering was a US Marine dress sword. To close, Small Fry loved the show. The adults did not. No one liked the dinner. We all went home and ate a snack. Do not pay full price for tickets. Do not pay to just see the show. This is a tired dinner theatre that needs a major overhaul. NOTE: If someone in your party is noise sensitive, please bring earplugs/noise dampener device, or be prepared to hold your little one's ears during the scenes where they're shooting at each other.

I didn't pay full price my tickets were discounted. With that being said I thought the show was great! Don't go for the food it is ok but the show and atmosphere was neat. My daughter is 6 she loved it! My son is 2 we didn't buy him a meal but they brought him one anyway. Definitely a good time had by all.

I, too, agree with DS's review. I came here for a birthday celebration and wasn't impressed. Pull into the parking lot and pay $5 per vehicle for parking. Then, wait in a long line even if you bought your ticket in advance. Once inside, you're asked if you want a picture taken. There's a good-size room where everyone is left to mingle. Off to the side, there are souvenir options to choose from. In the center, they were serving four choices of appetizers. Each had a seperate line. One station served pulled pork and a small square of bread. The second station served chicken salad with a small square of bread. The third station served baby carrots and ranch dressing. The final station served canned tropical mixed fruit which was not good. In the back of the room was a bar. $15 for any drink in a 20 oz. Pirates Dinner Adventure glass. I got a mixed Strawberry and Piña Colada Daiquiri which was good. $7.50 for refills. Once the time arrived to begin the show, actors and actresses came out to give a small pre-show and then call people in by your colored passport you received at the door. The actors and actresses did a great job for the show but I thought the speakers were awfully. I couldn't hear everything they were saying and therefore couldn't follow along with the store-line. During the start of the show, the server came around and asked if we wanted soup or salad. I opted for salad which was a scoop of salad - nothing fancy. Ranch and Italian dressing were the only two options. Pitchers of coke and sprite were on the table. I didn't try the sprite but the Coke was completely flat. Once it ran out, we had a hard time getting it refilled. Once dinner was served, the servers pushed industrial metal carts arounds. They had to help each other lift the carts up the stairs which looked to not be any fun. I had the beer option. I was served two skewers of beef chunks that were seasoned with a sauce. The beef was mildly dry. It came with a few roasted vegetables in the skewer. With the dinner tonight was seasoned rice and mixed vegetables which were good. I asked for more napkins and didn't get them until I asked a second time. Plates were cleared and dessert was served. Dessert was a square of chocolate cake with chocolate drizzle and a dollop of whipped cream. It was decent. Once the dessert plates were cleared, out server asked several times if we needed anything and/or had questions. She then passed out trays that had a note laminated and taped down inside of it. The tray was asking for a tip for the server. It was suggested that you tip $5 per adult and $3 per child. Overall, I thought the experience was over priced - even with their discounted Easter special for April which was child's admission for everyone. The whole place was tired-looking and in need of improvements including modern special effects and better speakers.

Enjoyed the $40.00 discount from the Orlando magazine and still paid a goodly $100+ for the night. It was a good 2 hours of fun and laughs. The crew are more than actors, they are amazing. The show incorporated the audience and many children. They looked like they were very happy to be there. Nice story and well played out. Planning another trip later next year will want to go.

we went here for the father's day dinner special with our extended family to celebrate our friend and my husband's first father's to be day since our little girl is due 8 days away from the holiday. We were excited because their five year old loves pirates, and they had where dad's get to eat dinner free. We ended up getting there and signed up for the VIP package for 25 dollars more to where as you are waiting for the dinner you get to go to the VIP lounge and have appetizers like mushroom ravioli, shrimp cocktail, empanadas, quiche, cheeses, water etc. The dinner itself I must say was not very good you get a choice between chicken and steak, I had the chicken my husband had the steak. he said the steak is only good with A1 it was very dry and flavorless, the chicken was pretty much the same. They give you soup or salad prior to the main entree, and the soup i had was tomato which tasted like they were making Campbell's tomato soup and put in flour to thicken it more and had raw clumps of flour in the soup and it was very awful and had no taste, could have really used at least salt for any hope of having a good taste. The vegetables with the main courses were obviously the frozen vegetable medley you can buy in bulk bags and they give those with no seasoning what so ever as well. The rice was the fairest food they had on the entree that had flavor and was the best thing on that plate. The dessert was a frozen sheet cake with very poor chocolate frosting and reddi whip on top with thrown around chocolate syrup. The cake I had to say was the most enjoyable part of the actual dinner, the appetizers in the VIP lounge were even better than the actual dinner. The boys did appreciate they did get unlimited pitches of beer during the show so that was the best thing for them for the father's day celebration. I had tea which in itself was way too sweet and had artificial flavoring in it that was not enjoyable either. The show itself was pretty good once it finally picked up, the beginning was sort of boring. I enjoyed seeing the amount of interaction that the guests have in the show. Where we were seated in the blue section the steps I almost tripped and fell several times on my way to the bathroom because the floor had a cord that was pulled loose and I had to be careful and watch for it in the dark to make sure i didn't fall on the cord or the stairs so I wouldn't go into early labor or hurt the baby. So watch when you are there during dinner for loose cords because obviously you can really hurt yourself. The floor on the way to the bathroom is very uneven as well and if you have to go during the show it is dark and uneven floor that will make you trip if your not holding on to anything. The waitress was very nice but not that attentive during the show. If you have kids beware of the child options for the food our friend's little boy that was with us got the chicken fingers and the mac and cheese dinner they get as their option the mac and cheese was obviously bagged very nasty cheese tasting noodles and the chicken nuggets were cold in the center as if they had been previously frozen and just heated in a microwave which they looked and tasted just like that. We ended up an hour later getting a chicken adult meal to go for him at least after having complained about the kid's meal to our waitress. Over all the experience was bad and apparently dangerous for pregnant women. The food was not great or impressive what so ever. It was something that the dads enjoyed though for the beer and the show was not so bad. Would not recommend or go back again though.

To preface this review, I got my tickets not only on sale ($18/ea) but had a LivingSocial coupon as well, so I paid $31 overall when the tickets normally run $65 (WTF??) each. This was still $31 that would have been better spent elsewhere, such as for kindling, or perhaps shredded and used as replacement cat litter. Despite calling and making a reservation beforehand, we arrived at 7:45 for the 8:15 show and found ourselves waiting and waiting in front of a check in line that did. not. move. for more than twenty minutes in the heat outside - oh, and that was AFTER being hit up for FIVE DOLLARS to park the car to see the SHOW WE JUST PAID TO SEE. We didn't have any cash, and naturally they didn't take cards for their ridiculous toll, so there was a convoluted system of holding my driver's license hostage until I paid, except they didn't manage to get the IDs over to the front window in our half hour of useless waiting and I was given a vague promise to have it 'brought to me' during dinner....guess what wasn't brought to me at dinner. We were pointed in by yet another disinterested person and ended up hanging out in a dark hallway for a few minutes before somebody pointed us into yet another room, this one filled with a bar, souvenir stand and really cheesy, worn props - think a barrel haphazardly filled with expanding plumbers foam that had been spray-painted gold to look like "gold coins" - except it looked more like king midas had a bit too much to drink and heaved in the nearest barrel. We were immediately confronted by a photo guy, doing what photo guys do, and pointed to a door on the far side of the room, where we proceeded to stumble through a poorly-lit "arena" to sticky seats conveniently situated with a terrible view of the ramshackle stage, complete with stage lights that flashed like a satanic version of Simon every three seconds, testing the limits of human retinas. The show was awful. I mean REALLY bad. The nearly-nonexistent plot could have been scrawled by a second grader, the pirates talked in inexplicably high affected voices (think TV kids' show) that instantly grated the nerves, the sound system was set to 11 and it sounded like a revamped speak-n-spell to boot. The pirate "callers" were fairly lackluster, drinking very obviously and having out of character conversations with one another between their "parts". And, ah yes, the food. Let's take a moment to review a few things mentioned on the show's website as well as the LivingSocial listing, shall we? *** Main Course Choose from: Treasure's Chicken Oven-Roasted Half Chicken carefully marinated in a savory blend of spices, served with Caribbean Rice and Seasoned Mixed Vegetables. Or Buccaneer Beef Kabobs Tender cuts of beef sirloin with roasted vegetables on a skewer served over a bed of Caribbean Rice, accompanied by Buttery Mashed Potatoes and Seasoned Mixed Vegetables." *** Nope. Wrong. There's no or. We were never even given a choice, just a dry half a chicken plopped on a plate alongside greasy, anise-flavored (??) rice and what looked to be bulk frozen vegetables zapped in the microwave. *** Princess Anita's Royal Dessert Fudge Brownie a la mode A dessert fit for royalty *** Swing and a miss. Unless "a la mode" is new French for "with disappointment", this was a lie as well. No ice cream in sight. Not offered. The show was loud, alternately way too dark and way too bright, unnecessarily complicated, and the food was horrible. Do not pass go - just pass this poor excuse for a show right by. As an aside, I don't blame the actors/actresses. I'd be lackluster if that's what I had to work with too.

Wow... just as I was about to write about this place. D.S. nailed the review right on the head. The review is SPOT ON without a doubt. I'm just going to tack on to her review by saying that when you pull in to the parking area, they ONLY take cash on the spot. But they can hang on to your Driver's License to be charged the $5 fee at the ticket window. We came here for our kid's birthday so we thought it would be fun. As you walk in to the building you are immediately pulled in for a money hungry photo op. Unfortunately we accepted and got to wear a pirate hat that's probably been cycled through thousands of time on other people's head. I obliged and we got our family picture taken and charged $30. By the way, you're NOT allowed you to take a picture with your own camera. I was there for the pre-game show and it was somewhat amusing where there's a mini scuffle/betrayal between the kingdom and pirates which develops into the show you're about to see. The bar is open and there's not much of a selection. The mix drinks and regular beer was pricey, but you get to keep the glass. Unfortunately, one of the glass was labeled with a sticker instead of a printed inlay. The food was ok, nothing spectacular. Unlike what D.S said, beer was NOT unlimited. The first pitcher of Bud Light for the entire table was free, but that's it. Getting the server to come back with stuff like more drinks or anything is virtually impossible. For me it was a cool little production, but with the attitude from some of the people working here to the mediocre food I wouldn't think it was worth it. On the flip-side of things you can take them as playing into their pirate character, whom don't give a hoot. Overall, our kid had a blast and for what it's worth I can't bear to take the joy out of that. So if you're here with kids, do it! You're kids WILL love it. If you're here with other adults, have a few pitchers! I had a combo of having a few drinks with a kid that loved the show, so I'll have to give it 3 stars. I too highly recommend doing some online searching for the cheapest price. You do NOT want to pay full price for this. Oh and if you like to be on a winning team, choose the Blue pirate section. You won't be dissapointed. The Purple pirate was pretty entertaining too.

I loved this place and enjoyed it very much. The actors were amazing and funny. Children will love this place, there are interactive activities. The five star isn't really for the food though, especially for those with braces. The meat is tough and is over spiced. I would recommend bringing a purse with just-in-case food for kids. The dessert was great tasting, but a little crumbly.

I am glad I did not listen to the reviews when booking this event for my family. After attending last night, I am surprised to read that so many people disliked the show. The entertainers were skilled athletes and the show was entertaining and funny. The service was great and the food was delicious. I am allergic to chocolate and our server offered me a dessert alternative at no extra charge. The show was very interactive and 2 of my family members were invited to participate in the show. My family had a great time and will definitely recommend this to friends and family. If you like dinner shows like Medieval Times you will truly enjoy this attraction. I would recommend you ignore the bad reviews and judge for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

My wife took me and our son here for Father's Day. Let me start off by saying that I thought the show was very good. I give the show 4 stars but they fail at other key points. My wife purchased the VIP plan and let me warn you, it's not worth it. I believe she paid an extra $25.00 per person and all you get is a Souvenir Program (ours stated California on the front cover as if the CA show had too many left over programs and that why they are free...small detail I noticed). You also get some cheap hors d'oeuvre (mushroom ravioli, shrimp, quiche, hard chicken balls and cheese) and first row seats. There is a separate VIP section in the back of the waiting area and this place does not believe in Air Conditioner. It was packed on Sunday and it was hot inside. I imagine they want to save money. Back to the VIP, you don't get free parking (everyone pays $5 for self park), you don't get a drink, not even a soda (I paid $2.50 for a can of Coke in the VIP Section), and you don't get a free photo (paid $10 for photo). The VIP section is where they serve you the free appetizers and they even advertise a VIP bathroom which is nothing more than one toilet for everyone, really!!!?? I purchased two mixed drinks at $10.00 a pop in a plastic cup which is not surprising. The bartender made a comment which I though was funny. He said, "its runny because I put an extra shot of rum in it." For $10 dollars, I expected a few extra shots so he didn't do me any favors! We entered the dining hall and stage area and we were seated in the front row and they brought us complimentary champagne (No its not Dom Perignon). The advantage of seating in the front or VIP is that they are more likely to choose you to participate in the show at some point. If that's your thing, it might be worth it for you but like I said, they may choose you. I was chosen and the task was very basic and simple, its not like you're jumping off the ship or doing some crazy stunt, it's a very basic task like pulling a rope or playing hot potato. The food was nothing special. When we checked into VIP, we were offered to upgrade our meal to Lobster for $18.50 or Filet Mignon for $15.00 and we declined. I imagine the quality is definitely not worth it. I would've thought that was an automatic upgrade when you pay extra for VIP but it isn't. We all ordered the beef option which was included in the price and it was a well done flavorless tough piece of meat. They do not give an option to how you want it cooked. They all come well done and not very hot. It comes with potatoes and green vegetables and that's it. It's not a memorable meal. The other option was chicken I believe. You also get a very tiny salad before the main course. You get all you can drink soda and beer which if you are a beer drinker, you will be happy. I believe everyone gets the free beer (well I shouldn't say free because you did pay for it with your ticket). After dinner, comes vanilla ice cream with apples and again it's nothing to write home about. For what they are charging, they should be serving something a little better. After you have paid so much money, they bring you a card at the end of the service that recommends what you should leave as a tip. I have never been a fan of this. I think people should leave what they want and what they can afford. It recommended you leave $5.00 per adult and $3.00 per child. It's not a lot but after you have paid over $300 for below average food and VIP treatment, you don't feel like leaving anything. The show is good and it has a lot of action and stunts. The pirates are funny and there is some singing along with some drama. The little ones may be a little scared due to loud noises like gun shots and dragons but I think it caters to people of all ages. I preferred this show over Arabian Knights. Just remember folks, STAY AWAY from VIP unless you want front row seats. From what I gathered, all the seats are pretty good. The place is not that big and the view is going to be pretty much the same.

My boyfriend, his parents, and I all went to this show during their visit to Orlando. Now, this isn't great theatre, nor is it gourmet food. If that's what you're expecting, don't bother. The show is entertaining, gets people involved, and has lots of pretty cool stunts. My biggest complaint is that the show can drag on a little. Other than that, their audio is pretty marginal. The aerial work within the show is really great though and was the highlight of the show. The food was decent but nothing amazing. I had the chicken and it's about what I would expect from a mass produced meal. Definitely worth going if you're an Orlando resident who is running out of new attractions to visit. As far as visitors to the city, the biggest perk of this show is that it is nice and air conditioned, is entertaining for all ages, serves alcohol and is a great relaxing evening compared to many of Orlando's attractions because you get to sit through it. Activities with sitting are great after a long day at the parks....

The show in itself was highly entertaining and funny. The food was what was expected if a performance feeding 500+ people. You can't go here thinking it is a full bar; limited beer selections. We upgraded for the VIP room and was disappointed from what was described by the website. We met one person from the show and no one else stopped by the talk. It was nice to sit down before the show and not be part of the hoard of people in the main area. You are asked to pose for a picture upon immediately entering, but you don't have to pay for the picture. Overall good show.

Where to start? Check in and phone staff: Useless. I made a reservation with a massively unhelpful and unfriendly guy who promptly lost our reservation. Then upon arrival they refused to let us use our coupon they had told me on the phone would be fine. After speaking to a manager they let us use the coupon. Cost: Thankfully we had the BOGO coupon so the night cost us $30 each, which was frankly, still too much for what you get. I just could NOT imagine paying $62 (regular adult admission) for this! Boy, I'd really be unhappy! And do you know you must PAY TO PARK?!? It's only $3, but just the fact that they charge is insulting. Pre-Show: We intentionally arrived late so we missed this show. I'm my opinion these dinner shows open their doors an hour and a half before dinner just so you'll buy overpriced drinks and overpriced souvenirs. Food: This is your typical mass produced, low quality fare. They keep the lights so low you can barely see your food, which is a good thing. You get a chicken quarter, a circle of processed pork with the strangest looking white "mushroom" sauce, yellow rice and salad. For dessert you get a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a scoop of some apple-ish dessert out of a big, cafeteria style tray. Oh, and they NO LONGER INCLUDE FREE BEER OR WINE. Yep, just soda and water. Pitchers of cheap beer will cost you an additional $12. Service: Actually, our server was good. Probably the best part of the night. He agreed with us when we complained about the lack of free beer. He was prompt and helpful. Kudos to him. Tip, btw, is automatically included at 20%. Show: The show is fine for young children who like pirates. For adults there is A LOT of down time. They do a good job of getting people up and in the show. The story line, if there was one, was tough to follow. The lady who did the gymnastics was older than expected (in her late 40s, early 50s?). The leotard was not flattering on her. Our blue pirate "won", so my son was happy. And THE ONLY SHOW TIME IS 7:30pm. Every day, only 7:30pm. This makes it really hard for those of us with little kids. By the time we got out of there at 9:30pm it was way past his bedtime. Lots of little kids were being carried out asleep. I guess the show didn't hold their attention! And there are only 6 bathroom stalls for all the women in the place. You may want to slip out just before the show ends to get in the bathroom line.

Got a living social deal on this place for $19 & decided to take the kids. I made a reservation and still didn't get everyone in my party to sit together!!The show was entertaining for both my 2 & 6 yr old boys; however, the food was average at best.

Could be sooo much better! Acrobatics we're nice but, everything else was pretty dreadful. We had bought the captains upgrade which was supposed to have better food but ended up being the same thing as everyone else. Not enough seating during the pre show, food was REALLY bad!!! Our server was VERY rude, and seemed to have trouble understanding English. Oh, and parking is now $5, but you do get a voucher for $5 off any purchase in the souvenir shop. By the way if you try to call and complain they'll only tell you that there's not currently a manager there and they ask to take your name and number but will not call you back.

Loved it! I have lived here in Orlando for 14 years and have never been to this show. I just bought a Livingsocial voucher for myself and 9 others in my family. I was not sure what to expect but we were ALL pleasantly surprised! It was packed, but everything went smoothly and for the most part, fast. The show was great and everyone from my 10 month old son, to my 13 year old niece had such a great time. The kids even got to go on stage, so my nephews were in heaven! The place was packed, and everything was pretty much flawless. The actors were great and the staff serving our food and drinks worked their butts off! We went to the 8pm show, and I would for sure recommend this to any family looking for a fun night out! TIP: since this was with a Livingsocial voucher, just be sure to read all the fine print. You have to call and confirm your reservation, don't just show up. And be prepared to pay for parking and tax and tip (of course) when you get there. If you know all of that and come prepared, I promise you, you will not be disappointed!

WARNING! WARNING! I came to this place because my father in law made a crunch time decision and the sales women at the Buena Vista Resort and Spa had told us (aka lied to us) that this show was better than the Medieval times and Arabian Knights. So my father in law being a nice man said, "Sure! we will go and see it! It's going to be a great show!!" And so the story began as we all went to the Pirate's show. Well, it turned out to be $50 per person for the 7 of us, which may I add the ad said that it included appetizers, chicken, soda, soup and desert. If you didn't have the ad it was $65 a person. They asked that you arrive 30 minutes to an hour beforehand, so you did not miss the "Pre Show." Entrance to the Restaurant: You show up and you get ripped off right at the door. $3 parking. (what kind of crap is that? As if you just didn't get rapped for the stupid show to begin with???) . Before you enter the restaurant you pay at the front window and Get this!!! You have an option to upgrade your meal plan and get salmon and better chicken. The sign said $3.50 for chicken breast, and I can't remember the price for salmon. There was also a sign by the cashier that said, "We are sorry but we don't have soup today." ( What kind of crap is that? False advertising! Scam...scam..scam..scam..scam...can I say Scam one more time. ) Preshow: Entering into this restaurant they throw hats and give you swords and ask you to stand in a certain spot so they can take a quick picture of you. ( Scam scam...scam...scam...) As you look ahead there was a souvenir shop ( Scam ... scam...scam...) As you look to the other side there is a full bar ahead. I arrived early as I was told and this is where you are suppose to get your appetizers, which is nothing more than microwaveable food from Costco. And believe me you have to fight for it. They only pass out about 5 platters with about 20 meatballs from Costco and 25 chicken wings. So as soon as it came out everyone hovered over it to try to get a little meat ball. This was the appetizer dish they advertised on the brochure. ( Scam... scam...scam..) May I add that there were more than 200 people there sharing 5 platters of appetizers. ( Scam scam scam scam scam). Now the preshow...Lame lame lame. Poor dialog, bad acting, bad sound system with a bad microphone and sound person. This is what it sound like "hello fellow psst...psst.. patrons..psst..psst..." At the end of the boring pre show they take you in, and may I remind you the lame pre show lasted 30 minutes. ( starving at this point) The only good part of the whole pre show was this girl who was a con tourist that was muscular like a man that can twist her body in all weird angles. The Show: Lame Lame Lame . The corniest stuff I have ever seen. Again the only good part was the girls. They actually have talent and can do cool acrobatic things. The men, all they can do is swing back and forth on the rope, and re-act the same sword fighting scenes over and over again for 2 hours. I was not impressed. Maybe their bodies were in good shape but that was about it... On the positive: They did a good job to try to include the children in some of the scenes which was nice. The set up of the stage and the boat was also nice. The boat and the decor I have to say was a nice touch. And the special effects of the stage was nice. I can see kids liking the decor in the inside, along with their costumes. The food: chicken was actually not bad accounting for the fact that it was mass produced for 400 or more people. You get some vegetables, potatoes a piece of pork with gravy and some school lunch salad with that. Desert was a piece of apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was okay for $15 at most, but definitely below standard for $50. May I add again no soup...( you would think they would at least offer you a freaken biscuit or something...scam scam scam...). They also give you a pitcher of soda, which the waitress said she will try to refill more than twice if she has time. ( what? You don't have time??....WTF? ) Toward the end of the show is where they try to sell you the pictures they took of you when you came in for $20. Of course when they asked me I said " hell no!", but my father in law bought it in a heart beat. End of the show: They try again to sell you the pictures by holding them up as you leave. (Scam scam scam scam..) 1 star for the the girl actors for being extremely talented in acrobatic things...and that is about it. I felt like I got ripped off. No wait! I did get ripped off!

I REALLY wanted to love this show. I went in with LOW expectations as we only paid $19 with a living social deal. I did not expect a Broadway production or fabulous food. But this place could not even produce a a one-star result. It was really terrible. Food completely inedible, our server was horrendous (although the other ones were pretty decent). Show is just not good, sound system even worse. It's impossible to understand words. Even my 3 year old was bored. We couldn't wait to leave.

For a dinner show, this is pretty standard fare. You have your pre-show which sets up the story, you have your comedy in the form of the bawdy first mate (who was really amusing in my opinion) and then you're ushered into the ships for seating. Each "Ship" is given their own Pirate to cheer for, as they do their stunts. And let me tell you, the pirates are certainly eye candy! Our pirate, Antonio (Yellow) was a swashbuckler and wielded the twin rapiers. Others included hammers, a single blade and a whip. You can tell that it's well choreographed, that they put a lot into this. - From someone who's done ren faire, stage combat is never as "easy" as it looks from the audience. The story unfolds, much as you expect as it should, including the typical "Disney" moment, and everyone goes Awwww! There is a lot of interaction with the crowd as well, and that is what makes this a charming show. The food was actually surprisingly good. I opted for just the chicken, not the chicken & pork, and I wasn't disappointed. It was well seasoned, juicy and not over done. The rice was good and the potatoes not greasy. Dessert, while a bit small was tasty too! If you look on their website, you can find a reasonable deal, and not have to pay door price. There are options to upgrade, and you can avoid the pictures if you're nice to the hostess. Drinks CAN be pricy, but you get to keep the glasses. Would I return? Yes. I thought it was a fun way to spend an evening!

Sorry but I must support the single gracious star Alice have blessed this horrible event-restaurant with. Way tooo generous, but we haves no lesser choice. The highlight of my experience a couple years ago reads as Alice has so expertly described but detours like this: As the Pirate server is working his way down the line "ARGGG-Argggg-in' along tossing the hind 1/4 chicken parts on everyone's plate. Opps, he messes up in the dim lighting with the trajectory toward my plate- hits the edge of the plate and the hind parts ends up in my lap- Yes, This greasy hind quater in my lap - he hardly missed a beat though (after all there was another 20 or so plates to go ARGGgg-in at before the row was done. Good hearted pirate he was though, he made up for it in his mind! He slings additional hind 1/4 on my plate. Yum! Only thing missing was the Tim Taylor upward toned: "Hummp?? " IMO- This place (food, show & got-cha tactics) so sucs- it persists only due to their tourist traffic location, as it would have shut down long time ago if locals were there main "booty" source.. Great Job Alice- You nailed them nice and proper! So DEAD-ON- They haven't changed, or tried to change apparently, a single bit. ARGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE... Over priced and AWEFUL FOOD! The place sticks of MOLD. (Seriously, had a friend who is allergic to mold who couldn't make it past the entrance. The food is horrible, the servers don't care, & the place should be closed by the health dept!

I am going to rate this for the parents out there who are wanting to take their kids to do something they will LOVE. Did they kids care that the food was bad? No. Our children are 5 and 7 and although my 7 year old did not finish her food because she didn't like it, my 5 year old did not finish his food because he was too into the pirate show to eat!! Some of the reviews are accurate - the boat area does smell bad, like mildewed water I think. But we go over it. This is a tourist thing, not a local thing. It isn't going to be a well rounded wonderful and Disney-esque. But it has pirates and princesses and sword fighting and a dragon....they just loved it. And maybe it was because it was a weeknight/slow, but all children in the audience were able to get on the boat as part of the performance and at the end, the children were also able to surround the boat and help capture the princess. Our kids were so happy the not-so-good meal was at the bottom of my list. I came here for my kids and left here glad we went....dining was not the purpose of this evening. There was a small dance party with the pirates after the show which was fun as well - nothing fancy but an opportunity to dance with pirates? My kids were in!! And the cast was very kind and interactive. 4 stars because I do think the food could be better, even with mass production, but it is not enough to keep us from coming back if our kids request to do so. And it would be good if the moldy smell was gone (but once the food came/guns fired it was unnoticeable); however, if you have allergies this may be something to consider. We paid $40/adult and $30/child. Anyway, I just wanted to post the review for what it is...my kids would have missed out on a lot of fun had I listened to all of the 1 star reviews.

If you've ever been to a Medieval Times show, then you're essentially in for the same experience but with a swashbuckling theme instead of one centered around the days of King Arthur. The price at first seems a bit steep for tickets, but once you've taken in a full meal (soup/salad, drinks, entree, dessert) and a pre-show, show, and afterparty complete with photo opps with the actors and dancing, you'll appreciate just how much goes into the entire experience. The pre-show essentially sets the stage for the events of the main show, and keeps the audience entertained while waiting for things to begin. Appetizers are even served while watching and waiting, or perusing the small stores around the "foyer". The main show is pretty good, consisting of a neat story, several small-scale pyrotechnics, fight scenes, a few comedic actors/scenarios, and impressive acrobatics - all while you enjoy a very tasty meal with surprisingly filling portions. The show is also largely interactive, with quite a number of audience members (kids and teens mostly) joining in to do such things as take the pirate's oath, and raising the sails on the ship. And of course the auditorium is segmented by color so that you can root for your color's pirate representative at all times during the show, with as much screaming as possible. :) The wait staff (wenches - lol) work extremely hard to keep things as seemless as possible, while being incredibly-attentive to the needs of parents that need a drink at this point during the day/evening's festivities. (lol) The after-party basically consists of party music playing while the teens goof off and dance around, parents shop with their kids for pirate gear, and everyone else takes advantage of photo opps with the actors. This was the point at which I became the most impressed with the Pirates Dinner Adventure. I've never seen performers so sincerely thankful and appreciative of those attending their show before this. Although I'm more than certain they were all extremely tired from their respective performances, they still found the time to say thanks OVER and OVER again, and take pictures that showed actual real enjoyment for what they do. Absolutely impressive! I'd definitely go back just to support their efforts, and probably will next time we're in Orlando. So, verdict: pricey? - yes; entertaining? - yep; worth the time and money? - definitely; will your kids enjoy it? - judging from the screams and how many new pirates walked out of the place, I'd say that's a safe "certainly". Give it a shot - I don't think you'll be disappointed by any means. Kudos to the PDA. lol

Gross, gross, gross!!! The show was mediocre; in all honesty it lasted about 30 minutes too long but the kids had fun so that's all that matters on that aspect. It just seemed to never end. The food was absolutely disgusting... I'd put it on a level below hospital or school cafeteria food! I'm pretty sure the "steak" was spoiled. We aren't snooty folks about our food but let's just say we hit the Taco Bell drive through on the way home! For the price, they need to clean the place and upgrade the food several notches.

  • Ari W.

Arrrrrghhhh... me thinks I will not return. To be fair, the kids enjoyed it, but the food is mediocre and the show is... well... Let's say this... Given all the quality entertainment that we have in Orlando, this leaves a lot to be desired. However when you consider the cost and that you get dinner, maybe you can make and argument for the place. First off, self parking is now $5 which I think is just a joke. For $5 they should valet my car. Yes I know that to park downtown its going to cost me more than that, but I'm not down town and they aren't maintaining a parking deck or even have someone to tell me where to park. Secondly, when you check in you are asked if you want chicken or beef with the options to upgrade to filet mignon or salmon. When you get your tickets you are told to walk in and that you are in the green section. We however had no idea where to go, could we go in? And there was no one to direct us where we needed to go. When we asked the attendant just looked at us as he didn't know the answer either. FInally, we found our way into the theater and our green section, but again no one to direct us and we had to ask some people "are these seats taken?" They tell you the show starts at 7.30pm but thats not really the case. They serve a pathetic salad at 7.30pm and I had to ask for one lone tomato in the bowl. The kid started to get ancy and kept asking when it would start which wasn't until 8.15ish I think. (seemed like eternity). My chicken was actually decent, oven baked and well seasoned, potatoes carrots and greenbeans all on the plate were decent enough. Dessert was a poor excuse for apple pie and we didn't touch it after the first taste. So for the show. The actors did the best they could with a poorly written story that was difficult to follow. Pirates raid the Governor's Gala and you (the audience) were taken prisoner and are now crew rooting for your colored Pirate. Of course there's a maiden in distress etc. and I won't spoil the ending in case you can't figure it out. But the songs are weak... the acrobats are now passe' Cirque style that are not done not so well. The fighting choreography and sound effects just aren't there. At times it seemed like the cast was just going through the motions. So with all that said, is it worth it? The kids did enjoy it, it corny but I think there are better ways to spend your time and money in Orlando.

Brought some friends that were visiting from out of town and it was a very dissapointing experience. For closer to $50 dollars you get to enjoy mediocre food and show. A piece of chicken, salad, few vegetables, bad beer and a dessert from a box for $50? the most expensive food I have ever paid for frozen food. No wonder why patrons like me that live locally don't ever eat here. And the show what can I say,so terrible we have to leave early! And don't even mention the horrible smell inside. Our server was not an exception. Won't come back!

The food here is terrible. We waited 1 hr and 15 minutes with little to nothing to do with 4 kids. The show was loud and confusing. The audience participation was fun. Nowhere close to being worth the money spent. I wouldn't pay more than $10 for this thing.

This was not a good experience! Don't go and spend the money... Place was half full and they still made us sit on the far back corner and could not see! We asked to move and they would not move us. Food is not worth the money either...

So on a recent family vacation (my fiancé & his 2 sons) to Orlando in the style of doing all thus touristy we came to the pirates dinner show . Let me say I've been to my share of dinner shows - Dixie stampede , medieval times etc . Those all pretty entertaining and decent food . Pirates just kinda fell short for me . From the other reviews I've seen this attraction can be pretty pricey - my fiancé got our tickets discounted through our hotel & after the evening I'm sure he was happy about that haha . So here's how the evening went - they told us to arrive early for a pre show which we opted out of , we arrived 20 minutes before the actual event . As we pull in we are told it's 5 dollars for parking .. Self parking / I thought that was a little odd since at most places self parking is free & a 5 dollar fee gets you valet parking - also since this is a dinner attraction I think the parking should be part of the over all cost because it isn't cheap , but hey it's a tourist trap & were not cheapos so my fiancé paid & we parked . As you walk up the outside looks as if it's seen it better days and could use a new coat of paint but the pirate decor is pretty neat & adds to the theme . We noticed at check in line so my fiancé got in line , I opted for a cigarette & the boys checked out the pirate stuff outside . After about 15 minutes he came to get me ; from what he told me the organization at the window was really poor . Walking in the front door you are then pestered for a photo op which we turned down in an effort to go in the the theater to be seated . We were escorted to our seats in the orange section towards to back of rows ( which was fine with me & my man ) as soon as we were getting settled a very anxious manager came over & told us that since we only had 4 people we had to move forward - he shoved us into another section like Cattle & we began to attempt to get comfortable again .... That would be too nice then we were asked to move down the row yet AGAIN . At this point I was really annoyed - luckily the waiter showed up & I calmed down at the thought of a lovely adult beverage :) The drinks were over priced - go figure - but my fiancé & I were just happy to have a little liquor to get through this . Sodas are included in the meal & are ample which is a nice plus . The food was ok , nothing great or even close to the food I've had at other dinner shows . The dessert was un edible it was like a nasty apple pie , soggy & syrupy , with ice cream on top . I gave an extra star for the setting of the show , the ship is really cool & so are the lighting & sound effects . The acting is horrible as is the story line - but his kids enjoyed it & that was all that mattered after all . The audience involvement in the show is pretty cool , each colored section has it's own pirate you root for . Although if you're not sitting close you'll probably miss out , as his kids didn't get picked for anything . I'd say if you have younger children they might enjoy the show but all in all we weren't impressed :/ . I'm being nice with the extra star because the decor was pretty neat We agreed next time we'd go to medieval times - it's wayyyy better all around ! Management : seriously the 5 dollar parking ?? You're charging 40 bucks a head and that can't be included ? Get a grip

Just attended show in Orlando, Fl in July 2013 while our family was in town ( we are from Tampa)- 8 tickets purchased total . I just wanted to note how disappointing it was, and highly unlikely we would ever bring other visitors there . Between being told to arrive by 6:30 and not even be able to go inside until 7:00pm and then have to wait another 1.5 hours in an area just to produce sales of drinks and merchandise. Show up just before the show and you will be fine. The food was horrible. Cold scalloped potatoes, half of a carrot worth of slices, overly salty gravy. Dessert- who puts chocolate sauce on Apple pie? AND our soda and beers was FLAT and watered down- when we asked our waitress about it- she said that is how ALL the soda is. Please note that it was very difficult to hear the fun and wonderful actors ( they were the best part) due to the too loud sound/music. The outdoor of your facility is in deplorable conditions- overgrown grass, non working lights, severely faded paint/sidin

Worst. Show. Ever. I went to see their new "Camelot Knights" dinner show last night. I was totally disappointed in this show. You enter the dinner theater around 6pm and the show was over just after 7pm!! That is insane for a show that normally charges $55 per person. The show itself was not horrible, but it wasn't good either. The food - NEEDS IMPROVEMENT. What was worse was that our server was REALLY BAD. When the server came to the table when we sat down, she told us dinner consisted of chicken, ribs and "two rounds of beer" in addition to the soda. Well, first I asked her if she could get me a diet coke as she greeted us, which she agreed to do. I had to ask two more times and finally got the diet coke AFTER meals were served to the entire group she was serving. Then, members of our party were asking for beer. She kept saying "it's coming". It did come - just before dessert. Mind you, the other servers seemed to be much better than our server. The other servers were serving dessert while ours was JUST finishing serving dinners. The other servers seemed to fill the beers regularly, ours didn't even have beer to serve. I wouldn't go back to this show - or recommend it to family and friends.

Took my son here as a surprise for his 3rd birthday. He loves pirates, thinks he IS a pirate, tells me I'M a pirate, walks around with a wooden spoon in his pants like a sword and wears a towel on his head pretending he has pirate hair. So in short...my son is infatuated with anything having to do with pirates. Now on to the review: THE GOOD -We paid $35 a head as we opted to go without the dinner which I still feel is a bit pricey, hoever we did not have to pay for our son, who was not 3 yet! (2 and under are free). -The stage/ship was very impressive between the lighting, design and overall size of the ship. -The cast was great. They interacted with the guests and tried to get everyone involved which was nice. When my son received his cake a pirate came over and asked for a piece to which inspired a huge smile on my son's face who nodded yes. That moment alone was worth every penny. -The show itself was entertaining. There is singing, acrobatics, gun explosions and surprisingly well choreographed sword fighting. THE BAD The "appetizers" they present in the pre-show are not technically given to you. You have to fight for them(to the death)! There are 5-6 servers that come around with platters with some crappy looking meatballs and chicken wings that everyone flocks to. Make sure you pick up a sword at the gift shop on your way in so you can battle your way to that reheated chicken wing! Make sure you eat before hand and don't depend on the "appetizers", it seemed as if the rest of the guests hadn't eaten in days! In their defense, when you pay that money to get into a place, you take whatever you can for free. -The story was not original in the least but it will keep your child's attention. -You have to pull out your wallet before you even turn off your car. We paid $3 for parking and while it is only a minimal amount, they don't tell you about it either until you pull into the lot and see that sign....just sitting there....laughing at you.... THE UGLY -No food equals no service. However; at the end of the show our waitress handed us a slip with a tip suggestion. I was insulted she had the nerve to do so. Arrrgggg you freakin' kidding me? Here's a suggestion, next time sit out in the parking lot and collect my $3 to park. That's as much money as you'll be getting from me wench! -We opted for the show without the dinner. I am NOT paying $65 for a greasy chicken leg, soup, and a leaf for a salad. SORRY good luck suckering in the next group. (Hopefully after reading this review it will NOT be you!) Go for the $35 deal and just eat before hand)

I have been to Medieval Times a couple times at different venues and this Pirates show. The prices are pretty comparable at both places. However the Medieval Times show offer much better values than this one. The program at the Pirates show needs much improvement. The Pirates show lacks variety and flares..... may I suggest more pyrotechnics and perhaps add a cockatoo and a monkey? The food is indeed more tasty than that of Medieval Times. (Note: Food at these kinds of show are not meant to very delicious). Also, there's a $3.00 self parking fee? I just don't feel this additional parking expense is justifiable.

I was disappointed &went bc we had a coupon &it was rated by many on Google as w/in the top 5.Maybe I should have expected something more family oriented geared towards kids.I can honestly say it's not worth the full price.BOGO yes.I wanted to watch more acrobatics &actual things that ooh &ahh me,not cheesy dialogue where there is a romance story by the end of the show. There were a few cheesy fight scenes &even then I would have preferred more than the singing & acting. Parking $5.The lady selling the tixs was also quite rude to my bf's sister.Like some customer or person screwed over her day.I didn't have this issue but she pretty much ruined the first impression of this show for her.Make reservations. You'll still have to wait in line & go early. The worst really was going earl (1st come 1st serve basis for seating) since we arrived through the door (after waiting in line) at 7:10.You pretty much stand around until 8:15 unless you pay VIP (seating). They did do a decent job with small random performances & serving appetizers to make your wait more bearable but you will be standing or sitting on the steps like others(kind rude to block the pathway).Wear good shoes because they won't let you in any earlier to sit. You pretty much wait inside their souvenir &bar shop area (typical). The mini pre-show is pretty much filler space to kill time before the appetizers arrive. They had a young gentleman ask for kid volunteers(they had 3 girls & 1 boy)to hula hoop.None of which could hula hoop.Oh,it saddens me that hula hooping is a dying childhood sport! They also had a blonde do jumping (thru a hula hoop & jump rope) & walking tricks with her poodles. I've heard some pretty bad reviews of the food.It was average but I expected a lot worse. They had 4 app stations that arrive around 7:30pm.They actually have enough food for you to wait until the lie dies down. They had broccoli & carrot sticks with vinaigrette or Ranch dressing. Standard, but at least the veggies were fresh. They also had pita bread with hummus.Hummus was decent but the pita bread would have benefited from being toasted. It's served in mass portions,so I get it.There was also some type of tasteless shredded turkey (or pork bc I couldn't tell!) on slices of bread. Both were very bland. The best was the chicken salad because it had mayo & raisins in it & was accompanied with some type of thin fried bread sticks (similar to the wide noodles at Chinese rest). You can get seconds, too. By the time they announce the Pirates (there is one for each colored section of seating) they fired some really random gunshot/cannon sound that is loud, startling &without warning. This happens another time (or twice) during the show inside. The show tries to involve the audience by having you cheer for your pirate &doing random games of skill or speed such as picking one audience member to throw beanie bags up above to the pirate to be thrown into a bin far away & yonder. Orange 8 was my section &it was literally the second best seating area. The 1st is Red because even though we were right behind VIP & in the center of the stage,Red was the direction that they faced.Orange, you see their side/profile or their back side. The other sections are ok. The food was okay.I honestly expected a lot worse, but I had to turn a blind eye to the way they serve the food. The apps were served on disposable plates &with disposable utensils, but when you sit your plates are on the table.Your server brings a giant bowl for the salad & you pass down the tube of salad dressings.Fine.My issue is that they collect your plates in stacks to serve your entrée.Umm,excuse me but what if I get someone else's plate back & they touched or licked it?It's really gross if you think about it.Also,my server kept on sticking his finger into the mouth of the pitchers of water &Coke!I don't want to drink his finger!By the time the salad came back he had on gloves but that is a just a gross observation & it could have just been my server.Btw,the table was kind of sticky!Don't put your hands on anything. Salad, grilled roasted chicken w/ stm carrots &string beans along w/scalloped cheesy potatoes &apple cobbler with vanilla ice-cream.Salad was mostly lettuce& one roma tomato;he literally picks out one tomato which I find quite talented! It comes with shredded carrots & same 2 dressings.Free serving of beer &your choice of Coke or water are included.Just watch out for the finger server!Salad tasted standard. The chicken wasn't as tasteless as I expected.I didn't even have to use the bottle of hot sauce that I carried in my purse!I come prepared! The scalloped potatoes were decent because it was dressed in that cheap cheddar type of cheese. The vegs were tasteless& I think frozen or from a can.Apple cobbler was okay but we didn't get any of the crust. There was also cheap bulk bucket ice-cream! I really don't understand why the princess had a half-naked clothed gypsy friend or or server/accomplice to which she really cared for. I get that

Don't know why the reviews are so harsh, this was pretty fun experience for a night. The downside is the charge for parking (5$) and it was a little bit cold in the "arena". But besides that I found the dinner enjoyable and the actors were very friendly and funny

Well geez...I really don't even know where to begin with this review. I will give this restaurant if you want to call it that a "single" star. You want an honest review your better off saving yourself a lot of money by going to a KFC, Popeyes, or Boston Market! For starters the appetizers are canned fruit cocktail and tuna salad on a "single" cracker. There's only 1 choice for your children, which is Foster Farm chicken nuggets with no dipping sauce and Kraft Mac n Cheese. As for adult meals I can't rate the beef as my husband and I both chose the bone dried chicken served with Stove Top rice and frozen bland veggies. The chicken was so dry, my husband had asked our waitress for Tobasco sauce or even A1 to help the flavor and dryness of the chicken. They only serve you 2 varieties of soda which are Pepsi and Sprite. Not even ice water. The beer served with dinner is Budweiser. The highlight of the meal is the Betty Crocker brownie topped with chocolate syrup and canned whip cream! Forgetting to mention the salad has nothing in it besides a few olives which is disgusting. The Campbell's tomato soup is also terrible. Especially when you can literally see small clumps of flour they left in it, which was likely used to thicken the soup. Lastly you are required to pay $5 for parking which I didn't mind compared to the required tip they charge. Which is $5 from each adult, and $3 per each child! The performance was decent nothing spectacular, but the performers were very nice, helpful and friendly. So I'd suggest if your really considering trying this place. I'd highly suggest you think twice! I'm giving you a true honest review so if you do decide to go here. Don't be mad after you find yourself spending over an easy $100+ on frozen food.

Just attended this show (April 5th 2014). All I can say is thank god we had a groupon. And even at that price it was way over priced. We rolled into the parking lot early to be greeted by a lady collecting 5 dollars to park in their lot. Take my advise and just park in the lot next door. Walk inside and it's just as another reviewer described, a big area of overpriced drinks and gifts. My kids and I were looking at the gifts and noticed an office max tag still on one of them! Finally got into the show and it was not that good and the food sucked. Save your money and spend it somewhere else! You have been warned!

I'm made this account just to tell the rest of the world how bad this place actually is. Lets see its starts out incredibly unorganized even for people like me who purchased their tickets in advance. The appetizers are as disgusting as the cart the wheel out to serve them in. The beef skewers were so tough I had to spit them out. They were cold, dry, and along with chicken. The show was terrible. And if that's not enough for you the smell of mold in the show will with out a doubt turn your stomach. It makes me sick just thinking about it. Please people save your money because you will regret ever going there. Even the kids noticed how bad it was before I even said a word. I feel bad for the waiters being forced to serve that garbage.

OMG...where do I begin with this train wreck? I honestly believe that the higher star reviews must be planted by insiders because unless you're a child I just don't see how you could've really enjoyed the show and the food. To begin with, as soon as you arrive you realize you're going to get ripped off. The first hint of that is their attempt to charge you $3 to park. Huh? Really? Yup but we drove right into a spot and never paid. Purchasing your ticket is where the real fun begins...$25 upgrade for this, $7 upgrade for that, etc, etc. We, thankfully, didn't pay for any upgrades and took the standard ticket with the standard food. ANY UPGRADES ARE A WASTE OF MONEY NO MATTER HOW THEY TRY TO "SELL" YOU ON IT. For the pre-show, there is a cash bar which is probably why they tell you to get there so early...so you spend more money at the bar. It's certainly not for the pass around food because that was pure crap...chicken wings, meatball, vegetables and cut up chicken fingers all courtesy of your local frozen food section. So they seat you by color and this where the fun begins. We ask for our beer and are told they stopped including beer around 3 months ago, even though the brochures and advertisements all claimed that it was included. There's no sign or anything by the ticket window announcing this so we speak to our waiter. He gives us a little wink and says if you complain to the manager, he'll include it. Miraculously, without the manager ever coming over 2 pitchers of beer arrive. The whole thing stinks like BS and I believe they're simply trying to rip off the tourists who are too timid to complain. The food is terrible but I honestly didn't expect much. I guess it actually wasn't even as terrible as I thought it would be...Yay! Now for the show...it was actually pretty good for kids and the actors all try really hard. If it wasn't for them, I would've given this 0 stars. It's boring for adults but I can honestly say that my 10 year old loved it and was picked to go on stage. They do make a great effort to get as many audience members to participate as possible. In summary, if you decide to go, make sure you have kids because as adults you will be bored. Do not pay to upgrade to more terrible food. Complain if you don't get your free beer and make sure you have discount coupons because nobody pays full price.

My husband and I went here b/c we love going to dinner shows and we've had fun at Sleuths and Medieval times, so we thought this would be fun too. WRONG! It was way overpriced. For the amount of money you pay you hope the food is at least decent. It was pretty awful. Don't even upgrade to the lobster or steak if you go b/c it will be the lowest grade frozen crap they can find. Our waiter made sure to let us know up front we were only getting 1 pitcher of soda for the 2 of us and we only got 2 of those for the whole night. With how much ice they put in those things and how salty the food was, it wasn't very much soda. The show was pretty lame of course. It was comical at first and people participated, but then it just got boring and we lost interest. It really was a looong show. Way too long. If they cut it by a 1/2 hour it probably wouldn't have been as horrific. Towards the end, our waiter sticks a tip tray down and tells us that its not mandatory, but it's recommended.....blah blah and they give you the recommended tip scale as a reminder on the tray. Well, we felt since our dinner wasn't done yet and the show was still going it wasn't appropriate to place our tip down just yet. The waiter comes back to us and says "are you done with this yet?" referring to our tip tray! How rude. He pretty much was done with us and never came back to offer us anything since we didn't immediately give him his tip. I'm sure he didn't mind since then he could slack off in the back of the theatre. That pretty much turned us off completely from this dumpy place. Go to medieval times or Sleuths if you're looking for a dinner theatre for adults. If you have little kids that aren't going to care what's going on, like shiny swords, shitty food, and you don't mind spending a fortune--you probably won't mind going to this place.

I am giving it 3 stars for the ambiance. The actual boat and seating area was pretty cool. I got tickets online at skyauction.com and only paid $19 each. Otherwise, I would never go to a place like this ordinarily since I don't like shows normally. I will be fair and give it 3 stars because it wasn't as bad as the Arabian Nights horse dinner theater we went to last year. The place was not filled to capacity on the Sunday we went to so it was easy to get some of the appetizers. The chicken wings and drumsticks were greasy, but the rest was ok and hot. It was building up anticipation for the show for us. The soup was cold and horrible. The chicken and rice was actually good considering that for the rest of our vacation I had to endure mostly fast food. Can't go to nice places with a spoiled 3 year old prone to tantrums. The show was ok, but boring. I didn't like the Johnny Depp Pirates movie by the way so these things are not my forte. I don't know what I was expecting. I wanted fireworks and feeling the heat on our faces a la Phantom of the Opera or Fantasmic. I was also expecting to get splashed by water, but none of that happened. I was scared my son wouldn't sit through the show. He didn't eat his meal because he was so enthralled by all the acting and commotion since he's not used to live acts so I was proud of him, but they just had to have an intermission, and we were the only ones to walk out of there because he had already lost interest. So we drove to the big kiddie land Mickey D's so he could have a happy meal and run around the play area.

We loved it. We arrived an hour before and there were only two parties ahead of us. Once inside, we found seats by the bar and enjoyed a delicious Pina Colada in their signature glass. It was HUGE and only cost $10. Refills were half price. Three appetizers arrived to hold us over and they were quite tasty. Then the pre-show started to give us the opening to the storyline. The first mate, Mr McGee corralled everyone by color and introduced us to our pirate. Once inside the show, we were seated right in front of the stage, which is shaped like a pirate ship and is completely surrounded by water. We were immediately served sodas in large cups and the server asked if we would like a complimentary beer. Then salads were served with choice of dressing. It was fresh and the bowls were big. I wanted ice water and my server came out quickly with it. The pirates were singing some songs to set the atmosphere. Next came our delicious meal. We chose the chicken and we received a half chicken each and baked to perfection. It came with mixed vegetables and seasoned rice. There was so much food that I couldn't even finish mine. The show consisted of acrobatic and gymnast acts. The pirates were very entertaining as were the gypsy and the princess. At one point, they brought all the children on board. My 6 yr old daughter got up and started to go the wrong way but the pirate took her gently by hand and led her to the front of the pack of kids. She was dressed as a pirate and the Captain admired her outfit. They all had a great time. Then dessert was served; chocolate iced cake with whipped cream. There was a lot of action and singing and the actors stayed in character throughout the show. The server suggested a tip of $5 per adult and $3 per child. I thought it was quite reasonable for the great service we received so we gave him the full amount. After the show, the pirates brought us all back to the pre-show area and it turned into a nightclub scene with dancing. All the young people enjoyed it. The bartenders handed out boxes to carry the glasses back in and the gift shop provided us with bags. We absolutely loved it and we cannot say enough good things about it. We will definitely return next year with our friends.

I expected something similar to Medieval Times, but only from a dinner/show perspective. I liked this 10 times more than Medieval Times! Buy online, it's cheaper, but be prepared to spend way more for a better experience when you get there. We purchased the VIP package and ended up getting front row and with that comes actual involvement in the show. The show is based on pirates stealing a princess and fighting. Each area is a color and has a assigned pirate to cheer on in the fights and also to see which section can cheer the loudest. Expect it to be loud. Expect a decent pre-show in the lobby. Expect very crowded area pre-show unless you get VIP, then you have seating, app buffet and easier access to enter the show arena. The food was surprisingly good, especially the chicken. This show will entertain girls, boys, adults and children....Fun for the whole family! Overall my entire family loved our experience there. On the plane ride home after a week in Disney, we all agreed this place topped as the highlight of our trip! That is saying something considering we went to Walt Disney World...just saying....

I went here with a large group for a sorority function and I was not impressed! Hey, I'm all about acting a fool and not taking myself seriously... but even I found this show corny. There was some flashy pyrotechnics and funny one-liners... but for the most part I found myself bored. The food left much to be desired. My "Treasure's Chicken" and "Caribbean Rice" was tasteless and dry. I am probably one of the least picky eaters in the world and I found myself pushing the food around on my plate and not finishing it. They do offer free beer, wine, sodas and coffee during the show... so drink up while it's comp. Pirate's is definitely not a cheap evening out. Tickets start at $57.95 for an adult ticket. Seriously - NOT WORTH IT!

It's DinARR! And a Show! Pirates abound in this tourist friendly dinner show, and while this is one of the pricier dinner shows around town, it is well worth it in entertainment, crowd interactivity and of course, food! The Good: Great Performers: Everyone on stage did an exceptional job of keeping the audience engaged, and looked enthusiastic. Special props go out to the actor who played McGee, because he was incredibly funny and was definitely the MVP of the show. Lots of Chow: There are unlimited appetizers, a massive four course dinner, and then coffee and cake on the way out. Yes, you can eat until you feel a food coma coming on. Buccaneer Brawl: After the show, some of the cast get out on the dance floor and encourage everyone to do some dancing! It's a great way to burn off that massive amount of food that you ate during the show. The Bad: Hokey Story: Okay, I wasn't expecting the Phantom of the Opera, but come on. were on a ship...and I love the imprisoned princess -end- I mean come on! Pay for the Opera, get the dinner theater!: Tickets START at around $60 and can balloon to as much as $90 per person if you want nice seats, drinks, or specialty foods. A little too expensive if you ask me. Paid interaction. Wanna be in the show? Gone are the days of rasing hands, here you have to pay $10 extra per person and you'll get a spot in the show. A little much if you ask me, especially ater you factor in the already high cost of admission Pirates Dinner Adventure is a great attraction and will keep you smiling for your four hour visit to pirateland. It's a little on the pricier side, but if you don't mind the admission, then it is well worth your time! Overall 8.7/10 Pirate Fun!

I've been to Pirates Dinner Adventure three times and have yet to actually watch the entire show. Oooops! I'm sure you're thinking, "Wow three times, she must really like it!" Well, I really like the discounted tickets I get on Hospitality nights (select nights where local hospitality employees get cheaper tickets). The price of a ticket includes pre-show appetizers, dinner, dessert, wine/beer, and a show! Sweet! The food is decent. It's nothing too special. I actually get the kids chicken and rice meal because I really enjoy the rice. For drinks you get the choice of beer or wine. I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to get more than one refill (if any at all), but I always seem to get 3-4 glasses of wine each time I go. No complaints there (and now you might understand why I have yet to watch the entire show)! Overall, it's not something I'd pay full price for, but I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who can get the hospitality employee rate.

I love pirates! This place gets an A for set design. The stage (ship) is centered in the dome, and the seats surround the set. I'm pretty sure that from any angle, you get a good view. So adult tickets are $60 each, but my dad has a timeshare so we endured 2 hours of listening to a sales pitch (just to decline it at the end) but we got 2 free tickets, and had to pay just $40 total for the last ticket. The venue is pretty cool! The costumes were a little...TACKY. You would think that being in Orlando, which is tourist capital of the world, with sold out shows every night, with how many shows a week...the production could afford more elaborate and detailed period costumes...A few of the characters had decent costumes, but some of them had cheap colored corduroy or velvet with tacky ribbon. There's assigned section seats by color, and each color section is given a pirate to cheer for. It's pretty fun, there's competitions in the show where you get to scream your head off for your color pirate to win, I imagine it to be especially entertaining if you're boozed up (like my dad). So..to the food. Not so good. Limp salad appetizer with salty dressing. My sister had this creamy vegetable soup, probably made from a powder. The main course was a chicken thigh (nice and juicy), Caribbean rice (tasted like salt), shrimp (salty), and roasted garlic potatoes (soggy). For dessert, a sloppy pile of apple cobler (not a slice, it was scooped with an ice cream scooper) and a scoop of vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup. The dessert was the best. The show was pretty entertaining though, and I think because it was a pirate show I have to give it a good rating. It's like my love for Johnny Depp. He could do a movie about a caterpillar and I'd still give it two thumbs up.

So this was my first night in Orlando on my vacation while visiting some family. I was very disappointed. Luckily I only paid $19 because of my educator discount. I would not have paid one cent more because it was not worth it. First off we entered and was escorted to an open area where they serve some appetizers. The appetizers were awful. One was chicken salad with some hot fries on top. They did not have any beverages to drink unless you ordered it. Be very patient if the bartender is talking to a girl, you may wait a while for your cup of $2.50 soda. The meal itself was not great. They give you half of a chicken that tasted fresh out of the microwave and potato and some vegetables. There is no creamy soup just salad. The salad was one tomato and some lettuce and your choice of Italian or ranch dressing straight from a ketchup bottle. The show itself was not that great. A villain trying to capture a princess and gyspy that was twirling around. Towards the end there is a dragon, I don't remember dragons as part of the pirate genre, put in this play there is. Then at the end they give you a suggested tipping guide, $5 per adult and $3 per child. Be prepared for a lot of singing, some passing around a bag and some audience members playing games. Also be prepared for the $5 entrance self parking. If you still want to see this show after this review good luck, because you are going to need it!

The good news is that my 7 year old loved the show. The bad news was the rest...We were seated by our pirate. Then told by our server that we were in the wrong seats. He directed us to the front row. The server in that section told us we were in the wrong seats and that we had to move again. By this time the show was already at least 10 minutes into it. The pirate kept apologizing because he could see what was going on. Everyone in the blue section was served soup and salad and we had nothing. We would have left but our two boys were excited and we were out $200 at this point. Finally when it was time to serve the dinners our server realized we had not been served soup or salad. All of this was not his fault because he didn't even know we were in his section because we were moved so late. A manager came over and apologized. She helped serve our food and beverages. We felt very rushed as everyone else had already been served and we were just starting our salads. The manager said she would be back to see us after the show because she felt so bad. We never saw her again. We waited after the show to talk to her and nothing. Our very nice pirate apologized again and came back with the "general manager" who was completely rude. He didn't see what the problem was...we got fed and we had seats. Never mind that we missed quite a bit of the show being shuffled around and that we were rushing to eat our salads so we could have the hot food. All of which was very cafeteria style food. Dessert was a piece if red velvet cake with a teaspoon of cool whip on it. The general manager argued with me until people started showing up for the next show. He finally took my name and number and said he would contact me to make it right. Still waiting for that phone call!

Our service guy was slow, poured soda that had no ice, gave small servings to my wife, both of us were sick after we left. It was ridiculous and the service sucks. Medieval Times was a much better value in Orlando, Skip this dinner show, even at a discounted price its too much money..... Plus They don't tell you that you will need $5 to park for the show, a cheap way to rip you off. No other dinner shows in Orlando charge for parking!!

I visited Pirate's Dinner Adventure on Friday Oct. 2nd with my wife as a "hot date"! We had been waiting to try out the dinner for a while but didn't want to go during peak tourist season, so this night worked out great for us. TIP: They are currently running a deal for Metro Orlando residents for families of 3 or 4. The price for a family of 3 was $74.95, but the price for individual adults was $58.95. I called the reservations line and asked if we could have the family of 3 price even though just two of us would be attending (since that would save us $45). They laughed at first but then said that was not a problem. The doors opened at 6pm with a speedy check-in service and quick entry into the facility. You are greeted for a quick photo-op with a pirate before you settle into the bar/pre-show area. Appetizers were brought out when the pre-show began at 6:45pm which ranged from roast beef to pasta to veggie trays; generally the buffet style food was a step above your standard "free happy hour" fare. TIP: Hold off on buying booze during the pre-show. Although there is a full service bar, the prices are very high. 12 oz domestic bottled beer was 7 bucks, 24 oz domestic draft beer was 14 bucks (with $6.50 refills). Keep in mind, 2 rounds of beer (or soda) are included with your meal once you are in the main show. Also, the prices inside are cheaper. I purchased a 54 oz pitcher of domestic beer for 12 bucks, now that's a good price for just about any bar in the area. The pre-show was entertaining, though the mostly British crowd seemed unimpressed with the jokes and acts. Audience participation helps make the pre-show more inclusive, but the acrobatic acts really are the only thing worth seeing. Once the pre-show is you are ushered into the main dinner theater, which is impressive to say the least. A full size pirate ship is located in a large indoor pool with all of the ropes and ladders you would expect. The audience is broken up into one of six different ships surrounding the main ship with seating being banquet style with five rows in each section. All of the seats face the center of the room, so no issues with fighting for a good view. We sat in one of the VIP sections close to the stage because of the low attendance that night (no additional charge), but the seats behind us had just as good of a view. The first course was a choice of garden salad or creamy veggie soup; we each had the veggie soup. The soup was poured from a pitcher, as expected when in mass production, and it looked like something out of Oliver Twist. Surprisingly enough, the soup actually tasted pretty good though a little too much salt for my taste. The second course was a choice of pork loin or seafood medley; I took the pork and the wife went with the seafood. Both meals came with a chicken leg, steamed veggies and mashed potatoes. The pork had a nice, cream sauce, a little dry, but average in taste. The chicken was good, seasoned and cooked thoroughly. The wife said the shrimp in her seafood were average in taste with too much butter to add flavor. The last course was a choice of deserts, but due to the pitcher of beer I purchased, along with the beer shared from our neighboring guests, the only desert I remember was the apple cobbler. The cobbler was very good, served with a side of ice cream. I would rate the food as better than average based on the fact that they are cooking for a couple of hundred people each seating. Just like cruise ship food, every meal won't be the best ever, but you can expect the food to be good. The real value in the evening was the show. As mentioned previously, we were part of the orange ship and our pirate, Andre, made the evening very interactive and enjoyable. He made rounds through all of the tables talking to people and trying to get us involved in the show. I had volunteered earlier in the pre-show, but Andre was able to get the wife to help out in hauling treasure and raising flags on the ship. The main show was very good, not Blue Man or Cirque, but very good for the value. It can best be explained as a Pirate circus with a variety of acts from trapeze to trampolines to rope swings. A mix of humor and music add to the show; adults and children seemed to have fun. Overall I would rate the food as good, the entertainment as very good, and the overall experience as very good. Considering we had dinner, drinks, and a show for under 80 bucks, I would recommend this place to others.

  • We visited the Pirates show on our last visit to Orlando. I must say the show itself was terrible - no storyline, and certainly not enjoyable to watch - It was basically people running backwards and forwards with swords. The food however we found to be very nice - Maybe we are just not fussy, but we did enjoy the food. Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede show is certainly a lot better (no question), but unfortunately this has recently been closed due to the property being purchased.

I had such high expectations for this place. I thought it would be fun! I thought the food would be edible! No and no. First of all, we went to this because we have a 4 year old son who likes pirates. We got tickets ahead of time online so that we could save $83 (!). The website says to get there an hour and a half before the show. This is only so that you will be stuck in a room with cheap pirate stuff to buy and drinks to consume. At one point a little bell rang and two people came out with trays of appetizers. The only vegetarian item they had was a tray of carrots and broccoli with ranch. The other stuff looked like chicken legs, meatballs, and cut up chicken nuggets. So then the "show" starts. Several "actors" come out and spin this tale about pirates and lost treasure and I don't even know what else. It was very confusing to me, so who knows what my 4 year old got out of that. Then they start organizing the crowd by color. You are assigned a color on your ticket. You line up according to color and follow your "pirate" (dressed in your color). You are then seated and your waiter comes by and gets your drink order. We had special vegetarian entrees ordered, so he made note of that. You get a choice of creamy veggie soup or a salad. We all got the soup, which was barely warm. Meat eaters get pork and chicken with rice and potatoes, I think, while us vegetarians got veggie lasagna with a whole package of frozen veggies sprinkled around the edge of the plate. I ate about half of my lasagna. It really felt like I was being punked. The good thing was my son was totally into the show and liked it. Oh yeah, there was a show going on while we ate. The pirate ship itself is really cool. Then at one point the lights came on and they announced an intermission. WE WERE ONLY HALFWAY DONE. So then the show starts again and they call all kids up onto the ship. My son went up and really loved that. They give you "dessert", which was a spoonful of "apple cobbler" and a scoop of vanilla ice cream drizzled with chocolate sauce. It was bad. I kept looking at my husband and shaking my head. If you have a small kid that likes pirates, they might enjoy this. I am just glad we didn't pay full price.

The one star I have given to this dinner show is a bit misleading as Yelp does not allow you to give zero stars. It amazes me that Pirates Dinner Adventure has been able to stay in business as long as it has and I can only guess that it is due to their location near I-Drive and the apparent willingness of tourists to pay for anything if ther children whine enough. The previous review by Glen R is so dead on and I don't want to repeat a lot of his fine points but, bottom line, the food is horrendous and the show is so lame. A middle school drama class could have done better. Avoid this place. Total rip-off.

The picture of the awesome looking stage drew me in, but the show, food and service was lackluster. I paid the $25 for the Governor's VIP upgrade but I wouldn't say it was worth it. The lady who was in charge of the upgrades was really nice and helpful but she was about the only one who was. The upgraded appetizers in the VIP room consisted of cold ham, microwaved Mexican burritos which they called chicken fajitas, and broccoli cheddar casserole. The only thing I enjoyed was the portabello mushroom ravioli with sauce, which I had a few servings of. When they say that the princess makes a special stop in the VIP room before the show, they really mean that she comes in through a back door and basically says "Hey, see you at the show!", and leaves after 30 seconds. The private bartender isn't really worth it either because the main room has a bigger and more festive bar area. Lastly, because the VIP is blocked off in the back of the waiting area, you can't really hear what's going on during the pre-show when the characters come out and perform some magic tricks before the main event. I wont lie, the food itself wasn't bad except the chicken was a little on the dryer side. I wouldn't recommend the soup though, disgusting, get the salad. What I would recommend to Pirate's Dinner Adventure is to learn how to make their table service work with as little interruption as possible to the patrons!! I don't know how many times I was asked questions throughout the show so that I was lost on what the show was actually about. Before I knew it the pirate I was cheering for was out of the competition and I didn't understand what the characters on stage were doing. Imagine sitting through a 2 hour movie where you don't have the slightest idea of what's going on. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this show to an tourists looking for a dinner show. I would definitely say that Medieval Times is a much better show with a nicer venue, better pre-show area and clearer storyline to follow along. I feel like I wasted money coming to this show.

I went to Pirates Dinner Adventure last year while in Orlando for business. I was staying at the Fairfield Inn next door (they are seperated only by a parking lot), so since I had nothing else to do I figured I would check it out. The appetizer foods were deicious. I wish I would have filled up on them though, because I had awesome time was we were let into the main stage room. First they had doubled up on my seat, so they had to reassign me to a worse seat. Then my food was cold and my dessert was disgusting. They also limit you to only 2 beers (plus its Miller Highlife of all things!!!). The show was cheesy as I expected but the food and service were sub par.

We went here for our son's 3rd b-day, he himself thinks he's a pirate so we thought he'd enjoy it, and he did!!! We opted for the show only, and passed on the dinner...why pay an additional $40ish for slop, which is what you always get at these places? We did however pay the $25 for the birthday upgrade which was a fair price for what you get, a really nice hat, decent sized cake along with a scroll announcing him as a pirate and a name mention at the beginning of the show...he LOVED it all. On their site they fail to mention the $3 parking fee, or perhaps I just missed it, but that was a load of crap! The drinks are WAYYYY over priced; however the souvenirs are a good value. The appetizers were magical b/c the things disappeared into thin air, the vultures AKA other guests must not have eaten for days! These poor servers were literally attacked when they came through the door, it was pretty crazy and I was embarrassed for those people who were acting this way. We finally get called in and have no seats, well there was 1, but we were a party of 3! After some confusion we get moved to another section only to be moved again 5 minutes later to the next table over. After we were settled the show began and it was OK. It was wayyyy better than Arabian Nights that is for sure, but not worth the $70 or so to get in. I was satisfied knowing I only paid for us to get in, but at the same time the waitress still gave us her tipping instructions....we weren't served anything by her?!?!!? I was a bit insulted by that to be honest. I would recommend going, but only if there was a discount of some kind involved.

Its Medieval Times with Pirates gggrrrraaahhh! The food was actually pretty descent, and the show was entertaining. This place is a little smaller/cheaper than Medieval Times, but not as good. Worth trying if ya have the time, good for little kids and big kids at heart.

The show was was entertaining. Standing in the holding room in advance was less then awesome. They need to provide more chairs or benches...Appetizers were all microwavable snacks like meatballs, chicken, and such. We paid $3 to park which seemed like a rip-off. Everything cost extra. The beer in the ad is no-more. Only sodas & water come with the meal.

I was just there on 3/23/10 with my parents, my wife and our two children. The two stars above are for the actors and the show. We were all impressed with how dedicated the actors were to entertaining each and every person there. If I was only reviewing the actors, I would be awarding five stars. However, if I was only reviewing the management, the customer assistance personnel and the website, I would not be awarding any stars. Their lack of competence and their inability to be clear to the customer of what exactly is being purchased almost ruined the night for us. And they made absolutely no effort to make things right again. They just kept saying, "NO REFUNDS!" I say, "BUYERS BEWARE!" The actors were great pretend pirates, but the management were pirates of the truest sort. And my family and I were pillaged and plundered.

Ok, so this place is really cheesy, but I think it's part of the charm. Performing nightly, you walk into this massive pirate ship and are escorted away on a four hour journey of cannonballs, swashbuckling, and peg legs. What surprises me is that this place is PACKED nearly every night of the week, and at $60-$90 a ticket, it just proves that Orlando is never short of tourists looking for cheap thrills with a high budget. While the show definitely isn't academy award winning, there is some decent talent here, and perhaps the biggest testament to their acting ability is the fact that they can still act like they would rather do a different show. The meal you'll get is quite plentiful, so even if you don't like the show, you can't say you left hungry. All and all, a good place to go if you want some off the wall fun.

  • The Pirates Dinner is terribly overpriced. The pictures show children getting to interact with the crew. I even called to verify that the kids would get to shoot the guns as per the advertisement. What they failed to mention is that you have to pay to upgrade you seats in order for them to be eligible to do so. Additionally, they tell you to arrive 1 hour early. They still make you wait in line if you've already paid by credit card. And, your seats aren't any better for it unless you want to pay the VIP price. The food was terrible. There was condensed soup, a bag of lettuce, icy ice-cream, the worst dry chicken with no sauce, and what seemed to be instant potatoes. They would also not accept our British passports so nobody was allowed alcohol which was included in the price which I thought was outrages. We wasted $140 and 4 hours of our time. We actually felt like walking the plank by the end of the night.

We are locals in Orlando and were able to get 1/2 off tickets, so we thought we would check it out. SO BORING!! The food was mediocre, at best. Check-in was unorganized and $5.00 to park! Everything about this show was awful! The appetizers before the show, were just all put in the middle of the room and it was a zoo! They should put one in each corner to spread people out. Then, instead of picking your food on-line or when you call in, you have to do it at check-in. What a nightmare for parents with small children. After waiting in line for 35 minutes, to then have to decide on things? My children that went were 23 and 21, and they were even bored. The only smile we got was from our sweet waitress. The employees all looked like they hated it there. The people or company that own this place need to go check out Medieval Times and take a page from their business plan. There is so much you can do with a pirate show, but singing is NOT one of them.

  • This place is so fantastic, it is more expensive that some of the cheaper dinner shows but on a par with the medival or horse show. Set on a giant pirate ship it tells the tail of a princess captured for ransom and the captains son who falls in love with her and must fight agaisnt his father to save her. We upgraded to vip which was well worth it and didnt cost too much extra as we had $10 off tickets from a coupon book. The VIP gets you into a vip lounge where you can watch the start of the show in comfort before you are allowed in to the main part as they put on a gypsy show at the start. You get a private bar and a appertizzer buffet with mushroom rissto shrimp salmon chicken salad and fruit. You then get front row seating and automatic involvment in tbe show if you want it though there were loads of oppurtunities for the non vips to take part. The food was great starter was a lovely salad with dressing or soup I had mushroom ravoli but my fiance had the chicken breat with pork rice and potaotes, Pudding was ice cream with chocolate drizzle and apple cobbler. During the meal you get unlimted beer, wine and soft drinks. If your a vip you get champagne as well. The adventure was exciting the ship in the middle was fantastic and everyone got a change to get involved the pirates were great and got everyone excited. If you go VIP you get a photo on the pirate ship with the two main charaters and afterwards the pirates were out dancing with everyone and asking if you had a good time and there was coffee and cake A great night out and a must do if you are in orlando

I was not impressed with this place. It was overpriced, service was slow, and the food was barely average. The show was OK but would have been better if it had not been so loud. We should have requested to move from the assigned seats as the pole for ship's rigging interfered with our view of the act.

HORRIBLE FOOD. The service and management of this place is the worst of the worst. We walked out on the show because it was so bad. The waitress is overworked and has too many guests to take care of. The food was so nasty that I was starving and did not even eat half of it. It is completely dark while you try and eat chicken with bones in it. The beef kabobs are discussing with a gross sauce and the brownie and ice cream is hard and no flavor. Basically the food is worth $4 and you pay an arm and leg for the experience. One last thing they hit everyone with is $5 to park. This place is horrible.

Definitely a good time had by all.

we went here for the father's day dinner special with our extended family to celebrate our friend and my husband's first father's to be day since our little girl is due 8 days away from the holiday.

It was ok. You go to something like this for the show not food. Our waiter was slow. Good show.

The show was interactive, though it dragged a little. Great for kids who like pirates. The food was not very good nor fresh, hence the rating.

This was not a good experience! Don't go and spend the money... Place was half full and they still made us sit on the far back corner and could not see! We asked to move and they would not move us. Food is not worth the money either...

Don't know why the reviews are so harsh, this was pretty fun experience for a night. The downside is the charge for parking (5$) and it was a little bit cold in the "arena". But besides that I found the dinner enjoyable and the actors were very friendly and funny

I get that

    (3)

Its Medieval Times with Pirates gggrrrraaahhh! The food was actually pretty descent, and the show was entertaining. This place is a little smaller/cheaper than Medieval Times, but not as good. Worth trying if ya have the time, good for little kids and big kids at heart.
